Hi Readers: What are we thinking about the story so far? I'd love to know your thoughts, and whether you guys think this is going in the right direction; though, I believe that this story is headed the right way. Then again, I'm the author and I'm biased. Chapter Nine

To say that Matt was surprised when he came back into his and Alex's room to see that his wife was still sitting in bed was an understatement, especially considering what his and Alex's plans were for the night: they were going to take a bath and just relax with each other. However, he was starting to wonder whether Alex was still on board with those plans now that he's notice that she's still in bed. So, he decided to speak to his wife as he closed the door to their room so that they can have some private time with each other. "So, does this mean that we're changing our plans this evening?" Looking up at Matt after he spoke to her, Alex shook her head as that was the last thing they were doing. "Don't worry babe, you're still going to get me in the bath." Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that, glad that was the case as he started to make his way over to their bed. "So, you want me to go run the bath?" Alex shook her head. "Not yet, but you can strip down for me." Matt laughed as his wife said that, before making his way over to her this evening.

Leaning over her, he smiled as he placed his hands on her neck and then kissed her softly. Just taking things nice and slow with his wife, Matt smirked due to the fact that this is precisely what he wants to be doing with her right now. He wants to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves, due to the fact that she's the love of his life; but first, he needs to figure out just why they're in bed. "Can you tell me whether you're okay first? It's just odd for you not to get right in the bath after supper." Grabbing Matt's hand, Alex agreed with him when he asked her whether she was okay; after all, she's more than okay. She's happy and just wants to take it easy for a minute because she needs to realize that this is real, that they're really married. With everything that's happened today, all the conversations they've had in the past forty-eight hours, all the changes which have happened in their lives; she just feels like she needs to slow down for a minute to make sure that it's all real. "I just want to take a minute, is that ok?" Matt nodded, as it's more than ok.

If she feels like she needs to take a minute before they take a bath, then they can take a minute before they take a bath. "Babe, you never need to ask me that. I want you to just take it easy and relax if that's what you need to do." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, smiling as that's precisely what she wants to do. "I'd love it if my husband got in bed with me though, shirtless." Matt smirked as he heard Alex say that, before getting up so that he can give his wife precisely what she wants from him; she wants him to be shirtless, so he's going to be shirtless. And as he got up, he just smiled as he went ahead and took off his shirt for the woman he loves. The woman of his dreams, Alexandra Casey. "God, I just love it when you tease me like that." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before seeing that she's just wearing one of his dress shirts; one which he hopes to take off just as soon as he set his shirt down under his pillow. But, to do that, he first needs to walk around their bed, which is precisely what he did, while teasing Alex.

I mean, how can she not be turned on when her husband is walking around shirtless in some very tight boxers? "God, you are such a turn on and I am so glad that you're my husband." Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that, well aware that was the case as he made his way over to his side of the bed; only to see his phone flashing. So, he decided to pick it up and saw that it was a text from his niece. 'Congratulations uncle Matt.' Smiling as he read that, Matt went to reply to Violet. 'Since when do you have a phone Miss V?' Violet then replied to her uncle. 'A while. Listen, I need to stay quiet. Can you promise not to tell my parents? I just wanted to send congrats. They say no phone in bed.' Matt smiled as he proceeded to sit down. 'I promise V. Just go to bed since it's late. Your mom is here in California with me.' Violet agreed. 'I know, she's the one that told me you got married.' Matt agreed. 'Must mean that she knows you're awake. By the way, you can always talk to me. You know that, right?' Violet was confused when she read that.

'I know that Uncle Matt, why are you telling me that? Is everything okay?' Matt took a breath when he realized what he just said, before sitting down. 'Everything's okay, your mom just said that you were stressed lately. Are you ok?' Violet agreed. 'Oh, just a lot of homework because it was a snow day here yesterday. God, it's like they want you to catch up on work on purpose.' Matt smiled. 'Well, that makes sense. We need to make sure that you're nice and smart. Now, listen. You need to get to bed and just take it easy. Love you V. I promise not to tell your mom.' Violet agreed. 'Thanks uncle Matt. Love you too.' Smiling as Violet said that, Matt set his phone down and proceeded to plug his phone in; which is when he heard his wife speak to him. "What was that all about? I saw your smile get pretty big." Matt agreed as he proceeded to climb into bed with the woman he loves. "It was Violet, she sends her congratulations." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling as she loved the sound of that. "Leftovers?" Matt nodded.

After which, he told her what she wanted to hear. "In the fridge, ready for you to eat in the morning." Alex smiled as Matt said that, well aware that she does eat pasta in the morning sometimes. "Oh, shut up. You know that I love pasta and would eat it 24/7 if it was healthy." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware that was the case. "I know, which is why I try and make it healthy for you. But, we don't need to worry about that right now as we instead just need to take it easy and relax with each other. Also, you said that you wanted to take a bath, so we need to figure out when that's going to happen." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, before watching him get close to her and wrap his arm around her; while she moved into his lap and cuddled up to him. After which, she wrapped her arms around his muscular torso as she slipped her legs in between his; and let's just say that Matt was very happy when she did that, as it's the best feeling in the entire world. Especially now that Alex is his wife. The woman he loves more than anything.

Placing his hand on her back, Matt smiled as he rubbed his wife's back and just held her close to him, while also kissing the top of her head as they both held each other close right now. Not that he wants to do anything other than this. He wants to take it easy with his wife as they relax with each other and just enjoy this quiet time with each other. And when he says quiet time, he truly means it due to the fact that Alex pretty much got quiet the moment she was in her husband's arms; not that Matt minded, as he could clearly tell that it was what she needed at the moment. She needed to just take it easy and relax in her husband's arms, rather than talk to each other for a moment. "So, I texted Violet and let her know that she can talk to me if she needs to talk." Looking up at Matt, Alex got worried. "How did you do that, when she doesn't know?" Matt smiled. "I just told her that her mom said she was stressed recently." Alex agreed with her husband, as that's a good way to do it. "I'm glad, because I do not want to make Christie mad right now."

Running his hand up and down Alex's back, Matt agreed with his wife due to the fact that he already knew that was the truth. "I know that's what we need to do. However, I'm glad that we're holding each other close right now. I am very comfortable as we cuddle up to each other in bed." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, smiling as he bent down and kissed the top of her head once more. "This is everything I want right now. If you don't want to take a bath, then I understand." Alex laughed when Matt said that, as she's taking a bath with her husband; that's something she's determined to do. "Oh, we're still taking a bath. That's something we're doing." Matt smirked. "I already texted Andy, made him jealous over the fact that I'm going to have my wife in my arms tonight; while he decided to go to Vegas with Severide." Alex looked up at her husband. "Last time I checked, you were going to go there as well. Hell, we did go there." Matt agreed with Alex. "I was going to get away from Hallie." Alex smiled and agreed with her husband.

And her smile only grew when he pressed his lips to her forehead, which is the best feeling in the entire world; she just loves it when Matt presses his lips to her forehead due to the fact that it makes her feel so loved. "Sorry I keep bringing her up, I guess it's just part of my life still." Alex agreed with her husband, well aware that was the case. "I know you're sorry about that. It's fine babe. I promise." Matt nodded as he looked down at the woman he loves, before wrapping his arms around her and smiling as he stared down into her eyes. After which, he bent down and just started to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "I love you and I am so glad that this is what we're doing. Just holding each other close, after having a nice supper with my sister; ahead of us taking a nice bath with the woman of my dreams." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, loving it when he calls her the woman of his dreams. "You have no idea how much I love the sound of you calling me the woman of your dreams." Matt smiled and agreed with Alex.

After which, he turned his head and smiled as he kissed the top of her head; I mean, his wife is gorgeous and he's very happy right now. And as they held each other in bed, this is precisely what they want to do with each other. They want to hold each other close and just take it easy with each other in bed. "I'm happy right now, I hope you know that." Alex agreed with her husband, while also turning her head to look at him. "I'm happy too, and I want you to know that as well. This is my dream life, and you're my dream husband." Matt smirked as he heard Alex say that, before moving his hand to her neck and bending down to kiss her softly. "I think you mean, only husband as I plan on being married to you for the rest of my life." Alex agreed with her loving husband, as she feels the same way. She wants to be married to her dreamy husband for the rest of her life, which is something Matt already knows. "I know, and I am so glad that we plan on being married to each other for the rest of our lives." Matt smirked as he agreed with Alex.'

After which, he turned his head and pressed his lips to her forehead due to the fact that he knew that they were starting to get antsy. "I think we both know that us cuddling here isn't going to last much longer." Alex smirked as she looked up at her husband. "I mean, unless you want to try for a baby again ahead of us taking a bath." Smirking, Matt looked down at the woman he loves; after which, he rolled over and laid her down on her back so that they can do just that. So that he can take things nice and slow with the woman he loves once more, as they try for the baby of their dreams. The baby they want to have so bad, that's just something they both know. And it's why they're all over each other so much. I mean, other than the fact that they love each other more than anything; because honestly, this is the life that they both want to have each other. Add in the fact that they're obsessed with each other, it just makes them two of the happiest people in the entire world. That's just a fact that nobody can ever deny.

The feeling of Matt's strong hands all over her body when they make love to each other in bed will always be her favorite way to have Matt touch her, but this feeling of him touching her in this way had to be her second way to have him touch her body. To have him run his hands all over her body, as they hold each other and just relax in the comfort of their bath, which is precisely where they want to be right now due to the fact that it was what Matt promised her they'd do tonight, he just had no idea that it would happen after they made love to each other one last time. And when Matt says that it would be the last time, he means it due to the fact that Alex is starting to get tired already. Not tired of having sex, but just tired in general. He can see it in the way she's all cuddled up to him right now, he can see her with her eyes closed as she laid her head down on his heart; while he ran his hand up and down her back and pressed his lips to her forehead. After which, he decided to whisper to her (while wrapping his legs around hers too). "Tired?"

Shaking her head when Matt asked her whether she was tired, Alex smiled as she was comfortable rather than tired. She was happy, comfortable, and very relaxed as she laid down in the comfort of her loving husband's arms here in the bath. "I'm comfortable, not tired. Believe me, I would rather be awake as we hold each other right now than sleeping in bed." Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that, smiling as he pressed his lips to her forehead and ran his hand up and down her back. "Good, because I was worried over whether we were having too much sex." Alex laughed as Matt asked her that question. "Baby, I love the way you touch me and love me in bed. I love it so much, and I will get mad at you if you take my sex away from me." Wrapping his arm around Alex's back, Matt kissed the top of her head and smiled as he moved his other hand to her neck and pushed her head up. Staring into her eyes, Matt smirked. "Last time I checked, it wasn't just your sex. I'm part of the equation too." Alex agreed with Matt, smiling at her husband.

The man she loves more than anything in the entire world, and who she's incredibly proud to have the honor to call her husband. He's just the best man in the entire world, and she loves him more than anything. He's so sexy, strong, and he makes her so happy. Even when they just take it easy in the bath, just doing this with him makes her happy. It's so simple, yet one of the easiest ways of making her happy; simply due to the fact that he's holding her in his arms as they take it easy with each other. As they hold each other close and relax, while they spend quality time with each other. "I really liked that supper you made for us, by the way. Fettucine alfredo with sausage was very unique, yet very delicious." Matt agreed with his wife. "My sister said the same thing, so I think that I can do that again in the future. Just, not right now when I'm enjoying some very sexy time with my wife in the bath after we made love to each other." Alex nodded. "Just curious, do you feel like our sex is better now that we're married?" Matt smiled at Alex.

After all, he didn't want to say anything; but, that's precisely how he feels. There's just something about the way they have intimate fun with each other now that they're married, which is just different and so much better than when they did it in the past. "I think it's better due to the fact that we can do it whenever we want and aren't sneaking around anymore. We're doing it when we want, and we don't need to hide the fact that we love each other." Alex agreed with her husband, as she loves that part. "I have to say, that was probably one of the parts I hated about being the other woman; having to hide the fact that you're the man I love. Not being able to tell you that I love you in public, when that's precisely what I want to do all the time. I wanted to scream out loud that you're the love of my life." Matt nodded as he ran his fingers up and down Alex's back, sending shivers up her spine. "Oh, someone likes that." Alex agreed, as she does like it when he touches her like that. So, she looked up at the man of her dreams. "Of course, I like it."

Matt nodded as he placed his hand on her back, while also wrapping his arms around her and bending down to kiss her softly. He then took things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams, as they celebrated 24 hours of marriage. "Can you believe it's only been 24 hours since we exchanged our vows and got married?" Alex smiled, well aware that it's only been a bit over 24 hours. "It feels like a lifetime ago already, but I'm happy that we exchanged vows. Just know that I want to have a real wedding in the future, with all the glitz and glamor." Matt agreed, as that's something he can already promise his wife. "I promise, I want that too. But, maybe first we can have a baby?" Alex was confused. "Why do you want to have a baby, before we have a real wedding?" Matt smirked. "Wouldn't it be nice to have one of our kids as either the ring bearer or the flower girl?" Alex smiled, as she loved the sound of that; so, she cuddled up to Matt and pressed her lips to his chest to show him that she likes the idea that he just proposed.

I mean, how could she not like the idea of their children being in the wedding party? "God, your daughter would be so adorable as the flower girl." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that. "Just curious, what do you want first? A son, or a daughter?" Smiling, Alex hugged her husband here in the comfort of their bath. "Honestly, I don't care; as long as they make the pregnancy easy on my body." Wrapping his arm around Alex's shoulders, Matt nodded as he stroked her shoulder with his thumb. "I hope you know it means the world to me that you retired from modelling so that we can have a baby. I just want you to be healthy babe." Alex agreed with her husband, well aware that was the case. "I know that Matt, which is why I'm quitting. Plus, means that I get more time with my husband. More time to get pregnant with our kid." Matt smirked, as he loved the sound of that. "Means we can try and travel some." Alex agreed with Matt. "Are you really going to be able to travel with your job?" Matt nodded as he looked down at Alex.

He then pressed his lips to her forehead, while smiling her. "I can work from anywhere in the world, which means that I can travel with you and our family in the future." Alex agreed with Matt, as she likes the idea of them travelling some. "I have to say, I do like the idea of us travelling." Matt nodded, well aware that was the case. "I had a feeling you were going to say something like that." Alex smiled as she laid her head down on his toned chest, just taking her time to cuddle up to the man of her dreams. "Promise me you don't let me fall asleep here in the bath?" Looking down at his wife, Matt pressed his lips to her forehead. "If you want to get out and go lay down in bed, then we can do that babe. I'm comfortable both here, and in bed with you." Alex agreed with her husband. "I just don't want to have sex again. I want to take it easy and just relax, maybe even tomorrow as I cuddle up to you in bed." Running his fingers up and down Alex's back, Matt nodded. "I can only assume that you're tired and need to relax?" Alex agreed with her husband and smiled.

After all, that's precisely what she wants to do. She wants to take it easy and relax with him, as they cuddle up to one another in the comfort of their bed. "I mean, if you're okay with that." Looking down at Alex, Matt nodded and smiled as he's more than okay with them just taking it easy and relaxing as they cuddle up to one another in the comfort of their bed. "Can't wait." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, smiling as she turned her head and pressed a kiss to his muscular chest; while he wrapped his arm around her and rubbed her back as a sign to her that he loves the feeling of her soft lips on his chest. After all, it's a great feeling as it's a way for his wife to show him that she loves him; while not having to say it to him or have sex. She can just kiss his chest and take it easy with him, which is precisely what they plan on doing with each other for the rest of the night; no more sex, just taking it easy as they cuddle up to each other like they are right now. But next time, they'll be doing it in the comfort of their bed.

He had to say, he absolutely loves the outfit that his wife decided to wear for him tonight as they prepared to get in bed, as she was just wearing her underwear. Hell, she wasn't even wearing a shirt and he had a feeling it was going to stay that way based on the fact that Alex was just sitting in bed and yawning, his wife seemingly quite tired tonight. "I promise, we can go to bed soon. You have nothing to worry about when it comes to that." Looking up at Matt when he said that, Alex was surprised to hear him say that. "No, I'm fine." Smiling at his wife, Matt already knew that was a lie; rather, she was tired, and she was going to want to go to bed. "Babe, we both know that you're tired and want to go to sleep. I mean, you just yawned." Alex agreed. "I guess, it was just a lot today. Long day since yesterday." Matt smiled as he agreed with his wife, before grabbing his phone and carrying it towards his side table. "Yes, when we got married in Vegas." Alex smiled. "Are the guys mad that you aren't there?" Matt shook his head. "They want me to be happy, which is precisely what I am when I'm with you." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, loving the sound of that.,'

But not as much as the sight of her husband coming to get in bed with her, which is precisely what he was in the midst of doing now that he just set his phone down. Matt was climbing into bed with her, so that he can cuddle up to her and hold her close, which is precisely what she wants him to do. She wants him to get in bed, so that they can take it easy with each other, which involves him getting close to her, just like he did right now. Wrapping his arm around her back afterwards, Matt smiled as he stared into his gorgeous wife's eyes; while she placed her hand on the side of his face and just held him close. "Now, this is the life I've always wanted to live with my handsome husband." Matt agreed with Alex, well aware that this is the life she's always wanted to live. And thanks to them being married, it's the life that she's going to be able to live for the rest of her life. "We're married now, so this is your life forever now babe." Alex agreed with Matt, smirking as she leaned in and kissed the man of her dreams. "Tomorrow, I want something." Matt smirked. "More sex from your husband?" Alex smiled as she leaned her forehead against Matt's, as she loved the sound of that.

But, she instead wanted something else. "Tomorrow, I want a relaxing day in bed. I don't want us to have too much sex, I just want to hold you in my arms as we cuddle and take it easy in bed. I mean, unless that's…" Leaning in, Matt kissed the woman he loves and just smiled as he ran his hand down her back. "I love the idea of a day in bed with you." Alex smiled as Matt said that, before kissing him once again. "No sex though. I just want to cuddle and hold each other. Just take it easy and concentrate on each other, before we have to go into the real world." Matt agreed with his wife, before starting to realize something. "You worried about that baby? The idea of us going out into the real world as a couple?" Alex sighed as she felt Matt run his hand up and down her arm. "I don't want to be worried about it, but…" Alex then sighed, as Matt already knew what she was trying to tell him. "You are worried about it, due to the fact that people will think that you were the other woman for a while." Alex agreed with her husband. "I just don't like that title." Matt agreed with his wife. "Neither do I, but we just have to ignore what the public thinks as this is our life." Alex bit her lip.

Though, that didn't mean that she didn't listen to Matt. "Babe, do I wish I did it right? That I ended things with Hallie before starting things with you? If I could go back, I would do it in a heartbeat based on what I know now. But, I didn't know all of this then, and I still wanted to be with you. I wanted to see where this would take us, and it led to us being married. That's my story and it makes me so happy that you're my wife. I don't care what the rest of the world thinks about us, all that matters to me is that you're my wife and that we love each other. This is our life, and we get to live it the way we want to." Alex agreed with Matt as he told her that, before smiling as she leaned in and kissed him softly. Just taking things nice and slow with her incredible husband, Alex just felt so happy over the fact that this is their life; the life she's always dreamed of having with the man of her dreams. The love of her life, Matthew Casey. "No sex tomorrow, just time with each other where we can take it easy." Matt agreed with his wife, as he loved the sound of that. "I love that idea, just like I love the idea of us sharing a kiss to end our night." Alex agreed as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

Meanwhile, Matt wrapped his arms around her too and just smiled as he leaned in and kissed the woman of his dreams; taking things slow with her for the rest of the night, Matt just felt so happy as they fell asleep in each other's arms for the second time as husband and wife.
