Within Shiganshina District... a Nineteen-year-old Eren Yeager slouched as he sat on the apron near the window in the fortress where his Survey Corps. friends were arrested in. He simply looked at the streets of Shiganshina. Watching dozens if not-hundreds of people partying and celebrating in the streets. His mind was currently in a void as he glanced out the window. He sat like a statue and just looked.

A minute had gone by, and he heard his name be called by a familiar feminine soldier.

"Eren."

Eren heard his name be called by a familiar voice. His eyes parted ways from the window where he was sitting next to and followed the voice. As his eyes glanced to the right... he saw one of his childhood friends, Mikasa Ackerman standing before him with a normal mild look on her face.

"Do you think that Zeke will hold his end of the bargain?" Mikasa asked.

Eren heard Mikasa's question and chose not to answer it as his eyes then glanced back at the window.

Flashback

Earlier that day, when Mikasa Ackerman was separated by her fellow Survey Corp. comrades... Mikasa had sat in a private room within the restaurant that Nicolo had worked in. Mikasa stared at Eren, face-to-face with her hands gently pressing down on the table that she and Eren were sitting. She didn't want to cause any sudden movements, or else she would assume that Eren would transform into a Titan.

"Please, keep your hands on the table." Eren said.

Mikasa did what Eren said and placed her hands on the table.

"I wanted to talk to you, Mikasa." Eren said.

"T-Talk to me?" Mikasa asked in response.

"Just a private chat. You and me. Conflict is not necessary to solve problems." Eren said.

'Eren...' Mikasa muttered in her mind.

"If you're wondering what's happening to the others... Jean, Connie, Sasha and the others will be fine. We're just relocating them." Eren told Mikasa.

"Relocating? To where?" Mikasa asked.

"You know. The place where it all started." Eren replied to Mikasa.

Mikasa gasped, then she suddenly thought of Shiganshina District. 'Shiganshina.' Her eyes had widened a bit, before they had lowered a centimeter. "I..." Mikasa hesitated for a moment as she attempted to speak a full sentence. "I've wanted to talk to you for some time, too, Eren. And I've been meaning to ask."

Eren continued to stare at Mikasa.

"On that night of the festival-when we caught you and Reiner in that basement. If we, the Survey Corp. did not stop you... were you really going to attack Marley during the Commander's speech? Were you going to destroy all those innocent lives? Their happiness?" Mikasa asked with such concern in her voice.

Eren did not respond to Mikasa's question. He waited ten whole seconds to respond to Mikasa. "I'm free."

"Huh?" Mikasa asked.

"Whatever I do is on my own free will." Eren told Mikasa with a calm voice.

"Mmph." Mikasa muffled. "I don't believe it."

Eren blinked.

"You're doing all this for revenge! To avenge Armin!"

Eren blinked.

"I know that you miss him very much and that you want to avenge him-just like you wanted to avenge Misses Carla!" Mikasa had then thought of an image of Carla Yeager stuck in debris. "And also, I think Zeke is using your means of revenge to lure you to his side! The real Eren I know would never let anyone try to control him. Your means of caring about us has grown a lot bigger than goal of revenge! Am I right?" Mikasa then stood up on her two feet and gently clutched her red scarf with her right hand. "And also... You saved me from those kidnappers, then. You did it because you're a kind person! If you hadn't came with Doctor Yeager..." Mikasa gulped. "Then, I might not even be alive right now!"

Eren the looked at Mikasa with a bit of a glare. "I said, "Please, keep your hands on the table."

Mikasa gasped, then sadly looked down at the table. She then sat back down and placed her hands on the table, again.

"There is another reason I brought you here." Eren said.

"Huh?"

"Do you remember that night when you found me in the woods staring down at the refugee camps?" Eren asked Mikasa.

"The refugee camps?" Mikasa asked.

"Yes. I told you about the refugees who lived in camps because they lost their homes in wars caused by Marley. You were worried that Marleyeans would catch me if I stood out here in the open for too long. We talked for a while. And then I asked... "What am I to you?" Eren asked.

"What am I to you?" Mikasa muttered. She then gasped as she realized what Eren was talking about.

"Now you get it." Eren said. "Tell me, Mikasa. I have a question. Has your answer changed, since then, or do you still see me as family?"

Mikasa gasped and blushed. "I... I..." She hesitated to give Eren an answer as she once again choked.

"I'll ask you, again." Eren said Mikasa had continued to choke and blush. "What. Am I to you?" Eren asked, again. But still had not gained a proper response. Mikasa panted, over and over again. He sighed to himself as he watched Mikasa pant, and then he slowly rose from the table he sat from.

"E-Eren?" Mikasa questioned as she looked up at Eren.

Eren just stared at Mikasa with a mild look on his face while standing. He slowly walked toward Mikasa, who was still sitting at the table.

Mikasa stopped panting when she saw Eren walk toward her and bend his right knee to reach her height. He quickly grabbed Mikasa's right hand with his own two hands, which made her gasp loudly. She looked down to see Eren's hands grasping hers. This action made Mikasa's entire head turn pink. Feeling embarrassed. Her heart begun to beat a second faster than it usually did.

"I'll ask you one last time, Mikasa." Eren said.

Mikasa's eyes then looked up to meet Eren's gaze. She stared into his strong green eyes. When she was a kid, she had always looked at Eren's green eyes. But this was different. It was as if Eren's green eyes had looked gorgeous.

"What do you think I am?" Eren asked, once more. "Family? Or..."

Mikasa's heart begun to thump very fast as Eren continued to grasp her right hand. 'Shit! What do I tell him? I know that I once told Eren that he was family in the past... but Eren, now... he seems like he's-'

Eren sighed.

"Huh?" Mikasa stopped her thought process for a moment. Her heart had also stopped thumping and the big pink blush on her face begun to dim.

"I guess your opinion hasn't changed at all." Eren said.

"What?"

Eren then slowly risen from the table and begun walking toward one of the dark brown doors in the room. "I'll tell the guards to get you and send you where the others are in the chambers."

Mikasa gasped when she heard Eren. 'He's going... to arrest me?' Her chest suddenly begun to tighten the farther he stepped away. 'No, you can't leave me, again!' Mikasa imagined everything pitch black around her and no one was there, except for herself and Eren Yeager. She imagined Eren walking into the pitch blackness.

As Eren Yeager stood in front of the doors... his left knuckle was a few centimeters away from knocking on the door. Alerting one of the Yeagerists to come and arrest Mikasa. Just before his knuckle could make contact with the door...

"I love you, Eren!" Mikasa screamed.

Eren had paused. His entire body had stood still. After a moment, he turned his upper back and head back around to Mikasa. "Say it, one more time."

"I-I said... I love you, Eren." Mikasa said with an embarrassed blush on.

"Hmph," Eren cracked a smile, then turned his full body around and walked toward Mikasa. "See?" He then walked toward Mikasa and grabbed Mikasa's right hand. "Was it really that hard to confess your feelings?"

Mikasa grasped in shock when she witness Eren take her right hand and grasp it with both his hands. 'T-This was a test?"

"We'll be leaving, shortly. Make sure to keep, this time." Eren said as he gently let go of Mikasa's right hand. Then he turned around and begun walking toward the door again.

Mikasa sat at the table for a moment and watched Eren leave the room. And as soon as he left, Mikasa just looked down at her right hand, which Eren had grasped. He noted how warm it was after Eren touched it. 'Eren... touched my hand. It felt warm...' She also noticed some blood on her right hand which came from Eren's right hand.

End Flashback

As Eren Yeager heard Mikasa talk he had attempted to open his mouth...

"Eren!"

Suddenly, Yelena ran inside the room where both Eren and Mikasa stood in with haste. And two Yeagerist guards with rifles in their possession had appeared behind her. "Eren! We have urgent news about Zeke!"

"Say it." Eren asked about Zeke, while staring at Yelena.

"I've just been informed by our scouts that Zeke Yeager has arrived outside the Shiganshina Wall!" Yelena had informed Eren.

"Good. Send him he-"

"But, there's a downside to it. Zeke has been captured and brought here by both Erwin and Levi." Yelena had also informed Eren.

Mikasa gasped when she heard about Erwin Smith and Levi Ackerman.

"Is it just them or are there more?" Eren asked if it was only Levi and Erwin, left

"There are more than a dozen Survey Corp. soldiers out there-which means, none of them had drunk Zeke's spinal fluids." Yelena had added to her information.

'Zeke's spinal fluids?' Mikasa asked within her mind.

"They are requesting an audience with you. What should we do?" Yelena told Eren.

It had taken one whole moment for Eren to respond to Yelena. He closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again. "Open the gates."

On the outside of the Shiganshina Gate...

Erwin Smith, Captain Levi and many surviving Survey Corp. soldiers that are currently still loyal to Erwin had all arrived on the outside of the Shiganshina wall. They had all returned on horseback. The Yeagerists that followed Eren, Floch Forster and Zeke Yeager were all riding on horseback, side by side with the Survey Corp. soldiers, but they had to endure a small punishment. Their hands were tied behind their backs with thick rope and their mouths. They also had guns shoved into their lower sides.

Zeke Yeager had a gun placed to his upper back directly toward the spine held by Levi Ackerman. He had fully recovered from his injuries.

Levi Ackerman stood close to Zeke while on his horse. He had his gun pointing at Zeke's upper back in close range and was hellbent on pulling the trigger. Especially after Zeke betrayed him. But, he knows deep down that he can't fire, nor kill Zeke. Next to Levi was Floch forster from Levi's seven o'clock. Whom was captured and restrained.

Erwin Smith had ridden on a horse in front of the group. He stared at the Wall Maria insignia on the front Shiganshina gate. Erwin had thought of the time when he led the charge against the Zeke Yeager as the Beast Titan, four years prior. And he was lucky to survive, because of Floch. But now things were different.

Suddenly, the large Shiganshina gate begun to open up, which surprised Erwin a bit.

Within Shiganshina District...

Inside the Shiganshina walls... were dozens of people still celebrating within the streets. A few people stopped to notice the Shiganshina gates open and couldn't help but wonder.

A tall middle-aged man with a bald head and a thick beard had stared at the Shiganshina gate. "What's going on, now?"

"Beats me." An elderly man with short gray hair on his head shrugged it off while drinking a glass of wine.

On the outside of the Shiganshina Gate...

"The gate is opened!"

The Survey Corp. outside the Shiganshina gate stared at the open draw gate. Some of the soldiers had confused looks on their faces and wondered what they should do. Should they enter or stay outside?

Erwin Smith had begun to think that the Yeagerists lead by Eren Yeager were suspecting their arrival. His eyebrows furrowed. '

'The gates has opened up, which means... they must've known that we were coming.' Levi had thought, then looked all the way up at the top of the wall and noticed that there was no one up there.

"Soldiers!" Erwin yelled to his soldiers while looking back. "We are moving in!" Erwin said as he slowly rode his horse closer toward the gate.

One of the Survey Corp. soldiers gasped and looked at Erwin's backside, confusingly. "What? We're moving in, already?

"Yes, we are. The Commander said so." Another Survey Corp. soldier said.

"But... this could be a trap, though..." The confused Survey Corp. soldier that is questioning Erwin's order said.

"Listen to your Commander!" Levi yelled to the Survey Corp. soldier as he looked back to him. "We're moving and that's fina-" But before Levi could finish his sentence... a gunshot had went off-which spooked the Survey Corp. And as Levi had looked back forward... he saw that Zeke Yeager had fallen down off the horse he was ridden on.

Erwin had looked back in surprise to see that Zeke Yeager had been shot directly in the right shoulder and that was what caused Zeke to fall off his horse.

"Who fired that shot? Well?" Levi asked his fellow soldiers.

"N-None of us did, Captain!" A female Survey Corp. soldier had responded to Levi.

Floch Forster suddenly looked up and lightly gasped. His eyes had grown a few centimeters bigger.

Levi heard Floch's gasp and quickly looked at him. He then followed Floch's gaze and looked all the way up at the top of the wall. And when he did... his eyes had widened in surprise. As Levi had stared... he had spotted Eren Yeager on top of the wall with a sniper rifle.

Eren Yeager had lied on his stomach and with a sniper rifle within his possession.

All of the Survey Corp. soldiers and Yeagerists that were captured had looked up to see Eren pointing his rifle all the way down at them.

"What the hell?"

"Is that Eren?"

"What's he doing up there?"

"Is he trying to kill Zeke?"

The Survey Corp. begun mumbling upon themselves as they had spotted Eren on top of the giant Shiganshina wall.

'That brat, Eren. What the hell does he think he's doing? When I get up there, I'm gonna have to teach him another lesson.' Levi thought as he glared up at Eren.

'Eren just shot Zeke. Which must mean that...' Erwin Smith, whom was in the far front had thought for a moment, then gasped. Erwin quickly looked back at Zeke to see tiny sparks electricity zap from his shoulder wound. This could only mean one thing in his mind... his eyes widened in horror.

"SOLDIERS! GET AWAY FROM ZEKE!" Erwin screamed as he faced his comrades. He tried to warn his comrades as fast as he could to get away from Zeke.

Levi looked at Erwin for a second, then down at Zeke. he quickly gasped as he spotted Zeke's body slowly glowing a yellow light as his right shoulder injury was sparking electricity. Meaning that he's about to transform into his Bestial Titan. "Shit!" Levi knew that his horse wasn't fast enough to flee from a transforming Zeke, so he had to use his Vertical Maneuvering gas to jump as far away from Zeke as he could.

Many of the Survey Corp. soldiers heard Erwin Smith and saw Zeke glowing. They were horrified and tried to move their horses away from a glowing Zeke Yeager. The Yeagerists that were captured and held at gunpoint were abandoned by the Survey Corp. soldiers. Being left to die as Zeke transforms into a Titan.

As Zeke Yeager was nearing his Titan transformation, Floch Forster made one final blink and stared directly up at Eren. Accepting his fate.

Suddenly, lightning had stricken down from the blue afternoon sky and directly at Zeke Yeager. The Yeagerists soldiers that were captured by the Survey Corp. and were abandoned and left by Zeke, including Floch Forster... had been struck by lightning in well point-blank range when a lightning bolt struck Zeke. Meaning... they had succumbed to their injuries.

As Levi was suspended in the air and jumping away from Zeke and the wall... he quickly turned back to see a yellow lightning bolt struck down from where Zeke was lying. 'Dammit! That brat, Eren must've planned for this moment to happen! He opened the gate up as a diversion, so we wouldn't notice him on top of the wall! Then, he waited until I took my eyes off Zeke!' Levi had thought about Eren.

"Ah, yes. I feel like myself, once again!" Zeke Yeager roared as he had transformed into his Bestial Titan, once more.

Erwin stared at Zeke's Beast Titan in horror.
