Chapter 32
Back at the domain.
Suguru stood there, rather puzzled to the young lady before him who was short, cute and yet had rather long red hair. "Hi!" she said happily. "I am THRILLED Nanami came back to my store! You know I was testing him…" she said offhandedly.
"Uh… huh… Well, if you need help, my name is Suguru Geto…"
She paused oddly. In fact, her eyes widened in shock.
"Oh! You must be Yua Tooru's husband!"
He froze to this, a depressing sigh followed. "No, we are not married, I have not asked and she is already married to someone else with three children and more on the way…" he said offhandedly.
However, she giggled to that. "Oh, that's just temporary. I am certain you are going to be accepted very soon! I'm Inari!" she said proudly.
Suguru nodded. "So… how did you meet Nanami?" he asked offhandedly.
She blushed. "For some time now, I've been on earth to hide from the males of the heavenly realm. But I had to do a trade off, Lady Tiamat said I can stay but I must give up my dragon form UNTIL I found a mate. For a while, I have been keeping an eye on the mortals of this world, some were nice, others not so much… but then, I saw him." She said he was a regular she always looked forward to, he was kind and never acted creepy around her. It was a respect she hasn't been given much of, but notices when it occurs.
"He was a regular after he quit being a sorcerer for a while." Geto said and nodded to this.
"Indeed, I knew his order right away. But I thought there was something more to him so I found a curse lingering around. I hid my aura and it became attached to me. Nanami took it out discreetly but never took credit… I knew then he was a sorcerer… and he was worthy to be my mate!" she said proudly.
Something is telling Suguru that dragons are complicated and yet simple in many things. "How did you do it?" he asked.
She smiled once more and explained that Nanami walked into her store, at first he thought she wouldn't remember him. Yet the moment her eyes came upon Nanami, she made his favorite sandwich. "I teased him in saying, 'did you really thinking I would forget?' He was rather surprised to the notion. So, I made his sandwich and hid a dragon pearl within. He ate it by accident of course, but, it was too late to do anything about it!"
'Sukuna must be thanking every deity he knows for the notion that Chusi isn't a dragon… he wouldn't be able to resist her or… well… I rather not think about that' he thought to himself.
"So that's why he was gone for a while…"
"Yep, but I took excellent care of him! The moment he woke up, I made him a feast! He has a very hearty appetite."
"Ah…" was all Suguru could bring himself to say. "Has he… accepted you?"
Her smile vanished. "He's a little upset with me now, but he will understand I do this for him, for us… I really missed him when he was gone… I knew he died since I was focused on his life force… Lady Tiamat told me not to lose hope or give up so soon… when I sensed him again… I… I couldn't believe it! Even more so when Lady Tiamat told me how to turn him so he won't die like that again…"
He was rather taken aback by it, but he nodded in understanding. "So… may I ask what kind of dragon are you?"
"I'm a harvest dragon." She said proudly. "How else do you think I kept an sandwich shop going all this time? It is similar to that of an earth dragon that can make plants grow. I can do that too, but I will have them grow and mature to their peek flavor and harvest them. No matter what I grow, it will never fail, nor will the produce rot for a prolonged period of time. Anything I grow or make with my hands, that food is good for a month in human terms!"
'I'm actually rather glad I never found this store…' Suguru thought once more.

Back at the school
Rook found footage, paper articles and other details from the past few years. The school he is in has never won an event in that timeframe. But, as he looked over the articles, he began to understand why. There were students in the picture that had strong family resemblances to sorcerers he has become aware of. Granted, those of the three great families would NEVER but any child of theirs in an ordinary school with humans, the lesser families do so for some sort of prestige. After all, humans respect winners, don't they?
The more Rook looked into it, the more he figured he is going to have to scope out the schools himself to see what is truly before them in competition.
When school ended, he kept true to his word. But he also found the Fushiguros join him on this. "We are going to get their confidence up, but we are NOT taking a dive to do so!" Rook stated.
They nodded. "Let's show them they are stronger than they look." Declared Hoshi.
When they entered the gym, they were taken aback a little. Not only was the wrestling team here, but sumo as well.
"Ah, this is PERFECT!" Rook decreed.
"Oh, sorry for coming unannounced there Rook, you see…" the sumo captain tried to explain himself.
Rook however waved off his explanation. "No, I am actually thrilled with this, both can benefit from one another."
In fact, on the fly, Rook made up a training regiment with the sumo and the wrestlers. He matched everyone to their weight group and explain what is going on. "Wrestlers, since you are going to be in the spot light of all this, we are going to make sure you're in tip shape to face the other schools head on. As such you are going to work on your grabbling." He explained.
He then turned to the sumos. "Gentlemen it's the same as sumo where you are trying to prevent them from getting a hold of you. We are not going to use any wrestling or sumo moves for the time being, your objected for the wrestlers is to get a grip and a firm hold on your sumo partner in training. Sumos, you are going to try and prevent them from grabbing you. Meaning, standing still won't do you any good."
They paused to this. "Are we training each other?" the wrestling captain asked.
Rook smiled. "Indeed you are, Ankoku, can I borrow you?"
He smiled and nodded. They stood on the wrestling mats as Rook asked. "Do you want to sumo or be the wrestler?"
"Sumo!" he said proudly.
"Okay then, now, I want the sumos to focus on Ankoku. Wrestlers, focus on me."
They took their positions, Ankoku took a more relaxed stance. Rook was using a typical wrestling stance, poised to grabble his opponent. As Rook went in, Ankoku would move to the side, to avoid the grab, at the same time, push the arms away. "You see this? Sumos you are going to work on your balance and sudden movement, be mindful of your footing so you do not injure yourself. This is to increase your reflexes and reaction time." Ankoku explained.
"Wrestlers, considering you have weight classes, at the same time, if we alter the weight class just enough it will help you grow. For the time being you are on par with your sumo counterpart who is training you. When we get a better understand of one another's abilities, we will increase the weight class on the wrestlers by one. The greater the obstacle, the greater the thinking must occur to counter that obstacle!"
"How are you so good at wrestling?!"
Rook paused but smiled. "My Oji." He said. "He's too strong to contend with, personal experience talking. But the fact remains I learned a lot from him. He's over four times my size and weight, but, standing toe to toe with him has been… thrilling." He explained.
If they only knew or understood that his uncle is Ryomen Sukuna!
"Now, any other questions?"
They shook their heads.
"Sumos, you do not have to dress in your gear unless you want to. Wrestlers, remember you are not to take them down, merely getting a firm hold is your goal! Begin!"

For three hours they trained.
Rook kept track of their progress and found each side were getting stronger. The sumo wrestlers are aware of their footing and move about more easily. But there is a flaw to this training. 'They are using wrestling mats, this isn't a sumo ring, after the event we do this again in the sumo setting' Rook thought to himself.
They grew tried by the last bit of the third hour, but the progress couldn't be denied.
"Shit man!" the sumo captain announced. "We weren't even fighting and yet… damn!" he decreed.
"When your body goes against it's normal training, it can take a lot out of it, you threw it off balance." Explained Daku. "When a new regiment is in place, it throws everything off. However, now your body is aware of this. Tomorrow you are all going to take a break."
"HUH!?" The masses roared. "We can keep going!"
Rook smirked. "I think you are going to want to heed his advice, remember. You have not trained like this before, so it's going to be rather hard on your bodies… in fact, talk to me tomorrow and tell me how you feel!"
They agreed to that, so for the time being, they were dismissed. When the two teams left, Rook turned to Hoshi. "Shin went on ahead and scoped the other schools with Mochi. I am certain we will have full details when we get home."
