An hour Kiyomi Azumabito the Ambassador of the Hizuru Clan had arrived on Paradis, she had met Mikasa for the first time. Mikasa had showed the marking of the Hizuru crest upon her arm to Kiyomi and her people. Afterwards, the higher ups on Paradis Island, including Eren Yaeger, and Mikasa Ackerman begun talking with Kiyomi, the Ambassador in a private room.

"About a hundred years ago, Hizuru's Shogun and the Eldian Empire. We, the Azumabito Family trace our lineage back to the son of the Shogun, who aligned himself the royal family of King Karl Fritz. After the defeat in the Great Titan War, the Hizuru Clan lost its standing within the world. I do not have much details on how it happened, but it's unclear." Kiyomi explained the history between Eldia and the Hizuru Clan to everyone. She then looked to Mikasa, who sat at the table right in front of her. "But during the heir's visit, he left an offspring behind on this island. And to think now, that I'm sitting right in front of the heir's descendant. I couldn't feel more blessed. You, Mikasa... are the Hizuru's last hope." Kiyomi sipped some tea.

Ten Minutes Later

The Military higher ups from Paradis had all stepped out of the meeting meeting room to speak in private. Eren Yaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Erwin Smith and Dot Pixis listened to the higherups conversations about whether to trust or to use the Hizuru Clan to gain information.

Erwin Smith sighed as he heard one Military Police Brigade officer speak about using them. "Everyone, we need to stay calm. I know that everyone is confused, I know that some of you distrust the Azumabito Family, I know that some of you want the Azumabito Family to leave. But, we need to listen to them and see what they has to offer. This is the first time we had anyone from the outside world visit Paradis."

Everyone looked at Commander Erwin and stayed quiet. Most of the higherups had mild looks on their faces.

Dot Pixis stepped forward. "Commander Erwin is right. Humanity had not the slightest clue that people existed outside the walls. And now that we know, we are at a complete disadvantage. Compared to the world, we hold no real political power. We're nothing more than babies sucking our thumbs, while the adults are drinking at the table. Let's just hear what they have to offer, first."

"Thank you, Commander Pixis." Erwin nodded.

"Now, let's go. We all have to make a great first impression on Lady Kiyomi." Dot Pixis said as he and many other higherups walked back in the meeting room.

Two Minutes Later

The Military Higherups walked back into the meeting room and sat down with Kiyomi. Eren, Mikasa, Erwin, Queen Historia and a few other military higherups sat on one side of the table, as Kiyomi had sat alone on one side.

"This is a historic day for both of our nations. This would never had come, if that man Zeke Yaeger hadn't invited us here to this island. We were told by that man about descendants living on Paradis not too long ago. He asked us to agree to certain conditions, before we were aloud to see you all." Kiyomi then explained her entire meeting with Zeke Yaeger to the Military higherups.

Erwin Smith did not blink the entire time as Kiyomi had talked. Not even when he witness Kiyomi drooling.

"As you all know, Zeke Yaeger claims to have a plan. This plan is supposed to save Eldia and the world, but it requires our mediation." Kiyomi turned to her bodyguards and they laid out forms on the table.

Everyone picked up a single copy of a file and read it, slowly.

"These are the steps needed for the rumbling to protect Paradis. The first step is a test for the rumbling weapon." Kiyomi temporarily looks at Eren Yaeger. "As the possessor of the Founding Titan, you must show the world its earth destroying potential by activating it. The next step is the Hizuru Clan's mediation. Our goal will be to raise the military power of this nation, so that you will not have to rely on the power of the rumbling. Introducing the latest weapons and modern technology is not difficult. However, establishing a modern army requires creating a firm base of power. Also education, economy, diplomacy and education."

"I see." Erwin raised his hand, hoping to not interrupt Kiyomi. "In order for Paradis to survive enemy threats, we need to rely on the support and resources from other allied nations, rather than relying on the rumbling, alone."

Eren glanced at Commander Erwin.

"That would be correct." Kiyomi answered. "And I have a confession to make. A confession that you all must know... Paradis Island are one hundred years behind from the rest of the world. In the real world, it is currently the year Nine Fifty-Two."

Most military higherups gasped after hearing Kiyomi's latest confession.

Erwin paused, as his blue eyes stared at Kiyomi. 'I understand, now. Not only did King Karl Fritz wipe out everyone's memories, but he made us believe that we were living in a false timeline.'

"You would not need a hundred years to catch up with the world. Fifty years should be enough." Kiyomi said.

Historia gasped.

"In other words, you must use the rumbling to protect Paradis for fifty years. As I was told be Zeke, there must be an Eldian who possess the Founding Titan and a member of the royal family making contact with the Founder. That is the third element." Kiyomi said.

Historia looked stunned, as her light blue eyes froze in place, as she starting to catch on. "So, then..."

Kiyomi's eyes lowered a bit. "Zeke will pass down his Titan to a member of the royal blood. And that person must bred as many children as possible, for the next thirteen years.

The entire room had gotten quiet. Kiyomi lowered her head in a saddened state. Eren and Mikasa looked at Queen Historia in shock and pity, as they learned Zeke's third step.

Erwin closed his eyes for a moment, then calmly glanced at Queen Historia, seeing the shocked look on her face. 'If Queen Historia agrees to these demands, this will continue another endless cycle. And once she is on the last year of her life, one of her children would be forced to devour her. Than the next wielder would be devoured, continuing an endless cycle. Just like the Titan-Shifters of the past.' Erwin looked and can see the look on Historia's face, as she is making her mind. 'Queen Historia is prepared to carry on this burden. The burden of sacrificing one's freedom to protect one's own people...' Erwin then thought about the one time he led a charge towards Zeke Yaeger.

'This can't be an option...' Eren thought as he stared at Queen Historia.

Before Historia could speak and gave Kiyomu her answer, Commander Erwin suddenly stood up from his chair, catching everyone's attention. "Pardon me for interrupting, but would you mind giving us more time to think of other options?"

Eren and Mikasa looked up at Erwin, whom stood up and was on their right.

Queen Historia lightly gasped and stared upwards at Erwin, who was on her left. "Commander?"

"Yes. Take all the time you need, for now. We will continue to mediate between you and Zeke Yeager." Kiyomi responded.

"Thank you, miss Kiyomi." Erwin said.

Many hours Later

It was dark outside and a rainy weather. Erwin Smith and Queen Historia had sat in fancy chairs within the Queen's office discussing what happened earlier that day.

"Are you alright, Queen Historia?" Erwin asked.

"I'm fine. Thank you... for stepping up and asking for more time." Historia said as she sipped a cup of tea.

"No need to thank me. I just simply bought more time for everyone within Paraids, until we found another option.

Historia looked at her reflection through the tea she was drinking. "I was willing to go along with Zeke's plan to inherit the Beast Titan. So long as the was necessary to our continued existence."

"I know. And I personally disagree that you would sacrifice yourself for Zeke's demands." Erwin stood up from the chair and walked towards the window, as he saw rain from the inside out. "The people of Paradis had already made enough sacrifices to learn the truth of this world. We can't let someone like Zeke control our future."

"Is Zeke Yaeger... the reason you had become the Colossus Titan, since you reclaimed Shiganshina two years ago?" Historia asked.

Erwin Smith thought back during the events when he had encountered the Beast Titan. He remembered getting punctured in the left side, above the hip and bleeding out. "He is. Even though Zeke Yaeger is now an ally to Paradis, I do not intend to let him get away with all the lives within the walls he has taken. Not a thought goes by in my mind of Zeke murdering my subordinates in front of me." Erwin Smith suddenly thought of his dead comrade, Mike Zacharias, who one day went missing. Then he remembered watching Zeke through chunks of rocks, killing many Survey Corps. members.

"I see..." Historia muttered. "Do you believe Zeke betray us, once he has Eren?" Historia asked.

"If Zeke Yaeger were to betray Paradis-which I'm sure he will... Captain Levi and I will not hesitate to kill him, before he can harm another Eldian on this island." Erwin turned and looked to Historia, who set her cup of tea down. "Even though I don't look angry right now, I'm angry." he said with a calm face.

"Have you come up with an option of your own?"

"I have. With the aid of the Azumabito Family and the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers, we can use the Marleyan ships to travel across the sea. While in foreign countries, we Eldians will convince those that are enemies of Marley that the Eldian "devils of Paradis" are no longer the devils that the world described. It will take time, but we should able to convince them and hopefully convince them that the Eldians of Paradis are not what they used to be." Erwin said.

"That doesn't sound like a bad idea." Historia said, as she thought for a moment. "Making alliances with enemy nations of Marley."

"As soon as we get into contact with Yelena, we will depart from Paradis to other nations across the sea. Hopefully it will be soon. As they say... the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Erwin quoted.
