Scene: Exterior, on the rooftop of Le Grand Paris. Zoé and Andre sit by Andre's dream cellar.
Andre: Are you sure, Zoé? (Zoé holds a picture frame oh-so dearly.) Look, back then, I wrote an entire movie to declare my love to her. Admittedly, the script was a bit long, but... that was only because I had so much love for my sweet Audrey! (shows Zoé his manuscript for the movie "Solitude")
Zoé: "Written by... Anaximandre"?
"ANAXIMANDRE?!" Everyone in the audience (with Chloe being the loudest) exclaimed in confusion over the name.
"That was your father's real name, Chloe. He changed it for your mother," Angel answered, specifically towards the blonde girl who widened her eyes in shock along with everyone else.
Andre: Uhm— Well... I changed my name in the name of love! In fact, I changed my life for love—
Audrey: (off-screen) Andre! Come and give me a foot massage! Where on Earth is he?
"Yeah! Bet it was worth it!" Alya sarcastically remarked about the Bourgeois marriage with the teens giggling in amusement, well except for Chloe who just frowned in embarrassment. "No offense, Chloe," Alya then said after noticing Chloe's expression.
Andre: Never bury your dreams, Zoé. You have two whole weeks left before the end of the school year to tell whoever it is you're in love with exactly how you feel!
"My sister's…in love?" Chloe stammered about her half-sister on-screen with everyone else cooing in excitement.
"Yep, Zoe's in love with someone," Angel confirmed for her audience with a nod, in which they began to coo in excitement again. "Don't get too excited! There's barely anything she can do about it."
"WHY NOT?!" The teens in the audience asked loudly in annoyance.
"The person Zoe's in love with is in love and already has someone else," Angel explained, in which the audience murmured in understanding, feeling a little sad for the teen girl on-screen. "So, now she's trying to decide whether or not to bury that crush forever."
Audrey: Andre?
Andre: Audrey, darling! Sorry to keep you waiting! I'm coming! (dashes away. Upon Andre's departure, Zoé keeps her lovesick eyes on the picture frame.)
Scene: Interior, Collège Françoise Dupont, in the library. The students are gathered around Mr. Damocles for an announcement.
Mr. Damocles: As you know, it's almost the end of the school year, which means it's almost time for our end-of-the-year dance! That's why we ask you to select the class representatives who will organize the event. Let me remind you that traditionally reps should be one 8th grade student and one 9th grade student.
Marc: The eighth graders elected Zoé Lee, Mr. Damocles.
Alya: And Marinette Dupain-Cheng has been elected to represent the ninth graders. (Zoé smiles cheek-to-cheek at Marinette.)
Mr. Damocles: Well, perfect, then! We'll meet with you both tonight to find out what you've planned. Surprise us!
"So, Zoe and I are organizing the end-of-the-year school dance?" Marinette asked curiously as well as everyone else and Angel responded with a nod in confirmation.
Scene: Interior, the Dupain-Cheng's residence, in Marinette's room. Marinette takes Zoé in her room.
Marinette: We're going to make a great team! Wait 'til you hear my ideas— (turns around to look at Zoé, who seems to have stopped moving) You okay, Zoé?
Zoé: (wide-eyed) Your room is... beautiful!
Marinette: Oh! Silly me. You've never been here before. Let me show you around! (pulls Zoé with her) This is my chaise lounge. I made it myself from salvaged parts. (opens her chest which happens to have tons of photos of Adrien inside and her gifts for his future birthdays) That's my storage chest— IT needs some tidying up. (holds her mannequin) My mannequin for working on my fashion designs, (scurries to her computer table) my desk, where I do my homework... and now, my most important spot: my creative workshop — with my sewing machine, threads, fabrics…
Zoé: (takes a look at Marinette's notebook) Woah... that's gorgeous!
"Is that my latest design?" Marinette asked while everyone else cooed in fascination and approval of their friend's latest fashion design on-screen.
"Yeah, that's the design of the dress you wanna wear for the dance," Angel explained in which Marinette took a closer look at the on-screen design.
"Maybe I can tweak it up a bit," Marinette said, deep in thought about the dress design.
"Whatever, girl. You're the one who's gonna be wearing it. It's still a gorgeous design though!" Alya then said to her best friend in which everyone else murmured enthusiastically in agreement, though Chloe's was a bit more restrained and reluctant.
Marinette: (chuckles) Thanks! It's just a sketch, of course. That's the dress I'd like to make for the dance. Well, I still have to get all the necessary pieces, but I hope I'll have time and... (accidentally pulls her "Adrien" drop down board) WAH! Oops, sorry! That's kind of dangerous and useless anyhow. I should just get rid of it already. I'm past all those "crazy" plans to try and talk to Adrien anyhow. (retracts her "Adrien" drop down board) Come on! Let's head to the patio! (On the balcony, Zoé and Marinette go sightseeing with a pair of binoculars.)
Marinette: Outdoors at the Trocadero?
Zoé: Under the vault of the Grand Palais?
Marinette: (gasps) The Eiffel Tower! It's the perfect place! (starts sketching on her sketchbook) That's where we should have our first kiss! It has to be exceptional, magical, miraculous— (gasps) I know, I need to learn how to say "I love you" first. I'm good at dreaming about it, but when it comes to actually doing something? It's almost impossible. Although... you could help me!
Zoé: Help you do what?
Marinette: I was thinking we could ask your stepfather about using the Eiffel Tower for the dance. But... maybe you don't want to bother him with that.
Zoé: No, totally the opposite! Let's go talk to Anaximandre!
Marinette: Um... who?
Zoé: I mean, let's go talk to my stepdad, the Mayor of Paris!
"It might not be a surprise anymore, but what do you all think? The school dance at the Eiffel Tower with lights and music and everything?" Marinette asked her classmates.
"YEAH!" The teens in the audience cheered at the idea, now excited about the upcoming dance.
Scene: Exterior, Le Grand Paris. As the girls are about to enter the building, Marinette stops and panics for a moment.
Marinette: I just realized that if your "lovely" half-sister sees us together, she'll make your life a living nightmare!
Zoé: Chloé doesn't have that power anymore! (Zoé and Marinette proceed inside.) Hello, Armand! So, did Justine like the movie yesterday?
Armand: Hello, Zoé! Justine loved it so much that it's all she talks about now.
"My butler's name is ARMAND?!" Chloe asked very loudly, now more embarrassed than ever that she called her butler by a wrong name all these years much to everyone else's secret amusement.
"Maybe you should follow Zoe's example and ask your butler politely about his name," Angel suggested in which everyone else chuckled in agreement while Chloe just looked down in embarrassment.
Zoé: Awesome! (to a maid) Hello, Sophie!
Sophie: Hello, Zoé! How are you doing?
Chloé: (to Zoé) What gives you the right to bring the baker girl into my house?
Zoé: This isn't your house, Chloé. It's ours.
Chloé: I only tolerate your presence as long as you stick to my rules! And right now, Dupain-Cheng has set foot on the first step of my stairs!
Armand: (dashes to Chloé to give her Mr. Cuddly) Your Mr. Cuddly, Mademoiselle. I washed it with a new fabric softener. Lavender scented. I hope you like—
Chloé: I don't care (throws Mr. Cuddly on the floor) about your lavender, Jean-Benoît!
Zoé: The butler's name is Armand, not Jean-Benoît. As for Marinette, she hasn't stepped foot on your stairs. (Scene shows Marinette's feet that are inches away from the first step of the stairs.)
Chloé: I saw it! I know I did! We'll check the hotel's security cameras. DADDY!
"No offense, Chlo, but that sounds like a gigantic waste of time," Adrien deadpanned towards Chloe in which everyone else nodded in agreement.
"And besides, Chloe, isn't this a hotel? I bet a lot of feet have been on those stairs," Angel pointed out to the blonde girl who reluctantly nodded in agreement, embarrassed by more of her bratty behavior on-screen.
Andre: Oh, I'm sorry, sweetie, but we're in the middle of a computer update, and the last five minutes weren't recorded because the cameras were off… (Zoé gives Chloé a triumphant look, who is now very furious. Seeing Audrey walking down the stairs, Chloé takes an opportunity to seek help.)
Chloé: Moooom! My half-of-a-sister has allowed the baker girl to walk up MY stairs! (Audrey seems to be unbothered.)
Audrey: Since when do you need me to torment your sister, Zoé?
Chloé: But... I'm not Zoé. It's me, Chloé!
Audrey: Yes, well, Chloé, Zoé, who cares? Stop confusing me or I'll send you both back to New York! As for the stairs, they're MINE, so shoo, both of you! (to Andre) Gold, diamond and platinum!
Andre: (gives a credit card to Audrey) Here you are, my darling, Audrey!
"The perfect marriage and family life, ladies and gentlemen!" Angel sarcastically deadpanned about the Bourgeois family, in which everyone else (except for Chloe who frowned in embarrassment) giggled at Angel's remark.
Zoé: Chloé, I believe you're still on the stairs, and if you've been listening to our mother, that's no longer allowed. Unless you want to go back to New York with me?
Chloé: (growls) I'll make you pay for every one of these steps!
Zoé: (deadpan sarcastic) Sure, Chloé, of course, you will. In the meantime, have a nice day.
Chloé: Don't you dare go ANYWHERE near my room! (Sabrina picks up Mr. Cuddly and follows Chloé from behind.)
"In case you haven't noticed during all these years, Chloe, but I've been trying to avoid and get away from you as much as possible. Why would I go anywhere near your room?" Marinette asked the blonde girl in exasperation, in which Chloe reluctantly nodded in understanding.
Marinette: Wow...! What happened to the scared Zoe who moved here from New York just a few months ago?
Zoé: It's all thanks to you, Marinette. You're the one who helped me change! (As Zoé and Marinette proceed to talk to Andre, Chloé and Sabrina are still seen eavesdropping on the two.) Andre, I have a question for you, or rather for the Mayor of Paris.
Andre: (brings out his portrait) The Mayor of Paris is listening to you, my dear Zoé!
Zoé: Marinette and I have been selected to plan the end-of-the-year dance at school, and we were wondering if there is any way we can have it on the Eiffel Tower!
Marinette: (holds up her sketch book containing the sketches of her plan) There'll be a concert, then a DJ set, a buffet, and for those who don't like to dance, a trampoline stretched between the four pillars of the tower!
Andre: Interesting! (a montage of Andre as a cinematographer flashes on the background as he gets carried away) We could also film the evening, and the images would be projected in real time on a giant screen. A film within the film about the film of the party, because cinema is life and life is cinema... (montage ends) and if someone needed to proclaim their love for somebody else, this would be the perfect place and time for it... (clears throat) Well, by the powers vested in me, the city of Paris authorizes you to hold this party on the Eiffel Tower. (gives the sketchbook back to Marinette)
Marinette: (takes her sketchbook from Andre) Thank you, Mr. Mayor!
Andre: And by the way, if Chloé comes asking questions, (whispers) we never had this conversation.
Zoé: You got it, Anax! (Chloe, still hiding to eavesdrop between the three of them, growls furiously.)
"Was it really necessary for my daddy to say that?!" Chloe asked angrily towards her father on-screen.
"Can you blame him?" Angel retorted, in which after some deep thought, Chloe's anger turned into sadness and she reluctantly nodded in agreement.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in the kitchen. The whole Agreste household is gathered around the kitchen table.
Nathalie: Raclette?
Gabriel: Yes, Nathalie. Adrien told me that he would enjoy this, (places a pot of potatoes on the griddle) and I've decided to make all my son's dreams come true.
Adrien: Thanks, Dad!
Gabriel: Would you like some salami, Nathalie? (offers Nathalie a plate with salami, only to be greeted by a doubtful face)
Adrien: Dad, could I go to the school dance with Marinette?
Gabriel: Dance...? (with a sudden change of mood, he places the plate back on the table) Adrien, you're an Agreste — too exceptional for–
Adrien: Marinette is exceptional, too!
Gabriel: (sternly) Adrien, I'm your father, and I order you to give up on this idea. (Adrien, with nothing to reply, simply looks down...)
Nathalie: Didn't you want to make all your son's dreams come true? (...but Nathalie is able to use his word against Gabriel, to Nathalie's content, who is then seen smirking at the surrendering look on Gabriel's face. Gabriel simply sits down on his chair.)
"Never thought that lady of all people would own your dad like that!" Alya said to Adrien, while laughing at Nathalie's retort towards Mr. Agreste, with everyone else (especially Adrien) laughing along with agreement.
Gabriel: (begrudgingly) Alright, fine.
Adrien: Thank you, Dad!
Scene: Interior, in someone's bathroom. Lila is seen pampering herself in front of a mirror.
"Hey! That's my bathroom and my makeup station! That loser's touching her disgusting face with my products!" Chloe said, acting like her old self in reaction to Lila using her makeup station on-screen, with everyone else rolling their eyes in annoyance.
Gabriel: (on-call) You're supposed to be protecting my son, and yet, Marinette Dupain-Cheng is still being a very bad influence on him!
Lila: Don't worry, Mr. Agreste. A plan is already in motion that should resolve this problem quickly, once and for all. (Lila turns off Gabriel's hologram from her Alliance and comes out of the bathroom to reveal that she has been in Chloé's quarters all along.)
Chloé: (while Sabrina pampers her nails with a nail file) Punching bags are supposed to be punched! They're not supposed to punch back!
Lila: The problem isn't Zoé, it's Marinette. She's the one setting a bad example for your half-sister.
Chloé: (jumps up onto her feet furiously) ARGH! I need to be done with this... anti-bullying party pooper!
Lila: I have the perfect plan to get rid of her for good, but it's going to require... you two. (points at Chloé and Sabrina)
Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris, in Zoé's room. Marinette, who comes in with Zoé, enters the room, ecstatic.
Marinette: Wow... we're actually getting the Eiffel Tower! (squeals) Well, we should probably plan this afternoon, go see Kitty Section and Nino for the music, my parents for the buffet— oh, and we need a florist for the decor. This is going to be the best party ever! (While Marinette is talking, Zoé spots a picture frame by her compartment. She rushes to quickly hide it.)
"I'm guessing Zoe's hiding a picture of her crush?" Alya teasingly asked in which Angel responded with a nod in confirmation. "She's reminding us of you, girl!" Alya then said to her best friend in which everyone else laughed hard in agreement, except for Marinette who just blushed in embarrassment while also sympathizing with Zoe on-screen.
Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris, in Chloé's room. Sabrina seems to be stuck in a dilemma.
Sabrina: But... I can't do something like that! (gets down on her knees) Chloé, I'd do anything to help you, but this... this goes against everything I stand for! You know my dad is a police officer! I just can't!
Chloé: It's precisely because your father is a policeman that no one will suspect you! And if you get caught, he'll clear your name.
Sabrina: You mean, he'll be furious with me!
Chloé: Do you want to be demoted from underling to punching bag? You want to join the baker girl and the half-of-a-sister?
Sabrina: (gasps) No! I'm your friend!
Chloé: (shakes her head 'no') Mmm-mmm. My underling. You are my underling. If you're not willing to do anything for me, then get lost! (Sabrina frowns tearfully and walks away, dejected.) Oh, wait! (brings out a whistle) Remember this?
Sabrina: (smiles hopefully) Oh, yes, my toot-toot whistle!
"Your toot-toot whistle?" Most of the audience asked Sabrina curiously.
"It's a whistle my dad gave me in case I feel threatened or I'm in danger," Sabrina quickly explained about her toot-toot whistle with everyone else nodding in understanding.
"Sabrina gets…stressed whenever she helps me, so she blows that whistle to calm herself down," Chloe explained, while also giving her best friend a guilty look about how she's treating her on-screen.
"But, now you must've taken it from her, so that you can get her to do anything you want without question," Angel pointed out before replaying the episode.
Chloé: (throws the whistle on the floor) Try whistling into it to see if you can ever find another friend who's half as good as me! (Sabrina runs out of the room, sobbing.) Your plan was lame and ridiculous! What are we gonna do now?
Lila: We're just going to wait. (Sabrina is seen in the corridor, wearing her whistle on her neck with a frown and continues to cry, burying her head in her knees.)
Scene: Monarch's lair. The lair window opens.
Monarch: Lila Rossi isn't lying when she promises something. I sense an emotion with rare power. (corrupts a butterfly into a megakuma) Kaalki, (Kaalki's pod hovers toward Monarch...) your power is now mine! (...and absorbs her power) Voyage, my megakuma!
Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris, along the corridor. The megakuma flies towards Sabrina's whistle.
Monarch: (from his lair) Vanisher, I am Monarch. Do you want to keep your best friend? Well, to that end, I am giving you back your power of invisibility.
Sabrina: (sniffs) Thank you, Monarch!
Monarch: (from his lair) And to increase your chances of success, I'm transferring the essence of the Miraculous of Adoration to you, which will give you the power to recall any object you'll have previously touched. Barkk, (her pod hovers towards Monarch...) your power is now mine! (...and absorbs her power) Transfer! (transmits the power of Adoration into Sabrina's Alliance) From now on, you will be able to steal undetected, risk-free. All you have to do is whistle.
Barkk now whimpered in fear of her superpower being used for evil with Sabrina trying to comfort her, though is worried too as she's the one akumatized.
Sabrina: Thank you, Monarch. (succumbs to the megakuma and transforms into Vanisher)
Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris, in Chloé's room. Lila's scheme seems to be going according to plan...
Lila: Three, two, one. (Vanisher breaks into Chloe's room.)
"Just like before with Kagami, Lila was counting on you Sabrina to be akumatized," Angel pointed out in which the audience responded with growls of anger towards Lila on-screen.
Chloé: (gasps, to Lila) Are you... a witch?
"That girl being a witch? That would definitely not be a stretch!" Marinette deadpanned towards Lila on-screen with everyone else murmuring loudly in agreement.
"So, how should we deal with her? Get a house to drop on her? Or splash a bucket of water on her and see if she melts?" Marc jokingly asked, which made the audience laugh hard (except for Adrien and Kagami who are just confused).
"I…don't get that," Adrien reluctantly said, making everyone else widen their eyes in shock.
"I'm afraid I also don't understand the joke," Kagami then pointed out herself.
"Have you two never seen The Wizard of Oz?" Marinette curiously asked the two in shock, in which the two teens shook their heads in denial.
"Dudes, that's like one of the greatest and most famous Hollywood movies of all time!" Nino said, shocked as well as the rest of the audience.
"Well, show us the movie sometime and maybe we'll finally understand that joke," Adrien then said in which the audience nodded enthusiastically in agreement.
Vanisher: I'm willing to help you, Chloé... if you're willing to keep me as a friend!
Lila: See? Now there's a good underling. (Vanisher walks towards where Chloé's phone is. She touches it with her whistle.)
Chloé: My phone! (Chloé is about to stop Vanisher but Lila gestures to her to stay put. Vanisher walks to Chloé and Lila as she whistles, "fetching" the phone that she touched with her whistle. Lila and Chloé smile at each other, satisfied.)
"As you can see, the akumatized whistle will act like the Dog's ball," Angel pointed out, making her audience nod in understanding though it also worries them (especially Barkk).
Scene: Interior, Le Grand Paris, in Zoé's room. Marinette is seen sketching a dress in her sketchbook.
Marinette: And voilà! This version is simpler — less princess-y, don't you think?
Zoé: Mhm!
Marinette: And with less items to gather and put together, I might actually finish this dress in time! (sighs) If only it was that simple with Adrien... I'm trying not to come up with any more complicated ideas, but it's still hard to tell him how I feel.
Zoé: I get it. Telling someone how you feel is... not easy. It's the most difficult thing in the world, actually. I also can't tell the person I love my true feelings.
Marinette: (gasps, excitedly) No way! You're in love? That's so awesome! Who is it? (squeals) Is it someone I know from our school? I'm so happy for you!
Zoé: It's... pretty complicated.
Marinette: If it's complicated, you can tell me. I'm an expert in complicated situations. (As Marinette and Zoé continue talking, Vanisher sneaks inside the room.)
Zoé: Anyway, there's no point in thinking about it because in two weeks time, we won't see each other anymore.
Marinette: (gasps and squints her eyes with a grin) A ninth-grader, then? (Zoé simply looks away with a little smile on her face.) I'm totally butting into your business but one thing I know for sure is that this person must be wonderful! If someone as awesome as you loves 'em.
Zoé: Yes. Wonderful. Loved by everyone.
Marinette: (laughs) Kind of like Adrien, then! I know how hard this is, but love conquers all! When you love someone, nothing's impossible, nothing's forbidden! Love has NO limits, no boundaries! (Vanisher spots Marinette's sketchbook by the corner of the bed.)
Zoé: Except... this person's in love with someone else.
Marinette: Oh... right. It does sound like that could be an obstacle. But who knows? Maybe he's not really in love with the person you think that he is. And even if he were, why couldn't he be in love with another person, or two people, or even no one at all?
Zoé: It's true: you ARE an expert at complicated situations, Marinette!
Marinette: Anyway, if you won't be seeing each other anymore in two weeks, there'll never be a better time than the party to say how you feel. (Marinette and Zoé go down to the hotel's lobby.)
Zoé: I have to call my drama teacher and tell him I can't make it to class.
Marinette: Okay. I'll wait for you outside.
Scene: Exterior, Le Grand Paris. Marinette talks to Alya over the phone.
Alya: (on-call) Wow... the Eiffel Tower! You girls nailed it!
Marinette: It was all thanks to Zoé — she's the real hero! (sits on her scooter) You should've seen her stand up to Chloé! She's not getting walked all over anymore! (whispers) Hey, did you know she has a secret crush on a ninth grader?
Alya: (on-call) No... who is he?
Marinette: I wish I knew... I would've helped her otherwise!
Alya: (on-call, laughs) You, the great expert of love declarations?
Everyone in the audience laughed hard in amusement along with Alya on-screen, except for Marinette who frowned and blushed in embarrassment.
Marinette: Come on, this is serious. Zoé's in eighth grade which means her true love won't be at the same school anymore next year.
Alya: (on-call) It's hard to help her if we don't even know who he is.
Marinette: True... (sees Zoé exit the door while using her Alliance with the hologram of Adrien on it, which may have caused her quite a misunderstanding as she gasps in realization) What if Zoé's in love with Adrien?
"Yep! You actually suspect that Zoe's in love with Adrien," Angel pointed out to the blue-haired girl who facepalmed for jumping to that conclusion on-screen, but also worried about what she might do to Zoe because of jealousy. "Don't worry, you're not going to do anything to Zoe!" Angel said, suspecting Marinette's concerns, in which she and everyone else sighed in relief.
"She's not really in love with me, is she?" Adrien then asked in which Angel responded by shaking her head in denial..
Alya: (on-call) Huh?
Marinette: Everybody loves Adrien! That would explain why she didn't want to tell me!
Alya: (on-call) What are you going to say to her if Adrien is the love of her life?
Marinette: I don't know. I'll keep you posted. Bye! (quickly keeps her phone)
Zoé: If we don't hurry, we're going to miss it!
Marinette: Who? Adrien?
Zoé: Um, no, the florist! The shop closes soon. You think about Adrien a lot, don't you?
Marinette: Uh— no! I don't think about him THAT much, you know? He doesn't belong to me. Well, I mean, he kinda does a little, but none of this matters because no one really belongs to anyone! What matters is (leans closer to Zoé) what brings us together and what you and I are supposed to do. You know, organize the school dance? (Marinette brings out an extra helmet from her scooter's compartment and gives it to Zoé to wear it. Both of them ride the scooter and drive away. Vanisher is seen tailing them.)
Scene: Exterior, at the flower shop. A florist demonstrates that the paper flowers can be glued with what seems to look like a spray adhesive. Vanisher sneaks just right beside them and touches the paper flowers and the bottle of spray can with her whistle, unseen.
Scene: Interior, Tom and Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie. Marinette starts sketching in her sketchbook as Tom and Sabine show Marinette and Zoé the designs incorporated in their cakes. Vanisher begins her move again by touching the lace doilies on the counter and the baker's peels with her whistle.
Scene: Interior, below the deck of Liberty. Marinette and Zoé discuss their ideas with Kitty Section, Nino and Anarka. Vanisher, still going with the plan, touches Anarka's pirate flag, the drumset and the guitar Nino is holding with her whistle.
"In case you all haven't caught that, Sabrina as Vanisher is stealing random items, especially those Marinette might need for her dress, so you can easily frame her as a thief, per Chloe and Lila's scheme," Angel explained the situation, in which everyone else nods in understanding though now really worried for Marinette on-screen. Chloe then just gave a guilty look towards Sabrina who is giving a guilty look herself towards Marinette.
Scene: At the Eiffel Tower. All the people that Marinette and Zoé have collaborated with are gathered with them at the venue.
Marinette: Once all the students are here, Kitty Section will open the evening with a concert. Anyone who doesn't like dancing…
Zoé: And who isn't afraid of heights…
Marinette: ...can have fun on a huge trampoline set up between the feet of the Eiffel Tower. My parents will have to prepare a buffet with the Dupain-Cheng bakery's most popular specialty.
Zoé: We'll also have the chance to enjoy beautiful decorative works by our talented, favorite florist! (Whilst the two are speaking, Chloé and Vanisher continue their plan behind the scenes. Vanisher blows her whistle, transporting everything that she touched with her whistle earlier to the Eiffel Tower. Vanisher then puts all of the things they gathered inside Marinette's bag, where a surprised Tikki witnesses unnoticed. Sabrina returns to Chloé, who smirks at her proudly.)
Chloé: (walking out of her hiding place towards everyone) Dupain-Cheng! Give me my phone back!
Andre: My darling, Chloé, do you want me to buy you another phone?
Chloé: No! I want my phone! The one that's in the baker girl's gym bag!
Tom: Don't you dare accuse my daughter! (Chloé walks towards where Marinette's bag is but Marinette beats her to it, grabbing it quickly as Tikki phases to a floor below to avoid being seen.)
Marinette: It's private!
Chloé: She wouldn't stop me from looking if she had nothing to hide. Super suspicious.
Adrien: (scowls) What are you doing, Chloé? Quit it!
Chloé: There will be no obstruction to my justice! (Chloé flips Marinette's bag upside down, pouring out all the contents of her bag and revealing that her phone is indeed inside the bag — a part of their plan to frame Marinette. Everyone gasps unbelievably at this sight.)
Marinette: (in disbelief) What?
Zoé: Chloé's planned all this!
Chloé: Oh, really? (drops the bag) And how did I do it? Am I a magician, maybe?
Marinette: Of course! Magic! An akumatized villain would've made these things appear in my bag!
Chloé: An akumatized villain? (laughs) And where is this "invisible" akumatized thief? Besides, why would this hypothetical villain use YOUR bag to stash things that, (takes Marinette's sketchbook and starts browsing it) wouldn't you know, look conveniently just like the elements you need for... your dress? (shoves Marinette's sketch to her face) Which looks utterly ridiculous, by the way.
Marinette: What are you talking about?
Chloé: Here's proof: these doilies have the initials "TS" on them. You think they stand for Thick Simpleton? No! They stand for Tom and Sabine! Because they come from the Dupain-Cheng bakery, don't they?! (Tom and Sabine nod) See? Her own parents are accusing her, (Marinette facepalms at the back) and they're right because…oh! Look what else I just found! (pulls out Anarka's flag)
Anarka: My flag!
Chloé: That's right! This disgusting thing belongs to her friend, Anarka! Just look at her sketch which is nothing short of a confession. (tosses Marinette's sketchbook to the side) Her evil intention was to cut your flag into pieces for her terrible dress. She doesn't just steal from her parents but from her friends' parents, too! And what's this...? (picks up the paper flowers on the ground and shows it to the others)
Florist: My flowers!
Chloé: And she stole her most beautiful paper flowers which she'd made with her own little hands! Those poor fragile little flowers… (Chloé ironically throws them away and lets them fly in the wind; they happen to land on Vanisher, blowing her cover. Marinette squints to the direction where Vanisher is.) And look what shines like a bright sun among those miserable things, my beloved, expensive gold phone that SHE stole from me!
Marinette: Why would I steal a phone to make a dress? It doesn't make any sense!
Chloé: To melt it down! That monster was planning to melt my gold phone into jewelry to go with her hideous dress! That's a first-degree phone slaughter! It's a good thing we caught her red-handed! The jury must convict the baker girl straight away! I rest my case.
"Gold jewelry doesn't even go with my dress! Come on, Chloe! You should know fashion!" Marinette exclaimed in anger towards the blonde girl who looked down in shame at what she's doing on-screen with everyone else glaring at her in anger.
Mr. Damocles: Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I'm so disappointed in you. Even though we're only a few days away from the end of the school year, all this evidence leaves me no choice but to expel you from school. (Sabine sobs, burying her head in Tom's chest.)
Tom: Marinette... what's happened to you?
Anarka: If you needed something, all you had to do was ask.
"SERIOUSLY?! Do you all lose trust in Marinette that easily?! Even you two, her own parents?! Even I would think akumatized villain before her!" Adrien then angrily ranted in Marinette's defense towards everyone else (including Tom and Sabine, but except for Marinette) who just looked down in shame and embarrassment while Marinette was just worried for herself at the situation on-screen.
Marinette: No, I—
Zoé: It was me! (Everyone turns their heads to Zoé.) Marinette had nothing to do with it!
Everyone in the audience gasped loudly in shock at that unexpected twist of events involving Zoe.
Marinette: What? No, Zoé—
Chloé: Are you out of your mind? Who do you think you are, ruining MY indictment!?
Zoé: I stole everything so Marinette could have her dream dress because... you should never bury your dreams. (Andre looks at Zoé with empathy.)
Chloé: Well, you just earned your ticket back to New York! (Behind one of the beams of the Eiffel Tower, Marinette runs to hide and meet with Tikki.)
Tikki: Marinette, I saw what happened! It was a supervillain—
Marinette: Vanisher, I know. Tikki, spots on! (She transforms into Ladybug and opens her bugphone.)
Ladybug: Cat Noir, it's me. We got a vanishing villain on the Eiffel Tower. Meet me there! (turns off her bugphone) Lucky Charm! (receives a piñata. Ladybug shows herself to the crowd.) I know who did this!
Chloé: (shakes her head annoyingly) Ugh, that's all we need. Maybe your piñata did it, Ladylame?
Ladybug: No, it was an akumatized villain! There — Vanisher! (She hurls her yo-yo towards the direction where Vanisher is, but then she is able to avoid it. All of them run to escape, except for Adrien who also happens to go hide behind a beam. The battle begins between Ladybug and Vanisher, with Vanisher throwing cymbals towards Ladybug but successfully evading it. Ladybug jumps down from the beam and spins her yo-yo as a shield from Vanisher's attacks. As a sound of a whistle was heard, Vanisher "fetches" one of the baker's peels and uses it against Ladybug, but the superhero in red is able to knock her down. Meanwhile, Adrien is still hiding behind a beam.)
Adrien: Ladybug's going to need us to plead her case! Plagg, claws out! (transforms into Cat Noir. Back to the battle, Ladybug is still looking for the invisible villain around. Vanisher then ambushes Ladybug from above and attempts to hit her with the peel. Ladybug manages to swing above a beam to evade her attack. Cat Noir joins her shortly.)
Cat Noir: I got your message and got here as quickly as I could, m'lady. (Ladybug uses her Lucky Vision, pinpointing the piñata in her hands, the bottle of spray adhesive and Cat Noir.)
Ladybug: Perfect timing, kitty cat! How would you like to help me reveal the truth? (points at the bottle of spray adhesive below them)
Cat Noir: Always happy to help a friend out of a sticky situation! (Our feline superhero jumps below to grab the bottle of spray adhesive, which catches the attention of Vanisher, as well as Monarch.)
Monarch: (from his lair) The only way to remain innocent and unmasked, Vanisher, is to seize Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous! (Vanisher spins around the peel she's holding, preparing for another blow. Ladybug then tosses the piñata in the air and crushes it with her yo-yo, causing the confetti to shower down on Vanisher. Cat Noir takes the opportunity to spray the adhesive on Vanisher to let the confetti stick to her, revealing herself. Vanisher whistles in panic in hopes to get another weapon, which gives Ladybug knowledge of where the megakuma is.)
Ladybug: The whistle! (It is a successful "whistle" after all — Vanisher gets hold of an electric guitar from the houseboat and uses it against Cat Noir. Ladybug throws her yo-yo at Vanisher to capture her and to finally steal the whistle from her, which she then tosses to...) Cat Noir!
Cat Noir: Cataclysm! (catches the whistle and disintegrates it, freeing the megakuma)
Ladybug: No more evil-doing for you, megakuma! (swipes open her yo-yo) Time to de-evilize! (captures the megakuma...) Gotcha! (...and frees the purified butterfly) Bye-bye, little butterfly! Miraculous Ladybug! (tosses the piñata into the air and repairs every damage caused by the villain. After every damage has been reverted, Vanisher de-transforms into Sabrina. Ladybug opens her yo-yo once more to give Sabrina a magical charm.)
Chloé: Sabrina! You were ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!
Ladybug: (walks to Sabrina and gives her the magical charm) This magical charm will help you remember where good and evil lie, and to make the right choices.
Sabrina: (holds the charm close to her chest) Thank you, Ladybug!
Ladybug: (about Zoé) This young girl is innocent. She was framed... by Vanisher.
Cat Noir: With Chloé's help. (Chloé squints her eyes in seething hatred, and shifts her head from side to side to see that all the people around her are looking at her suspiciously. She simply scoffs and walks away like the sassy girl that she is.)
"Of course you don't get in trouble for this!" Alya expressed her annoyance towards the blonde girl along with everyone else. Chloe just stayed silent, bowing her head down in shame.
Ladybug and Cat Noir: (fist bump) Pound it! (The two of them make their departure. Zoé and Andre exchange warm smiles.)
"Pound it!" The two heroes once again fist-bumped and kissed in victory.
Scene: Exterior, Le Grand Paris. Marinette's given Zoé a ride back to the hotel on her scooter.
Marinette: It was so kind of you, Zoé, but... don't ever sacrifice yourself for me or for anyone else. And the same thing goes for your feelings. (Zoé looks at her, unsure how to interpret Marinette's words. She sighs) I know... you're in love with Adrien. Don't sacrifice your feelings for him because of me. He has the right to hear your declaration.
Zoé: Adrien?! But you're the one he loves…
Marinette: Even if he loves me, he'd be flattered to know that you love him too. Let him know how you feel about him... (Zoé frowns and looks down.) Zoé, you're an amazing person. One can only feel honored to be loved by you.
Zoé: Are you sure?
Marinette: Of course! You can't keep it to yourself!
Zoé: But... Adrien's not the one I'm in love with.
Marinette: Oh? Who is it, then? (Zoé simply looks at Marinette and smiles, with no words needed to answer her question. With her reflection in Zoé's eyes, Marinette realizes that the person Zoé likes... is her.) Oh... Oh! Oh. (Zoé keeps her tender, loving smile and gaze at Marinette as the two share an embrace moments after) I am truly, very honored. I mean it, Zoé.
"So, it was me all along that Zoe's in love with?" Marinette asked as she pointed at herself in shock as well as everyone else.
"Yep. Zoe's been in love with you ever since you two met. Note that I said "person" when it comes to Zoe's crush, not "boy"," Angel pointed out in which everyone else nodded in understanding.
"Imagine if Chloe (in this future) heard that," Adrien then pointed out in which everyone else began to have that image in their heads and laughed hard in agreement (including Chloe herself).
"And think about it: if things worked out between you girls, Chloe could be your sister-in-law," Alya then pointed out to her best friend and the blonde girl who reacted with disgust much to everyone else's amusement.
Zoé: Thanks, Marinette. (they let go of their embrace) You're right! It's such a relief to get these things off your chest. You should try it, too!
Marinette: What do you mean?
Zoé: Adrien! What are you waiting for? Go tell him you love him!
Marinette: But— wait what? How is he going to react? And what am I going to say to him? What if I just do what I always do — mess things up and definitely ruin things between us?!
Zoé: Marinette... I've been wanting to tell you how I feel since the day I met you. But since you're madly in love with Adrien, I thought it would be pointless and ruin things between us. But look, I just told you, and I can see it doesn't change anything.
Marinette: Which changes everything for me…
Zoé: You were right: telling someone that you love them doesn't ruin anything. It's time you started taking your own advice, too. (Marinette becomes wide-eyed.) What are you waiting for? Go! (Marinette smiles and gives Zoé one last hug as she finally goes to Adrien to tell him how she really feels.)
Scene: Exterior, the Agreste mansion, outside the gate. Adrien is seen walking towards the entrance.
Marinette: Adrien! (runs and pants as she stops in front of him)
Adrien: What's going on, Marinette?
Marinette: I— My hair is a mess, I'm not wearing my princess dress, there's no music, no rose petals everywhere, and we're not on the Eiffel Tower. But even though this isn't at all how I'd imagined this magical moment would play out, it feels right. (Adrien is at a loss for words, leaving him wide-eyed as Marinette finally declares:) Adrien, I love you.
Adrien: This couldn't be any more magical, Marinette. (As the two delight in their "magical moment", the two lovebirds lean in for a kiss. But alas, the "wall" between them separates them once again.)
Gabriel: (emerges from the shadows in an illusion) Adrien... no. (Adrien stops midway their kiss as he opens his eyes. Marinette does the same.)
"What's wrong, dude?" Nino asked his best friend curiously along with everyone else about why Adrien stopped the attempted kiss on-screen. Adrien just responded with a shrug, confused as well.
Marinette: Is something wrong...?
Adrien: (slowly steps back) I don't know... I feel strange. Maybe you should go home.
Marinette: Oh... okay…
Adrien: I'm sorry. (Adrien proceeds to walk inside the courtyard, leaving Marinette by the gate. Marinette takes a glance at one of the mansion's windows, where she sees Gabriel lurking behind it. Gabriel is then seen fidgeting with his ring as he steps back into the shadows.)
"I never thought about this before because I thought they're two separate things, but do you guys ever notice that whenever Mr. Agreste fidgets with that ring, Adrien suddenly becomes submissive and obedient?" Marinette then said, finally noticing the pattern. After some deep thought, everyone else murmured loudly in agreement, seeing that too.
"Why is that? Why am I being under his control whenever he touches his ring?!" Adrien then asked in exasperation.
"You'll find that out when we get closer to the end. It's best to keep you all in suspense for now," Angel then said, which made the audience groan in annoyance, except for Master Fu.
Being obedient whenever that ring is touched, the ring that actually belonged to Adrien's mother, the woman who became ill through the effects of the damaged Peacock Miraculous. I think I know what's going on! But I shouldn't say anything until it's been confirmed! Master Fu then thought in his head, having an idea about what's happening to Adrien on-screen.
Scene: Interior, the Dupain-Cheng's residence, in Marinette's room. Marinette plops down her bed after the sudden events that happened between her and Adrien.
Marinette: The important thing is... that I told him how I feel. Right, Tikki?
Tikki: Of course, Marinette! You were very brave! You've finally told Adrien you love him! That's huge!
Marinette: Yes... yeah. (puts her fists by her chest, still dazed lying on her bed)
"OK, everyone, the next episode is called Emotion which refers to the Peacock Miraculous," Angel then announced the next episode to her audience.
"But, doesn't Felix have that Miraculous now?" Adrien then asked curiously as well as the audience who murmured in agreement.
"Yeah, Felix is the villain as the new Peacock holder in this episode. No Monarch nor akumas this time," Angel then explained as she played the episode, making the audience worry about what Felix is going to do (especially Adrien since it's his cousin).
