Scene: Exterior, Collège Françoise Dupont. Marinette and Kagami arrive at the school riding on Marinette's scooter whilst Adrien is seen waiting at the entrance for Kagami. Looking up from his phone, Adrien sees Marinette in awestruck as she removes her helmet to fix her hair.
"Check out the look on Blondie's face here! Finally looking at my girl the right way, huh?" Alya teasingly asked Adrien who just blushed and stammered in response as most of the audience laughed hard in amusement.
"Not just Adrien here," Alix said as she pointed to the boys in the audience (except for Marc) looking at on-screen Marinette with slight looks of lust much to the girls' mild annoyance.
Kagami: (upon giving Marinette her helmet) Thanks, Marinette. (walks to the school entrance to join Adrien)
Marinette: Enjoy training! (gasps as she notices Adrien at a distance)
Kagami: Sorry, I'm late, Adrien. (Adrien keeps waving at Marinette with a lovesick smile, distracted by how she looks with her hair down, to which Kagami notices after joining him. Marinette waves back awkwardly and proceeds to drive away on her scooter.)
Adrien: (continues to wave his hand, enthralled) Why did Marinette take off that fast?
Kagami: Because she doesn't take fencing class with us? (Adrien frowns at Kagami's remark.)
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the locker room. Kagami has finished changing into her fencing uniform and sees Adrien, who is taking a look at one of her art pieces — a beautiful watercolor art of Marinette.
"Whoa! Look at that painting of Marinette! So beautiful!" Rose gushed towards the painting of her friend on-screen as everyone else gave impressed murmurs in agreement.
Kagami: Like what you're seeing? (Adrien gets cut off from his enamored trance.)
Adrien: Huh? W-What? Who?
Kagami: My watercolor. Do you like it?
"I made that painting?!" Kagami asked, surprised by her new artwork as well as everyone else.
"You should definitely be in our art club!" Alix told the Japanese girl on behalf of the art club in which everyone else murmured enthusiastically in agreement much to Kagami's blushing reaction at the praise given to her.
Adrien: It's like… (stares back at the art piece, mesmerized) you can almost see through her eyes, deep into her soul. So beautiful. (realization dawns) The watercolor, I mean. It's so beautiful. (Kagami scoffs at Adrien's attempt at pretending. She grabs her phone and reaches it for him.)
Kagami: You're going to ask Marinette out.
Adrien: Huh? But why?
Kagami: Because you obviously have feelings for her. Call her.
Adrien: Of course, I don't. She's just a friend.
"UGGGHHH!" Everyone in the audience (except for Adrien who just blushed in embarrassment) groaned loudly in annoyance towards the blond boy's repeated "Marinette is just a friend" line.
Kagami: You look at her the way I'd wished you looked at me. Call her.
Adrien: (frowns) No, you're wrong.
Kagami: There are none so blind as those who will not look at themselves in the mirror. Call her.
Adrien: But, ask her out how? What do I say?
Kagami: If your feelings were as clear as you're pretending, you wouldn't have any reason to hesitate like that. (Adrien hesitantly grabs Kagami's phone from her hand.)
Scene: Liberty. Marinette arrives at the houseboat on her scooter. Kitty Section, along with Mylène, are gathered on stage.
Marinette: Hey, guys! I got stickers for the band! (shows custom stickers on her hand. The rest cheers.) I made one version with the record label logo on it (shows a Kitty Section custom sticker with a crown logo) and another without it. (shows a plain Kitty Section custom sticker)
Luka: You rock, Marinette. Thanks! (He takes a look at one of the stickers) We shouldn't use their logo for now. The record company still hasn't sent their contract. (Juleka mumbles disapprovingly.)
"We still haven't gotten a contract from the record company?!" Ivan asked, annoyed on behalf of Kitty Section along with everyone else.
Rose: Don't say that, Juleka! Producers keep their word!
"Rose, we're talking about Bob Roth here," Angel pointed out to the cheerful girl in which everyone else gave reluctant murmurs in agreement.
"Good point," Rose reluctantly said with a sad sigh in which Juleka touched her hand in comfort much to Rose's happiness.
Mylène: Yeah, that's what Bob Roth said. (Marinette's phone rings and sees Adrien calling her.)
Marinette: Adrien? (realizes and fumbles over her phone) Adrien! Adrien... (The others confusingly stare at her awkwardness as she chuckles nervously.) Oh! Uh, would you look at that? It's Adrien calling. I guess I'll just answer casually… (walks backwards cautiously and answers the call) Hola! ¿Cómo estás, amigo? (Back at the school's locker room, Adrien stammers with his words. Kagami signals him to go on and talk.)
"Since when do you speak Spanish?" Luka asked his former crush with a chuckle as everyone else also loudly chuckled towards the blushing Marinette.
Adrien: (nervously) Good, I think? You know, Marinette, a lot has happened in the last few months. I feel like something's changed about the way I feel about you, but I'm kind of confused. Could we maybe meet up and talk it through?
Marinette: (back at Liberty) The way you feel about me… has changed… and you want to… meet? The thing is I'm really busy right now and… (notices that the whole gang is listening to their conversation and resumes talking awkwardly) I-I can make time! Where do you wanna meet up?
Adrien: (back in the locker room) Well, how about the Grévin Museum? (Kagami puts her palm on her face in disappointment.)
"The Grevin Museum? That's your idea of a location to explore romantic feelings?!" Kagami asked her former crush in exasperation in which the audience loudly murmured in agreement, exasperated as well.
Marinette: (back at Liberty) The Grévin Museum? Okay, great! Super great! Yes, the Grévin Museum.
Adrien: (back in the locker room) Okay, see you later, then. (Marinette ends the call uneasily and frowns. The gang hugs her in celebration.)
Ivan: (after throwing a bunch of confetti with Luka) Marinette and Adrien are going on a date!
Marinette: (timidly) Uhh, yay…
Rose: We gotta celebrate! (The whole gang runs downstairs in joy.)
Marinette: (chuckles timidly) You guys go ahead! (frowns)
"Uh, girl, could you be less enthused?" Alya sarcastically asked her best friend about her reaction to her upcoming "date" with Adrien on-screen much to everyone else's exasperation.
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont. Back in the locker room, Kagami begins criticizing Adrien after his phone call with Marinette.
Kagami: The Grévin Museum?
Adrien: Yes, why? Did I do something wrong?
Kagami: On a romantic date?
Adrien: You told me that my feelings were unclear and you were right. Something's changed but I don't know what. And since I have a feeling that happened somewhere around the time when we went to the Grévin Museum… (Flashback to The Puppeteer 2, during the time when Marinette was acting around what, or who, she presumed as a "statue" of Adrien.)
Marinette (from the flashback): Why haven't we been molded together in the plaster of destiny? Marble to marble, wax lips against wax lips, entwined for eternity. (Flashback ends.)
"SINCE THEN?!" Everyone in the audience loudly asked the blond boy in exasperation as Adrien chuckled nervously in response.
"And yet, you told her a few hours after that you're in love with another girl," Alya pointed out in a deadpan manner in which Adrien still chuckled nervously but then slowly stopped once seeing the exasperated frowns on everyone else's faces.
Adrien: It just seemed like the right place to meet. (smiles)
Scene: Under Liberty. The rest of the gang are hanging out.
Ivan: Marinette is a real artist. I love her stickers! (The rest of the gang agreed. Meanwhile, Luka goes up to check on Marinette, who is kneeling next to a production compartment.)
Luka: Something wrong?
Marinette: (awkwardly) No, everything's fine! I just wanted to stick the stickers. Whenever I make stickers, I like to stick 'em myself. It's important for a designer of stickers. (The production compartment is seen to be filled with stickers everywhere. Marinette looks at Luka in a gawky manner.) Oh, Luka, I don't know what to do! (buries her face in her palms) I don't know what's happening to me! I-I don't know how to feel! I— I'm completely confused! I can't be in love with Adrien because when I'm in love with Adrien, I make a giant mess of things. A few days ago, I made a huge mistake because of my feelings for him, and I ended up losing some very valuable things and—
Luka: (places his hand on her shoulder) Marinette, what's past is past. What matters is what tune your heart is playing now.
Marinette: Well, that's the thing: there's no tune anymore.
Luka: Maybe because there's too much noise around you. Spending some time alone with Adrien will be a chance for you to listen to how you're feeling.
Marinette: But I can't go back to the Grévin Museum. Not with him. (Another flashback scene from The Puppeteer 2, during the time when Marinette is about to kiss the "statue" of Adrien.)
Adrien: (from the flashback) Woah! Eternity sounds like a long time! (Marinette steps back and panics. Flashback ends.)
Luka: But isn't spending time with him what you've always wanted?
Marinette: Yeah, I know, but that's what's weird! We've been schoolmates for months now, and I've been in love with him without ever being able to really talk to him! I've imagined stories with him and then in real life, everything just failed miserably. What if that's all that there's to it: stories I told myself? What if I don't actually know him? And now he's coming to me, I should be happy! But the truth is, it just makes me uncomfortable.
Luka: You're simply discerning between your dream Adrien and the real Adrien. But that's a good thing, Marinette. That's the only way you'll know if you really love him.
Marinette: But I'm scared, Luka. If only… I had a friend to go with me… just so I'm less scared? (Luka smiles at Marinette fondly.)
Scene: Exterior, Musée Grévin. Adrien and Kagami are waiting for Marinette. From afar, Adrien notices Luka and Marinette walking together toward them.
Adrien: Why is Marinette bringing Luka along? Is she still in love with him?
Kagami: You're just experiencing jealousy, Adrien.
Adrien: I— Y-You think so? (Scene pans to Luka and Marinette. Marinette sighs in relief after noticing Adrien and Kagami together.)
"Dude, be honest: how do you feel whenever you see Marinette and Luka together? Even before we came here?" Nino asked his best friend curiously as well as everyone else.
"To be honest, whenever I see those two together, I get this weird feeling in my stomach and most of the time, I would ask myself: how does Luka manage to get Marinette comfortable whenever she's close to him while she can't seem to relax around me?" Adrien expressed his true feelings about the Lukanette ship.
"Yeah, that's called jealousy!" Plagg pointed out in exasperation in which everyone else nodded in agreement.
"Well, I know now!" Adrien said, annoyed at still being judged for being so oblivious to his feelings towards Marinette for so long.
Marinette: So that's why he wanted to see me. When he said his feelings had changed, what he meant is he was with Kagami. Well, at least the situation's clear now.
Luka: Stop jumping to conclusions.
Adrien: Marinette, Luka, are you guys… together?
Marinette: (looks awkwardly at Luka) Yes, that's right, we're more together than ever!
Adrien: Ah, I'm… happy for you two.
Luka: Marinette…
Marinette: Well, I mean, together, "we came together" is what I mean, how about you guys? I'm so glad to see that you guys patched things up. I knew you two were meant for each other.
Kagami: Marinette, you know perfectly well that Adrien and I are only just friends now.
Luka: Alright, we'll leave you two together now. Enjoy the visit! (Marinette panics and runs after Luka.)
Marinette: I still can't hear a tune! I need you please, Luka.
Adrien: Thank you, Kagami.
Kagami: You're welcome, but I'm staying. You'll probably still need me. (The four of them enter the museum in pairs.)
Scene: Interior, Musée Grévin. Véronique is seen holding brochures.
Adrien: Hello, Véronique!
Véronique: Adrien, did we have an appointment? Is there a problem with your statue?
Adrien: No, Véronique, I just came with my friends for fun.
Véronique: Oh, excellent! If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask!
Alliance Adrien: Veronique, you have an appointment with Mayor Bourgeois in five minutes.
Véronique: Very well, Alliance. I better hurry, we're discussing something new for the museum. But it's still a secret, I'll invite you all to the opening of this new hall! I can't wait for everyone to see it!
Adrien: Isn't she so great? Why don't we start in the hall of columns? (In the hall of columns, the four of them stand before Adrien's wax statue.) Remember when you mistook me for a statue, Marinette?
Marinette: Uh— yeah! I remember really well, so well that maybe we should actually go check out another statue! Whaddya say?
Adrien: You kissed me.
Marinette: (grunts) Yes! Oh— no! Wha— Uh— Well, you call it a kiss, but it's the statue I almost kissed, it was more of a miss than a kiss. (chuckles awkwardly) I thought you were made of wax. My lips did get very close, but technically... (suddenly brings out a tape measure) you can't really call it a kiss; what's the official distance for a kiss, anyway?
"What are you doing?!" Alya asked in exasperation towards her best friend as well as everyone else in the audience.
"I…have no idea," Marinette said, very embarrassed at herself on-screen as her face blushed bright red.
Kagami: Adrien's problem is that he doesn't realize his feelings for Marinette are love.
Luka: I think it's because he's a kind and generous person. He loves everyone and everyone loves him back. He's lost in a jungle of love. He can't read the signals Marinette sends him.
Kagami: That's true. Learning to read Marinette's signals is a complex endeavor. It took me a lot of time. (Marinette is seen awkwardly demonstrating the distance of a kiss to Adrien from afar.)
Marinette: And you lean backwards to stand at a respectful distance! I get it. Mind you, it was awkward.
Adrien: I don't think I was feeling awkward. More like, surprised. Not by what you were doing, but by how I was feeling, and how I was feeling was…
Marinette: (panics and walks backwards slowly) Do NOT finish that sentence under ANY circumstance— AH! (bumps into a wax statue of Nadja Chamack) Sorry, ma'am! (falls down) I'm fine! I'll be right back! (runs away to Luka flusteredly) What if Adrien and I weren't meant to be together? What if I was meant to be alone? And I can never be myself with anyone? Maybe I should just give up being in love! (Adrien and Kagami watch Marinette panic at a distance and Luka notices.)
"Well, this is truly and genuinely painful to watch," Alix noted with a cringed face in which everyone else murmured in agreement while Marinette also continued to blush red in the face in embarrassment to her behavior on-screen.
Luka: Well, I think you may have more in common with Adrien than you think. (hugs Marinette) Trust in yourself for once. (Scene pans to Adrien and Kagami, as Adrien becomes taken aback by Luka's actions towards Marinette.)
Kagami: Feeling jealous?
Adrien: I don't know. All I know is that... I'd like to be in Luka's place.
Kagami: Then, you should take his place.
Scene: Interior, Musée Grévin, in the hall of heroes. Mayor Bourgeois denies Véronique's proposal to display the hall to the public eye.
Mayor Bourgeois: I will not let you display this room. (lifts up the fabric covering Vesperia's wax statue) My daughter— I mean, the people of Paris could get akumatized! This will remind them of Ladybug and Cat Noir's disastrous failure (lifts up the fabric covering Ryuko's wax statue) following the disastrous loss of the Miraculous that Ladybug was supposed to be guarding! (lifts up the fabric covering Carapace's wax statue) And this may lead to more disastrous disasters! Just the thought of it is harrowing enough. Did I mention how disastrous this could be?
Véronique: No, Mr. Mayor. Not opening this hall would be disastrous for people's hope! I'm sure Ladybug will get the Miraculous back and the superheroes will come back!
Mayor Bourgeois: What if Ladybug fails over and over? What if we never see those superheroes again? Trust me. Politics is about (snatches the brochures from Véronique) adapting to the times, and the times are telling us to throw all these away!
Véronique: (snatches back the brochures from Andre) You're wrong! These times call for hope. I will show these statues no matter what!
Mayor Bourgeois: You won't if I have your museum shut down due to hygiene problems.
Véronique: There are no hygiene problems here!
Mayor Bourgeois: Then, there are no superheroes statues. No statues, no hygiene problems. It's the status quo.
"This is why she gets akumatized. Mayor Bourgeois wants to shut down her superhero statue exhibit," Angel explained about Veronique's akumatization in which everyone else nodded in understanding, frowning at Mayor Bourgeois on-screen. "Care to take a lucky guess whose idea this actually is?" Angel then rhetorically asked as she gave a raised-eyebrow look towards Chloe. Immediately knowing the answer, everyone else gave small glares towards the blonde girl who looked down in shame.
Scene: Interior, Musée Grévin, in the hall of columns. The four continue their tour around the hall.
Adrien: You know, Marinette, this is the first time I—
Marinette: (panics and runs towards a wax statue of Bob Roth) Oh! Mr. Bob Roth! Don't forget to send Kitty Section their contract! (goes in front of Jagged Stone's wax statue) Hey there, Jagged Stone! Rock and roll! (runs to what she presumed to be Mayor Bourgeois' wax statue) Hello, Mr. Mayor! How did your appointment go?
Mayor Bourgeois: (annoyed) What? (Marinette falls down on the floor in surprise as Adrien laughs at her clumsiness. Luka and Kagami facepalms at the back.)
"Those wax statues really are lifelike, huh?" Tom rhetorically asked as everybody in the audience laughed at the moment between Marinette and Mayor Bourgeois on-screen much to the blue-haired girl's embarrassment.
Kagami: They're never gonna make it.
Luka: Not without a little nudge from fate. (Adrien helps Marinette up while Luka and Kagami walk away from them, to Marinette's panic.)
Marinette: They're going! They're leaving us alone! They're gonna lose us— I mean, get lost! We're lost! All is lost!
Adrien: It's okay, Marinette. We're not lost. We're together.
Marinette: You're right! (runs away) We should all stay together! (The two follow Luka and Kagami to a room.) Hey! Wait for us! Hey! Wait!
Scene: Interior, Musée Grévin, in the hall of heroes. Marinette looks around for Luka and Kagami, only to see that they're on the other side to trap her and Adrien inside the hall, alone.
Marinette: No, no, no, no, no, wait! (Luka presses a red button on the wall which shuts all of the hall's doors. Marinette becomes more agitated than ever.)
"Oh, come on! Why didn't we do that when we went to the wax museum with them?!" Alya asked herself and Nino in exasperation, which got frowns from both their best friends.
"Maybe because it's actually nerve-wracking to be trapped in general even if it is with someone you love," Angel pointed out in which after some thought, everyone else nodded in agreement.
"What I can't believe is that we're the ones who are trapping them," Luka pointed out to Kagami in which she gave a light chuckle in agreement.
Scene: Interior, Musée Grévin, on a staircase. Véronique is seen crying because of Mayor Bourgeois' disapproval of her proposal. A tear falls down on her pile of brochures.
Scene: Monarch's lair. The lair's window opens.
Monarch: Of course, the return of the superheroes. Such a fantastic idea as long as they're at my service! Kaalki, your power is now mine! (Kaalki's pod hovers towards Monarch's ring and absorbs her power. Monarch then creates a megakuma in his hands.) Voyage, my megakuma! (creates a portal for his megakuma, transporting it to Véronique who is at the Grévin Museum)
Scene: Interior, Musée Grévin, on a staircase. The megakuma flies to Véronique's pile of brochures.
Monarch: (from his lair) Manipula, I am Monarch. Do you mourn the demise of the superheroes? Well, I'm giving you the power to bring them back to life, along with all their powers!
Véronique: (while resisting the megakuma) Why would you do that? You're the reason they disappeared! You stole their Miraculous!
Monarch: (from his lair) I didn't steal anything. Ladybug is the one who lost them. She's responsible for everything that's happening today. If Paris had another superhero leader, the other superheroes would all still be here and your museum wouldn't be threatened with closure. If you bring me Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous, I promise to stop akumatizing people. I'm offering you the chance to give real hope to the people of Paris. Isn't that what you wanted?
Véronique: It is. (succumbs to the megakuma and transforms into Manipula)
Monarch: (from his lair) Stompp, your power is now mine! (Stompp's pod hovers towards Monarch's ring and absorbs his power.) Transfer! (taps his ring and transmits the power of the Ox Miraculous to Manipula through her Alliance ring) Manipula, I'm transferring the essence of the Miraculous of Determination to you. It will give you the power of invulnerability. This way, magical powers would have no effect on you, not even Ladybug and Cat Noir's.
Stompp whimpered at the thought of his superpower being used for evil this time with Ivan trying to comfort him.
Scene: Interior, Musée Grévin, in the hall of heroes. Marinette attempts to open the door to free her and Adrien.
Marinette: (grunts as forces herself to open the door) I can't… get it to open! (checks her phone) No signal! What are we gonna do?
Adrien: (approaches Marinette) Everything's okay, Marinette. I'm here.
Marinette: Exactly! You're here; that's the problem!
Adrien: (gets taken aback) I— I'm the problem?
Marinette: No, no, no, no, you're not the problem, I'm the problem! Every time I get close to you, I— (scene pans behind the Ladybug and Cat Noir wax statues behind Adrien) Ugh! I make a mess of things! I cause disasters!
Adrien: Of course not! Kissing me while you thought I was a statue was not disastrous at all, believe me!
Marinette: (sighs deeply) I just can't tell you anything.
Adrien: (softly) You can tell me everything. (The wall behind them collapses as Manipula enters the hall. Marinette and Adrien are seen hiding behind the statues as Manipula each statue and brings them to life with her brochures. Marinette then sees a way out.)
Marinette: The door is open! Let's run! (Marinette runs away to escape, to which Manipula almost notices. Adrien remains behind a statue to hide.)
Scene: Interior, Musée Grévin, in the hall of columns. Marinette enters the elevator to transform.
Marinette: Tikki, spots on! (transforms into Ladybug. As Ladybug takes a peek outside the elevator, the army of wax heroes make their run out of the museum. Ladybug swings out of the museum as well to follow them.)
Scene: On the rooftops. Ladybug runs after Manipula; Cat Noir catches up with her.
Cat Noir: Sorry for the delay, m'lady. I got held up. (Ladybug and Cat Noir face Manipula with her team of wax heroes on the rooftops.)
Manipula: Ladybug, Cat Noir, you're going to be proud of me! The superheroes are back! And if you give me your Miraculous, then Monarch will renounce evil! The Grevin Museum will once again be able to celebrate heroes!
Ladybug: That's great, uhh… Véronique?
Manipula: I am Manipula now.
Ladybug: If you really want to help us like you've always done, then reject the akuma.
Cat Noir: Monarch's manipulating you!
Manipula: Don't worry, if he doesn't keep his end of the deal, then I'll defeat him with my team of superheroes!
Cat Noir: He can take his powers back whenever he wants, you know?
Ladybug: Trust us.
Monarch: (from his lair) How can you trust Ladybug if she won't trust you?
Manipula: You should be the ones trusting me, Ladybug and Cat Noir. I have a team of superheroes, which you no longer do.
Ladybug: She's right. They're gone because of me. I lost the Miraculous and my team too.
Cat Noir: You didn't lose me. As long as Monarch doesn't have our Miraculous, he hasn't won. And we need everyone's help, including you, Véronique.
Manipula: You're right. You do need me. I'm the new hope! (snaps her fingers as wax statues of Vesperia and Rena Rouge ambushes them from behind)
Cat Noir: It's a trap! (Ladybug and Cat Noir evade the ambush quickly and slices the statues in half. The other wax heroes disappear in thin air.)
Manipula: You chose your side. Too bad for you! (runs away)
Cat Noir: Illusions!
Ladybug: (picks one of the brochures on the ground and rips it in two) What is this? (captures the purple dust with her yo-yo) Each strip contains a part of the megakuma.
"Well, this has never happened before," Marinette noted as she looked in shock as well as everyone else about the megakuma in the brochures on-screen.
Cat Noir: We've got to destroy them all to capture it. Let's do this! (vaults away with Ladybug)
Monarch: (from his lair) See, I was right! Ladybug is not worthy of your admiration. She doesn't want peace or she would have agreed to your deal!
Manipula: You can count on me to get the Miraculous, Monarch. (joins with the rest of the wax heroes) Paris has a new superhero! Gather in pairs and get me Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous! (The wax heroes split up to find the two heroes.) In the meantime, I'll make sure the mayor gives way for my museum to honor the real heroes! (walks towards the city hall)
"Daddy," Chloe said with concern towards what Manipula is going to do to her father on-screen with Sabrina trying to comfort her.
Scene: Interior, City Hall. Manipula barges into Mayor Bourgeois' office.
Manipula: Mr. Mayor, you're going to allow my museum to open the Hall of Heroes!
Mayor Bourgeois: (stutters in panic) Y-Yes! I-I-I—
Chloé: Daddy, no!
Mayor Bourgeois: (whimpers) Ma'am, I'm terribly sorry, but I can't.
"Is he seriously more afraid of his own daughter than a supervillain?!" Kagami asked in exasperation towards Mayor Bourgeois on-screen. Everyone else (including Chloe) gave shrugs in response, exasperated as well.
Manipula: So be it! Cat Noir?
Wax Cat Noir: (from the adjacent floor) Cataclysm!
Manipula: If you don't change your mind, I'm going to destroy your city hall. Are we still adapting to the times, Mr. Mayor?
Chloé: (panics) DADDY!
Scene: Parisian streets. On the rooftops, Ladybug and Cat Noir face Purple Tigress and Pigella's wax statues attack them, causing them to fall to pieces. Cat Noir rips the brochures from the statues, allowing Ladybug to capture the purple dust emitted from them. Shortly after, wax miniature copies of Polymouse attack the two heroes, who knock them off as well. Cat Noir hides them under a bucket and rips Wax Polymouse's brochure in half, releasing yet another purple dust in the air as Ladybug captures it. Behind them appear the wax statues of King Monkey and Pegasus, who the duo also race off to defeat. At the Seine, Ryuko's wax statue emerges from the water, along with Aqua Bug and Aqua Noir.
Aqua Bug and Aqua Noir: Power down! (reverts to their normal superhero identities)
Cat Noir: (takes the brochure from wax Ryuko's forehead and rips it in half) Go fish! (Ladybug captures the purple dust with her yo-yo.)
Ladybug: (bashful) You're in great shape these days, kitty cat.
Cat Noir: We can't afford to make any more mistakes. (The two heroes head straight to the city hall.)
Scene: Interior, City Hall. Ladybug and Cat Noir barge inside to face the wax copies of themselves.
Wax Ladybug: Lucky Charm! (summons a ginormous sword)
"Again with that giant sword?! Can't he think of other unique fake Lucky Charms for once?!" Marinette asked in exasperation along with everyone else murmuring in agreement towards the Wax Ladybug's Lucky Charm on-screen,
Ladybug: They look… just like us!
Cat Noir: But we're… one-of-a-kind! (The battle ensues. Cat Noir is able to defeat Wax Ladybug swiftly, slicing her in half. Ladybug entangles Wax Cat Noir, ready to defeat him too, but she hesitates when he starts to seek mercy from her.)
Wax Cat Noir: You wouldn't dare! M'lady, it's me!
"I cannot believe I let myself get confused by this! I should've known that Cat Noir was fake when he had that brochure on his head!" Marinette facepalmed in embarrassment towards herself on-screen with Adrien trying to comfort her.
Cat Noir: It's just an image, m'lady! A wax copycat! I'm your real partner! (Finally catching Ladybug off-guard, Wax Cat Noir meows as he ambushes her from behind but is quickly sliced off by the real Cat Noir. Ladybug falls on her back on the floor. He runs towards Ladybug) M'lady! (reaches out her hand to her) I'm here. (Surrounded by pink bubbles, Ladybug becomes briefly mesmerized by Cat Noir's actions and slowly takes his hand. Cat Noir pulls Ladybug up and proceeds to the office to face Manipula, but seeing Ladybug dazed, he stops and checks on her.) You okay?
"Um, what's happening to me there?!" Marinette asked, both confused and concerned for her future self's state of mind.
"You'll see at the end," Angel teasingly said towards the blue-haired girl much to her and everybody else's frustration.
Ladybug: Y-Yeah! I'm fine! Lucky Charm! (receives a bowling ball. The two heroes ram the door to Mayor Bourgeois' office. Manipula is seen sitting smugly on the Mayor's chair. On the other side of the office, Wax Minotaurox is seen holding Mayor Bourgeois and Chloé hostage.) Let the Mayor and his daughter go!
Manipula: Not until he authorizes the opening of the Hall of Heroes in my museum!
Ladybug: (to Mayor Bourgeois) Why wouldn't you allow it?
Mayor Bourgeois: Uh, Chloé, honey, I don't think that was a very good idea.
Chloé: (furiously) All this is all because you were lame, Ladybug! And you lost the Miraculous because of your lameness! If you had kept me, Queen Bee, this never would've happened! And now, you get what you deserve, Lady-lame! Since you're a superhero, you have no choice but to protect me from that villain! So, who's the lamest one of all? (Ladybug grows a shameful expression upon Chloé's words, and Cat Noir tries to reassure her.)
"You do know that in spite of these harsh words, you're still somewhat supporting Ladybug to win, right?" Angel rhetorically asked the blonde girl and after some thought and small glares from everyone else, Chloe reluctantly nodded in agreement.
Manipula: Seems like you haven't been making the right choices, Ladybug. But since you've chosen to go up against me and my superheroes, then this fight will be your last! (Ladybug starts to look around under pressure, only to find nothing for her Cucky charm to be used.)
Ladybug: Nothing!
Cat Noir: Cataclysm! (runs towards Manipula only to be stopped by her by clutching on his arm)
Manipula: Why waste your time trying to break my weapon, kitty? Why not use it directly on me?
Cat Noir: (mortified) She's lost her mind!
Manipula: (after placing Cat Noir's Cataclysm on herself, but was immune to it) That's right! Monarch gave me a little gift; I am invincible to your powers! Take care of this! (throws Cat Noir towards Wax Minotaurox who is about to take off his ring)
Ladybug: Cat Noir, no! (runs towards him)
Cat Noir: Ladybug, watch out! (Ladybug gets tackled down by Manipula.)
Manipula: Thanks to me, hope is going to return to the hearts of Parisians!
Ladybug: What you think is hope will only lead to despair!
Manipula: And how do you plan on stopping me? Your powers can't hurt me or Minotaurox!
Ladybug: (as Manipula is about to take a hold of her earrings) Cat Noir, it's over!
Cat Noir: (while fending off Wax Minotaurox from getting his Miraculous) You're wrong about your power, m'lady! (grunts) Your real power has never been in the objects, it's always been in figuring out how to use them! (Ladybug gasps in realization as she starts using her vision again to use her Lucky Charm. She spots her bowling ball, a book cart, a ladder leaning on the shelf and on the chandelier above her head.)
Ladybug: (upon kicking the bowling ball towards the book cart, causing a Rube Goldberg effect with all the objects) You may be invulnerable to superpowers, Manipula… (elbows her from behind) but that doesn't mean you're invincible! (The chandelier crashes on Manipula. Ladybug rips all the remaining brochures in half as purple dust fly into the air and captures it with her yo-yo.) Gotcha! (opens her yo-yo) Bye-bye, little butterfly! Miraculous Ladybug! (throws the bowling ball in the air. The broken wax statues brought to life by Manipula gets cleaned up and the chandelier atop Manipula has been returned back to normal. Manipula de-transforms back into Véronique. Ladybug then gives Véronique a magical charm.) Véronique, this magical charm will help you remember to never give up hope. We will always be there for you. (to Mayor Bourgeois) Mr. Mayor, I promise that we will defeat Monarch and bring back our real heroes. But to do that, we need everyone's support. People need the hope that Véronique's museum can offer!
"Wow! Physics has really worked well in your favor, Marinette!" Max said to his friend in shock with everyone else murmuring in agreement after she managed to use physics to defeat the supervillain on-screen.
Mayor Bourgeois: You're right, Ladybug. I will support the opening of the Hall of Heroes. (Mayor Bourgeois shakes hands with Véronique. Chloé scoffs from behind, as she yet again fails to have her way.)
Ladybug and Cat Noir: (fist-bump) Pound it!
"Pound it!" The two heroes fist-bumped and kissed in victory.
Scene: On the rooftops. Ladybug and Cat Noir make their run before they de-transform.
Ladybug: (pulls Cat Noir on his tail to stop him) Cat Noir, wait! (Cat Noir turns to look at her) Thanks for what you did earlier. I couldn't destroy that Wax Cat Noir because… ever since we've been alone again without the other superheroes, I've seen you differently. I think… my feelings for you have… changed. I've realized that I can share things with you that I can't share with anyone else.
Cat Noir: I know how you feel. No more misunderstandings between us, m'lady. We really are the best partners in the world; it's as simple as that! I can't thank you enough. And because of you, I've finally realized my true feelings. Speaking of, I gotta go. I have something to finish.
Ladybug: (dejectedly) You really have to go right now?
Cat Noir: We're about to de-transform, but we'll see each other again soon. No worries! (vaults on the rooftops, leaving a heartbroken Ladybug behind)
"OK, what just happened here?! What do you mean your feelings for Cat Noir have changed?!" Alya asked her best friend in exasperation.
"I have no idea. I'm just as lost as you all are!" Marinette answered, defending herself. Angel then pointed to the screen, indicating that everyone should watch further to get their answer.
Scene: Exterior, Musée Grévin. Cat Noir de-transforms on the roof. Inside the museum, Luka, Kagami and Adrien are looking for Marinette.
Adrien: Marinette! Marinette! Marinette! Marinette!
Marinette: (peeks out behind a statue) Phew! Are we out of danger? Is it over?
Adrien: (happily runs towards Marinette upon hearing her voice) Marinette! Yeah, don't worry, everything's okay now!
Marinette: (chuckles nervously) Good! With this whole akumatized villain thing, it's gotten so late, and now, I gotta go. (starts to walk away slowly) Besides, I have some sewing to do and some stickers to stick. See you later, guys! (runs away. Adrien waves goodbye.)
Kagami: So, have you figured out how you feel about Marinette?
Adrien: (lovestruck) Yes, I think I'm in love. (Outside the museum, Marinette walks in the rain with a heavy-heart. She turns to look at a poster of Cat Noir in front of her and breaks down, crying.)
"OK, REWIND! IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?!" Alya asked excitedly about the fact that Adrien just said that he's in love with Marinette on-screen along with everyone else.
"Yes, it's really happening. Adrien has now finally realized his romantic feelings for Marinette," Angel said and everyone else started cheering in excitement (except for the two heroes who just gave each other blushing smiles) before Angel stopped them. "Don't get too excited. There's one little problem with that," Angel then said as she pointed to the screen.
Tikki: (peeks out from Marinette's purse) Are you okay, Marinette?
Marinette: (as her eyes are tear-stricken) No, Tikki, it's a cat-astrophe! I think I'm falling in love…!
"SERIOUSLY?!" Everyone in the audience (including the two heroes) asked in exasperation.
"Yep. This love thing between you two has now switched: Adrien is now in love with Marinette while Ladybug is now in love with Cat Noir," Angel explained with a shrug in which everyone facepalmed in response.
"I swear you two are like a non-stop soap opera!" Alix noted towards her superhero friends in which everyone else murmured in agreement, still exasperated at the situation. Meanwhile, the two heroes just said nothing as they gave concerned stares towards each other. Adrien then gave Marinette a warm smile in which she gave a warm smile back.
"OK, everyone, the next episode is called Passion which refers to the Goat Miraculous," Angel announced to her audience. "Nathalie gets akumatized into a new supervillain called Safari who is like a hunter hunting for the two heroes," Angel explained further about the episode in which everyone else gave concerned looks, especially towards Adrien who is the most concerned himself. "OK, let's play!"
