It was a quiet night in the city of London. The moon shined down on whoever was walking around during the hour. Fog formed around the streets as a tall man with long black hair walked on the cobblestone streets.

A stony look was plastered on his face. Severus Snape let out a breathless sigh. It's only been a week since he was turned into a vampire, but it was still clear in his mind.

Lily picked someone else. He could not believe that, but he knew he could do nothing to stop it. So, he was taking a midnight walk to clear his head. It was a quiet night.

However, it didn't help his angry brain. She picked him! Him, of all people. The worst person ever. She said he changed but no one could change just like that.

Severus let out a frustrated sigh as he walked down the cobblestone streets. However, he was so lost in thought that he didn't see the ghostly figure follow him leaving fog in their path.

He was on his way back home when he heard the laughter around him. "Who's there?" he demanded.

However, he didn't get an answer as he turned around to find nothing but fog. Severus let out an annoyed sigh before he continued to walk home. More laughter stopped him in his tracks.

"Do you want revenge? Some place where you will feel with friends? My master can help you," Severus shook his head. He wasn't going to listen to some voice from the fog. Where did this fog come from, he wondered.

"Show yourself," Severus demanded again but didn't get an answer. All he got was more laughter.

"The master will love you," the voice said. The next thing Severus knew was darkness.

Severus was shaken out of his memory when he smelled it, blood. He smiled to himself as he walked down the street to the source.

However, as he walked down the street, he got lost in how he could have saved Lily from his maker but yet he saved the man that took her from him and his little son as well. Severus sighed when he walked up to the source of the blood.

"Why am I not surprised," the man in front of him was short with graying hair and beating eyes.

"S-Severus," the little man stammered.

"Peter. Oh, how things change," Severus said with a half-smile. Peter was on his knees in the corner of the alleyway. His hands were in front of his face and tears were in his eyes. "I can see why he never turned you," Severus said, getting down to his knees to meet Peter's eyes. His teeth bared.

"Wait— please, don't—S-Severus don't," Peter said, making Severus roll his eyes.

"I remember saying the same thing to you," Severus said, shaking his head before he sank his fangs into Peter's neck. As he drank his blood, he was brought back to the memory of him being turned.

When Severus woke again, he found himself in a dark basement. The smell of fire and blood filled his nose. He opened his eyes to see a short man in fount of him. he was wringing his hands. "Yes, the master will turn me for sure," the short man smiled a little before he left the basement with a little chuckle.

Severus was left alone to his thoughts but all he could think about was Lily. She had picked James Potter. The man that bulled him. His best friend picked that idiot. Severus shook his head and closed his eyes. However, they snaped open when he saw a pale bold man with red eyes that glowed in the dark.

"Hello, oh yes, Wormtail picked a good one for me," the man said. His voice was smooth and calm. Severus didn't know what to think of it. It calmed him but he didn't want it to.

"My name is Lord Voldemort, and I can help take care of your problem," his voice was still smooth. Severus wasn't buying it though.

"How could you do that? You don't know me," Severus said, crossing his arms. Voldemort laughed without saying anything as he walked closer to Severus.

"You'll see," was all he said before long teeth came out. Severus's eyes grew wide.

"Wait—don't kill me, please. I still love someone, please…," Severus pleaded. Voldemort, however, only laughed before he bit down on his own hand before he walked over to him.

"Drink," he demanded, and Severus could not help but nod.

Severus sighed as he finished his meal. "Goodbye Peter," he said to the body letting it drop to the ground. He slowly stood up before he felt his maker's presence behind him.

"Good. Now come, we have a lot of work to do," Severus nodded before he followed Voldemort out of the ally, but a small smile was on his face.

He had to play along before killing the monster that killed Lily. He had to take him down. If it's the last thing, he'll do.
