"All right, are all my ghosts ready to go," Adrien smiled at his three kids. "Ready!" came back the reply. "Emma, your on my tail!" Hugo yelped, wearing the black cat miraculous under his ghostly costume. "Sorry! Louis, you okay?" Louis gave a gleeful giggle. "Ready for candy and sweets!"
"Then let's go!" Marinette, their mother, was hosting a party at her parents bakery, and Adrien would take them after trick-or-treating. "Now, before we begin, we could go the traditional route of trick-or-treating, or we could try something else," Adrien told the kids. "What did you have in mind, Papa?" Emma asked. "Well, one day a year, Andre the ice cream man has a candy cart full of any candy you could want. If you find his cart, you get your pick of ice cream along with your candy. Now, does anyone want to find Andre?" A chorus of "mes" was followed up by a "Up, Daddy, up!" by Louis.
Adrien downloaded the clues onto his phone and asked his daughter to read the first one.
"You'll find the first clue in the park nearby,
For a statue of bronze and beauty are here."
"Mama and Papa's statue!" Hugo cried. "Good job, son," Adrien said, and under his sheet, Hugo smiled.
"We've reached the park! And there's the statue! Can you give me a boost, Papa?" Emma's hand grasped a piece of paper and she slowly slide it out.
"Here's the next clue!
Walk ten paces from Ladybug's yo-yo and do Cat's dance.
If you can your groovy on, you'll find the next clue!"
"Hmm, this one is a bit trickier," Hugo said, rubbing his chin. "Papa, I didn't know you dance." "Oh, Andre's talking about a very special dance, one I only do when pigeons are around." The children looked at each other. "Mr. Pigeon's dance!"
Adrien laughed as his kids tried hard to copy his dance moves, some were pretty good, but some looked like the chicken dance!
"Oof! I think I found the third and final clue," Hugo grunted.
"I'll read the last one," Adrien said.
"You've walked and danced as you've solved my riddles,
Now, who's ready for a delicious treat?"
"Certainly the Agreste kids are ready for some ice cream and candy?" Andre appeared as if from no one. "He's magic," Louis said in awe, as he held his brother's tail.
"Line up kids. I have some spooky flavors of ice cream and candy!"
A few minutes later, the Agreste's sat on one of the park benches. "Ice cream is nice," Emma licked her cone as she sat on her father's lap. "But I think doing things as a family is the most fun!" Adrien smiled. "I couldn't agree, my little ladybug. I couldn't agree more."
