Chapter 5: Confrontations

Flashback-After the Elder/council meeting-

The world was quite a specific place for heads of clans and Naruto was one of them. It was starting to sink in that he was to be married to Hinata and Ino and he wasn't really fond of the idea of being forced into something. He then went on to controversy in his mind that he never even talked with the girls but they seemed to have accepted it like it was breathing.

He had told his forces to station themselves outside of Konoha. "I'm sorry to have forced it upon you Naruto…" Tsunade said to him when they were alone after the meeting. "It's fine, Baa-chan…"

"Stop calling me that…!"

"Then take off your jutsu that makes you look young…" Tsunade gave him a death glare instantly shutting him up. "Sorry…"

"Its fine, but I am sorry, however I was just not informed that the Hyuuga and Yamanaka clan heads were ok with giving away their daughters." Naruto nodded in agreement having not suspected it to happen. "I will still take the offer if that's what the girls wanted. I will ask them and if they accept then they accept…if they are being honest and say they were pressured then I'll deny it on my terms…They seem very happy to want to give away their daughters for my main clan branch."

"It's kinda how things are with clans…the main branch which you hail from is the main branch where Kushina was connected to even Mito Uzumaki, the first Hokage's wife. Great-Grandfather said that branch was always so important to the Uzumaki clan because of their sealing masters and eventually their own Chakura no Kusari techniques."

Naruto then turned to his left and saw one of his ANBU with their iron-straw hat style hat on their heads and dragon mask. The mask figure gave his report. "The supplies from our supply line have been organized and we can push forward towards Kusagakure no Sato and Otokagure no Sato."

The young Uzushiokage nodded and smiled as he got up, he was glad the troops of his were miles from Konoha and camped near Ta no Kuni(land of rice paddies) and close to Kusagakure no Sato.

His forces split up to attack both Hi no Kuni and Oto no Kuni simultaneously. They were then launching large boulders and enhancing them with Wind chakra. Cannons and more Kunai launchers continued to spare no one in the fortresses that defended Oto no Kuni

Orochimaru growled as he looked at his sound five. He was weak because of his old master and using a temporary vassal wasn't enough to battle with till Kabuto returned. Kabuto was on a mission he sent to the Kumo and Iwa for support but they were not responding. He could

Meanwhile, Kusa was just trying to survive. Thousands of their Shinobi were being destroyed faster than they could replace them. Mercenaries that oto gave them were being killed and their high priced samurai mercenaries were being destroyed by cannons and Uzu Shinobi sending their jutsus in formations. The Uzumaki Chakura no Kusari technique was formidable against Kusa Plant jutsu.

30,000 Uzu vs 50,000 Kusa samurai mercenaries. Outskirts of Kusakagure.

They were fifty wealthy lords in Kusa and thanks to the underworld connections that Kusa employed made recruiting a large army possible. Uzu was about 10,000 Shinobi with five thousand going to Oto and another five thousand to Kusa.

The samurai battle was another standard one. Thousands of long spears sending thrusts and arrows laced with water and fire chakra. Uzu samurai used Fuinjutsu in a way of a samurai where their blades were hardened and against the armor of their enemies. They also included tier 2 seals on their armor. Thousands of samurai were skilled in sealing techniques. They would absorb attacks and destroy enemies with a way to break weapons and absorb chakra and send it back at them.

-Days later- Flashback ends -

While in Inner lands of land of rice Paddies to the main village of Otokagure.

Naruto was above the mountain looking towards the Kannabi Bridge that was destroyed in the previous wars…

He was trying to hunt Sasuke since he knew that the Uchiha wouldn't let the defeat stop him. His forces continued marching toward the village of Otogakure. Passing by another three more fortresses. Each fortress was hard on his troops as Orochimaru's different experiments were all in them.

-Days later- outskirts of Otogakure

Thousands of Uzu Shinobi were launching cannons and Kunai volleys from the Kunai launchers. From the intelligence reports to him these new weapons were working. "These new siege weapons work well in Hi no Kuni and now they work so well here when trying to snuff Orochimaru out."

"Yuki no Kuni made them and now all lands make them. Samurai armies often use shields for countering them but they do cause carnage…"Naruto said, making his guardian look at him. "What?!"

"You sounded like you were paying attention to the briefings…"

"Why you…" Naruto then showed his troops why he's a prankster by kicking his guardian off the platform they were using made from earth chakra into a bunch of mud. "I was paying attention to that…!"

His guardian got up and was covered in mud as he spit it out a bit. "Now don't ever think I don't pay attention to important stuff…again…or next time you'll be cleaning toilets…in the guardian tower. I still haven't forgiven you for almost losing to that Teme..."

-Flashback- #2-

"Now where is he?" His Haori with the Dragon in a Uzumaki swirl on the back. The Haori only belonged to the guardians laced with chakra within the fabric to protect against jutsus.

He had taken out a few mercenaries and Oto Shinobi and now he moved quickly through the trees. He was sending a burst of chakra to send a pulse to search for his target.

Akira was hunting for Sasuke Uchiha. He looked at the upcoming field that Sasuke was last reported on till a beam of lightning appeared by him causing him to send seals to his blade and blocked and moved fast as a Chidori Eisō was sent at him and then he made a barrier as Sasuke glared at him while doing handsigns. A large fireball was sent at him as Akira stabbed his blade to the ground blocking the fireball absorbing it into his Fuinjutsu barrier. He scoffed at the Uchiha. "You Uchiha are impressive with your Fire release. I was supposed to be looking for you…"

"You are the Dope's strongest so if I defeat you then I can prove that Naruto is still a loser even if he's a Kage. Orochimaru sensed a powerful chakra signature following our forces and suspected it to be Naruto but your better…to test my skills than the dope…I am the current Otokage at the moment than Orochimaru…" Akira was growling at his Kage being called a dope or a loser and smirked as he then started sending chakra to his blade after absorbing the large amount of chakra into his blade Sandai Kitetsu. He unleashed a large water cannon like wave from a slash from a nearby lake and then manipulated it into a large amount of water dragons. The Kitetsu was a cursed blade of water that cursed the user with a curse that binds to their soul with a more combat high. It may give the user a way to control Water as well as the Second Hokage with this blade but the blade had its own soul.

Sasuke's eyes became wide eyed. He didn't see that amount of elemental manipulation coming and moved fast and then sent Chidori Senbon through the water to try his luck in landing a hit or two if the lighting went through at the Uzu Four Guardian member which caused Akira to be hit one or two times hitting his armor. His armor which was laced with chakra Fuinjutsu seals that can absorb chakra jutsu attacks to keep him from being damaged too severely made those attempts useless. It was experimental and this war was a way to test them for the future of Shinobi armor which was becoming common. It would seem Flak jackets were becoming obsolete.

Sasuke didn't let up. He sent Kunai in all directions around the guardian while the water dragons headed towards him. He unleashed Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu the flames extended and let the wires guide the flames at the Guardian. Akira used a substitute jutsu and then let the wood explode with seals which absorbed the flames which had chakra. He didn't let up as he summoned shadow clones and charged at Sasuke. The Guardian was a skilled Swordsman and the Uchiha using his Sharingan to counter with his own blade. It became full of Kenjutsu in seconds.

The constant clanging continued for a few seconds which turned to minutes. The two even sent Kunai whenever their chance presented itself.

Sasuke was getting frustrated and before Akira could realize it. A nightmarish Genjutsu was on Akira but saw the Uchiha's eyes. He stabbed himself with a Kunai and then was breathing heavily as Sasuke charged with his Sharingan Blaring. Akira knew that the Uchiha was skilled and before he could control more water around him. Sasuke already had a Chidori in his hand and charged at him.

As the seconds neared to Akira, Akira was charging with his blade sheathed and the Fuinjutsu seals glowing to take on even a jutsu for defense. The guardian already started another series of one handed handsigns as his blade was in one of his hands.

"Suiton: Suidan no Jutsu!"

After kneading chakra in his stomach, the guardian member expels a large quantity of water in the form of a powerful torrent aimed towards Sasuke who swerved having saw the attack coming and even copying the attack. Sasuke has then sent a Chidori through the guardian but the Guardian member had turned into water revealing itself to be a Water Clone. "Your impressive Uchiha and I kinda see how you live up to the Uchiha name and reason for the fearsome reputation but Itachi was indeed better…" He wasn't present with Itachi facing off with Naruto and Rokuro but knew Itachi lost to the future Kage at the time.

Sasuke growled and said nothing. He knew that the Uzumaki were indeed strong and to think that this powerful Shinobi was under a loser like Naruto was hurting the Uchiha's pride.

Akira didn't think he'd have to go all out but he was facing a Uchiha and According to his own kage. Sasuke was somewhat of a prodigy. Naruto only mentioned that he couldn't think about how Sasuke often was just an Empty husk since Itachi massacred the Uchiha clan. Sasuke was also influenced by his emotions more often than he'd admit. He continued a series of his handsigns then gathered chakra.

"Suiton: Bakusui Shōha!"

Akira spits out a great volume of water from their mouth, attempting to swallow up and crushing the Uchiha with the advancing surge of water. Akira would ride the wave, allowing him to move at high speed attempting to enhance his attack with a Horizontal slash in a reversed grip with his blade out like a claw swiping, and attack Sasuke,now swept off his feet. The amount of water created is proportional to the amount of chakra used; when used with Uzumaki clan's enormous chakra, even a dry wasteland can become a small ocean. Afterwards, the excess water can be used for additional Water Release techniques.

Sasuke, using his sharingan, would leap and use his chakra onto the water. Akira already was on the attack using his basic talent for water manipulation similar to that of the 2nd Hokage. Akira didn't even try to do a series of handsigns as Sasuke leapt.

"Suiton: Suigadan!"

Akira forms projectiles underwater taking full advantage of the full water field advantage; the water that the projectiles are made of is highly pressured because of how compact they are. The projectiles are then shot from the water at high speeds at Sasuke, which can be made more lethal by adding a spinning motion.

Sasuke had then continued to leap backwards as more projectiles continued to target him and he retained his composure. He uses his chokuto blade to then parry and before either of them could realize, it was switched into a Kenjutsu match. Akira was using his Kitetsu blade like a master that he was and while Sasuke still had his blade enhanced with Lightning Release. Akira's blade was enhanced with fuinjutsu seals that can easily deflect it. Akira was as well as Sasuke getting tired and losing stamina. He may have been a skilled master swordsman and Shinobi. Being S rank doesn't mean he's going to be running out of stamina. The high level techniques made things difficult taking his chakra reserves to the limit on trying to establish a battlefield.

Sasuke charged with a Chidori and knew that Akira wouldn't be able to keep replacing himself with water clone after water clone. After the fifth and sixth water clone, Akira knew he was running out of chakra. He then gasps as he tilted and swerved his body as a large probably previously folded Fuma windmill style shuriken heading for him had skimmed past him at blinding speed being laced with lightning chakra.

Akira had used a barrier to his back, having pressed his foot when Sasuke pulled the wire in force and tried to stab the Four Guardian member in the back using the wire.

"Why do you serve the loser and dope like Naruto…"

"You're asking that now?" Akira had turned himself around, slashing at the still spinning Large shuriken and cutting through it like butter. "He's a kage that I can follow and by far the most powerful Shinobi I have ever seen. He belongs to the main branch after all."

"What are you talking about?"

"Oh orochimaru never told you?"

"The Uzumaki clan before they were attacked. They were a fearsome clan of Fuinjutsu masters and still are today. Orochimaru tried to steal our secrets for his forbidden jutsus but we kept our really important secrets away from the snake bastard. The casualties of the three villages that attacked us were entirely enough to wipe us out. You Uchiha think you were so powerful when I know my ancestor was indeed as good as the Senju and the Uchiha. Honestly he could've taken on both Hashirama and Madara easily." Sasuke scoffed at not believing such lies.

"You really don't know about the Uzumaki Clan, our last elder lived for over 100 years and it was because of her that the other villages feared our power. Why would they want to form an alliance against our village if they weren't scared of something of ours which was our Fuinjutsu, and Konoha had no way to help us."

Sasuke growled, still not believing it. He knew that the Uchiha will always be superior with their dojutsu and after he kills Itachi then he would revive his clan and show the Uzumaki which clan was superior.

'Naruto comes from such a powerful clan? As if…' he'd never acknowledge the dope and never will. He gathered chakra and then charged.

Naruto along with some elite guards were heading to the scene of large chakra presence. Naruto had then stopped and smirked as Sasuke seemed to be losing and then leaped. "Uzushiokage-sama?"

"I don't like getting in the way when my guardians fight…"

Naruto then chilled in the tree while the other elite soldiers watched. "Send the rest of our forces forward. I may have rushed this campaign but that's only because we have other matters to attend too than Konoha…now let's go save one of my guardians, it seems that Sasuke-teme caught him off guard…"

Naruto along with the ANBU disappears in a swirl of Fire and Water dragons.

(Instead of leaves just picture water and fire dragons swirling around them in a second)

Sasuke sent another chidori Nagashi but Akira dodged and moved fast to dodge. He was getting kinda annoyed and wondering if he should get serious. He had a chakra seal on his Haori and if he takes it off then he will let all his chakra which can be four or five tails of a actual tailed beast from what Naruto could say.

He's been barely using two tails against the Uchiha and before he could ponder more. The Uchiha swiped at his blade which clang in vibration. It was at that moment he was sent flying from a kick and the guardian member swerved on his hand and spit out some saliva and then spun in slow motion in the air using his hands as a base of balance spinning like a top with his sword in his mouth. He used water manipulation to create octopus tentacles but he saw his Uzushiokage appear with a look that was telling. 'You are getting scolded later.'

"I can't believe you are being beaten…I'm taking over…" Naruto said with authority as the Guardian nodded or tried too while having been stunned from the lightning jutsu earlier.

-Flashback ends- present time

The Uzushiokage was looking at the sky and glad that the campaign was quick. The game was that his focus was on the current situation that was happening in Sunakagure and the situation with the Sky Shinobi. He wanted to recruit them to be a new way to patrol from all ways of travel. If he can add the Sky then he knew his emperor and his own people would be ok with it but he needed to get rid of the guy putting ideas in violence.

"Naruto-sama…"

"What is it?"

"Why are seventeen clones in the office?"

"Because I wanted to really get a good nap…" He's been really having nice naps lately. He wanted to solely get his unlimited amount of clones for his village. Naruto first had his clones get through his paperwork. The next was his training. He then went on to just relax. His campaign on Orochimaru was quick in his opinion. Honestly, his troops were just that powerful.

Training-

Thousands of students around Uzu did almost the same training unless they were in certain clans In uzushiokagure.

Little attacks of jutsus ranging from D-C rank were thrown at dummies. There was students on top of large tall trees. Some were practicing with swords with special Fuinjutsu seals that flowed with chakra and glowed when the person hit a vital spot. It would be that Uzu was by far most powerful from this elite training from just academy to Genin. Genin were given D to C rank missions against Bandits and training to kill or capture bandits or thieves in the village.

They would be also trained in survival and rescue operations as well as fire suppression operations throughout the village. Uzumaki clan members were also just terrible in the kitchen which resulted in a lot of fires.

There was also a number of tactics which was repelling invasion forces and intruders.

"Ok, you lot, what is the plan "Alpha Dragon"?"

"Yes Jiko?" The academy sensei said, calling on a student with red hair and two swords on his back. "All ANBU ignite all seals that are allowed and monitor any anomalies while the main village has all their gates closed and traders to merchants are searched. There's also the part where all citizens are to go into their houses and activate their defense seals which will only allow people with seals of the Uzumaki clan."

The sensei nodded. "Good and does anyone know what Code Delta Dragon is?"

"The village is to mobilize any defense forces and also Shinobi are to use the Kunai turrets that are armored plated to protect the village against any foreign Shinobi troops." A boy said after the sensei called on him, making the sensei smile.

"Good and Code Omega Dragon?" He nodded at a girl who raised her hand. "Nojiko."

"The Navy is mobilized with Jounin and Chuunin ready for war across the main and sub villages."

"Now today I will talk about Code Dragon Bravo which is the last of the codes which means the village will now be at war and prepare all food rations and supplies by when you are all Genin. Kunai and other weaponry are to be sharpened and blacksmiths to weaponsmiths are to have weapons ready for all Shinobi forces of 100,000 all across all sub villages and main village. They are sent also towards wherever Uzushiokage orders it.

He continued to further explain. "They are to report to their commanders and generals. Shinobi generals were the new concept for the world. They were as strong as the Kage but not the same as they served the Kage as leaders of the fortress sub villages to the main now six major great Shinobi villages."

The Generals were protectors of the country and if they betrayed the Kage then they would be killed by seals placed on them. The powerful Shinobi could as well be a hindrance which is why getting the rank of Shinobi general could only be given to the most powerful S rank Shinobi that are as strong as even Naruto. For Uzu the guardians were the anomaly as they outranked Shinobi generals and were second of the Uzushiokage.

Naruto was by the classroom as the sensei continued to teach and explain. He didn't really understand honestly when his council wanted to make codes for war but knew that it was necessary. However, they made things easier when Kumo sent an armada of ships at them.

-Months ago-Flashback- Uzu no Kuni waters and sea territory near the coast

-Former Yu no Kun-(land of hot water)

Thousands of cannons opened fire on the water the Uzu swirl was clear as day on the

Panokseon was the name of the type of ship with some destruction capability of Shinobi.

Navies were split between the Uzu no Kuni and Uzushiokagure. The Samurai fleet were the standard ships

The panokseon therefore had two masts by default, and possessed sufficient crew such that their position and angle could easily be managed so that the sails could be used in all winds, whether adverse or favorable.

Panokseons had two to three levels stacked up on top of each other. By having multiple levels the rowers at the bottom were relatively safe, and marines at the top would have a height advantage over the enemy, firing down upon them and avoiding boarding of the ship. The upper deck had a tower in the middle of the ship that would be used for command and observation. The deck of the panokseon was broad and flat, making it ideal for the installation of cannons.

Panokseons came in different sizes; the largest vessels estimated to range between 70 feet (21 m) and 100 feet (30 m) in length. Other sources indicate that the variation in size was greater, from 50 feet (15 m) to 110 feet (34 m). The ship usually had 8 to 10 oars on each side, 50 to 60 oarsmen and sailors and another 125 marines (i.e. fighting men).

The Shinobi often was able to just leap off the ships and use their chakra on the water which made things great for repairs so samurai for the country often hired them for that purpose.

If the samurai could control their chakra then they could walk on water too. The towers for Shinobi ships were laced with traps and Kunai launchers aimed to take out rowing corps and sails. From the amount of population in the world and the people who live in forests that grew them more and more. Thousands to millions of ships were made in the years forward. These large wooden ships became the representation of a nation's strength. Uzu no Kuni and Mizu no Kuni often dealt with pirates and now they had to deal with nations as Kumo and Iwa were on the hunt for Naruto.

Kumo and Uzu had a fleet of 35,000 ships. They were split into 7 fleets of ships. 3 fleets were heading for Uzu and they were being ambushed since Naruto also used the currents and Wind chakra to enhance his ships. He used the natural whirlpools around the islands of Uzu no Kuni as a way to block fleets. No one knew of the defense jutsus placed by the ancestors of Uzu to protect the islands were massive whirlpools that were natural but also not natural since they were constantly moving and evenly spaced apart like a whole wall on the sea by whirlpools.

The new wall that Naruto made using multiple layers of earth chakra and Naruto was not taking chances and made history of the Shinobi world. Using multiple Uzumaki and former Iwa Shinobi. He created a long line of walls outside the water lacing them with seals and iron as well as cannons creating a huge great sea wall all around Uzu islands not leaving any spot open. The next set of walls was around The Hagi and O'uzu islands. No one was able to get into the main islands of Empire of Uzu no Kuni. Having been invaded by three major villages expanded their influence to buff their defenses to the max.

Making massive fortress wall all along the whole island and their new territories shocked the world of the power of the reborn Uzumaki clan and Empire of Uzu no Kuni. Either way the cannons and weapons manned by Shinobi and samurai alike connected by steel tunnels with the advanced air system of Haru no Kuni made things easier to return to the surface.

When Kumo invaded with their armada they revealed the walls and the world knew that things were no longer the same with Uzu no Kuni.

Kumo was in full battle with Uzu Shinobi naval forces and from on top of the sea above the water standing on it while using chakra.

-Flashback Ends-

Present time- After the Invasion-

Naruto had wandered again and entered the hospital. It was one of the things that made Naruto, Naruto. He smiled as he saw nurses and medical Shinobi helping the injured. He didn't stop from staring and just started going to each Shinobi. He thanks them and listens to their story. He doesn't even stop there.

Sakura-chan happened to be nearby and saw a patch of blond pass by her with an injured Shinobi on his shoulder. He then led the man inside. He was wounded in the arm with a Kunai shot and the leg. Naruto smiled at the Shinobi Jounin under his command. "My lord, you didn't need to help me, I can move on my own…"

Naruto smirked at him. "Nope you need help from helping me free my old home so I'll help you…"

Sakura-chan watched him and smiled a bit. "He's changed…"

"What are you talking about?"

Sakura turned to a nurse who answered the pinkette. "He pushes himself more than you know…he is the last to be asleep and you know that he spreads his unlimited clones to help the injured. He doesn't even leave the dead behind. We also see him talking with former Shinobi and also he learns from the Jounin commanders and listens to the current Chuunin…"

Another medical Shinobi walked in towards Sakura. "We sometimes laugh when the ANBU doesn't know who to bring home cause he falls asleep by a injured Shinobi or babysitting a Genin or even some academy students but he spread his Kage Bushin everywhere…"

Naruto turned to them. "Hey! You three get back to work! There's going to be more injured soon and the sub villages are already overwhelmed back across the ocean. They will be sending more injured people here!"

Naruto then stretches after he helps the nurse with another injured Shinobi who had lost his leg. Naruto taps his chin and then snaps his fingers as if remembering something and disappears in a yellow flash.

"Did Naruto-Kun just teleport?"

"You don't know Hiraishin no Jutsu?" The medical Shinobi asked the pinkette.

Sakura responded with a confusing look never having heard of such a technique besides from…"Hiraishin no Jutsu?"

"Yea it's Naruto-sama technique from his father, he learned it just around the time he became a Jounin commander." Sakura-chan was wide eyed, realizing the identity of Naruto's father.

"You mean…Naruto-Kun's father is…" She started while most of the medical staff was looking at her like she was like a dense child. "You really didn't know? And you wanted to come here?"

"But…" The medical Jounin sighed. They were all looking at Naruto who flashed back in who was smiling while his Haori flapped with a box of sweets. In his clone's hand had a bento box as well as some letters in a box. "The people of Uzu don't love Naruto because of that, it's because he is surpassing the legacy of the Yondaime Hokage ten fold…"

Naruto looked at them, sensing them. "Hey Sakura! And the rest of you get back to work! I mean it this time! I can't use medical jutsus that well so get going!"

The nurses,medical Shinobi and Sakura-chan all scrambled to fulfill his orders as more patients were coming in from the ships that were still bringing people from Hi no Kuni and Oto no Kuni. The next batch of soldiers and Shinobi were heading out and then Konoha and Hi no Kuni samurai will take over once all the lords and sub villages are rebuilt for Konoha.
