Bing! Bam! Boom!
It was a peaceful day at Berk, Hiccup was at the edge of a cliff working in a new invention in company of Toothless, it was some kind of red trumpet
"That should do it" Hiccup said before looking at Toothless "So, what do you think?"
Toothless was just lying on the ground not looking too interested
"Ah, you're waiting until you see it work, I can work with that" Hiccup said before a roar was heard, so he turned around and saw Stoick and Thornado flying towards him
"Hiccup, are you up here? Thornado and I were very busy observing the village and-" Stoick stopped when he saw Hiccup's invention "What in the name of Thor is that contraption?"
"I call it: The Thunder Ear" Hiccup said "It can track dragon sounds from miles away and hopefully that includes our Screaming Death friend. You're just in time to see me demonstrate"
"Alright, demonstrate away" Stoick said
"Okay, now put your ear up to this" Hiccup said, so Stoick put his hear at the end "Toothless, plasma blast"
Toothless shot at plasma blast at the sky that was seen by Fishlegs and Blake who were miles away at the sea
"That's the signal, Fishlegs, are you ready?" Blake asked
"More than ready" Fishelgs said before looking at Meatlug "You remember the song, what am I saying? sure you do"
When I've got my axe
And I've got my mace
And a lovely wife with the ugly face
I'm a Viking through and through!
Fishlegs said just before Thunder roared
Back at Berk, the roar took Stoick by surprise, so he gave a few steps backwards
"Alright, Fishlegs, Blake, you and your dragons come out from wherever you're hiding" Stoick said as he looked at Hiccup who was chuckling "Verry funny, jokes on the chief"
"Dad, it's not a joke, look" Hiccup said as he gave Stoick his spyglass
Stoick looked through it and realized Fishlegs and Blake with their dragons were wiles away
When I've got my club
And I've got my bludgeon
And sixty Berserkers locked in my dungeon
I'm a Viking through and through!
Fishlegs sang, followed by another roar from Thunder, so Stoick pulled his head away before looking at Hiccup
"I think we could use this to hear enemy ships approaching as well. That Thunder Ear gets the chiefs seal of a-" Stoick stopped when he heard something else "Hang on… it that-?"
At the docks, Gobber was walking with another Vikings about Stoick
"Stoick, ah, he'd be lost without me, I'm his right-hook man" Gobber said "Og course, he'd never admit it and if you repeat this, I'll deny I was ever here"
"Right-hook man, huh" Stoick muttered before he heard something else from the Thunder Ear but he quickly pulled his head away "You can signal them to stop? I don't know what's worse, Fishlegs singing, Meatlug singing or Thunder's roars"
"Uh, that's not Fishlegs or Thunder" Hiccup said before listening through the Thunder Ear but it only took him a few seconds to pull his head back "Yeah, definitely that's none of them"
"Well, who is it then?" Stoick asked
"Only one way to find out" Hiccup said as he got on Toothless' back
"My thoughts exactly" Stoick said before whistling. Seconds later, Thornado appeared "Would you look at that? I never get tired of seeing that magnificent beast make his entrance"
Minutes later at the sea, Hiccup and Stoick were looking for the source of the sound they heard
"I thought it was coming from out here" Hiccup said
Suddenly, Thornado dived towards some sea stacks but Stoick pulled the reins and stopped him
"Wow, Thornado, I'll do the steering if you don't mind" Stoick said
"No, dad, let him go, I think he hears something" Hiccup said
They quickly arrived at a sea stack which had three Thunderdrum hatchlings, one was blue just like Thornado, another was purple and the last one was green
"Odin's ghost, no wonder Thornado knew where to take us" Stoick said
"But what are they doing all the way out here by themselves?" Hiccup asked
They began to fly towards the Thunderdrum hatchlings but they began to fly around them
"Calm yourselves, I'm chief you know" Stoick said
"Dad, they're just kids, they're playing" Hiccup said
"Well, somebody needs to tell them that playtime is over!" Stoick said as he started to get annoyed
Then, Thornado shot a sonic blast at the Thunderdrum hatchlings, making them settle down
"Well, looks like someone just did" Hiccup said
"I taught him that" Stoick said as he patted Thornado
"I thought I recognized that roar" Hiccup muttered
The Thunderdrum hatchlings flew back to the sea stack and looked at Hiccup and Stoick
"You do have to admit they they're kinda of… well…" Hiccup began
"Cute? Cuddly?" Stoick asked
"I was going to say cool" Hiccup said "And… well, we could-"
"No, no, no, I know what you're thinking and you might as well forget it" Stoick quickly interrupted "There's enough racket on Berk with those twins"
"I guess you're right, I just hope they'll be okay" Hiccup said
"Of course they'll be okay, they're Thunderdrums after all, toughest dragon in the archipelago" Stoick said before they flew back to Berk
When they returned, it was already night, they landed outside of the forge just as Gobber and Blake walked out
"Out for a little father son flight, were we?" Gobber asked
"We were just testing the Thunder Ear" Hiccup said
"And did it work?" Blake asked
"Indeed, it worked. In fact, it worked so well that Gobber is going to be on night watch with the Thunder Ear, all night as a matter of fact" Stoick said
"You know I'd love to, Stoick… really, I would but I'm performing my one Viking spectacle at the Great Hall tonight, and I'm closing with a rousing rendition of the reindeer waltz on the panpipes. It's sublime" Gobber said
"I'm afraid the village will have to do without your panpipes tonight, Gobber, because my 'right hook-man' is going to be doing his duty for his chief, the one who would be nothing with out him" Stoick said before walking away
"Well, it looks like he caught you red handed, huh?" Blake said as he tried to contain his laughter
"Thunder Ear" Hiccup explained
"I've got a different name for it" Gobber said
The next morning, Hiccup was sleeping in his room until he heard a huge noise that made him fell from his bead
"What's happening?" he asked, he quickly got up and ran downstairs where he saw Stoick already awake "What's going on?"
"I was about to ask you the same question" Stoick said
They ran outside and saw the Thunderdrum hatchlings they saw yesterday, they were flying around the island as they shot sonic blasts at everything it sight
"Still think they're cool?" Stoick asked as he glared at Hiccup
"Uh… I'm on the face" Hiccup said as he rubbed the back of his head
"Well, get off it and do something before we have to rebuild the entire village" Stoick said
Meanwhile with the Thunderdrum hatchlings, they landed next to a barrel full of fish and began to eat it, as Fishlegs and Meatlug flew towards them
"Meatlug, look at the little baby Thunderdrums, they are so cute" Fishlegs said as he got off Meatlug's back to hug the Thunderdrum hatchlings but they shot him a sonic blast that sent him flying. Luckily, Meatlug caught him "Thanks, girl"
The blue Thunderdrum curiously looked down the big end of the Thunder Ear before shooting a sonic blast destroying it completely
"Okay guys, fun time is over" Hiccup said as he and Toothless flew after the Thunderdrum hatchlings
Then, they flew down a street where Silent Sven was walking
"Duck, Silent Sven!" Hiccup warned, so Silent Sven jumped to the ground in order to avoid the Thunderdrum hatchlings "Sorry about that, Sven!"
Then, the Thunderdrum hatchlings flew into the forge
"My shop" Gobber said just as Blake and Thunder joined Hiccup
"Sorry about that, I'm trying my best" Hiccup said
"Well, sorry but it doesn't look like it" Blake said as Astrid joined them
"Should I even bother asking what's going on?" She asked
"Out of control baby Thunderdrums" Hiccup said
"And we're the ones who have to help you to keep them under control, right?" Blake asked
"That would be preferred, yes" Hiccup said "Can you help me wrangle them into the academy?" Hiccup asked
"Thought you'll never ask" Astrid said
The three of them tried to catch the Thunderdrum hatchlings but they weren't able to, when they were about to get them, they always found a way to escape
"Wow, they're slippery little guys" Astrid said
"No kidding" Hiccup said as the Thunderdrum hatchlings flew past the twins
"Whoa, what were those things?" Ruffnut asked
"Thay are loud and destructive dragons, we have to stop them" Hiccup said
"Au contraire, we must own them" Tuffnut said
"Immediately" Ruffnut said, so she and Tuffnut flew behind the Thunderdrum hatchlings
Then, each one of them took a different path, but Barf and Belch tried to follow them but they crashed on the ground
Not too far away, Snotlout and Hookfang were cashing the purple Thunderdrum hatchling
"You're all mine" Snotlout said
They followed the Thunderdrum hatchling around the island until they were too close to the water
The Thunderdrum hatchling flew down, so Hookfang dived behind it. However, the Thunderdrum hatchling flew up and Hookfang didn't have enough time to react
"Pull up! Pull up!" Snotlout yelled just before they crashed into the ocean
At the village, Stoick saw everything and sighed "Do I have to do everything myself?" he muttered annoyed
He quickly got on Thornado's back and flew after them, when the Thunderdrum hatchlings were cornered, they tried to shot Thornado a sonic blast but he shot his own sonic blast that made them land without more troubles
"Well done, dad" Hiccup said as he landed
"Look at that, they're putty in Thornado's hand… paws… claws… whatever" Fishlegs said
"I'm pretty sure it's paw" Blake said
"Okay, we want that one" Tuffnut said pointing at the purple Thunderdrum hatchling as he and Ruffnut landed
"No, that one" Ruffnut said pointing at the blue Thunderdrum hatchling
"Such a hard decision… okay, we'll take the set" Tuffnut said
"Quiet!" Stoick yelled before looking at Hiccup "Hiccup, I want you to get those troublemakers off this island now!"
"Okay, we'll go but know this, our mother will miss us" Tuffnut said
"Not you, the dragons" Hiccup said
"Oh, you had me there for a minute, chief, because we're also troublemakers" Tuffnut said
"Dad, don't you think we'll be better off training them?" Hiccup asked "Think about it, they're fast, powerful-"
"Destructive, loud and out of control" Stoick said
"Uh, chief, you're kinda making Hiccup's argument for him" Tuffnut said
"The lad's got a point, Stoick" Gobber said as he walked towards them "A squadron of Thunderdrums would be tough for Dagur and the Berserker to fight against"
Stoick didn't really know what to think, so he holed at Hiccup "You really think you can get them under control, son?" he asked
"I know we can. I mean, look how great Thornado turned out to be" Hiccup said
"Well, he is quite spectacular" Stoick said
"We can do it, chief, please let us try" Fishlegs begged
Stoick thought for a moment before letting escape a sigh "Alright, fine, but the first sign of trouble they go, Thornado isn't their mother or a babysitter. He's got chiefly duties just like I do" he said
"Dad, you won't be sorry, I promise" Hiccup said "I already have a whole plan laid out on how to train them"
Later that day, the teens were at the academy, they were forced to cover their ears because the Thunderdrum hatchlings, were flying around and roaring with no stop
"Okay, now might be a good time to roll out that big plan of yours!" Astrid yelled
"You do have one, don't you?" Blake asked
"Right, right, big plan… uh… okay…" Hiccup said
"Let me guess, you have no plan!" Astrid said
"You're right, that would be correct" Hiccup said
"Why do you always say you've got a plan when you don't even know what you're doing?!" Blake asked a bit annoyed
"Don't you think you better get one before our ears explode?!" Snotlout yelled
"Wait, our ears can actually explode?!" Tuffnut yelled
"Let's see!" Ruffnut said as she pulled Tuffnut to the purple Thunderdrum who was shotting sonic blasts
"Come on, don't encourage them!" Hiccup yelled
"The twins or the Thunderdrums?!" Fishlegs asked
"Neither!" Astrid yelled
"Alright, so… uh… I guess the first thing we should do is name them!" Hiccup said
"No, the first thing we need to do is to get them to shut up!" Snotlout yelled
"Over here!" Fishlegs said giving some dragon nip to the Thunderdrum hatchlings who ate it and seconds later calmed down "Dragon nip, old-school but effective"
"Great, but we can't have them lying around in a haze doing nothing all day" Hiccup said
"Yeah, that's what the twins are for" Snotlout said
"Whoa, whoa, don't judge" Tuffnut said "We already did something today"
"Yeah" Ruffnut said
"Wait, are you serious? What did you do today?" Blake asked
"What did we do?! What did we do?!" Ruffnut asked before looking at Tuffnut not sure of what to say "What did we do?"
"We named them" Tuffnut said
"Oh, this should be good" Astrid said with obvious sarcasm
"Oh, it is" Ruffnut said as she and Tuffnut walked towards the Thunderdrum hatchlings
"Ready?" Tuffnut asked "Now, wait for it. Bing!" he said pointing at the green Thunderdrum "Bam!" he said pointing at the blue Thunderdrum "And… Lloyd" he said pointing at the purple Thunderdrum
All of the other teens just looked at each other before looking at the twins
"Call me crazy but I think there might be a more logical choice than Lloyd" Fishlegs said
"Like what?" Ruffnut asked
"Uh… Boom?" Fishlegs suggested
"Yeah, I guess that can work" Tuffnut said "No way, how about Darren?"
"Sorry, Lloyd" Ruffnut said
"Alright, now that's all taken care of, let's try some actual training" Hiccup said
"Uh… voting is still open on the Lloyd thing, right?" Tuffnut asked, so Hiccup rolled his eyes and walked away "Okay, just checking. Darren is still on the table though?"
A few minutes later, they were ready to start training the Thunderdrum hatchlings, so Hiccup placed his hand on Bam's snout
"Wow, that could have gone far worse" Hiccup said
Then, the three Thunderdrums shot him a sonic blast that sent him flying into Fishlegs who got knocked to the floor, but Toothless jumped and caught Hiccup with his legs
"You mean like that?" Fishlegs asked
"Yep, exactly like that" Hiccup said as he rubbed his back
Then, Astrid tried to make the Thunderdrum hatchlings to stay put
"Stay, stay!" Astrid ordered but the three Thunderdrums ignored her and began to fly around Stomrlfy
"Clearly 'stay' isn't in their vocabulary" Astrid said just before Stormfly angrily tossed them into a wall "Well, that should teach them"
Unfortunately, the Thunderdrum hatchlings flew back over to Stormfly and continued to fly around her
Then, Snotlout placed some target barrels in front of the Thunderdrum hatchlings
"This is what you guys need, something you're supposed to destroy" Snotlout said before looking at Hookfang "Hookfang, show them how it's done"
Hookfang shot a fire blast at a barrel destroying it, so Snotlout placed another barrel. However, the three Thunderdrums didn't do anything
"Right here you Thunderdooms!" Snotlout said angrily as he walked towards them "Do I need to spell it out for you? Destroy!"
The Thunderdrum hatchlings shot him a sonic blast slamming him into the barrels
Then, Fishlegs got armed with a sword and a shield
"Okay I'm going to show how to disarm an attack" Fishlegs said but Bing quickly grabbed the sword and flew off
Fishlegs began to follow him but the three Thunderdrums began to toss the sword to each other, not allowing Fishlegs to get it
"Come on, guys, this is not the exercise" Fishlegs said just as they tossed the sword to Meatlug who tossed it back before Fishlegs could get it "What?! you too, Meatlug?"
A few minutes later, the Thunderdrum hatchlings were flying around the academy as they roared for no reason
"Not so fast fellows, we still have a few more exercises to work on" Hiccup said as he covered his ears before looking at Toothless who was starting to get annoyed "I know, bud. The word 'excruciating' comes to my mind"
Suddenly, the three Thunderdrums stood calmly at the middle of the academy
"Uh… what just happened?" Blake asked
"I think we're finally getting through to them" Hiccup said before looking at the entrance of the academy "Well, someone is"
It was Thornado, he was entering the academy
"Okay, Thornado, how about a little follow the leader?" Hiccup asked as he walked towards Thornado
He flew up and the three Thunderdrum hatchlings began to follow him, none of them tried to misbehave, they happily followed him
"That is promising, huh bud?" Hiccup said
After like a minute of flying, Thornado and the hatchlings landed
"Huh, I hardly recognize them" Astrid said
"That makes two of us" Blake said
"What did you do? You've ruined them" Tuffnut gasped sadly "Oh, Lloyd… I'm so sorry, Darren"
Then, Stoick entered the academy
"Thrnado?! Thornado?!" he called "Come now, we have chiefing to do"
Thornado looked at the Thunderdrum hatchlings for a moment before walking towards Stoick who saw the Thunderdrum hatchlings
"Huh, that's an improvement. Well done, Hiccup" he said
"Well, dad, it's actually-" Hiccup tried to say but Stoick already left and to make things worse, the Thunderdrum hatchlings began to misbehave again "Oh, for the love of Thor"
Then, they began to fly towards the exit
"Tuffnut, the gate" Hiccup ordered
"Got it!" Tuffnut said as he ran towards the gate but when he reached it, he just stood there instead of closing it, so the Thunderdrum hatchlings flew outside
"What?" Tuffnut asked noticing how Hiccup was glaring at him "Okay, a little clarity next time would help"
At the village, the Thunderdrum hatchlings were creating a lot of chaos
"Oh, come on!" Hiccup said
"Hiccup!" Stoick yelled angrily as he flew next to Hiccup "I thought you had them under control!"
"Well, I did… sort of… but…" Hiccup stopped when he saw how Stoick was getting angrier "Not at all. Okay? I rely didn't"
Then, one of the Thunderdrums shot a sonic blast that almost threw Stoick off Thornado
"Woll these dragons ever quiet down?" Stoick asked
"Sure, once they find their grownup voice" Fishlegs said as he covered his ears
"And how long will that take?" Stoick asked
"Shouldn't be more than a couple of… years" Fishlegs said, so Stoick glared at Hiccup once more
"Ah… yes" Hiccup said before flying behind the Thunderdrum hatchlings who were flying around the village until Barf and Belch with the twins appeared in front of them
"Just want you to know, we're big fans" Tuffnut said before the Thunderdrum hatchlings split up revealing Hiccup and Toothless
"Look out!" The twins yelled
Luckily, Toothless avoided Barf and Belch but they lost their balance and crashed not too far away
Boom continued to fly through the village until Snotlout and Hookfang popped out behind a corned
"Haha, end of the line, Bing… or are you Lloyd?" Snotlout said before Boom shot a sonic blast that stunned him and Hookfang
Meanwhile at the farm, Bam was shotting sonic blasts at the sheep, sending them flying until Fishlegs and Meatlug arrived
"You leave those sheep alone!" Fishlegs ordered but Bam shot him a sonic blast "Never mind, I wasn't that close to them"
Back at the village, Stoick was looking at all the chaos made by the Thunderdrum hatchlings
"This is ridiculous, they look loke Gobber wrestling a greased yak" he groaned before flying toward the Thunderdrum hatchlings who were once again flying around the village, so Astrid had to block their path
"Don't even think about it" she said but the three Thunderdrums were still able to pass through her and Stormfly
The Thunderdrum hatchlings tried to escape but Thornado shot them a sonic blast that sent them to the ground
Stoick and Hiccup quickly landed just before a nearby house collapsed
"Remember how you said 'I wouldn't be sorry'?" Stoick asked glaring at his son
"Uh… yes" Hiccup said
"Well, I'm official sorry. You need to find those dragons anew home, son" Stoick said "The Thunderdrums have to go!"
Hiccup didn't say anything, he just nodded
Later that day, the teens took the Thunderdrum hatchlings to Dragon Island
"Okay, Bing, Bam and Boom, welcome to your new home, Dragon Island. You're going to love it here" Hiccup said "Plenty of room, lots of new dragons to annoy… I mean… meet. You can be as loud as you want"
The three Thunderdrums gave the teens puppy eyes
"Seriously? puppy eyes?" Blake asked as he crossed his arms
"Whoa, this is kanda sad" Ruffnut said
"Yeah, it reminds me of the time our parents took out pet yak out to that farm to live" Tuffnut said
"Yeah, I would have cried all night" Ruffnut agreed "Except for those delicious yak steaks we had for dinner"
"Nothing better than eat those soft yak jackets" Tuffnut said
"Okay, great, check you later" Snotlout said
All of the teens quickly flew off except Hiccup who looked at the Thunderdrum hatchlings one more time before following the others
"They'll be happy there, they'll love it" Hiccup said
"I'm not sure if it was a good idea to leave them there" Blake said
"Well, we can come and visit them, right?" Hiccup asked
"Sure, but they won't be there" Tuffnut said
"Why not?" Hiccup asked
"Because they're right behind you" Ruffnut said
They all looked back and saw the three Thunderdrums following them
"What?! great, what do we do now?" Hiccup asked
"I'll tell you what we do, we ditch them" Snotlout said before he and Hookfang flew back to Dragon Island with the Thunderdrum hatchlings following them
They quickly hid inside a cave and the Thunderdrum hatchlings flew past them
"Haha, we did it, Hookfang" Snotlout said before flying back with the others "Stupid baby dragons" suddenly, the Thunderdrum hatchlings appeared in front of him "Oh no"
They shot a sonic blast that threw Snotlout off Hookfang's neck who didn't even notice
"Uh… Hookfang" Hiccup said
"Hookfang!" Snotlout yelled, so Hookfang dived into the ocean to save his rider
"Wow, that was fun, let's try Snotlout's plan again" Astrid said as she tried to hold her laughter
Minutes later, they gave the Thunderdrum hatchlings a pile of fish, so they happily began to eat it
"I think this might be our chance to go" Hiccup whispered
"Yeah, and I say we take the long way home this time so they don't follow us" Astrid said before the teens flew off
Some time later, they returned to Berk. Stoick was waiting for them where they were supposed to land, he looked at the teens for a moment before looking down and for everyone's surprise, the Thunderdrum hatchlings were there
"What?!" Blake asked
"How?!" Hiccup asked
"Never mind. Looks like Thornado and I are going to have to give the 'dragon training geniuses' a hand" Stoick said
That same evening, Hiccup, Fishlegs, Blake and Stoick were flying back to Dragon Island with the Thunderdrum hatchlings
"I hope this works" Hiccup said
"Thornado was a way with them, it'll work" Stoick said
Then, Boom tried to fly away bit Thornado shot him a sonic blast, so Boom returned
"At a boy, Thornado. Sometime you need to show teenagers a little tough love" Stoick said "That's right, I said it"
They quickly landed at Dragons Island hoping that this time the Thunderdrum hatchlings would stay
"Okay, so this is it… Listen, Berk isn't the island for you" Hiccup said "There are too many Vikings and not enough places for you to play"
The Thunderdrum hatchlings didn't seem to understand what was happening, so they gave Hiccup innocent looks "Oh, no, no, stop making that wimpier sound, don't make this harder than it already is"
"Let's have Thornado have a word with them" Stoick said, so Thornado walked towards the hatchlings and quieted them down "Well, that's done, put that in the Book of dragons. Thornado, back to Berk"
They flew off back to Berk but Hiccup looked back
"don't look back, son. Remember, tough love" Stoick said
Suddenly, Thornado tried to fly back to Dragon Island, so everyone looked and saw how the Thunderdrum hatchlings were surrounded by other dragons
"Looks like they might not be welcomed on Dragons Island either" Hiccup said "Maybe that's why he found them on the sea stacks"
"Thet were probably chased there" Fishlegs said
"We should've seen it coming" Blake said
Thornado began to growl and Stoick nodded "Well, I guess we're not letting any wild dragons bully our boys, are we, Thornado?" he asked
"Tough love, huh?" Hiccup asked
Stoick just shrugged and flew down to Dragon Island where a Nadder charged at the Thunderdrum hatchlings, so Boom shot it a sonic blast but it only stunned it
The Nadder shot some spikes at them, but they dodged them. However, that put them face to face with a Zippleback who created a small gas explosion
Then, the Thunderdrum hatchlings were at the edge of a cliff being cornered by a Monstrous Nightmare who ignited itself
"Okay, bud, light them up!" Hiccup ordered, so Toothless shot a plasma blast at the Monstrous Nightmare sacring it off
Another Nadder was about to attack the Thunderdrum hatchlings but Fishlegs and Meatlug charged at it as Meatlug shot lava blasts
Then, a Gronckle was about to shot a lava blast at the Thunderdrum hatchlings but a lightning blast from Thunder was enough to stop it
Some of the dragons began to retreat except for a Zippleback
"Hey, you two!" Stoick yelled before Thornado shot the Zippleback a sonic blast
Thornado landed and began to grunt to the Thunderdrum hatchlings, Stoick understood what they were about to do
"Hiccup! Fishlegs! Blake!" Stoick yelled, so the four of them covered their ears
Thornado and the Thunderdrum hatchlings began to shot sonic blasts at every wild dragon in sight, so all of them retreated
"Sure taught those wild dragons a lesson" Hiccup said
"A pretty loud lesson" Blake said
"Yeah, this time" Fishlegs said just as more wild dragons began to appear
"What are we going to do with these guys? We can't take them with us and we can't leave them here" Hiccup said
Stoick thought for a moment before realizing that Thornado was nuzzling the Thunderdrum hatchlings as if he was trying to comfort them, so Stoick began detracting his saddle
"Dad, are you okay?" Hiccup asked
"Yes, son. I think we both know what we have to do, don't we, Thornado?" Stoick said as he removed the saddle
"Dad, what are you doing?" Hiccup asked
"I'm setting Thornado free, doing what any chief would do in this situation… or any father" Stoick said before looking at Thornado "These boys won't survive without you, right now they need you more than I do"
Fishlegs began to cry and Thornado gave Stoick a sad look
"I understand, I'd do the same thing doesn't mean I won't miss you" Stoick said as he rubbed Thornado's chin "Take care of your new family"
Then, Stoick walked towards Toothless and got on his back before they flew back to Berk
This time, Stoick is the one who looked back at Thornado and his new family
"Hey, dad, you did the right thing" Hiccup said
"Goodbye, old friend" Stoick said just before Thornado roared back probably saying "good bye" too
That probably was one of the hardest things Stoick has ever done, but not everything was bad. Bing, Bam and Boom now had a father
