Chapter 8: Strong As An Ox:

Jackie's POV:

In Egypt, we were looking through the Tomb of the Sacred Bull.

"I thought Egypt was all about cats," says Jade.

"Shows you should read books more," I said.

I looked at the hieroglyphics, but then we heard Chuckie scream.

"Sorry guys," says Chuckie, "there is a heavy rock that's on me!"

I then helped him get it off.

"I wish I was stronger," says Chuckie.

"Strength isn't everything," I said.

"Wrong Chan," says Ox, "strength is the thing!"

I then fought Ox while the kids left to find the Talisman.

"Ox, haven't you heard of The Curse of the Sacred Bull?"

"Nice try Chan, curses are as real as Santa Claus."

"Well, here's your lump of coal." I then punched him.

"And I'm going to give you your season's beatings!"

We made a lot of holiday puns, not just Christmas.

Tommy's POV:

We were searching the tomb for the talisman.

"That's alot of bull," says Dil.

We all looked at him and then looked at the area.

"Oh," says Kimi, "you were talking about the room."

"Yeah, what did you guys think I was talking about?"

We then moved on and looked for the talisman.

"Hey guys," says Jade, "I found it... it's a bull. Duh."

"Actually, it's an ox," says Montana, "eend ya kids ahr goin' ta give it ta us."

"An Ox Talisman and Jackie's fighting Ox," says Phil, "that's ironic."

Montana and Fancy Dan was heading for us, but Jade threw the talisman and Chuckie got it.

"I'm doomed."

Montana and Fancy Dan was heading for him, but then, somehow, he knocked them back.

"What just happened," asks Chuckie.

"Never mind," I said, "let's go!"

We all ran.

Jackie's POV:

After we started running out of holiday puns, the kids arrived, and I knocked Ox out.

"Trick or beat," I said.

"Alright, Jackie," says Jade, "enough with the puns."

"You kids should've heard my Fourth of July pun," I said as we were leaving.

Shen Du's POV:

"I have one quesssstion," I ssssaid, "why issss it none of you can defeat one man?"

"My Lord, he's full of surprises..." ssssayssss Nichang.

"Ah 'ave a bad knee..." ssssayssss Montana.

"At least we looked good while we were getting our butts..." ssssayssss Fancy Dan.

"EEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH! I have grown tired of all your excussssessss."

"I got something dat could 'elp," ssssayssss Hammerhead, "everyone, meet Neugog."

"A pleasure," ssssayssss Neugog.

"A very unique creature," I ssssaid.

"What could he do that we could not?" asssskssss Nichang.

Then she sssstarted picking her nosssse.

"I can use my brain!"

"I'm impressssssed. But I do have one quesssstion. Ox?"

Ox wassss an actual ox. "Anyone ever heard of the Curse of the Sacred Bull?"

Chuckie's POV:

We were on our way to Section Thirteen, but I started thinking. How was I able to knock Montana and Fancy Dan down? Then I looked at the talisman. It started glowing again. I looked at Jackie's car and decided to test something. I then lifted the car.

"Chuckie, did you..." Jackie started saying until they all saw.

"Since when do you work out," asks Lil.

"I think the Talisman gives me super strength."

"Strong as an ox," says Jade, "now that's funny."

"Well, we still gotta take it to Section Thirteen," says Jackie.

"Yeah... right." I then looked at the talisman.

We did take it to Section Thirteen, but then I decided to take it out. I have the power of strength now. Imagine what I can do with it.

I saw that a car was parked next to a fire hydrant, so I moved the car.

Then I saw someone had left a piano in front of a car, so I moved it.

As I was walking, a pair of barbells were in my way, so I lifted them and moved them.

For the first time in my life, I can do this stuff.

Neugog's POV:

I can sense it.

"Well, Doctor," asks Shen Du.

"I can sense someone is using your talisman. Yes, one of Mr. Chan's brats."

"Of coursssse," says Shen Du, "we musssst..."

"No need. He's going to gife it to us."

"Are you going to... 'convincccce' him?"

"Of course."

I started laughing, zen Shen Du joined in.

"Did I miss something," asks Ox.

Nichang shrugs, zen zey joined in.

Chuckie's POV:

I was enjoying this power, but now I got to return the talisman. As I was on my way back to Section 13, I heard a voice. A too familiar voice.

"Chuckie."

I have a bad feeling about this.

"Don't be ahfraid. I'm your friend. I just vant you to meet me aht Alcatraz vith der talisman! You can do zat for me, can't you? Don't let your buddy down."

It was Neugog and I... couldn't resist him.

"Good boy."

Jackie's POV:

I walked into the vault, and I noticed something.

"Monkey, Rat, Rabbit... where's... the ox?"

I checked with the kids, but they're all clean. Well, Phil... is literally not, but he doesn't have the talisman.

"So, who's got it," asks Jade.

"Wait, who isn't here," I asked.

We realize Chuckie's missing.

Kimi calls him. "Chuckie?" Kimi hangs up. "He says he can't talk now; he has to take the Ox Talisman to Alcatraz."

"Why would he... wait, how did he say it?" I asked.

"Like a robot."

"Neugog," we all said.

I arrived at Alkatraz and saw Chuckie taking the Talisman to Neugog.

"Der Big Man vill reward me greatly zanks to you. Now, gife me der pretty rock."

"Don't do it, Chuckie!"

"Mr. Chan. How nice to see you again."

I had a helmet that protected me from Neugog's power.

"Nice hat. So, looks like I von't hafe to fight. Chuckie, use zat ox power against him."

"What," I asked.

"Not only vould you refuse to harm a child, but he ahlso has super strength. Ahllow me to say it for you. Bad Day. Bad Day. Bad Day."

Chuckie tries to attack, but I keep dodging.

"Chuckie, I don't want to hurt you."

Chuckie tries again and I keep dodging.

"I vould call his parents if I vere you," says Neugog, "maybe zey can discipline him."

I then realized the power comes from Neugog's mind. First, I'd have to make a phone call.

Jade's POV:

I was waiting in the Antique Shop when the phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Jade," says Jackie, "turn on some really loud music."

I was confused, but I turned on Beasts of Mayhem.

Jackie's POV:

As Chuckie was still trying to break me, I jumped and landed on Neugog and pointed the phone at him.

"It's for you," I said.

The music was so loud that it broke Neugog's concentration, breaking his control over Chuckie.

"Huh? What?"

I then jumped off of Neugog and landed on Chuckie and grabbed the talisman.

"What vas zat racket?"

"That was something I kept telling Jade not to play so loudly."

I then lifted Neugog and threw him into a cell.

"Drat."

Neugog was in Section Thirteen custody and the Ox Talisman was in the vault.

"Sorry Jackie," says Chuckie.

"As Neugog was so kind enough to help us demonstrate," I said, "it's not strength, it's the power of the mind."

Neugog could only glare.

In the next chapter, things are getting stolen by a modern Robin Hood named Turbo Jet.
