When we're hurt, our body sends signals to form blood clots directly at the injury to help stop any bleeding. It's our body's system of checks and balances. It's a system that's supposed to save our lives. Or so we hope.

Webber walked out of the police station and got into Meredith's car.

"Thanks," he said.

"Are you okay?" Meredith asked.

"I lost control, Meredith. I was angry, and this bar... it was just awful. They're predators. They're destroying lives," Webber said, he took a sit off his coffee. "Yeah, well, this wind is picking up. We better get going."

"Catherine says you haven't gotten a new sponsor since Ollie died, you're not making meetings, and now you're destroying bars, Meredith said to Webber, he didn't look at her, he looked down at his feet. You need to get your head right, get your head in a place where you can take care of the people who depend on you.

Suddenly a large branch flow into Meredith's windshield, Meredith let out a little scream, she and Weber looked at the windshield that now had a crack in it.

Early in the morning Bailey walked to her front door, after hearing the knocking, she opened the door and Ben stood there, without saying that he could come in, he walked into the house.

"Okay... Ben?" She said.

"Sorry I woke you, but I, uh, I didn't know the rules about using my key during our separation," Ben said.

"We are not separated. We are taking time apart so that I can focus on bringing my stress down. It's a sabbatical," Bailey said.

"Yeah, I know what you call it. And even though I'm not sleeping in this house, I still want the people who live here to stay safe, Ben said. "Wind storm's on the way. It's supposed to get pretty ugly. I, uh... I was gonna board up the windows before my shift..."

"Oh."

"If that's okay with you," Ben said.

"Yes, of course," Bailey said. "Just try not to wake up Tuck."

"I will hammer the nails into the boards as quietly as possible," Ben said. "I'll do Tuck's windows last." Ben opened the door and left the house again.

Jackson standing at the entrance to the hospital, a pretty blonde woman came in and walked up to Jackson and he got a smile on his face when he saw her.

"Hey handsome."

"Rachel," Jackson said, as he was greeted with a kiss. "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you for a minute before I go to work," Rachel said.

"Ah," he said and he got another kiss from Rachel.

"You go save lives, I'll go catch bad guys," Rachel said.

"Please be careful, though, with the wind so strong outside," Jackson said.

"It takes more than wind to stop me," she said.

Jackson gave Rachel a kiss and walked out of the hospital. Jackson turned and saw April standing there, he waved uncomfortably at her and she did the same and then walked away.

"Oh, crap," he said to himself.

Arizona was walking through the halls of the hospital, not really paying attention to where she was walking and almost bumping into Amelia.

"Oh sorry," Arizona apologized

"It's okay, nothing happened," Amelia said. "You okay?"

"Yeah, yeah," Arizona said. "You all right?"

"I'm fine," Amelia said.

"That's good to hear, Arizona said, she looked at her watch. "I have to go now."

Yeah, me too," Amelia said.

Nothing more was said, Arizona and Amelia both walked in different directions. Arizona walked toward the counter where April was standing.

"That was awkward," she said.

"What was?" April asked.

"Amelia."

"Why was that awkward?" April asked her best friend.

"I don't know why, since we were in quarantine together, I feel tension when I see her," Arizona explained.

"Do you like her?" April said. "I don't want you to get hurt, I mean Amelia is.…"

"She's Bi, she told me so herself, Arizona said.

"So now what?" April said.

"If only I knew, then I wouldn't feel like this," Arizona said.

"I saw Jackson's new girlfriend," April said.

This got Arizona's attention and she turned to her best friend; "Really?"

"Yep," she replied.

"You met her face to face?" Arizona asked.

"No, I saw her and Jackson kissing, April said.

"How did that made you feel? Arizona asked.

"I wasn't bothered by it," April said, she turned to Arizona, who had a look on her face like she didn't believe her. "I really wasn't."

"Okay, then what happened?" Arizona asked.

"But then when Jackson saw me and then it got awkward," April said.

"So both our days started awkward," Arizona said.

"Yep," April said.

"How about we both not talk about our situations right now, but we'll talk about them when our shift is over," Arizona suggested.

"So you mean when we're drunk, have no filter and forget everything the next day?"

"Sounds like a good plan," Arizona said.

"Agreed," April said.

Both the doctors took a sip from their coffee's and Link walked past them and greeted them; "Morning Dr. Kepner, Dr. Robbins."

"Dr. Link, nice haircut," April said.

"Thank you," Link said, touching his hair.

"Looks good on you, Arizona said.

Webber walked into the Chief's office, but instead of finding Alex there, Bailey was standing in the office.

"Oh, is, uh, Karev around?" He asked.

"His mess is," Bailey replied.

"Oh, uh, this is a matter for the chief. Um, I'll come back later," Webber said as he was about to leave the office.

"Uh, if you peel that tape, you'll find my name, and I'm here, which says a lot more than Karev, who seems to think "interim" means "sloppy" and "whenever he feels like it." So just say whatever it is.

Webber walked back into the office and closed the door; "Um, well, I was close to Frankie Shavelson."

"Oh. Oh, yeah. I was so sorry to hear...," Bailey began. "Are you all right?"

"Yesterday, I, um, went into a bar and...," Webber began.

"Richard, no."

"I didn't drink, and I didn't hurt anyone. I lost my temper. There was property damage, and I was arrested," Webber told Bailey.

"Well, I'll need to inform the board, and there will be an inquiry," Bailey said. "I do need to bench you for today. You'll get some rest, catch up on charts. Just stay away from patients. Can you manage that?"

"I can, he said. Thank you, Bailey."

Bailey nodded her headed and Webber left the office again. The phone started to ring.

"Where the hell is Alex Karev?"

Meredith was in Cece's room, getting her checkup.

"Okay, breathe in for me, Cece," Meredith said, Cece nodded her head and inhaled. "Good."

"So Dr. Grey, how was your date with the English professor?" Cece asked.

"It was kind of fun, but I don't think it's gonna work out between us," Meredith told her.

"I'm sorry to hear that," Cece said. "But don't worry, I've got tons of other hot dates right here in my phone."

"Cece, you're too good at your job, Meredith said.

"I know, Cece said. "So how about we took a look at the next candidates."

"And I don't have the time," Meredith said.

"Have you looked at me? I'm the one who doesn't have time," Cece said.

Okay, so then I'll make it quick," Meredith said. "Let's prep her for a pleurocentesis."

Kyle stood at reception nervously with his phone in his hand; "Tate, when you get this, call me back," he said, he hung up his phone and then looked if he had any messages. "Damn it Tate, where are you?"

"Is everything okay Dr. Nolan?" Parker asked walking up to Kyle.

"No, my brother didn't come home last night and now with the wind storm coming up I'm starting to get worried," Kyle told Paker.

"Sorry to hear that," Parker said.

"Thank you, Kyle said and he put his phone away. Is there anything I can do for you, Dr. Parker?"

"I'm on your service today, I came here to tell you that," Paker said.

"Oh, okay."

"Would you like me to ask Dr. Schmitt if he's seen your brother?" Paker asked.

"Dr. Schmitt?

"Yeah, I've seen them together at Joe's, so maybe he knows something," Paker said.

"That's a Goode idea Parker, thank you," Kyle said. Parker walked away and Kyle took his phone out again and to see if had message. "Where are you, Tate?" He sighed he put his phone away again, he turned around and saw his brother standing in the lobby. "Tate?"

"Hey, Kyle!"

Kyle walked up to his brother and hugged him, he let go a few seconds after that and looked at his brother; "Tate, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Tate said.

"Why are you in the hospital? Did something happen to you?

"I'm okay, I told you that, Kyle, so relax, Tate said.

"Relax? I haven't heard from you all night and now with this wind storm coming, I was worried, so don't tell me to relax, Kyle said.

"Well, as you can see, I'm fine," Tate said.

"Okay, stay here at the hospital, Kyle said, he took out his walled and gave his brother some money. "Here buy something from the vending machine."

"You know I'm not a little kid anymore, this is take your kid to work day," Tate said.

"Just stay here and don't bother anybody. I have work to do today," Kyle said.

"Okay, I won't be bothering you or anyone," Tate said.

Alex and Jo arrived at the hospital, they got out of the car and walked into the hospital.

"I know heavy winds were predicted on the news, but I didn't expect this heavy, Jo said.

"And it's probably going to get worse," Alex said.

"Luckily we're at the hospital now," Jo said.

"But we're late now," Alex said.

"We're not late," Jo said.

"You guys are late," April said.

"You see, what are the status, Kepner," Alex asked.

"Okay, we got burns, car-wreck injuries, and flying debris has given us a ton of blunt injuries and several penetrating traumas, April said."

Alex headed to the Pit and Jo headed to the locker room to change. Alex sighed, he saw Bailey standing.

"Bailey, Alex said as he walked up to Bailey.

"Ah, look who's here. You're late Chief Karev," Bailey said.

"Traffic was chaos because of that whole wind storm," Alex said

"When things like that happen, you leave home even earlier than usual, Bailey told him.

"I'll remember for next time," Alex said. "Bailey, I could really use your help today, I know you're on leave as Chief, but I need your leadership, help Kepner in the Pit."

"You've got it," Bailey said.

"And you're in charge of the clinic," Alex said.

"Everything will be fine Chief," Bailey told him.

Bailey walked down the hall with April and some of the interns.

"Bailey, I don't think we have room to treat all these patients, and Seattle Pres is already closed to trauma," April said.

"Listen up. We will move all stable patients upstairs to clear beds. We will stock disaster supplies on all floors. And we will notify the blood bank to have extra units on standby. We are staying open for trauma, but sheltering in place. This is a brick house, and no amount of huffing and puffing can blow us down."

"Right there. Trauma one," Bailey said. Okay. Go, go.

"No more trauma rooms. Next incoming can go to procedure room," April said. "Jackson needs me in Trauma 3, Could you..."

"Go, go," Bailey said, April walked away and went to Trauma 3, Schmitt and Helm walked up to Bailey. "Schmitt, I told you trauma 2.

"Trauma 2 is the... the selfie stick in the brain, and...," Schmitt stammered

"Helm, you got a problem with brains?" Bailey asked.

"Love brains," Helm said.

"Trauma 2," Bailey said. Helm nodded her head and headed to Trauma 2. "Schmitt, go to the clinic We need to clear the patients per the protocol."

"I'm on it Dr. Bailey," Schmitt said.

Arizona walked into the ER, two paramedics brought in a boy, the boy was all dirty, big marks on his arms and legs, a big head wound.

"Who do we have here? She asked.

"John Doe between 8 and 11 years old, a couple found him right on the side of the road, unconscious, when we arrived the boy was conscious and was screaming.

"Did you give him anything? She asked as she was checking the boy's pupils.

"We gave him a sedative, the paramedic said.

"Medina," Arizona said. "I want you to get Neuro and Ortho here stat."

"Yes, Dr. Robbins, I'm on it," he said.

"Come take him to Trauma room 6," Arizona said to the paramedics and they brought the boy to the trauma room. Arizona turned to Diego. "And there's another thing you have to do for me Medina, you have to call the police."

Diego nodded his head and walked toward the front desk and called the police.

Jenna and Link were working on one of the patients that came in and Meredith also went to do a check on the patient.

"Why did I get a glass door?"

"Hold tight, Georgia. We got you, Qadri, hand me a 4x4," Link said. "Dr. Grey. How was sunny L.A.?"

"Not so sunny," Meredith said. "Do you think it violated the fascia?"

"Uh, not sure. I'm worried about a thoracoabdominal injury," Jenna said.

"There's fluid in the upper-right quadrant. Missed the liver.

"Can you make a fist for me? Link asked, Georgia did what Link said and made a fist. Now open. That's great. There's no major damage. Qadri, clean and stitch. Link stood up and took off his gloves. Good to have you back, Grey.

Meredith saw Catherine walking in to the hospital; "Qadri, let's get her up to CT, please," she said.

Meredith took off her gloves and walked up to Catherine; Catherine, "What are you doing here?"

"This is my hospital," Catherine said.

"Are you going to tell Richard and Jackson?" Meredith asked.

No, not yet, Catherine said. First I have to process that my husband got arrested for vandalism.

"How do you know that?" Meredith asked.

"I have connections Dr. Grey," Catherine told her. "And this also proves that Richard is not ready to hear this news."

"Catherine."

"Now, if you don't mind, I'm off to daycare to see my grandchildren," Catherine said.

"I can see it out of the corner of my eye, but I can't feel it."

"You can't feel it because your brain doesn't have any pain receptors, Amelia said. I know you're scared, but I need you to stop moving around so much, okay?"

"I've a selfie stick in my head. It's not even mine. It's some idiot teenager's."

"How is she talking this much?" Helm asked,

"Adrenaline, maybe? I don't know," Amelia said.

"Bailey walked into Trauma 2; How we doing? She asked. "I told CT you'd be on your way any minute."

"Wh-When are you taking it out? You can take it out, right? Please take it out."

"Phoebe, I'm gonna do everything I can to remove it, but when I do, there is a strong possibility that your brain will bleed or swell," Amelia said. "I just want to prepare you in case you want to call anyone before surgery."

"My mom. Can I call my mom? The paramedics said they had my phone," Phoebe said.

"We'll find it," Bailey said.

Arizona, Jo and Kyle were examining the unknown boy.

"He his left hand broken and there is a big cut his right hand, We need to have someone from plastic look at that," Jo said. And a couple found the boy at the side of the road?"

"That's what was said to me," Arizona said.

"Something terrible must have happened to that boy," Jo said.

"Do you think he was held captive and managed to escape?" Kyle asked.

"Where ever he came from, he must have been in a lot of pain to get to the side of the road, his right leg is also broken," Jo said.

"I want this boy to go to the CT scan, Kyle said. I want to know what the damage is around his brain.

Diego walked into the trauma room; "The police is here, Dr. Robbins, a named Detective Perkins and they want to talk to you and Chief Karev."

"As soon as I'm done I'll meet you at the CT scan," Arizona said.

"Let's go," Kyle said, he and Jo took the boy out of the Trauma room and went to with him to CT.

"Do you see yourself? I told you not to go outside in that mess! Veronica shouted.

"Do you see me? How about some sympathy? And stop shouting! Nobody can hear themselves think with you in here," Louie said. "Can someone please check my ears for years of damage?"

"So, you two are married, then?" Jackson asked.

"Decreased breath sounds on the right," April said.

"He's got a small pneumo," said one of the cardio attendings

"We were having a fight," Louie said.

"Which he started," Veronica said.

"So I went outside to get away from her," Louie said.

"Which is all he ever does," Veronica said.

"And I slammed the front door on her perfectly. Rivaled the Great Door Slam of 1987, Louie said. "And then someone's mailbox slammed into our sycamore. But I couldn't undo that door slam, so I took a walk."

"Like an idiot."

"I can't tell if there's a pericardial effusion," April said.

"I'm getting a pulse in the neck, but I'm worried about an underlying injury," Jackson said.

"So, I'm standing in front of the Hoffmans' house when their stupid Christmas decorations caught the wind, and, ta-da! I should be in Santa's workshop," Louie said.

"It isn't even Thanksgiving," April said.

"It's enraging. I wrote a letter to the neighborhood association. I write one every year," Veronica said.

Arizona walked into the CT room and sat down next to Jo; "And?"

"The CT scans showed nothing, no major damage, only thing he has is a mild concussion," Kyle said.

"We talked to the paramedic who brought him in, they couldn't communicate with him, in the ambulance he started screaming and panicking, then they gave him that drug that put him out," Jo said.

"Like I said, there was nothing on the CT scan that would explain that," Kyle said.

"What did the police say?" Jo asked.

They're going through there description files now. A detective stays here, detective Perkins. She'll be the communication point," Arizona said. "Is the boy still unconscious?"

"Yes and I would like to work on his fractures now," Jo said.

"I'm gonna bring in Dr. Rosen for when the boy regains consciousness, we need him on this case, Kyle said.

"We'll take him back to trauma 6 when he's taken care of, we'll move him to a room," Arizona said, she stood up and walked into the CT machine room, she grabbed the boy's hand. "You are in safe hands now, I promise you everything will be okay."

Schmitt was busy in the clinic, when he turned around, suddenly Tate was standing in front of him and Schmitt was scared half to death.

"Jesus."

"Hey," Tate greeted.

"What are you doing here? Did you get hurt?" Schmitt asked.

"No," Tate said. "Why is that the first question people ask me when the see me today?"

"Then what are you doing here?" Schmitt asked.

"I saw you go here," Tate said.

"So you're following me now?" Schmitt askd

"You still owe me a drink," Tate said.

"I don't have time for that, I'm working," Schmitt said.

"I'll wait here, I have plenty of time," Tate said.

"Fine, but don't bother the patients and staff," Schmitt said.

"I'll do my best", Tate said.

Tate took his phone and earbuds out of his pocket and sat down in one of the chairs, He put on his music and grabbed one of the magazines to do some reading, and Schmitt went back to work.

Amelia and Helm were in the OR, Phoebe was on the phone talking to her mother.

"Mommy, I don't want you to be worried. I'm okay. It happened on my way to work," Phoebe said. "No, work's good."

"Helm, we'll keep her in a sitting position."

C-Could you go by my house later after the storm and take over for the dog sitter? I might be a little longer than I thought. And don't forget, he only gets one treat after dinner," Phoebe said. "Thanks, Mom. You're the best. You're the very best mom. I'll call you after? Be safe. Love you." Phoebe hung up phone and sobbed a bit. "Sorry, I just..I don't like to scare her."

"We understand, Amelia said. Ready?

Phoebe nodded her head, she closed her eyes and Dr. Knox put the mask on, a few seconds later and Phoebe was out.

"She's plenty scared," Amelia said.

April walked into the scrub room, Jackson was already getting ready; "Welcome to the North Pole."

"You should've seen his wife screaming at him all the way up to the red line, marital bliss," Jackson said.

"You take him to CT?" April asked.

"No, there were a dozen patients up ahead of us in line," Jackson said. "I'm thinking we cut the top off and just pull the cane out from the bottom."

"Works for me," April said. "So, I saw that your mother is here."

"Yeah, she is taking Quentin and Harriet out for lunch," Jackson said.

"She is doing what?" April asked. "I didn't know anything about this."

"It's okay, so knows that she has to ask for permission before she can take the twins anywhere," Jackson said. And it's just lunch.

"The last time she took the twins out for lunch she took them all the way out to Washington to some fancy lunch room, April said. So, sorry if I'm a bit worried about this.

"Don't worry I told that she has to stay in Seattle," Jackson said.

"That's good, that's a relief," April said.

"Basin," Amelia said.

"Oh, my God. Oh, my God," Helm said.

"Cottonoid."

"And fibrin glue?" Helm asked.

"Yeah, just a little. Good." Amelia said. "Alarms stared blaring. "Agh, damn it. Suction."

"What happened?" Helm asked.

"Stick must have been tamponading her vertebral artery," Amelia said. "Helm, suction."

Webber was looking at the nursey, he looked at Frankie's baby boy and saw that he was named Frank. He took his phone out his pocket and looked at his phone, he saw that had some missed calls from Catherine, he was about the call her back, but didn't he put his phone back in his pocket and walked away.

Amelia and Helm were still working on Phoebe, the alarms were still blaring

"Pulse is dropping, and her pressure's through the roof," said Knox.

"Because she's herniating," Ameila said.

Should we give her mannitol or start hypertonic saline?" Helm asked.

It won't work," Amelia said.

What? Why?" Helm asked.

Her brain stem is going dark. Let's check her pupils," Amelia said, she walked to the other side and checked Phoebe's eyes.

"Fixed and dilated," said Dr. Knox.

"But she was talking," Helm said. "She... She talked to us. She... She talked to her mom. She was lucid."

"The stick was right up against her artery. Any attempt to remove it was a risk for hemorrhage and uncontrollable swelling," Amelia said.

"She never had a chance," Helm said.

"No, Amelia said. Can you check to see if she's a donor?"

"The nurse checked the computer and nodded her head; "She is... B negative."

"All right, let's, uh, close her up, get her up to ICU until we can call it," Amelia said. Helm, "let's go."

"B negative? Helm asked.

"Yes, why? Ameila asked.

"That matches Cece Colvin," Helm said, she removed her gloves and started walking towards the door.

Tate was leaning in his chair, he tossed the magazine on the ground and got up.

"I'm bored," Tate said.

"I'm waiting it out over here, and not because I'm scared or weak but because it's the sensible thing to do, Schmitt said. "The winds are picking up."

"I'm not the drama. You're the drama. And you're also clueless if you think it's safe to cross the ambulance bay right now. Ever heard of the Venturi effect, Mr. "I'm So Experienced"? It means wind speeds can easily double in between two buildings, creating a tunnel. There's a reason they call Pacific Northwest windstorms "Big blows." This is an extra Big Blow!

"See, I-I can't even touch that," Tate said.

"At least stay low to the ground," Schmitt said.

Tate just chuckled and walked to the exit, he opened the door, but before he could even do one step he was blown away by the wind.

"Tate! Schmitt yelled, he ran towards the door, he saw Tate lying unconscious against one of the ambulance. Schmitt got to the ground and started crawling towards Tate, he helped Tate get up and got him into the ambulance. Are you okay?

"Yeah, I think so," Tate said. "Ohh! That was... Dude."

"You're welcome," Schmitt said.

Arizona stood with Alex and the detective outside the boy's room, the boy was still unconscious, Jo had put a cast on his arm and leg and he was cleaned up by the nurses.

"Shouldn't we take his DNA?" Alex asked.

"That no use right now, it can't be delivered to the lab with this wind storm," Det. Perkins said.

"Have you found anything on your missing person's report yet?" Arizona asked.

"We don't have any special details on this boy, The only thing that came through was that he has blond hair and blue-gray eyes," Det. Perkins said. "And we did the search all over the country, way too many results."

"Do you think the boy is from outside Seattle?" Arizona asked.

"We have to look at all the options," Det. Perkins said. "If we can get a name, it will be a big help."

"I think he's waking up," Arizona said, Det. Perkins was about to go into the room, but Arizona stopped her. "I think it's better if you don't."

"I need to talk to him," she said.

"That boy just went through something very traumatic. You don't have to be a psychologist to know that," Arizona said.

"We'll let Dr. Rosen talk to him first. If he approves, you can talk to him," Alex said.

"Fine," Det. Perkins said.

"I'll call him," Arizona said.

April and Jackson were in the OR working in Louie.

"Okay, ready? Here we go," April said.

"All right, keep going. There's no injury to the jugular so far," Jackson said.

"Slow and steady. I don't want him to bleed out," April said.

"We're buying him some time away from his wife. We might be doing him a favor," Jackson said. April couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "So how are you doing?"

"What are you doing?" April asked.

"Just asking you how you are doing," he said.

"Why?"

"Why not? We're still friends right? Can one friend not asked how one friend is doing?" Jackson asked.

"This is because of Rachel isn't? You're still worried about that I might be mad at you for having a new relationship?"

"No, that's not it at all," Jackson said.

"Good, then how about we drop it," April said.

"Okay," Jackson said. "But if you wanna talk about it."

"Can we just focus on the surgery?" April asked.

Arizona, Alex and Detective Perkins stood outside the boy's room, Dr. Rosen walked out of the room.

"And?"

"I paid attention to everything and this boy has been through quite a traumatic experience, Dr. Rosen said. I'm not afraid to say that this boy is a kidnap victim.

"Can I talk to the boy now?" Det. Perkins asked.

"He is not saying anything back now and with the questions you will have to ask I don't think the boy is ready for that yet," Dr. Rosen said.

"I understand," she said.

"I'll let you know when I think he's ready to be questioned by you and I'll have to sit with you and you have to do as I say," Dr. Rosen said.

"Yes, that's good, Doctor," Det. Perkins said.

"What can we do for him in the meantime?" Alex asked.

"If you need to examine him, approach him calmly, make sure he doesn't get too overexposed, If he gains confidence, that can be very helpful for everything," Dr. Rosen said, he heard his pager go off and looked at it. Excuse me, I am needed elsewhere right now."

"Thank you for your help Dr. Rosen," Arizona said. Dr. Rosen nodded and walked away.

"What's next?" Alex asked.

"Keep me updated on his progression," Det. Perkins said.

"We will do that," Arizona said.

"As soon as this wind storm clears, I'll send a search team to the spot where the boy was found, Hopefully they can find something and that the storm won't erase too many traces and evidence," Det. Perkins said. "Her phone went off and she took it out. 'My boss is calling, I have to take this one." She walked away from Arizona and Alex. "Perkins."

"Poor boy, he is not much older than Sofia, just thinking now about what he had to go through..., Arizona said. It makes me feel all sad.

"If I ever find the person who kidnapped him I will make him pay, Alex said.

"Alex.

"Any person who harms children deserves to be severely punished, the world will be a better place without such people, Alex said.

"Alex, you're a doctor, not a police officer, Arizona said.

"I hope when they find him they put a bullet in his head, Alex said, he walked away.

"I'm officially declaring her," Amelia said. "Her radionuclide scan shows no cerebral perfusion. She's brain dead."

"I'll touch base with UNOS and our transplant coordinator," Bailey said. "Helm, you'll..."

"Tell Dr. Grey?"

"Yes," Bailey said.

"Right away," Helm said, the left to room.

Baily also left the room. Amelia heard a phone go off. It was Phoebe's phone, she walked to the phone and picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Honey, is that you? Are you out?"

"Mrs. Moss, um...," Amelia began. "This is Dr. Shepherd. I was your daughter's surgeon.""

"Helm walked up to Merdith; "I, uh... I found them. He didn't."

"Found what?" Meredith asked.

"We may have organs for Cece," Helm told her.

"Okay," April said, as she pulled the cane out, she put it aside and check Louie's organs." Grazed the liver, missed the colon. I don't see any damage to the spleen."

"How's the heart?" Jackson asked.

"Well, the cane passed anterior to the pericardium," Jenna said. "There's only a small hole in the "diaphragm, and it missed the heart completely."

Yeah, and the bowel only has a few serosal tears," April said. "Irrigation?"

"Yeah, I can't believe it," Jenna said. "He's completely unscathed."

"Honestly I'm kinda disappointed," Jackson said.

One of the maintennce guy and Bailey brought in a guy who had a lisence plate stuck in his chest.

"What's going one?" April asked as she walked up to the scene.

"They're stretched thin, so maintenance is helping out," Bailey said.

"This entire hospital is stretched thin. You should shut it down before someone gets hurt."

"What? You want her to close trauma?" April asked.

"Yeah, I do. Every hospital in the area is shut down, and..."

"And this is a brick house," Bailey said. "Kepner, get him to CT."

"Got it," April said.

Meredith, DeLuca and Helm were in Cece's room and were telling her the news about the fact that they had found organs for her.

"So I can get my transplants today?" Cece asked.

"Yeah, there's a few more tests that Dr. Wyatt has to run, but if they check out, yes," Meredith said.

"Who's the donor? Do they have family?" Cece asked.

"All I can say is that it was someone who was hurt in the storm," Meredith said.

"And the storm's gotten so bad that UNOS can't physically send the organs anywhere else," Helm said.

"So they're giving them to me?" Cece asked. Helm nodded her head, but DeLuca had a different look on his face. "Why the face?"

"You weren't the next person on the list, Cece. You were nowhere near the top because your body's been through so much damage, and with procedures like these, you're at risk for catastrophic bleeding. You'll be under anesthesia for hours, which can only increase the possibility that you'll clot or have a stroke. There's a chance it won't work. There's a chance you might not make it off Dr. Grey's table."

"He's right. You don't have to accept the organs. We are taking a huge risk, Meredith said.

"If I die today, I die fighting. I'll die knowing I did everything I could, but, Dr. Grey, if you don't fight, if you don't try, if you don't do your part and squeeze all the light and love and joy you can out of this one life you've been given, I'm gonna haunt you from my grave."

"Okay," Meredith said.

"Now give me those organs. Because I'd much rather haunt you from above ground, Cece said.

"I will see you upstairs, Cece, Meredith said, she and DeLuca left the room. Okay, so, let's recheck her potassium and correct her coagulopathy, okay?

"For your face," Schmitt said handing Tate an ice pack. There's some swelling. Tate put the pack to his face and started at Schmitt. What?

"What happened to your glasses? Tate asked.

"The band snapped when we were climbing in the rig, Schmitt said.

"Can you see? Tate asked.

"Yes, I can see. Just not perfectly. They're probably broken on the ground or blew away into a tree, which is all your fault.

"You done? Tate asked.

"Yes," Schmitt said. No, I'm not done, I told you not to go out, you're such a bad listener.

"I've heard that one before, Tate said. "So what's your story?"

"What?"

"What's your story, tell me about it," Tate said.

"Why do you want to know that?" Schmitt asked.

"We need something to talk about, now that we're stuck in here," Tate said.

"Okay, I sat in my mom's basement with three other debate-club kids playing "Dungeons & Dragons," a-and it's the same basement I live in now. Trust me when I say no one was having sex. With guys or girls. Sex was... Sex was like the Sunsword."

"What's that?"

"It's a magical weapon in the game that's really hard to find. It's basically like a talking light saber, but...," Schmitt explained. "Never mind, doesn't matter. The point is... sex wasn't on the table for us. So I didn't know I was gay. I-I knew that I had feelings for boys, but I didn't understand it."

"You done now?" Tate asked.

Schmitt was about to say something, but before he could Tate pulled him towards him and kissed him, Schmitt pulled back and looked confused; "Are you just kissing me to get me to stop talking?"

"No," Tate said. Schmitt leaned forward and started kissing Tate again.

Arizona walked into the boy's room; Hi, I'm here to do a check-up, is that okay?

The boy nodded his head, Arizona walked further into the room and went to the boy, she took the light from her pocket and turned it on.

"Can you follow the light with your eyes? Arizona asked, the boy nodded with his head and did what Arizona asked him to do. Okay, that's good, and now follow it up and down, good job buddy.

Arizona put the light back in her pocket, the boy lifted his hand and pointed to Arizona's coat and specifically to her coat.

"Yes, I have a unique name, not many people are named Arizona," she said. "Are you from there? From Arizona?"

The boy shook his head, he turned and pointed toward the window, Arizona walked toward the window.

"Do you want me to close the curtains?" Arizona asked, she looked at the boy who shook his head and she let go of the curtains. "The boy kept pointing at the window. Yes, there really is a big wind storm outside."

She looked at the boy again, who started pointing at himself, Arizona asked if he was afraid of the wind storm, the boy shook no, he kept pointing at the window and then at himself and Arizona tried to figure out what he meant by that.

"Windstorm... Storm," Arizona said to herself. She turned back to the boy, she sat down next to him. "Storm, is that your name?" The boy took Arizona's hand and he nodded his head. "Hey, Storm."

Arizona walked down the hall looking for Detective Perkins and she finally found her in the cafeteria.

"Storm."

"What about the storm?" Det. Perkins asked.

"That's the boy. His name is Storm," Arizona said.

"He spoke? He told you his name?" Det. Perkins asked.

"Not with words, he tried to make it clear to me and when I asked if Storm was his name, he nodded his head," Arizona told her. "So now we have his name."

"I'm going to inform the colleagues," Det. Perkins said, she took out her phone and called the station. "Good job doctor."

"I will now go back to Storm," Arizona said.

"As soon as I find out more I'll bring you up to speed," Det. Perkins said.

Jackson and Veronica stood outside Louie's room, Jackson had just told her about the surgery and that it went tell.

"Louie's fine?" She asked. "He... He was an appetizer on a festive toothpick."

"Yes, and, surprisingly, nothing vital was pierced, Jackson told her. He needs to rest, okay? Stay quiet for several weeks or so.

"I know it sounds like we hate each other, the way we go at it, but I have loved him every day of the 45 years we've been together. But still, that's 45 years of marriage. I mean, we would have never made it without fighting. Louie... he likes a dramatic exit, but he scared me half to death today, because... because, you see, he always comes back. No matter the fight, he would... he would come back.

Veroncia thanked Jackson and walked into Louie's room and sat down next to him and hold his hand.

"I'm gonna re-read this entire thing, and then I'm gonna get a new sponsor," Webber said.

"Well, I think that is an excellent idea," Bailey told him.

"I don't want to lose my wife over this," Webber said.

"Every marriage has its troubles," Bailey said.

"Well not you, because not everyone is Bailey and Warren."

"Ben and I...," she began. "Aren't sleeping in the same house right now. I asked for a sabbatical."

"You don't take a sabbatical from a marriage. You take it from a job," Webber said.

"I worry every minute of the day about whether he was suffocating from too much carbon monoxide, blowing up in a burning building, or falling off a stupid ladder. I worried about him dying.'

"A-And all that stopped just because you asked him to leave? And you're not worried anymore? You gave up your job and your husband. What's next... Tuck? Bailey, you're trying to fix the inside from the outside, and I know because my insides are a damn mess. You need to get some help, Bailey."

Meredith saw Catherine sitting in one of the patient rooms and walked over to her.

"Is everything okay here?" Meredith asked.

"Yes, just had a nice lunch with my grandchildren," Catherine said. "I don't really want Jackson and Richard to know,"

"Why don't you want them to know?" Meredith asked, sitting down next to Catherine.

"I don't want to be weak, I don't want my son and my husband to see me as a sick and weak patient, Catherine said. "And I know they will see as "Catherine the patient", I know my son and my husband."

"They love you and they want the best for you then, Jackson and Richard deserve to know, so please tell Jackson...," Meredith began

"What do you need to tell me?" Jackson asked, Meredith and Catherine turned to Jackson, but stayed quit. "Mom?"

"Jackson dear come here," Catherine said.

"What is it mom?" Jackson asked, he walked into the room and sat down next to his mother.

"I will leave you alone," Meredith said, she got up and left the room.

"Mom?"

Catherine grabbed her son's hand and looked at him; "Honey what I'm about to tell you isn't easy and..."

"Mom, what do you have to tell me?" He asked.

"I'm sick, Jackson, I have cancer," she told him. Jackson speechless upon hearing this.

Bailey walked over to Helm, she was standing by the elevator with Phoebe. "Hey, Helm."

"Hey."

"You're taking Phoebe up for the procurement?" Bailey asked.

"Yes. Uh, Dr. Grey's meeting us in O.R. while Qadri preps Cece," Helm said.

"I'm joining," Bailey said. "Thanks"

DeLuca walked toward the elevator; he saw that April was standing by the elevator with her patient.

"Dr. Kepner," DeLuca said.

"Dr. DeLuca," April said.

"Can I come with you? I need to get to the O.R. floor," he said.

"Sure, you can join me," April said.

The elevator arrived and the doors opened, "Let me help you," DeLuca said as he helped April get the patient into the elevator.

"Thank you, DeLuca," April said, the elevator door closed and she pressed the button.

"We found the organs for Cece," DeLuca told April

"That's great news," April said.

The elevator Bailey and Helm were in suddenly stopped and the lights went out.

"What's going on?" Helm asked.

"The power's out, the elevator's stuck," Bailey said.

It also happened to the elevator that April and DeLuca were in; Oh no, we're stuck, April said.

Arizona was in Storm's room, she was sitting next to his bed, The lights went out and Storm started screaming.

"It's okay, Storm, Arizona said, she held Storm's hand and tried to calm him down. "I'm here, nothing can happen to you, I've got you."

Schmitt and Tate were still in the ambulance kissing each other, Schmitt took off his shirt and pressed his body did against Tate's and it became more and more intense.

Jenna was in the OR with a nervous Cece, Jenna kept looking at the clock waiting for organs to arrive, it was super quiet the only thing that could be heard were the sounds the machine was making.

Next time: When the power goes out at Grey Sloan, the doctors are left scrambling to save their patients' lives; Jackson has to deal with what he just learned about his mother.
