A/N: First of all a big thanks to Wheatwabbit for reviewing. I decided to turn this into a collection of the three stories I wrote for this couple. Each chapter is it's own story with a separate summary. I hope you like it :)

Summary: A jealous Cathy gives Yuma and Kotori the final push to admitting their feelings for each other.

"And that's how you summon a Xyz monster." Yuma explained.

He and his best friend Kotori were sitting on their knees in front of each other with their duel decks laying between them. They were currently at Yuma's house going over their cards. Kotori had asked him if he could teach her a few new duel strategies after school and Yuma had been more than happy to agree. Not only did he love dueling, but spending alone time with Kotori was even better. He had to admit to himself that his feelings for her had changed. The duelist had always had a soft spot for her, but since the Duel Carnival had started he had realized just how much he really liked her.

The voice of the very same person he had been thinking about pulled him out of his thoughts.

"Thanks for the advice, Yuma." Kotori smiled gratefully at him.

Her smile did things to his stomach and heart a duel never could. The pleasant feeling of thousands of butterflies filled his stomach and his heart speed up. He couldn't help but smile happily back at her.

Their moment was broken when suddenly his D-Gazer rang.

"Hey Cathy." He answered the call.

"Hey Yuma, how are you doing?"

"Pretty good. Kotori and I are going over some duel strategies right now."

Cathy could hear Kotori say a quick hello in the background. Normally the cat lover would be jealous but in the end keep quiet about it. This time however it was different. She had worked up her courage to call Yuma and finally ask him out on a date, but there was Kotori again in her way.

"You know what, Yuma? I give up on you. All you ever talk about is Kotori and you're always spending your free time with her. If you like her so much why not tell her already? I'm sure she is waiting for that." Cathy shouted angrily and hung up.

For a moment Yuma could only stare at his D-Gazer in shock, before a deep blush appeared on his cheeks. He stole a glance at Kotori, who was looking down on her lap, Cathy had been so loud that she must have hear her too. Even if she was not facing him, he could still make out the blush on her cheeks. The duelist averted his own eyes.

'I would never have thought that Cathy would be so openly honest.' Astral mused, appearing next to Yuma.'

'What do you mean honest?' Yuma asked through telepathy.

'Well what she said is true.'

The blush on the young Tsukumo's face intensified.

'You know, the situation you and Kotori are in reminds me of something I saw on what you call TV.' Astral continued.

'And how did it end?'

'Well the man kissed the woman. I would highly suggest you do that too, seeing that the situations are similar.'

'W-What? No. Your advice isn't helpful.'

'Of course, my advice was never helpful in the past, was it?' Astral rolled his eyes and disappeared back into the key around Yuma's neck.

The young duelist sighed deeply. He knew that Astral's advice were always good when it came to dueling, but when it came to love matters he wasn't so sure. If he was honest to himself, he had wanted to kiss Kotori for a while now, but would she want that? What if she didn't feel the same way and reject him? Thoughts ran so quickly through his head that he almost missed Kotori speaking up.

"I-I think it's time for me to go home." She stuttered out and began collecting her cards off of the floor.

Without thinking about it Yuma stopped her by moving one of his hands to cover hers. Staring down at their hands he wondered what he had done. All he knew was that he had wanted to stop her from leaving, but now they were practically holding hands. He couldn't help but notice how small and soft her hands were. Sure, he had taken her hand often when they had to hurry to school or flee from danger, but now was the first time he really felt it.

Slowly he moved his eyes from their joined hands up to look at Kotori. What he saw made his breath caught in his throat. Kotori's eyes were dilated and her lips were slightly parted. A light blush was covering her cheeks and she held the hand, which wasn't covered by his, shyly to her chest. Yuma had always thought that she was pretty, but in this moment she was even more beautiful than all the other times he had found himself looking at her with wonder.

Maybe he should take Astral's advice and go for it. Maybe there was a chance that she felt the same way, even if he thought that it was small.

Taking a deep breath he moved closer to her so their knees were touching. Looking deep into her eyes, he reached for her cheek and cupped it softly. Slowly he leaned closer, but stopped just shy of her lips, leaving her a choice to pull away. He would never kiss her if she didn't want him to, so he left her a way out. When he saw that she closed her eyes and leaned slightly forward, he knew that she returned his feelings.

When he closed the gap between their lips his eyes fluttered close. This was his first kiss so he didn't know what to expect, however the moment their lips met it felt like heaven for him. He felt Kotori melt into the kiss and her hands came up to his head to tangle in his hair. Wanting to be closer to her Yuma moved the hand, that wasn't cupping her cheek, around her waist. A few minutes later they pulled away and looked deep into each others eyes. That kiss said more than any words could say.

'Observation Number 22: A jealous female can bring two stubborn people to admit their feelings for each other. What a strange world.'
