A few days had passed since after the Survey Corps. had returned to the walls from Marley and reported everything that has happened to the Supreme Court in the capital, Mitras. The three respectful military branches had sat in three individual rows. As the Garrison had sat on the far left, the Military Police Brigade sat in the center and the Survey Corps. had sat on the far right within the Supreme Court.
Everyone within the Supreme Court, including high ranking officials were all dressed in green military trench coats and sat in rows, except for the Queen Historia Reiss, herself. She sat in the center next to premiere Dhalis Zachary and another high ranking official. There were three separate rows within the Supreme Court.
"Tell me and everyone here in the courtroom, Erwin Smith. Were you successful in completing your mission? Is Paradis safe from harm?" Dhalis Zachary questioned.
Many military officials in the courtroom begun to listen, carefully.
"Yes." Erwin Smith answered as he stood within the Supreme Court. "The mission of securing the peace between Eldians and the entire world has been completed! There will be no war on Paradis Island!" Erwin Smith shouted in the court room.
There was total silence within the courtroom after everyone listened to what Erwin said. Nile Dok blinked a few times.
Historia Reiss' eyes were glued onto Erwin after hearing that confession.
After a moment of silence, Dhalis Zachary opened his mouth to speak. "Erwin Smith. For years, many people have believed that you were a monster or a devil for sacrificing multiple lives just for a seemingly hopeless goal. But now after today, many people will understand that all of those sacrifices have not gone in vain."
"I understand, Premiere." Erwin responded to Dhalis Zachary. He then imagined multiple deceased Survey Corp. members standing behind him. Erwin didn't bother looking back.
"You have done a great service for not only for not only the island of Paradis... but to every Eldian who lived under the oppression of the entire world." Dhalis cracked a small smile. "And for that, we thank you for all of your hard work." Dhalis Zachary, the premiere stood and solute to Erwin with one left arm behind his back and one right arm on his heart.
Many military officials stared at Dhalis Zachary, who solute toward Erwin Smith. Suddenly, Historia Reiss decided to stand from her seat and solute toward Erwin Smith, as well. Catching everyone's attention from both left and right sides in the courtroom.
Dot Pixis chuckled to himself, then solute to Erwin. Ten seconds after he had solute to Erwin, many Military officials in the courtroom had done it one by one. Acknowledging him.
One Hour Later
The three high ranking officers of their respective regiments were sitting at a circular table. There were two bottles of wine sitting on the table with a few glass cups on the table. The wine bottles were for Dot Pixis and Nile Dok, while Erwin refused to drink at this time.
"Dammit, Erwin. I never thought you would actually pull it off." Nile Dok told Erwin Smith as they and Dot Pixis held a private discussion in a room within the castle, Mitras.
"Well, I certainly did." Dot Pixis poured himself a glass of wine at the table.
"Yes. Our mission to bring peace between the world and Paradis was successful." Erwin told Nile Dok and Dot Pixis. 'Even though there is peace... not everyone is going to accept Eldians. It's going to take some time.' Erwin had thought of Gabi Braun from the crowd in Liberio.
"Well... at least we don't have to keep looking over our shoulder, anymore. We can finally drink in peace." After drinking a cup, a grin suddenly formed on Dot Pixis' face. "Tell me, Erwin. Did you find any pretty women out there?"
"Pardon?" Erwin asked and looked at Dot Pixis.
"I mean, you've been out there in the world for a while. There had to be a few women who noticed you, no?" Dot Pixis teased Erwin about meeting women.
At that moment, Erwin thought of a certain woman, then chuckled to himself. "No. Not yet." Erwin denied the claim.
"Ah, that's too bad." Dot chuckled. "I was kind of hoping you would meet a nice woman. Even though you had moments at deaths door."
"When the time is right, Commander Pixis. I will inform you." Erwin told Dot Pixis.
"Hey, Erwin. I read the reports from what happened in Marley. Eren Yeager slipped away from you and impersonated a Marleyan soldier. Am I right?" Nile asked Erwin.
"Yes. I'm afraid he did. But we were lucky to catch him... before anything catastrophic could've happened." Erwin answered Nile's question.
"How did you even know that he would be under that stage?" Nile asked.
Erwin gave the question some thought, then suddenly thought of Grisha Yeager's basement within Shiganshina. "I simply had a haunch."
Meanwhile, within the district of Stohess, Eren Yeager stood within a dorm room watching many people celebrate the Survey Corp. victory through a window, like there was no tomorrow. Stohess District had been in under reconstruction ever since the Female Titan attack and it is now three quarters complete. Eren continued wearing the Marleyan outfit he had worn on Marley, except for the jacket and Marleyan armband. Eren had worn a half-tired look on his face as he had stared for twenty minutes without turning his attention away. Suddenly, the door had opened up and the person who had entered the dorm room was no other than Hange Zoe.
"Hello, Eren!" Hange entered the room that Eren was in with a bit of excitement.
Eren did not bother turning his head to see Hange by the door as he could already see Hange through the glass window reflection.
"I see that you're watching the big celebration that's happening outside, huh?" Hange asked. "Yeah. Lots of people are celebrating that the one hundred year conflict between Paradis Island and the world coming to an end. And people are not just in Stohess District... Many people within other districts within Wall Maria, Rose and Sina are celebrating, too. I even heard that they're going to throw a huge festival within Shiganshina District, soon." Hange threw her hands up in the air, temporarily and sighed. "Too bad neither you or me could go, because... you know. I have to stay here and watch over you."
Eren remained silent and kept staring through a window.
"But, speaking of festivals, there's something that I want to ask you..." Hange turned her optimistic tone into a curious and serious one. "That night in Liberio... what were you doing in that basement under the stage? If we hadn't found, then... what were you going to do? Were you really going to attack Marley and ruin the peace that Erwin and everyone else worked hard to build?"
A few seconds passed and Eren did not directly respond. Then, he turned the side his head, slowly toward Hange and slowly opened his mouth.
"Ah. I see. So, Eren's in protected custody, then..." Nile Dok said.
"Yes. Until we find out what to do with Zeke Yeager, then Eren will continue to remain in custody." Erwin said.
"Wait, Zeke's here? On the island? You brought that hairy Titan bastard to the island?" Nile asked feeling surprised then .
"Relax, Nile. Levi is watching over him as we speak." Erwin said.
Meanwhile, Levi Ackerman and thirty Survey Corp. soldiers had escorted Zeke Yeager to the Titan Forest. It was the middle of the afternoon.
"Huh? This doesn't look like a hotel." Zeke said as he gazed at the tall trees while riding on a horse cart.
"Got a problem?" Levi asked while staring at Zeke. "A forest that grows at high eighty-meters tall. It won't be easy to get out on your own. You won't be pitching any Titan-sized rocks nor will you be calling forth any Titans anytime, soon." Levi told Zeke.
"It looks like a fun spot for lots of vertical maneuvering, no?" Zeke asked as he stared at the large trees. "Still... there is not a place like this that exists in the outside world." Zeke noted.
"I wouldn't be surprised if you turned Titan and started climbing and swinging on branches a bit." Levi mocked Zeke for having an apelike bestial Titan.
Zeke looked at Levi and met his glance. "I'm not good when it comes to climbing things-but I know someone who might be really good at it." Zeke then thought about Porco Galliard in his Jaw Titan form.
"Are you talking about that Titan called the Jaws?" Levi asked.
"So, you know Porco Galliard, then?"
"No. But we used to know someone who had that kind of power, until you and the Marleyans fed her to one of your own however long ago." Levi said, remembered reading the reports about Historia's friend, Ymir. He never directly met Ymir face-to-face, otherwise she would have gone to trail-just as Eren did.
"One of our own, huh?" Zeke then thought back when a tall female and slender female had arrived to Marley with Bertoldt and Reiner. Ymir decided to openly volunteer in passing down the Titan power to Porco. 'So, it was her. I remember, now.'
"Why in god's name would you invite him back to Paradis, Erwin. He killed so many of our people. And he almost killed you!" Nile said, feeling a bit irritated toward Erwin. Nile had a resentment for Zeke Yeager after he had been discovered a few years prior.
"I know. I had not forgotten what Zeke Yeager has done. I tend to make Zeke atone for his sins when the time comes. Until then, I need him.
"Wait, you need him? For what?" Nile questioned.
"Trust me. I have a plan. When the time comes, I will inform you. But until then, I need to leave you and everyone else in the dark." Erwin said, then left the circular table while Dot Pixis continued to drink wine.
Nile gripped his fists as he watched Erwin leave the room. 'I really hope this plan of your works, Erwin. If it doesn't, then I'll be the one who have Zeke fed.'
Meanwhile, Eren's friends such as Mikasa Ackerman, Jean Kierstein, Connie Springer and Sasha Blouse had all sat in a fancy room together. There was nothing but utter silence as they all thought about what happened in Liberio that night. They thought about what could've happened, if they hadn't caught Eren Yeager in time.
"I'm glad that the food in Marley was really tasty." Sasha said, breaking the silence in the fancy room.
