Disclaimer: I do not own The Loud House or Pokemon.
Hours went by, and before Lincoln knew what was happening he was already asleep. It was to be expected as an 11-year-old can only stay entertained on a plane for so long before he falls asleep in order to pass the time. Soon he woke up with what felt like the plague finally landing after what felt like forever.
"Huh?"was the first thing that came out of Lincoln's mouth as he opened his eyes, before he rubbed them in order to get better use of them.
"We're here, Mr Loud."said the pilot from the cockpit.
"Huh?"said Lincoln, who for the first five seconds was confused about everything before he remembered everything that transpired.
The letter from his grandfather's friend, Pokemon, his sister's making a fuss about him going with out them, his parents dropping him off at the airport, and getting on the plane that would take him to Hoenn.
"Wait... am I in Littleroot town?"inquired Lincoln, wondering if he was where the professor lived.
"Not quite. where actually an Oldale Town. Littleroot town is located just past route 101, which is south of here."said the pilot as he got out of his chair.
"Why?"inquired Lincoln as he was getting up, wanting to know why he wasn't in the town of his destination.
"Littleroot town is too small to land a plane safely. So we had to park in the private air strip of the Pokemon League here in Oldale Town."answer the pilot as he opened up the airlock.
"Huh? I guess that makes sense."said Lincoln, understanding where the pilot was coming from as he began to walk down the plane steps.
Luckily for Lincoln, the plane wasn't that big so you didn't take long for him to get down and look around. He took a deep breath and what course through his lungs was the freshest air he has ever breathed. Lincoln then began looking around and noticed why the air was so clean as there was trees everywhere.
"Wow. This is certainly an abundance of nature."said Lincoln, as he's never seen so many trees around in the same area.
"Hoenn pride itself for clean energy, no fossil fuels allowed anywhere on the island."explains the pilots, making Lincoln smile upon hearing that.
"We can learn a lot from Hoenn back home."said Lincoln, before he began stretching guys sitting down for what he assume was many hours really makes one's body feel stiff.
"Professor Birch contacted me not too long ago. He said he's somewhere on route 101, that's where you'll meet up with him. Just look for a man wearing a blue shirt and a lab coat, you shouldn't miss him."said the pilot, before he began walking away.
"Are you just leaving me behind?"inquired Lincoln, wondering why the pilot was suddenly leaving him.
"My job is done, kid. Besides, Hoenn is one of the safest places you can be, so I'm sure you'll be fine on your own. Me on the other hand, I need my coffee."said the pilot, before he walked away.
"Well that's a good thing I'm used to being left behind by adults."said Lincoln, recalling how his parents accidentally forgot him many times.
He quickly he turned his attention back to finding the professor. He was wondering where he was supposed to go before he saw a big sign that said route 101 not too far away from where he was.
"Well that was convenient."said Lincoln to himself, before he began making his way to route 101.
That's when he noticed the big sign that said do not go into the tall Grass unless you're a Pokemon trainer. He wondered what this meant but then he remembered that in the books he was reading on the plane, Pokemon in the tall Grass tend to jump out at unsuspecting humans to see if they are worthy of becoming their trainers, even when said humans are not Pokemon trainers. He remember it's something about how pokémon gets stronger by joining up with a Pokemon trainer, or something like that as his memory was still fuzzy, as he just woke up and he needed some time to properly wake up, before he could fully access the full processing power of his brain.
"Wow!"said Lincoln as he looked around while trying his best to avoid the tall grass.
Route 101 was absolutely beautiful. It was filled with so much nature that look like had been nicely taking care of by he assumes either people or Pokemon. It was clear to the young man that this route has been carefully taking care of so that way humans and pokémon could coexist without any society trying to overtake the other.
"Man, civilization could learn a lot from here in Hoenn! This balance of civilization in nature is a marvel of coexistence, and something that should be taken with utmost sincerity."said Lincoln, who knew that Lana would be jealous from what he was seeing right now.
He was sure that his little sister who loves animals would absolutely love to be Pokemon. While he does feel bad that he left his sisters behind, he knew it was for the best as he wanted to see if being a Pokemon trader was his thing, and the only way that would happen is without the meddling of his sisters!
'I'm sure Mom and Dad already suspect that I was hiding some details from them, but they know my sister's better than anyone so they decided to not ask any unnecessary questions. I wonder if they're going to be mad knowing that I'm going to be capturing and training creatures that can breathe fire and all that. But it's not like they could do anything at this point as I'm going to see this through until the end, no matter what!'Lincoln thought to himself as he continued making his way through route 101, all the while avoiding the tall Grass as he was sure that Pokemon were waiting for him to get close enough to attack him.
Part of him wanted to do just that as he's never seen a Pokemon in real life, but at the same time he did not want to risk it as he did not have a Pokemon to defend himself and he wasn't exactly good when it came to self defense as he had no combat skills outside of his brain, and video game skills, which he doubted would help him in this scenario.
So Lincoln just continued walking through route 101 with the intention of reaching Littleroot Town, where he would meet up with Professor Birch and get his starter Pokemon. He was sure that the pilot said that the professor was on the route, but why would he be waiting for him on a path instead of in his lab?
"Maybe the guy is into field work. I know Lisa isn't exactly into that as she does not like all that nature stuff, but I'm assuming a scientist who specializes with Pokemon feels differently."said Lincoln to himself, before he hurts someone screaming.
"Help me!"shouted what sounded like to be a man's voice.
This made Lincoln instinctually run to the source of the voice as it reminded him of his father. A few seconds later he arrived at the source of the voice where he saw a man in a lab coat running away from some kind of dog like creature which Lincoln assumes is a Pokemon. He wonder what was going on until he noticed that there appeared to be some berries that were stepped on.
It didn't take a genius to realize that this guy had accidentally stepped on that Pokemon's lunch, and now it was upset.
"Hey you!"shouted the man in the lab coat, getting Lincoln's attention.
"Me?"inquired Lincoln, pointing to himself.
"Yes, you! I need you to pull out a pokeball from that bag, and call out a Pokemon!"shouted the man in the lab coat, pointing to the satchel that was on the ground, near Lincoln's feet.
Lincoln quickly reached into the satchel and pulled out a ball that was read on top, white on the bottom, had a black line in the middle, and a white button in the center.
"Press that button and call out that Pokemon! HURRY!"shouted the man in the lab coat, causing Lincoln to do exactly what he said.
"I'm not good at catching or throwing but here goes!"said Lincoln as he tossed the pokeball after pressing the white button, causing the ball to open and release a wave of light on to the ground.
The lights and dissipated in a creature took form.
The Pokemon in question is a small, green, bipedal reptilian Pokémon. It has yellow eyes with long, narrow pupils. The Pokemon's hands and feet each have three digits covered with tiny spikes. These spikes allow it to scale vertical walls with ease. Its stomach and throat are red. It also has a line across its stomach resembling a pouch. The Pokemon also has a large, dark green tail with two separate lobes.
"Treecko! Tree!"said the Pokemon in question.
"Cool!"shouted Lincoln, as the Pokemon in front of him had a cool demeanor that made him say that.
"A Treecko! Now order it to use pound or something!"shouted the man in the lab coat as he continued running away from the dog like Pokemon.
"Um...Treecko, use pound!"ordered Lincoln, and immediately though Pokemon known as Treecko responded to his command.
The Pokemon quickly jumped into the air and made its way towards the dog like Pokemon. Before said Pokemon new what was happening, Treecko struck it with the back end of his tail, causing damage and knocking the dog like Pokemon back!
This angered the dog like pokémon as it quickly began running with the intention of trying to bite Treecko or something.
"Tell treecko to use absorb!"instructed the man with the lab coat.
"Um...Use absorb!"ordered Lincoln, causing the Pokemon known as Treecko to release a green energy that quickly struck the dog like Pokemon.
Then what appeared to be the dog like Pokemon's energy was quickly drained out of it and given to Treecko, something the gecko like Pokemon appear to appreciate.
This made the dog like Pokemon run away as it figured that this was too much for it to handle and it could go find more berries for it to eat later, for now I needed to get away from these humans!
"Phew... you have no idea how much I need to thank you. That Poochyena has been chasing me for the last 10 minutes Non-Stop. I didn't know what I was going to do so you showed up."said the man in the lab coat.
"It was no problem, as it was mainly Treecko who did all the work."said Lincoln, giving credit where credit was due.
"Nonsense. Treecko wouldn't have been there to help if it wasn't for you."said the man in the lab coat, before he looked at Lincoln's white hair intently.
"What is it?"said Lincoln, wondering where the man was staring at his hair like that.
He was used to people staring at his white hair and mistaking him for an old man, but this is the first time someone stared at it with such intensity.
"Excuse me, but are you Lincoln Loud?"inquired the man in the lab coat.
"Yes I am."said Lincoln, wondering how this guy knew his name.
"I knew it!"said the man in the lab coat."I had a feeling you were Lincoln as soon as I noticed that white hair. Your grandfather Leonard told me to be on the lookout for a young man with natural white hair. I'm professor Birch, your grandfather's friend."
Lincoln smile at pond realizing that this man in front of him was professor Birch, is Gramps' his old friend.
"It's nice to meet you professor Birch! I'm sorry for arriving late, but the mail just barely delivered your package to my house the other day."said Lincoln, apologizing for arriving late when the mail was sent over a year ago.
"No problem. That's what happens when one of my assistants decides to ship with economy."said professor Birch, who expected Lincoln to come late especially with the type of shipping that was used to send his stuff.
"Well, here I am! I'm ready to become a Pokemon trainer and take on whatever Hoenn has to throw at me!"said Lincoln with confidence, as he didn't come all this way just for nothing.
"Well let's get you back to my lab and see what we can do from here."said professor Birch, before he and Lincoln began walking down route 101 together.
"Oh, I almost forgot."said Lincoln as he turned his attention back to the wood gecko Pokemon.
"Um... return"said Lincoln as he used the pokeball to return Treecko back to his pokeball.
"Tree."said the Pokemon in question as he returned back to his pokeball.
"Now let's get going back to my lab."said professor Birch, causing Lincoln to continue to follow him as he put the pokeball he was holding into his pocket.
About twenty minutes later, Lincoln and professor Birch arrived in a small little town that looked absolutely beautiful. It was filled with abundance of nature that Lincoln could only imagine took forever to properly grow and take care of. Like route 101, Littleroot Town what's the perfect balance of civilization iland nature.
"Let's get going to my lab which is just at the end of town."said professor Birch, pointing to the largest building in town.
"Wow."was all Lincoln had to say, as the Pokemon League certainly did not pull back it's expenses for its professors.
"Dad, there you are!"shouted a female voice.
This made Lincoln turn to see a beautiful girl running towards them.
She had short brown hair that was neatly combed, with her hair being longer in the front than in the back. She was wearing a red bandana tied around her head, a red tank top, white shorts, black leggings, running shoes, and a fanny pack that she wore in reverse.
Lincoln was mesmerized that she was really cute. He wondered who she was before she ran past him and hugged professor Birch.
"May, there you are."said the professor, identifying the girl as May.
"Dad, I was worried when I heard that a Poochyena was chasing you. I was running to route 101 to help you out, and that's when I saw you here with this guy."said May, before she turned their attention towards Lincoln.
"Are you the Pokemon trainer that helped out my dad?"said May, who was approaching Lincoln.
"Um...yes..."said Lincoln, before he was surprised when May gave him a hug.
"Thank you."said May as she was hugging Lincoln, making Lincoln blush as although May look like... her body was a bit more mature as he felt something soft pressed against his chest.
"May, can you let go of Lincoln already. He does not look comfortable."said professor Birch, causing his daughter to let go of Lincoln.
"Sorry, I got too excited. Hehe."said the girl with a cute blush on her face.
"It was no problem."said Lincoln, as he tried his best to keep his composure.
"How about the three of us head to my lab so I can explain everything to Lincoln."said the professor, causing both Lincoln and May to nod their heads before they followed him to the large building at the end of town.
It was there that the professor opened the door for Lincoln to see the most high-tech lab he's ever seen before. The laboratory was filled with state-of-the-art equipment that he was sure was extremely expensive. Lincoln was also sure in that moment that Lisa would be extremely jealous if she saw this lab, and that she would have begged professor Birch to lend him some of his equipment.
"The Pokemon League values my dad's research. So they always make sure to give him lots of funding every year."said May with a confident look on her face.
"Wow. I know I've been saying that all day, but wow."said Lincoln as he inspected the equipment, making sure not to touch that the same time, as it wasn't his stuff, and touching it would be rude.
"Lincoln, since you already have your Pokedex. How about you keep that Treecko you used to help me out."said the professor, making Lincoln small as he approached them.
"Can I really keep Treecko?"inquired Lincoln with a hopeful look on his face.
"Of course."said the professor with a smile.
"Thank you, professor Birch!"said Lincoln with a happy look on his face.
"How about giving your Treecko a nickname?"inquired the professor.
"Um, I don't think I'm going to do that, since I'm not good with nicknames."said Lincoln, as any nickname he's come up for people never sticks.
"Well, that's fine either way."said the professor, as it was Lincoln's choice at the end of the day.
"Well now that you are here. How about as a reward for saving me, I'll give you a starter Pokemon from another region."said the professor, surprising Lincoln.
"What do you mean, professor?"inquired Lincoln, wanting to know what the professor meant by that.
"My friend, professor Elm sent me a pack of three starter pokémon you can only find in the Johto region. I was wondering what to do with them when you pop by and save me. Now how about you choose one of these pokémon to be a friend with your Treecko."said the professor as he went over to a nearby table picked up three pokeballs.
"You get to choose which Pokemon goes with you. Take your time and make your choice."said the professor.
"Your... you're not going to show me the Pokemon?"inquired Lincoln, feeling like he should make his choice by seeing the Pokemon first.
"How about we play a game of let's see which Pokemon you pick. Since Treecko was chosen at random, when we do the same with this."said professor Birch, making Lincoln roll his eyes as he figured why not.
"Well, you're giving me an extra Pokemon for free so I figure why not."said Lincoln, who closed his eyes before he started playing a game of eenie meeny miny moe to decide which poké ball he would choose.
"Eenie meenie miney mo, catch a tiger by the toe. If it hollers let it go, eenie meenie miney... Mo!"shouted Lincoln as he grabbed the pokeball and tossed it into the air, releasing the Pokemon that was inside!
A few seconds later Lincoln heard a noise coming from the Pokemon that he picked at random.
"Totodile!"said the Pokemon's voice has Lincoln opened his eyes.
The Pokemon in question is a bipedal, crocodilian Pokémon with well-developed jaws. It has red eyes with ridges above them, black markings around its eyes, and several sharp teeth. On its chest is a yellow, V-shaped marking that extends to its arms; there is a thin line through the center of the marking. The Pokemon has five fingers and three toes. Down its back is a row of three red spines with a small, red ridge on either side. The tip of its tail has a single red spine as well.
"Cool!"said Lincoln as he couldn't believe he picked some kind of crocodile like Pokemon.
"Meet Totodile, the big jaw Pokemon. Congratulations I'm picking up water type pokémon as here in Hoenn, having a water type Pokemon is essential to getting around, especially if you want to get around quickly as a Pokemon trainer."said professor Birch, well Lincoln walked over towards the big jaw Pokemon.
"Welcome to the team, Totodile."said Lincoln, before the pokémon question began to playfully bite his head.
"Hahahahah, that tickles."said Lincoln as he pulled the big jaw Pokemon off of him.
"With you and Treecko by my side, I know the sky's the limit!"said Lincoln with a smile on his face.
"Wow, I can't believe you got two Pokemon at once Lincoln. Well you're going to need them if you want to defeat me and my Torchic!"said May with confidence.
"Well let me build up some skill first. There's no way I can beat someone like you right now, someone who's been doing this for a while now at my level."said Lincoln, making May blush.
"Wow, you think I'm good."said the girl, as that's the first time she's ever heard that.
"Well... you grew up around Pokemon your whole life well I just learned about them the other day. It's obvious who's going to win if we have a Pokemon battle."said Lincoln, who was an arrogant enough to believe that he could win his first Pokemon battle right away.
He needed to train first and show everyone that with proper time and skill, he will be the greatest Pokemon trainer of all!
And with Treecko and Totodile by his side, he believed anything was possible!
Lincoln Loud's Pokemon Team
Treecko (Male)
Totodile (Male)
I decided to give Lincoln my favorite Johto starter just because I can.
Loud Of Uva Academy was taken down because some prankster left a link to an inappropriate website in the comment section. I didn't want my story to get banned so I decided to take it down before anyone had a chance to see that.
It will be put up back on a later date.
That is all I had to say.
Strategus, out!
