(Li Bing's pov)

In the morning, Li Bing woke up from his nightmare to see Dai Bo cooking breakfast for him, Li Bing and Xiao Fei. To his dismay, it radishes.

After Li Bing rescued Xiao Fei, both he and Dai Bo spent their day checking the little chicken demon in case he was injured or something but Xiao Fei kept saying that he was fine and that the two demon hunters were treating him nicely, the youngling angrily cheeping in indignation as he flailed his wings around. Dai Bo didn't believe him at first, as he had a terrible past with demon hunters (regarding his friend Da Fei). Li Bing silently contemplated about the scene he saw yesterday, about the two demon hunters who actually put a stance, ready to attack him.

A stance of protecting Xiao Fei.

While they sat and ate, Li Bing thought about how his life changed when he met the two chickens.

After being experimented on, the empress sent Li Bing to be imprisoned in the demon farm so nobody would find out about him. Demon Farm is a prison where demons are locked up. Worst, the demon farm is owned by a demon tamer who uses demons to pit them against each other to the death. The cat demon is introduced to his new jail mates, a trio of chicken demons, named Dai Bo, Da Fei and Xiao Fei. Weeks passed and they became close friends.

Da Fei aims to free himself and the other demons from being used to kill one another for human amusement. By doing so, he enlists himself to take part in the demon fights to set himself and Xiao Fei free. Dai Bo and Li Bing tried to dissuade Da Fei, thinking he had no chance to win, But Da Fei went anyway saying that if he didn't try he'd never know if he could do it. He entrusts Xiao Fei To Dai Bo and Li Bing.

Eventually, Da Fei enlists himself to be part of the demon fight to face off against the most powerful chicken demon there is, King Pheasant.

He goes up against King Pheasant in the timed match; he wins the match but King Pheasant, not wanting to be killed for his failure, takes an enhancing serum (a tonic he used to enhance his demon abilities) and brutally murders Da Fei In front of his friends. After the match, Li Bing and Dai Bo buried their fallen friend's corpse and later mourned for Da Fei's death. Dai Bo Takes his sunglasses and vows to avenge him.

Without telling each other (obviously), they somehow had a tacit agreement (derogatory self-acknowledgement) about their incompetence that led to yet another death.

Back to Li Bing though. Sadly, the death of that rightful chicken demon could've been prevented. Li Bing was sure of it. If only he trusted them more, a total 180-degree contrast to what happened to himself when the empress straight up eliminated his entire family, all because Li Bing and his older brother trusted her.

Dai Bo Tells Xiao Fei About his father's death and tells Xiao Fei that he will stay with him and Li Bing from now on. Later on, they planned a prison break.

Later, Dai Bo applies to be a fighter hoping he could defeat King Pheasant not to take him down but to make a statement towards the mistreatment of demons for human entertainment. He then fights King Pheasant and starts mocking him by using his middle finger to enrage King Pheasant. After a while, he traps Dai Bo and hits him so hard that everyone thinks that Dai Bo died in less than a minute.

Meanwhile, Li Bing watched the match between Dai Bo and King Pheasant and thought.

Is this the right thing to do? Helping them? Will his decision bring chaos to everyone again, just like last time? Like every single time?

He then looked at Xiao Fei and that's when he realised...

he wouldn't be able to stand it.

he wouldn't be able to stand looking at a child so young losing his everything in an instant, just like what happened to him back then.

he wouldn't be able to stand another "li Bing" in the making, not again.

You know what? Fuck it, he thought to himself.

and he zoomed in to save Dai Bo.

Li Bing showed up late (right when Dai Bo was about to faint) because he was still having an internal dispute. He and King Pheasant are about to have a fight when Suddenly Dai Bo stands up again and starts mocking King Pheasant again. Dai Bo lets himself get beaten up with the purpose of stealing the Enhancing serum from King Pheasant. After successfully stealing the Enhancing Serum, Dai Bo injects himself with it and transforms into his ultimate demon form. Li Bing watched in amazement as the chicken transformed.

After transforming, King Pheasant began to charge at Dai Bo. Dai Bo orders Li Bing to free the demons while he fights King Pheasant. King Pheasant attacks Dai Bo, hitting him right in the face but the attack does absolutely no damage, after realizing his attack did no damage, he gets angry and grows a new pair of wings and attacks Dai Bo with his fiery fists, however, Dai Bo stops the attack with just one hand. Dai Bo then starts attacking King Pheasant continuously until King Pheasant is finally on the ground. King Pheasant then laughs and tells Dai Bo that it doesn't matter how strong he is, there will always be a day in which demon fighters can't fight any more and as soon as that happens, they will kill him. After that, Dai Bo targets the demon tamer and threats to cut his throat if he doesn't release all the demons, even after releasing all the demons, Dai Bo tries to kill the Demon tamer until Xiao Fei stops him, who watching everything, he decides not to kill The demon tamer in front of Xiao Fei because he didn't want to ruin his childhood, after this, Dai Bo transformation ends and Demon tamer tries to kill him only to be punched by Li Bing knocking the demon tamer out.

They escape the farm and the news about the prison breakout spread like wildfire. The trio went into hiding because Li Bing told them that something would surely notify the empress immediately about it...

Li Bing felt indebted to the chickens and so he swore to protect them. And it's always good to have some companies, he thought.

After escaping the farm, the trio formed a chicken clan where they planned to stop the empress and save innocent demons once and for all.

The cat demon snapped out of his trance when Dai Bo told him the news that the leader of the cat clan, Meow Kitty, wanted a meeting with Li Bing. Dai Bo then gives Li Bing his medicine. The bottle is shaped like a fish.

"... why is this fish-shaped?"

Dai Bo, extremely smug and proud of his new product, proudly answered

"Because you're a cat, duh."
