The Owl Sisters I: Sisters in Demon World Chapter 4-The Intruder

It was a cloudy afternoon in the Boiling Isles and twins were having some fun time with King.

"And here we have the most fearsome creature in the world, the King of Demons," Luz recorded on her phone to show King hilariously trying to tear a sock. "Facing his natural enemy, the ducky sock."

King was struggling with the sock unit and he ripped the sock to shreds.

"Who's the beast now, ducky sock?" King asked.

"Why did you call us here again?" Lana asked.

"Oh yeah," King remembered, then climbed on a table. "Human Luz, Human Lana, you've been so obsessed with witchcraft that neither of you haven't learned anything learned anything about my kind. Prepare for Demon 101."

He pulls back a blanket, revealing tons of pictures and King puts on a fake professor hat.

"Demons like me are grim tricksters of the twilight, creatures of sulfur and bone."

"And cute little paws," Luz zoomed her camera on him while Lana snickered.

"And some have cute little paws," King sighed and proceeded to continue. "True. We live only to create chaos and misery. Most of our weakness is holy water and sometimes passive aggressive comments."

"Damn, you guys are sensitive," Lana exclaimed.

"Trust me, even demons have inner demons. The most powerful one is… the Snaggleback. He's a…"

"Bad boy," Luz said.

"Total maniac," Lana added.

"Guys, pay attention. This information could save your life someday," King gestured to the board.

"Slow your roll furball, we totally focused," Lana told him.

Then lightning crashes then followed by thunder.

"Uh-oh, looks like it's going to rain," King said while looking out the window then Luz gasped.

"I love the rain," Luz said, then headed out.

"Luz, wait!" King and Lana followed her.

"I always love feeling the first few drops," Luz stepped into the open then looked into a flower. "I bet you do too, little buddy."

A raindrop fell on the flower, burning it to a crisp.

"Whoa!" Luz said.

"Boiling rain! Everybody inside now," Eda said as she grabbed Luz's arm and pulled her into the house then some house objects falling were heard. "Whew, that was close. But the important thing was you didn't get hurt."

"Yeah, not hurt," Lana grumbled as Eda saw the twins were on each other with King on top.

Much later…

"Look, now we're boo boo buddies," King said as the three have bandages on them.

"Oh my gosh, I love you so much!" Luz squealed before falling into the ground.

"Really, boo-boo buddies? It sounds dumb," Lana said to him as Celestia and Eda were gathering magic.

"No wonder why they call it The Boiling Isles, the rain can burn your skin alive. That's nuts with a capital N. And isn't that a little on the nose?"

"Yeah, we don't have weather. We have plagues, gorenados, shale hail, painbows," Eda said to Lana.

"It's like a rainbow but it turns you inside out," Celestia added which both human girls shuddered. Then Luz closed her hood and Lana shivers.

"TMI, Teach."

"So, until the boiling rain stops, no one is allowed outside tonight," Celestia said to everyone.

"And if the rain doesn't get you, the Snaggback will," King chimed.

"Well, whatever the case, this forcefield spell should protect the house from boiling rains and made-up demons," Eda said then conjured a giant bubble that covered the entire house.

"Wow! Someday I'd like to be as cool as Eda the Owl Lady," Lana said.

"You already made your first step by being a professional sass bucket," Celstia smiled at her.

"It's not my fault that I like to taunt enemies."

"But I always wonder why do they call you Owl Lady, I mean why do they call Celestia, The Witch of The Sun?" Luz asked.

"Because I shine like the sun," Celestia answered.

"They call me the Owl Lady because I'm so wise," Eda added.

"Really? Wise? You? You three buy that?" Lana asked King, Hooty and Celestia.

King and Hooty shake their heads no and Celestia gives I'm not really sure.

"That's debatable, I mean sure you're a foxy badass and your advice on the slimeball helped me and Luz at Hexside but I wouldn't call it wise. At best, pure dumb luck."

"Sometimes, luck is a factor. Dumb or otherwise."

"I know why… Cause she coughs up rat bones."

"Or she gets distracted by shiny things."

"I do not."

King pulls a flash pen from his hat and turns it on. Eda's eyes widened.

"It sparkles and shimmers. It shines and delight. I must have it for my nest…" Eda lunges for it but King pulls it back and Eda crashes on the ground.

"Not distracted by shiny things, huh?" Lana's eyes rolled.

"You have a nest? I want a nest! Nest Party!" Luz cheered as Celestia helped Eda up.

"Thanks. Ugh, that force field really took it out of me," Eda groans a bit.

"Uh-oh, moving a little slow. Age is finally catching up to you?" King asked, then Eda pulled his hat down. "AHH! Darkness!"

"This is perfect, Lana. Since we're stuck in the house all night Eda won't have any excuse to teach us something."

"But don't you wanna finish our lesson? I'll let you scratch my tummy," King asked as he climbed into Lana's head.

"Like this?" Lana said then scratched his belly.

"Oh! Yeah, that's the spot."

"I'm sorry King but… Magic."

Once everyone was in the Owl House, Eda changed into her pjs then plopped on the couch. Just as she was about to fall over, a shadow fell over her and Eda opened her eyes to see Luz standing over her.

"Eda, have I ever told you that your fang looks rad today?" she asked.

"Whatever it is, no," Eda frowned as Lana walked over.

"Have you considered yourself a professional role model?"

"I don't know what that is and I'm not teaching you magic tonight. I'm a sleepy little owl," Eda covers herself with a blanket.

"Eda, we have been here for weeks, how in the hell are we going to earn our staff if we don't know stupid spells? Can't either you or Celestia teach us one simple spell, that's all we were asking."

"No. Sleep." Eda covered her head with the blanket.

Playing hardball, huh? Two can play at that game. Lana grinned.

As Eda was trying to get comfortable, Eda suddenly heard a clicking noise.

"Sparkly thing."

She sat up and saw Lana turning the pen light on and off.

"Oh, this?"

Eda reaches to grab it but Lana moves it away.

"Nope! Here's the deal, lady. You teach us one spell; I give your sparkle thing and let you sleep," Lana said to her, having a smug look.

"I respect your cunning, but I also hate you for it," Eda glared at her.

"If you want a witch's staff like mine or Celestia's," Eda struggled to stay awake. "Witch's staffs have power embedded into them."

"Go on, I'm listening," Luz said.

"But before you can earn one, every witch needs to know how to cast spells on their own," Celestia said.

"With that, we'll show you how to make… Light!" Eda said.

Both of them did a spell circle and within seconds they were holding a ball of light which both twins were amazed as King yawned of boredom.

"Who needs another boring spell lesson when you can learn about ways a demon could kill you?" King suggested as he held a picture of a demon eating a human body. "So teethy."

"Dude, shush." Lana quieted him.

"Now most humans think that magic is made out of thin air, but that's stupid. Everything comes from something. Let me ask you, kids. Where do you think magic comes from?"

"I dunno, from the heart," Lana said.

"Actually you're right."

"What! Magic comes from the heart!? I thought it was corny as hell."

"Believe it or not, it does, it comes from a sac of magic bile attached to a witch's heart," Celestia showed them a picture.

"Can I keep the picture?" Luz asked.

"No. Now everything depends on the circle. The bigger the circle, the more powerful the spell."

"Okay, how can we do magic, since we don't have a magic sac?"

"To be honest, I don't have the slightest clue."

"What!?"

"I know witches did magic differently in the past, but I never bothered to figure out how."

"Eda!"

"Don't worry, You two can figure it out," Eda said as she cracked her back.

"That's it? Wait! I need to see you do the spell circle. We can record on our phones!"

"Alright, fine!" Eda did it again.

"Now you see, the key to doing a spell circle is…"

Eda's eyelid flustered before she collapsed to the floor.

"Crap, I think we killed her," Luz said, worried then Celestia looked at her.

"No, she's alive," Celestia said, then King went up to fallen Eda and slapped her then Celestia glared at him.

"What? Just making sure," King exclaimed.

"We need to get to help, now!" Luz ran heading for the door but Lana stopped her as she grabbed her collar.

"Boiling Rainstorm, remember? King reminded her.

"And the fact that we're not supposed to be outside or we can be burned alive!"

"No, let her try. It'll be funny," Hooty commented then Lana kicked him in the face.

"Not helping dude," Lana told him as King closed the door.

"But what if she's dead?" Luz asked her as Eda mumbled.

"Luz, remember when she got her head sliced off, and she was able to talk," Lana reminded her. "That woman have massive balls to survive something like that."

"She's probably tired from chasing voles last night," King chimed.

"But still, we can't leave her on the floor. Come on, help me lift her up," Celestia said.

Soon, the four carried Eda to her room; they grunted as they lifted her up and laid her on her nest.

"Man, for being skinny, she weighs a lot," Lana said.

"Sorry for pushing you, Miss Eda. Please don't hurt me when you wake up."

"Should I bap her again?"

"No, let her rest you little furball," Lana rubs his head then three headed out her room.

The moment they are gone, King quickly slaps Eda and runs with a cackle.

In the living room…

"This is all she does. Why does she gotta be so cryptic?" Luz asked as she and Lana were looking at the video as King was drawing.

"She makes it look so easy," Lana added.

"Hey," King put his sketchbook over the phone. "You know what is really cryptish? The most spine-chilling demon… Smootchie Pie the Sweetie Baby."

"What?"

"He's a lot more threatening than his name sounds."

"Not now, King. I want to figure this out so I can do magic. But I don't have a bile sac so what's the point? I'll just be twirling my finger unmagically forever," Luz sighed.

"Just being curious, why do both of you want to learn magic so badly?" King asked.

"We were nobodies at home. People look at me as the fantasy loving dummy…" Luz said.

"Or me being a violet manic who recklessly takes things into her own hands without having second thoughts. But becoming witches is a chance to be someone. Do you have any idea what it's like when someone can't take you seriously, man?" Lana asked the demon.

"If I help you learn that spell, could we finish our lesson?" King asked.

"Oh, yes, yes," Luz perked up. "You can teach me about demons all week i you help me learn this spell."

"Well she said witches used to do magic differently so there has to be a way and I have a theory. Every day I notice Eda sneaking drinks of this special elixr. Then she always gets a boost of energy. I think that's where she gets her powers," King said. "And I know where to get one."

"You do?" Lana asked.

"Si," King responded, then Luz hugged him.

"Thank you so much! You're a prince!"

"King. I'm King."

"Right."

So, King sneaks into Eda's room, avoiding a talking trap and steals an elixir Eda had on her table near her nest.

"Got it," King entered the kitchen where the twins were.

"Wow, I can;t believe I'm going to learn magic, real magic! This is historic," Luz said grabbing the bottle.

She slowly lifts the potion to her mouth. A clap of thunder startels her and she fumbles the potion until it smashes on the floor.

"Oh shit! Not only we can gain magic but Eda will have our heads!" Lana exclaimed.

"Who needs a light spell when we have lamps," King said and not a moment too soon all the lamps die causing the entire house to go dark as both girls glared at him.

"You had to say something smart," Lana said.

"Hoot controls the house lights. He must've fallen asleep."

Then a loud crash was heard.

"Hoot, Hoot!"

"Hooty!" yelled Luz, jumping up off the stool and rushing to the front door, with King climbing on her shoulder. Lucio followed them with his bat but all three of them stopped and gasped in shock.

All the furniture was torn up, the windows were broken, and there were big claw marks on the walls. But what made them stop was what was right in front of them. The door had been kicked in by a large creature, and Hooty's eyes had turned into crosses. Brother and Sister could not see what it was, but they watched as it clawed its large claws into the door. Then it looked unhappily at the trio with its yellow eyes, glowing intensely.

Lana quickly strode forward and pointed her trident at the monster. "Stay back," she said to the beast, showing courage. The creature didn't move for a second. Then it suddenly ran away and disappeared into the boiling rain.

Luz and Lana ran up to Hooty as King jumped on the bottom of the door. "Hooty! Are you there?" Panicked Luz, opening his eyes to thankfully see that he wasn't dead, only unconscious.

"Okay, what the hell was that?!" Yelled Lana

King ran his finger over the claw marks left by the creature before he gasped in shock. "The Snaggleback! It feeds during the rains. He must have stumbled into our house and seen us inside!"

The trio heard a loud, shrill howl. Lana and Luz ran to the edge of the force field and saw the creature jump high and crash into an overhead window.

"It's in the house!" Shouted Lana.

"That's awful!" said Luz, before she noticed King giggling like a happy child. "So why do you look so happy!"

"Because it could be a lesson. It would be a great way to see a wild demon up close and personal," said King.

"So you want us to go meet this thing? No thanks."

"Well, Eda's still inside! She's upstairs and defenseless because you two knocked her out!" King reminded. They groaned simultaneously

A few minutes later, the trio armed themselves with everything they could find in the kitchen.

When everything was ready, Luz pulled out her phone and turned on her flashlight. All three of them stopped at the foot of the stairs, looking up, and Luz stood behind the girl with the trident.

Taking a deep breath, they began to climb the stairs. Each step they took on each rung of the stairs caused them to creak. The sisters looked around the corridor, and King followed them. Their light was just enough for them to see what was in front of them.

Another creak startled them, and when they looked, they saw that Eda's bedroom was opening. Going to the door, Lucio pushed it open. What they saw made them gasp. The room was ruined, the floor was strewn with broken glass, and Eda's nest was a mess.

"Oh my gosh, Eda!" yelled Luz as they ran to the nest.

"She got snaggle-backed!" Shouted King. When the two children reached the nest, they looked around for Eda, but all they saw was a shredded pillow. Frowning, they tore it off, fearing the worst had happened to their teacher.

Luz turned to the little demon and approached him. "King! You're an expert on demons. Will you help us beat this thing?"

"I'll go get my demon book!" King ran out of the room, unaware that something had flown over him. He returned with two different books. "Wait, wait, first or second volume?" He asked, but saw that no one was there, gasping with fear he dropped both in the process."Luz? Lana?" Then he heard something whistle behind him.

"You craven beast! Give me back my boo-boo buddies!" He shouted as hard as he could, chasing after the creature. As soon as he turned the corner, he saw one of the twins' shoes in front of the just-closed door. "No..." He lifted the shoe sadly and looked forward, opening the door. Using the shoes as a makeshift weapon, he rummaged through the closet and noticed something hiding behind a coat.

"You've got nowhere to run!" He pushed the coat aside and wasn't expecting to see what was behind it. "Snaggleback?" The demon in question turned out to be a small pink monkey-like creature with a spiky shell. "Wow. You're much shorter in person."

"I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Muttered the Snaggleback. "I just needed a place to hide from the rain!"

"Then why did you break down our door and grab my friends?" King asked. "That's not cool, man. Bad Snaggleback!"

W-what? I didn't do anything like that!" He responded to King's confusion. "I came in through a window just now."

"Huh? Well, then what-" A loud cracking sound was heard, catching them off guard as a large hand grabbed the Snaggleback.

"Oh no! A twist!" He screamed, being pulled back into the hole he had just made. A terrified King stepped back, and there was another rumble, howl, and growl. King squeaked in fear as the door slowly creaked open, revealing the creature they had seen earlier, spitting out Hook's shell. Then it roared toward it.

"Oh my..." He landed on his end and bounced back against the wall. "Stand back! Hey, hey. I'm the Demon King, okay? And that's why I demand that you throw up my friends!" As King continued to run, something pulled him into a room and quietly closed the door.

The creature snorted annoyed as it passed them, thinking its prey might be somewhere else. As for King, he saw that he had been rescued by his human friend and her sister. "Luz?"

"King..." She lowered him and knelt to his level. "Oh, I'm so glad you're safe."

"Where did you go?" He asked them.

"We were checking on Eda, and she was gone and then you were gone. And we tripped and lost our shoes on the way in here. I also dropped my bat to save space." Lana explained, Luz, noticing that King was holding the shoes.

"What about Celestia?" King asked.

"Went to her room, and she was knocked out coldly," Lana replied

"Oh, you found it!" Said Luz, lifting her foot to slide on her shoe and Lana did the same. Then King saw she had something on her foot.

"What is this?" Asked King, picking it up. It was a piece of paper that looked to be torn in half. "Keeps the curse at bay…"

King read, gasping at the realization. Taking the token, King pulled out the same one he had previously tucked behind his collar. He put them together and they matched perfectly.

"An elixir a day keeps the curse at bay."

"Curse?" Luz questioned, getting up with both shoes on her feet. "Wait, what are you trying to say?"

"I was wrong the whole time…" said King anxiously. "That's no Snaggleback. That monster is…"

The trio screamed as a giant claw burst through the door. The creature burst into the room, this time with faint light from outside revealing its form. The monster resembled a large owl-like beast covered in gray fur. Behind its intrusive black eyes and sharp teeth was the face of one you cannot deny.

"Holy Crap, Eda!?" Said Lana in shock.

Eda grinned bloodily at her students and approached them.

"Eda, it's us!" Shouted Luz to her.

But all she managed was a snarl, rising to her feet and raising her claws in the air to strike.

The twins screamed and hugged each other in fear, closing their eyes in preparation for death. As they did so, however, Luz's phone slipped out of her pocket and fell to the floor. When it hit the ground, the flashlight was triggered.

The light made the cursed witch's eyes return to normal for a moment. She screamed in agony and rubbed away her sensitivity. This gave them a chance to pick up King and Luz's phone before rushing over to the small stone wall on the upper balcony of the house. They quickly climbed over the wall and hid behind it, Eda letting out another roar.

As the cursed Eda searched the room for them, she walked over to the wall behind which they were hiding. They covered their mouths with their hands, trying not to make any noise. Eda growled, trying to sniff them out

Just then, Lana spotted a metal can and threw it elsewhere with her eyes closed.

A metallic clang attracted the attention of the monstrous owl. She roared and ran toward the sound.

They checked back, relieved to see she had gone away.

"Oh man, that's Eda! She's become some sort of owl monst-ohh! That's why she called the Owl Lady," Lana realized. "But seriously, what the hell happened to her!?"

"Don't you see? The elixir I gave you doesn't give Eda magic. It keeps her from turning into that… thing. She's turned into a nightmare, and it's all my fault!" said King, falling to the floor in shame. Luz looked at him sadly. "I'm really sorry, guys. I...I just wanted you to be as much into demons as you are into magic. I don't have many friends, and no one even pays that much attention to me. I thought if I taught you two, someone would finally take care of creatures like me."

She took out her glowy pen and held it out to King. "Well… let's finish the lesson."

"Hmm?" King spoke curiously.

"Eda has turned into some kind of demon, and we need to bring her back to normal before she can do any more damage. And to do that, we're going to need the best demon expert in the world."

King looked at Lana and Luz before pointing at himself.

"Yes, you furball. Look I'm sorry we've been ignoring you lately. When this is over we promise to pay more attention to you. What do you say little buddy?"

"Let's see. She was large, covered in feathers, and had huge black eyes. Demons with black eyes are usually sensitive to light," King informed his two friends. He paused before pointing to Luz's phone. "This is it. The light! Luz, use your rectangle of human wonder."

"I can't. The camera's all busted." Sighed Luz, showing the demon her cracked phone screen. "How about your phone, Lana."

"The flash doesn't work on mine," Lana said.

"Then what about the light spell?" King pointed out.

"Dude, neither can draw a spell circle in the air. We're not Eda. Wait a sec…" Lana pulled the video and watched very closely as just as the video was about to end something began to appear on her screen.

It appeared and disappeared before finally revealing itself. It was a strange glowing symbol inside a circle. It was a large triangle in a circle with a smaller triangle and a circle on top. In the middle was a long line that was crossed by two smaller lines, side by side inside the large triangle.

"Hold the phone, there is a pattern in the circle!" Lana exclaimed.

"What?" Where?" Both King and Luz asked.

"It looks something like this." Lana placed a leaf on top of her phone and traced the symbol. "Here," She tapped it out of habit, and the leaf wrinkled and glowed before turning into a ball of light. Surprised, she carefully lifted it with her hands.

"Ooh, let me try," Luz did the same thing and she was holding a light orb. "It's beautiful. My gosh. I just… did magic…" She stopped for a minute before the full realization washed over her. "I just did magic!" She shrieked, standing up. "I just... Mmph!"

"Quiet! We're not going to stop anything with something that small," Lana said.

"I have an idea," Pitched Luz. "King. If you can get Eda to me, I can try to create a giant light spell that will stop her. What do you say, boo-boo buddy?"

She said, holding out her fist.

King grinned. "I'm getting tired of that nickname. But okay." The two bumped their fists.

Back in the living room, Eda continued her search, but to no avail. That was until the sound of a click caught her attention. Lucio held up the fake glowing stone on her pen. Even though Eda was in her monstrous form, she seemed so fascinated by the glow, her eyes sparkling with awe. As she charged forward, they darted for the wall. She approached them, and Lucio grabbed King. They leaped sideways toward the wall, while Eda tripped on several books, making an emergency stop. She got up slowly, growling furiously.

Then she saw Lana throwing a blanket over her.

"Sorry, Eda... But it's for your own good!" As Luz finished drawing the symbol, Eda knocked the blanket off of her head. With a grunt, Luz slapped her hand on the symbol, flashing a powerful light. The transformed witch screamed as the bright light enveloped the entire house.

Eda awoke abruptly with a long straw in her mouth. It confused her for a moment.

"Aah!" She was startled to notice that half of her face was still beastly. She quickly slurped up the rest of the elixir. When she did, the gem on her chest returned to its original color and the black was washed away, the rest of her face restored to normal. "W-what happened?" She was baffled about what had happened. "Oh, I have a bad headache. And my mouth tastes like roadkill."

Right at that moment she spat out a large pellet that cracked open, revealing the Snaggleback was still alive.

"I'll just... lie here for a minute..." He said, traumatized.

"Um..." She noticed the elixir in King's hand. "I was looking for this."

"Actually, we found an extra one in your closet," said King, approaching them.

"King?" She put the pieces together. "King! You stole my elixir?! I should break all your bones..."

"Shh!" interrupted King, and they pointed to a corner where Luz and Lana were drawing a light symbol on several pieces of paper. After they were touched, they would curl up and become glowing orbs of light.

At the moment, Celestia came in and both witches were shocked.

"Wow..." She looked at the glowing spheres floating in the room. "How is she doing that?"

"I don't know, but she did it all by herself," King was as amazed as she was. But he knew what was coming next. "Hey, I, uh, kind of messed up a bunch of stuff there. And I just wanted to say, I'm sorry."

"Well you better be, I have a list of chores that have your name on it," she said firmly, making the demon flinch. Then she sighed as twins approached them. "But it's not really your fault..."

I haven't been completely honest with you guys..." She paused for a moment. "When I was younger, I was cursed, I don't know exactly how it happened." She took the vial right next to her, looking down at it. "All I know is that if I don't take my elixir, well, that's why people call me The Owl Lady. No one likes a curse, but if you take the right steps, it's… manageable."

"Got it, they call you that, because transforming into an owl beast hates to spoil the moment but… ha! I knew it!" Lana exclaimed.

"You do realize, I'm too out to slap you in the face."

"Okay, I'll shut up now. But still that is messed up, are you sure you are going to be okay?"

"You two have nothing to worry about. Everything's under control," said Eda, sitting down on the edge of the nest. "As long as no one steals my elixir... King..." she pointed at the demon. "…then I'm fine. But, hey, look at this. A human doing magic. Well done, kids."

"We got some encouragement from a great teacher," Luz said, looking at King with a smile.

"Oh, you..." King playfully brushed off the compliment.

"HEY! HEY! HELLO?! HELLO?!" Shouted a familiar, albeit annoying voice from below. "I'M ON THE FLOOR! IT'S COLD!"

"That voice. That awful voice!" exclaimed King irritably, leaving the room.

"We'll take care of him. You stay in bed," Luz told Eda before she, Lana, and Celestia went and got Snaggleback. "Come on, you goopy fella. We'll set you free now"

"I think my tail was digested," Snaggleback said as she carried him out of the room.

Eda smiled when she came out and lay down on her nest and went back to sleep.

In Eda's dream, she was standing in front of a door. Everything around her was dim gray, and a low whispering could be heard.

"No... Not that memory again..." The door suddenly opened, and the light and shadow made out the silhouette of a man.

"You! You're the one who cursed me, aren't you?" She got no answers, only more whispers. "Who are you, who are you!? " When she wanted to go to the door, everything went white.

Eda was suddenly awakened by heavy breathing. Quickly looking around, she saw that she was back in her bedroom. Realizing it was just a dream, Eda sighed.

Meanwhile, on the stairs by the door, Lana was putting Hooty back in place, and Luz was sticking a Band-Aid on the places that Eda had clawed at.

"Welcome to the boo-boo buddy club, Hooty," Lana said. "Gotta find a better name for it."

"But I like it!" Luz cooed as they did the awkward sister hug.

"Finally! I can be a part of something!" said the owl.

As for King, he interviewed Snaggleback. Writing down a detailed description of his encounter with damned Eda. "And then she had teeth in her stomach. Teeth in her stomach! Can you believe that?" Snaggleback said.

"Oh, yeah. This will make a great addition to my demon book. said King to the other demon, showing him a drawing of cursed Eda and the notes he had made.

"That book is filled with so many interesting things. Like this." Snaggleback picked up one of King's books and opened it to the page with his kin. "I'm one of the strongest demons on the Boiling Isles, huh?"

"Yeah, I'll have to edit that out."

"…Oh." Snaggleback groaned sadly.
