"Let's stop here Bailey. Let Aztec and Amber have a break." Alexis says as she and Bailey are riding along some trees.
"Sounds good. Sounds like they agree too." Bailey says as Aztec and Amber neigh happily as the group stops.
"Look Bailey. Apples." Alexis says as she and Bailey get off their horses and head over to the apples.
"I don't know about you but apples sound good for lunch. How about you Aztec? Aztec?" Bailey asks as he and Alexis turn to see Aztec and Amber prancing and playing around with each other happily.
"Looks like Aztec has his mind elsewhere and so does Amber. It's pretty adorable." Alexis says as she smiles happily.
"They have been hanging around each other a lot lately. But then again so have you and me." Bailey says as he blushes while smiling.
"I know but I enjoy these times together." Alexis says as she smiles at Bailey.
"Me too. Come on. We should get started back." Bailey says as he and Alexis get back on their horses.
"Right. Huh?" Alexis
"Whoa! Down boy." Bailey says as Aztec begins to freak out causing Amber to freak out as a bush rustles.
"Easy Amber. Easy. Hey it's a puppy." Alexis says as a puppy tangled up in roots comes out of the bush.
"A tangled up puppy. It's okay little guy. There. Now you're free. Paws look fine. No collar or tag either." Bailey says as he gets off Aztec and frees the puppy before picking it up as it kicks his face.
"Looks like he likes you." Alexis says as she chuckles.
"Okay little guy. Let's get you clean and fed. Then we'll find your owner." Bailey say as he gets back on Aztec with the puppy as the group leaves.
*Timeskip*
"He's so cute." Molly says as she and the others are in awe of the puppy as Alexis and Bailey finish cleaning him up.
"Can I hold him please?" Alma asks as Molly wraps the dog up in a towel.
"He'll get you wet." Molly says.
"I don't mind." Alma says a Molly hands her the dog.
"Hey what about us?" Chloe and Zoey ask in union.
"Awe." Alma says happily.
"Will checked all over town and nobody's reported a lost puppy. Little guy may have been abandoned." Bailey says.
"It's hard to believe how anyone can be so cruel." Molly says.
"Yeah but unfortunately it happens. I know that first hand myself. But the good thing is he's been found by people he'll be safe with and that's the important thing." Alexis says.
"Aww. He kissed me." Alma says as the puppy licks her cheek.
"My turn! I've decided to adopt him." Bailey says as Alma hands him the dog.
"Really?" Alma asks in surprise.
"What are you going to name him?" Molly asks.
"I don't know. Any ideas?" Bailey asks.
"With his fur all clean and fluffed out he looks just like a tiny bear cub." Molly says.
"He does look just like a little cub. That's it. I'm naming him Cubby." Bailey says as he smiles at the dog.
"Bailey can I talk to you a minute?" Alma asks as she looks at Bailey.
"Uh sure. Here Alexis. You take him for a bit." Bailey says as he hands Cubby to Alexis and walks away with Alma before he comes back as Molly goes over to Alma.
*Timeskip*
"Here Cubby. You can munch on this until we get you some proper puppy kibble. Shep won't mind." Bailey says as he gives Cubby some food before Chloe picks Cubby up as Shep comes over.
"Come on Cubby. Meet your uncle Shep." Chloe says before Cubby begins whining as Shel jumps and knocks them both down.
"You okay Chloe?" Zoey asks as she helps Chloe up while Alexis picks up Cubby.
"Doesn't look like Cubby liked meeting Shep especially him jumping at Chloe like that." Alexis says.
"Shep! You have to be careful. You scared Cubby and made Chloe fall. Go somewhere else so you won't scare him again." Bailey says as Shep whines and walks off.
"He didn't mean it Bailey. It was an accident." Alexis says as Bailey looks at her.
"I know but Shep has to learn to be careful with Cubby. He's a puppy not a full grown dog. And Shep knows better than to jump at people even if it's through playing." Bailey says.
"Yeah. I guess you're right there." Alexis says.
