Someone re inspired this, making me realize that my greatest failure for this series is always overly following the plot. No exploration of the world... I will be fixing that. I also realized I need to think more unique, outside of the box.

Lily Dale is real, I lived by it at one point.

I stopped the Minotaur one for good reason.

Willow Rosenburg is my main inspiration. Buffy the series is too episodic so the ideas transfer well here.

The Summer Solstice before the Lightning Thief-

Cade- Age 11

Cain had always wanted to be important, but never saw a means. Homeless and alone, he spent most of his time meandering around New York State. Currently, he was in his dream place. Lily Dale, home of Witches and Psychics. He had been obsessed with the craft for years, so really this was the most natural place for him to find. He found breaking into shop easy, picking the lock with the greatest of ease.

Digging into the books, he foolishly started to chant, or rather tried to read the Latin incantations aloud. "Incendia." A fire burst into life by him, or rather on the tips of six candles that filled the shop he was in. Stunned, he looked back at the book. "How?"

And just like that, he stole six books, all that had the same style of writing as the first. All Latin and all humming with a power that he sort of felt now. He would spend countless hours digging into the books, spells and potions and rituals. All sorts of things he learned, over and over again, until his brain ached. Soon he started casting the spells.

Surge, the spell of levitation. Abi, the spell of repulsion. Incendia, the spell of fire.

Over and over again, gaining familiarity with the magic he was casting. He learned runes, which he covered his clothes in, to ward of cold and resist damage. Eventually, the flow of magic around and within him became a familiar thing, and he learned to move things with that power. Spells always helped, but he could not rely on that. He knew that, so he started to practice hand to hand, just the basics at first but later he would use a spell "Mover cor" to mess with the minds of others to get them to let him into Kickboxing classes for free.

This came in perfect time, as soon he started to sense others. Vibrations that messed with his mind and he knew others were not human, he even saw what he swore was a cyclops, and a hellhound in alleyways when he reached NYC. This scared him, He needed more power. Sensing how powerful they were made him realize how weak he was, so he swore to find the power to save himself.

It was about six months after he mastered the magics he had taken when he decided to changes things. In a barrel filled with fire, he cast a potent spell, one mixed with prayer and magic.

"Gods below and above, to you I beseech... find me power, protection and a path to greatness." Offering a selection of meats, and his own blood, the fire burst with reddish energy that surged around him, whispering secrets of power and purpose.

"Yancy Academy..."

The fire whispered once, more of a scream really, before fading away into nothing. A magnetic pull on his chest filled him and he knew his new path... whatever it was at this Yancy Academy, was to be his future...

He just hoped it was right.
