Roland was just eating and eating, he spent seven nights and days without food, so he grow a bit of a hunger, as Roland consume the rice and meat, as his family watch him in surprised.

"It's been so long." Roland said with his mouth full, as he take a sip of his drink, before taking a deep breath. "Wow, he consume them all." one of Roland's older brothers said.

"So, now that you pass the Final Selection, what's next?" Roland's mum asked. "He will receive his sword, but it will come in ten or fifteen days."

Everyone looks to see Haruto speaking. "Haruto." Roland said. "Roland, I am pleased that you are recuperating." Haruto said as he smiled. "So did you meet anyone there?" Roland's mum asked, as he thinks, Roland did not want to bring up the prejudice he had to face from the other examinees. "Well, I met this guy named Akio." Roland replied.

"oh really?" Roland's mum said as Roland smiled before turning a sad look on his face. "Yeah, but he didn't make it through." Roland replied. making everyone a bit quiet. until Roland realised that he had made it awkward.

"I'm fine now, no need to worry about it." Roland said, trying to cheer things up, until Haruto interrupted him. "Anyway, Roland, there's something I want to give you." he said.

Roland was taken to the garden shed that Haruto had made his home. He took Roland to show him green armour, as Roland was amazed by it.

"I made this armour for you, it's not the usual clothing for a demon slayer. but I saw one of your drawings and decided to make it as a reward for passing the final selection." Haruto said as Roland looked at him and ruffled his hair.

"Roland, I want you to know that I'm proud of you. I believe that you will be a great demon slayer." He said as Roland smiled, trying not to cry, but small tears still appeared from his eyes.

-15 days later-

A man came to Shirabiro village wearing an amigasa hat with small bells that rang from the steps he took. That man arrived at his destination.

He knocks on the door as Roland answers it. Roland looks at the man, seeing that he is wearing a hyottoko mask on his face.

"ummmm, hi?" Roland said. "Hello, I'm Mifune Kyushichi. I'm here to deliver the sword that I forged for Roland Whittingham." he said. "Oh, that's me. I'm Roland." Roland said. "Excellent, may I come in?" Mifune asked as Roland let him in.

Later, Roland was holding his sword as his family, Haruto and Mifune, looked at him. "Now, can you take your sword out? We need to see what colour it will turn." Mifune said. "color?" Roland replied, not sure what it meant.

"Nichirin swords are known as colour-changing katana and will change colour depending on the bearer." Haruto explained this to Roland. "oh, ok." Roland said this as he took out his sword. He looked at the blade before it changed from silver to a green-like colour.

"Wow," Roland said. "hmmmmm, interesting." Mifune said. "I agree." Haruto replied. "Ummm, sorry, but what is interesting? Has there never been a green blade before?" Roland's dad asked.

"Oh no, there has, it's just that your son's blade is more of a strong green, the colour of the blade means what type of breathing style they have. and usually green means wind breathing." Mifune said.

"However, Roland's breathing style was not windy. It's like the wave of an aura." Haruto replied. "huh, Really?" Roland said as he looked at his sword. until his bee-eater came in from the window.

"Roland Whittingham. I bring you orders."

Roland and his family were surprised that the bird could talk. But Haruto was more confused about why Roland got a blue-tailed Bee-Eater and not a Kasugai crow.

"You must go to a town south-east of here, you must hurry, as many people are disappearing." the Bee-Eater said, making Roland shocked to hear it. "Hunt down the demon and destroy it. Prepare yourself well, Roland Whittingham. This is your first assignment as a demon slayer."

Roland nodded and had a serious look on his face as he put on his demon slayer uniform and green armor. "Awwww, my handsome boy." Roland's mum said, making him feel embarrassed.

"so you're staying in Shirabiro village?" Roland said as they stood outside the house. "Yes, I think it would be best if I protected your family." Haruto replied as Roland smiled. "alright. I'm off." Roland said as he waved Haruto and his family goodbye.

Before leaving, he saw Akina waiting for him. "Akina, is there something wrong?" Roland asked. "So your really going?" she said. "Yeah, sorry, but I have a new duty as Demon Slayer." Roland replied as Akina gave him a box. "Then here, this is for your journey." she said. Roland smiled and took it. "thank you." Roland replied, making her blush a little, before he headed off.

Two people were walking at night, one of them was holding a lamp oil. When they heard some noise coming around, they tried to tell who's here.

Before they noticed, a demon with a dark beard and a very long tongue appeared behind the lamp oil before blowing the lights out..
