It's much more confusing to see something massive unfold with the eyes of someone that hardly knew much about the 'family'.

To Hashladun, the current events felt more like a headache. Her great-grandpa got kidnapped, then he freed himself and... now he brought to the fold her grandaunt plus her uncle and aunties, and several other individuals once making part of the Hive. A third of it to some extent.

While she was a bit dumb in that aspect of things (or 'ignorant' as her uncle tended to correct her with), she could perceive why people were slightly unnerved. The Hive was bathed in Darkness, and Hashladun had seen that herself. It was unpleasant, filthy- it was completely insignificant compared to the Light. The Light, albeit boring at times, was cool. It made her warm and fuzzy inside in a good way. It gave her a nice purpose, it made her own unique self stand out as something that fit in a true 'melting pot of ideas and people'.

That's how her great-grandpa called it. She may not be utterly close to him, but Hash liked her Great-Grandpa. He wasn't pushy about familial relationships, but he wouldn't shy away from checking on her from time to time. It was nice, her family was nice-

And now, this was going to change as a big slice of the 'lost' was now back. Was this good? Some of the Harmony and the newer generations of the Federation was keen to believe so. The old guard, the surviving Krill in particular, were keen to be opposed to this situation despite both Great-Grandpa and the Traveler promising that the former members of the Darkness could be redeemed.

It was a tense thing, and... Hashladun found the politics boring. She was a big girl, but she didn't like to deal with the whinings of people about formality. She was a warrior! She would seek the battle, the thrill of devastation... all in the name of helping others, of course.

So, rather than just stick to a side or another out of hearsay and whatnot, Hash decided that the best way to tackle this topic was to approach the source of the disturbance. And she did so alone. From her understanding of what Uncle Nokris told her about, the 'lost' family was currently recovering in one of the temples.

The process of being blessed in Light was never the same for all. Some would suffer a lot due to long-term exposure to Darkness that may be personal or generational, others would not deal with any pain due to a lesser exposure and a general lack of 'permanent' and lingering effects of the darkness.

She had been told they were all holed in one of the temples right near Nokris' own institution, thus leaving the door of personally visiting the bunch well within Hash's own abilities. And as she finished her chores, her lectures, training and fixed her room, the young Light Kril took a vehicle and went to see the rest of her family herself.

Guards had been posted all over to prevent any trouble to arise, yet Hash's worry of not being allowed in was squashed when those soldiers garrisoning the frontal entrance confirmed she was authorized to go in. With a wide grin, the young one ventured into the temple and she was instantly faced with numerous green eyes similar to hers turning to her. Many were just walking about, reading and talking, but the attention of so many was now on her.

Hash was well aware she stood out from numerous people, she never realized she was going to stand out so much in that temple. Her armor was bright, her weapons, albeit deactivated, were visible... yeah, this was a bit awkward. But no issue came from that.

No, things went just as smoothly until she had a genuine reason to feel nervous.

No one had told her how big her grandaunts and her grandfather were meant to be. So, when she found Xi Ro in the largest room available, the size of the former 'God of War' had her somewhat nervous. Hash was not the kind of female that felt initimated by size, but Xi Ro was big in a threatening way. It wasn't big to be slow or big to be sloppy. It was proportionally balanced and meant to create a vicious and ruthless war machine.

One that was currently resting in what looked to be a resting bed or a table of sort. An altar? Nah, Uncle Nokris would flip a lot at that possibility. Nonetheless, the eyes owned by this behemoth were not as vicious and ruthless as she had expected. Xi Ro's gaze could be summarized as: calm, curious, tired, weak and yet holding tough.

It was a curious mix- it reminded Hashladun of the many times she had to 'be strong' when she was sick during her first years into the Light. Still, it was different. There was experience, preparations and... pure pleasure driven by comfort that tempered the gaze into something positive.

'And who are you, little one? A servant of Nokris perhaps?'

'I am no servant to Uncle Nokris, Grauntie!' Hash rebuked strongly, her response stunning Xi Ro but drawing a lot of heat on her as many of those of her clan became a bit hostile towards her. 'I bet Great-Grandpa told you about me!'

There was a lengthy pause after this, with Xi Ro lost in her thoughts, seemingly unfazed by the overall situation as she contemplated these words and... then she blinked in realization.

'Hashladun, my grandniece through Crota, son of Oryx.'

'Yep. I came to visit and see how you were doing, Grauntie. How are you?'

'Well, just... sore,' Xi Ro assured and then hummed. 'But, pray tell, where did this interest in using informality comes from? Your uncle is definitely more respectful in that aspect.'

'Great-Grandpa said that we are family, so why should I treat family with formality, Grauntie?'

An amused sigh left Xi Ro's mouth. 'True, my apologies for doubting that, young Hash.'

'Bah, it's alright, Grauntie. Plus, you are also tired so you are not thinking at full capacity yet.'

Xi Ro nodded and smiled.

'Still, I can't stay for long. I have to prepare for the War Games competition and I really want to win these,' Hashladun remarked, then appeared curious. 'Did you hear of those?'

'It is like a... sport? War simulated as a game, with realistic drones and all of that.'

Hashladun nodded, 'Yup, I thought it would be boring but it's super-cool. There's those teams that are drilled regularly like soldiers and they are so fast with their tasks. It can be frustrating but I am the strongest!'

'Perhaps I will try and see those just to see how you fare, young Hashladun.'

'Then I will have to train harder to not disappoint. It was fun to finally meet you, Grauntie Xi Ro.'

The pleased smile manifested by Xi Ro stirred a degree of delight in Hashladun. And the Light Krill soon left, beaming through her way out of the temple.

...

...

As soon as Hashladun was out of sight, Xi Ro turned her gaze to her children, the quartet having witnessed the exchange with a degree of mirth.

'Once this is all settled, I expect you three to find mates and give me grandchildren.'

The four looked stunned by this proclamation.

'M-Mother!' Xavan exclaimed, shocked by these words.

Yet, Xi Ro was serious about it. She had experienced a degree of pride in finding a degree of herself within the tiny form that was Hashladun, there was no way she was going to dodge the chance to get herself some mini-Aurash and mini-Sathona to spoil rotten as it was fair for a grandparent to do with their grandchildren.

Small silly plans, she confessed, but worthy of a woman that was willing to pursue... peace of self.

AN

Hashladun is kind of the 'lightcore delinquent/tomboy' girl that has a super-cool soldier Grauntie that favors her a bit.
