6 MONTHS LATER

"Breakfast's ready!" Julia said to her husband.

Julia was preparing breakfast for her family with her young step-brother-in-law by her side, helping her.

"YAY! BREAKFAST!", William, now 11, was running down the stairs to a delightful smell coming from the dining room.

His younger brother, Arthur, was right behind him. Julia was tidying up the kitchen, with a visible baby bump and Lance were moving all the dishes from the counter to the table. Lysandre was already sitting down looking at his beautiful wife.

The family enjoyed a casual breakfast.

"So, William, how has school been?" Julia asked her stepson.

"It's okay, I guess. Some of my friends were being complete jerks so, I showed them Hound a little."

"Nice" Lysandre said, looking at his son.

Julia stared at her husband and son, with a look of worry and a little bit of confusement.

"So, you let them play with Hound?" Julia asked, with a slight tremble in her voice.

"I guess you can put it that way," William stated with a shrug and a chuckle.

"So big brother, when I become 10, what Pokémon do you think I should catch first?" Arthur asked his big brother.

"Hmm, I don't know. I guess that's up to you." William told his younger brother.

The family all ended up conversing with each other. The table was noisy with chatter and chuckles. Except Lance, who was on the corner of the table, eating his food in silence.

"So, Lance, what Pokémon do you want to catch when you grow up?" Julia asked Lance from the other side of the table.

The rest of the table suddenly went silent. They were all looking at Julia and then Lance and back again.

"M- m- me?" Lance said, with the biggest shock out of everyone.

"Hahaha, that's funny, he doesn't want to be a trainer, sweetheart," said Lysandre to his wife.

William and Arthur were laughing as well but, Lance seems to be deep in thought. Julia was confused.

"Is that true, Lance?" Julia asked.

The rest of the family were now looking at Lance intensely as though daring him to answer.

"N-no, I-I w-want to b-become a t-trainer," Lance said trembling, his face terrified of everyone else.

Julia smiled and exclaimed, "that's nice".

THE NEXT DAY…

"Hey guys! I'm just gonna grab some groceries real quick, alright?" Julia shouted from in front of the door, her hand holding a purse.

"Okay, take your time, hun," Lysandre said, coming down the stairs.

"Byee!" Julia said while walking out the door and closing it behind her.

Her footsteps could be heard getting softer and softer until it couldn't be heard from inside the house anymore.

At that time, "LANCE!" Lysandre called out to his brother.

"Ye-Yes? L-Lysand-Lysandre?" Lance, coming out of his room, and going down the stairs slowly, terrified at what his brother would do.

"FOLLOW ME," Lysandre grabbed his brother by the collar and dragged him to the garden.

"We TOLD you to BE QUIET and to NEVER say a SINGLE WORD in this house. Those were the CONDITIONS for you to STAY here. REMEMBER?" Lysandre shouted.

"Y-yes bu-but she as-asked m-me. I-It would b-be rude t-to not an-answer." Lance said, stuttering in a small voice.

"I'm back!" Julia said, the rest of the family already sitting down in the Living Room.

Her hands were holding two big plastic bags filled with various groceries.

"Lance, help her out," Lysandre called out.

Lance ran to the front of the door to grab the grocery bags out of her hands but, Julia refused.

"Oh no, it's okay, I can handle this much," Julia said.

But Lance kept tugging the bags that Julia had to unwillingly let it go. Lance then brought the bags to the table and started unpacking everything.

"Do you want me to help you?" Julia asked.

But the one who answered was not Lance but, Lysandre instead, "He can handle it. Come on, you should rest."

Julia kept looking at the young boy who was now organizing everything and putting them in the proper shelves. But Lysandre kept pulling her and telling her to sit down in the couch where William and Arthur were already sitting and watching the news.

The sound of the reporter from the television were heard all throughout the room, "It has been approximately 6 months since the mysterious Salamence trainer has mysteriously disappeared without a trace. For those of you who don't know, the mysterious Salamence trainer is a trainer who worked for the Pokémon G-Men, is an incredibly skilled Pokémon trainer with power to rival those of Elite Fours and Champions. She is known for her kindness and compassion towards Pokémon as well as her passion in catching villains all around the world. She is also quite known for challenging the regional champion to an unofficial battle in which she emerged as the victor but has always refused the title of Champion. Many people cheer for this trainer as she tries her best to make the world a better place. However, 6 months ago, the Pokémon G-Men stated that she handed in a letter of resignation very unexpectedly and disappeared to who knows where. Unfortunately, no one knows, her real name or her face as she always goes around using her Salemence-themed outfit as well as mask. She goes by the alias of Celia which both her and the Pokémon G-Men insist is only an alias and is not her real name."

Julia was now concentrating on the screen. She has not told her family about the truth about her identity. She did not tell them that the 'Celia' on screen was in fact, her. She got nervous and looked at her family. They all seemed to be relaxed though.

"Cool, a secret agent went missing for 6 months. Do you know anything about her, dad? Have you ever crossed paths with her?"

Julia looked surprised and stared at her husband, "Is there a reason you may have crossed paths with her?"

"*cough* No… What are you talking about, William?" Lysandre answered, looking a bit… nervous?

Little did Julia know; she was not the only one keeping a secret. Soon after, Lance was finished tidying up and went back to join the group. At this point, William invited Arthur to play in his room so, they left, leaving three people in the living room.

"I'm going to stop by the Pokémon Center for a bit. There's something I must do," said Lysandre to the rest.

"Okay, come back soon!" Julia exclaimed behind him.

Lance and Julia were now alone in the living room, the room seemed to be a bit awkward.

"So, Lance, what's been going down with you?" Julia asked, trying to make the atmosphere slightly friendlier.

Lance looked nervous, not answering anything.

"Lance?" Julia asked once more, this time noticing a new bruise on Lance's forehead that she had not seen before.

"Why don't we go to the garden?" Julia asked, leading him to the door that leads to the garden.

Lance nodded and followed her, still not saying anything. Julia was experienced with Pokémon that were scared to open themselves up. At those times, she would have to show that she was not an enemy, that she wants to help. Hence, that's what she tried to do with Lance.

"Hey Sally! This is a friend of mine, his name is Lance," Julia said to her Salamence that was sitting on the garden.

"Sal." Salamence got closer to Lance.

He still seemed worried but, he wasn't scared. He wasn't running away. Salamence took that as a sign to get even closer nearly touching her head to his hand. Lance looked at Julia, who nodded at him, and Lance reached out his hand.

"Looks like Sally likes you," Julia smiled.

"Yo-You're the m-mysterious Salamence tr-trainer, right?" Lance was talking, but still stuttering, although less than last time he talked, probably because of how no one else was there.

"How did you know?" Julia asked, very surprised at the usually quiet boy.

"It's kind of obvious, with how you look when you were on the news, what you asked to Lysandre, your Salamence," Lance answered, now petting Sally and no longer stuttering.

Julia was amused at the boy for being able to notice those details as well as the fact that he was no longer stuttering.

"So, looks like Sally likes you and trusts you and so do I. I trust you can keep this a secret between us." Julia said, slowly.

"Of course."

"So, you can trust me with your secrets too, it'll be just between us."

At these words, Lance stopped, and looked away from Sally towards Julia. He was surprised, she was the first person in this house to say those words, "you can trust me".

With his eyes getting watery, Lance was touched, and nodded.

Hey guys! If anyone is still reading this, I am very grateful. However, I don't know if anyone IS reading it. Which is why I've been in a dilemma whether or not to continue this story. If even one person would like me to continue this story please tell me, through a review or a like, anything. If no one wants to see the ending of the story, I guess I just have to give up on it and do another story instead...
