Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris. XY and Bob Roth are also being interviewed for the news report.
XY: Hawk Moth… (Bob signals him "no") No, I mean, the villain is Shadow Moth. (Bob shakes his head "no" and points at his head drawing a "crown") Right, duh, he calls himself "King" now. (Bob writes "Monarch" on a paper and shows it to him) Huh? Monarch?
"Wow! That so-called pop star makes Kim look like a genius!" Alix said in exasperation towards XY on-screen with everyone else chuckling in agreement.
Scene: Ménagerie du Jardin des Plantes. Mr. Damocles is also being interviewed for the news report.
Mr. Damocles: When I was re-akumatized, she saved me, but no, she didn't find any Miraculous. I didn't have any on me! But still, I say good job, Ladybug!
Scene: Exterior, Le Grand Paris. Chloé is also being interviewed for the news report. Sabrina is also seen behind her.
Chloé: Ladybug? She's turned Paris over to supervillains! That would never have happened with Queen Bee!
"Very encouraging, Chloe," Adrien sarcastically said in a deadpan manner with a frown towards his childhood friend who looked away in embarrassment while everyone else sported slight frowns towards the blonde girl as well.
Scene: TVi studio. Nadja Chamack is sitting with Alec, Bob Roth and Mr. Banana for a news report.
Nadja: And we're back on the set of "Leading Questions, Honest Answers" with our experts. You've heard the people of Paris; Monarch is more powerful than ever, and Ladybug can't seem to regain the Miraculous from him, so the question on everybody's mind is, "Are Ladybug and Cat Noir the heroes we need?"
Alec: The media has paralyzed us with fear, but what we need to defeat Monarch is more love and kindness. People need to follow their dreams and have more hope. That way, we wouldn't be feeling all these negative emotions. Come with me, now, everyone, just love one another—
"Well, that dude surely has done a complete 180 on himself," Nino said about Alec on-screen with a shocked look on his face along with everyone else.
Bob: (cuts off Alec) If you ask me, there's too much talk about Ladybug and Cat Noir (brings out a CD of XY's music) and not enough talk about my son's— I mean, that wonderful indie artist, XY's new album!
Everyone in the audience facepalmed in exasperation towards Bob on-screen.
Nadja: Thank you for that, Bob. And you, Mr. Banana? What's your take on all of this?
Mr. Banana: Stay peachy!

Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Adrien's room. An advertisement of Alliance is broadcasted on the television.
Gabriel: (from the advertisement) The ties that bind… (Plagg is seen on the table playing with an Alliance ring.)

Plagg: Since your father digitized you and Lila, you two have become virtual puppets! Thanks to the Alliance ring, anyone can make you say anything! Great, isn't it?
Alliance Adrien: Runny Camembert makes your hair beautiful and makes you immortal.
"If we do end up having these rings, you are so not allowed to play with them!" Adrien said in annoyance towards an embarrassed Plagg while everyone else laughed hard at what he made Adrien's image on the Alliance ring say on-screen.
Adrien: (takes the ring away from Plagg) I don't think it's great at all! (walks to the door)
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in the foyer. Adrien goes down the stairs to find Gabriel and sees Nathalie instead.
Adrien: Nathalie, I need to see my father!
Nathalie: Perfect timing, he's actually waiting for you in the kitchen.
Adrien: My father's waiting for me… in the kitchen? (Nathalie escorts Adrien to the kitchen.)
"IN THE KITCHEN?!" Everyone in the audience loudly asked as they looked at each other in extreme confusion and shock.
Nathalie: I'll be accompanying you to school this afternoon—
Gabriel: (while cooking, off-screen) No need, Nathalie, I'll go myself. (Nathalie frowns irritatedly at his statement.)
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in the kitchen. Adrien enters; Nathalie then closes the door behind him.
Gabriel: How do you like your French toast, Adrien?
"I'm sorry, I must be hallucinating. My father is…COOKING?!" Adrien asked in shock with his eyes and mouth wide open along with everyone else. Most of the audience even rubbed their eyes to check if they're awake much to Angel's amusement.
Adrien: (confused) Uhh… well-toasted, Father.
Gabriel: Call me Dad. (flips a toast on the pan) Your school's parent-teacher conference is scheduled for today, right?
"Parent-teacher conference? For what?" Mr. Damocles asked, having lost track of school events.
"Well, this is towards the end of the school year, so…" Angel started answering before Miss Bustier interrupted, knowing the answer.
"This is the parent-teacher conference where we'll be discussing the kids' future plans once they graduate from Francoise Dupont, correct?" Miss Bustier asked in which Angel nodded in confirmation and everyone else murmured in understanding, making note of that.
Adrien: Yes, Father— I mean, Dad.
Gabriel: Perfect. I cleared my schedule to go with you. It's about your future. It's important.
"Your father, the Gabriel Agreste, is coming to our school in-person for the conference?" Alya asked the blond boy as they and everyone else still had their extremely shocked looks on their faces.
"Don't ask me! I'm just as lost in this as you all are!" Adrien said, defending himself.
Adrien: Um, are you sure you're feeling okay?
"Dude, if I was in there with you and witnessed this, I'd say run for your life!" Nino said to his best friend in which everyone else murmured in agreement.
Gabriel: I've never felt better. You know, Adrien, you and I were a lot closer before… your mother disappeared. Since then, I've spent far too much time working and have allowed too much distance to grow between us. Can you imagine? I couldn't even see that you didn't want to be a model any longer. (The pan sizzles, splattering a droplet of hot oil on Gabriel's apron. This causes him to use the pan as a weapon on instinct as if there was an enemy nearby. Adrien looks at Gabriel in more confusion. Gabriel clears his throat) How do you like your eggs, son?
Adrien: Soft-boiled, Fath— Dad.
Gabriel: Ask Alliance how long they're supposed to cook, will you?
Adrien: Speaking of which, Dad, I'm not really comfortable with having my face on all these rings. That's actually why I didn't want to be a model anymore, to avoid that. Do you understand?
Gabriel: Of course, I understand, my son. But that's the point; it's just an image, it's not you! And since this image frees you from your obligations, we, the Agrestes, are able to spend more time together. But if you'd rather everything went back to the way it was before, just say the word.
Adrien: (wears the Alliance ring on his index finger) You're probably right.
Gabriel: (caresses Adrien's head) You'll see, my son. Alliance will bring us closer. (touches the Alliance ring on Adrien's finger) Alliance, can you please tell us how long it takes to cook soft-boiled eggs?
Alliance Adrien: For soft-boiled eggs, cook for three to four minutes. (Gabriel winks at Adrien as they share a smile. Gabriel puts some eggs in the pan.)
"OK, if we see Chloe's mom cooking next, it's the end of the world!" Alya said half-joking in which everyone else laughed hard in agreement (especially Chloe herself).
Scene: Marinette and Alya are seen preparing for school side-by-side on screen. In the Césaire residence, Alya goes down the stairs and calls Marinette in her Alliance ring. Marinette answers the phone while eating her breakfast back at their house.
Alya: Marinette, don't tell me you're late!
Marinette: (while quickly cleaning out the table and goes upstairs to fix her things) Late? Me? You're kidding, right?
Alya: I miss not being able to be Rena Rouge to help you.
Marinette: I miss our team of superheroes too! (finishes packing her bag and heads downstairs) Alya, I need to find a way to get back the Miraculous Monarch stole from me!
Alya: (while crossing the road) So, we pretty much agree that Monarch now entrusts his akumatized villains with Miraculous, right?
Marinette: (upon exiting the bakery) Apparently, yeah, except when Cat Noir and I de-akumatize them, the villains never have the Miraculous on them.
Alya: (while walking) Hm, then he must take the jewels right before you defeat them.
Marinette: (while crossing the road) But how does he know when I'm about to do that?
Alya: He doesn't need to know. Maybe before handing out each Miraculous, he touches them with the ball of the Miraculous of the Dog, which brings them back in case of defeat. (The side-by-side sequence ends as Marinette and Alya now walk beside each other and enter the school together.)
Marinette: But then we'd see the ball, I'd have noticed.
Nino: (cuts off the girls' conversation and puts his arms around the two) Hey, hi, guys, what are you chatting about?
Marinette: Um, a new video game…
Alya: A very tough one. (The school bell rings. Nino frowns in annoyance.)
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in Ms. Bustier's classroom. Ms. Bustier stands in front of the class.
Ms. Bustier: I'd like to remind you there's no afternoon classes today due to parent-teacher conferences regarding post-graduation.
Nino: (to Adrien) No question for me here, I'm gonna be a superhero!
Adrien: I thought Ladybug couldn't hand out Miraculous anymore.
Nino: Who's talking about a Miraculous? That's not the only way you can help Ladybug. Monarch's gonna have to deal with a new enemy, buddy! The Resistance!
Adrien: (surprised) There's a resistance starting up?
Nino: Not yet, but you can be my first recruit if you want to. You'd be Comrade Mayo and I'd be Comrade Ketchup. I already have a plan for our first mission, but I can't spill the beans here.
"Nino, it's great you wanna start a resistance army against Monarch, but Comrade Mayo?! And Ketchup?! Seriously?!" Alya asked her blushing boyfriend in exasperation as everyone else laughed hard at the codenames he gives on-screen.
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the courtyard. Nino, Adrien, Marinette and Alya are headed to the cafeteria.
Nino: Hang on, your old man's OK with you eating in the cafeteria?
Alya: And he's coming to your conference?
Nino: Dude, you sure he hasn't been akumatized again? (Adrien says nothing, but smiles at Nino.)
Scene: The school cafeteria. The four of them fall in line.
Nino: Here, you get in line and choose what you want.
Adrien: What I want? Awesome! (As he picks every plate on the counter, his ring bumps onto one of the plates, and turns it on.)
Alliance Adrien: What can I do for you, Adrien? (Adrien turns off his Alliance ring.)
Marinette: Doesn't it feel weird, you being on all these rings?
Adrien: Well, it's just my image. And it's allowing me to spend more time with the people I care about, like my father, my friends, (softly) you. (Marinette becomes flustered.) We can see each other outside of school, too!
Marinette: (while hastily picking up food from the counter) Yeah, I mean, we spend a lot of time at school together as it is already, huh?
Adrien: This is all thanks to you, Marinette. You gave me the courage to face my father. (walks to the table. Marinette's cheeks turn red.)
Alya: Hey, did I just hear Adrien say he wanted to spend more time with you? Wooot! That's awesome!
Marinette: No, it's not! Whenever I'm near Adrien, I can't concentrate! What if I lost my (whispers) Miraculous because of love-induced lack of focus?
Alya: Don't worry, I'll keep you focused. (pushes Marinette to walk to the table. On a table, the four of them are sitting together.)
Nino: (looks around covertly) Eat like everything's normal.
Adrien: Uh, isn't everything normal?
Nino: This lunch is just a cover, Comrade Mayo.
Alya: "Comrade Mayo"?
Nino: From now on, you will call me Comrade Ketchup. (bangs his hand on the table) Right, I've summoned you to this secret meeting, because—
Alya: You didn't summon us to anything, Nino.
Nino: Of course I did, otherwise it wouldn't have been a secret, Comrade Beurre Maître d'Hôtel. (Alya face-palms in annoyance. Chloé enters the scene.)
"UGH!" Alya facepalmed towards Nino's resistance codename for her while everyone else laughed hard in amusement.
Chloé: Adrikins! (runs towards Adrien) Come dine with me! I have meals delivered directly from the palace. (She shows him Sabrina carrying her expensive, high-class lunch.)
Adrien: Thanks, Chloé, but I'm already eating with my friends.
Chloé: Ugh, whatever! (flips her hair) Just remember, eat like a loser, be like a loser! (walks away)
Alya: What's up with the sauces?
Nino: What's up is Ladybug and Cat Noir don't have us to help them anymore.
Alya: (nervously) Um, um— uh— what do you mean, "us"?
Nino: Well, us, you Rena Rouge, me Carapace! (Alya kicks his leg underneath the table) Ouch! What's the big deal? We can tell Marinette and Adrien we used to be superheroes. (The camera pans to a shocked Marinette.) It's not like we have any Miraculous that Monarch could steal from us. The only ones who need to protect their secret identities are Ladybug and Cat Noir, not us. And anyway, I already told Adrien about Carapace. (Adrien laughs red-handed.)
Marinette: Adrien knew? (furiously) Alya, did you know that he knew?
Alya: What, no, I swear I didn't know at all! (kicks Nino's leg for the second time)
Nino: Ow! Come on! He's my best bud, I can tell him stuff! You and Marinette tell each other stuff, don't you?
Alya and Marinette: (defiantly) No, we don't! (Lila enters the scene, carrying her lunch.)
"Very convincing, girls," Alix sarcastically said to the two best friends who blushed in embarrassment while everyone else chuckled lightly in amusement.
Lila: Adrien? Are you eating in the cafeteria? That's great! Can I sit with you—
Marinette: (objects) All the seats are taken!
Alya: (looks at the two empty chairs) Uh, no, they're not, Marinette. (Marinette hogs the table all to herself.)
Nino: (whispers to Alya) Well, technically, we are in the middle of a meeting.
Adrien: Maybe tomorrow, Lila, if you don't mind.
Lila: Sure, that's fine. (walks away with her meal)
Nino: Well done, Comrade Mayo. The first meeting of the Resistance can commence!
Lila: (from a table parallel to the four and takes a picture of Adrien and Marinette) Please, Alliance, post this picture on all my social-media accounts.
"Of course that girl wouldn't take this lying down," Marinette groaned along with everyone else as soon as they saw what Lila did on-screen.
Nino: (places a pack of honey on the table) Right, all ears, peeps! (places packs of strawberry and blueberry jams on the table) Ladybug and Cat Noir's problem is that Monarch has stolen the Miraculous (takes out the pack of honey and places a pack of yogurt instead) and is handing them over to his already akumatized villains. (places the pack of honey on top of the yogurt) It's like he's sweetening his yogurt to give it extra flavor. But when Ladybug catches the yogurt, (peels off the yogurt's seal) there's no honey in it. So, the question is: (pours honey on the yogurt) How does Monarch add and remove the honey from the yogurt without anyone noticing?
Marinette: Exactly, nobody knows.
Nino: Hence my plan. We're gonna film an akumatization.
Alya: And how are you, Comrade Ketchup, gonna be in the know when and where this akumatization takes place?
Nino: Easy, Comrade Beurre Maître d'Hôtel. I'm gonna make it happen.
"WHAT?!" Everyone in the audience asked Nino as if he's crazy for his plan on-screen, to which he shrugged nervously in response.
Adrien: Isn't that cruel?
Alya: Totally! To make someone suffer just to discover Monarch's technique? Super cruel!
Nino: No, it's not! You forget Ladybug always fixes everything in the end with her magic ladybugs! The akumatized victims forget what happened to them.
"Oh, sure! We can make akumatizations happen whenever we want! Ladybug will fix everything! It's not like she has a life that doesn't wanna be interrupted!" Marinette sarcastically ranted to what Nino just said much to his blushing embarrassment while everyone else murmured in agreement.
Marinette: But you're gonna put yourself in danger, and you don't have your superpowers anymore!
Nino: Yes, but I have you, my comrades in the Resistance, and as Comrade Béchamel would say, having friends is like having superpowers.
Marinette: Who... who is Comrade Béchamel?
Nino: It could be you, if you wanted. (Marinette lets out a nervous laugh. Suddenly, a large paparazzi is seen by the entrance of the cafeteria, being held back by Fred.)
"Comrade Bechamel?!" Marinette asked Nino in exasperation in which he chuckled nervously in response while everyone else chuckled in amusement.
Wayhem: Adrien!
Fangirl: Adrien, is it really you?
"And that's why Lila took that pic of you two," Angel pointed out in a deadpan manner in which everyone else (especially the two heroes) groaned in annoyance.
Nino: Comrades, extraction! (Nino, Adrien, Alya and Marinette are running out of the cafeteria and Lila is seen following them. The four are then seen crawling out behind the counter. Amidst a wave of fans, Lila continues to sneak behind them.)
"Of course she'd be snooping on us," Adrien groaned in annoyance towards seeing Lila secretly following him and his friends on-screen.
"I know. Super annoying! But, then again, who am I of all people to judge?" Marinette said as she thought about the times she followed Adrien and Lila before. After a moment, everyone else nodded and shrugged in agreement.
"True, but in the end, you just wanna protect me from that girl and her lies," Adrien said to his girlfriend in comfort with a warm smile in which she gave a warm smile back in response.
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the boiler room. Nino, Adrien, Marinette and Alya continue their so-called meeting. Nino presents a graph of all the parents of their classmates who were akumatized.
Nino: The parent-teacher conferences are today. Now, who loses their temper easily? Who falls to pieces and loses their cool over nothing?
Alya: A teacher?
Nino: No, come on! (bends a stick) A parent! You want proof? (points his stick at a picture of Guitar Villain) Almost all of them have been akumatized at some point. And today, we have the ideal parent. (points his stick at a picture of Gabriel)
Adrien: My father? But Nino, he's changed, he's making an effort, and it's the first time he's coming to school!
Nino: Has he changed for real? Or is it just a publicity stunt for his awesome ring? (realizes he screwed up upon seeing Adrien taken aback) Uh, sorry, man. I shouldn't have said that.
Alya: Seriously though, Ladybug would never approve of this plan. You're with me on this one, right, Marinette?
Marinette: Well, uh... if it could help her defeat Monarch, maybe Ladybug would agree. After all, Nino's right, she could fix everything afterwards.
"You'd be seriously ok with this plan?!" Adrien asked his girlfriend in shock as well as everyone else.
"Well, I mean I know it's cruel, but I also kinda see the advantage of it helping us discover how Monarch gives Miraculous powers to his supervillains. You all have to admit: if it weren't the fact that Mr. Agreste is Monarch himself, it wouldn't be the dumbest idea in the world," Marinette said as she deeply thought about it. Even though everyone else likes to admit that it is a cruel idea, they all murmured in agreement that it's somewhat brilliant too.
Alya: You're not serious! Adrien, are you okay with this?
Adrien: If it can help Ladybug and Cat Noir, why not?
Nino: The Resistance Council approves the plan. Three to one! (Behind a wall, Lila continues to eavesdrop on the four of them and walks away afterwards.)
"I think I know where this is going. Since Lila definitely overheard us about our plan to akumatize Mr. Agreste, she's going to tip him off and that's how he came up with his illusion plan with the Fox Miraculous. So, that we wouldn't suspect him as Monarch again and we won't actually be able to figure out how he was able to give Miraculous powers," Marinette said as she deeply thought about the situation in which Angel nodded in confirmation with a proud smile and everyone else murmured in agreement as soon as they caught on.
Scene: Exterior, Collège Françoise Dupont. Gabriel arrives at the school with his car. People in the courtyard start to murmur upon his arrival whilst Gabriel continued to walk up the staircase, unbothered.
Parisian 1: Oh… what's he doing here?
Parisian 2: Wait, is that really him? (Whilst walking up the stairs, Gabriel finds Lila sitting there.)
Lila: Sir, there's a student conspiracy to akumatize someone in order to figure out how Monarch is using his new powers.
Gabriel: And this concerns me how?
Lila: You're… the target. (Despite Lila's warning, Gabriel proceeded to go upstairs without a flinch.)
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in Ms. Bustier's classroom. Ms. Bustier stands in front of the parents in the class.
"I see not all of our parents are at this conference," Ivan said as he noticed that some of the parents weren't there, including his own.
"Maybe they're too busy with things they can't get out of," Mylene suggested, trying to comfort her boyfriend in which he gave a warm smile.
"What's more shocking is that Lila's mom is there and it seems she has not caught on to what her daughter's been saying to all of you since she got here," Angel pointed out as she pointed to Mrs. Rossi on-screen in which everyone else murmured in agreement.
Ms. Bustier: Today, we'll look at preparing for your children's future after junior high. But before we get started, I'm missing a file. Mr. Agreste, after Career Day. your son should have given you a file in which he had to indicate his wishes for next year. Do you have it? (Whilst Ms. Bustier speaks, Marinette, Adrien, Alya, and Nino sneak towards the classroom door from outside. Gabriel briefly notices.)
Gabriel: I do. But now that my son has changed his wishes, I still need to help him figure out what his future will be.
Ms. Bustier: Please do send me the file as soon as it's completed. (Marinette enters the room holding a tray of pizza.)
Marinette: Ms. Bustier, can I just grab my organizer? I left it in my desk!
Ms. Bustier: Yeah, but hurry up, and, uh— Marinette, why are you holding a pizza in your hand?
Marinette: Oh, this? (chuckles nervously and starts to walk forward awkwardly) It's just... I was in the cafeteria when I realized I forgot my organizer! (spoils Gabriel's clothes with the pizza she was holding. Ms. Bustier and Sabine gasp in shock. Adrien and Nino are filming right outside the classroom. Gabriel remains unbothered from Marinette's clumsy actions. She says sarcastically) Whoa! I am such a klutz! Such an ugly stain! Let me clean it up! (wipes Gabriel's clothes with a wet sponge) Ah! I'm so stupid! I'm only making it worse! And I bet that's a crazy expensive suit, too! I can't imagine how upset this must make you.
"If my father was still his usual self and has not been tipped off by Lila, he would've definitely been upset about that," Adrien noted as he and everyone else looked in shock to what just happened and Mr. Agreste's lack of reaction on-screen.
Nino: (groans) He's tough! Phase two, you're up, Comrade Mayo! (Adrien knocks on the door and is seen holding a plate with spaghetti on it.)
Ms. Bustier: Adrien? Are you coming from the cafeteria too?
Adrien: Yes, I forgot my school bag. (spills the spaghetti on Gabriel's clothes, but Gabriel remains calm) Oops! Oh, sorry, Dad! You must be so angry! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!
Nino: It's not working! He's resisting! Quick, phase three, Comrade Beurre Maître d'Hôtel!
Alya: No way, man!
Nino: Come on! For Ladybug and Cat Noir! (Alya sighs annoyingly and proceeds to knock on the classroom door, holding a chocolate cake on a plate.)
Ms. Bustier: Huh? Alya? You're not going to...?
Alya: (deadpan) Oh, yes, I am. (nonchalantly spoils Gabriel's clothing with the chocolate cake) Oh, am I clumsy. (Gabriel stands up from his seat, seemingly having had enough of the atrocity caused by the three.)
Nino: (enthused) Yes! Come on! Come on!
Gabriel: (makes his way towards the door) Come on, Adrien. We're going home.
Marinette: Uh, aren't you super annoyed?
Adrien: Or absolutely furious?
Alya: (deadpan) A bit upset at least?
Gabriel: I am, by the level of this school, the behavior of its students, and the lack of dietary quality of the cafeteria. As for your question, Ms. Bustier, I already have the answer. As far as his future is concerned, Adrien will never set foot in this school again. (Gabriel walks out the classroom along with Adrien while Nino continues to film him with his Alliance ring.)
"That's not what's supposed to happen!" Nino said, frustrated that his plan is failing and that he might've made Adrien's father pull him out of school on-screen.
"YOU THINK?!" Everyone else in the audience rhetorically asked the blushing-red Nino in exasperation.
Nino: (to Adrien) Comrade! He's going to transform! Hold him back! We need more cream! Ketchup! Mustard!
"He's not that old, Nino! My father can hear you!" Adrien said to his best friend in exasperation and annoyance to what just happened on-screen.
Alya: I told you this plan was bad! All we've achieved is getting rid of your BFF! At best, he's the one who's gonna get akumatized!
Marinette: You see, Alya? I'm a curse for Adrien! All this proves is that I'd better stay away from him!
Alya: No, what it proves is we need to make up for this disaster by apologizing to Mr. Agreste, and on the double, comrades! (Alya, Marinette and Nino chase after Gabriel and Adrien, who are already inside the vehicle as it drives away. Nonetheless, the three of them continue to follow behind them.)

Gabriel: Father! (Adrien glances at his Alliance ring and clenches his fist in frustration.)
"Well, his "change" didn't last long," Adrien deadpanned while using air quotes around "change".
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in the foyer. Adrien and Gabriel enter the mansion.
Gabriel: Go to your room, Adrien. (In his atelier, Gabriel presses the hidden buttons on Emilie's painting and enters his lair.) Nooroo, dark wings, rise! (Gabriel transforms into Monarch.)
Monarch: Trixx, your power is now mine! (Trixx's pod hovers towards Monarch and makes contact with the ring activating the power of Illusion.) Mirage! (uses the flute to make an illusion of Gabriel in the atelier)
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Adrien's room.
Marinette: (on-call) Adrien, we're outside your house.
Alya: (on-call) Let us talk to your father, we'll explain everything to him and make things right.
Adrien: That's nice of you, but talking to him now would only make things worse. Wait.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in the foyer. Adrien walks slowly towards the source of the loud shattering which he presumably heard from the atelier.
Gabriel: Emilie! I tried to change but nothing has changed! (A megakuma is seen flying towards the mansion from Nino's video on Adrien's phone.)
Nino: (on-call) Adrien, dude! A megakuma! The plan is working!
Gabriel: I tried to free him from his modeling career but it hasn't been making him happier!
Nino: (on-call) Film, Comrade! Film!
Gabriel: Whatever I do as a father is a failure! I'm not made for it!
Nino: (on-call) Go ahead, Comrade Mayo, otherwise all of this will have been for nothing!
(Adrien begins to film "Gabriel"'s akumatization.)
Gabriel: Yes, Monarch, I'll do anything to get revenge on my son's friends, who pushed me over the edge!
Monarch: (while puppetting the illusion of Gabriel) I will bring you back Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous! ("Gabriel" succumbs to the akumatization and transforms into the Collector.)
The Collector: You're going to give me a Miraculous power to help me with my mission? Oh, thank you, Monarch! (From outside the mansion, Alya, Nino and Marinette watch the Collector get his powers and the three of them grunt in anger.) I've been given the power of teleportation! Now I'll be able to trap them!
Nino: We got it, Comrade!
Marinette: Go and take cover, Adrien!
Adrien: (while running away from the atelier's door) I didn't see anything specific!
Nino: Don't worry. We got the video! We'll analyze it while Ladybug and Cat Noir save your dad.
"Well, this is all gonna be pointless since this is actually an illusion," Marinette pointed out in which everyone else groaned in annoyance and agreement.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Adrien's room. Adrien rushes in his room to transform.
Adrien: My father's really furious! Plagg, claws out! (transforms into Cat Noir)
Scene: Exterior, the Agreste mansion. The Collector begins his hunt for Alya, Nino and Marinette who are hiding behind the mansion's gate. His book comes into contact with the gate and absorbs it, revealing where the trio is hiding.
The Collector: I'll make nice and quiet children out of you! Get ready to join my collection!
Nino: Comrades, disperse! (Marinette, Nino and Alya flee from the Collector in different directions.)
Marinette: I hope this won't all have been for nothing! Tikki, spots on! Yeah! (transforms into Ladybug. The battle continues as the Collector chases after Alya and Nino. Ladybug and Cat Noir arrive on the scene to keep the Collector from running after the two. The Collector throws his book at the heroes as Ladybug and Cat Noir successfully evade it.)
Nino: (hiding behind a car) Careful! He's got the power of voyage! (Alya pulls him back into hiding) He'll try to trap you with it!
Cat Noir: Thanks!
Nino: (while Alya struggles to pulls him to safety) Comrade Ketchup, at your service, Cat Noir and Ladyb— (grunts as Alya successfully pulls him away from danger. Ladybug throws her yo-yo at the Collector, which he avoids quickly. He strikes back by also throwing his tablet at Ladybug's direction as she evades gracefully and continues to hurl her yo-yo at the villain. Cat Noir ambushes the Collector on his other side, aiming to strike the villain with his baton.)
The Collector: Voyage! (creates a portal on his left. Cat Noir misses his chance to catch him as the Collector rapidly enters the portal.)
Ladybug: Monarch gave him the power of the Miraculous of the Horse!
Cat Noir: And if Collector has new apps to play with on his tablet, this isn't gonna be easy! (The Collector appears sneakily behind Cat Noir, to which Ladybug had noticed immediately and warned him…)
Ladybug: Cat Noir! (The two dodge the Collector's ambush attack. Meanwhile, Alya and Nino are seen hiding right outside a building who are still investigating Gabriel's akumatization on his phone.)
The Collector: (from the footage on Nino's phone) I've been given the power of teleportation! (Nino rewinds the footage) I've been given the power of teleportation! (Ladybug and Cat Noir stand back to back in high alert as the Collector may appear in any direction with the power of the Horse Miraculous. Shortly after, the Collector teleports above them and throws his tablet right between them.)
Cat Noir: Watch out!
The Collector: You're going to upgrade my collection with your Miraculous! (The Collector uses Voyage continuously to attack Ladybug and Cat Noir on their blind side, to which Ladybug completely dodges without fail. Ladybug attempts to hurl her yo-yo at the villain but misses again as the Collector has escaped to another portal yet again.)
Scene: Monarch's lair.
Monarch: How many times have you used the power of illusion to fool me, Ladybug and Cat Noir? Today, it's my turn! Pollen, Mullo, Kaalki, your powers are now mine!
(Kaalki, Pollen and Mullo's pods fly toward Monarch's rings and absorb their powers. He then turns to look at Orikko's pod.) The power of sublimation! This will allow me to acquire the power of my choosing! Orikko, your power is now mine! (Orikko's pod flies toward one of his rings and absorbs his power as well.) Ha! I know what you're hoping for, kwamis! You're hoping I'll lose control of my power! But I didn't become Monarch for nothing. I can accumulate up to five Miraculous powers now! You'll never see your beloved guardian again! Voyage! (creates a portal and teleports to the sewers)
"Oh, wonderful!" Orikko sarcastically said towards Monarch's update on his powers on-screen with everyone else groaning in annoyance.
Scene: In the sewers. Monarch drops from the portal.
Monarch: Venom! (the bee top appears on his right hand) Multitude! (several copies of him appear) You might be able to evade one hit or two, but eight? I don't think so! Especially if you don't see them coming! Sublimation! Power of invisibility! (disappears out of sight)
"Well, this is gonna be harder than we thought," Adrien deadpanned in annoyance towards his father's plan on-screen with everyone else murmuring in agreement.
Scene: In the Parisian streets, Ladybug and Cat Noir continue their battle against the Collector.
Cat Noir: (misses to catch the Collector once again) We'll never catch him!
Ladybug: Lucky Charm! (activates her power and receives a bag of shredded cheese) Shredded cheese?
"HUH?!" Everyone in the audience asked in extreme confusion towards the Lucky Charm given on-screen.
"Ooooh! This is my favorite Lucky Charm you've ever created, sugarcube!" Plagg said, mesmerized by the Lucky Charm shredded cheese on-screen as everyone else rolled their eyes in annoyance.
Cat Noir: Plagg would be happy! (Ladybug uses her Lucky Vision to figure out how to use her lucky charm only to find nothing, yet. The two heroes see the Collector from afar and chase after him but he was able to escape in a split second. Ladybug and Cat Noir follow the villain in a portal leading to the sewers. Upon arriving in the sewers, Cat Noir makes his move to capture the Collector only to suddenly become immobile, making Ladybug stand on her guard. She then sees yellow beams being fired at her from an invisible source and sees rats that are currently terrified not far from her.)
Ladybug: What are you afraid of? There's nothing… (sees silhouettes of two little men by a water puddle) visible! (Ladybug continues to spin her yo-yo as a shield while using her Lucky Vision for the second time, this time, successfully. Her eyes lay upon an immobilized Cat Noir, on the little footprints and the rats.) Got it! (jumps to a higher ground and rips the bag of cheese open, sprinkling it and making the invisible, visible) Lunch time! (The rats smell cheese and swarm on the shredded pieces that are scattered over the invisible copies of Monarch, which causes them to panic and run away to hide.)
"Looks like he shouldn't have made tiny copies of himself," Angel said as she and everyone else laughed hard at Monarch being chased by rats on-screen.
Monarch: Unite! (The rats disperse.)
The Collector: Ladybug, you can't save me! I wanted to change out of love for my son, but I only continued to disappoint him!
Ladybug: (slowly approaches the Collector) It's not too late! Anyone can change! Let go of your anger. Reject the akuma. I'm sure your son loves you and will forgive you. (whimpers as he rejects the akuma's power)
Gabriel: Thank you, Ladybug, you have freed me from evil. Ah! (lets himself fall backwards)
Ladybug: No! (dives to save Gabriel) Power up! (transforms into Aqua Ladybug. Monarch teleports behind a wall.)
Monarch: Dark wings, fall! (de-transforms into Gabriel. Aqua Ladybug goes underwater in search of Gabriel, but unfortunately finds no one.)
Cat Noir: M'Lady, what just happened?
Ladybug: Cat Noir, I can't find Gabriel Agreste! (Gabriel coughs nearby, catching the attention of Aqua Ladybug.)
Scene: Exterior, Le Grand Paris. Alya and Nino are still analyzing the video clip of Gabriel's akumatization.
The Collector: (from the recording) I got— I got—
Nino: Look! It's invisible to the naked eye, but if I slow it down to a 25th of a second, you can see it on one frame! He used a magic lightning bolt to send and probably take back the Miraculous. We did it, Comrade Beurre Maître d'Hôtel!
Alya: I'm sorry I doubted you, Comrade Ketchup! (The two share a heartfelt embrace.)
"Well, at least we tried anyway," Alya said to her boyfriend once she caught the disappointed look on his face in which he gave a warm smile in response.
Scene: Exterior, the Agreste mansion. Gabriel, Ladybug, Cat Noir, Alya and Nino are gathered in the courtyard.
Nino: Mr. Agreste, I owe you an apology. All your troubles today, the pizza, the pasta, the chocolate, all that was... that was a plan to help Ladybug and Cat Noir. And it worked, dude! I mean, sir... Ladybug, Cat Noir, look! (shows a picture of Gabriel's akumatization) Magic lightning! That's how Monarch gives his akumatized villains the power of the Miraculous!
Gabriel: (smiles) Hm, well spotted, young man.
Ladybug: This is a huge step forward, Nino, but you and your friends also took a huge risk, and forced Mr. Agreste to take one, too.
Gabriel: Don't be too hard, Ladybug. They were only trying to do good, and sometimes in order to do good, anything goes.
Nino: Then, Adrien can still go to school with us, dude? I-I mean, Mr. Agreste?
Gabriel: Of course, he can.
Nino: You're so cool! I mean, kind. Thank you, it would be an honor if you would become Mr. Comrade Tartar Sauce, an honorary member of our resistance network!
Cat Noir: That's some awesome sauce!
Ladybug and Cat Noir: Pound it!
"Pound it?!" The two heroes fist-bumped and kissed though they gave quizzical looks to each other as it wasn't a genuine victory on-screen.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Adrien's room. Adrien has his anxiety-filled eyes stuck on his Alliance ring.
Gabriel: (enters the room and sits beside Adrien) Adrien... I was so worried. I'm so sorry for making a public scene. My anger spilled over again, but... Ladybug made me realize that despite my failures, I couldn't give up on us.
Adrien: (while hugging Gabriel) Father, I think I'd rather not wear an Alliance. Do you... do you mind?
Gabriel: Of course, I don't. And please, call me Dad.
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont. Alya, Adrien, Nino and Marinette enter the boiler room.
Nino: Our first mission was a huge success, Comrades, but just imagine if there were more of us. A greater variety of sauces means no recipe is impossible! Which is why I present Comrade Bearnaise (Max), Comrade Burgundy (Kim), Comrade Cocktail (Rose), Grand Veneur (Juleka), Aioli (Ivan), and Comrade Gribiche (Mylène)!
"Well, I say that you all are a Resistance army right here!" Angel said to her audience who murmured excitedly in agreement. "But maybe instead of sauces, your codenames could be the animals based on your Miraculous. Like Marinette could be Bug, Adrien is Cat, Alya is Fox, Nino is Turtle, Chloe is Bee…well, you get the idea," Angel suggested in which everyone else nodded and chuckled in agreement after giving it some thought.
Marinette: You were right, Comrade Ketchup. Having friends is like having super powers. (squints) Hm? What is she doing here? (sees Lila joining the group)
Nino: Oh, my bad, I almost forgot to introduce Comrade Sweet and Sour.
Lila: Hello, Comrade Béchamel. I know you haven't always seen me as your friend, but now that we're in the Resistance together, the war's behind us, right? Let's make peace. (reaches out her hand to Marinette)
Alya: Everybody wants to help Ladybug, Marinette. (The two rivals share a handshake.)
"Wow! We barely started the Resistance and we already have a double agent!" Alya pointed out as she pointed to Lila on-screen.
"And even worse, a double agent that can possibly fool you all into thinking I'm the double agent," Marinette said as she groaned in annoyance as everyone else murmured in concerned agreement after some thought.
Epilogue Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Gabriel's atelier. Gabriel is seen talking to Tomoe on his monitor.
Gabriel: I used them to give false information to Ladybug and Cat Noir. They'll never make the connection between Monarch's powers and the Alliance.
Tomoe: Very well, Gabriel-san.
"I'm still having difficulty comprehending that my mother is involved," Kagami said as she began to have a sad look at that reminder with Luka trying to comfort her.
"Well, if anyone of all people can understand that, it'd be me," Adrien softly said to his former crush who nodded in agreement with a warm smile towards him.
"Anyway, the next episode is Determination which refers to the Ox Miraculous," Angel announced to her audience. "The akumatized supervillain in this episode is a new one called Manipula who can bring wax statues to life."
"And who's that?" Marinette asked curiously as well as everyone else.
"Veronique, the woman in charge of the wax museum," Angel answered and everyone else nodded in understanding. "Let's start!"
