Hello everyone I'm kinda sorry it took me so long to post the rerun but none the less I still hope you all enjoy the story as it means a lot to me.
Disclamer: I don't own fairy tail
Lucy's POV
It was a bright and early morning; the sun was shining, and the weather was beautiful. Natsu was in my bed, and I could hear people laughing all the way from my room. My eyes slowly opened, and I groaned as I realized what I had just found out.
Looking down, I reached out my hand to touch a head of pink hair. The owner of said hair was currently gripping my waist as if it were a stuffed toy and snoring so loudly that it sounded like a motor.
"Wake up Natsu" I said in a calm and sweet voice as I gently shook my partner to try and get him awake with a soft smile on my face. My smile soon turned into a frown as he didn't wake up even when I shook him harder. I could feel a vein popping up on my forehead as I got up out of bed.
I said once again, this time with sarcasm leaking through my voice like honey. "Natsu," I said, emphasizing each syllable. "What the hell did I tell you about sleeping in my bed?" Natsu woke up instantly, as if he knew what was coming next. Before he could even get a word out, I kicked him out of my bed. At this point, I wasn't sure how he hadn't gotten a concussion.
"Geez Luce," he said, rubbing the back of his head as he sat on the floor where I had kicked him to. As I looked at him, my eyes tried to take in every detail I could of him. His nice slim figure, his onyx eyes, and his shirtless chest. "Wait, what?"
I looked up quickly, rubbing my eyes, thinking I was imagining things. My face turned a deep red; even Erza would be proud of the color it produced. Realization washed over me. He had been in my bed without his shirt on...I could feel my eyes narrowing to glare at Natsu who was sweating like he just got caught stealing from Erza.
Before I could even lecture Natsu, he jumped up and proceeded to dive out the window as if death was a better option than what I was about to do to him. Running to the window, I stuck my head out waving my fist in the air, promising pain as I watched him run off. "Don't run away from me, Natsu! I will find you. I know where you fucking live!"
Natsu turned to look back at me as he waved goodbye, like he hadn't sneaked into my bed and had just been hanging out with me instead. "See you at the guild, Luce!"
I sighed in defeat; I knew I couldn't stay mad at him long. He was my best friend, and even if he was annoying, I would always have feelings for him. Walking away from the window, I picked up my new soap I had gotten the other day to go take a nice shower before heading to the guild. After I had gotten ready, it was around 10:30 a.m., which was perfect timing for me to meet up with the most chaotic people I know.
I wore a nice short-sleeved shirt that was white and blue, and I was wearing a white skirt with a brown belt to hold my whip and key pouch. My hair was up in a small side ponytail, and the rest of it went down to my knees. As I walked along the canal, I took in the sights around me; this place pretty much felt like home. Ever since the Grand Magic Games had ended, things had been peaceful.
As I walked into the guild, I was greeted by "hellos" and "good mornings." It was all pretty normal. I looked around to see everyone doing what they would normally do. Levy was reading her book with Jet and Droy annoying the hell out of her, while Gajeel just watched, looking like he was plotting the best way to murder them. Juvia was obsessing over Gray, who had lost most of his clothes, from behind a pillar. Elfman was screaming about being a man, while Lisanna talked with Evergreen about something. Cana was drinking at the counter with Mira serving her. Wendy and Romeo were talking about magic at a table, sitting next to Erza, who was eating a slice of cheesecake.
I made sure to send a silent prayer to the idiot who would get to see the brink of death when they disturbed her this time. I figured the idiot would probably be Natsu.
I walked up to the bar and took a seat, giving a small wave to Cana as I did so. Cana, as usual, was drowning herself in beer to the point where I couldn't tell if she was dead or just taking a short five-second nap so that she could do it all again another 386 times a day. I looked over at Mira, who was wearing her normal pink dress with her white hair flowing down. The satan soul mage was currently cleaning a mug that was probably used by Cana; there were about 13 dirty beer mugs in front of her.
"Good morning, Mira." I said, watching as she returned the greeting and proceeded to get me my regular chocolate milkshake with extra whipped cream and a cherry on top. As soon as Mira put the drink in front of me, she looked me dead in the eyes, and that's when I just knew I was in for trouble.
"So Lucy, I heard from a little birdie today that you and Natsu were together last night, am I right?" she asked in a honey-coated voice. If I didn't know Mira, I would have definitely fallen for it. Underneath all that honey in her voice is a beehive just waiting for someone to make a move, and trust me, I didn't want to make a move for the honey, even if it was sweet.
"Oh yeah, he didn't feel like walking home so I let him crash at my place." Mira's eyes lit up in excitement as she grinned at what she heard. "On the couch," I said, instantly turning her eyes into disappointment as she handed Cana a bag filled with jewel. I knew I had lied about Natsu sleeping on the couch and me letting him in, but what could I do? One word to Mira about it and she would try even harder to get us together. One time she even got Lisanna involved to try and persuade us. It didn't work.
"Where did you even hear that from, Mira?" I already had an idea, but I had to just make sure before I pulled his whiskers. Sweat dripped from Mira's forehead as she thought of a reply; just as she looked like she came up with a good lie, Cana ratted her out.
Cana laughed. "She got it from Happy!" She looked like she was watching some kind of funny game show instead of sitting in the guild drinking. If looks could kill, then Cana would be dying on the floor with the glare Mira was giving her.
"Lucy!" I heard from behind me I looked around to see it was the same blue cat that we were just talking about. I got ready to pull out his whiskers but he must of saw the look in my face and pulled out a job flyer instead. I raised my eyebrow in question.
"You need to pay your rent soon, Lucy!" Happy said slowly as he came closer, holding the flyer. "We thought Team Natsu would be perfect for this job!" The anger I had felt instantly went away faster than I thought it would. I had completely forgotten about my rent. I gave Happy a small pat on the head before looking at the request.

It's perfect." I said. We could quickly slay the monster and divide it among the five of us since Happy and Carla lived with their dragon slayers. "Did you already tell the team?"
Happy nodded then flew and landed on my lap. I sighed then started petting his head as he munched on a fish Mira had gotten for him.
"Yup we just gotta wait for Natsu to get here than we can get going"
Realization flooded to my body faster than I thought it would in this kinda scenario. I didn't even notice that Natsu hadn't got to the guild yet.
Mira snapped her fingers with a look of confirmation on her face as she looked up at the roof as if spacing out. "That's why we haven't had any fights today."
I chuckled a little before giving Mira a small wave and walking away with Happy in my arms towards where the rest of Team Natsu was sitting. Currently, Wendy was talking with Carla, while Erza finished off the rest of her cheesecake, and Gray, of course, had lost all of his clothes except for his underwear.
Once I had finally gotten to the table and sat down, Natsu walked in and walked over to us, just as energetic as ever.
"How the hell are you always so energetic?" Gray scoffed in disgust, looking as if he was actually a bit curious, while also looking annoyed at Natsu's presence. Natsu simply just shrugged at him, not looking the least bit annoyed by his comment.
"It's just normal, I guess." Natsu started looking into the distance as if he were reminiscing over memories he had long forgotten. "Igneel used to wake me up early for training and working with the other dragons, so waking up at a time like this is just like a miracle, I guess."
The guild went silent, looking at Natsu like he was crazy. I couldn't tell what exactly was going through everyone's head, but I knew it was just a mountain of questions, and if some of them were answered, there was probably a bigger one waiting on the way.
Before they could start their little investigation on what Natsu was talking about, I jumped up and grabbed Natsu by the back of his shirt and pretty much dragged him out of the room along with the rest of our team who jumped up with me getting the hint instantly. I made sure to give them all a small wave as we left out of the guild's door. "Bye everyone! We'll be back soon!"
As soon as we walked out of the doors, we dashed toward the train station to get to the town we were headed to.
"What did you mean anyways back at the guild, Natsu-san?" Wendy asked, playing with her fingers likely out of embarrassment.
Natsu looked at us like we were the crazy ones before pointing over to Gray with one finger raised.
"Oi ice prick your clothes!"
Gray looked down at himself before jumping up in shock and looking through his bag to find the extra clothes he had packed just in case. I didn't see the point since he'll probably lose them just as fast anyway, but whatever.
And back at the guild, I was just telling everyone how Igneel would wake me up early for training. That's all.
"We mean the work with other dragons you were talking about," Erza said, not looking the least bit amused by what was happening.
"Oh that's just errands and Dragon King stuff he had to work on," Natsu said. Wendy's eyes widened in shock before she slowly turned her head to look at Natsu like he really was crazy. Which he is.
A Dragon King?! Like a Dragon King?!" Wendy screamed in excitement, causing all of us to cover our ears, especially Natsu due to his enhanced hearing.
"What's so special about a Dragon King anyway?" Gray asked, looking like he was genuinely confused, just like the rest of us except for Wendy and Natsu.
"A dragon king is the leader of a dragon race. These races are divided into multiple empires or kingdoms, depending on where they belong. There are three main types of dragons, but we will focus on the elemental ones. We classify the elementals into the six main categories, which are Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, Light, and Darkness. These are the rarest, as they are the foundation for the others."
Wendy continued her rant about how the dragons were divided based on their elements and the closer they were to the main six, the closer they were to the Empires. She continued for the entire four-hour train ride, during which Natsu got motion sickness while the rest of us just watched on in amazement at how much she could say in a single breath.
Soon enough, we had finally arrived in the small town and quickly hurried toward the mayor's office, as it was quickly getting dark.
We were currently standing in front of the Mayor's building and were being greeted by two of the Mayors assistants. Both of them had light green hair and black eyes, and they were also pretty skinny and stood tall at around 5.7 or 5.8; either way, it barely mattered as they seemed to look at us without really looking at anything.
Natsu leaned down and whispered in my ear. "This place is giving me a bad feeling; we might not want to go in there."
I nodded as I was just about to follow his advice by asking if there was a place for us to stay first, but both of the assistants got behind us and practically pushed us inside all the way up the stairs into a small room with filing cabinets, a desk, three chairs - one for the mayor, and the other two probably for guests. The room was filled with paperwork; it was even on the floor.
The weirdest thing was that in the chair behind the desk, a man was sitting, facing away from us, looking out the window behind him. We couldn't see much from where we were standing, but we could make out his blond hair and chubby body and arms.
"Master, we have arrived with the mages from Fairy Tail," said one of the assistants before glancing at the other and then both walking out as if they had never been there.
"Oh yes, welcome, welcome!" The blonde man said turning his chair around. Now that I could see his face, the feeling that had been telling me I needed to get out was back even stronger than before. Just as I was about to start backing out of the room, Natsu put his hand on my shoulder in a silent signal that said "we'll protect you."
Hello sir," Erza said, pointing at each of us in turn. "That's Lucy, Happy, Carla, Wendy, and Gray. As you probably know, we're here to help you with that monster problem."
The man nodded his head with a smile, telling us his name was Mr. Kushi. He ended up giving us a map of where the monsters were and the small town we were in. We thanked the man before going off to find a hotel to stay in. We split into two rooms - one for girls and the other for boys. After that, the day was done; we ate dinner, had a small pillow fight, and went to bed.
Everything seemed okay, but I still couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was about to happen.
