Within the House of Hearth, the magician assistant Lynette sat in the kitchen dripping a nice cup of tea until her ears perked up at the sound of a door opening.
Lynette looked to see her twin brother Lyney come in through the door carrying baskets full of eggs.
"Lyney what's with all the eggs." She ask curiously.
"Oh well you know how me, Freminet, and some of the other children of the house do this thing where one of us 'it' every year and the rest of us nail them with pranks?" He ask his sister to which she nodded remembering this tradition they set up years ago called Trickery Night.
"Yes well it's that time of year again for another Trickery Night."
"Okay well who's it for this year's Trickery Night?" Lynette asks, receiving nothing but a sly smile from her brother.

Inside the pot Aether was looking out the window of his house cautious of what it to come tonight.
Earlier in the week Lyney had come to him to inform him of the yearly Trickery Night tradition that he had form for the House of Hearth. A night where someone from the house would be chosen to be pranked on by everyone throughout the night and was wondering if he would like to participate for this year's Trickery Night as the chosen person.
Aether saw no harm in it as Lyney assured him that it was all good fun, so he accepted. Still, he can't help but feel wary of the types of pranks he would be given by the children of the House of Hearth.
Looking out the window again he was surprised to see Kirara coming towards his house.
Aether wondered what the youkai was doing here, he doesn't remember inviting her but that doesn't mean she wasn't welcome.
So he decided to go out to greet her.
"Kirara hi." He greeted to which the youkai greeted back.
"Hi Aether, how are things?"
"Things are fine right now, so what brings you here?" He asks.
"Oh that's right I have a package for you." The delivery girl rummaged through her sack until she brought out a wrapped box.
Aether found it strange though, he doesn't remember ordering anything unless Paimon ordered it. He quickly dismissed the thought as she mostly spent her money on either food or maybe a new mystery novel at the bookstore.
"Thanks…hey wait you wanna come inside for a snack." He offered but the cat girl gently declined saying she still has packages to deliver.
Understanding her position Aether bid her farewell as she departed from the teapot.
Aether turned around to go back inside but was surprised to see Lyney and his brother Freminet standing in front of him both holding bags full of eggs which they began throwing at him.
Aether summoning his sword barely protected the package in his arm as he was bombarded by eggs.
"Wha. Aha aha ha guys guy stop stop it this isn't even my package." Aether showing the non-egged package to them.
The Magician and Diver didn't believe him as they saw the whole thing.
"Really now, then whose is it?" Lyney asks.
"I believe that package belongs to me." A voice said.
The three turned to see the Duke of the Fortress of Meropide walking towards them.
"And I would appreciate it if you didn't get eggs all over it. I'm pretty sure it's a crime in Fontaine for damaging packages." The Duke walked towards Aether who handed him the package.
"Sorry I got your mail Wriothesley, uh hey if you don't mind me asking what's in there?" Aether asks.
"Oh nothing much just some tea from Inazuma, I heard that the Inazumen's brew some of the finest tea in all of Teyvat so I had to order some." He told him to which he, Lyney, and Freminet were not surprised about knowing the Duke's fondness for tea.
(Later)
After the egging went back inside and took a quick shower to clean himself but it was mainly to freshen up for tonight's company with Lynette.
Right now the two are in Aether's room naked after having a very hot and very steamy session.
"Wow that was amazing Lynette." Aether complimented.
Lynette turned around smiling at Aether.
"It was good for me too." Lynette told him in a more masculine voice, a voice that Aether recognized.
A look of horrified realization appeared on Aether's face as he realized that it was Lyney not Lynette he just slept with once he got a good look at his face.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Aether screamed at the top of lungs as Lyney laughed uncontrollably as he took off his wig showing Aether that it really was him with his natural shorter hair than his sister's.
"Hahahaha! Got you again Aether!"
"Lyney what the hell! How!?"
"Hehe many of my tricks involved Lynette and I cross dress as each other to fool the audience, we even go far as to imitate each other voices so this was easy."
"But..we just… did th the the stuff…we just did." Aether stuttered as the horror of what they did earlier began to rise more.
"Oh don't worry I just used one of my props for this, so I didn't feel a thing." He said. "…but you did!"
The horror on Aether face intensified as the memory of what happened replayed in his mind.
It was in that moment did Freminet head pop from the window.
"Happy Trickery Night Aether."
(Later)
Lyney can be seen walking towards Aether's house but before he could reach the door it was kicked open with Aether walking out sword in hand as he pointed the sword at Lyney.
"Stay away from Lyney! Just stay away!" Aether furious as hell warmed the Magician.
Lyney held his hands up defensively. "Whoa okay relax Aether no one wants to hurt you right Freminet."
Hearing the nearby bushes rustling, Aether turned and saw Freminet run at him with a syringe.
Aether couldn't react quickly enough to avoid being injected with the contents inside the syringe.
"Gotcha!" Freminet shouted.
"Ha Cleptits!" Lyney shouted but Aether just smiled.
"Jokes on you I already got it."
Seeing that their first attempt failed Lyney pulled out a syringe and injected Aether.
"Garnorear!"
"I'm a carrier!" Aether said getting smugger.
Freminet pulled out another syringe and injected Aether.
"Hatorin!"
"Patient zero, you guys are going to have to try harder than that." Aether said with a smug.
The Magician and the Diver spent the entire time trying all sorts of known mushrooms diseases on Aether but none of them worked.
'Sign' "I'm sorry Freminet but we're all out of known diseases…unless" An idea pop inside Lyney's head.
Running out into the open Lyney hailed a blimp which flew him out of the pot, once out the blimp took him to the docks where he took a boat to Liyue Harbor, from there he snuck his way into the Chasm.
Lyney traversed the depths of the Chasm until he found what he was looking, slowly he walked towards a glowing mushroom with bits of purple ooze seeping from his.
Carefully he picked it up and put it inside a container.
Rushing back to the pot the Magician had a new syringe in hand.
"Okay what this is has no name so you can't have it." The Magician said before injecting the syringe into the Traveler.
At first nothing happens but then Aether face suddenly swelled up turning into a deep shade of purple with blood coming out his eyes before falling over unconscious.
"We got him." Freminet chuckled.
"Trickery Night is fun." Lyney said.
(Later)
Later into the night the time of pranks from Lyney and Freminet had come to an end and the two were now with Aether on an airship traversing the skies above Fontaine admiring the nation below in the moonlight.
"Ah the city looks lovely from up here." Lyney complimented.
"Yeah it sure is." Aether agreed.
"And look at all those ships." Freminet pointed to all the ship at the docks.
"Yeah look at them all." Aether said darkly as he steered the airship towards the ships.
"Whoa Traveler what are you doing?" Lyney asks.
"I don't know Lyney something just awaken inside of me, I can feel my blood boil in my veins." Aether then turned the straight down into a nose dive towards the ships.
"I do in the name of the Abyss Order!" Aether shouted as Lyney and Freminet kept screaming.
The airship was getting dangerously close to the ship that both Lyney and Freminet thought that this was the end for them.
"Do you know what they called this from where I'm from!?" Aether ask suddenly.
"WHAT!?"
"Payback!" Aether then snapped his fingers then suddenly the trio was back on the ground with the airship as if they never taken off.
Lyney and Freminet took the time to catch their breathe before turning towards Aether.
"Aether what was that!?" Lyney asks as Aether looked back at him smiling.
"Pranks on you assholes! Haha I got you guys good."
"What? But how?"
"Mirror you idiot the oldest trick in the book." He said as the mirrors around them begin to fall. "And I had help from my lovely assistant Lynette." He said with the cat girl revealing herself from her position. "She agreed to help me after I told her how you made me have sex with Lyney you sons of bitches!"
Freminet eyes widen in shock at the news as he turned his head around to face his brother.
"You two actually had sex?"
"I may have gone a bit overboard on that one." Lyney shrugged.
(Later)
After getting off the blimp the four headed back to the House of Hearth to end their little prank war.
"Well I can safely say that tonight's Trickery Night was…eventful." Lyney says.
"Yeah it was." Aether agreed.
"Traveler if you're ever in Fontaine for next year Trickery Night I do hope you'll join, you were quite the sport in this year Trickery Night."
"Yeah well we'll see goodnight you two."
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
With that Lyney and Freminet headed back home leaving Aether and Lynette alone.
"Hey again I want to thank you for helping me, Lynette."
"After what my brother did to you how could I say no?"
"Well it's getting pretty late better get to home to rest." He said.
But before he could go Lynette stopped him. "Hold it Aether."
"Huh what is it Lynette?"
"My payment remember."
"…Oh…right well I am a man of my word so let's get this over with." Aether cupped Lynette cheeks as he slowly brought himself closer to her.
But just as he was a few inches away from her lips a pie was slammed into his face.
Aether was taken aback by the sudden action as he blinks a few times until his eyes landed on Lynette who was smiling.
"Happy Trickery Night." She said before pulling him down for a kiss.

Hey everybody this is Nicdragon8 coming out with a one-shot.
I know it's been a while since I last updated anything but life has really been getting in my way lately so I couldn't do much of any writing during that time.
But in honor of Halloween I wrote this one-shot of Genshin Impact and it was based off a skit from one of my favorite shows.
I'm pretty sure this skit is recognizable as it came from the Halloween special of that show.
