Alison's Point of View
The afterparty had been way more fun than I imagined. We sang a song called Set it Off that Lucy and I somehow automatically knew the lyrics and dance moves to, and we had an awesome time with Mal and her friends. Sadly, the night had to end. Braig came to take us home, and with that, our magical night ended. As we walked through the dark corridor, Braig began discussing the plan with us for what would happen next. "When we get home, I expect you girls to go straight to bed. Tomorrow, Alison is going to the castle with Mr. Ienzo." Lucy let out a disappointed groan. "Hey, no huffing and puffing. I let you guys have your fun."
"Okay," Lucy sighed.
I took Lucy's hand. "You can always come to visit me. Remember?" I reminded.
"Yeah. I'll visit you a ton," Lucy promised. We left the dark corridor that led to the Prisms' house and went inside.
Clarissa was already in pajamas, and Ienzo was reading to her on the couch, but she turned to the door when we came in. "Daddy!" She exclaimed as she ran into Braig's arms. Braig picked her up.
"Hey, there, Duckling. What are you still doing up?" Braig asked.
"I told her she could stay up until you arrived home so she could say goodnight," Ienzo answered for Clarissa.
Clarissa wrapped her arms around Braig. "Goodnight, Daddy."
"Goodnight, Duckling," Braig said as he set Clarissa back down.
"Daddy, will you tuck me in," Clarissa requested.
"Of course I will," Braig agreed. He turned to Lucy and me as Clarissa dragged him up the stairs. "You girls go to bed, too."
"Yeah, Dad, we know," Lucy groaned.
Ienzo closed the book he was holding and stood up to face us. "I saw on the news. Are you both alright?"
"We're fine," Lucy assured him.
"Less talking, more brushing your teeth and getting pajamas on!" Braig called from up the stairs.
"We're going!" Lucy yelled.
"Good night, girls," Ienzo chuckled.
"Goodnight, Mr. Ienzo," Lucy replied.
I hugged Ienzo. "Goodnight," I added. His smell was comforting. I realized that his smell would always be the same no matter what form he took. It was a nostalgic reminder of the way things used to be. After a quick hug back from Ienzo, I followed Lucy upstairs, and we got ready for bed. When we were in bed, we started talking.
"That was seriously awesome. That afterparty was at their school, right?" Lucy checked.
Yeah. Auradon Prep. My sisters go there," I mentioned.
"How amazing would it be to go there?" Lucy commented.
"You're not seriously thinking about it, are you?" I questioned.
"I can't right now. I need to spend as much time as I can with my mom. She might not have a lot of time left," Lucy sighed.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. I'm sorry," I shuddered.
"It's just life. I still have hope that she'll make it out of this. I think I'll talk to her about the coronation tomorrow. Well, goodnight," Lucy said.
"Goodnight," I yawned back.
