Scene: Rooftops of the Jardins du Trocadéro. Following the events of the previous episode, Ladybug and Cat Noir are seeing the news report of Monarch, on Ladybug's yo-yo.
Monarch: (in the news report) People of Paris! I am Monarch, more powerful than ever! From now on I will be attacking you tirelessly! Unless someone brings me Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous…
Clara: (in the news report, from a helicopter) The main question on everyone's lips: how did Monarch manage to get his hands on the Miraculous Ladybug was supposed to protect? (The news report then plays a birds eye view recording of a scene from "Strikeback", where all the Miraculous heroes are running on the rooftops. Ladybug pauses the video and zooms in on Flairmidable.)
"Seriously?! Are we still on that same day?!" Adrien asked in disbelief along with everyone else that they're still in the same day as the previous episodes.
"I know what you mean, kitty cat. That is one long day, especially for the both of us," Marinette said as everyone else nodded in agreement.
Ladybug: I thought the holder of the Dog Miraculous was Adrien Agreste. You know who I'm talking about?
Cat Noir: (scratching his chin) Uhm— vaguely, yes. (Camera pans sideways to show advertisements featuring Adrien Agreste all over Paris.)
Everyone in the audience chuckled at what Cat Noir just said along with the Adrien advertisements on-screen.
Ladybug: (shows him the Wiki Page of Félix, on her yo-yo) Well, it turns out Flairmidable wasn't Adrien Agreste, but I didn't know that, and I mistakenly gave the Miraculous to his cousin, Félix. He looks so much like him, he passed himself off as Adrien.
Cat Noir: So that's how he stole the Miraculous from you.
Ladybug: (nods) Yes, and now Monarch has them.
Cat Noir: In that case, they both made a mistake, because that proves the two of them are linked somehow.
Ladybug: We have to hunt down Félix. Let's switch to hyper speed. (Right as Ladybug and Cat Noir are about to take off, suddenly, Su-Han jumps in front of them, surprising the superheroes.)
"UH-OH!" Everyone in the audience exclaimed upon seeing Grandmaster Su-Han appearing on-screen, already knowing what he's going to say to the two heroes.
Su-Han: Ladybug, you were supposed to protect the Miraculous! You have failed in your duty as Guardian!
Scene: Monarch's lair.
Monarch: Dark wings, fall! (He detransforms into Gabriel and all the kwamis appear in front of him.)
Gabriel: (walking towards the terrified kwamis) I swore, I had you all under my control! Granted, two of your friends managed to get away from my dear nephew Félix and the Miraculous of the Rabbit did get away from me. But don't be fooled, now that your powers are mine Ladybug and Cat Noir's kwamis will soon join you!
All the kwamis whimpered in fear at the thought of being held captive like they are on-screen.
Scene: Rooftops of the Jardins du Trocadéro. Su-Han is confronting Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Ladybug: But I did protect the Miraculous!
Su-Han: Then explain how they're no longer in your possession! The fifteen that remained in the box, including the Rabbit! What would happen if Monarch decides to use that Miraculous to change the course of time?
Cat Noir: He already tried.
Su-Han: I—
Cat Noir: (interrupting Su-Han) But don't worry. We got it back and put it somewhere safe. We entrusted it to an exceptional holder!
Ladybug: (also interrupting Su-Han) And we're gonna do the same for all the others!
Cat Noir: (again interrupting him) Because we finally have a clue that might lead us to Monarch!
Ladybug: (once again interrupting Su-Han) So instead of blaming us, help us, Grand Master, and trust us for once! (Hearing their arguments, Su-Han falls on his knees and bows his head in front of them.)
Su-Han: (bowing his head) You're right, Ladybug, I should have helped you. Instead, I let myself be distracted by the modern world like these incredibly expensive shoes (shows his shoes) and these electronic gadgets that wasted away four months of my existence with videos of cute kittens! (shows his phone, which is playing a cute cat video) I've been a guardian for longer than you have, I am more experienced and stronger. Instead of being a piercing spear, I should have been a protective shield.
"Huh. I never thought you two would have Grandmaster Su-Han crying at his knees," Master Fu said, genuinely shocked along with everyone else at the celestial guardian's outburst on-screen.
Ladybug: (embarrassed) Fine, fine, but please get up. You know everybody makes mistakes. So, just try to find something you could do to help us. That'd be great.
Su-Han: (standing up) You are right! I'll go back to the temple to get some backup. (Su-Han hops away, jumping from roof to roof, leaving a bewildered Ladybug and Cat Noir)
Cat Noir: (to Ladybug) He's not going to leap all the way to Tibet like that, is he?
"If indeed that guy does show up, we really should tell him about transportation like airplanes," Adrien noted to himself and Marinette in which everyone else chuckled in agreement after chuckling at that awkward moment on-screen.
Ladybug and Cat Noir: (eat the Space Power Potions) Power Up! (they transform into Cosmobug and Astrocat respectively)
Cosmobug: Let's find Félix. (They both fly away. She's scrolling the Wiki Page of Félix, on her yo-yo) Félix Fathom is the son of American billionaire, Colt Fathom, who died last year, and aristocrat Lady Amelie Graham de Vanily. (While flying they see Wayhem crossing the road and wave to him.) A triple Kung Fu and horse-riding medalist, chess prodigy and England's youngest graduate. (both of them pass into an underground train tunnel and emerge from the ocean, and fly in the skies of the city of London) He lives in London with his mother, the twin sister to the wife of famous fashion designer, Gabriel Agreste.
Scene: Inside Félix's home. Cosmobug and Astrocat interrogate Félix's mother.
Amelie: My son wasn't here this morning, when I woke up. I didn't worry though, because I thought he might have gone to see his cousin Adrien in Paris. Those two are so fond of each other, but Félix wasn't returning my calls, though I contacted his uncle Gabriel; he told me he hadn't seen him.
Cosmobug: And yet he was in Paris I talked to him.
Amelie: Oh, Cosmobug, Astrocat, I hope nothing's happened to him!
Cosmobug: Don't worry, ma'am. He'll probably end up at his uncle's.
Astrocat: Or he might already be on his way back home to London.
Amelie: Thanks so much to the two of you for your support!
"So, my cousin has disappeared and could be anywhere with the Peacock Miraculous in his possession. That's just great," Adrien sarcastically groaned as he facepalmed in exasperation.
"Don't worry, kitty cat. Felix would have to turn up somewhere sometime," Marinette said to her boyfriend in comfort and everyone else murmured in agreement.
Wait till the end when you find out. Angel thought to her audience (especially the two heroes).
Scene: In the sky, above the clouds.
Astrocat: What if we're wrong about Félix?
Cosmobug: Do you think he might be one of Monarch's victims instead?
Astrocat: I just don't know.
Cosmobug: He was our only lead to recover the Miraculous.
Astrocat: We'll find more leads. Monarch will keep attacking and we'll figure out what happened to Félix.
Cosmobug: Until we do, we're gonna have to be more careful than ever. With all the powers that Monarch has now, we have to expect anything at any time!
Astrocat: I know.
Cosmobug: Let's head back. It's been a long day… (The two begin their flight back to Paris.)
"No kidding, girl! How have you two not collapsed from exhaustion by now?!" Alya asked in disbelief as well as everyone else while the two heroes shrugged in response.
Scene: Parisian streets. Cosmobug and Astrocat fly their seperate ways. Landing on the road, Cosmobug checks if anyone is around, and goes inside the sewers.
Cosmobug: Spots off. (detransforms into Marinette. Marinette gives a macaron to Tikki to eat. Tikki notices the sad face of Marinette but proceeds to eat the macaron.)
Scene: Interior, Dupain-Cheng's Residence, Marinette's room. Marinette enters her room and looks around. She remembers the kwamis playing around and grows sad. She then picks up the sewing box, containing the Miracle Box, and puts it inside her trunk and sits down. Tikki sees that Marinette is very upset, but Marinette gives Tikki a reassuring wink and calls Alya.
Marinette: (on the phone, with Alya) Alya? Yeah, I'm okay. I'm back home. Can you come and sleep over tonight? Thanks. See you in five. (ends the call)
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, Adrien's room. Astrocat flies into his bathroom.
Astrocat: Claws in! (He detransforms into Adrien and steps out of the bathroom. After giving Plagg a piece of Camembert, he looks around his room until he finds his basketball. He grabs it and reminisces about his time with Félix when they came up with the plan to switch identities to trick Gabriel.)
Félix: (in memory) Remember how we would try to be each other when we were little? Well, we're gonna do the same thing. Because unlike you, I can say no to your father. (Adrien throws the basketball in anger, snapping out of his memories.)
Adrien: I never should've let Félix influence me. I should've listened to Marinette.
"See, m'lady? You shouldn't have to take full blame for what's happened. This is my fault too," Adrien reassured and cuddled Marinette in comfort in which she gave him a warm smile in response.
Marinette: (from flashback) Why don't you tell them all that you don't wanna do this?
(After a few moments of contemplation, he has decided to confront his father, once and for all.)
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, Gabriel's atelier. Gabriel is seen drawing new fashion designs on his monitor as Adrien enters the room.
Adrien: Father, I have something important to tell you, but I don't know how.
Gabriel: Get to the point, Adrien. You see, I'm busy.
Adrien: I don't want to be a model anymore!
Gabriel: (briefly scratches his left arm) Fine, if that's what you want. (Adrien gasps in shock.) Was there something else? (Adrien exits the room and closes the door.)
"Am I hearing this right, dude?! Your old man won't let you model anymore if you don't want to?!" Nino asked in jaw-dropping shock as well as everyone else.
"IT'S…THAT…EASY?!" Adrien asked in extreme exasperation towards both himself and his father on-screen.
"No way it's that easy, kid! Your dad is definitely up to something new," Plagg said with a suspicious frown and soon, everyone else murmured in agreement with suspicious frowns too.
Scene: Interior, Dupain-Cheng's Residence, Marinette's room.
Marinette: There'll be no more holders, no more Rena Rouge, no more Carapace because of me. Monarch is stronger than ever before!
Alya: It's not your fault, Marinette.
Marinette: Of course, it is! It all happened because I mistook Félix for Adrien! Can you believe that?
Alya: Of course, I can! Félix was passing himself off as Adrien. He would've fooled anyone!
Marinette: Not me! I say I'm in love with Adrien but maybe I don't even know him.
Alya: Of course, you know him! You've been through so much together! (scenes from "Gamer", "Style Queen", "Gorizilla" and "The Puppeteer 2" are shown in the background) You practiced your video game skills together in this very room, he wore your fashion designs, you went to the movies together, you even kissed him at the Grévin Museum! I mean, even though you thought it was a statue.
Marinette: (panics and hides her face behind her pillow) Oh no! I did do that, didn't I? (removes her face from the pillow) But see? It proves my love for him is blind! I can't tell the difference between the actual Adrien and a statue! And because of that, I made the biggest mistake of my life: I lost the Miraculous and their kwamis!
Alya: You already got one back! And you'll get the others back, too.
Marinette: As long as I'm fighting against Monarch, I can't be distracted by my love for Adrien. I don't deserve him anyway. No more intricate plans to get him to fall for me! I can't afford to make any more mistakes!
Alya: Hello? Need I remind you you've tried to not be in love with him before?
Marinette: This time, though, I'll do whatever it takes. The safety of Paris is at stake! I have to be the Guardian of the Miraculous before anything else! (Marinette's phone rings and fumbles over her phone in panic, throwing it in mid-air, as soon as she knew Adrien was calling her. Luckily, she catches her phone safely.)
Alya: Well, well, well. A boy you don't love is calling. Are you gonna pick up?
Marinette: (distancing herself away from her phone) No, no, no! I don't know him! I don't pick up calls from strangers!
Everyone in the audience bowed and shook their heads while chuckling towards the moment on-screen, except for the blue-haired girl herself who blushed in embarrassment.
Alya: (answers the call after snatching the phone from Marinette) Marinette Dupain-Cheng's assistant, who is this?
Adrien: (from the phone call) Alya?
Marinette: (whispers to Alya) Tell him I'm not here!
Alya: Marinette is telling me to tell you she isn't here, which is frankly embarrassing.
Adrien: (from the phone call) Oh, that's too bad. When she's back, tell her my father's fine with me not modeling anymore.
Alya: What? You don't wanna be a model anymore? Now that's a scoop!
Marinette: (snatches her phone back from Alya, enthused) You had a heart-to-heart with your father? That's wonderful!
"Aren't you not supposed to be here?" Adrien teasingly asked his girlfriend who shoved him in response while everyone else laughed hard in amusement.
Adrien: (from the phone call) Marinette, you're back!
Marinette: (in slight panic) Yes! Uh, I was gone but now I'm back! I do that sometimes. I'm a black belt in going back and forth, actually.
Adrien: (from the phone call) I've been meaning to tell you. Ever since I started school, so many new things have happened to me. There's still a lot I fully don't get but there's one thing I know: my life would be very different without you in it. You've always been there for me. You're in every rough patch, giving me good advice. You're special. Thank you, Marinette.
Marinette: (tongue-tied) Uhh… y-you're welcome?
Adrien: (from the phone call) I mean it. I want you to know how important you are to me, and hopefully, someday, I can do as much for you as you've done for me.
Marinette: Uhh, well that sounds great! See you tomorrow, then?
Adrien: (from the phone call) Sweet dreams, Marinette.
Marinette: Y-yeah… (ends the call)
Alya: (ecstatic) That's it! That's it! You two are finally gonna fall in love! See? You do know each other!
Marinette: What? It's not like that, he's just a school buddy, somebody I know, kinda', but not that well.
Alya: (groans in complete frustration) You gotta be kidding me! (Marinette puts up a contemplating expression, whether she should pretend or be truthful about her feelings.)
"We are right there with you, Alya!" Alix said as she and everybody else groaned in exasperation towards the two heroes who blushed in embarrassment.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, Adrien's room. Adrien is seen smiling in front of his phone as soon as his call with Marinette ended.
Adrien: (as he lays on his bed and turns off his phone) Marinette is so… special.
Plagg: If you insist on saying "she's just a friend" with that silly smile on your face, then you're as fake as pasteurized cheese! (Adrien closes his eyes to sleep, with, according to Plagg, a "silly" smile on his face.)
Scene: Outside Agreste mansion. A car drives in and Nathalie walks out. Gabriel looks from his office, as she walks to the mansion but averts his gaze. Nathalie walks into Adrien's room and sees that Adrien is sleeping peacefully. She smiles at him and walks out.
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, inside Miss Bustier's classroom. Mr. Damocles, Alix's father, Alim, and a visibly pregnant Miss Bustier are standing in front of the class.
"Now, Alix, your father is telling your class about you being Bunnyx and that you have to be away for a while," Angel noted to her audience, especially the tomboy teen in which they all nodded in understanding.
Alim: My daughter, your friend, Alix, will be away for some time. Ladybug has authorized me to tell you that Alix was chosen to be a superhero, Bunnyx. (The projector behind him shows a picture of Future Bunnyx in future Paris. Their classmates woo in awe, except for Marinette who looked crestfallen as Alya consoles her by holding her hand.) She will travel through time so he cannot take her Miraculous. Once he's been overpowered, she can return.
"Miss Bustier, have you put on weight?" Kim asked his teacher without thinking, noticing Miss Bustier's baby bump on-screen.
"You don't ask a woman that, idiot!" Alix reprimanded her athletic rival with a punch to his arm while also glaring at him along with everyone else.
"It's not just any weight gain, Kim," Angel noted to the teen athlete and then turned her attention to Miss Bustier. "You do know, don't you, Miss Bustier?"
"Well, I've been having symptoms. And I was gonna take a test before I was brought here," Miss Bustier said with wide eyes as she began to catch Angel's drift. "So, that means…?"
"Yes, Miss Bustier. That test will come out positive," Angel said to Miss Bustier who began to tear up in joy before she turned to the audience. "Everyone, Miss Bustier is pregnant. She's going to have a baby!" Everyone in the audience then excitedly began congratulating the young teacher on her pregnancy. After a few moments, Angel replayed the episode.
Mr. Damocles: Thank you, Mr. Kubdel. We can only commend you and your daughter for your courage. Everyone should be ready to help Ladybug and Cat Noir like Alix was.
Miss Bustier: Not only that, you don't have to be a superhero to support them.
Mylène: But Monarch is really scary now!
Max: (calculates on his phone) And rightly so! He has now 78.95% of the Miraculous, and higher odds of winning.
Nino: (Turns to look at Max from his desk) Max, statistics are cool and all, but you're bringing everybody down right now.
"Yeah, dude, please don't bring up stats unless they're good," Nino advised his genius classmate who blushed in embarrassment while everyone else murmured in agreement to what Nino just said.
Ivan: Usually when you're scared, you practice yoga and it works! (embraces Mylène)
Marinette: Ivan's right, Mylène. Maybe you can help people like you balance their emotions. We can't let fear get the better of us.
Rose: (happily and putting her arms in the air) Monarch won't win if we stay positive! (The whole class cheered, except for Chloé who was about to make another negative remark.)
Chloé: You guys are tired of being scared? Then, why don't we give Monarch what he's after? It's because Ladybug and Cat Noir are incompetent that we're all in danger. (crosses her arms and looks away) This would never have happened with Queen Bee!
Lila: (replying to Chloé) Ladybug is young, Chloé. With all those responsibilities and powers, she was bound to make a few mistakes. We have to find the strength to forgive her. It shouldn't be a child's duty to fight Monarch. (Marinette glares at Lila.)
"And another subtle way of putting me down," Marinette noted as she frowned at the lying girl on-screen.
"Well, in a way, she's not wrong, sweetie," Sabine said to her daughter in which everyone else reluctantly murmured in agreement. After some thought, Marinette reluctantly nodded in agreement too.
Sabrina: It's true! It's usually my dad's job to stop bad guys.
Alya: You're right, Lila. We can't let Ladybug down! (The whole class cheered once again.)
Scene: On the Eiffel Tower. Ladybug and Cat Noir are on the lookout for any possible attacks from Monarch.
Interior, the Agreste mansion. Adrien is seen going down the stairs to prepare to go to school, until he sees Gabriel and Tomoe conversing in Gabriel's atelier. He stops for a while to see what the two are up to until Gorilla closes the door, blocking his sight. Gorilla then escorts Adrien out of the mansion.
Exterior, Collège Françoise Dupont. Gorilla opens the car door as Adrien steps out the vehicle and joins Nino, Alya and Marinette who are waiting for him outside the school. He high-fives with Nino, fist bumps with Alya, and attempts to kiss Marinette on her cheeks but to Marinette's panic, she holds her hand out to Adrien instead for a handshake, to Alya and Nino's annoyance.
"Wow! You're really set on trying to abandon your feelings for me, huh?" Adrien sadly asked his girlfriend who sadly nodded back in agreement, but the two then held hands with warm smiles at each other.
Place des Vosges. Mylène, Ivan and a couple other people are doing yoga.
Interior, Césaire residence, living room. Nora trains Alya and Nino in boxing.
Scene: On the Eiffel Tower. Ladybug and Cat Noir are still on the lookout for Monarch, albeit in a less active passion. Cat Noir checks his staff for any information.
Exterior, Collège Françoise Dupont. Gorilla opens the car door as Adrien steps out the vehicle and joins Nino, Alya and Marinette who are waiting for him outside the school. He high-fives with Nino, fist bumps with Alya, and again attempts to kiss Marinette on her cheeks and this time when she holds her hand out to Adrien, Alya pushes it down. But Marinette then offers the other hand for a handshake, to which Alya facepalms.
Place des Vosges. Mylène and Ivan are doing yoga but with fewer people.
Interior, Césaire residence, living room. Nora practices boxing, while Alya and Nino play video games.
Scene: Unknown tech scanning room. Adrien is being processed by a scanning arm, which is observed by Gabriel, Tomoe and Lila. After Adrien's scanning is complete, Gabriel gestures to Lila to go next. Adrien looks at Lila skeptically as she is being scanned.
"What's going on here?" Adrien asked as he saw himself and Lila being technologically scanned by his father and Mrs. Tsurugi on-screen.
"Your father and Mrs. Tsurugi are digitizing both you and Lila, so that you two are still faces of his fashion brand, but digital, so that you won't have to model live anymore like you wanted," Angel explained to the teen model who nodded in understanding along with everyone else.
"So, what exactly are we modeling for?" Adrien curiously asked about himself and Lila on-screen.
"A new technological design by the Gabriel brand and Tsurugi Technologies that will become so important throughout this season," Angel vaguely answered which left her audience still in confusion, so they turned their attention back to the screen.
Place des Vosges. Now only Mylène and Ivan are doing yoga.
Interior, Césaire residence, living room. Nora is now cheering on Alya and Nino while they play video games.
Scene: A news report plays on a display TV, along a road.
Nadja: (from the news report) It has been weeks since any villain last attacked Paris; could this mean that Monarch is no longer a threat?
"Yeah, I wish it were that easy!" Marinette said as she disagreed with what Nadja said on-screen. "If he's been absent for so long, he's obviously planning something more sneaky and elaborate," Marinette then said about Monarch in which everyone else murmured in agreement.
Scene: On Eiffel Tower. Ladybug and Cat Noir are playing cards, instead of patrolling.
Cat Noir: You've gotten pretty good at rummy, m'lady. But, not as good as me.
Ladybug: We'll see about that, kitty cat.
Cat Noir: Do you think we're rid of Monarch?
Ladybug: (looking at the city) That would be too easy.
Cat Noir: And still no news from Félix.
Ladybug: Nothing. So weird...
Scene: Exterior, Collège Françoise Dupont. Gorilla opens the car door as Adrien steps out the vehicle and joins Nino, Alya and Marinette who are waiting for him outside the school. He high-fives with Nino, fist bumps with Alya, and this time Alya holds both of Marinette's hands down, so that she can't offer a handshake to Adrien. Just as Adrien is about to kiss Marinette's cheeks, Ikari Gozen suddenly jumps in front of them.
"Third time I'm trying to kiss Marinette. Is there something going on here that we should know about?" Adrien asked as he pointed to himself and Marinette.
"Let's just say things between you two are going to drastically change throughout this season," Angel vaguely answered much to her audience's frustration.
Ikari Gozen: All these old buildings are from a bygone era! (Ikari Gozen then strikes and destroys Collège Françoise Dupont with her sword, much to Alya and Marinette's astonishment) It's time to smash the old Paris to the ground and turn it into a modern city! (Ikari Gozen jumps away, and Marinette looks on gapingly)
"That's my mother's goal as Ikari Gozen this time? Destroy old buildings and try to turn Paris into a more modern city?" Kagami asked, extremely confused about her mother's re-akumatization as Ikari Gozen on-screen as well as everyone else.
"You'll see once she is de-akumatized," Angel once again vaguely answered to her audience who turned their attention back to the screen. Wait till you all find out what that woman's actual goal is. Angel thought towards her audience with a look of concern.
Alya: Lucky for us, Ladybug is gonna come and save us, right?! (annoyed) She's gonna come and save us! (pulls Marinette away)
Adrien: (awkwardly) That's right, and we... we're gonna go and hide! That's right, hide! (quickly runs away, leaving Nino behind)
Scene: Parisian streets. Marinette and Alya run to safety.
Alya: You're still the best! You always have been. You've got this.
Marinette: Thanks, Alya. (Alya continues to run away, and Marinette walks into a nearby alleyway) It's been so long; what does Monarch have in store for us?
Tikki: Don't let doubt take over, Marinette. You are an amazing Ladybug!
[Transformation Sequence]
Marinette: Tikki, spots on! Ha! (Marinette transforms into Ladybug. Ladybug yo-yo swings out of the alleyway.)
Scene: Métro platform. Adrien walks down some steps closer to the train tracks and allows Plagg to fly from his shirt.
Adrien: We're back in business, my friend!
Plagg: That quiet spell was so wonderful! I knew it couldn't last...
[Transformation Sequence]
Adrien: Plagg, claws out! (Adrien transforms into Cat Noir)
Scene: Parisian streets. On the rooftops of the Jardins du Trocadéro, Ladybug and Cat Noir meet up to face off against Ikari Gozen.
Cat Noir: So, we finally hear from Monarch, and the best he can do is a rerun of Ikari Gozen?
Ladybug: Except we didn't have to fight her on our own last time.
"Yeah, you two are gonna have to do without other superheroes this time like Ryuko," Angel noted to the two heroes who nodded in understanding along with everyone else.
Cat Noir: We can do this, m'lady. We've been our own before! (Ladybug grows a reassured smile.)
Ikari Gozen: (approaches the duo's direction) Ah! Ha, ha! Two more Parisian antiques. Ladybug, Cat Noir, it's time for you to be grounded!
Cat Noir: Hey, we're not that worn out. We'll prove it!
Ikari Gozen: Paris needs more modern heroes! (Ikari Gozen strikes at them with her sword, but Cat Noir deflects the attack by extending his staff. Ladybug leaps up and tries to wrap her yo-yo around the sword but her aim misses; she is hand flicked by Ikari Gozen far away.)
Cat Noir: Ladybug! (Screaming, Ladybug lands into some trees and then falls onto the ground. Cat Noir meets up with her.) Are you alright?
Ladybug: (getting back focus) Fine. Thanks. (The two then hear a loud crash nearby; the Arc de Triomphe was destroyed by Ikari Gozen, who is laughing maniacally.)
Cat Noir: Oh no. The Arc de Triomphe!
Ladybug: Don't worry, Cat Noir! I can fix everything.
Ikari Gozen: (continues laughing and gallops away) You'll have to defeat me first, Ladybug! (The superhero duo leap onto the rooftops and chase after her.)
Ladybug: You're gonna have to Cataclysm her sword. That's where the akuma was last time around.
Cat Noir: You can count on me. I love architecture too much to let her keep going like this.
Ikari Gozen: I'm going to rid Paris of this old palais. (Before she can use her sword to strike at another building, Cat Noir leaps towards her.)
Cat Noir: Cataclysm! (tries to touch her sword with his power, but she dodges) She's too fast!
Ladybug: (watches Cat Noir desperately try and destroy Ikari Gozen's sword) Only if we could stop her blade. (seeing Cat Noir miss again, she fires her yo-yo and manages to wrap it around the sword this time, much to Ikari Gozen's annoyance.)
Ikari Gozen: Multitude!
"This is when she uses the Mouse's power of multiplication," Angel noted to her audience who nodded in understanding but still had their eyes wide in shock.
Ladybug: Multitude? (watches Ikari Gozen split herself into multiple, slightly smaller clones) That's the summoning of the Miraculous of the Mouse.
Cat Noir: That's the power of multiplication.
Ikari Gozen: Let's get this over with once and for all! (The clones spread out into Paris, destroying more buildings like the Tour Montparnasse and the Eiffel Tower. Ladybug and Cat Noir leap out of the way to avoid an incoming attack from one of the clones.)
Ladybug: (avoiding incoming attacks) Monarch gave the Miraculous of the Mouse to Ikari Gozen?
Cat Noir: (also avoiding incoming attacks) Good, cause that's the one we're gonna get back next!
"Except she doesn't actually have the Mouse Miraculous with her, right?" Marinette asked about Ikari Gozen on-screen in which Angel nodded in confirmation.
Ikari Gozen: It is I who is going to get your Miraculous. (strikes at Ladybug again with her blade but misses)
Ladybug: (dodging and blocking attacks) So, you're interested in these ancient jewels now? I thought you only care for modern technological things.
Cat Noir: Nicely played. You should give us your old Miraculous, Ikari DO-zen. It's not modern enough for you.
Ikari Gozen: (the clones approach the duo) Old things can have a purpose provided they are modernized. (When they continue to attack them, Ladybug and Cat Noir hide under some wreckage.)
Cat Noir: We're gonna have to break all twelve swords?
Ladybug: No. It should only take one. She made identical copies of herself.
Cat Noir: Why don't you summon your good old superpower?
Ladybug: Lucky Charm! (A fishing rod falls into her hands.)
Cat Noir: Do you think she'll take the bait?
Ladybug: We just need to find the right fishing spot. (using her Lucky vision, she sees the fishing rod, the destroyed Collège Françoise Dupont, Ikari Gozen's sword, a steel beam and Cat Noir.) Found it. Here's what we're gonna do. Take this. (gives Cat Noir the fishing rod) You're going to - (whispers her plan to Cat Noir. Ladybug catapults herself from the wreckage, into the sky, with the help of her yo-yo. As she begins to fall, some of the Ikari Gozen clones prepare to strike her, but she swings away with the yo-yo, prompting the Ikari Gozen clones to follow her. When they go away, Cat Noir comes out of the rubble and runs away in the opposite direction.) So, what? There are six of you, and you can't get my Miraculous from me? You're kinda slow for a so-called technological villain, Ikari Dozen! (She then leads them to the destroyed Collège Françoise Dupont and stands in an open demolished room, where Cat Noir is already hiding. She says to Cat Noir through her earpiece) Are you ready?
Cat Noir: (through his earpiece) FisherCat in position.
Ikari Gozen: (preparing to strike Ladybug) Make way for the new world! (She attacks Ladybug with her sword, but Ladybug timely dodges. The sword strikes a bookcase, due to which a pulley chain reaction occurs, and the fishing rod's hook pulls the steel beam down, blocking the guard of Ikari Gozen's sword. While she struggles to pull the sword out, Cat Noir Cataclysms the sword.)
Cat Noir: Touché. (Ikari Gozen yells in defeat and watches the sword break; the megakuma comes out of it.)
Ladybug: No more evildoing for you, megakuma. Time to de-evilize! (captures the akuma) Gotcha! Bye-bye, little butterfly. (opens her yo-yo and lets the now purified butterfly out. The Ikari Gozen army of clones summoned by Multitude disappear all around Paris, and the Ikari Gozen with the destroyed sword is de-akumatized.)
Cat Noir: (returns the fishing rod to Ladybug) Looks like we've still got it, m'lady.
Ladybug and Cat Noir: (fist-bump) Pound it!
"Pound it!" The two heroes once again fist-bumped and kissed in victory.
Tomoe: (emerges from Tatsu) What happened?
Cat Noir: You were akumatized.
Tomoe: How could I help it? They refused to let me demolish the Buttes-Chaumont Park to make way for my techno-pole.
"That's the reason my mother was akumatized? Seems hardly a reason she'd be akumatized over," Kagami noted about her mother in confusion as well as everyone else.
"That's the story she tells those two," Angel answered while pointing to the two heroes much to their and everybody else's continued confusion.
Ladybug: You can build it somewhere else. Mrs. Tsurugi, can you check whether you have a Miraculous with you?
Cat Noir: Monarch must have given it to you after he akumatized you.
Tomoe: What does it look like?
Ladybug: It's a coin with a hole in the center, worn as a pendant.
Tomoe: (checks herself) I don't have anything like it with me.
Ladybug: (surprised) How did Monarch do it, then?
Cat Noir: That's the surprise he had in store for us after lying low for so long.
Ladybug: (realizes that her earrings are beeping) We have to go. Miraculous Ladybug! (as the magic ladybugs fix all the damage, she gives a magical charm to Tomoe) This magical charm will help you remember that some emotions can cloud our judgment.
"I'm still giving those out, huh? Even when there's already a weakness for them?" Marinette asked about the magical charms in which Angel nodded in confirmation.
"Well, until you can work your way around their weakness, it's still better than not giving them out at all," Angel noted in which after some thought, everybody else murmured in agreement.
Cat Noir: And that the old monuments of Paris are some of the reasons why this city is the most beautiful in the whole world.
Tomoe: Thank you.
Ladybug: Bug out! (After Ladybug and Cat Noir leap away, Tomoe sits in her car, which instantly drives away.)
Tomoe: Tatsu, take me to the office.
Tatsu: Yes, Mrs. Tsurugi. (Via a smartring, Tomoe video calls Gabriel.)
Gabriel: Tsurugi-san.
"Whoa! What is that ring all about?" Alya asked about the new Alliance ring on-screen along with everyone else.
"Yeah! I have the latest of everything and I've never seen a ring like this before!" Chloe pointed out in mild annoyance.
"That's because that ring was just invented. That was the new invention that she and Mr. Agreste were using Adrien and Lila's digital images for. It's called Alliance, a technological ring that acts like a smartphone: calling people, GPS, playing games, asking random questions, etc. It kinda makes your phones look ancient and old-fashioned," Angel explained the intro to the Alliance rings much to everyone else's astonishment and excitement. "Don't get too excited, everybody! Those rings play a major part on how Monarch was able to transfer Miraculous powers to his supervillains without actually giving them a Miraculous," Angel then pointed out much to her audience's jaw-dropping shock.
"HOW?!" The audience exclaimed in confusion to which Angel responded by pointing to the screen.
Tomoe: The prototype works perfectly.
Gabriel: In every way. We can move on to the next step.
"Wait! Is my mother…?" Kagami began to ask about her mother's involvement until Angel interrupted her.
"Yes. I'm sorry, Kagami, but your mother knows that Mr. Agreste is Monarch and has been working with him. Their partnership isn't just for their businesses," Angel gently admitted to her audience who looked at the Japanese girl with sad and pitiful looks while Kagami began to tear up in sadness with Luka trying to comfort her. "Her akumatization as Ikari Gozen this time was actually a test run for using Miraculous powers through that ring."
"But, why?" Kagami asked with tears in her eyes with Luka still trying to comfort her.
"I don't know exactly why. From what I could gather, Mr. Agreste owes her for something that I don't know yet and she's been working with him, so he can pay her debt sooner," Angel explained as she shrugged and everyone else sported confused frowns in response. "Anyway, here comes the commercial for the new Alliance rings."
Scene: Alliance commercial. Gabriel stands in a plain white cyclorama. An ad begins with an animation displaying the insides of an Alliance ring, which zooms out to the product itself.
Gabriel: The ties that bind us are precious, unique. They can all be found inside a jewel. Unique, Alliance. Alliance informs.
Adrien: (struggling to solve a math question in his room, he asks his ring...) Alliance, can you please tell me what the square root of 71,174 is?
Alliance Lila: 8.14261!
Gabriel (voice-over): Alliance guides.
Lila: (whilst walking down the street, she turns to her ring) Alliance, can you please tell me where I can find the best shoes around here?
Alliance Adrien: Five hundred feet down the street is a Gabriel store.
Gabriel (voice-over): Alliance protects.
Adrien's Alliance Ring: Megakuma alert. Megakuma alert.
Adrien: (whilst sitting on a bench at the park) Thank you, Alliance. Can you please tell me where to hide? (Both Adrien and Lila run and meet each other at a Gabriel store on the street. They walk inside, facing each other, and join hands, presenting their Alliance rings.)

Scene: A tech conference programme at the Grand Palais. Both Gabriel and Tomoe hold hands as they stand on the stage upon an audience.
Gabriel: Bringing you closer together. (The audience gives the two a standing ovation. Among the audience is Adrien and Lila.)
Lila: (to Adrien) Oh, your father is a genius! (Everyone still applauds. Gabriel gestures to Adrien and Lila to come on stage with him, to which they oblige; Lila instantly, but Adrien hesitantly.)
Adrien: Father... is that why you digitized me?
Gabriel: Yes, my son. I am freeing you from your career as a model. That is what you wanted, isn't it? (Adrien grows an astonished expression.)
"Fascinating invention," Max said in astonishment towards the new Alliance rings along with everyone else.
"Too bad they're used for evil," Marinette pointed out to what Angel said earlier. "But it's still not explained how he was able to transfer Miraculous powers through those rings."
"It'll be explained in the next couple of episodes," Angel answered much to everyone else's excitement.
"Why does my father look different?" Adrien asked curiously about his father's new appearance on-screen.
"Somehow from being Monarch I suspect," Angel answered as she shrugged in response.
Scene: Epilogue. Back in London, Amelie, while carrying a tea tray, knocks on Félix's room door.
Amelie: Tea break. (Félix comes out of the room holding a laptop and follows Amelie to the main hall. Amelie pours tea into a cup, while Félix sits on a sofa and works on his laptop. She puts her hand on Félix's head) Don't worry, my Félix. Mom is here to protect you from those superheroes who think you're a villain. (As Amelie leaves, Félix looks around and takes out the Peacock Miraculous. As he wears it on his shirt, Duusu comes out of it.)
"So, Aunt Amelie lied to us," Adrien noted with a frown towards his aunt and cousin on-screen along with everyone else.
Duusu: (looks around) Ah? Where's Nathalie? (looking at Félix) Are you my new holder?
Felix: Oh, I am much more than that, Duusu.
"What is my cousin up to here?" Adrien asked with a frown along with everyone else in the audience.
"You all won't find out for a while," Angel answered, which made her audience groan in impatience and annoyance. "The next episode is called Destruction which refers to the Black Cat Miraculous of course. I know Monarch doesn't have that Miraculous, but your power will play a major part in this episode, Adrien."
"So, what supervillain are we facing this time?" Adrien asked on behalf of himself and Marinette.
"No akuma in this episode. You two are once again fighting directly against Monarch as he plans to use the kwamis to track down Ladybug. OK, let's play!" Angel answered as she played the next episode as the kwamis once again gulped in fear.
