"What's this about, papa?" Anya asked, curious.

He pulled out something, and set it on the the table- Anya looked over, and gasped.

"That lady looks just like Anya!" she said, amazed!

"She should, even if she doesn't exist" her papa thought, before looking at her - she reacted with shock. "This is a picture of me, you, and your previous mother, Anya. The one who's currently passed away, as I've previously said to Yor."

Huh!? This lady's not real!?

Oh, wait! Yeah, mama doesn't know that she's adopted, because it's part of papa's story!

Mmm, if only this lady who looks like Anya were real though!

"Her name is Faline, and I'll make sure you remember it. For right now though, I don't want you to mention any of this to Yor-"

"Why?"

Papa blinked, before shrugging. "We need to figure out details about who she was as a person, and I'll need to make up tales about us as a family first. The story about this woman must be solid, after all. I hope you understand how important that is."

She nodded, holding her fists up, excited. "Anya will do her best!" she cheered-

"That's good."

She giggled, only to jolt as she became confused.

"Why do you need this picture though, papa?"

He shifted, and took a little time to answer... seeing this, Anya carefully focused on his mind-

-it was hard because he was thinking so many things, but she got one of them at least:

"Because even after my mission is over, I'll be remaining with this family. And with time, Yor - or some other person who knows my cover identity - might speak about my supposed late wife. In such cases, it's better to have an idea of who this fictional woman was, and have a convincing story to help support that she has existed..."

Anya gasped, though papa didn't notice because he kept thinking stuff.

Papa's... going to stay, even after his mission is over?

He's... he's gonna stay with them!?

He'll be her papa forever!?

She began shaking, tears growing in her eyes- papa then let out a breath.

"Because Yor might want to know more about this Faline one day" he said, lip curving as he looked at her. "So we'd better have a good sto... um, Anya?"

Papa barely finished before she ran toward him, hugging his leg- he moved, startled, but Anya didn't care as she held onto him! All she could think about was that if papa's gonna stay with her, mama, and Bond, then he... he must love them, right!?

He must love her! That makes her so happy!

"Papa" she breathed, before remembering that she has to say something else, or he might find this weird!

He let out a sound, but his hands slowly came down, one touching her hair and the other her back. "Anya, are you okay?" he breathed, unsure but concerned.

"Y-Yes. I'm just... I'm just really happy that you're my papa! I have fun with you and mama every day, and I want that to keep happening!"

For a little, Papa didn't say or think anything, but then he picked her up-

-surprised to be on his lap now, Anya looked up, breathing heavily.

He smiled a little, keeping one hand on her back. "Well, you don't have to worry about that, Anya" he breathed. "There's still a lot of things we can learn as a family."

Feeling fresh tears come up, Anya happily hugged papa tight, and her smile was the same way.

Deep down, she felt warm...

"I love you, papa!"

Papa jolted, not that she noticed- in fact, for awhile he just looked at her as she held on, happily snuggling against him (along with crying). What she did notice is that after awhile, papa started lightly stroking her hair, which almost made her gasp.

Yet she smiled bigger, really happy!

Nighttime

Some days later

"If you don't mind, Yor, there's something I'm curious about."

"What is it?" Yor wondered, looking at him.

Loid spent a moment thinking to himself, seated on a chair just beside his bed; for tonight, they were starting with talking again before doing anything else. Overtime, as the nervousness of what they did started to die down - though it's still there - she'd realized that his newest plan had really helped things out. It made her not know what to expect (sort of), but it was also giving her plenty of new experiences while being 'helped' by the previous ones. Perhaps it'll still take time before she'll fully get used to all this, but it's making her feel more confident that she can one day!

"Well, I've spoken about your physical features once or twice" Loid mused, if gentle. "But I'm curious as to what you might have to say about mine."

"A-Ahh!?"

He moved slightly at her startled reaction, though it was only intense in the moment- even so, he blinked twice before raising a hand.

"Um, if that's okay" he added, slightly sheepish. "I was just thinking that it could be good practice for you. But if tonight is too sudden, you can think on it, and I'll change the subject."

It took a few seconds for her heart-rate to go back down, but even so, hearing that helped- it's just like Loid to reassure her when she's nervous.

It's nice to have this kind of support... really nice, in fact.

"Oh, no, it's alright Loid" she breathed, a bit sheepish. "I- I was just surprised."

"Mmm. Fair enough."

"And, um..."

Loid simply looked at her as she tried to think, calm as always- glancing at him, this sight made her ease.

"I've never really looked at people like that before. I mean, not real hard; I've always noticed people's looks" Yor breathed, if worried that maybe this just sounds like she's babbling (however little). "But I don't think they've ever affected me."

He tilted his head. "Because you weren't looking for love?" he asked, curious.

She slightly shrugged, if feeling more assured. "Back then, I was happy just getting by in life" Yor continued, "But um, that aside, I think that as looks go... you're pretty easy on the eyes, I think they say."

A slight reaction, but he smiled. "Sounds correct" Loid breathed, gentle. "But if I wasn't a good person, I suspect that wouldn't matter to you."

Yor held her hands, nodding repeatedly. "Yes, exactly! Just like you said to me before" she breathed, earnest. "But you're not at all like that, Loid."

Loid breathed out once, almost as a chuckle. "I already knew that" he said, pretty mild- in fact, that tone made her tempted to giggle once. "But that joke aside, I do appreciate you saying so, Yor. Though at the same time, a general statement about my looks is a start, yet you can be more specific than that."

"Right. Of course... hmm..."

Her heart-rate was back up, just from thinking about this; thankfully, Loid is always so patient.

"Well" Yor breathed, shifting. "Loid, your... your eyes. Mmm, they always look so powerful when you're focused or intent, yet when you're happy, it's as if they change completely. Almost like a cat retracting their claws and looking real cute, until they need to get dangerous."

Loid blinked once, raising an eyebrow.

"An interesting comparison, Yor" he mused, if light and keeping his little smile - Yor was about to worry about her choice of words, until she realized this. "Though I think the same could be said about you."

"Oh, thank you..." Yor answered, a bit nervous, if sincere. "And, in case it's not clear Loid, I really do mean that in admiration! Um, but now that I've said it, I just realized that 'tiger' would've been more appropriate..."

"I don't disagree, but I still appreciate the compliment. Now, try again."

"Okay."

...

Somewhat later

Even though this was just a change-in-position, it did feel different...

Yor lay on top of Loid, where right now he was just holding her close (and she's reflexively doing the same)- she shifted on occasion, still nervous, but at least she'd settled in more than when they began. Meanwhile, Loid had one hand just gently holding her, even caressing her back with simple motions, while the other was currently brushing against the bottom edges of her long hair.

After a time:

"...Loid?"

His motions paused slightly. "Yeah?"

Yor glanced at him; her cheeks were really warm, but she tried not to swallow in nervousness. "D- Do you like how my hair feels? You've been doing that a lot tonight."

Loid spent a moment surprised, blinking once, then gave a small smile. "Oh. Well yes, I've found that I do" he whispered, continuing his finger motions while saying so - hearing that sent a sensation down her spine. "I've occasionally noticed how soft it looked, and ever since we've gotten closer... I wondered if it felt as soft. And now, I'd say that I've been pleasantly surprised."

Oh wow- Yor had difficulty looking at him for a little, both wondering and embarrassed, yet also happy.

Though at the same time, one hand slowly, instinctively moved up...

"T-Thank you."

Loid moved a bit, surprised but curious when her hand moved up past his cheek- he made the slightest sound when she touched his hair in return. However, as the seconds passed by, he didn't stop what he's doing or protest - after realizing this, Yor was relieved that he's allowing her to.

"Yor."

Hmm? Yor glanced at Loid, before finding him leaning toward her- she jolted when he realized how close their lips were, but he stopped just before they would've met. When he stayed there, very close to her with a small smile - and still moving his fingers on her back/along her hair - Yor let out a breath in realization, even as her cheeks grew a little hot.

Yet despite that, she slowly leaned forward... and when their lips met, her instincts helped her continue.

As they kissed, Yor let her hand move through Loid's hair, but she slowly moved the other one down toward his chest, though even that much made her heart beat faster. Still, she reminded herself that this kind of touch was 'both' for Loid - small at first, yet would only become intimate if it went on long enough, or if she did it in a way that he liked.

But um, s-she didn't know that yet, so she should be fine if only done for a little, right? She hoped so!

After a minute passed, Yor started to really 'get' into the sensations without realizing. Even so, she felt that thanks to Loid, she's starting to get used to kissing like this... well, maybe not the sudden ones (yet), but even so, the way it all felt so good, warm, and even juicy...

Subconsciously, she started to focus on that.

Before long, though she didn't notice at all, her mouth opened a bit more in their kiss- Loid paused briefly before he did the same. The sensations took on a slightly different cast, and this intrigued her a bit, but mostly she just kept going.

Kissing him back with equal pressure, lightly returning the favor whenever he might brush her lips a certain way...

Then at one moment, her tongue - already pretty close to her open mouth - moved a bit instinctively and, partly by accident, brushed against Loid's upper lip. Beneath her, Loid jolted and stopped moving against her, at least for a little... but as far as she noticed, it's like nothing happened at all...

...

Even though he's gone much farther than this for his missions, when Loid felt Yor's tongue brush his lips- well, he hadn't been prepared. Thankfully it was only a second later that he got a hold of himself and returned the kiss, but the way his heart-rate/body had spiked/jerked, respectively, were telling.

If he needed any more evidence that he's been falling for Yor/this family, of a sort he'd have difficulty denying, this would've been definitive.

Despite that knowledge, he hesitated; his mind told him that whether she's aware of her current actions or not (most likely the latter), if Yor's willing to go further with their kisses, he should reciprocate. Yet despite that, Loid knew full well that while he's accustomed to the physical sensations of the act, the differences he's experienced from his emotional, personal intimacy with Yor were... well, not only good, but made him feel some nervous excitement/anticipation.

Something he doesn't believe he's experienced much, if at all during such situations, so he's not sure how to process the feeling (yet).

While he wrestled with all that, Yor's tongue continued to brush against his lips and tongue, until somewhere along the line that gradually became all that she did, not counting her hands moving against his chest. Yet the way she did so was distinctly different from earlier, which all-but-confirmed that she's operating on instinct, partly (or fully) unaware of what she's doing...

And when she did realize, he anticipated her reaction would be quite shocked, and they'd inevitably be done for the night.

Several, more than likely.

...But since that's yet to happen, no harm in letting this continue until the end.

It's not like he disliked this at all; quite the contrary. It's a different experience than the usual.

Making a conscious effort to no longer think so much, Loid started returning Yor's force with a bit more of his own - he moved his hands as well, going from in her hair to over her sides; rather than pause like normal, Yor just accepted the touch and kept things up. In fact, she seemed to instinctively pull him closer in response, enough that their torsos met - though he didn't react outwardly as the sensations registered, inwardly was a slightly different story.

Because, though he knew now isn't the time and that it didn't mean anything, he was... a bit curious.

He may have experience, but that was in his spy mindset and with women he didn't care for. How would he react this time around?

Consciously not answering that, but acutely aware of the implications, Loid focused on breathing through his nose during the kiss. However, it seems Yor had a bit more trouble in that area; after a few seconds, she pulled away slightly to catch her breath...

He was about to open his eyes, until a particular sensation got his attention (to the exclusion of all else): there was a shared strand of saliva between their mouths.

It gradually 'stretched' as Yor moved away, and finally separated when this got to be too much... but neither of them really noticed.

Only able to blink, semi-staring at Yor, he didn't realize that his mouth stayed open a little-

-nor how, as she caught her breath, Yor started to regain awareness.

"Ahh" she breathed, a hand unconsciously brushing at her lip- the liquid touch startled her, leaving her to stare at her fingers. Then her eyes strayed toward him, and how he similarly had some spittle 'hanging' from his mouth... several seconds passed before the realization seemed to click.

"!?"

Loid jolted while Yor yelped, her eyes going wide/cheeks going red even as she stood up/away from the bed, briefly shaking as her hands were held near her mouth. He only had an unconscious realization of this reaction; otherwise he was left looking at her, feeling a lot... but at that moment, brought up of its own accord:

"...Wow."

Yor hitched where she stood.

The silence between them was still as 'loud' as ever, but hints of surprise and wonder could be seen in Yor's gaze as the seconds passed, even as she remained red and shocked. Slowly, Loid saw her eyes glance all over, as if she were realizing/thinking about something... but whatever it was, he couldn't be sure, and so he said/did nothing to dissuade the moment.

Even so, he was glad to hear her heavy breathing slow down.

After a few moments, Yor tentatively took a step away toward the door... and soon left through it.

Loid had just begun to muse that that's it for tonight, until Yor's footsteps went in the opposite direction of their bedrooms; in the space of nanoseconds, his brow furrowed and he wondered where she's going. Then the implications hit him: she's going into the kitchen - the instant he realized this, he was up and moving there himself!

He was still too slow; by the time he got to Yor, she was already downing half a bottle.

Oh no.

"Ah, Yor-" he started to say, yet before he could finish, Yor turned around. Her eyes were hidden by her hair, and she hiccupped once before swaying... unconsciously, he prepared for any sudden moves she might make.

But though she did move toward him, it was with slow steps, which caught him slightly off-guard.

Her hands seemed to be going for his shoulders, yet briefly 'missed' and touched his chest first, before going up there anyway- he noticed her grip was tight, and her breathing heavy as she stepped close, but not too close. Nevertheless, he was fixated by the intensity in her gaze: so much fought for expression that it was difficult to pick out any one emotion, not helped by the redness.

Unconsciously, if reminded him of that expression Yor had given, after Yuri had demanded that they kiss... just the thought sent a brief tingle through his fingers. He was also reminded of that time when, after he gave Yor her first kiss, Yor had drunkenly tried to do it again - but is that still the right move or should he let this go on for a little first?

"*pant*... *pant*..."

Without being aware of it, his hands slowly moved onto her arms - it was as much to make himself ready for sudden moves, as it was to try and help keep Yor steady on her feet.

Yet beyond that, Loid stayed very still... even his heart-rate was accelerated, somewhat.

"...Yor?"

She let out a breath, her brow furrowing... then next thing he knew, she 'lunged' forward and kissed him deeply.

Loid made a sound, startled by the sudden sensations, yet otherwise he did his best to return them (if not quite as hard). As he did so, Yor's grip loosened before her hands moved elsewhere: up-and-around his back, pulling him in closer and ensuring there was little space between their bodies, including their chests.

Which was slightly distracting, but he managed.

For a full minute - though it felt longer - they stayed like that, and it was with drunken swiftness that Yor slipped her tongue into his mouth again. Inwardly, he thought that despite the embarrassment, Yor must've liked that, which is why she'd defaulted to alcohol just so she could continue... though she's not likely to remember anything that happens afterward.

Then at some point, Yor pulled back for air:

"Didja mean what ya said, Roid?" Yor breathed, quiet yet intense. "About thunking that we luv each other?"

He jolted.

"And do ya like me kissing? You got sa much expirance, an I don't..."

That last part made his brain click, and he instantly pushed aside the surprise.

"Yes I do" Loid said, intent- Yor jolted, looking at him with heavy breathes. "I like the way you kiss me, Yor, because it's not about the experience. And I do believe we love each other, or else we wouldn't have felt comfortable going this far."

She swayed in place a bit, her hands moving again - though his gaze didn't waver, it didn't escape him that her hands moved onto his chest now.

"Comferble" she whispered, as if it were a simple realization.

The corner of his lip quirked, but he simply nodded.

Even if he's using his spy expertise to say that, it had to be true on some level. There's no simply other explanation for why he'd feel so attached to this family, or pursue such acts as this when there was no need to pretend.

Yet by now, he's come to see that it did matter to him, and especially the mission.

For a little, Yor just continued to look at him, blinking rather blearily- taking the initiative this time, Loid simply leaned forward and kissed her. Yor made a sound of almost-surprise, yet went along with it, holding onto him and returning the favor... and they stayed like that for a little, at least before the alcohol made her tired and start nodding off.

He helped her get to bed at that point, of course, yet his little smile was rather fond.

Even if she didn't remember any of this post-drunk behavior tomorrow, he would...

Been some time; longer than I would've liked honestly, but sometimes things like that happen. The follow-up M rating fic is still being developed, with this chapter/the following ones being a result of that work - but along that way, I realized that the beginnings of mature content happened later than I'd first realized, and that this stuff was still easily a T rating.

Which meant I could continue this fic a bit more, and give everyone an update :P
