Chapter 33
Suguru paused.
He doesn't mind having company over for a meal, yet, this seemed rather intense for school work. Rook was going over notes written by Shin, Mochi and even the Fushiguro sisters. Yet as he went through the pages, he sighed. "Bunch of cheats." He muttered.
"Something wrong?"
"Yeah, the other schools have been cheating for years!" he said. "Pops, I was looking into the school records and found that ours has not won anything in ten years, some areas are longer, but they got no awards. So I looked at videos from past school events… the other schools got a lot of sorcerers on their teams."
He paused to the news.
"We're back!"
The Fushiguro brothers called and had more notes. "So, according to our sis Nisha. The school she went to, the whole wrestling team… are sorcerers." Explained Daku.
"Some have a strengthening technique that they use before the match, at the same time, those not fighting are using their to throw off their opponents." Said Hoshi.
"But literally, every team are sorcerers, and no doubt they are using this to get some sort of recognition." Ankoku sighed.
"We don't have good odds at all… unless they get evened out… It's strange though. I saw the sorcerers at our school… none are on any teams."
"Some think it is below them to be on a team with humans," Suguru said gently. "More than likely the sorcerers banded together to form the teams and kicked out any humans or made them quit if they couldn't reach their standards."
"How is this fair?" Rook protested.
"It's not," Suguru stated. "It's hard to rat them out due to the circumstances at hand, at the same time, those looking to make this into a passion or hobby are being denied instantly."
Rook appeared to be biting his lip.
"You want to compete?" Suguru asked.
"But as you said…"
"This and that are completely different." Suguru said confidently. "You want to make this a fair contest, at the same time, it won't be fair to anyone else. If you think of it like that, personally, I think of it as evening out the odds." He said and smiled. "I will leave it up to you, but, if you and your siblings wish to compete… I won't stop you… in fact, I'll go and watch!"
Rook smiled, he turned to the Fushiguros who nodded as well. "Let's wait and see the day of, if we announce we're participating, the other schools may prepare a counter measure…"
"You sound like Sukuna…" Suguru said offhandedly.
Rook… is getting some of his best education from the King of Curses… the fact remains that Sukuna bothered to train him at all is a miracle itself! Does Sukuna know how much of an affect he has on these kids?
Part of him doesn't wish to know the answer to that…
"Let's keep training everyone and then, we make our move during the event if needed."
The boys came to an agreement,
"Are you forgetting us too!?"
He jumped a little, Suguru completely forgot that Nisha and Amaya were in Mochi's room. Shin was watching TV with Kiyoshi as they over heard the plan.
"Of course you guys can join us! The more the merrier!" laughed Rook. "Looks like we got some planning to do…"
"Why do you look so sinister when you utter such a thing?" Suguru asked.

Two weeks would pass.
True to his word, Suguru sat in the stands to watch the kids. He was recording too so Yua and Gojo could see the event when they get back. "Isn't it strange that it's been nearly two months since they went on a honeymoon?"
Suguru smirked as Shoko came with him.
Geto was being careful, and thankfully had a mask made by the Itadoris so no one would notice him. Shoko had one too since the council would be after her as well.
"I've been wondering that too, Lady Tiamat said something… happened that delayed their return, either way I think we are going to be in for a great story later" he said and smiled to it all.
But as he looked around, he found Rook was right. All the schools, everyone on their team was a sorcerer. They were still low ranked, too low for the council to take notice of them or even care, thus why they are getting away with this.
No wonder this school hasn't won a thing.
"Talk about stacked odds huh?" Shoko muttered as she took out a smoke.
"Indeed," Suguru peered down the stands. Rook and the others appeared to be on standby when he saw Mochi nod to the coach.
Did… did they team up with a teacher on this?
The coach got the signal, and blew his whistle once.
Suddenly, 9 random people began to look ill. One somehow managed to throw up on command. Instantly the officials rushed over to declare them unable to participate.
The other schools were smiling since they were down 9 people. However Rook stood up and approached the Coach.
"Want some help then?"
He froze, if this wasn't planned, this man need an Oscar for his performance!
"SUBSITUTION!" he shouted.
The lower bench was cleared.
Rook, Shin, Mochi, Kiyoshi, Daku, Hoshi, Ankoku, Nisha and Amaya stood and changed into track gear they had under their clothing.
"Oh look at this, the other schools!" Suguru said with glee.
Their once confident faces began to worry. They know of Shin and Mochi for certain. Rook… is the one they need to keep an eye on.
"Let's see how fast they realize that they are not going to let them get away with this…" Shoko said.
"If need be, I'll interfere as well… after all, the only sorcerers here are the children on the other teams…" Suguru said with a rather devious grin of his own. "Let's make this fun…"
