After acquiring the Gryphon feather the next stop was the Bonesborough market. It didn't take too long to find stands selling trash slug eggs. After 2 quick payments of snails they had 3 of the 6 ingredients needed for the potion. "Well that was pretty easy." Luz said as the 2 sat down at an empty bench in town. "Yes but finding a giraffe's tooth will be very challenging since they haven't been on the isles in centuries." Amity said as she took a sip of water from a bottle she had brought with her. As the two sat, the center of boonesborough was bustling. It had come a long way since the days of the emperor. Long gone was the emperor's coven enforcing the law now that task was done by the

town guard. A group of witches appointed by local officials tasked with ensuring safety of the public. While things had mostly quieted down since the days of the emperor there were still troublemaking witches and demons out there that needed to be dealt with. So Raine proposed the idea of towns forming their own law enforcement as a way to ensure safety. " Well good thing for us, I know just where to look." Luz said as she got up from the bench. "So a trip to Gravesfield." Amity said as the two made their way back to the airship. "Yes Amity, we are gonna pay a visit to mom." to ask you some questions." The guard replied. Luz and Amity stepped off the airship and walked towards the guard. "Okay officer, what do you want to ask?" Amity said not sure of what he could want. "You two haven't seen any strange activity in the market. I'm investigating a series of robberies in the area." the guard replied. "No, we haven't officer. what was stolen anyway if you don't mind us asking?" Luz replied. " Oh potions, spell books, ingredients for potions, books on potions and other magical items like that. Thing is it isn't some two bit crook trying to sell it on the Night Market. We got informants in the market who haven't seen the missing items up for sale so whoever is

stealing it has some other purpose in mind than just a quick snail." the officer said as he pulled out his scroll. "That is strange. Well we will let you know if we see anything officer you have a good day." Luz said before the guard shouted "Wait! Can I get a selfie with the heroes of the Isles?" Luz and Amity looked at each other surprised at the man's request. "Of course you can." Amity and Luz said as the three took a selfie before the guard went off giddy as a schoolgirl in an anime. "Well that was weird." Luz said "But let's get back on track to the human realm." she said as the airship lifted off and made its way toward the portal….

Camila's House…

Luz and Amity were sitting down with Camila discussing the situation over coffee. "So let me get this straight. You found a potion that allows you two to have a baby and one of the ingredients you need is a giraffe's tooth." Camila said, trying to process all of this. In spite of her many trips to the demon realm over the years the place was still very confusing to her. "Pretty much." Luz said which caused a huge smile to grow on her face. "So what you're telling me I'm gonna be an abuela." Camila said as she pulled the two in for a hug. " Yes mama now please stop squeezing us." Luz said as Camila released them from the deadly mom hug. as she released the two girls. "So do you know anyway we can get the tooth?" Amity said. "Well your timing couldn't be more perfect." Camila said as she pulled out the morning's copy of the GravesField Examiner. " Take a look" She said as the two looked at the newspaper before pausing at the big headline. Geoffrey The Giraffe Dead. The two were stunned at their luck. Thinking it would be a difficult task to acquire a giraffe's tooth and here was a dead giraffe waiting for its tooth to be plucked. "Okay we have our giraffe, but how do we get into the zoo? It's not like we can just waltz in and pluck it from its mouth." Luz said as she handed the paper back to her mom. "Well it just so

happens the zoo called me and asked me to do the necropsy on Geoffrey. You two can pose as my assistants and get the tooth." Camila said. "Wait mom why are you doing it shouldn't it be the zoo vets." Luz said, puzzled at why an ordinary vet would be called to do this. "Normally you are right mija. Thing is, one vet is out on vacation and the other has a stomach virus." Camila said as she headed to the front door. "Where are you going Camila?" Amity said as she got up from her chair. "First, Amity I told you that it's ok to call me mom and second if you two are gonna be my assistants you'll need a pair of off to the store we go." and like that the three drove off….

Gravesfield Zoo 1 Hour later….

Camila pulled up to the rear entrance to the zoo where a guard approached her. Upon a quick inspection of paperwork they were allowed to pass. "Okay girls follow my lead and it will be over quickly." Camila said as they walked towards the head of the zoo. "Thank you for coming in such short notice." The zoo director said approaching the trio. "It's no problem now where is Geoffrey?" Camila said as the director handed her the giraffe's health records. "I had him moved to a sterile room large enough to accommodate him. All the equipment you will need has been set up." Said the zoo director as he led them to the room where Geoffrey was kept. With that the zoo director

departed and Camila began her work dissecting the demon having Luz and Amity take down detailed notes on each organ. The imagery of watching her mom inspect the creature's organs was enough to make her barf. Amity actually had barfed but the two knew it was worth it for the tooth. " Okay mija we are just about done now let's take some samples." Camila said, handing her daughter a pair of pliers. Luz signaled Amity as the two moved towards the demon's mouth. "Ugh its breath reeks." Luz said as she

lined up the pliers on one of the teeth. "Well I got the feather so you can get the tooth." Amity said, holding the mouth open as Luz tugged with her might to jar one of the teeth free. It seemed Geoffrey would not yield his teeth so easily. It took a combined effort from Luz and Camila before it finally came out. "Finally the last tough ingredient is out of the way." Luz said, holding the bloody tooth in her hand. "Glad I could help you two." Camila said as she began to pack up all of the tools. "Oh wait Camila can we borrow a blood draw kit." Amity said as the trio headed out of the zoo. "Of course you can Amity."
