Scarabella: I'm sure you'll understand that we can't answer that question. But Ladybug and Cat Noir have nothing to feel guilty about.
Kitty Noire: We'll accomplish our mission just like they did, because the goal we all share is to defeat Monarch, isn't it?
Clara Contard: Or perhaps Ladybug and Cat Noir renounced their mission so they could finally live their love story?
Scarabella: They were never in love or in a relationship, and neither are we.
"We all really have no idea!" Adrien deadpanned about his love situation with Marinette/Ladybug in which everyone else murmured in agreement.
Kitty Noire: (leans on her staff) So far anyway!
"Is Zoe flirting with me?" Alya asked much to everyone else's amusement as they chuckled in response.
"Well, you do look good in my suit," Marinette teasingly said to Alya which made everyone else chuckle harder in amusement.
Scarabella: Of course not! We just met! (Scene pans to Adrien frowning.)
Clara Contard: (v.o.) So, what should we call you?
Scarabella: Scarabella. Nice to meet you!
Kitty Noire: Kitty Noire. I've got a feeling we're gonna get along!
Scarabella: I'm sure we will! (Scarabella and Kitty Noire leap off, to Clara's awe.)
Nadja Chamack: Well, Clara, seems like Paris now has two new heroines with strong personalities! Let's wish the best of luck to Scarabella and Kitty Noire! (Adrien turns off the TV and looks at his phone showing Marinette in his contact list, just a button away in calling her. He stands up from his couch and walks to his foosball machine and attempts to play with it, but loses interest in a few seconds as he continues to wait for Marinette's call on his phone and frowns again, leaning on his foosball machine.)
"Missing me?" Plagg teasingly asked his holder.
"No, I'm sad because I probably have to eat all the Camembert I have for you!" Adrien sarcastically responded in which everyone else giggled in amusement.
Scene: Parisian streets. Scarabella is seen swinging from building to building. She arrives in her room and lands safely.
Scarabella: Spots off! (She de-transforms into Alya.)
Alya: So, tell me, Tikki! How'd I do?
Tikki: You were fantastic, Alya! (whimpers)
Alya: Oh, it's the interview, wasn't it? Did I say something wrong?
Tikki: No, no! You were perfect! It's just... I was thinking about Marinette. I hope she's okay. (Tikki hides quickly as Ella and Etta enter Alya's room.)
Ella and Etta: Alya, Alya! Marinette's here! She brought chouquettes!
Alya: Marinette!
Marinette: (gives the bag of chouquettes to Ella and Etta) Enjoy, you little tornadoes.
Ella and Etta: Yay! (Alya closes the door after the twins leave her room and hugs Marinette.)
Marinette: Tikki couldn't have made a better choice to replace Ladybug.
Tikki: (zooms out of Alya's fanny pack and reunites with Marinette) Oh, Marinette!
Marinette: Well done, Tikki!
Alya: Wow, this morning my BFF couldn't leave her bed drowning in a pool of her own tears, and suddenly now, look at those happy dry eyes and rosy cheeks! (Marinette holds both her cheeks) Did we miss an episode or something?
Marinette: (her phone rings and answers Adrien's call as Alya begins to watch her suspiciously) Adri-mine— uh, Adrien! (titters) You left your bag at my place?
Alya: (to Tikki) He left his bag... at her place?
Marinette: Yes— uh— no, you can't come over! Uh— no no. No, nothing serious, I'm just, uh… shaving my socks! (chuckles) I just hate lint! Sure, okay, I'll bring you your bag tomorrow. (ends call) Oh, "shaving my socks"!? It makes no sense! I can't believe myself sometimes…
Alya: How many episodes did I miss?
Marinette: What? No, there's been no new episode.
Alya: Then, how did we go from "I'm pathetic and I'll never love again" to "Yay! I'm going out with Adrien"?
Marinette: I'm not going out with Adrien…
Alya: Hmm… but he did leave his bag, so he was over there, wasn't he? (gasps) Did you guys kiss?
Marinette: No!
Alya: Did you at least hold hands?
Marinette: No, we didn't!
Alya: I got it! You finally told him you love him!
Marinette: That's not exactly how it went…
Alya: So then, exactly how did it go?

Alya: Stop worrying about this stuff. Secret identities, the war on Monarch, that's all Scarabella and Kitty Noire's problem now. You no longer have to worry about losing your Miraculous because of love. Just focus on Adrien. I'm sure you can do better than just raising your hand whenever he talks to you. (Marinette blushes.)
Scene: Exterior, Le Grand Paris. Kitty Noire lands on the balcony.
Kitty Noire: Claws in! (She de-transforms into Zoé.)
Plagg: Panache and repartee, you have my congratulations! You only lack one thing keeping you from being the perfect holder: a cheese cellar.
Zoé: Then, you'll be happy, Plagg! I live in a hotel! And the restaurant has the largest cheese cellar in Paris! (Zoé's last line, "largest cheese cellar in Paris" echoes in Plagg's ears, causing his eyes to dilate.) But you have to be very careful!
"The largest cheese cellar in Paris?! You sure you don't want to give your Miraculous to Zoe?" Plagg asked Adrien as he daydreamed of going into the hotel's cheese cellar much to the audience's amusement and mild annoyance.
"Nice try, Plagg," Adrien teasingly deadpanned in which Plagg moaned in exasperation while the audience chuckled in amusement.
Plagg: (upon settling inside Zoé's beanie) "Careful" is my middle name!
Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris. Zoé exits the elevator and sneaks towards the kitchen. As she opens the kitchen door, she stumbles upon Chloé eating an ice cream.
"UH-OH!" Everyone in the audience (except for Chloe) said as soon as Zoe came face-to-face with the blonde girl on-screen, knowing that she's going to throw some kind of fit. Chloe just sported a nervous look about what she's about to say to her half-sister.
Chloé: What are YOU doing here? You and your dirty sneakers are not allowed inside the restaurant! The half-of-a-sister zone is limited to the freight elevator, the backstairs, and the broom closets! Get ready to move back to New York! MOOOOOOOM!
Zoé: I'm sorry, Chloé. It won't happen again. What can I do to make it up to you? (Chloé smirks at her remark.)
Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris. Zoé enters her room while carrying a pile of what seems to be Chloé's footwear and drops all of them on the floor.
"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!" Everyone in the audience said to Chloe as she shared a thoughtful look about Zoe doing stuff for her like she is on-screen. The blonde girl just frowned in silence.
Plagg: So it smells just like cheese, but it's not cheese? And it needs cleaning too!? How about I Cataclysm that sister of yours instead?
"How dare you say that about my foot odor, you utterly ridiculous cheese-lover!" Chloe said with a glare towards Plagg in which everyone else lightly giggled in amusement.
Zoé: It's pointless, Plagg.
Plagg: Zoé, you can't let them treat you that way; no one speaks to me like that! Just ask the T-Rexes — that is, if you can find one! BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT SO SMUG ANYMORE NOW, ARE THEY?
Zoé: It's best to stay out of trouble in this family if I'm going to protect my secret identity.
Plagg: You start by giving up cheese, and then you end up giving up on dignity, freedom, and justice!
Zoé: I feel like you like to blow things out of proportion, don't you?
Plagg: Yes… especially when I'm starving.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Gabriel's atelier. Gabriel starts to shrug each shoulder, starting a big band jazz musical number. Gabriel proceeds to dance towards the door, then leaps out. As Gabriel slides down, he improvises a vocal run only to be stopped by Nathalie, who stands in front of him.
After looking at Mr. Agreste's whole dance scene with their mouths wide open in shock, the audience then burst into the most raucous laughter they have ever laughed.
WHAT IS MY FATHER DOING?! (Adrien)
MY SIDE HURTS, DUDE! (Nino)
I CAN'T BREATHE! (Plagg)

Gabriel: (inhales) Can you smell that, Nathalie?
Nathalie: Don't tell me you've been making pancakes again?
The audience chuckled at Nathalie's question on-screen.
Gabriel: No, Nathalie! Even better! (shortly dances with Nathalie and twirls her around)
Scene: Back in Gabriel's atelier, Gabriel and Nathalie stand in front of Emilie's portrait. Gabriel then opens his Alliance ring.
Alliance Emilie: Warning threshold exceeded. Data beyond normal human capabilities have been recorded on two Alliances. Between 4:12 pm and 4:26 pm, Alya Césaire traveled 14.8 kilometers. Zoé Lee traveled 15.2 kilometers. Their routes were 98% identical.
Gabriel: Meet the new holders of the Miraculous: Scarabella and Kitty Noire!
Nathalie: Congratulations, Gabriel.
Gabriel: Now I just need the right combination of powers to deceive them! (presses the buttons within Emilie's portrait to open the hatch to his lair) Can you smell it now, Nathalie? The smell of victory! (goes down the pipe. Nathalie looks up at Emilie's portrait, worried.)
"Jeez, too cocky much?!" Marinette asked with a frown towards Mr. Agreste's confidence that he'll win on-screen with everyone else grumbling in agreement.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, down the crypt. Gabriel stands before Emilie's cryogenic pod.
Gabriel: The day has come, my love. Soon, the Miraculous of the Ladybug and the Black Cat will be mine and we'll finally unite them and make my wish! We'll be together again, at long last.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Nathalie's room. Nathalie is seen holding her phone, sentimentally looking back at Emilie's old videos.
Nathalie: I miss you, Emilie, but I'm so scared of the price Gabriel is willing to pay to bring you back.
Scene: Monarch's lair. Gabriel stands before his kwami cage.
Gabriel: The world is about to change, dear kwamis, and you are going to play your parts in this metamorphosis, here by my side!
Roaar: You always say that and you always lose!
Gabriel: You're not very kind, Roaar. But until now, I did not know the secret identities of the Miraculous holders! (All the kwamis whine in fear.)
Sass: That's impossible, he'sss lying!
Gabriel: We have to seize opportunities and we learn from our mistakes, don't we? I'll start by akumatizing someone to force the new holders, Alya Césaire and Zoé Lee, to turn into Scarabella and Kitty Noire! (takes off his ascot tie) Nooroo, dark wings rise! (Gabriel transforms into Monarch.)
Monarch: Then, I'll freeze them when they try to transform! Pollen, (Pollen's pod flies towards Monarch) your power is now mine! (gains the power of Subjection) And I'll be able to catch them both at once for I'll be many! Mullo, (Mullo's pod flies towards Monarch) your power is now mine! (absorbs the power of Multiplication) They won't see me coming for I'll be invisible! Orikko, (Orikko's pod flies towards Monarch...) your power is now mine! (...and gains the power of Pretension) No one will be able to harm me for I will be invulnerable! Stompp, (Stompp's pod flies towards Monarch and absorbs his power of Determination) your power's mine, too! And of course, I will be elusive. Kaalki, (Kaalki's pod flies towards Monarch) your power is now mine! (gains the power of Migration) Voyage! (creates a portal)
Daizzi: What can we do, Sass?
Sass: Nothing, I'm afraid, Daizzi. (frowns)
The audience is now worried about what's about to happen (especially towards Alya and Zoe on-screen).
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the boiler room. The Resistance are gathered around a table.
Nino: We never knew who Ladybug and Cat Noir were... and we never will. Today, we pay tribute to them. The Miraculous having been passed on to two new holders doesn't change anything, for our support isn't a matter of people, but one of principle, and that principle is called freedom! Speaking of which, Comrade Beurre Maître d'Hôtel is about to change the Ladyblog into the Scarablog, and do a story on the new superheroes to show our support! (turns off the music)
Adrien: I wonder what happened to Ladybug.
Marinette: I hope Cat Noir is okay. (frowns)
Adrien: (gapes at Marinette's remark and holds her hand) I'm sure he is. (Marinette panics upon the contact of Adrien's hand with hers. Zoé smiles at the scene. Max and Kim play around.)
"Here's one of the major reasons you two are taking your dating thing slow: Marinette, even though Adrien is aware of your feelings and he reciprocates, you still act all jittery and nervous around him," Angel pointed out in which the audience just gave weird looks towards the blue-haired girl who just blushed in embarrassment.
"Seriously? Am I ever gonna figure out why I act all nervous around Adrien?!" Marinette asked in exasperation towards herself on-screen.
"You will…eventually," Angel vaguely said as she replayed the episode.
Nino: Thanks to Max and Markov, we've finally set up the anti-akumatization system. Markov installed an app on your Alliances or smartphones. You can (opens his Alliance ring) activate it if you see someone being akumatized at school. If you press here, a signal is sent to this box, (points at a router placed on the table) which broadcasts the warning music, written by Kitty Section, throughout the school. (Nino presses a button on his Alliance ring and plays the music, which alerts Mr. Damocles in his office. The Resistance cheers with the plan's initial success.) Then, Kim, Mylène and Ivan will take care of evacuating the school, while Rose, Juleka, Zoé and Max try to stop Monarch's victim from being akumatized. Lastly, Nate, Adrien, Marinette, Alya and I will gear up with paintballs, so we're ready to fight back in case there's no way to stop the akumatization. (The school bell rings.)
Max: For every minute we're late to the cafeteria, we have a 30% less chance of getting fries!
(The Resistance disperses. Alya and Nino are left behind.)
Nino: Why weren't we picked? We clearly rocked as Rena Rouge and Carapace... right? (leans on the chair) You'd have made an awesome Ladybug!
Alya: It's better this way. We would've had to lie to each other to protect our secret identities.
Nino: (kisses Alya on her cheek) Well, it's okay. You don't have to be super to be my hero!
(Nino walks out the boiler room, leaving Alya with a smile on her face, but frowns right after as her eyes pan to her fanny pack and sighs. She then follows Nino from behind. Seconds later, Monarch is revealed to have been secretly spying on them, appearing after Alya leaves the room.)
Monarch: All I have to do now is (plugs out the wirings from the router) wait for a negative emotion. This shouldn't take long in a school. Multitude! (multiplies into five mini Monarchs and turns invisible, exiting the boiler room)
"I can't believe he was snooping on us and messing with our system!" Nino said in exasperation and anger towards Monarch on-screen with everyone else grumbling in agreement.
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the cafeteria. Zoé places a large amount of cheese on her tray, and sneakily gives one to Plagg who is inside her sling bag.
Plagg: (while hugging the piece of cheese inside Zoé's sling bag) Ahh, never before has pasteurization tasted so much like freedom! (Zoé looks around and heads to her table, not noticing that two invisible mini Monarchs are already spying on her from behind a plant box. Two more of them are spying on Alya, and one on top, overseeing the entire cafeteria.)
Marinette: (as Adrien helps her with her seat) Thanks, Adrien. (Upon sitting down, Marinette blushes as all her classmates' attention is pointed at her and Adrien. Her friends cheer her on from Adrien's rear.)
"This is an attempt at a first cafeteria lunch date between you two," Angel noted to the two heroes who looked on in surprise while everyone else murmured enthusiastically in excitement.
"Kinda makes me feel self-conscious that everybody in the cafeteria is watching," Marinette said as she nervously gritted her teeth towards her blushing embarrassed friends with Adrien nodding in agreement.
Adrien: Did you see today's lunch salad is heart of palm? (raises his fork with a piece of the heart of palm)
Marinette: (nervously) Yes, palms! They remind me of the beach... (plays with her salad)
Adrien: What about the hearts? Do they remind you of something?
Marinette: Of course, they do! They remind me of... the heart of the beach! (A piece from her salad falls off from her fork. She picks it up with a hint of embarrassment and chuckles. Zoé watches Marinette with a smile from her seat. On another table, Chloé is seen taking pictures on her phone. Lila sits down next to Chloe.)
Lila: You're very generous to let Marinette get so close to Adrien.
Chloé: Generous? What does that mean? Alliance, (turns on her Alliance) define "generous".
"REALLY, CHLOE?!" The teens in the audience asked Chloe in exasperation that she can't define such a simple word.
"What?! Nobody's ever used that word around me before!" Chloe said in an attempt to defend herself and after some thought, everyone else gave looks that said "that makes sense!"
Alliance Adrien: I'm having trouble understanding your question.
Chloé: Ugh, that thing never works. Sabrina! (Sabrina turns on her own Alliance ring.)
Sabrina: Alliance, please define "generous".
Alliance Adrien: Giving freely and lavishly.
Chloé: "Lavishly"? "Freely"? Eww! There is no way I'm being generous. I am going to destroy Dupain-Cheng! (Back in Adrien and Marinette's table, Marinette attempts to reach out and hold Adrien's hand but shakes as she is a few inches away from his hand. She attempts to do it again, but this time forcibly reaching for his hand.)
"UGH! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!" Marinette asked loudly in exasperation towards herself on-screen much to everyone else's amusement.
Adrien: Are you okay, Marinette? If you're not ready, you don't have to.
Marinette: (while struggling to reach out for Adrien's hand) No! I can... do this! (grunts aggressively)
Adrien: You know, we can just be friends if you prefer.
Marinette: No! No, I don't want to be friends with you!
Adrien: (taken aback and gasps) I see…
Marinette: No! I didn't mean it like that! Ugh, my hand... will obey me! (Pulling herself to reach Adrien's hand causes her to fall off her chair. Chloé shows up in front of Marinette to humiliate her.)
"My hand will obey me?!" Alya teasingly asked her blushing best friend in exasperation as everyone else chuckled in amusement.
Chloé: So, finally back where you belong, baker girl? Crawling at my feet, of course!
Adrien: Chloé, go back to your seat, please. (reaches his hand out to Marinette, which she successfully held on to, and pulls her up)
Chloé: Don't be so nice to the baker girl, Adrikins. You're giving her false hope! Because you know what? No, you'll never guess, it's so ridiculous! Marinette Dupain-Cheng is... in love with you! (laughs maniacally)
Adrien: You can't reveal someone's secret to everyone, Chloé. It's really mean! (goes back to his seat)
"Not to mention that info is so a couple days ago, Chlo," Adrien noted to his childhood friend who is looking down in shame and embarrassment towards more of her mean behavior on-screen.
Chloé: A baker girl who thinks she's good enough to be with a rich and famous model? What a joke! It's funny, right? (silence ensues in the cafeteria) Right!? (looks at Sabrina) Sabrina!
Sabrina: (forcibly) Oh, yes. Very funny, Chloé.
Mylène: That's enough, Chloé!
Alya: Leave them alone, Chloé!
Chloé: You're not laughing because she's missing something: (picks up a piece of pie from Marinette's plate) a piece of humble pie. Get it? 'Cause she's a baker girl? (Chloé attempts to throw the pie at Marinette only to be stopped by Zoé in a nick of time. She gasps in disgust as Zoé puts down the pie back on the table and pulls her away from Adrien and Marinette's table) Should I call Mom and have you sent back to the hole you should never have crawled out of?
Zoé: Maybe I'll go back to New York, maybe not. But what's for sure is that you're going back to your seat and leaving Marinette alone! (pushes Chloé back to her seat)
Chloé: You're worse than her! (All the students in the cafeteria cheer for Zoé.) And you all, you're even worse than they are! (slams her fists on the table) I'LL CRUSH YOU ALL! (Zoé walks back to her seat, frowning, yet smiles as she looks at Marinette who is also smiling at her for doing a great job standing up against her cruel sister. Chloé is now fueled with rage.)
"Well, that was interesting to watch," Mylene noted about the whole cafeteria scene with Marinette, Adrien, Chloe, and Zoe, with everyone else nodding in agreement. Meanwhile, Chloe looked at her half-sister somewhat ironically in pride for standing up to her once she goes too far.
Monarch: Dear Chloé's humiliation is exactly what I need! (sets the akuma free from his cane) Fly, my megakuma!
Sabrina: Chloé's about to get akumatized! (The akuma flies towards Chloé, who proudly accepts it and enters her sunglasses.)
Monarch: (v.o.) Sole Destroyer, I am Monarch.
Mylène: What do we do?
Nino: The Resistance only has one enemy: Monarch! (opens his Alliance and activates the alert by pressing a button but becomes unfortunately faulty) It's not working! (The others try to activate the alarm as well but fails, too.) It's okay. We all know what to do! (All the students in the cafeteria evacuate the area as Chloé transforms into Sole Destroyer, starting up with her first target, Mylène, then Max, changing them into golden stilettos.)
Mylène and Max:
(as golden stilettos) Chloe, you're so pretty
I'm just a shoe, what a pity!
Sole Destroyer is your name
Crushing us is your vile game
"Oh, please! Please! Don't make me sing that annoying song!" Alya begged with everyone else murmuring in agreement as they reacted in annoyance towards the song Sole Destroyer makes people sing once she crushes them with her shoes on-screen.
Sole Destroyer: (laughs evilly) Soon you'll all be at my feet!
Mini Monarchs: (in unison) Our plan is in motion! Fall in! (One of his clones merges back with one of them, making them four clones, with two of them following Zoé, and the other two following Alya. On one of the tables, Adrien and Marinette are seen hiding, only to be found by Sole Destroyer as she lifts up the table.)
Sole Destroyer: Don't run, Dupain-Cheng. I'll help you finally find a shoe that fits! (Sole Destroyer laughs maniacally and targets Marinette, yet both her and Adrien escape from her clutches by throwing a chair at Sole Destroyer, disarming her as they run away.)
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the locker room. Zoé runs to find a place to hide and transform.
Plagg: Your intervention had as much character as a gourmet Camembert!
Zoé: I wish it didn't have to come to this, but I didn't have a choice. Plagg, claws—
Mini Monarchs: (in unison) Venom! (Before Zoé can transform, the two Monarchs who were following her ambushed her from behind, paralyzing her and Plagg, and now with Zoé and Plagg immobilized, Monarch seized the opportunity to steal the Black Cat Miraculous from her.)
"NO!" Everyone in the audience exclaimed in shock and panic that Monarch managed to get one of the main two Miraculouses on-screen.
Mini Monarch: One down!
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the girl's restroom. Alya hides in one of the cubicles to transform into Scarabella.
Alya: Tikki, spots—
Mini Monarchs: (in unison) Venom! (Alya, too, gets immobilized by Monarch, alongside Tikki, and steals the Ladybug earrings from her.)
"NOT THOSE TOO!" Everyone in the audience exclaimed in panic as the Ladybug earrings were now being taken by Monarch on-screen.
"He's got both of us now, Plagg! What do we do?!" Tikki asked as she's still afraid of what's going to happen to her and her fellow kwami now that they're in Monarch's hands on-screen.
"OK, Monarch has got you both and your Miraculouses now. But, you will see that his plan will fail once again," Angel said as she pointed to Tikki and Plagg, then to the screen as the audience sighed in relief.
Mini Monarch: Two down! Voyage! (The Mini Monarchs from the locker room and the restroom create a portal to flee with victory in their hands.)
Scene: Arènes de Lutèce. The Mini Monarchs exit the portal.
Mini Monarchs: Fall in! (The four clones merge together into one.)
Monarch: (wears the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous) I've waited long enough for this moment! My wish is within my grasp! (snaps his fingers to disable the Bee Miraculous' effect on Plagg and Tikki)
Plagg: (dashes to Monarch upon given movement and attempts to use his power on him...) Cataclysm! (...but is immune to it with the power of the Ox Miraculous, which causes him panic)
Tikki: What's going on?
Plagg: Quick, fly away! (Plagg and Tikki quickly flee from Monarch, but only one action can stop them from doing so:)
Monarch: Nooroo, Tikki, Plagg, unify! (And so Plagg and Tikki get pulled back to Monarch by force, preventing their escape.)
Plagg: I'll take care of Monarch!
Tikki: But there's nothing you can do against him!
Plagg: Not against him! But he wasn't wearing our Miraculous when he made himself invulnerable! (Tikki understands what Plagg is about to do.)
Tikki: You can't do that, Plagg!
Plagg: Don't worry, Sugarcube, we'll see each other again! You know that you and I are one. Do your Lucky Charm for Ladybug!
Tikki: You mean Scarabella?
Plagg: No, I mean Ladybug! (As the two kwamis resist the attraction, Tikki activates her power...)
Tikki: Lucky Charm! (She summons a red-polka dotted trash can, as well as creating another copy of the Eiffel Tower in the city. The Lucky Charm object hits the cloned Eiffel Tower and is sent into the sky, and knocks a pigeon midair. The two kwamis try to resist, but, alas, are continued to be pulled back to Monarch by force. Plagg goes to do his last resort.)
"A TRASH CAN?!" The humans in the audience asked Tikki in exasperation towards the Lucky Charm given on-screen as the kwami just gave a shrug in response.
"How's a disgusting garbage can gonna help?! Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!" Chloe said in panic towards the situation on-screen.
Plagg: Cataclysm! (Plagg activates his power and touches the Black Cat Miraculous, as well as causing mass destruction within the radius of the Arènes de Lutèce.)
"WHOA!" The audience (except for Plagg) exclaimed in shock towards the kwami's Cataclysm creating mass destruction around Paris on-screen.
"And that's why the episode is called Deflagration," Angel pointed out as the audience nodded in understanding, still shocked.
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the courtyard. Plagg's Cataclysm deflagrates the school as well. Tikki's Lucky Charm object tumbles towards Marinette.
Marinette: A Lucky Charm? This looks like the trash cans we have in our restroom. (gasps as she realizes and hides the trash can behind her) Alya! (calls Alya on her phone)
Scene: Arènes de Lutèce. Plagg's Cataclysm left a huge crater in the center of the arena. The Miraculous of the Black Cat on Monarch's finger disintegrates, to his shock. Tikki is seen plopped on the pavement whilst her uncontrolled power of Creation continues to wreak havoc in the city. Tikki attempts to escape only to be immobilized by Monarch.
"WHAT DID YOU DO, PLAGG?!" Tikki asked in shock towards the results of her fellow kwami's Cataclysm on-screen as well as everyone else.
Monarch: (stands up) You stay here!
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the courtyard. The effect of Tikki's uncontrolled power of Creation appears before Marinette's eyes as she continues to call Alya.
Alya's voicemail: Hey, it's Alya! Leave a message and stay connected! (Adrien and Nino are seen a few meters away from Marinette as Marinette runs away to hide.)
Nino: Dude, why aren't the new superheroes here already? What's going on?
Adrien: They're probably busy somewhere else in Paris…
"With both Alya and Zoe frozen, I guess it's up to us again, m'lady," Adrien noted to his girlfriend who nodded in agreement.
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the girl's restroom. Marinette, while holding the Lucky Charm, opens every single cubicle to search for Alya. Finding a locked cubicle, she peeks at the opening under the door.
Marinette: Alya? (enters the cubicle through the opening below the door and gasps at the immobilized Alya) Okay. You're frozen, untransformed, Eiffel Towers are sprouting around Paris, and I'm the one with the Lucky Charm. So, Tikki unleashed the power herself, which kwamis never do because of the devastating consequences that has. The situation must be desperate; otherwise, they wouldn't have done this. You didn't have time to react. The door is locked from the inside, so trapping you would have required the power of Teleportation. (gasps in realization) Oh, no. Monarch! (She begins executing her plan quickly by taking the trash can in that cubicle with her.) I'll come back for you, Alya.
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the courtyard. Sabrina is seen running away and is eventually caught by Sole Destroyer, turning her into a golden stiletto. Meanwhile, Adrien and Nino hide in the courtyard from where they see Sole Destroyer unceasingly capturing students, turning them into golden stilettos.
Sabrina:
(as a golden stiletto) Chloe, you're so pretty
I'm just a shoe!
Adrien: Where'd Marinette go?
Nino: And Alya!? Dude, they must have been hit by Sole Destroyer. (Adrien's phone rings. He opens it as he and Nino watch the news being broadcasted.)
Clara Contard: (on the screen, riding on a helicopter) Monarch appears to be alone, Nadja... standing in a huge crater that devastated Arènes de Lutèce. Even more troubling are the earrings he's wearing. Could this explain the absence of Scarabella? (zooms in to the Ladybug earrings that Monarch is wearing) Could Monarch have succeeded in seizing her Miraculous?
Adrien: What if our superheroes don't show up?
Nino: Then, that leaves the Resistance, Comrade Mayo!
Adrien: You're right, Comrade Ketchup!
Scene: Interior, the Dupain-Cheng's Residence, in Marinette's room. Marinette gathers a helmet, a tube of red and black paint, a red ribbon, a sports suit, a ball of blue yarn and the trash can she grabbed back in the school's restroom.
Marinette: (flexing her arm) Time to work my magic!
Scene: Arènes de Lutèce. The chaos continues to ensue before Monarch.
Monarch: (to Tikki) What's happening? And where's Plagg? (Tikki becomes reluctant.) I order you to answer me!
Tikki: When Plagg Cataclysmed his Miraculous, the ring, (Marinette is seen running towards the crater and sneaks in.) he destroyed his only means to communicate with the human world.
Monarch: I need both Miraculous to make my wish! How do I bring the ring and the kwami to me?
Tikki: You just need to repair everything by tossing the Lucky Charm in the air and saying the magic words.
Monarch: Where is the Lucky Charm? (Tikki crumples in terror) I command you to tell me! (Marinette begins to assemble everything she gathered according to her plan.)
Tikki: I entrusted it to the Universe. It is where it is supposed to be, but I don't know where that is.
Marinette (disguised as Ladybug): I'm here, Tikki. Everything's going to be okay.
Monarch: Ladybug? I thought I was done with you!
Marinette (disguised as Ladybug): I'm afraid your dreams haven't come true yet, Monarch.
Monarch: You no longer have any powers. Your earrings and your kwami are mine now!
Marinette (disguised as Ladybug): But you have a problem. By using their powers without a holder, the kwamis have triggered a series of events that will destroy Paris and then the world if I don't call up my Miraculous Ladybug. And only the person with the Lucky Charm can do it. (brings out the Lucky Charm object) You need to give back my earrings and Tikki so I can fix everything!
Monarch: That will also fix Cat Noir's ring, won't it?
Marinette (disguised as Ladybug): Yes.
Monarch: In that case... Voyage! (steals the Lucky Charm from Marinette and knocks her off to the side) Nooroo, Tikki, unify! (He combines the Butterfly and the Ladybug Miraculous and becomes Monarbug)
Monarbug: Watch me make my dreams come true! Miraculous Monarbug! (attempts to use the Miraculous Ladybugs to restore everything only to find out that the fake Lucky Charm was given to him) What?
"So that's why I took a regular trash can from the bathroom along with the Lucky Charm one," Marinette said as soon as she understood, in which Angel confirmed it with a nod and everyone else laughed hard in amusement.
"You know what would've been great? If the regular trash can was filled with garbage and it spills all over him!" Alya suggested in which everyone else laughed harder in agreement at that scenario.
Marinette (disguised as Ladybug): Impressive! (attempts to tackle Monarbug and gets thrown on a debris)
Monarbug: Venom! (aims the spinning top at Marinette as Nino quickly blocks it and takes the damage instead)
The Resistance: CHARGE! (The Resistance are fully geared as they blast Monarbug with paintballs. Marinette makes a grab of the earrings from Monarbug. Rose and Juleka joust toward Monarch using Sole Destroyer as their "weapon".)
"Huh. Never thought capturing an akumatized Chloe would be easy," Rose said as soon as she saw herself and Juleka hold Sole Destroyer to defeat Monarch with on-screen. Everyone else (including Chloe herself) murmured and shrugged in agreement.
Rose: Let go of her or we'll turn you into singing shoes! (With a snap of a finger, Sole Destroyer reverts back into Chloé.)
Chloé: Huh— What in the— Let go of me! (Now disarmed, Adrien makes a grab of the Ladybug Miraculous from Monarch and takes it away from him successfully. Rose, Ivan and Kim pile over Monarch.)
"This must be a new low for my father: being defeated by normal teenagers with paintball guns," Adrien said as he laughed hard at his friends' rescue plan along with everyone else.
"We probably don't even need superpowers to take him down!" Kim excitedly noted in which everyone else murmured enthusiastically in agreement.
Adrien: You're up, Ladybug! (gives the earrings)
Marinette (disguised as Ladybug): Thanks, comrade! (grabs it and runs to hide) Tikki, spots on! (Marinette transforms into Ladybug and quickly heads to where she placed the real Lucky Charm.)
Ladybug: Miraculous Ladybug! (She tosses the trash can in the air and cleans up the havoc caused by Sole Destroyer, as well as the anarchic mayhem made by the kwamis of Creation and Destruction, which also in turn, bringing back Plagg and repairing the Miraculous of the Black Cat on Monarch's finger. Ladybug quickly wraps her yo-yo around Monarch's hand only to discover that he has reforged the Chinese Zodiac Miraculouses into rings. She says, gasping upon grabbing hold of the Black Cat Miraculous) You reconfigured the Miraculous? (about to be tackled by Monarch but kicks him away)
Monarch: I'm more powerful than you'll ever be, Ladybug! Multitude! (creates ten mini copies of himself...) Voyage! (...and escapes to a portal. Ladybug, alongside the Resistance, gathers up after Monarch's successful escape.)
Scene: Monarch's lair. The Mini Monarchs have escaped to the lair successfully.
Mini Monarchs: Fall in! (The Mini Monarchs merge back into one)
Monarch: You can't win, Ladybug. It's just a matter of time... You won't always have someone to help you!
Scene: Exterior, Arènes de Lutèce. Ladybug checks on the Resistance.
Ladybug: Is anybody hurt? (helps Rose up)
Rose: No. Thanks, Ladybug!
Ladybug: No, thank you!
Nino: You can always count on us!
Ladybug and the Resistance: Pound it!
"POUND IT!" All the teens in the audience fist-bumped before the two heroes kissed each other in victory.
Scene: Interior, the Dupain-Cheng's Residence, in Marinette's room. Marinette is seen sitting beside Alya with Plagg and Tikki.
Tikki: How did Monarch manage to discover the secret identities of the holders we chose so quickly?
Plagg: I'm sure we didn't make a mistake.
Tikki: We're going to have to find new holders.
Marinette: We don't know how Monarch did it, but we do know that he doesn't know who Ladybug and Cat Noir are; otherwise, we would've lost long ago.
Tikki: But if you take your Miraculous back, then you'll no longer be able to have your love story... and you'll be sad again. (pouts)
Marinette: But we will win, Tikki. I know we will. (to Plagg) Go and give this ring back to Cat Noir.
Plagg: If it's okay with you, I'd like to say goodbye to Kitty Noire first.
Marinette: Of course, Plagg. (Plagg grabs the ring and flies away.)
Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris, in Zoé's room. Plagg flies into her room and sees Zoé head down in her arms, frustrated.
Zoé: Chloé was right; I'm ridiculous!
Plagg: You're not, you were fantastic! What you did in the cafeteria was heroic, and you weren't even wearing a superhero suit! Don't ever let anyone step all over you again, Zoé. From now on, you call the shots. (Zoé caresses Plagg's little cheek with her finger and gives him a Camembert tied with ribbon as a gift. Delighted, Plagg gladly accepts the gift from Zoé.)
Plagg: It was an honor to be your kwami. (Plagg flies away from her room, leaving a still frustrated Zoé.)
Scene: On the rooftops. Ladybug and Cat Noir sit beside each other.
Ladybug: I feel like there's only one formula that works, kitten.
Cat Noir: I guess so. You and me against Monarch.
Ladybug: You, me, our kwamis and the Resistance! Without them, Monarch could have won today. (turns to look at Cat Noir and raises her fist) To our kwamis!
Cat Noir: And the Resistance! (bumps his fist with Ladybug)
"Looks like we're back in business, m'lady," Adrien said to his girlfriend as he held his fist for her to reciprocate.
"Pound it!" The two heroes fist-bumped as everyone else cheered that Ladybug and Cat Noir are back on-screen.
"I love that you find me as a suitable replacement, but no one else can do it better than you, girl!" Alya said to her best friend and the two girls hugged each other.
"OK, the next episode is Perfection which refers to the Dragon Miraculous," Angel announced to her audience before turning her attention to Kagami. "Kagami, you're akumatized into a new villain called Ryukomori," Angel then said to the Japanese girl as she played the episode while Kagami and Longg then looked at each other with concern.
