My first day off so I just did nothing like I was told to.

Itsuki sat next to me in our spot looking over the village. There was a few missing buildings from before and one new one that was taller then the rest at four levels blocking the sunset from here and sadly that was the best part before even if the pretty green roof looked amazing.

I slid my hand into the bag but I hit his making me look down. It made me nervous as I pulled mine out and waited for him to grab his hand full.

Kakashi's words going in my head made me awkward and the air around me was stiff and weird and I wanted to not let him know. What would I even do? Do I ask him on a date or wait for him to? Kiss him? Then what? Do we go out, get married at some point?

I shut down my spiral of it and just grabbed more chips glaring away from his face.

"So your father got his way?" I asked.

"Yes, I am now a police to this place, they hold me highly due to the whole bomb thing, a couple actually seemed mad they did not think of it." His tone was light.

"What you uh, you been doing?" I stared at his pretty dark eye's as they slightly crinkled with his smile.

"Not much for the first day, one theft and got in between fights of other ninja's, that happens more then I ever knew."

"That sucks." I said not listening to well as his hand rubbed on his pants.

"Ah, it was more exciting then I thought, I figured I would just be walking around doing nothing."

"Crazy." I said distracted.

"You okay?" He asked, his pretty dark eye's peering into mine.

"Just lost, I mean that was weird right, so sad." I said about the bombs but lied and he leaned back sliding lower grabbing more chips. He picked up the bag and dumped the broken pieces in his hand stuffing them all in his mouth.

"Well, my break is over, first day can't mess up to much."

"Bye." I said wispy. The second he left I stuck my hands in my face. "You idiot."

Come the second day off I wondered into the book store and decided to hang around the romance section this time because of Kakashi showing me good ones. I grabbed a couple with pretty covers and headed home. Come ten minutes into the first I just tossed it on my bedroom floor sad it sucked so bad.

With a sigh I looked around unsure what to do not feeling like reading now. I leaned forward and just looked around at the mess, how there was so much stuff I hate in here that I could never really move or give away.

I loved my new bedding as I stared at it wondering if Kakashi ever changed his fathers home or did the man just have a clean and nice style.

I wanted a new couch as mine was old, brown and yellow with grandma flowers. Stains covering it as I am a messy eater at times. I stood up grabbing papers my mother left on the desk and I never moved, I read them ages ago and I took them to the garbage and tossed them in.

A strange feeling filled me like a small bit of something left my shoulders.

I stared at the small statue of this man I always hated but she loved. I picked it up staring at it before I smashed it on the floor into pieces giving me this free feeling and satisfaction I never thought I would get.

Sweeping it up I continued on and tossed things, grabbed blankets, books and shit I wanted out into a box for the orphanage. Only a few small object I wanted to keep, the ones that make me feel like my mother was still around.

Hating the old green cupboards and yellow table I got some white paint to make it feel cleaner and larger with a few small colored objects finding my style I liked and spending the money I seemed to have collected.

I fell asleep that night feeling like I finally did something. I am not sure what started this but I did not need to hold onto a time capsule anymore.

Come the next day I continued on, I grabbed a white rug for the bedroom to cover up the scratched floor stopped at the flower shop for a lot more green in my home and then dragged a small gray two person couch home. I got a few weird looks as I shoved it but no one cared to help.

I guess I am not hurt any more that I can do this fine.

I sat on my new couch and turned on my small tv, it felt amazing in here now, clean, less crowded and different. I could not find a show and leaned forward bored at being stuck in town for another day. What can I do?

Workout maybe.

I headed to the small compound training area, a large fenced in area with a few tree's, dirt ground and training dummies. I did my wind jutsu as it spun around me, stronger, better. I wonder if I could use it mid fight now, is it strong enough?

I walked forward sliding my gloves on with the metal on the fists and slammed my hands into one of the dummies' with speed hoping to get more strength. Maybe I should find gloves that have a small spike on them, I wonder if they have that. Maybe I can make it for myself.

"Ya of course she is here." I heard a quiet voice I know, that kid from the graveyard I could never forget, the way every time he sees me it is the same damn thing. I barely looked behind me but I got a quick look. "Her whore mother should not have named her with the Ino name." I heard.

"Ya." Some girl chuckled. "Look at her, what a stupid outfit."

I rolled my eye's and took the annoyance and shame from them into this dummie. "Hey you." He called out making me glare at them. "Oh." He waved his hands rudely. "Why you so angry." He laughed and she chuckled.

"Time to go." She spoke smirking at me with cold eye's. "We are here to train, leave."

I wanted to fight, I wanted to yell but I just sighed. I did not care, they can think what they want I am not big on fighting anyway, I go for the kill I hate the fight. I just walked passed them as they watched me laughing like they won.

Why are people so mean to my mom? She was kind, funny, bad taste in decor but a sweet heart. I stood outside my home just wishing for something else to do.

I slowly walked up the red and overly dark steps to the Hokage tower, they fixed it real fast. The building was new and nice but darker then last time. I got to the top and the door was shut telling me someone is inside and I need to wait.

I could even do a stupid D rank in the village just for something to do.

I leaned on the wall picking at my nails as I waited. Kakashi came walking up the steps in a normal ninja outfit confusing me.

I stared at him as he walked past me.

"Why?" I pointed.

"Do I know you?" He looked at me cold sending a shock through my body I made sure was not seen, is that not Kakashi? He paused in front of me and looked down with this small glint in his eye. "Kei." He moved to my right side and leaned on the wall, hands in his pockets.

"I like your Anbu outfit better."

"Most do."

"What are you here for?"

"Classified." He looked at me. "You?" What was this mood he was in? It is a little contagious making me smile at him kindly.

"I am bored." He nodded and we just stood there, I peered at him as he leaned with his eye closed. I wanted to ask why he was so happy for once. All I could think is what would make me happy? That was Itsuki coming around.

He is sixteen, maybe there is a girl.

That made me bit my lip thinking about him with a girl. He is very attractive actually, the mask makes him kind of mysterious, I have seen so many check him out, maybe one finally spoke to him.

I am sure he could tell I was staring but his eye stayed closed, I could not stop it. "Kiss a girl?" I asked he looked at me weirdly.

"Child." His mood dropped. "No." He said closing his eye again but shifting his body.

"Just turn around, you would see them looking."

He was quiet for a second. "I wont talk about this with a kid." The doors open as a few Ninja's walked off leaving the door open saying come in. He walked in shutting the door's behind him.

He stole it from me, it was my turn and I am fourteen, I crossed my arms in a huff.

Ya, okay I can see being a kid to him.

I stared at the door and closed my eye's sending my mind out into Kakashi's who almost stood in front of me. Call me a kid, I will be one. A small coy smile crossed my face and shut my eye's.

"Hi there." I spoke in his mind with a stupid smile.

"Get out."

"No, you ever notice how he smells like a mouse." I spoke to him about the Hokage. "That robe is extra right."

"Say that to his face." A pause. "But you smell like candy, easy to track." Hmm, do I need to change my shampoo and body wash to something more natural?

"Is that why you smell like a tree?" He was quiet but I was seriously interested. "His assistant has a nice ass right?"

Nothing.

"Ya, ya you like it." I smiled feeling silly.

"Shut up."

"You know.."

"I don't want to know." I smiled and stared at the floor holding back a laugh. "Location, 234 long, 334 lat." I shut up letting him take it in as I tried to think where that is.

"Near the land of hot springs?" I said.

"Get out." It was different so I did.

The longer I leaned and he took the worst I felt like that was stupid to do. I wonder what that guy thinks of me, I assume not good. I felt bad for being like a silly kid as he tried to get his mission or whatever he was doing in there.

The door opened as he walked passed me casually like I was nothing. He paused and did not look my way. "And yes, that is a nice ass, maybe someday you will have one."

I grabbed my heart with a smile feeling better. "Ouch." He peeked at me and walked off. "Good luck, the one on the mountain is both genders."

"Who are you?" He paused again barely looking my way but I could see his cold eye. "Where is the sweet girl?"

"I was never sweet."

"You collected sticks."

I bit my lip and looked away but he was just gone.

I waited a little bit when he called at me to come in, finally.

"I was hoping for a mission." I spoke with a smile as the real assistant smiled at me with that unsettling one on her pretty face.

"I got one for you." I turned and we all looked at the head of the Nara walk in. "If your not busy, I need some plants from the Ginshin forest." He stepped forward. "Was about to sign up a D rank, if it makes you feel better the bugs are huge there." He smiled down on me.

"I would not send you on one with a chance to fight right now, even if you think your fine." The Third spoke.

"That is south right?" I asked and he nodded handing me a page with a pretty picture of a flower.

"Need them for the new food pill being created."

"Ah why not."

"Well it is a D, your free to go alone." The third spoke and I nodded heading out and sliding the picture into my bra. Less then an hour run, better then sitting at home.

It was dark in these woods, creepy. Thick with fog slightly high in the trees.

It took a bit holding the page up to plants when I found them. I pulled out the bag in my backpack and started to fill it up when I heard a weird noise. A shuffle, made me peek behind me, I stepped back facing the biggest spider I have ever seen.

It was three times my size.

He was not wrong.

It ran at me Fangs moving to bite me. I quickly avoided him climbing a tree when he shot a web at me, I used my Kunai cutting it apart, over and over as it came at me. I noticed I was spreading sticky web all around me, I may get trapped if I keep this up.

I tried to climb the tree but the damn thing with his many legs was right behind me.

I tossed weapons with bombs, it hit as it screamed and shrunk into itself, I used the moment to slam down on it with a boosted Kunai cutting deep into it's back but it did not kill it, It just jumped into the air making me fly up, turning like it was smart and shot web at my feet with more skill then a genin with weapons.

I tried to cut it but it was to much. I tried to run but my feet were stuck together, I fell flat towards the ground below trying to free my feet, it jumped on me starting to spin me up, my arms stuck to my sides making me dizzy.

What the fuck?

This is embarrassing, glad I am alone.

Using my wind dagger I cut away one hand out as he spun me, I then cut out my other hand. Brought them together in focus. The wind started to surround me, faster and faster making it back off as it slowly cut me out of the web, I held it as I stood up kicking it off my feet.

It was stronger then I ever made it before.

It cut into the tree's around me as the spider backed up, sticking his front legs out like he wanted to jump in. He shot web but it got cut into pieces and flew away. Keeping the wind up with one hand I slid my hands into my pouch, boosting them I tossed my shuriken towards it. Cutting through its eye's this time it curled over, it's feet in the air shriveled and dead.

I dropped my jutsu.

How was a spider, a freaking spider, so damn hard to kill? It did help me with my jutsu, worked better then it ever did before, needed to use it in a battle to really get it right. Keeping my ears out for another I got back to the flowers, sadly a few were cut to pieces because of me.

I dropped it off at the Nara compound and headed out.

I was looking for somewhere to eat when I spotted Kurenai, she waved me over, I slid sitting on the table with my feet on the seat nodding at this young man with a smoke hanging in his mouth that sat next to her, he was kind of cute.

"Hey." I smiled nervous.

"Asuma, Kei." She pointed at us, he nodded back. "So, I was looking for you. There is this new genjutsu I found that you may get use out of."

"Oh ya." He spoke with a smile on his face. "That would be amazing for a Yamanaka."

"Sometimes I am sad people know exactly what clan I am from." I joked.

"It's the ponytail." He smiled. He seemed cool, like he was a chill guy.

"The eye's." She spoke with a smile.

She could teach me right here, it was a simple two signs. "Push it into my head." She spoke and I worried unsure as I did not know what it did. He slid closer to her, his arm around her making her look away and blush.

I took that in as I sent it.

Are they a couple?

Maybe some day I can be more a friend that can ask that.

That was when she slumped over and he pulled her to him laughing at me. I got scared. "What did I do?" I released it on her head and she slowly woke up, looking a little confused for a second, before she smiled at me.

"You just put her to sleep." He then slid back over giving her space, he held her because I put her to sleep?

"Damn, that was stronger then I thought, you must be good at genjutsu." She smiled at me so kindly.

"It was a head one, yin, from a Yamanaka." His smoke moving as he spoke.

"Right good point." She yawned.

"How long does it last?" I got so excited.

"About a minute unbroken." In a serious battle a minute is a long time.

"Thank you, I will get use out of that." My smile felt a little creepy as I pictured ideas. "You are right, perfect for me."

"So, we are heading to the movies in that one town not far, want to join us?" I looked worried as I did not want to be a third wheel. "Guy is coming when he is done his daily training." Oh.

"Yes." I got excited, no one asks me to the movies.

I leaned on the counter looking at the candy, the show was already running and I finished my food before it started. It was some crappy movie that was not even funny so I liked this break in the empty area.

Guy loves to talk but there was something about him that just draws me in, I like these people a lot. They treated me like an old friend and I felt welcome here. Some people in there are getting pissed at him for being loud. Other's I heard mumbling about Azuma's smoking. It made me laugh inside, he never not has one lit, he makes it look good and I could almost smoke one myself but I wont.

I wonder if they see me as too young as well.

"Get me some of these." I pointed to what Guy had destroyed in seconds and picked something for me along with a large popcorn and drink. I loved walking down the isle in the dark room and slid next to Guy glad there was not too many people here.

I handed him the candy looking at the screen and placed the popcorn between us saying he can eat some. Azuma was next to him then Kureani on the other side.

He stared at me holding his candy like I was ghost, it made me glance at him confused and back to the movie. His eye's teared up making me look at him fully. "This is so nice." He blubbered a little and opened it tossing like six in his mouth at once.

I just smiled at him amused and watched the movie.

We walked back to the village as the sun was setting in the sky.

Asuma was funny, I liked him and it felt so nice to be out here with new friends. Guy was almost skipping a head of us when we all paused and looked around. To the left I heard the small sound of shuffling. I stepped back as some random man jumped passed the road followed by another.

Just some leaf ninja's heading home through the trees. I watched Guy's face change from interested to silly. He moved so fucking fast tackling Kakashi as he passed the road. They were so fast as guy swung a few times and Kakashi dodged, they rolled and both were on their feet sliding away from each other.

"Kakashi." Asuma smile with that smoke moving. "There you are."

Kakashi just stood up slid his hands in his pockets looking calm as Guy screamed at him that he needs to fight him, Kakashi just looked at us all and nodded ignoring Guy making me smile when he grabbed his strange hair and screamed about him being to cool.

What the fuck.

This was awesome.

The team he was with gone in the tree's, I watched him look that way and then at us assuming they just are headed home. Kakashi then ignored us and jumped into the tree's after them but Guy was on his ass yelling about a race.

Asuma and Kure just chuckled to themselves like this was normal, I heard Guy yell something about winning as his voice was fading fast.

I looked at them and we followed them into the forest trying to catch up.

We moved so fast and I could barely hear Guy as he yelled far in front of us. Running so fast through the tree's got us home real quick. Landing at the gates I found Guy dancing around him just inside Khona as he stood there calmly.

Guy won?

Suddenly Kakashi was just gone making him stop dancing, his shoulders dropped and he stared at the ground sadly. "I try." He said softly making them all get sad. I looked confused when Kure mentioned something to me.

The reason he was getting worse is he lost everyone. The nine tails took who was left of his life and something happened during a mission he wont talk about. He is getting colder and more of a loner and that Guy is doing the best he can.

Asuma patted my shoulder. "Distracting him is the best thing to do." I nodded. So then, maybe I should annoy the fuck out the man, no matter how much of a kid I seem.

I laid on my homes roof, I tossed a kunai into the warm sky and cut it in half with my wind dagger, it fell into two pieces beside my head. I am getting better at them all and it made me happy, getting stronger every time I try it.

I heard the old women from across the way make a noise, I did not look knowing it was because of me.

I want to know how to switch Chakra element's.

I read a bit about it recently. Most jonin can switch to at least their second one and I should try for once. The last book I read made it sound like a pie inside you, each one with less water then the next, you need to pull that water into the main pie or something.

I tried but I need a real teacher for it.

Then I can find out what my second one was. If good enough you can mix the two together and make a rarer jutsu. I am not ready with wind but I am curious.

I sat up and looked down the road where the courtyard was, my grandpa is probably there with the old Nara playing that old mans game. He is all I have to ask even if I feel weird to I hopped down.

"Hey, how are these young men doing today?" I asked looking down at the board.

"Spry but it is hard to get up." Nara spoke, my grandpa gave this look to his friend, like 'what the fuck' before he looked at me, I did not understand and I think he saw that making him smile.

"How are you my pretty Kei." He pushed my bangs away kindly and I did not feel wrong to ask now before he patted at me to sit next to him on the stone bench.

I slid onto it. "I was wondering if you can help me switch my chakra element."

"I was waiting for you to come ask me for something." He smiled at me. "I will gladly help you learn anything dear."

I looked down and pointed to one piece. "You are about to be over taken." They looked at it and at me.

"Damn she told you my plan." Nara smiled.

"I saw it you old fool."

"I don't believe you."
