Chapter 7: Pinky the Pirate:

Jackie's POV:

We were all in Uncle's Antique Shop. So far, Uncle hasn't had a customer. Then Kimi walked in.

"I was at the beach, and I got a loose piece from the old pirate ship," says Kimi.

"Hold it," says Jade, "I've been at the beach and I'm pretty sure I would've noticed a pirate ship."

The truth is the pirate ship has been there a long time. I'm not sure how Jade missed it. She can be very observant. Oh well.

"I think you could sell this," says Kimi.

Uncle observes it.

"What do you know about old ship?"

"Well... nothing."

"Then Uncle cannot sell it unless Uncle knows something about it!"

"Can't you just make something up," asks Phil.

"Yeah, you could say the ship belongs to space pirates," says Dil.

"Do you want Uncle to lie about a possible sale? They must have a true story! Uncle will not be able to sell a piece of an unknown pirate ship! Jackie, we must do research!"

Uncle and I then went into the library.

Kimi's POV:

I was alone with the piece of wood. It looked like it was a plank. It had an image of a mermaid on it. Then it started to glow, and a ghostly image came out. It let out a laugh and took the form of a pirate.

"What the..."

"At last! I be back! Ahoy, Lass. Pinky the Pirate at yer service."

"Your name is... Pinky?"

"'n wha' be wrong wit' that?"

"Nothing! So... how did you get that name?"

The pirate revealed he had a fishing hook on his pinky.

"Don't ask," he said.

"OOOoookkkaaayyy."

Pinky looks at a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge.

"Um... Captain?"

"Garr? Oh, savvy? Lass, thar be one thing I wants from ye. Yer help?"

"With what?"

"I needs t' get back t' me ship. I feel so lost without it. A pirate without his ship be like a mermaid without her beauty."

"You sure like mermaids."

"Aye. Long 'ave I wished t' meet one. But right now, me desire be t' return t' me ship."

"Um... sure. I'll help you get back to it."

"Thank ye Lass."

"I'll talk to the guys."

I then left the room.

Jackie's POV:

Uncle and I were trying to figure out something about the ship.

"Uncle," I said, "I found something. Long ago, there was a pirate who sailed the seas. His name was Pinky..."

"Pirates have weird names," says Uncle.

"Pinky was obsessed with three things: treasure, mermaids, and being better than the Siren of the Sea. One stormy day, his ship was going to crash, so his crew abandoned him, but he placed a curse on the ship. His spirit would remain in a piece of it..." Uncle and I both realized something. "What are the odds that Kimi brought the piece with his spirit here?"

"With us," says Uncle, "pretty good."

Uncle and I then got up to find Kimi, but all the kids were missing.

Kimi's POV:

We all arrived with Pinky to his ship.

"Seriously," says Jade, "how did I never notice that before?"

"Aliens," says Dil.

"Or she just kept missing it," says Tommy.

"Thar be me ship," says Pinky, "'n now thar be one more thing I needs."

"What's that," I asked.

"T' bring me crew back!" Pinky then started glowing and zombie pirates rose from the ocean.

"Are those zombies," asks Chuckie.

"Even better then aliens," says Dil.

"Why are they rising," asks Lil.

"'tis hard t' pilfer yer golden bridge without thar help," says Pinky.

"What," I asked.

"That's right! Scuttlin' the piece from the ship releases me 'n now I can bring back me crew 'n we can plunder the city!"

"You tricked me?"

"Honestly, I thought 'twas kind o' obvious. I was lookin' at that picture o' the bridge. Plus, I be a pirate."

"I feel so dumb."

"Ah, don't be so hard on yourself. Ye was like enough jus' havin' a bad day. I be sure ye be a bright sprog. Well, now that that's done. Let's go!"

"One thing, Cap'n," asks a zombie, "ye're nah mad about us leavin' ye behind, are ye?"

"The cap'n always goes down wit' his ship. Now let's go afore I decide t' send ye all back!"

Pinky and his pirates then all leave.

Jackie's POV:

Uncle and I arrive and see the kids.

"Kimi, did you meet anyone strange," I asked.

"Yeah, and Pinky got away with his zombie crew," says Kimi, "we have to go after them."

"I'll go after them," I said.

"Kids will help Uncle find a spell to send them back. Let's go."

"So, I don't get to fight pirates," says Jade, "stupid ship."

. . .

Pinky and his crew were at the bridge.

"Cap'n, this bridge be nah made o' gold!"

"Arrgh! I hate it when pictures lie t' me," says Pinky, "well, guess we'll 'ave t' loot all the loot from the city!"

"Stop," I said.

"'n who are ye?"

"I be Jackie Chan, an archaeologist..."

"Wha' be an archaeologist?"

"I look for treasure..."

"Cap'n, he be like us."

"Well, actually, I find treasure to give to the museum..."

"Belay that, so ye don't keep it fer yourself," asks Pinky.

"Well, no..."

"Weirdo," says a zombie.

"Get 'im," says Pinky.

I ended up fighting the zombies. I kicked one's head off. Another threw his arm at me. One tried to slice me with his sword. There was also one who tried to shoot me with his pistol.

"That pistol has had its bullets for all these years," I asked.

"I know right?"

The fight continued, and I took one zombie's sword and ended up in a sword fight with Pinky. The problem is, he's a ghost.

Kimi's POV:

We were doing research to look for a way to banish Pinky and his crew.

"Uncle has something," says Uncle, "we need to lure him with his greatest desire."

"How much money we got," asks Jade.

"Actually," I said, "I think I have a better idea."

Jackie's POV:

I was still sword fighting Pinky.

"If you strike me down," I said, "I'll become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."

Pinky thought he had an opportunity to strike, but I was messing with him, and I dodged.

"Ye lily-livered landlubber!"

"So, it would be brave to let you kill me? By the way, if you do, how do you know I won't become a ghost and then fight you for all eternity?"

"That... be a good point."

Then we both stopped and saw something. It looked like...

"A Mermaid," says Pinky.

He then floated to it.

I was confused. I then chased after him.

. . .

I eventually made it to the spot and saw Pinky with the person. Something was fishy, and I have a feeling it was because she wasn't a fish.

"At long last, a real mermaid."

"Not exactly," says the mermaid, who turned out to be Kimi.

"What?"

"Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao," Uncle started saying, "Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao, Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao!"

A wormhole then opened, and it started sucking up the zombies and Pinky himself.

"We shall meet again, Lass. I will 'ave me revenge!"

Pinky and his crew were no more.

. . .

Without the ghost possessing it, Uncle was able to sell the plank.

"I can't believe I let that pirate tricked me," says Kimi.

"Don't feel too bad," I said, "you had no way of knowing. One thing's for sure, he should've learned there are better things than treasure."

"Like what," asks Angelica.

Ironically, Kimi is actually a descendant of a Mermaid Princess which is why she has black hair with blonde highlights, very dark chocolate brown eyes, and warm wheatish toffee Ivory skin which represent that her ancestry came from the sunken city of Lemuria. In the next chapter, Chuckie gets the power of the Ox Talisman.
