Chapter two rumor and gossip
The news that it was Gambit who broke into the mansion just to bring rogue gifts spread faster than wildfire in a dry wheat field in summer. rumors were being thrown out faster than Quicksilver on a sugar rush. As Rogue walked past a group of students she heard the conversation they were having.
"I heard that he was Magonetos lackey that kidnapped Rogue." a blonde student whispered "My omg do you think she got stock homes syndrome ." another one whispered back "But why would he buy her such expensive gifts and go through the trouble of breaking in to give them to rogue of all people I mean she can't touch people and if u ask me she not worth the risk of powers i don't even know why she still her after all that happened with apocalypse. it was all her fault that the humans hates us and she almost killed all of us ." hissed another student in the group "I mean I won't go that far but it is weird that he choose rogue do you think he like a crazy stalker and is obsessed with her ." said jubilee to the group not realizing that rogue was walking up to them extremely pissed off.
" one I aint got fucking stock home syndrome two what happened with apocalypse was not my fault I was being mind controlled to do all of those things. " scream rogue at the group of younger students "I don't know what the hell yells problem with me but if you haven't heard I was the one who put apocalypse back and saved the fucking world . I have to know clue why that swamp rat is doing this but yall saying that I'm not worth these gifts or the trouble/chance of someone's attention because of my power and how I'm not worth the risk then fuck you. not all us are blessed with power like Jean telepath abilities or kitty walking tru walls or you changing the color of things to anything you want ." rogue screamed so loud at the group of student that all look highly ashamed for what their friend had said about the southern munatin but jane was not done with her jealousy rant .
" it not my fault you a threat to us i mean if im being honest you should have stayed with the brotherhood because from what i hear the xmen only wanted you because they would rather have the more Dangerous monster on their side than the brotherhood having you ." yelled the blonde " f off jane rogue aint done shit to your pamperd ass you had no right to giver her crap anout her power just because your jealous of her for being a badass sure rogue does not got control but she work hard everyday and she not a threat or a monster she a mutant with an extreme powerful gift so quit your dame whining and do us all a favor and shut up ." said tabitha to jane before rogue had a chance to respond to the girl . now the group in shock of how far jane took thing and how tabitha shut her down that quickly . " they wont be pleased when they hear about this " mutter tabitha pulling rogue out of the manor and towards the river near by . Tabitha knew the guild would not be happy about this at all. she should have done more and tried to get closer to Rogue over the years. she felt bad about not telling her future queen the truth that while her uncle was a member of the guild her father never made the cut and that Tabitha had been made her uncle's apprentice last year.
