"Reki."

"Yes..."

"Do you think you Redcaps will be able to integrate into Mermaid society well enough that I can trust you to not cause any problems?" Naruto asked Reki, the head of the Dore clan at the moment, her opinion on the matter. At the moment Naruto was the only human in the village, but that may change in the future.

"If you told the women of my clan to slaughter their children, they would do it... and if you told them to be cause no problems, then they would cause no problems." Reki answered honestly. When she spoke, Naruto could see that she wasn't nearly as... insane in her belief. She spoke to him like he was a leader, and that she would follow all his orders, but she didn't quite treat him like a good.

She was the leader of a cult.

The leaders of a cult never drank the poisoned drink of the cult, they were the sane ones who knew that their teachings were bullshit. Their short conversation alone was enough to confirm his earlier theories.

"Lord Naruto... Can you, as a human, trust the word of a redcap?" Kana asked Naruto with a raised brow, since as his wife she was sitting next to him and she gazed suspiciously at the woman her husband cheated on her with. Naruto was very honest about the fact he had sex with the woman in front of him. She didn't hold any harsh feelings towards her husband for his sexual behavior, since it was explained to her how it earned the loyalty of the redcaps.

How far did that loyalty go though?

She didn't know.

"To the Redcaps, I'm not a human anymore... I'm their Spirit... I'm a god to them. Also... if you are going to stay in the village, we're going to have to fix your vision." Naruto had closed the windows of the home they were in.

Redcaps had good eyes.

During the day, their eyes were too good and it caused them to be unable to properly see in normal or strong sunlight. They had perfect night vision, able to see on even the darkest of nights using only the light of the stars. During the day though, they needed to squint and use canes to feel their way around.

"I apologize, Lady Kana... I've sworn myself to Lord Naruto. He owns me and all of my clan. Do you find it distasteful for me to offer myself to him?" Reki noticed that Naruto was looking at Kana for her answer.

Kana shook her head.

"No, I do not. The redcaps are fine warriors, powerful, fast, and just a benefit to the village. If anything, my husband has great seed. A child born from him and your clan would be great warriors to the village. I pray that you and all of the women of your clan get pregnant with his seed." Kana, being the logical and pragmatic woman that she was, wasn't mad in the slightest that Naruto had cheated on her.

"Oh! THANK-"

Kana raised a finger.

"Of course, even if one of your children are born before I have a child, they will not inherit anything from my husband. He will also not take part in raising the children of your clan. Only the children he has with me will be able to lead this village one day." Kana made that point clear as well. "My husband can cheat on me with whatever woman that he wishes, whenever he wishes, so long as he doesn't leave me, and all his other children rank lower than mine." Kana repeated the basics of her statement again.

Reki tilted her head with confusion.

"That goes without saying, does it not? Redcaps are only capable of birthing redcaps, and when a human man breeds with a species like mine, the child is always female. A redcap child of ours would never be able to measure up to his stature... we are not a clan of leaders, we are a clan of followers." Reki bowed her head to Kana.

Kana was very satisfied with that answer.

"Excuse... are you expecting me to cheat on you again?" Naruto asked Kana with a furrowed brow.

She stared, just stared.

"Of course. If there is ever a moment that you feel like you need to taste a new female, let me know and I will have one brought to you. Of course, I hope you never cheat on me on the anniversery of our wedding." Kana just had that condition she hoped he would follow, but she would not strictly enforce it either.

"I don't plan on cheating on you though." Naruto deadpanned slightly.

"If you plan to get the Goblin tribe, the Midori, on your side, then you may need to particpate in their culture. It might not quite be up to you. If you want to prove yourself to the goblins, then you need to show you can accept their culture." Reki pointed out to Naruto. She had already been informed of his plan to recruit the goblins into the mermaid village to improve it.

Naruto raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

"Goblins are a sexually free species. Every male mates with every woman in their clans, at pretty much every chance they get. They love sex, and take every chance to have it." Reki explained.

"Why?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow.

Reki shrugged.

"I've not paid too much attention to goblin culture, it would be better to ask them directly. I do know that the Midori clan is not hostile to humans, but they will capture and rape human females if given the chance."

"Makes sense, more breeding females." Kana stated, and Naruto turned his head so quickly he almost broke his neck. "They are similar to orcs."

"Actually, orcs rarely actually go through the trouble of using human women. The orcs are a traveling tribe of servantile men. They will serve the village, and in return they are allowed to impregnate a few women in order to make new orcs. Orcs are great warriors, so normally they are accepted into most monster societies." Reki explained more of that. She knew more about orcs than she did goblins.

Naruto raised an eyebrow.

"A race of servantile men?"

"Orcs are not leaders, but they are smart enough to know capturing and breeding women will just give them enemies. So, they make themselves a village's servant class, and in return they are allowed to breed several women of the village or clan. The clan they serve gets their strength, and they get to breed. Orcs are very obedient to those they respect. We once had an orc in the Dore clan... he was a good orc. I failed to get pregnant with his child before he died though." Reki could remember it well.

Naruto raised an eyebrow.

"Huh?"

"I am the Maiden of Comings and Goings. When warriors of a clan are unable to fight, or are too wounded to travel... I mate with them to try and get pregnant with their child, and then I kill them with honor. Sadly, all of the children I have birthed in the past have died from different issues." Reki had lost her children to famine, to war, to humans, and to wild animals in the past. She would keep birthing children for as long as she was able, and then she would pass on her title to the next generation.

Naruto hummed in thought.

"... You're a Holy Prostitute... I see... your role is to allow the men of your clan to continue living on through the next generation. I can respect that. How many children have you had?" Naruto asked Reki with a curious glance.

"I have had 8 children. I failed to have children with 9 of the warriors I put to rest, and all my children are currently in the next world."

Naruto nodded and saw sadness in her eyes.

"Okay then... I'll put a baby in you... and in this village, I promise you'll see your child grow into a fine adult." Naruto told Reki, and he gave her his word.

She started to genuinely cry.

"Thank you Lord Naruto... thank you again, and again... I will do everything in my power to make all your dreams and goals a reality. I will live and die by your word." Reki gave her own promise in return.

Naruto looked at his wife, before he looked back to Reki.

"I'll talk to Oj... Father." Naruto teased Kana, who looked away from him with a pout. "I'll talk to him, and we'll assign 3 of the redcaps in the Dore clan to go around and... well... just tell 3 of them that I want them to get pregnant with the children of good warrior men of the mermaids." Naruto wanted to mix the blood.

"Lord Naruto... don't they want to get pregnant with your kids?" Kana asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Tell the 3 you pick for this task, that the children they birth with the mermaids will be warriors who serve me, their Spirit, in the future. That it is by my order that the duty they will carry out, is of the utmost importance." Naruto told Reki.

"The women will fight each other for the chance to be prostitutes by your order."

Naruto thought about that.

"Okay, that makes it a little difficult... I don't want them fighting each other. Okay... how about this. To avoid fighting, the women who have had the most children, and are still able to birth healthy children, will do it... that sets a condition, so no fighting." Naruto proposed a compromise that would keep the redcaps from going wild on each other. "Also, tell them that I want the best warriors to start training. I'm going to need bodyguards for my wife when we go to speak with the goblins." Naruto stated with a smile.

Kana nodded her head.

She was not going to miss the chance to be at her husbands side during important negotiations.

"Yes, I will tell them."

Naruto nodded his head, before he picked up his wife.

"Okay then, while you all prepare, I'm going to spend all the time I have until we leave for Death Mountain, putting a baby in my wife." Naruto stated, and in response Kana turned bright red in the face at his bold declaration. The simple fact of the matter was that Kana would feel more comfortable if she was the first one to birth a child for him, even if she said she was okay with his infidelity.

Well, since he seemed like he would be sleeping around, the first woman he wanted to knock up was of course going to be his wife.
