That is something I invented during my history lesson. I'm not native speaker, I'm from Poland so I'm sorry for the mistakes. I watched Matrix at school last month and I fell in love with Neo and Trinity love story. It's clear and beautiful, no toxic. And say what you want but Trinity is iconic. I'm quite similar so she's exactly my favourite character in the movies.

Neo didn't like eye contact. He has never looked into other's people eyes when he was talking. Everything changed when he had met Trinity. She always looked into his eyes when they were having a converstaion. Her sight was terrifying. If sight could kill, she would kill so many people. He was afraid of her eyes. But he also loved them. Those big, bright eyes. It reminded him of the ocean. It looked like a sky. It was so cold but warm for him. It showed every emotion that Trinity wanted to hide. But when he had saw tears into her pretty eyes, his heart broke. Trinity always supported him. He was the one who needed help. Not her. He didn't know what to do when situation had changed. But he knew he had to. Because real love includes support and help.

„Trinity, what happened?" he asked silently.

She didn't notice him. When she did, she quickly wiped her cheeks.

„Neo, what are you doing here? You should sleep" she said.

„ I couldn't" he explained. „Come on, Trin. I know you were crying. Please, tell me what happened"

She didn't asnwer. She took a deep breath to relax and she put on a neutral expression.

„I said I'm fine. You should come back to bed. I will walk you bedroom"

„Trin, please. I hate the way you cut me off" he walked to her and put his arms around her but she broke free from the hug.

„I'm working" she said sharply.

„You've been working for hours. Come on. Trin. You need to rest"

„Neo, I said I'm working!" she screamed. „Maybe you didn't notice but I'm the only person who can watch the matrix. And check Morpheus and Tank. There's only us, Neo. The rest are dead. And it's my fault!"

After these words, she burst into tears. She couldn't control it. She didn't argue when Neo tried to hug her again. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her to his chest. Listening to her cry hurted. His strong independent woman was breaking down and the only thingand he could do was gently stroke her hair.

„It wasn't your fault, Trin. You couldn't have predicted this" he said calmly.

„Yes, it was. I knew there's something wrong with Cypher. He was always weird. He said things but I ingored that. I should do something. If I did, they could live"

„You're still a human, Trin. You did enough. You always do more than enough for other people. You loved them, I know. I know, it hurts. But it wasn't your fault, right? It wasn't"

„I've never cared about death. I lost a lot of people from the crew but when I think it could have been prevented…"

Trinity's voice cracked. Neo hugged her tighter.

„I'm sorry. You shouldn't see me like this" she said after a moment.

„Trin, you don't have to apologize. I'm always here for you. You don't have to act strong with me. I know you are. And I know you don't need my protection but I will always help you if you need"

„I love you" she just said.

„I love you too" Neo kissed her forehead. „Come on, I'll take you to bed"

„But Morpheus…"

„I will take care of him. You need rest."

For once, Trinity didn't deny that she was tired. She went to bed with Neo and fell asleep in his warm arms. When this happened, the man took over all her responsibilities. He was back in bed before she woke up.
