Barry Allen AKA the Flash wasn't the only one who was affected by the particle accelerator. He and Star Labs find another speedster who has similar powers to Barry, yet he's a bit different. 18. Legends of Yesterday and Today

Hello everyone, here is chapter 18 of the Crimson Speedster. A strange visitor to Central City is after Cisco's girlfriend, Kendra Saunders. There's more to her and to the visitor then meets the eye and it puts Barry, Oliver, Naruto and the others in the path of an immortal, Vandal Savage. Their world is about to get stranger, but this team up will be the first of many in their future and they'll be adding in some new faces to that as well. Enjoy!

My name is Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze and I'm one of the fastest men alive. To the outside world, I'm CEO of STAR labs and an ordinary scientist but that's not the truth. Secretly with my powers I kept Central City safe and stopped rogue metahumans. I helped stop the Reverse-Flash but in the process, I was thrown into an alternate world where I explored the multiverse and faced a whole new kind of evil. With the help of new allies, I found my way back home and gained a greater understanding of my powers. Central City and the world will stay safe so long as I have anything to say about it. My name is Impulse, and this is my story.

Legends of Yesterday and Today

Central City Earth-2 December 2015

Central City of Earth-2 was still recovering from Zoom's reign of terror. He may be gone, and his defeat/death was public knowledge with the video being the highest viewed video in history but there was still a lot of work. The Central City Police were moving out in full force against the human controlled gangs who were warring against one another to fill in the void of power left behind by Zoom's death. Gangs and criminal organizations were fighting for territory, but the more concerning things were new metahumans eager to take the places of Killer Frost, Deathstorm, and Reverb as the cities more feared metahumans. Not Zoom as none of them could hold a candle to him. That didn't mean these idiots wouldn't try.

Case in point was a group of metahumans fighting the Central City Police after a bank robbery went wrong. Wrong in the sense that one of the metahumans got spooked when a subdued guard reached for a gun and killed him. The gang of four metahumans were now engaged in a firefight with the police. They were using heavy weapons including the new Icer guns Star Labs had given them but this gang of metahumans weren't going down easily as one of them seemed to be able to protect energy shields from her body which blocked all their bullets and projectiles. Not only did the shield block their bullets but it also physically pushed them back, so they were forced from the protective cover of their squad cars and tactical trucks. That left them open to attacks as they scrambled for cover and ran like crazy to avoid getting blasted, electrocuted or incinerated. The other three metahumans in the gang of four had range abilities with one blasting beams of blue concussive energy like contained shockwaves from his hands while his body seemed to vibrate, likely as a manner of protection from stray bullets. Another seemed to absorb and redirect electricity as she absorbed nearby power from electrical lines or lights and shoot arcs of electricity. The last one was odd as his head and fists appeared to be on fire but were glowing green instead of the typical red so perhaps a Deathstorm wannabe with similar powers. Whatever the case, they were causing severe problems for the police who scrambled for cover and those that did hunkered down in place or valiantly braved danger to rescue their compatriots who were injured.

One said police officer happened to be Detective Iris West and her partner Floyd Lawton. Detective West pulled a uniform officer behind cover and took his radio while her partner blindly fired from behind cover but missed every shot. "This is Detective West and I need backup immediately! We have four hostile metahumans and we're pinned down! Multiple wounded!"

No sooner than the second she let go of the radio button did a sudden gust of wind brush past them. All they heard were grunts and groans of pain before all the fighting ceased. Detective West picked her up to see all four metahumans unconscious and tied up together. "Uh…negative on the backup. Requesting prisoner pickup vehicle."

The blur of crimson and white lightning that was Impulse raced through the city before sliding to a stop in the park where he saw workers taking down the Jay Garrick statue and replacing it with one of Impulse. A kind of symbolic thank you the city did for Impulse exposing and stopping Zoom and revealing the Jay Garrick lie. And after being relegated as a sidekick on Earth-1, it was nice that Central City of Earth-2 heralded him as its hero.

"Four metahuman bank robbers taken care of. What's next?" Impulse asked, speaking into the communications system in his suit.

Over at Earth-2's STAR labs, Minato, Kushina, Wells, Jesse, and Mito were sitting in their version of the cortex. Well, they made their own version of the cortex as their STAR labs didn't really have one, so they just repurposed the old lab they used when Naruto was testing his multiversal travel. Their Cosmic Treadmill was off to the side while large computer monitors were set up to monitor and relay everything going on in Central City.

"We've got reports of two metahumans attacking the city's power relay station." Minato reported.

"I'm on it." Impulse took off running with his cowl's HUD giving him directions.

Jesse was sitting in the cortex at the computer keeping watch of things in the city via a computer screen, but it was halved so Mito could watch TV. The adults weren't really worried about what was going on as with Zoom gone there weren't any serious threats that couldn't be handled. A blinking on the screen caught her attention so she checked. It was a police alert of a high-speed chase occurring between the CCPD and some robbers. "Dad, CCPD's got a high-speed chase on Route 980. Four cars."

Wells checked the monitor to confirm and get the latest location. "Did you guys get that? Heading north on Route 980 past Exit-A." Wells said into the communication system.

"Barry, that's all you." Naruto told him.

"On it." Barry replied, racing through the city. He had joined Impulse in helping out Wells and the others on Earth-2. "Where is Route 980?"

"Head northeast. It's the massive overpass by the train tracks. You can't miss it." Jesse spoke into the microphone.

"I see it." The Flash raced up onto the overpass that was Route 980 and passed cars as he made his way up to the high-speed chase between the robbers and the CCPD. Six CCPD cruisers were chasing three cars in a protective formation surrounding a large van which had their haul they stole from a science lab. It must have been important and worth a lot as the robbers were doing everything to keep the police back. Men were leaning out of the car windows and unloaded hundreds of bullets at the police cars which swerved as much as they could to avoid presenting an easier target while officers shot back. "I got them."

Flash super sped forward and raced around all the four cars belonging to the robbers. The brightness of his lightning caused them to shield their eyes which made them incapable of seeing what was happening. All of a sudden, their vehicles began skidding on the ground before they stopped on the highway. The drivers tried to get their cars to move but the engines were dead and one of the robbers peaked out of the car to see their tires were gone.

"CCPD, get out of the car! Drop your weapons, get out of the car with your hands up!" An officer shouted as the CCPD got out of their cars and surrounded the vehicles with their guns ready. The robbers were about to make a break for it when they realized all the magazines for their guns were missing. One of the robbers looked around and saw them piled up outside which the police were securing so with no hope on escaping and not wanting to die the robbers began to step out of their cars with their hands raised.

Flash smirked as he ran away from the scene. "All right, police chase done."

"Nice." Impulse replied as he raced towards the power relay station where he saw two metahumans wreaking havoc. A man and woman duo with the man appearing to have size changing powers as he had grown to a height of 25 feet while the woman could fire blue energy bolts from her hands. They saw him coming so the woman fired two blue energy bolts from her hands, but Impulse dodged them with ease and kept running straight. She fired another one and Impulse jumped into the air to dodge but turned into a corkscrew spin, hitting her in the stomach with a corkscrew spin dropkick. In Flashtime, Impulse could see the pain on the woman's face as she was knocked back and slammed into a fence. She fell to the ground as her partner tried to squish Impulse but was too slow. Impulse raced around him for a bit before jumping into the air and spinning around like a top making a tornado. He landed in the classic superhero pose, dropped to one knee with his fist on the ground as the tornado pushed forward combining with his lightning to make a lightning tornado. It was still small but quickly enveloped the size changing meta and expanded.

"ARGH!"

The meta roared in pain as the wind from the tornado lifted him up into the air while the lightning zapped him until he passed out. A few seconds later the tornado dissipated, and his body dropped to the ground.

"Whoa…" The Flash slid to a stop next to him. "How did you do that?"

"That took some time to get the hang of including not throwing up from the spinning, but the key is using your lightning to sort of guide the air." Impulse answered before tapping his ear comm piece. "Anything else?"

"All the major metahumans are dealt with and now in CCPD custody. All that's left is the regular human stuff." Wells replied.

"All right, let's finish this up and get something to eat." Impulse said and the Flash nodded before they took off running in opposite directions. With the two of them they could handle all the crime going on as it was just regular humans now. After an hour, all the crime was dealt with, and because they wanted to keep up with some training, they moved out to some neighboring cities and towns. Since Central City was the only place that housed metahumans they just had to deal with the run of the mill human criminals, which was a piece of cake. Smugglers, robbers, murderers, crime families, etc. none of them were a problem. They got their food and helped Wells and Naruto's Parents doppelgangers with the goings on of STAR labs. There was still some work to be done but things were getting better on Earth-2. Without the looming threat of Zoom everyone could begin rebuilding their lives and with the extrapolator Naruto built they could visit whenever they wanted. They would have stayed longer but Gideon informed them that they were needed back on Earth-1. A friend needed their help.

Star City, USA Earth-1 December 2015

Said friend wasn't actually Oliver Queen but rather Mari McCabe, the budding fashion designer turned superhero/vigilante after an encounter with a special totem. That then resulted into Mari learning of her adoption, her birth circumstances and then meeting her older sister Kuasa who then tried to kill her and take the totem from her. She learned that it was the Anansi spirit totem, a mystical object that allows the user to tap into the life force of animals and harness their abilities and traits. Months ago, Barry and Oliver went to Detroit to find her, thinking she was a metahuman, but it was the totem that gave her abilities. Once she succeeded over her sister, Mari returned to Detroit and used the totem to protect her city and the people as the hero Vixen. She's had some missteps and hurdles to overcome but she did and she's getting the hang of the hero job.

Recently though she's encountered someone that she needs help to deal with which came in the form of Benatu Eshu, Zambesi ambassador but former warlord general who raided the village Mari came from in order to get the spirit totem. He had shown up in Detroit and hired a thief to steal the fire totem recently found in an academic expedition. Mari tried to stop him, but his totem was too powerful which led Mari to go talk to Professor Macalester despite the bad history as he had the most knowledge on the totems. He then led her to her sister Kuasa recovering in an African Hospital and received the information on Eshu. She said that in order to defeat Eshu they needed other totems and knew that the water totem was in Star City in a mansion belonging to some rich dude. Not surprisingly, Kuasa double-crossed her and took the water totem, so Mari gave chase.

Kuasa ran down the street in Star City and Vixen was right behind her, running as fast as cheetah she was going to catch up, but Kuasa created a giant wave of water that washed over her. Vixen kept going using the totem to swim like a crocodile and she continued. Kuasa kept her sister back when she was suddenly picked up by a man in a metal suit with his arms wrapped around her in a bearhug. "Hey, there. I'm the Atom. Uh, but you can call me plan B. Turns out your sister doesn't trust you as much as you thought."

"Better hold on tight, she's slippery." Vixen warned him and Kuasa did release a torrent of water around her.

"Come on! All this bleeding edge tech and you don't think I'd make it waterproof?" The Atom quipped as Kuasa kept trying. She didn't destroy his suit, but she did manage to push enough space for her to slip from his grip. She dropped to the street and readied a blast of water in her hands, but she quickly surrounded her body with it like a shield from a sonic cry. Black Canary marched forward as her canary cry's shockwaves rippled against the water shield which protected Kuasa and also muffled the ear-piercing sound. She kept the water shield up against Black Canary's canary cry when Impulse sped forward and threw a lightning bolt. The water conducted the electricity and zapped Kuasa, coursing through her body caused her to drop to the ground and the water to do the same.

Impulse slid to a stop next to Black Canary and vibrated his hand, making some lightning flicker. "I'd give up now unless you want another shock. Water is an excellent conductor of electricity." He warned her as Atom dropped to the ground next to them and Vixen walked up.

"Thanks for the backup. Atom, Black Canary, and Impulse, right?"

"Happy to help. Green Arrow would've come too but he's a bit tied up. Running for Mayor." Black Canary whispered to Vixen.

"Very long story." Atom added.

"A bank robbery in Central City came up. Flash sends his regards." Impulse told her. "Nice to finally meet you, Vixen."

"You too, Impulse. Nice suit." She said.

"Thanks."

"Looks like you've won again, little sister. So now what?" Kuasa questioned.

"Now you help us, like you promised." Vixen told her. "Eshu killed our father and destroyed our home. You want revenge? Well, I do too. Even if I have to work with you. You have the water totem which means we need your help to stop him."

"You will all fight him?" Kuasa asked and got nods from Atom, Black Canary, and Impulse.

"And we'll win. Together." Vixen promised when her ear comm went off.

"Hey, guys. I hate to break up the family reunion, but we've got a problem." Felicity told him so Impulse checked and activated his holographic forearm computer. It projected breaking news footage from Detroit, and they could see people running in fear against various raging fires. "Your fire guy's in Detroit and he's kind of doing a rampage-y thing."

"Oh, that's not good." Atom said so Vixen held out her hand to her sister.

"Avenge your village. Save mine." She said and Kuasa took her hand and got back to her feet, holding her sisters hand. Despite their less than normal relationship and past intentions they would fight together. "How fast can we get to Detroit?"

"Don't worry…" Impulse tapped his forearm computer, and they heard the roar of jet engines nearby. Looking up they saw the faint outline of something moving through the air before it shimmered into view revealing a STAR labs quinjet that had been modified with retro-reflective panels for a stealth mode. "I've got that handled."

"Wow…" Vixen muttered. "Where did you get that?"

"That is kind of a secret, but I've got some resources." Impulse answered as the quinjet touched down and the back ramp opened up. "Let's go. We'll be there in half an hour."

Detroit

And to his word they arrived in Detroit in half an hour, give or take a few minutes. Impulse was piloting the quinjet and saw the city in the distance. "Guys, you should take a look at this." He said so Vixen, Atom, and Black Canary joined him up front in the cockpit to see what was going on.

Things were not looking good as half the city seemed to be on fire. An emergency broadcast came up on the dashboard so Impulse brought it up and it appeared to be a handheld phone video of the man with the fire totem. "Hello people of Detroit. My name is Benatu Eshu. As of this message, I am no longer a representative of the Zambesi government. Pain and destruction and fire are about to rain down on your fair city. For this, I apologize. But one woman has it within her power to stop this apocalypse. She knows what she possesses, and she knows that I want it. And when it is mine, the death will end. I promise you all that."

"Well, glad to see the guy is crazy." Atom remarked.

Vixen felt her phone vibrate and saw it was from Dr. Macalester. "Now is not a good time."

"I found a song in the archives. It says each totem has a center, it's ore. It's like a soul. It says here if you crush the soul, the totem will lose its power."

"Ok, I'll just ask Eshu if I can borrow his totem for a minute." Vixen remarked.

"If anyone can do this, it's you. You were meant for this battle, Mari. Equal forces, different elements."

"Guys." Black Canary pointed at the roof of a building which exploded.

"I think your fiery adversary is trying to get your attention." Atom said.

"Well, he's got it." Vixen remarked as Impulse checked the scanners on the Quinjet. It was tracking Benatu and closing in on the greatest heat signature in the city which had to be him.

"Ok, the scanners have zeroed in on Benatu. The Quinjet's autopilot will take you guys right to him." Impulse told them, turning on the Quinjet's autopilot and getting out of the pilot seat.

"You sound like you're not coming with us." Vixen said.

"I'll catch up after I deal with all the fires." He answered and the others nodded. Impulse walked over to the back of the Quinjet and pressed a button to open up the ramp before jumping out.

"Wait, can he fly?" Atom, Black Canary, and Vixen rushed over to see Impulse flying through the air by spinning his arms at super speed to make wind funnels. "Oh, he can fly."

Impulse moved his arms which in turn moved the wind funnels and steered himself to a building. When he got close enough, he stopped his wind funnels which dropped him and the second his feet touched the side of the building he ran down the side of the building and took off into the city. He raced down the street and quickly circled around a spot where a pile of burning cars were and after a few seconds the flames had been extinguished due to the oxygen getting sucked out. Impulse raced up the side of a building where a floor was on fire, and he quickly evacuated the floors around the fire before snuffing out the inferno with ease. One by one, the fires that plagued the city of Detroit were being snuffed out quickly which was a good thing as it saved the people from death at the hands of a crazed maniac.

Said crazed maniac, Benatu Eshu looked down at the city from his perch on the roof of a building to see a crimson and white lightning blur race around the city and extinguish all the fires. The fire totem around his neck glowed red as he willed fire into creation from his hands and readied to burn more of the city in order to draw out his prize. He reared his arms back when he heard movement coming from behind, so he quickly made a fire shield to block the compressed light beams from the Atom. He flew over and kept him occupied when Benatu heard loud, thunderous stomps. Vixen then charged forward with the ethereal form of a Rhino around her as she tackled him off the roof of the building. They both fell to the ground, but the Atom flew by and grabbed Vixen forcing Benatu to conjure two blasts of fire to slow his descent to the ground like a rocket. He landed safely on the ground but quickly raised his arms to defend himself from the vicious attacks by Black Canary. She used her tonfa stick and wailed on him with quick strikes, punches, and kicks before she rolled and cartwheeled to the side for distance when the Atom flew by and blasted him with his compressed light beams. Benatu made a wall of fire forcing Atom back when a speeding blur raced by and punched him across the face. Vixen leapt forward with the ethereal figure of a kangaroo surrounding her and dropkicked him in the stomach.

He skidded back on the concrete holding his stomach in pain before throwing his right hand out and unleashing a giant funnel of fire at Vixen which is when Impulse raced in front of her and spun both his arms. His wind funnels clashed with the fire funnel and the two fought for dominance before they dispersed one another.

Benatu glared at them all with soul-searing hatred combined with some clear sociopathy. "As you burn, try to remember that I wanted to handle this as human beings."

"Yeah, something tells me that a psychopathic warlord like you isn't exactly an expert on the field." Impulse remarked before he raced forward. Benatu punched the ground making a giant fire wall burst up from the ground. It encircled Benatu and surrounded him like a shield with heat so intense that part of the ground began to melt. Vixen and the others had to keep back from the heat while Impulse race around him, attempting to snuff out the fire wall inferno by running around it and creating a vacuum. Under normal circumstances he was running more than fast enough to create a vacuum to suck up all the air which it was doing so the fire wavered and faltered a bit but given the magical aspects of the totem, so long as Benatu was wielding it the fire wasn't going away. The heat began to get more intense and forced Impulse to slowly get some distance and expand his perimeter. "Guys, feel free to jump in any time now!"

Benatu let out a mighty roar and the fire tornado bulged out suddenly which knocked Impulse away causing him to crash into Atom and Black Canary. The only reason he wasn't burnt to a crisp was because his suit protected him. "You cannot stop me. Nothing can hurt fire and your friends cannot stop me!"

"Then how about a sister?!" Vixen shouted as Kuasa unleashed a torrent of water at him.

"For what you did to my village, my family, I will see you drown!" Kuasa sent geyser after geyser at Benatu which extinguished his fire tornado to just a fire shield.

"Keep hitting him Kuasa!" Vixen ran forward, touching her totem to summon the spirit of an antelope and leapt forward. She kicked Benatu in the chest before flipping away as he lashed out at her which gave Kuasa the chance to push him back. Kuasa summoned more water and trapped Benatu in a giant bubble of it, seemingly wanting to suffocate him but the fire on his hands and feet wouldn't extinguish. Through sheer determination and grit, Benatu willed more fire from the totem until he extinguished his watery prison. The force sent Kuasa skidding back but she quickly gathered water into her hands and sent it all at him. Benatu did the same with his fire and the two opposing forces of nature clashed but the fire was winning over the water. Kuasa skid back bit by bit as the force of the fire pushed back her water until just a field of water around her body remained. "Kuasa, run! Get back!"

"No! I am not our mother!" Kuasa summoned more water and pushed the fire back a bit. "I will not run from this fight."

Benatu clapped his hands together, making a giant fire beam which burst through Kuasa's water shield and enveloped her body. "NO!" Vixen shouted as she saw Kuasa get incinerated until there was nothing left, not even the water totem.

Benatu chuckled as his eyes glowed a fire red. "Water cannot defeat fire. Nor can your spirit. And I will break your spirit, I promise. And then I will do that which I should have done to your mother. I will kill you."

"RAH!" Vixen charged in a mad fury summoning the spirit of an elephant and closed the distance. She threw out a punch that he blocked with his forearms fortified with fire, but the impact sent him flying back. He summoned fire to his feet and used it to fly through the air. Vixen chased after him summoning the spirit of a cheetah. Benatu led Vixen away to a narrow alley where he summoned large rings of fire.

"You can't stop me. You're weak. Pathetic. Not worthy of the totem around your neck. You know it in your bones that you're not fit to wield the totem. You can fight and fight and fight, but you know there is no hope." He told her.

"You're right. But I don't need hope. I don't need faith. I don't need magic. I just need to beat you." Vixen touched the totem and summoned the spirit of the jaguar before charging. Benatu lashed out with whips of fire, but she jumped around the sides of the building before coming down with an axe kick so powerful she cracked the ground. Benatu swiped at her, but she rolled forward and then backflipped to avoid a fire blast, summoning the spirit of the falcon and came down with a flying kick to his face. He blocked it and unleashed a torrent of fire but the ethereal aura from the totem protected her as the two began to fight in the sky.

Impulse, Atom, and Black Canary were watching from the ground as Benatu and Vixen clashed. Impulse checked his forearm computer and a map of the area showed Anchor Bay nearby. "Guys, I think I know how we can help Vixen." He said and began to explain his plan.

Benatu shot a powerful fire blast at Vixen who knocked it aside and ripped off a piece of a concrete archway before throwing it at him. He punched it with a fire-infused fist, smashing it to pieces but Vixen tackled him after, punching him in the face. He pushed her off and summoned fire into his left hand when he was blasted from the side and tumbled through the air. Vixen saw Atom hover down next to her. "Push him towards the bay." Atom told her and she nodded.

The Atom flew at Benatu and fired a few more compressed light beam bursts which Benatu blocked or countered with his own fire blasts. He fired a burst at the Atom who suddenly shrunk in size, avoiding the fire but closed in and punched Benatu across the face at mini-size. Despite shrinking, the Atom still struck with the same force as he would at regular size. After his hit Vixen hit him with a double heel kick to the stomach which sent him careening down to the ground. He crashed down into a park near the bay and wobbled to his feet when Black Canary let loose her canary cry. He covered his ears to muffle the noise and ease the pain, but it did little if anything. What it did do was leave him open to attack. Impulse raced forward and punched him in the chest sending him crashing onto the docks. Vixen flew down and summoned the spirit of the Hippo, crashing down on top of him and taking him into the water.

Benatu struggled, holding her back but she summoned the spirit of the octopus to wiggle out of his grasp, take the fire totem, kick him in the stomach and swim to the surface. She swam to the broken docks where Impulse, Black Canary, and Atom were waiting. "Did you get it?" Impulse asked and she held it up. He grabbed her hand to help her up when Benatu broke through the surface of the water, grabbed her, and pulled her back down. "VIXEN!"

Benatu held onto her, but she summoned the spirit of an electric eel and zapped him before using the spirit of a crocodile to break his left arm with a death roll. Then with a final spinning hook kick she hit him across the face knocking him out. He sank to the bottom, and she made it back to the surface. Impulse and Black Canary helped her out of the water and onto dry land before they looked at the fire totem in her hand. "What do we do about this thing?" She asked which is when Impulse super sped away and returned with an old book. "Did you steal that?"

"From Dr. Macalester after I punched him in the face. Felt like he deserved it." He answered as he skimmed through the book at super speed.

"He does. Anything?" She asked.

"You have to smash it." He answered.

"Really? That's your advice." She remarked as Impulse turned to a certain passage in the book.

"It says here that each totem has a spirit, a soul, which fuels its power and its connection to its user. The soul will go back to the gods when broken by someone with great akbara, but it has to be by another totem user." Impulse read off. "So, smash it."

Vixen summoned the spirit of the elephant and gave the totem a powerful stomp, but it was fine. "Try again." Black Canary told her.

"And maybe do it with more animals." Atom suggested so Vixen took a deep breath as her totem began to glow. The spirits of the most powerful animals in the animal kingdom came together as Impulse, Black Canary, and Atom could see their shadows grow on the ground around Vixen and hear their cries/roars. An elephant, gorilla, ape, tiger, lion, rhino, hippo, bear, etc.

"RAHH!" Vixen stomped on the totem with enough force that the ground shook. Nearby car alarms went off as a result and when she picked up her foot from the small divot she made, the fire totem was smashed into pieces. "By the way, what does akbara mean? Is that the place from Aladdin?"

"It means strength. The strength only a totem user could produce." Impulse answered and Vixen smiled. "Nicely done."

"Thanks, thank you to all three of you. I couldn't have done it without you." She said to them.

"No problem but you didn't need our help. Well, that's not to say that we weren't happy to help but also not to diminish the pivotal role you played in all this and how personal this was to you. Not that it's any of our business which it's not…" Atom continued to ramble on so Impulse elbowed him in the side to get him to stop. "Thank you."

"What I think Atom was trying to say is you're welcome and don't worry about it. We were more than happy to help." Black Canary said to Vixen.

"To be honest, I've been doing this hero thing on my own it was kind of nice to have some help." Vixen admitted. "I had no idea there were so many of us out there. At first, it was just the Arrow and Flash and now there are you three."

"And it's not just us three. There are more of us out there and we're better when we stick together. You ever need a hand or just to talk then you can reach out to us." Impulse told her and Vixen nodded when they heard the distant siren wails of firetrucks and police cruisers. "There's also an added benefit of being friends with a speedster."

"What's that?" Vixen asked and a brush of air hit her and the others in the face. Impulse super sped away to go fix all the damage done by Benatu Eshu and his psychotic fire totem rampage. He had already put out all the fires he had caused so now he was fixing all the damage. Burnt fixtures, damaged home elements, and even structural components were removed and quickly replaced. Apartments along with offices in corporate buildings were burnt up but now looked completely fine and furnished fresh like no damage had even happened. Reconstructive work that would have taken weeks was finished in a matter of minutes as Impulse did it all at super speed with the only thing taking up time was him racing to nearby hardware stores or construction sites for materials. Those that were worried about the damage to their homes and how much this would affect them, especially during the holidays, now had nothing to worry about.

Impulse slid to a stop near the others and patted his hands clean of dust, smoke, smudge, and oil. "Cleanups go a lot quicker with us around."

"I'll say. You just did weeks of work in a matter of minutes." Vixen remarked. "Thanks."

"Happy to do it." Impulse said as he looked at the remnants of the fire totem. "So, what are you gonna do with that?"

"Well, the museum can have it back though they're not gonna be happy about it." Vixen remarked.

"Well, considering how it was being used by a psychotic warlord, I think they won't look a gift horse in the mouth." Atom remarked and everyone agreed.

And he was right. The museum wasn't exactly thrilled that the totem was destroyed but it was back. In pieces but back, nonetheless. Benatu's body was pulled out of the bay by police. By a miracle he wasn't dead but without the fire totem he was nothing as the police easily took him into custody and since he renounced his political position he was screwed. Even if he did have that political protection, it wouldn't do him any good as he was arrested and going to be tried for terrorism, so he was done, and Mari got justice for her family including her sister.

All in all, a good day and it wouldn't be the last they'd see of Vixen.

Central City

The cold chill of December brought with it the holiday season which meant crazy shopping, travel, and the all-around headaches that came with the end of the year. The holidays were a magical time, no doubt about that but they also came with some headaches, some more than others. Thankfully, many of them were getting help as Naruto had donated millions of his own money to foodbanks, homeless shelters, and various charities which helped families that struggled during the holidays. He didn't need the money and he still had more than he knew what to do with so why not do something good with it. And it wasn't one of those clearly staged donations where he got a ton of press for it. It was all anonymous, so people were calling it a miracle. Not a miracle but a random act of kindness. STAR labs was finishing the end of the year in very good standing and there wasn't much work to be done as Naruto had sent in all the patents that needed to be filed along with all the relevant paperwork to the branches/departments they needed to go to along with assigning some very nice Holiday bonuses. Now, all he had to do was enjoy the holidays and part of that was to do what he did best, helping others and taking some time for himself after the craziness of his year.

Naruto was in the penthouse he and Linda shared finishing up some decorating, putting the place into a Christmassy feel. A tree, decorations, and lights which included a festive little snuggle spot for Kurama near the fireplace which resembled a gingerbread house. Said fox was lounging on a plush Santa cushion with a cute little Santa hat on his head while Naruto finished up with the decorations. The tree and its decorations were up so now he was just finishing up the general touches around the house. Christmas Wreaths, garland strewn on the stairway railings, lights up on the ceiling and on the walls, Christmas pillows on the couch, and stockings near the fireplace. He took a sip of a hot toddy as he hung up another string of lights. It was the holiday season, and he wanted a drink so why not go festive. He made sure to use cheap whiskey for the hot toddy.

He put away the empty boxes when he heard the front door unlock and in walked Linda. She had a late day at CCPN, finishing up all the stories she had set on the back burner, but was working through them. After this week of working, she'd be set for the holidays and had already set aside her remaining vacation days which included the days she and Naruto would go see her parents in Coast City. She had called them, saying that she and Naruto were going to visit for New Years. Her parents were happy that Linda's mood was better and kept it cordial on the phone, but she could tell by the tones of their voices that they had some things they were too polite to say on the phone. As far as they knew, Naruto seemed to disappear for 8 months, and Linda was distraught then he suddenly reappeared on TV being the face of a billion-dollar tech company and they got back together. Suffice it to say that they would have a lot to learn during the visit.

Linda put her jacket and scarf up on the coat rack before putting her bag and keys on the counter when she saw Kurama come over. The second she saw the cute little Santa hat on his head her heart just melted. "Oh my god this is too cute." She scratched Kurama on the head and under his chin before taking a few quick photos with the STAR labs smart watch. "Where did he get you a little hat?"

"Pet store." Naruto answered, moving the empty boxes to the closet. "Granted it's not a fox hat but a dog one. They have a lot of Christmas outfits for dogs."

"You didn't buy them all, did you?" She wondered.

"No, just the hat, some booties, and sweater." Naruto walked over and scratched Kurama on the head. "It's getting cold out and his fur will only keep him warm for so long."

"Well, I hope it's a cute sweater." Linda kissed Kurama on the head before she gave Naruto a kiss. "How was your day?"

"Good. Emailed all the paperwork to the lawyers so it's up to them now, made a few calls, worked on some stuff in the lab, and then did a quick patrol. Nothing is going on in Central City. Maybe the criminals are taking it easy for the holidays. Caitlin and Ronnie called and sent some pictures." Naruto pressed a button on his smart watch to show the pictures they sent from Tahiti. Walking on the beach, lounging on beach chairs with fancy umbrella drinks in their hands, snorkeling with fish, enjoying their rides on speedboats, riding jet skis together and having amazing dinners at incredible restaurants around the resort. The pictures told them all they needed to know, and they were glad the two were enjoying themselves. After being separated for so long, especially with their wedding happening the day of the singularity their honeymoon was long overdue.

"It looks amazing." She said.

"True which is why whenever you want to take a vacation there, I'll make it happen." He promised and she smiled before giving him a kiss.

"Oh, it seems like someone is happy to see me." Linda remarked being not so subtle in her innuendo.

"Believe me I am but that's actually not me. That's your present." He pulled out a long box from his pocket and gave it to her. "Hope you like it."

She smiled and opened it to see a beautiful silver star necklace on a small chain which was beautiful but with it were keys. "I love it." She smiled as Naruto took the necklace and she turned around so he could put it on.

"A star for my north star." He said affectionately before kissing her on the cheek and holding her close. "Sorry if it's a little on the nose."

"I love it." She kissed him on the head before looking at the keys in the box. "Did you get a car?"

"Yeah, a new one. Mercedes. I don't really need one considering my super speed but I've got to keep up appearances to the public on how I get places so we can use that. And you are more than welcome to use it to get to work. Beats the Toyota Corolla you've been driving around in for years which can finally be retired." He said and she smiled. "Respectfully, of course. I know that car's been with you for a while."

"Got me all the way through college and up to meeting you. She's been through a lot." Linda curled his fingers around the key before giving Naruto a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." He gave her a quick kiss. "Hope you're hungry because I've got dinner for you."

"It smells delicious." Linda praised and the two plus Kurama sat down for some domestic bliss. Naruto's parents were still on Earth-2 helping Wells and Jesse with stuff at STAR labs, but they'd be back soon. Unbeknownst to them, one of the greatest madmen the world has ever known had arrived in Central City.

A cargo ship had arrived in Central City, docking at the harbor where a harbor officer was waiting. The captain and ship hands disembarked with a man in handcuffs. The man was wearing a red vest and shirt with black pants, had long black hair that was combed back and a thick black beard. He also had a blue trench coat, but the captain had that on his person as he walked over to the officer.

"Welcome home." The officer greeted the captain with a smile as he was handed the ship's manifest and papers. "Any trouble?"

"Nah but believe it or not, we got ourselves a stowaway." The captain told him as his men pushed the stowaway off the ship and onto the docks.

"He give you his name?"

"Didn't say. Sat in the brig silent for three weeks. He was all decked out in this when we found him." The Captain handed him the blue trench coat and inside he saw dozens of knives or similar weapons.

"Jeez, how many are there?"

"32. And I'll polish them all in blood before long." The man said as the captain walked over. "I've waited a long time for this hunt, and you have brought me very close to my prey. Thank you."

"Mister, you're not going to do any hunting in those handcuffs." The Captain told him.

"Oh, but captain, you're wearing the cuffs." The man said, lifting his hands up to show he was free while said handcuffs were on the captain's wrists. The man broke free of the ship hands and kicked them all before shoving the captain aside and walking over to the officer.

"Who taught you that—Houdini?" The officer raised his pistol and clicked the safety off.

"Actually, I taught him." The man quipped, quickly sidestepping a gunshot from the officer's pistol which ended up killing one of the ship hands. He closed the distance to the officer, punched him in the throat, turned the pistol around to shoot the officer three times in the chest before twisting the man's neck with little effort. He pushed the officer's body to the ground and tossed the pistol into the water. "I never did favor guns."

The man picked up his coat and put it back on before drawing a dagger which he quickly threw into the chest of one of the three remaining ship hands. He closed the distance with incredible speed and ripped the dagger out before slashing the throat of the second ship hand and finished off the third with a stab to the heart. All of that took little effort as the man flipped his dagger around and walked over to the captain. One stab to the heart and he was dead. The man looked out at Central City and took a deep breath like he was feeling something. "Soon another sacrifice will be made. I feel you out there and your friends cannot stop me."

The next day…

Naruto was in his personal laboratory in STAR labs working on the various gadgets and new suits for his growing list of allies. He was just about finished with the stuff for Oliver and the others and was now working on some stuff for Bruce. It was evening and nearing dinner, so Naruto was going to pack it in for the evening when his smart watch let out two beeps signifying it was an alert. He brought up the alert which was coming from the CCPD and Iron Heights. He checked the security cameras and saw there was a prison riot and breakout attempt. The power was cut to the non-metahuman section, so the prisoners were rioting, overpowering the guards and attempting an escape. The Metahuman section had redundant power systems so while the main one was disabled the backups came on seamlessly to prevent any systems from failing but according to the data the power dampeners were being shut down on purpose. Something was wrong.

"Crap." Naruto's suit quickly formed from his watch and Flash Ring, and he took running out of STAR labs before sending a communique to Barry. "Barry, did you get the alert?"

"I did. I'm on my way."

"Head to the metahuman section first. We've got to stop them leaving." Naruto told him.

"On it."

The two speedsters raced through the city from different directions but were heading to the same destination of Iron Heights. The metahuman section of the prison was specially modified, refurbished, and reinforced with some special equipment from STAR labs. Enhanced motion sensors, surveillance systems, with multiple failsafe measures like security doors and gates that would close should they escape their cells which had their bars electrified. Even if they did escape their cells which had power dampeners built into them then each of the meta prisoners had a power dampening cuff on one of their wrists so suffice to say that there were plenty of redundancies to keep a prison break attempt from occurring.

Kyle Nimbus, Mark Mardon, Roy Bivolo, Shawna Baez, Jake Simmons, and Neal Emmerson also known as The Mist, Weather Wizard, Rainbow Raider, Peak-a-Boo, Deathbolt, and Dr. Polaris were enjoying a run of the mill day in their prison cells when they heard alarms going off in the distance followed by raucous screams and jeers of chaos and revelry that those familiar with their current situation were able to deduce as a prison riot. Many hoped that the power dampeners in their cells would shut off and their cell doors unlock but that didn't seem to be the case. That was until they heard the sound of nearby gunfire.

Over in the security room that monitored the metahuman wing three security guards rushed into the room pulling in their supervisor and chief guard with them before locking the door shut. They took up positions behind whatever cover they could find while their Icers or regular guns were trained on the door. With the prison riot, backup would soon be coming from the CCPD or they hoped for the Flash but right now they had more pressing issues if the gunfire and screams of anguish from the hallway were any indicator. They had no idea what happened. One moment things were fine then power was cut to the prison, so the prisoners were running amok but the metahuman section had secondary backup power systems. They were fine and the metahuman section went on lockdown when the main power was shut off but then some mystery man appeared. The guards tried to stop him, but he slaughtered them with various knives before making his way to the security room. The man definitely wasn't normal as one of the guards saw him getting riddled with bullets from an assault rifle but was completely fine and then sliced open the guard who shot him. They had no idea what he wanted but soon heard the fighting outside the door stop which got them worried.

The guards weren't idiots so they waited in their positions as it could be their mystery assailant at the door so they would just sit tight until backup arrived. Only in this case their mystery assailant had other plans and unique abilities besides the fact that he couldn't die. A loud clang was heard and made a sizeable fist-sized dent into several inches of a steel-titanium alloy. A secondary hit made another dent before a final one punched through the hinges on the door and it swung open. The guards opened fire with their weapons as a smoke grenade was thrown into the control room. The thick cloud of smoke made it impossible to see what was going on except for the flashes of lights coming from their guns which illuminated a mystery figure slicing through the guards in quick success. Once they were all dead, said figure grabbed the head of the deceased security chief and brought him over to the control console. He retrieved a command key from the security chief and inserted it into the control console before putting in a similar one he took from the warden who he had paid a visit to prior to starting everything. Both keys were turned to the right and a panel in the control console opened up revealing the control buttons for the power dampeners all glowing green indicating they were on. He quickly flicked them all off one by one before leaving the security room.

Mark Mardon was in his cell playing with a baseball which he bounced off a wall when he saw the power dampener in the ceiling shut off and shortly after that the power dampening cuff on his wrist shut down and disengaged. He removed it and quickly stood up, walking over to his cell before using his powers to summon a giant ball of ice. He hurled it at the lock and broke his cell door open just in time to see the other metas get out in their own special ways. Deathbolt blasted his cell doors open with his plasma eye beams, Dr. Polaris crushed the cell bars with his magnetic manipulation, the Mist just passed through the cells and Peak-a-Boo teleported out. All the metas looked at one another and came to the same consensus.

"Oh…this…" Mark Mardon's hands began to spark with electricity and the wind kicked up around him. "…this is gonna be fun."

A squad of heavily armored riot prison guards marched in formation towards the Metahuman wing of the prison armed with riot gear, reinforced riot shields with police batons and new STAR labs suppression weaponry which included Icer pistols and shotguns, taser batons, tear gas/smoke gas launchers, and STAR labs boot launchers. They marched to the metahuman wing when the weather suddenly turned chaotic as tornado-like wind and blizzard-like snow came out of nowhere. A sudden gust of wind sent the security guards flying through the air as the doors opened and out came Weather Wizard, The Mist, Rainbow Raider, Peak-a-Boo, Deathbolt, and Dr. Polaris emerged.

"Let it snow!" Weather Wizard said in joyous yet evil glee before he quickly took off into the air via wind funnels and made his escape.

"I'm out of here." Peak-a-Boo had the same idea and she quickly teleported away. Rainbow Raider was of the same mind, quickly running to the side to find a way out when a speeding red blur ran by and sent him flying into a fence. He was knocked out cold and the supervillains knew who had arrived.

"You're dead, Flash! You're gonna pay for locking us up!" Deathbolt's angry shout was quickly followed by his plasma eye beams trying to hit him, but he was moving too fast. The Flash raced around the area, taking the injured prison guards to safety while also avoiding Deathbolt's eye beams when another blur came by and punched him across the face. Deathbolt spun to the ground but quickly got back to his feet when Impulse slid to a stop and threw a lightning bolt, shocking the evil meta from head to toe until he passed out. Flash finished getting the prison guards out of the area and stopped next to Impulse.

"This is your only warning! Stand down and surrender or else this will hurt!" Impulse warned Mist and Dr. Polaris.

"You'll die screaming, sidekick!" The Mist turned into his green poison smoke form while Dr. Polaris hovered into the air and began ripping up all the metal items around the area. Metal fixtures from concrete dividers, light posts, discarded weapons from the guards and even the fencing. Flash and Impulse took off running in opposite directions with the Mist chasing Impulse while Dr. Polaris focused on Flash.

Dr. Polaris sent a swarm of metal objects at the Flash but the speedster zig-zagged out of the way. He then sent the fence at him like a net only for the Flash to phase through with ease before he quickly threw a lightning bolt at Dr. Polaris who used a light pole to block it. That ended up being a bad idea as the iron components in the light post acted like a lightning rod. The moment the lightning struck the light pole which was being controlled by Dr. Polaris's magnetic field it produced a larger electromagnetic field that briefly short-circuited the meta's control over his powers. Dr. Polaris dropped to the ground and the Flash quickly closed the distance, knocking him out with a super speed punch to the face.

The Mist attempted to envelope Impulse with his poison gas, but the speedster was too fast for him. Whenever he'd get close Impulse would run away before the poison gas got within 5-feet of him. Impulse then raced around the giant gaseous green form of the Mist to keep him from escaping. The Mist attempted to get free, but Impulse was running too fast that the wind barrier he was making in the vacuum kept his gas form from escaping. The Mist attempted to escape by going up but the suction from Impulse's vortex kept him grounded. The Flash soon joined him and with the two speedsters running around in a circle around the Mist he wasn't escaping anytime soon. His gaseous form receded until he reverted back to his human one. A few stumbles later he fell to the ground face first, passed out as the vortex sucked up all the oxygen.

Flash and Impulse raced the Mist, Rainbow Raider, Deathbolt and Dr. Polaris back into the metahuman wing and into their cells before reactivating the power dampeners. They saw the bloodbath of dead prison guards and judging by the wounds on the bodies it wasn't done by the metahumans. The wounds looked like they were made with a blade, perhaps a sword or daggers but judging by the hallway filled with dead guards it was the work of someone skilled in hand-to-hand combat. Whoever it was turned off the power dampeners, they'd worried about who after they dealt with the prison riot/breakout going on in the rest of the prison.

A large group of prisoners managed to make it out of the prison and were swarming to the exit where a group of riot guards were waiting to stop them. The guards were ready and armed to stop them despite the number advantage the prisoners had when Impulse and Flash raced by and quickly knocked out all the prisoners. Flash and Impulse stopped by the guards when their cowls beeped, and they got alerted that Cisco pressed his panic button. "Go! I'll handle the rest of the prison." Impulse said to Flash. He nodded and quickly super sped away to save Cisco while Impulse turned to the prison guards. "Keep the entrance secure and wait for CCPD. I'll handle the prison."

"Yes, sir." One of the guards replied as Impulse raced inside and dealt with the riot. The inmates were wreaking havoc, causing chaos, and generally doing whatever the hell they wanted, which abruptly ended as they were all either put back in their cells or knocked unconscious and tied up to be dealt with by the prison guards. The over 2000 prisoner population prison riot ended in an instant with all of them returned to their cells or knocked unconscious and tied up to be dealt with later. The prison yard where a large chunk of the inmates were causing chaos or even trying to get through the fences were quickly knocked out and piled in groups to be dealt with later. The guards that were hunkered down or trapped in their security rooms praying for their lives for backup to arrive soon were relieved to see the prisoners dealt with by a speedster.

Impulse slid to a stop in the prison yard next to giant piles of unconscious prison inmates after he finished securing the entire prison. While some inmates and guards were killed during the riot everyone else was secured. The metahuman wing was secure as well with the Mist, Rainbow Raider, Deathbolt, and Dr. Polaris back in their cells. The problem was that Weather Wizard and Peak-a-Boo had escaped before he and Flash arrived so they had two metahumans on the loose that they would need to track down.

"Gideon, contact CCPD and the prison guards. The prison and all the inmates are secure." Impulse told her.

"Of course."

"Flash, prison is dealt with. How's Cisco?" He asked.

"Fine but we've got a new problem." Flash told him so Impulse raced over to STAR labs. Things were going to get stranger and stranger, with one of those strange things arriving in Star City right now.

Star City airport

The Customs/Immigration line at Star City international airport was going about its business as usual. One of the customs officers signaled the next person to step up and he was a bit taken back by who he saw. A beautiful brunette woman with blue eyes stepped forward wearing a white business suit and matching heels. She was carrying a briefcase and roller suitcase, showing she was here on a business trip. Standing at 5ft10, the woman's enchanting beauty struck many as she held herself with grace and poise.

"Uh…passport?" The customs officer asked so she handed it over. She looked over two young children being check-in with their parents and gave them a smile and small wave and they replied in kind.

The customs officer scanned her French passport as his terminal brought up the data on Diana Prince having arrived from a flight from Paris, France to JFK to Star City. "What's the purpose of your visit in Star City, Ms. Prince? Business or personal?"

"A bit of both, actually." She replied with her voice indicating an accent, likely Mediterranean in origin.

The customs officer did a bit more checking and there were no red flags or anything out of the ordinary. Diana Prince was a reconstruction expert and historian at the Louvre museum in Paris. No holds or alerts on her travels so with no issues he stamped her passport and ticket before handing them back. "Enjoy your stay in Star city, Ms. Prince. Stay safe."

"I will. Thank you." Diana Prince grabbed her bags and exited the airport. While she was technically telling the truth about her reason for being in Star city, suffice to say that staying safe wouldn't be one of them. It was time for her to meet some old friends.

STAR labs, Central City

Barry, Naruto, Joe, Iris, Jiraiya, and Linda were in the cortex with Cisco and his sort of girlfriend Kendra Saunders. The alert they got from Cisco was because some crazy dude interrupted their date at Jitters and tried to kill them with knives. He nearly killed Cisco if Barry wasn't there to save him from getting a knife to the heart, but the guy vanished after that. Cisco and Kendra were safe but Cisco, being an idiot, blurted out Barry's name which led them to their current situation.

"I can't believe you're the Flash and that you work with the Flash." Kendra said to Barry and then to Cisco.

"Yeah, let's keep that on the DL." Cisco said to her when he noticed the death glare, he was getting from Naruto that honestly made him worried. Said glare disappeared when he looked at Kendra.

"Kendra, it's nice to meet you, really it is but you have to keep all of this a secret. People could get hurt if this gets out." Naruto told her.

"I will. Your secrets are safe with me." She promised.

"Thank you. And Cisco, next time keep your mouth shut or you'll be the test subject for a memory eraser I've been working on. It still needs work but I'm ok with you being the lab rat even though it can cause permanent brain damage." Naruto warned him and Cisco nodded fervently. They were friends but Cisco seriously needed to keep his mouth shut. "Anyway, Barry did you get anything from the knife?"

"Yeah, this was the same knife that was used to kill the men at the docks and while I didn't have a lot of time to go over the bodies at Iron Heights, I think it was the same one used on the guards there." Barry explained. "But here's the weird thing. These blades are old, centuries old."

"Do you have any idea why this guy would be after you?" Iris asked Kendra.

"No, I've never seen him before in my life." Kendra answered.

"Well, he was certainly acting like he knew you. He kept calling her Priestess Chay-Ara." Cisco remembered.

"Chay-Ara?" Naruto asked and Cisco nodded.

"That's Coptic. Ancient Egyptian." Jiraiya said and everyone looked at him in confusion. "What? I know things."

"Well, I grew up in Wisconsin, and I've never even left the states so I don't know why he would call me that." Kendra said.

"Gideon, is the prison security footage ready?" Naruto asked her and her holographic head appeared by the computers.

"Unfortunately, the primary data stream is heavily corrupted, but I have repaired enough for viewing." Gideon put it on the main screen so everyone could see. They watched the camera footage from the metahuman wing as the prison guards tried in vain to stop their mystery assailant. The man moved with incredible speed, agility and seemingly super strength as he was able to punch men into the ceiling and kicked one guard down the hallway. They saw him use various knives/daggers to effortlessly stab, slash, and eviscerate the security guards as he made his way to the power dampener control room.

"Holy hell…" Joe muttered.

"Like lambs to the slaughter." Jiraiya added.

"Gideon freeze frame and clear up the picture." Naruto said and she did. She isolated the footage on the man's face to give them a clear image. "Is that him?"

"Yeah. That's him." Kendra replied while Cisco and Barry nodded.

"Gideon, facial recognition." Naruto ordered and she ran a search and ended up finding a match. In her massive database she only had one piece of information on the man. It was a black and white photo from 1975. "The picture's from 1975."

"That's impossible. He'd be in his 80s by now." Linda pointed out.

"Ok, Kendra what else happened? What else can you tell us?" Naruto asked her.

"He said we've known each other for ages, but I've never met the man before. I just moved to Central City six months ago." Kendra answered.

"Why'd you move here?" Naruto questioned.

"I just felt drawn to the city, I guess."

"Kendra, there's a reason this guy is after you so I'm gonna need more than you just drawn to the city." Naruto told her.

"Look, Naruto, maybe you can just take it down a bit." Cisco suggested but the look on his face told him he was in no mood for that.

"Cisco, I'm not sure if it's come to your attention but this is very serious. Ok, this man, whoever the hell is he came to Central City of all places for Kendra so clearly, they have some kind of connection even if she doesn't know it. He is obviously incredible skilled, powerful, and caused the prison riot at Iron Heights not just because he felt like it but to draw attention. Not just anyone's attention but Barry and I so that he could try and kill her while we were busy. Clearly, this is not just a rogue metahuman but someone different otherwise we wouldn't have a facial recognition photo of him from the 1970s. We have no idea what we're dealing with and that puts us all in danger and Kendra is at the center of it so maybe we should be asking these kinds of questions." Naruto stated when he noticed the look on Cisco's face. "You know something, don't you?"

"What? No." Cisco replied.

"Cisco, if you know something about this or about Kendra and you don't tell us then that puts us at risk." Naruto warned him.

"Ok, ok…" Joe spoke up to keep the tension from rising any higher. "Ok, maybe we should just take a deep breath and calm down. We're all friends here and we want to keep Kendra safe. I'll put a police detail on her until we figure this out."

"That won't help. You saw what he did to the prison guards so there's no way the police can handle this. They have to handle it." Jiraiya stated.

"Jiraiya's right and so is Naruto. This guy is something different, but the best chance Kendra has is with us. If he's here in Central City, then maybe we should move someplace else where we can get some help." Barry suggested and Naruto nodded in agreement.

"I'll call the others in Star city. Green Arrow and the others should be able to lend us a hand and they have more experience with this kind of thing." Naruto added. "Joe, Iris, Jiraiya, would you mind holding down the fort here?"

"No problem, kid." Jiraiya promised.

Barry and Naruto then walked out into the hallway to speak. "You were a little hard on Cisco, don't you think?" Barry pointed out.

"Within reason, Barry. This guy is something different and Cisco doesn't realize yet just how dangerous he is." Naruto pointed out.

"I know. When I fought him at Jitters it wasn't like fighting a metahuman. There was something different about him, something mystical." Barry admitted.

"Oliver has more experience with that than us, so we'll follow his lead. At the very least, getting out of Central City could put some distance between Kendra and him. Those two are connected somehow even if she doesn't know it yet and Cisco can hide it all he wants but he knows it too." Naruto said and Barry looked confused.

"What do you mean?"

"I saw it on his face. He knows something about Kendra, but he won't say what it is. Could be he saw it in a Vibe but the fact that this guy shows up in Central City looking for her? Something is happening that we found ourselves in the middle of and I don't like it. This guy caused a prison break at Iron Heights to draw us away. That was a tactical move just to get her." Naruto said and Barry agreed. Something was up and they needed more information. "Still, getting Kendra out of Central City could at least give us some distance to figure out who this guy is and what we can do. Get Cisco and Kendra ready. I'll prep a quinjet and let Oliver know we're coming. Things should be quiet in Star City."

Oh, how wrong he was.

An hour later…

Star City

Green Arrow, Arsenal, Speedy, and Spartan were out in the city taking down regular criminal activity going on in the city. Robberies, muggings, and such as Damien Darkh and Hive were quiet, likely recouping their efforts and gathering more men after the heroes took down one of their main operating bases. With Impulse's help they put away a lot of Ghosts, destroyed a lot of their supplies, gained some intel in the form of Diggle's presumed dead brother Andy, and dropped of Damien Darkh in the middle of the Artic Ocean. Even with magic he'd been gone for a while. Granted they were sure Darkh would be back as he wouldn't throw in the towel after one setback and Andy was being stoically quiet like a determined POW, so he wasn't talking. But things were looking up for Green Arrow and the others and at the very least with Naruto's help they knew they would be able to stop Darkh.

A group of Los Halcones were trussed up outside a warehouse for the SCPD due to the efforts of Green Arrow, Spartan, Speedy, and Arsenal when a white van smashed through the cargo bay shutters and drove like crazy. A Los Halcones member was driving the van filled with money in an attempt to get away and regroup with the rest of his gang. He drove straight towards the heroes and was going to run them over when a red blur raced by and moved them out of the way. Green Arrow, Speedy, Arsenal, and Spartan were saved by the Flash as the van drove to the street when a crimson and white blur raced around the vehicle. He pulled out the driver while shutting the van's engine off which made it slow to a stop. The Los Halcones member was taken aback as he was just in the van but was now outside with Impulse holding him by the collar.

"Hello." Impulse smiled and knocked him out with a headbutt. "And good night."

He dropped his body to the ground as he walked over to the others. Green Arrow, Speedy, and Arsenal were fine, but Spartan lifted his helmet up and threw up. "Dammit! Every time."

"Sorry." Flash apologized.

"Not that it's not nice to see you two but what are you doing in Star City?" Green Arrow asked.

"We need your help to protect someone." Impulse told him.

The group returned to the bunker, Green Arrow's hideout, which ended up giving Barry his first look at the place. "Wow! Nice new digs. Naruto, you really outdid yourself." Barry told him as they exited the elevator.

"If you think this is something then wait until I show you guys what else I've got working." Naruto remarked before he left to get Cisco, Linda, and Kendra. He gave Felicity a hug before she walked over to Barry.

"Barry, it's so good to see you."

"Felicity. Good to see you too." Barry hugged her and they separated, which is when she hit him in the stomach.

"How come you didn't tell me Zoom broke your back?" Felicity then quickly hugged him again giving Barry some whiplash. "Oh, I'm so glad you're ok."

"So, this is what it's like dating her?" Barry asked Oliver.

"More bruises from her than from Deathstroke." Oliver quipped as Naruto returned with Linda, Cisco, and Kendra.

"Ok, STAR labs is impressive, but this place is something else." Kendra said in amazement.

"And also, something we'll need you to never mention again." Naruto reminded her and she nodded. "Right, everyone this is Kendra Saunders the person in question we need to protect. Kendra this is Oliver Queen, John Diggle, Roy Harper, Thea Queen, and Felicity Smoak AKA Green Arrow, Spartan, Arsenal, Speedy, and Overwatch."

"Overwatch?" Felicity asked.

"Felt that you deserved a codename too. Can't just call you Felicity in the field. And Oracle is already taken. Plus, I felt it kind of fits. You watch over us so we can do our job." Naruto answered.

"Oh, I love it." Felicity smiled.

"We'll keep you safe. Linda, if you wouldn't mind could you take Cisco and Kendra to the penthouse. We'll be there shortly." Naruto said.

"Sure thing." She gave him a kiss and led Cisco and Kendra away.

"Penthouse? You own a penthouse in Star city?" Thea asked.

"I'm a billionaire and I own part of Palmer Technologies. Felt like I needed one just in case. Perks of being rich." Naruto remarked.

"Something my brother and I remember, and I'll admit I do miss." Thea admitted earning a chuckle from Oliver. "So, who exactly is after Kendra?"

Naruto walked over to the computer terminals and brought up the stilled image from Iron Heights, played the security footage of him slaughtering the prison guards and also the facial recognition comparison to the photo from 1975. Naruto and Barry gave them a brief rundown on their situation and their mystery assailant. Someone who definitely wasn't a normal human as they wouldn't have been able to survive the hail of bullets, but also showed signs of enhanced speed and strength. Someone who caused a prison riot at Iron Heights to draw Flash and Impulse away so he could go kill Kendra who he called by some Egyptian name, was using centuries old daggers, and appeared in a photo from 1975. Someone they had no idea who he was.

"Wow. Just when I think I've heard everything." Diggle remarked.

"I'm starting to understand now why you came for help. Kendra doesn't know anything?" Oliver asked and got headshakes.

"If there is a connection it's one she's not aware of. I had Gideon do a background check on her and nothing out of the ordinary. Not so much as a parking ticket." Naruto answered.

"Ok, so we have a mystery man who isn't a metahuman but somehow has a picture of himself that dates back to the 1970s, is extremely skilled with knives, is obsessed with Kendra, and was able to find her." Roy recounted.

"And there was something about him. He wasn't a metahuman but definitely something not normal. Mystical, maybe?" Barry suggested.

"Like Darkh?" Diggle wondered.

"Not exactly. What Darkh is able to do isn't the same but then again who knows what the rules are with magic." Naruto pointed out. "I called Batman in Gotham and sent him the information. He or Oracle will let me know what they find."

"You really think he'll be able to find anything that we can't?" Felicity questioned.

"He's the world's greatest detective and likely has access to knowledge we don't. If anyone can find something on this guy it's Batman." Naruto answered when his smartwatch buzzed. The caller ID was Oracle.

"That him?" Barry wondered, anxious to talk to Batman but got a headshake before Naruto answered.

"Hey, Oracle. Did you manage to find anything?" Naruto asked.

"I did but I think it's just gonna give you some more questions than answers. Whoever this guy is, he's a serious mystery, someone that even has Batman stumped but he did pop up in an old CIA file from 1986. Granted the file was heavily redacted. Not a lot if anything it was able to tell us, but Soviet Union came up a few times, so it likely had something to do with the cold war. Guess your friend was on the CIA's radar. But that's not the strange part. Harmony Falls, Oregon. A bunch of killings occurred that looked like the work of a serial killer and were never solved. I can't say that your guy was involved but I did a little digging which took a while but thank god that the hospitals there digitized their old records. Hooray for whoever's bright idea that was. I'm sending you a picture." Oracle said and Naruto checked his smart watch.

"Ok, yeah this is definitely getting into some weird territory." Naruto pressed a few buttons on his watch making the photo show up on the bunker's computers. What appeared was a black and white photo of Doctor Curtis Knox and it was the same guy who was after Kendra.

"That's him. Curtis Knox. At least we have a name on this guy." Barry said.

"Yeah, hate to burst your bubble there, whoever that was, but I don't think that's his name or at least the name he's using now." Oracle said on speaker phone.

"Why not?" Thea wondered.

"Because that photo is from 1958." Oracle clarified.

"Ok, forget the guy being in his 80s. He'd be dead by now." Barry pointed out.

"Maybe a descendant? Grandson? Some kind of generational thing?" Diggle suggested.

"You're guess is as good as mine. I'll keep looking into it and let you know what I find." Oracle said.

"Thanks, Oracle." Naruto hung up after that. "Well, I don't know about you guys, but I could use a drink."

"Yup." They all agreed.

Naruto, Barry, Oliver, Thea, and Roy went to Naruto's penthouse to get those needed drinks, some food and rest up while they contemplated their next move. Cisco, Linda, and Kendra were waiting for them, and Diggle would join them, but he stopped by his home first to check on Lyla and baby Sara. Naruto's penthouse in Star city wasn't all that different from the penthouse he and Linda called home in Central City. Two floor style with the first being the main living area with the living room and kitchen while the second was for the bedrooms. It was furnished but seemed fairly standard like the kind of stock furniture of an apartment and had yet to be customized. But the place was secure and with a fully stocked kitchen with alcohol.

Naruto ended up cooking for everyone, showing off some fancy cooking skills and it helped to alleviate the mood. A solemn, dead mood would just make everyone worry and panic so keeping things a little more jovial was tactically smart. And they couldn't really do much until they learned more so with some distance between Kendra and the mystery unageing murderer they could relax a bit.

"Oh my god that was delicious." Kendra said as she and everyone finished their food with clean plates which said a lot for Naruto's skills in the kitchen.

"One of the best meals I've had." Felicity added.

"Nothing fancy. Just some Osso Buco with a risotto and vegetables." Naruto admitted as he took their plates to the kitchen.

"Nothing fancy? I've had food like that in the best restaurants and it's never come even close to how good your version is. If fixing the world doesn't pan out, then you should open a restaurant." Thea suggested.

"And that's just basic for Naruto. He's gotten really good in the kitchen. Ever since he's been back it's been like non-stop eating at the best restaurants in the world and he's even made my lunches to take to work. Thank god I burn a lot of calories with my powers, or I'd have to buy new clothes." Linda told them.

"So, is this passion for cooking a recent hobby?" Kendra wondered.

"Not really. I've dabbled in the kitchen growing up and learned plenty of recipes from my parents. Japanese, mainly and I'll admit that when I became a speedster…food…uh, food has kind of loss certain spark to it." Naruto said and Barry nodded in agreement.

"When you have to eat in vast quantity to keep your metabolism up it becomes less about taste and more about just eating. You get bored pretty easily." Barry added as Naruto came over and took some more plates.

"The woes of speedsters." Naruto said as he and Barry fist bumped. "Which is where the cooking comes in. Helps to bring some joy of eating back into it. Granted I still have to eat a lot before to keep up my metabolism but it's fun. Cooking is basically science and with my speed I pick things up easily. It broadens my horizons past science."

"Oliver understands that. He's taken up cooking as well." Felicity pointed out.

"It's nice to use my skills for things outside of the mask." Oliver admitted.

"Well, you've got some competition Naruto." Roy told him. "Green Arrow and Impulse, head-to-head in a fight in the kitchen."

"That I would pay to see." Cisco joked and everyone chuckled. Naruto quickly cleaned up and everyone enjoyed some music and drinks as they moved to the living room.

"I'm not changing my nickname. I like Speedy." Thea said to Cisco.

"Are you familiar with my body of work? If you are then you know I can come up with something so much better than Speedy." Cisco assured her only for Thea to lean back into Roy's embrace as they sat on the couch.

"Why don't you get a haircut and then maybe we can talk about it." Thea quipped.

"I think you're just mad because my conditioner game is on point." Cisco countered, rolling some hair around his index finger.

Naruto poured Linda another glass of wine and kissed her on the cheek before she walked over and sat on the couch. Barry and Felicity were talking, catching up on what they had missed in each other's lives as Oliver walked over to Naruto after pouring himself a glass of scotch and bringing over a second for him. "Thanks again for helping us with Kendra and our mystery man. I know you guys are probably busy." Naruto said to Oliver.

"Don't mention it. We owe you more so we're happy to help. And Hive and the Ghosts have been quiet ever since we took down that staging area." Oliver replied.

"Any word of Darkh?" Naruto wondered and got a head shake in response. "Probably still making his way back to Star City or figuring out his next move which gives us the chance to stop him and Hive before he accomplishes whatever he and his organization have planned. What about Andy? How's Dig handling that?"

"About as well as you can expect. Andy hasn't said anything." Oliver told him.

"Well, with that drug in his system he won't and he's former special forces so already he's not gonna crack. I'm almost done with the counteragent to Darkh's mind control pills and that should break the mind control Hive has on him and the others. What happens after and what Andy says well…guess Dig will get some answers as to who his brother really is." Naruto said and Oliver nodded. "But enough about that dreary talk. How are things going with the Mayoral race?"

"Pretty good considering how busy our nightly activities keep the Green Arrow. It probably helps that I'm running unopposed." Oliver pointed out.

"Maybe an endorsement from STAR labs could help solidify your mayoral run and assuage any kind of critics? With how much change I've managed to bring to Central City, maybe we can do the same for Star City." Naruto suggested.

"Sounds like a good idea." Oliver agreed and the two clinked their glasses for small cheers before Oliver moved over so the others could see him. "I would like to propose a toast." Oliver raised his glass, and everyone followed his lead. "I wish it wasn't just the dark times bringing us together."

Barry then super sped by and took his drink to finish the toast. "But it is friends like you that make those dark times worth having."

"What a guy. Steals my drinks, steals my words. As I was saying, it's good to see everyone. Cheers." Oliver said.

"Cheers." They all said and took a drink. Naruto walked over and sat down next to Linda, kissing her on the head as the two enjoyed their moment to relax.

Some time passed and Cisco stood up to stretch his legs. Barry got up and joined him, seeing the worried look on his face. "Look, don't worry, all right? We're gonna keep her safe, I promise."

"Yeah, I know but there's something I didn't tell you or Naruto. He was right because I was hiding something. The first time I kissed Kendra, I got a vibe. Like I vibed vibed. Remember the man with the wings search I did a while ago?" Cisco asked and Barry nodded. "It wasn't a man. It was Kendra. She was, like, a bird."

"You think that she's a metahuman?" Barry asked and Cisco just shrugged. "Wait, why didn't you say anything about this sooner?"

"I guess I…I have this great thing going with her. She doesn't even know about my powers. She laughs at my jokes, and she loves movies, and…I just—I've never felt like this before, and I don't want to sabotage it." Cisco admitted and Barry sympathized with him.

"I get the feeling, I do…but if the last year has taught us anything…it's that keeping secrets like this from people we care about end badly." Barry reminded him, referring to how they handle the situation with Naruto when they suspected he could be working with Thawne. That kind of secret keeping ended badly. "If you really like Kendra then she deserves to know the truth."

"[Gasps] Look out!" Kendra shouted as the mystery man swung down from outside the building and smashed through a bulletproof, reinforced glass window to enter the penthouse.

"I will always fine you, Chay-Ara." The man said as Naruto and Barry super sped around to give Oliver, Roy, and Thea their bows and quivers. Oliver drew an arrow and pulled it back on his bow.

"Don't move."

The man seemed to ignore Oliver's warning as his gaze turned to Kendra before looking at Naruto and Linda. "Ah, the speedster and the star. Of course, you two would be here to defend her. You have been constant thorns in my side for too long."

Naruto and Linda shared quick looks of confusion. "I think you have us confused with someone else there." Naruto told him.

"Oh, no I do not. Millenia, I have walked this earth. Countless adversaries, betrayals, conquerors, generals, and warriors have tried to stop me, yet all have fallen by my blade but none of them measure to the grievances and annoyances you and your compatriots have brought me." The man said with his words carrying all the weight, venom, and hatred he had which only further confused Naruto, Linda, and the others. "But I have learned from our various encounters and know that ever the hero will protect others first!"

With superhuman speed, the man hurled throwing knives at everyone in the room while Oliver released his arrow at him. Clearly this man was something bizarre but powerful as he threw the knives so fast that they cleared halfway across the room before the two speedsters could react. Naruto and Barry moved at super speed, grabbing the throwing knives out of the air before they could hurt the others. Savage then pulled out a special golden-bronze dagger that looked more like a relic and aimed the blade at the two speedsters who were moving to the left. The blade glowed blue and fired a blue energy beam at the two speedsters. With little time to act Barry moved Roy and Thea out of the path of the beam while Naruto activated his Speed Force armor to block the energy beam. It worked as his armor managed to prevent the dagger's energy beam from killing him but the force and shockwave it made knocked Naruto into Barry and the two crashed into a wall. All of this happened at super speed for Naruto and Barry, so the others were caught off guard by the sudden shockwave and seeing the two speedsters knocked around while their mystery assailant managed to catch Oliver's arrow.

Oliver fired another arrow with Thea and Roy shooting one each, but the man caught all three and tossed them over his shoulder without a care in the world. Oliver rushed forward and attacked with a flurry of quick strikes that the man parried or blocked before he struck Oliver in the face and then kicked him in the stomach. Thea and Roy rushed in to help but despite the number advantage their attacks were easily blocked and parried before he headbutted Roy in the face and tossed him over the couch while kicking Thea. She landed on the kitchen table where Felicity, Cisco, Kendra, and Linda were hiding behind and they helped her. Oliver got back up and resumed the fight as Barry and Naruto slowly got back to their feet when the man used the energy dagger to slice Oliver's bow in half and then push kick him in the chest and knock him back. Naruto caught him when the man threw another throwing knife, but Barry caught it before it hit.

"Hey!" Linda shouted, stepping out from underneath the kitchen table and firing a light blast from her left hand. She hoped it would be enough to push the guy back and give the others a chance to regroup but astonishingly the energy dagger absorbed her light blast.

"Oh, that's not good." Cisco stated.

"You did not think I would not come to our next encounter without preparations, Doctor Light? I've had years to prepare for our next encounter." Savage said as the daggered glow blue again when something smashed through the one not broken window and entered the penthouse. Everyone covered their eyes from the shattering glass as a glowing yellow rope wrapped itself around the man's arm holding the dagger before whipping him up into the ceiling. The man fell to the ground with a thud as Naruto, Barry, Oliver, and the others saw the glowing yellow rope retract back into a bundle being held by its wielder who literally crashed into their lives.

She was a tall, fair-skinned woman with straight waist-length black hair, blue eyes and broad shoulders, sporting a slender and athletic frame with a well-toned build. In her hand was a bundle of glowing rope but that was only part of the oddity as the rest was her ensemble resembled armor. The armor consisted of a red leather bodice, topped by a golden eagle on her chest and connected to a blue leather skirt seemingly held together by a golden belt that resembled the letter W. In addition to the main piece there were a set of matching boot and greaves, an arm band on her left arm with the same W shape as her belt. On her wrists were long silver forearm guards/bracers, an Ancient Greek-style shield and sword on her back and a tiara on her head. (1)

"It seems you haven't prepared enough, Savage." The woman said as Savage got up off the floor.

"You." Savage glared. "You have a habit of showing up where you are not welcome, Amazon."

"Wherever you go you cause death, pain and misery which is precisely where I'm needed, Savage." The woman said before drawing her sword and shield from her back. "And this encounter will end much like our others, with my sword cutting your head off."

"Just try it." Savage fired an energy beam from the dagger which the woman deflected with her shield and the two crossed blades. The others watched the fight and while their mystery assailant, who they now knew as Savage, was extremely skilled the armored woman was equally so, and she moved faster than a normal person would indicating she was special. She fought with power yet grace, strength yet fluidity and she was keeping Savage back. His dagger fired the occasional energy beam at her, but she used her shield or the bracers on his wrist to deflect the blasts away from her and the others.

"Let's get this asshole out of my apartment!" Naruto shouted before he raced forward.

The woman blocked Savage's dagger before headbutting him in the face and pushing him back which is when Naruto raced by and punched him across the face. Barry sped by shortly after and did the same thing before the two hit him from opposite directions, so he spun around. The warrior woman then bashed him with her shield, knocking him up into the ceiling again when Roy handed Oliver his bow and used it to shoot a taser arrow. It Savage in the arm and electrocuted him before his body fell to the ground. Naruto and Barry slid to a stop next to Oliver and they were in disbelief to see him getting back up which is when the warrior woman sheathed her sword and shield on her back before looking at them.

"Get down!" She told them so they and the others ducked and covered their heads before she raised her arms and slammed her bracers together. When they struck a distinct ringing/clanging sound was heard followed by a flash of light and then a powerful shockwave. Naruto and the others were knocked back a bit but were relatively safe with the warning she gave them, but Savage was front and center of the impact which sent him flying out of the window down to the street below.

Once it was all over everyone picked up their heads to see Savage gone, the warrior woman relaxed, and Naruto's penthouse pretty much destroyed. "Ok, see this is why I ask questions." Naruto stated as he, Barry, and Oliver rushed over to the window to see the body but there wasn't one.

"Wait, where did he go?" Barry asked.

"Oh, boy." All three of them said.

"He's long gone by now, but he'll return." The woman told them, and Oliver immediately drew an arrow and aimed it at her. "That is not necessary, Mr. Queen. I'm a friend. Or would you prefer Green Arrow?"

"Who are you?!" Oliver demanded.

"Hang on, Oliver." Naruto placed his hand on her bow and got him to lower the arrow before he looked at the warrior woman. She seemed to be on their side and it was at that moment he saw the way he looked at her like she was reunited with a long-lost friend. "She wouldn't have shown up to deal with that guy only to just kill us. You're on our side, right?"

"I am. Apologies for the manner of my arrival but when dealing with Savage I've often found that subtly is best discarded. And sorry for the state of your residence." She said, looking around at the wreck Naruto's penthouse was which would definitely need some fixing. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Diana, daughter of Queen Hippolyta, Princess of Themyscira and the Amazons."

The others weren't sure what to make of that introduction, but Naruto recognized her. Not her specifically as he had never met her before, but her outfit was a variation on the armor worn by Wonder Woman on the animated earth he visited during Darkseid's invasion. She was a founding member of the Justice League on that earth, so she was probably the same on this one. She even had the same name so this must be his earth's version of the same person. "Wonder Woman." Naruto said and she nodded.

"Wait, that's you?" Cisco went wide-eyed in excitement, so the others looked at him in confusion. "I've been tracking a whole bunch of reports of miraculous saves and criminal arrests all over Europe by a mystery woman in armor for years, way before Oliver became the Green Arrow or Barry and Naruto became Flash and Impulse. There's never been a clean picture of her face in the news for anyone to see and the various media outlets have dubbed her Wonder Woman."

"I've tried my best to keep a low profile as the news and media's reach has grown exponentially but I do what I can, and your friend is correct. I am here to help you against Savage." Diana assured them,

"Who is he?" Barry asked and she nodded.

"His true name is Vandal Savage, and the reason he was here is because he is after Kendra Saunders." She said as everyone looked at Kendra.

"Yeah, we kind of got that locked down but why?" Linda asked.

"I'm sorry that I do not know but what I do know is that Vandal Savage will stop at nothing until he gets you. No matter who is put in his path he will not stop, and he is not easy to kill." She told them.

"What exactly is he? Not a metahuman and considering he's been around for years he's not human. Vampire, either blood or energy?" Naruto asked and got a head shake in response.

"No. He is an immortal. Born ages ago but has continued to walk the earth. He was the most trusted advisor to Genghis Khan, he guided Julius Caesar through the Gallic wars, he witnessed the fall of the Roman Empire, the beginning of the crusades, the Black Plague, was a trusted advisor to Adolf Hitler and has seen countless wars both large and small. He has been there for all of it." She told them and that seemed ridiculous.

"Ok, we've officially stepped into crazy town. Immortality? This is a joke, right?" Kendra asked.

"Wait, no, no, no, this makes sense. This explains why he looks the same as he did in 1975 and then again in that picture from 1958." Thea said and everyone agreed.

"This is crazy." Kendra muttered.

"Honestly, crazy is becoming the new normal." Naruto remarked. "Diana, how can you possibly know this?"

"Because you told me." She removed a photo from her belt and handed it to him. "This isn't the first time we've met."

Naruto took the photo to get a better look and went wide-eyed in response shortly followed by Oliver and Barry. "What? What is it?" Linda asked as she, Felicity, Cisco, and Kendra walked over to see what was going on and when they saw the photo, they went wide-eyed too. It was a black and white photo of Diana with a bunch of people. In the photo, she was wearing the same armor and using the same weapons but had a fur coat on as well. Standing beside her was an American Army Pilot, a Moroccan spy, a Scottish marksman, and a Native America Smuggler. All in all, seemed like a normal photo but then it got odd as there were other people in the photo who were like Diana who weren't in period attire. The biggest point of craziness was that the other people in the photo were from the present day. Naruto and Linda were there dressed in their hero suits, same with Sara in a new white one, Ray in his Atom suit, Professor Stein with Jefferson Jackson, Captain Cold and Heatwave of all people, and believe it or not Kendra.

"When was this taken?" Naruto asked her.

"Belgium, 1918." Diana answered and after there was a long moment of silence.

"I really could use another drink." Naruto said when he saw his bar was destroyed. "Crap."

With Naruto's penthouse destroyed the group retreated to the bunker where Diggle met up with them. They walked in from the elevator and Diggle saw their new guest was exactly as Oliver described. Tall, beautiful but wearing armor with a sword and shield. Diana looked around at the bunker in intrigue. "Impressive base of operations." She praised them as they walked over to the computers.

"Diggle, meet Diana, Diana meet John Diggle." Oliver introduced the two and they shook hands.

"Nice to meet you." Diggle said to her.

"And you as well." Diana replied. "I understand that a lot has happened, and this is a lot of information so feel free to ask me anything and I'll do my best to answer what I can."

"Ok, first things first…thank you for helping us." Naruto said to Diana, and she nodded. "And I'm sorry in advance if I offend you but if you really are who you say you are, and this is all real…how old are you?"

"That is hard to answer but I believe at least 3000 years old." She answered.

"So, you're really an Amazon as in Greek mythology Amazon? Labors of Heracles, Jason and the Argonauts, Iliad and all that." Cisco said causing Naruto and Barry to look at him oddly. "What? I don't just know pop culture stuff."

"Yes, but the tales told by man are hardly to be believed as factual. And I cannot tell the truth of what was written as I was not alive then. I was born years after on Themyscira when the Amazons retreated from the world of man during the times you would know as Ancient Greece." She answered. "The Amazons were a bridge to a greater understanding between all men. It was our sacred duty to defend the world, but a deadly war made my mother believe that man's world was nothing but death and destruction, so we retreated to our new home of Themyscira and cut ourselves off."

"If that's the case then why are you here?" Oliver asked as she remembered some very important events of her past.

"Someone once told me when you see something going wrong in the world you can either do something or do nothing. For so long my people did nothing. So, I decided to do something." She replied.

"And that something likely is the reason why Naruto, Kendra, Ray and I were in that photo from World War 1. You've met us before." Linda said and Diana nodded. "That would mean we time traveled?"

"But I've never time traveled unless this means I plan to do so in the future but ugh…" Naruto rubbed his hair in frustration. "Even with my super genius brain this is making my head hurt."

"Join the club and I was just wrapping my head around metahumans and magic." Dig remarked.

"I'm honestly still lost at the whole Savage being an immortal situation. Are you immortal like Savage, Diana?" Kendra asked her.

"Not in the same way. When the Amazons departed to Themyscira, Zeus and the gods granted us everlasting long life so that we would not age past our physical prime, but we are not immortal. We can still be killed." She answered, correcting the confusion. "I'm not sure how or why Savage is immortal and can't be killed. That is one of the few mysteries about him I've never been able to solve."

"So, you've dealt with him before?" Felicity asked and got a nod.

"On many occasions throughout the year. 1918 was our first encounter and it was you three that informed me of his existence." Diana said referring to Naruto, Linda, and Kendra.

"But I didn't even know anything about him." Kendra pointed out.

"But if that photo is to be believed as is Diana, then we will which is when we'll time travel in the future to the past to try and stop Savage back then along with Diana which is where she'll learn all of this. I think." Linda said, trying to make sense of this weird paradox.

"So then would this be the situation where we learn about Savage? Then this would be a causal loop paradox." Cisco stated.

"A what?" Roy was confused as was pretty much everyone else who wasn't scientifically minded.

"A causal loop otherwise known as retro-causality is a paradox of time travel. When a future event is the cause of a past event, which in turn is the cause of the future event. Somewhere in the future we learn about Savage, likely soon after this moment then somehow some of us travel back into the past where we meet Diana for the first time and tell her about Savage so that she can then tell us now about Savage." Naruto explained. "Basically, a giant loop paradox of information. I don't suppose you know anything more about Savage like why he's after Kendra or how we can stop him?"

"That I'm afraid I do not know. The information you gave me was sparse for a reason as you said it could have affects to time if you revealed too much." Diana said and Naruto agreed with that logic. If he didn't tell Diana everything, that is if his future-self knew everything, then it had to be for a reason. "And I've tried to kill Savage many times, but nothing has kept him dead."

Everyone let that sink in for a moment before Diggle cleared his throat. "Ok, just so I have this right…we have an immortal obsessed killer after Kendra who is connected to him in some way that we do not yet know who can't be killed and the reason we know this is because of an also ageless Greek Amazon Princess who knows what she knows because three people here will time travel back to World War 1 sometime in the future."

"Yeah, pretty much." Naruto replied.

"That seems to be it." Diana agreed.

"Ok. Ok, just making sure." Dig muttered.

"This is crazy. This can't be real." Kendra said in disbelief.

"I'm afraid it is, Kendra." Diana told her. "I've bought us some time, but Savage has never been deterred for very long."

"I'll say. The guy followed us all the way from Central City. And how the hell did he know where to find us?" Barry asked.

"He knew who Linda and I were and if he's really immortal he's going to have a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Normally I'd say we take the fight to him instead of being hunted but that's easier said than done. Tracking him down is getting us nowhere as it seems like he's able to avoid cameras all over the city. But now with what Diana told us about this guy being a magic immortal that makes some sense. With him being immortal we really don't have a way to stop him. We've got a lot of blanks to fill in here." Naruto said and Barry gave Cisco a look.

"I know where we can get some information." Barry said and Cisco nodded.

"Kendra, there's something I didn't tell you before. Barry, Naruto and Linda aren't the only metahumans here. I'm one too." Cisco admitted to the shock of Kendra, Oliver, Roy, Felicity, and Thea. "I get these visions, vibes from people. I had them when Naruto was gone and how we knew he wasn't dead…and I had one of you on our first date. You had wings and could fly…like a bird."

"A bird? What else did you see?" Kendra asked.

"That's it, just you with wings. I didn't think any of it at the time. Maybe you were a late bloomer like I was but with Savage it has to be connected. I know I should have said something sooner when he first showed up but I just…I didn't want things to be different between us." Cisco said to her.

"This is too much. I…I need some air." Kendra said before she walked away. Understandably she was frazzled by everything going on, but the others were used to dealing with crazy situations while she wasn't. Granted this kind of a crazy was different than their usual crazy but they had adapted. Cisco followed her to keep an eye on her so that they could talk.

"I will admit that I've seen a lot, you know traveling the multiverse and dealing with the Speed force but this definitely a first for me." Naruto admitted. "Sorry for all of our responses, Diana. We really do appreciate everything, but this is definitely a first for us."

"It's quite all right. I had a similar reaction when we first met." Diana assured him.

"Um, so about that…" Linda started to speak but Diana's look got her to stop.

"While I'm still not as versed in the ideas of time travel and paradoxes as the rest of you it was made clear that when we meet again that I should reveal only what was essential. Any more could have dire consequences on what could happen." Diana stated.

"Fair enough." Linda stopped after that.

"So, then you knew to come to Star City tonight? You knew Savage would be at my penthouse because I'm guessing future me told you about this and about Savage so then you could come here and tell us about Savage." Naruto said and Diana nodded. "Ok, causal loop closed."

"Yeah, none of us still have no idea what's going on." Oliver pointed out.

"It's ok, we've got it settled. Time travel and causality are the least of our worries right now. Our bigger concern should be what we do with Savage. If Diana's had multiple encounters with the immortal madman and he's still not dead, then what do we do?" Naruto asked and there wasn't an answer. "That wasn't rhetorical. I opened up the question to the whole room so let's hear some ideas."

"Aren't you the super genius?" Roy pointed out.

"Yeah, but there's no exact science on how to deal with an immortal especially since I have no idea how he became immortal in the first place. In all honesty, I've got no idea what we can do." Naruto admitted.

"Well, that's reassuring." Felicity remarked. The fact that their resident super genius was stumped didn't do a lot for their confidence.

"What about locking him up?" Linda suggested.

"Putting him in the ARGUS prison on Lian Yu with Deathstroke or what about the STAR Labs pipeline?" Felicity added.

"I'm afraid that would be a half-measure at best. Savage has been around for thousands of years and while I'm unsure as to his unique mystical attributes I doubt there is any prison that would hold him for long." Diana theorized.

"And I wouldn't want him anywhere near a city. He's shown to have zero qualms with putting innocent people in danger." Naruto said, referring to how Savage set the prisoners at Iron Heights free just as a distraction. "The key to stopping him has to be his weird connection and obsession with Kendra, whatever it is."

"Naruto's right. If Savage has been around for thousands of years, then why go after her? From how he talked it's like the two are connected somehow as he was able to find her in Central City and then again here." Oliver added.

"Maybe whatever Cisco's vibes show can fill us in, so we know exactly what we're dealing with." Barry said when he felt his smart watch buzz with a call from Cisco. "Hey, Cisco how's Kendra?"

"Red alert! Red alert! She was taken!"

"What?!" Everyone shouted.

"We were talking when all of a sudden a guy with wings swooped down and carried her away."

"We'll find her. Gideon, ping her tracer." Naruto walked over to the computers and typed in a few commands.

"You put a tracker on her?" Barry asked.

"She's the primary target for Savage and was getting skittish. I had a feeling she'd run." Naruto told him when the signal came it and they saw it was moving fast across the city but not taking streets or roads so someone was flying.

"Let's suit up and get some answers." Barry said and Naruto and Oliver nodded before they looked at Diana. "You want to come with?"

"Happy you asked." Diana replied as the four major heroes got ready. Oliver quickly suited up as the Green Arrow and rode away on his motorcycle, the Flash suited up and raced away while Impulse and Wonder Woman exited the bunker from the alley entrance.

"How's your tolerance to motion sickness?" Impulse asked, handing her an ear comm piece which she put in.

"Don't worry. I'll be fine." Wonder Woman crouched down before leaping up into the air which ended up being a super jump. Impulse looked on in amazement but then saw her linger in the air from her super jump which was actually her flying.

"She can fly. Good to know." Impulse then took off running as the lenses on his mask came down to show him the movement of Kendra's tracer. "Ok everyone she's still on the move heading to the east side of the city."

"Got it. Gideon's directing me where to go. Felicity, any eyes on her kidnapper?" Green Arrow radioed.

"Only a few glimpses from security cameras and Cisco was right. Our guy definitely has wings, and he is moving." Felicity reported when she saw the tracking data. "Hang on. They stopped at a building. 57th Street Tower."

"I'm right near there." Green Arrow replied.

"Barry, close in from the south. Diana, from the north. I'll come in from the east and we'll box him in." Impulse told them and they acted accordingly.

"I've got eyes on him." Green Arrow reported as he sped down the road. He pressed a button on his motorcycle, turning on the auto-drive as he removed his bow and pulled out two arrows. He fired both at once and the winged man avoided them, so he fired a few more arrows before firing a special containment arrow Naruto had made. When it was close enough the arrowhead exploded and released a large titanium net. The winged man was caught off guard and too close to fly out of the way, so he was snared. One of his wings was wrapped up so he stopped flying and crashed onto the street.

Green Arrow retook control of his motorcycle and drifted to a stop, quickly drawing another arrow from his quiver. The winged man ripped himself free of the titanium net, showing off some increased strength before he pulled out a spiked mace from his back. Green Arrow released his arrow, and the winged man knocked it aside with his weapon before jumping up into the air. His wings extended allowing him to close the distance faster and he came down with an overhead swing, but Impulse raced by and grabbed Green Arrow, so the winged man's mace smashed into the pavement of the street. He pulled his mace out when a golden glowing rope wrapped itself around him from behind and pulled him up into the air before being thrown into a car.

The golden lasso recoiled back into Wonder Woman's grasp as the man pulled himself out of the car. "Return the girl." She told him.

"I'm not gonna do that, Xena." He replied before throwing his mace which she dodged with ease. He closed the distance and attacked with some quick strikes and kick combination, but Wonder Woman parried and blocked them all. She punched him in the face and then blocked his clinch and knee to her stomach before kicking him in the abdomen. He stumbled back into Impulse who kicked out his left leg, grabbed him by the right arm and threw him to the ground. That's when Flash came by and threw a lightning bolt at their adversary, electrocuting him until he was rendered unconscious.

"That was easy. I hope all our encounters go like that in the future." Flash hoped.

"We keep working together then that's guaranteed." Impulse told him as Wonder Woman used her lasso to tie him up. "You sure that will hold him?"

"Hold him and get us some answers. The Lasso of Hestia was blessed by the gods to get through the untruthful nature of man. No one can break free of its grasp or lie when they are ensnared." She told them.

"Good. Maybe now we can get some answers." Green Arrow stated.

An hour later…

Naruto, Oliver, Barry, Diana, and the others were gathered in the bunker as Kendra's mystery abductor began to wake up. He tried to move but he was restrained to a support beam by Diana's lasso, and he wasn't going anywhere.

"Where is she?" He demanded to know.

"What's your name?" Oliver asked.

"You're putting her in danger, and I'm the only one capable of saving her." He stated.

"You have a very interesting perspective on the what the word saving means." Thea pointed out.

"She's the love of my life, sweetheart. I was not gonna hurt her. You need to let me go." The man demanded as Diana pulled on the lasso, so it tightened.

"You're not going anywhere until we get some answers so let's start simple. Who are you?" Naruto asked him and the lasso began to glow brighter. The man didn't want to answer but began to feel pain when he didn't.

"My name is Carter Hall…in this life but that is not who I really am. I'm Prince…ugh…Prince Khufu." Carter said as he looked at the lasso. "What is this?"

"The Lasso of Hestia compels you to tell the truth and it is pointless and painful to resist. Why are you after Kendra?" Diana asked him and he grit his teeth, trying to push past the pain as he tried to lie but it didn't work.

"I'm trying to protect her." He answered and Diana nodded to the others, which is when Kendra stepped out. "Chay-Ara."

"My name is Kendra Saunders." Kendra corrected him.

"In this lifetime. You were Priestess Chay-Ara, and I was Prince Khufu, and we're lovers. Soulmates. We have been for 4,000 years since ancient Egypt. We're drawn to each other in each life, and after we die, we reincarnate to find each other again and again and again. And now that I've found you, we should really get out of here." Carter said, trying to get free.

"Ok, Romeo, why don't you pump the brakes?" Cisco told him.

"These people cannot protect you from Savage any longer." Carter told her.

"You know who Vandal Savage is?" Oliver asked and Carter nodded.

"In every lifetime, he hunts us down and kills us. He's done it 206 times, and I'm not planning to make it 207." Carter said.

"Why does he kill you?" Diggle asked.

"His life force is tethered to ours. Every time he kills us, he becomes more powerful. You do the math." Carter answered.

"You're 0 for 206, and you still think you're here best bet, hmm?" Cisco pointed out.

"Cisco's right. That's literally the definition of insanity if you think doing the exact same thing over and over again will work." Naruto added. "Ok, so now we know what is going on, question still is how we stop Savage."

"Well, you can't stop Savage." Carter told him.

"Yeah, watch us." Barry countered as Naruto got him to cool down.

"Easy, Barry and you take it easy too, bird boy. Remember you've died 206 times, and we were able to take you down. You're not exactly in a position to act all superior." Naruto pointed out. "Ok, at the very least this fills in some gaps and Carter is telling the truth which means that Kendra should be able to do what Carter does, right?"

"Yup. Once we're old enough our memories start to resurface, and our powers reemerge. It's been happening this way for the past 4,000 years." Carter told him.

"Ok, so if Carter has emerged then Kendra should but she's not but according to Cisco's Vibes she should be able to." Naruto theorized.

"That could by why Savage is going after her, he senses she's the weaker of the two." Diana suggested.

"If Savage is tied to Carter and Kendra then that means they are our best bet at stopping him." Naruto turned to Carter. "Can you get her to emerge?"

"I can." Carter then looked at Kendra. "Please, just let me show you how."

Naruto and Oliver shared the same look before they nodded to Diana who removed the lasso from Carter. "Hurry." Oliver told him and Carter nodded.

"I can't believe this is what our lives have become." Linda muttered

Oliver, Barry, and Cisco went with Carter to help Kendra emerge. All of this craziness was still hard to believe but Carter was telling the truth and if they were going to stop Savage then Kendra needed to own up to who she really was. The others stayed in the bunker to try and find Savage. They hadn't picked him up in Star City, but they needed to keep their eyes open. If Savage was after Kendra and Carter, then he'd show his face again. Diana changed out of her armor into some casual clothes which were boots, brown pants, a grey t-shirt and jacket. She was making some coffee at the rest area in the bunker when Naruto and Linda walked over to do the same but couldn't see to find the pods."

"I think Oliver keeps the coffee pods over here." Naruto walked over to the cabinet and pulled out a box.

"How did you know?" Diana asked as Naruto put some into the coffee machine.

"I could say it's because I designed this place, but I honestly just guessed." Naruto quipped and Diana chuckled.

"So, you've been waiting since World War 1 to see us again." Linda pointed out.

"Actually, we've met before now but again I cannot tell you." Diana told them.

"Right, time travel. I just still can't believe I go through with it knowing the dangers of it." Naruto admitted.

"Again, I can't say much, and you didn't tell me much to begin with but whatever reason you and the others were doing what you were doing was important." Diana assured him.

"Ok, enough about that time travel before we cause a paradox." Linda suggested it and they agreed. "Um, so what have you been doing all these years?"

"Many things. Primarily exploring the world of man and helping where I can. I've made some friends along the way who have helped with that." Diana told her as they sat down at a table to talk. "But recently I've been working at the Louvre museum in Paris specializing in restorations."

"I'm guessing Greek restorations." Linda said and Diana chuckled.

"I imagine no one knows more about Green history than you do." Naruto remarked and Diana chuckled. "I'm guessing it must have been one big culture shock if the Amazons haven't interacted with the rest of the world since ancient Greece. Did you know English?"

"I did and still do. I know many languages so that wasn't the issue. The complexities, intricacies, and new societal norms were something that took much for me to get accustomed to but luckily, I had some help from…from some very good friends." Diana's voice fluctuated as she remembered the friends she had made and had loss over the years.

"I'm sorry, Diana. That couldn't have been easy. You've been alone for so long." Naruto said to her before he got up and poured them each a cup of coffee.

"What about your home? Themyscira? Why didn't you go back?" Linda wondered and they saw this was a tender spot for her.

"The night I left the island, I did it because I made a decision. A great war was being waged, countless lives lost…and my mother, the Queen…she wanted to do nothing. She was content to stay on Themyscira and ignore the problems of the world of man, but I couldn't. I couldn't sit back and standby while innocent lives were lost. If no one else had defended them than I had to. I'm willing to fight for those that cannot fight for themselves like they once did. If I had stayed…I could not live with myself knowing what was really happening out in the world of man. So, I left…and I can never return." Diana recounted, taking the cup of coffee Naruto handed to her. Naruto handed one to Linda and took the last one for himself and sat back down. "My mother said I was her greatest joy but that moment I became her greatest sorrow."

Linda reached over and held Diana's hand in comfort and Naruto did the same with her other one. After being alone for so long it was a nice feeling to be surrounded by friends. New to Naruto and Linda but old to Diana. She reached up and wiped away a tear from her eyes and regained her composure. "I know it may not mean as much as being back home on Themyscira, but you don't have to worry about being alone from now on. All of us have become a pseudo-family here and our members are only going to continue to grow." Linda assured her. "And with Naruto owning a billion-dollar tech company then visiting you in Paris should be easy."

"I have been thinking of expanding STAR labs internationally and Paris seems like a great city to start with." Naruto suggested and Diana chuckled. "You won't have to worry about being alone anymore. You have friends to talk to now. Heroes like us have to stick together."

"You said that to me before." Diana remarked.

"It's easy when it's the truth." Naruto promised when he felt his smartwatch buzz with a call from Jiraiya. "Hey, Jiraiya. What is it?"

"Hey, kid. I think your mystery man struck again in Central City."

That earned some raised eyebrows from Linda and Diana. "What makes you say that? We're not in Central City." Naruto pointed out.

"Detective West said that the CCPD were called about a robbery at St. Mark's church downtown. Someone broke in to take something only the church's bishop was there that night setting up for an evening mass. Killed with a knife that matches the one the guy used at Iron Heights and at the docks. It's the same guy." Jiraiya told him. "One of the priests working at the church said he broke into a sealed casket and removed a staff, part of one at least. You any close to stopping this guy?"

"We're working on it. Thanks for letting me know." Naruto hung up and walked over to the computers followed by Linda and Diana. "Felicity, bring up everything you have on St. Mark's church in Central City. Diggle, call Oliver and get him and the others back here. I think we have a lead."

Diggle nodded and made the call as Felicity brought up everything on the church including the police file and information on the robbery. "What's going on?" Thea asked.

"Savage just appeared back in Central City. He killed a bishop at St. Mark's church and stole something." Naruto answered as Felicity tried to find out what, but it was taking a little longer. Religions don't exactly keep digital databases on the contents of their parishes/churches for public viewing. "Think you can find out what he stole?"

"I can but I'll just need to find a legal record of it. Even with the tax exemptions the church's would need to keep legal documents for everything they receive. Any idea on what he took?" Felicity asked.

"Some kind of staff. Or part of one." Naruto told her as she managed to find the law firm that the church used, which kept records of everything going on which included an index of all items in said church. "Ok, now look for anything staff or staff-related."

"One second…" Felicity did a quick search parameters adjustment to find what they were looking for until there was only one item the church had in its inventory. It was a tall golden staff with a bird on the top pommel about 68inches in height. The photo taken of the staff showed that the staff seemed to be broken into two halves with the bird-head half being at the church in Central City. The second they made that discovery, Oliver, Barry, Cisco, Kendra, and Carter had arrived.

"You need to check Central City for something. I think there was a reason Kendra was drawn to Central City." Oliver told them.

"Way ahead of you and I think we found it." Naruto told him as Felicity brought up the church's information on the staff. "Jiraiya called saying that Savage had returned to Central City and killed a Church's bishop before taking something. The Staff of Horus, or at least half of it."

"The Staff of Horus?" Carter asked for clarification.

"Yeah, what is it?" Naruto questioned.

"The Staff of Horus, a relic from our past. It's an ancient and powerful weapon. If Savage gets his hands on it, it's gonna be nearly impossible to stop him." Carter told them.

"Well, half of the staff was in Central City this whole time. It was consecrated eight months ago at St. Mark's." Felicity informed them.

"Two months before Kendra showed up. She said she was drawn there so now we know why. You said only half?" Barry asked.

"Yeah, according to the files it belonged to a museum but was in two pieces. The top half with the effigy of Horus was moved to Central City and the other half was consecrated to its sister church in…Gotham City." Felicity replied.

"We've got to get it before Savage does." Diana stated.

"The Quinjet can get us there in 20 minutes if I push her to maximum speed. I'll call Batman and give him the heads up. Maybe he can get to it before Savage does. Felicity send everything to Gideon, and she'll take care of the rest." Naruto said to her, and she nodded. Barry walked over to Kendra to give her a few words of advice.

"Kendra, last year, I lost my powers. The only way I could get them back is if I just forgot about everything happening around me and focused on who I was. Just believe in yourself, and your true self will emerge."

"Thanks." Kendra replied while Felicity reached out and held Oliver's hand.

"Hey, are you sure that you want to do this? If this guy's immortal and Carter's right about how powerful this staff is…"

Oliver looked over at Naruto, Barry, and Diana. "I won't be alone." Oliver assured her.

"We'll be fine. Kiss her." Barry said to Oliver, and he gave her a goodbye kiss. Naruto did the same, giving Linda a goodbye kiss before looking at Barry, Oliver, and Diana.

"All right, heroes. Suit up and let's go." Naruto said and they nodded.

Gotham City

True to Naruto's word, the STAR labs quinjet managed to get them to Gotham City in about 20 minutes. Granted, he had to max out the jet's thrusters and engines while taking away some power from some of the secondary systems, but they made it. The Quinjet hovered up high over Gotham City before the back ramp opened and out walked Impulse, Flash, Wonder Woman, and Green Arrow. Impulse, Flash, and Wonder Woman jumped out of the Quinjet while Green Arrow attached a grapple line to his bow much like a grapple arrow and jumped with the grapple line slowing his descent. Wonder Woman hovered to the ground with her flight while Impulse and Flash spun their arms at super speed, so their wind funnels slowed their descent until they landed on the roof of a neighboring building to the church where someone was waiting for them.

The black and grey armored suit with the matching cowl and the flowing black cape was the signature of the Batman. Flash was having a little bit of a fanboy moment at seeing the Batman in person, who he should say was much more muscular than he thought, definitely bigger than Green Arrow not that he would say that outloud. The second Flash touched down on the roof he wanted to go over and introduce himself, but Impulse stopped him. "Focus on the problem at hand, Flash. Fanboy later." He told him.

"Right, sorry." Flash apologized and Impulse walked over to Batman while Wonder Woman and Green Arrow joined them.

"Thanks for the assist, Batman." Impulse told him and Batman didn't reply as he was using his binoculars to get a look at the church. "What's the situation?"

"Not much. I got here a minute before you showed up. Had to deal with Riddler before I got here. No sign of anything out of the ordinary." Batman informed him, letting Impulse take a look for himself. Flash was going giddy hearing Batman's voice changer but quickly focused back at the task at hand.

"Maybe we beat Savage here first?" Flash suggested.

"I wouldn't say that until we have the Staff in hand." Wonder Woman told him.

"Wonder Woman meet Batman, Batman meet Wonder Woman. He's not much of a people person so don't get offended." Impulse told her before lenses on his cowl came down over his eyes. Batman's cowl did the same and he used his detective mode vision while Impulse's HUD scanned the church. "I'm not getting anything."

"Me neither." Batman added.

"All right, let's get this over with then." Green Arrow fired a grapple arrow and swung down off the rooftop with Batman following him but using his grapple gun. Wonder Woman just jumped while the two speedsters sped down. They entered the church and things seemed fine. "Where do you think we'll find the staff?"

"If it was consecrated it'd be entombed in something…" Flash looked around.

"Like that." Wonder Woman pointed to the large stone altar in front of the stain glass window but there was a problem. The problem was that it was cracked, and the top was partially opened.

"We're too late." Flash said.

"Something you're not used to saying very often, I'd imagine." They heard as Savage stepped out into view from the shadows holding the Staff of Horus in one hand and his special Amon Dagger in the other. The staff was put back together with no seem from where it was broken and Savage had beaten them to it, somehow not being detected by Batman or Impulse's tech. Green Arrow drew back an arrow, Batman readied some batarangs and Wonder Woman unsheathed her sword. "Those weapons will do you no better than others have done before. You'll just be wasting your time."

"We'll see about that." Batman warned him.

"It's over, Savage. You're gonna leave Kendra alone." Flash told him.

"I can't do that. While my destiny is to live forever, Chay-Ara's is to die, as is yours now." Savage told them.

"Unfortunately for you I have a habit of circumventing the rules of destiny and your time of terrorizing Kendra and countless others is over." Impulse warned him.

"You cannot stop a god!" Savage slammed the staff to the ground and the bird effigy on the top glowed blue before firing a blue energy beam similar to the one from his dagger. The two speedsters super sped out of the way while Wonder Woman, Batman, and Green Arrow dove to the side to dodge. The blue energy beam hit the spot where they were, and it vaporized the ground. Batman hurled explosive batarangs and Green Arrow fired an explosive arrow but the second they got close to Savage they impacted a blue energy field projected from the staff which protected him. The weapons exploded harmlessly on the shield and kept him safe so Savage could keep blasting at them with the staff but soon added on the dagger to mix things up. Flash and Impulse ran at Savage from opposite directions to grab the staff. With their speed they were able to move in before he could react with him focused on the others but as they reached their hands out to grab the Staff of Horus it released an energy shield much like the one around Savage and blasted them back.

The two speedsters crashed into some church benches which made them perfect targets for Savage. Savage aimed the staff at Flash and dagger at Impulse, sending blue beams of energy at both but they were saved at the last second. Wonder Woman's lasso wrapped itself around Flash's left arm and pulled him out of the way while Batman did the same with his grappling gun. Green Arrow fired a more powerful explosive arrow at Savage, but the staff's shield protected him like before. He quickly jumped over a church bench for cover as Savage tried to blast him. He then popped back up and shot an arrow near Savage's feet which quickly expelled a thick black smoke. Several batarangs were thrown next to it and either exploded into thick smoke or bright flashes of blinding light that temporarily blinded Savage.

The heroes crouched behind the church benches and stone pillars for a quick respite. "Anyone have any ideas?" Flash wondered.

"Would help if I knew more about him." Batman stated.

"Savage is driven by nothing but his own pure lust for power and the pursuit of more. He believes himself to be a god and has walked the earth for thousands of years. Nothing will satiate his desires." Wonder Woman told him.

"Basically, an immortal ego-driven madman." Impulse put it into simpler terms when he got an idea. "And he's got some past experience with me. I get under his skin, so we use that."

"Keep him distracted and focused on you while we try to get the staff." Batman suggested and Impulse nodded.

"Think you can get his attention?" Green Arrow asked.

"Definitely. I know how to annoy people." Impulse smirked as he began to race around the church at super speed. Savage saw him and fired an energy beam from the staff but missed, destroying a church bench. "Oh, close but not close enough. You really need to work on your aim there, Savage."

"RAH!" Savage fired another blast, but Impulse sped out of the way again and was lazily leaning against a pillar.

"Second times the charm doesn't seem to work here. Want to try for a lucky third time?"

"DIE!" Savage fired another beam from the staff but crossed it with a beam from his dagger. The two beams crossed one another as Impulse ran forward at super speed. He jumped off a church bent and twisted his body in the air to avoid the energy beams before landing on his knees and sliding forward.

"And strike you're out!" Impulse then picked up the broken pieces of furniture off the ground and hurled them at super speed at Savage. Acting like a machine gun, the pieces of wood and concrete shot through the air like bullets but all of them shattered against the shield the staff made. Savage fired an energy beam from his dagger making Impulse run but Savage kept the energy beam going continuously dragging it after the speedster all over the Church.

The quiet twang of Green Arrow's bow was heard before three arrows came at Savage from the left. Savage turned and blasted them with the staff before firing another blast up on the second-floor balcony. Green Arrow ran out of the way and fired a few more arrows during his escape when the Flash ran at him from behind to get the staff but the second, he touched the metal it emitted an energy field that sent him flying back. Flash crashed into the stone altar, but before Savage could blast him several batarangs were thrown at him and exploded in flashes of bright light. The flashbang batarangs concussed him momentarily which allowed Wonder Woman's lasso, Batman's grappling gun, and Green Arrow's grappling arrow to wrap around the staff. The three pulled but the Staff created another energy field that set it free.

"I'll commend you all for your resilience and dedication, but this ends now!" Savage raised the staff of Horus up high as energy gathered around the effigy at the top but then he suddenly stopped like he sensed something. "Chay-Ara. I used to enjoy slow deaths. Now I just find them boring."

Savage raised the staff and slammed it down on the ground. "GET OUT!" Impulse shouted, grabbing Batman and Wonder Woman while Flash grabbed Green Arrow and the two speedsters pulled them out of the church before it exploded and went up in flames.

"Thanks." Wonder Woman said as Impulse helped her and Batman up back up. They all looked over at the burning wreck of the church and saw no sign of Savage.

"Any chance he blew himself up in there?" Flash wondered.

"Not likely." Green Arrow replied.

"Savage stopped for a reason. Kendra must have emerged." Impulse said when he saw Batman looking at him.

"What is going on, Impulse?"

"That's gonna take a while to explain and that depends if you can help us? We could use the Batman's help on this." Impulse hoped.

"Start from the beginning and I mean the beginning." Batman told him.

"Yes!" Flash cheered and they looked at him funny. "It's just…with the Batman here, I know we have a shot at this."

"Yeah, but not here. If this is gonna work, we're gonna make Savage play on our terms and chase us. We're heading back to Central City. I've got a plan." Impusle stated.

"You do?" Wonder Woman asked.

"Well, the beginning of one." He admitted.

Back with the others…

Back in Star City everyone else was gathered in the bunker after Kendra's emergence and regaining of her powers. Diggle walked in after a phone call. "That was Oliver. Savage has the Staff of Horus. He said that Naruto wants us all in Central City as soon as possible."

"Ok, well Laurel's already there visiting her mom, so I'll call her and let her know we're coming by." Thea said.

"Why are we going back to Central City?" Kendra wondered.

"So, we can end this. And if anybody can figure out a plan to stop Savage it's gonna be Naruto. He wants us there for a reason." Cisco assured her.

"Plus, you've emerged. It's going to be much harder for him now and together, all of us, we can take him down once and for all." Carter added.

"Ok, so how are we gonna get there?" Roy asked when Linda's smart watch beeped.

"Naruto's sending a quinjet to get us. It'll be here in an hour." Linda answered. "Perks of him being a super genius with a billion-dollar company."

"Amen to that." Felicity praised.

Central City, Jitters

Naruto, Oliver, and Barry were in line at Jitters to get some coffee before they would meet the others. That's when Oliver noticed one of the advertisements were for a Jitters special called the Flash. One brew coffee with a shot of espresso. "Since when is that a thing?" Oliver wondered.

"About eight months. Maybe if you save Star city, you might get one too." Barry quipped.

"Don't even get me started on that. No love for Impulse here. Not so much as a freaking pastry named after me." Naruto remarked and the others chuckled when a 9-year-old kid knocked into them by accident and dropped his Flash action figure.

"Oh. Watch yourself buddy." Oliver picked up the Flash action figure and chuckled before handing it over.

"Thanks, Mister."

"Yeah."

They watched the kid walk over to his mom which is when Oliver got a look at her. He recognized her instantly and seeing her with her son who happened to be 9 made things click in Oliver's head that he didn't think were possible. Barry and Naruto noticed his look and they were curious as to what was going on. Naruto, with his super genius brain began to think it over faster and came to the most likely scenario given the factors he noticed. Oliver's reaction at the woman and her son, the small unique characteristics the kid had that kind of matched up with Oliver and Oliver's past history as a raucous playboy made it click for him in a manner of seconds.

"Oh…OH!" Naruto went wide-eyed when he realized what was going on. "Oh, this is gonna get complicated."

Outskirts of Central City

The group were all heading to the same place on the outskirts of Central City in the surrounding hill country. They first had stopped by STAR labs to pick up some equipment and picked up Laurel as well from her mother's but to everyone's surprise they didn't return to STAR labs. Naruto was being quiet on what was going on, but he told them they were heading someplace safe. Batman would join them later after he ensured things were set in Gotham and he was able to confirm that Savage was gone.

Kendra was in the back of one of the vans and seemed to be in a daze when she suddenly came too like she was having a vision. "You, ok?" Carter asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just have a headache."

"Are you sure? Usually, that's a sign of your memories returning." Carter told her.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I can't remember anything yet." Kendra said but she wasn't very convincing. "Where are we going?"

"I've got no idea." Diggle replied, driving said van and following the car in front of them with Caitlin in the shotgun seat. They had pulled off the main road about ten minutes ago and seemed to be going nowhere. That was until they drove out of the forest and arrived at a massive complex. Long driveways, a massive fountain in the front with hedgerows and plants that needed tending too. It resembled the Cincinnati Union Terminal which was a huge intercity train station and museum in Ohio. It had Art Deco design as the main inspiration for the massive museum-like main space, two large columns flanking the main entrance and various smaller buildings attached to the main one. "Whoa…what is this place?"

"I have no idea." Caitlin replied as they kept following the lead car which stopped out front.

Naruto got out of the lead car's driver seat with Linda, Barry, Oliver, Felicity, and Diana while Diggle, Thea, Roy, Laurel, Caitlin, Cisco, Kendra and Carter got out of the second vehicle. They all got out of the car and grabbed their bags and crates of gear.

"What is this place?" Thea asked.

"It's an old STAR labs research facility/hangar. Place went belly up a few years ago but Thawne kept ownership which transferred to me along with STAR labs in his will. Due to a paper filing error, this place technically doesn't appear on paper, and no one knows it exists which makes it the perfect place for us." Naruto answered.

"Impressive." Diana praised.

"Well, given the increasing frequency of us heroes teaming up I felt that we needed a secure place we could meet in case things go bad that's not too close to the city. A secure location that's not a public landmark like STAR labs or in the city like the bunker. Savage only let us life because he felt Kendra start to emerge as Hawkgirl and went after her. He can sense her and Carter's presence so staying out of the city limits makes it harder for him and gets us away from civilians." Naruto said as he led everyone to the building.

"Bet you're wishing you stayed at your mother's now huh?" Diggle quipped to Laurel.

"Mmm-hmm."

Naruto walked over to the main set of doors all of which were chained except for two. He typed a few commands on his watch and placed his hand on the handle which matched his handprint before a small laser scanner came out of the wall above the door and scanned him.

"Recognize. Impulse, 01." Gideon spoke before the light scanned over the others.

"Recognized. Flash, 02. Green Arrow, 03. Wonder Woman 05. Doctor Light, 06. Spartan, 07. Black Canary, 08. Arsenal, 09. Speedy, 10. Overwatch, 11. Cisco Ramon, 12. Caitlin Snow, 13. Kendra Saunders, 14. Carter Hall, 15." Gideon announced before a loud audible click was heard and the doors opened.

"Thanks, Gideon. Turn on the power system and get things up and running." Naruto told her.

"Of course."

Once they walked in, they went from impressed to unimpressed pretty quickly as the interior of the place looked rundown. Dust sheets were placed over furniture or equipment which didn't help as dusk literally caked everything and the place looked abandoned for years like Naruto said it was. It needed seriously cleaning and remodel, but Naruto didn't have them linger in the main area which was massive with a huge open floor plan like a train terminal. They kept walking, ignoring the dust and spider webs until they arrived at some large doors which led them into a massive hangar. That wasn't like the rest of the complex for two reasons. One, it was clean. Two, it had been updated with the power on. The hangar has large wooden construction/storage crates all over the place and it seemed like it was half complete and furnished but operational. At the far end by the hangar doors was another Quinjet parked. Massive computer monitors with a matching complex and powerful computer system were set up on the left side near an armory, laboratory setup and medical station. On the right side were display cases for suits much like the ones in the Bunker in Star City and in the middle was a tarp covered table.

"Oh my god…I'm in heaven." Barry muttered.

"Naruto, what is this place?" Oliver asked him.

"A surprise." He smirked, seeing the shocked looks on everyone's faces as a reward for all his hard work. "Something I've been working on since I got back. I wanted to show all of you when it was fully ready. The hangar and the security system is all I got up and running as I have plans for the rest of the complex but given our situation with Savage this place will do just fine. It doesn't have an official designation as it technically doesn't exist anymore but I'm partial to calling it…The Hall of Justice."

"Ok, that is a dope name. This place is blowing my mind!" Cisco shouted.

"How much did all this cost?" Laurel wondered.

"You probably don't want to know that answer." Naruto admitted as he led everyone in. "But it was money well spent. When I'm done with it, this place will be the most advanced base on the entire planet and it's all for our use. One newly made and designed Quinjet ready for us with an expanded carrying capacity to accommodate more passengers. On the left you'll find a complex series of monitors connected to the most advanced computer system on the planet capable of computing and processing data at 100 trillion calculations a second. It's connected to STAR Labs, Queen Consolidated, and Palmer Tech satellites giving us unparalleled connection and protection. Along with it we have a comprehensive armory, laboratory set up for building whatever we need and a medical station."

"Wow…wow…wow!" Cisco shouted in glee as he ran over to check out the new toys. Caitlin went with him to check out the medical station and it was all top-notch equipment.

"Very, very impressive." Diana praised.

"Thank you. With everything here, we should be able to stop Savage and I've ensured that this place has the best anti-detection and magical warding I've got. If it can't keep Savage from finding you two at the very least, it should slow him down." Naruto said to Kendra and Carter.

"Thank you." Kendra said to him.

"What about these things over here?" Roy asked, pointing at the display cases.

"Ah, those are the cases holding your new suits. Took a while to finish them but they're ready." Naruto led them over so Oliver, Diggle, Laurel, Thea, and Roy could see their new suits.

They all looked amazing and were set up on mannequins. Oliver's new Green Arrow suit looked much like his current one, but the green was a shade brighter and it had sleeves instead of his current sleeveless design. Same with Diggle's Spartan suit as the design was pretty much the same though his jacket was more streamlined, but the biggest change was the helmet. Instead of the t-shaped visor of the current one, his new helmet had a more open-faced design with a new face shield for protection, greater field of view and identity concealment with light refraction/tinting. Arsenal and Speedy's suits were the same but looked more streamlined and more tints of black were added to better contrast with the darker red of the suits. Laurel's Black Canary suit was the one that got the biggest design overhaul with elegance in its return to simplicity. And it also mean a reduction in the amount of buckles. A bodysuit worn underneath a black leather jacket with dark yellow detailing and stripes on her sides, arms, and shoulders with fishnet material patched in on the jacket and the sleeves. Matching pants with similar dark yellow detailing, a utility belt around the waist, leg holsters for her police batons, thigh-high boots, and fingerless gloves alongside a larger domino mask for better coverage finished the ensemble for the new design for Black Canary. "These are amazing." Laurel said.

"Naruto, you've outdone yourself." Diggle praised.

"Eh, you say that now but, in a few years, I'll have something more, who knows." Naruto shrugged, pressing a few buttons on his watch made all their suits shrink down and retract into the STAR labs smart watches on the mannequins. "Put the watches on."

Naruto walked over to the lab to get the nanite neural transmitter while Oliver, Thea, Laurel, Diggle, and Roy walked over and put the smartwatches on. "So, how do these work?" Thea asked.

"One second…" Naruto walked over with the injector filled with a glowing metal liquid. "Not gonna lie. This is gonna hurt."

He injected Oliver in the neck first and judging by his face it definitely hurt. "Yeah…that hurt." Oliver groaned.

Diggle was next and despite being special forces his injection hurt. "Damn!" He rubbed his neck in pain.

"OW!" Roy grabbed his neck in pain.

"DAMMIT!" Thea shouted.

"SHIT!" Laurel cursed as she rubbed her neck in pain. "Was that really necessary?"

"Sorry but if it makes you feel better the others went through this too." Naruto pointed to Barry and Cisco.

"And it hurt like hell but totally worth it." Barry admitted.

"Ugh…what did you just do?" Oliver asked as Naruto turned his head and folded his right ear to show them the lightning bolt symbol that glowed faintly before vanishing. Barry did the same to show them he had one too.

"Subdermal neural transmitter for your new suits. It's tied to your mental commands so you think it then the suits can do it. Come on, come off, rearrange or whatever. Your suits are made of the same stuff mine and Barry's are, and this is how you control them. It'll make changing much quicker for you guys, and you won't need to return to the bunker or carry a bag with you everywhere you go." Naruto pointed out and they liked that idea alone. He checked his watch, and the synchronization was complete. "You're all set. Think your suits to come on."

They did and the same liquid metal-like nanotech Naruto and Barry's suits were made of came out of their smartwatches and formed their suits on their bodies. It wasn't just their suits as Oliver, Roy, and Thea had their bows and quivers appear on their backs and the rest of Roy's weapons were on his suit as well, same with Thea and her sword. Diggle got a brand-new gun and Laurel had a special new police baton and belt of other weapons. "Nice…" Oliver tested his new bow and pulled the string back. The tension felt good. "But how?"

"Nanotech liquid smart metal for the suits and for your gear you can thank shrinking technology for that." Naruto answered. "My travels through the multiverse had some fringe benefits including tech. Anytime you run out of arrows in the quiver, the suits will automatically refill them. You've got about five thousand arrows shrunk down and waiting for use, so you won't have to worry about running out anytime soon and they're a variety with some new ones for you guys to test out. Diggle, that new gun has a variety of features including multiple types of ammunition, fire rates, and can reform to go up a caliber. All magazines will appear on your left hip for whatever gun you need."

Diggle thought it and his pistol turned into a shotgun and then an assault rifle. "Nice." Diggle pulled the cocking hammer back and moved around a bit.

"And Laurel, you're police baton's been updated. The end's a 50,000-volt taser with a special battery built in so you can knock anyone out with that thing for a long time. Your Canary Cry is built into the collar of your suit so don't worry about that and there are some new sonic bombs in your belt." Naruto explained and she pressed the button on the handle causing the end to spark. She then pulled out one of the sonic bombs and it was similar in design to the old sonic bombs Sara used, only more advanced and smaller.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. And the material of those suits may be lightweight but don't worry. The material is damn near indestructible and resilient. They all come standard with a wrist computer on the left arm to keep you in touch with the bunker and Felicity, inbuilt cowl comm system, and a newly designed HUD which you guys can use to scope out environments and see things that you wouldn't normally be able to." Naruto said as Laurel tested it out. Lenses came down on her domino mask which filtered the view of the environment as she looked around with greater clarity. As she looked around at the others it highlighted them as all blue indicating they were friendly and projecting their heartbeats and vitals. "And it took a while but after my encounter with Darkh, I embedded in some magical rune protection for your suits which will protect you against his magic. I'm not sure how much so don't try and test it."

"Thank you, Naruto. Really. You didn't have to do this for us." Oliver told him and got a shrug in response.

"Eh, what's a few high-tech suits between family." Naruto smiled and the others liked that. They may have been a dysfunctional one, but they were a family.

"Just when I think you can't surprise me anymore. You never fail to amaze." Linda praised and Naruto smirked.

"Just trying to keep you on your toes." He gave Linda a quick kiss. "Ok, now that we're all settled, we can focus on the task at hand. Savage."

"Even if we find a way to stop him permanently, we need to find a way to neutralize Savage's advantage he got with the Staff of Horus." Oliver said.

"Well, it has some kind of energy field around it. I couldn't lay a finger on it." Barry added.

"Maybe wear mittens next time." Felicity suggested.

"What if we made some sort of insulated gauntlets?" Caitlin added to the idea when Cisco had something.

"Ooh, yeah, yeah. The magnetic shielding could disrupt the—"

"Staff's magnetic polarity." Felicity finished and the three got to work.

"While the geek squad words—"

"Heard that honey."

"While they work to get the staff away from Savage, we need to know everything we can about him." Oliver said.

"Well, I googled reincarnated nutjobs and came up with nothing." Thea remarked.

"Uh, Kendra and I would be the reincarnated nutjobs. Savage is merely immortal." Carter corrected her.

"Merely?" Laurel asked.

"Welcome to the new normal." Thea muttered.

"Anyone who has been around for 4,000 years has to have left a trail. I'll check with ARGUS. See if they have anything on him." Diggle offered.

"Thea, Laurel and I can check newspapers, media outlets and all the non-governmental databases." Linda suggested.

"All right." Naruto gave her a kiss on the cheek. "That leads us to the last part which is Kendra. With her abilities emerged we need to get her to learn how to use them. If Savage is tied to Kendra and Carter, then they could be the advantage we need to stop him."

"I'll handle her training." Carter assured him.

"All right. Diana, think you can lend a hand? You have more experience than all of us." Naruto pointed out.

"Of course." Diana nodded before she and Carter took Kendra out back to train. Naruto noticed Oliver head out, telling Felicity he wanted to check on something but didn't say what.

"And what exactly are you running down?" Felicity asked him as they walked down the hall towards the exit.

"Don't worry. It's nothing dangerous." Oliver assured her.

"Well, are you ok?"

"Well, we're up against an immortal madman armed with a magical staff so I have a few things on my mind." Oliver pointed out.

"Yeah, but you were acting fine with everything while we were home. And now that we're here in Central City it's like you've just been not you." Felicity pointed out.

"Just got a lot on his mind. We all do." They heard as Naruto walked over to them. "Felicity, do you mind if I speak to Oliver alone for a second?"

"Sure. I'll give you guys some time." Felicity kissed Oliver on the cheek leaving the two heroes alone.

"Whatever you plan on doing, Oliver, don't be an idiot and tell Felicity." Naruto said.

"Naruto, I appreciate everything, but this is personal so please stay out of it." Oliver told him.

"And normally, I would. Believe me, I'm not someone who pries into other relationships and inserts him but seriously, Oliver knowing you you're gonna do something stupid which is your track record so just rip the Band-Aid off and tell Felicity what has got you worried. If it's true, then you did the right thing by telling and if not then you got her worried for nothing." Naruto pointed out.

"You know?"

"It wasn't that hard to figure out given the look you had on your face. And honestly given your past making the tabloids and all your dalliances it's more of a given that it's a possibility." Naruto remarked. "Look, Oliver…you're my friend and I can't imagine what you're going through right now. But you and Felicity are making a life together and if you really want that to go uninterrupted and without issues than secrets are something you can't keep. There is no room for secrets in a relationship. Sure, she'll be shocked and a little freaked but how she'll react if you don't tell her will be even worse. So, sack up and do it. And if you need anything then just let me know. I'll tell the others you're busy."

Naruto patted him on the arm and headed back to the hangar leaving Felicity and Oliver to talk. Kendra walked around outside the Hall of Justice to clear her head when Cisco rushed over to talk to her.

"Hey. You must be going through a lot right now."

"Yeah. You know, we should talk." Kendra told him.

"Never in the history of romance have those words meant anything good." Cisco remarked.

"I just mean we should probably talk about everything that's happening." Kendra pointed out.

"You know what? I'm gonna suggest something radical here and say let's not talk. Look, you got a lot on your plate right now and I just don't want to be that piece of very nutritious broccoli that you scrape off the plate to give to the dog. My point being…I don't think you can afford to be distracted right now." Cisco told her. That's when Carter and Diana walked over with the former carrying a trunk.

"Let's go."

"Yes. Lets." Cisco agreed.

"Sorry, buddy. This is private." Carter told him.

"Private?"

"Sorry, Cisco." Diana apologized and he relented.

"Fine. I'm just gonna do some push-ups over there." Cisco said before he walked away.

"Open it." Carter pointed to the box he put on the ground.

"Why? What's inside?" Kendra asked.

"Something we have to track down in each of our incarnations. Sometimes I find it, something you find me, and we go look for it together. 4,000 years, 206 lives we've seen about every combination you can imagine." Carter undid the latches and motioned her to open it, so she did. Inside was armor and a bird-like cowl similar to Carter's. Kendra recognized it as the same suit and cowl she wore in the picture Diana showed them from 1918. Diana smiled fondly at the suit like seeing an old friend.

"I don't think I'm really—"

"Ready for this. You say that in every lifetime." Carter pointed out. "Look, as you emerge, as your memories come back to you so will other things. Skills, languages, pieces of your prior lives. Understand?"

"Understood." Kendra replied in Coptic. "Oh, this is nuts."

"It's ok. I'll help you through it." Carter promised.

"Yeah, well the last time you helped me I got pushed off a building." Kendra reminded him.

"Which is why Naruto had me come and help." Diana interjected. "I've been trained my entire life in the art of combat. The Amazons were feared in ancient times for their prowess in combat. I've been trained by the best fighters on Themyscira since I was a child. Everything I have learned in my journey I can now use to help you unlock your inner warrior and control your new abilities."

"It's different, Diana. You're an Amazon and I was a priestess." Kendra pointed out.

"The clergy were warriors. Warrior priests. And that is the side you need to remember." Carter told her.

"And if I can't?"

"Well, then we'll uh, both probably die. Again." Carter answered.

"You're conversational skills need work. Come Kendra. Let us begin." Diana brought her over to the side to begin her training. Carter may be her soul mate and know a lot but compared to Diana, he was a rank amateur when it came to combat. Diana noticed a lot during the training with Kendra. Kendra still had a hard time grappling with everything that had happened which is only natural. Clearly this life meant a lot to her but now learning that she had past lives and was the soul mate to Carter who she barely knew was throwing her for a loop. Kendra was purposely holding back like she didn't want to fully explore her abilities. Possibly in some deluded or misguided attempt to hold onto her old life and maybe in some belief that things could go back to normal but the time for that was long past. She could get her life back, but she needed to accept everything and decide after, not block herself off from unlocking her true potential before.

Naruto was working on the schematics and designs for the gauntlets to use to grab the staff when his smartwatch buzzed and saw it was Batman. "Hey, did you get anything?"

"Savage is likely already in Central City. Talia reached out and arranged a meeting with him as a mediator." Batman told him.

"Why would she do that? What interest does the League of Assassins have with Savage?" Naruto wondered.

"I don't know but she seems to think that negotiation is the only way out of our situation with Savage." Batman informed him.

"Wow, we must really be screwed." Naruto remarked. "All right, I'll tell the others but we're definitely not negotiating with him."

"It's a fact-finding mission. The more Savage talks the more we learn about him. Pilborn Warehouse, one hour. I'm on my way."

"Got it." Naruto hung up.

One hour later…

Green Arrow, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Impulse walked into the warehouse where Talia and several of her personal guard were waiting for them. "You came. Good. That means you have good sense." She remarked.

"Yeah, well since you asked so nicely. Please tell me we're not gonna negotiate with terrorists. Or, you know, 4000-year-old bad guys." Flash hoped.

"It's a fact-finding mission. The more we get Savage to talk the more we learn. Even something insignificant to him can give us some useful information and we can plan accordingly." Batman told him.

"Ever the optimist, beloved. An unfortunate if endearing quality I'm afraid you've clung too even after all these years." Talia remarked.

"Talia, why are you here? Why did you set up this meeting?" Impulse asked her.

"Call it a curtesy for what you have done for me and the League. When word reached us of Savage's return and your involvement, I felt it was only right to try and assist you. Despite Ms. Lance using your name and favor to resurrect her dead sister, which I was vehemently against, a debt of blood and honor is still owed to you." Talia said to him.

"So, the League knows about Vandal Savage?" Flash asked.

"The league knows next to nothing about Vandal Savage, Mr. Allen which is precisely why he was the only man my father was ever afraid of." Talia warned him.

"That's not the only reason Ra' Al Ghul had to fear me." They heard as Savage walked into the warehouse with the staff in hand. Flash was ready to race forward but Impulse stopped him when he saw Savage lift up the staff and the head began to glow a violent blue. "Ah, ah, ah. I would be careful there my fleet-footed friend. You and your friend may be faster than a speeding bullet, but the rest of your friends are not. With one thought I could destroy your city so do not tempt me. You should know better than that, Impulse."

"What do you want, Savage?" He asked him.

"What all living things want. Not to die." Savage answered.

"Then go retire to Hawaii. Besides, I thought that wasn't a problem for you." Flash pointed out.

"Only if I take the life force from Prince Khufu and Priestess Chay-Ara." Savage corrected. "The three of us are locked in a vicious circle played out over thousands of years. None of your concern."

"You made it our concern." Green Arrow pulled back an arrow to shoot Savage when Impulse lowered his bow.

"Don't bother." Impulse told him.

"At least one of you has enough sense. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised to see the kind of life you made for yourself, Naruto." Savage said. "A man of such great power and mind yet content with helping those lesser than him. But you have never known such true power as I have."

"Says the man who's afraid to die." Impulse remarked and they could see he hit a nerve. "You put on a big persona like you're a god but all you really are is a man who is afraid to die. An immortal who has fought in countless wars and battles but despite all that there is one thing he can't defeat and that is death which will come for him as it does for everyone. You're not special, Savage. Just someone who's too stubborn to die."

Savage just chuckled in response. "I will truly miss that snarky attitude when I crush your skull beneath my boot and set my time to learning everything about you. I do not fear death for death has no hold on me. I'm the enemy you cannot defeat. The only way for you and yours to live through this is to render unto me what is mine. Turn over Prince Khufu and Priestess Chay-Ara within 24 hours or I will lay waste to this city killing everyone that you hold dear. And after that, I will travel to all your homes and do the same there."

"That will not be happening, Savage." Wonder Woman told him, and he just laughed in response.

"Why would you risk the lives of your friends and family for the lives of two strangers? Two hundred and six times I have killed them. What hubris possesses you that makes you think you can prevent me from doing so again?" Savage wondered.

"Not hubris. Hope." Flash told him.

"I came to this meeting out of curiosity. It is now sated. Bring Khufu and Chay-Ara to Jurgens industrial in 24 hours or I will see you dead and buried under the bodies of your loved ones." Savage warned them before he touched the staff to the ground, projecting a bright flash of blue light that made the heroes cover their eyes. When it was over, he was gone.

"Well, I think that went about as expected." Impulse admitted.

"We're not giving up Kendra or Carter." Green Arrow stated.

"I don't see how you have my choice my old student. This is a cycle of destiny that has been playing out for the last 4,000 years. Even with all your skills I do not think you can stop it." Talia warned him.

"Savage may be immortal, but he isn't a God." Flash pointed out.

"No, but he's close enough. I've done my part in setting up this meeting and extending a lifeline. It is up to you what to do with it. Please beloved, perhaps use some tact and think before making a foolish decision." Talia said to Batman before she snapped her fingers, and her men began to head out. "I pray that we shall see each other again if by some miracle you all are still alive."

Talia left after that. "Charming." Wonder Woman remarked. "So, what is our plan?"

"You remember what he said about him, Kendra and Carter?" Impulse asked them.

"Yeah, kind of hard to miss." Flash quipped.

"The three of them locked in an endless cycle of death and reincarnation." Batman remembered as he and Impulse were on the same line of thought.

"What's the significance?" Green Arrow asked.

"His wording. Three of them locked in a vicious cycle that has played out for four thousands years. And it started in ancient Egypt. If Savage is linked to it…" Impulse hinted, and they understand what he was saying.

"Then Savage must have known them in Ancient Egypt." Wonder Woman deduced.

"That's our key. There's something in their first death that's the key to this." Impulse theorized.

Line Break xxxxx

The four heroes returned to the Hall of Justice to tell the others what was going on and it wasn't exactly the good news which they were expecting.

"24 hours." Oliver stated.

"Until what?" Kendra asked.

"Until we're supposed to hand you and Carter over to Savage or…"

"Savage lays waste to Central City." Carter finished. "We've been through this before. 1887, The Huang He flood. Savage killed nearly two million people to get to us. And he did."

"So that gives us 24 hours to come up with a workable plan and the key to that is your first life before all this started. That's the key and Savage is a part of that. If you two can remember what happened then, what happened to make you two reincarnate and give Savage his immortality then it could be the key to stopping this once and for all." Naruto suggested.

"I've never been able to remember that far back. Neither of us has." Carter admitted.

"Well, we have to try." Batman told them.

"No, this is insane. My life isn't worth millions of people's lives." Kendra stormed out of the hangar.

"Kendra! I'll talk to her." Carter went after her, but Cisco grabbed his jacket.

"Hey, I got this."

"I said I'll talk to her." Carter told him.

"Hey, here's an idea, why don't we just toss him over to Vandal Savage?" Cisco suggested, grumbling to himself before storming off. Diana saw this and walked over to him at the tech station.

"How are you doing, Cisco?" She wondered.

"Fine. Just working on a pair of anti-magic gloves I'm not even sure will work." He remarked.

"It's difficult, isn't it?" She asked. "Seeing Kendra with him."

"Yeah, well what am I supposed to do? He's her soulmate apparently." Cisco remarked.

"That may be true in their past lives but right now she doesn't believe so and it's affecting her." She said only Cisco looked at her confused. "Kendra is at war with herself. An inner turmoil so great it is inhibiting her training. The doubts she has now are holding her back and Carter's method is not working. If anything, he's just fueling the divide between who she is and what she wants. I think talking to you could help."

Cisco took a deep breath to find the right words and that were PG friendly. "Carter's a jerk, but he's supposed to be with her because destiny says they're supposed to be together, and he's supposed to be her soulmate. So, I'm not even sure what I could say."

"What we're doing right now is to stop that destiny from happening. Stopping her and Carter from dying again by Savage's hand as their supposed destiny would have them. What we're doing is about having Kendra accept who she really is. Carter only sees her for what she used to be or should become. The only one who can help her now is someone who sees her for what she is now…and is clearly in love with her." Diana told him. "Cisco, I haven't lived as long as Kendra and Carter, but I do know something about doomed love and to this day, I regret more of what I didn't say or do then what I did. Take it from someone who has been through this…and don't live with regret."

Her words had a profound effect on him as she turned to leave. "I don't know if we're at the L-word stage yet." He pointed out so she turned around and held up her lasso of truth. "I'll talk to her."

"Thank you."

Oliver pulled Naruto to the side so the two could speak in private. "I know with everything going on that—"

"Eh, stop. What do you have?" Naruto asked, so Oliver pulled out a napkin from his pocket with a piece of hair in it. He took it and then yanked a piece of hair out of Oliver's head. "I'll get to work on it."

"Thanks." Oliver replied as Naruto put the two pieces of hair in the DNA analyzer to run a comparison test. It would take a few minutes at most.

"Like I said, don't mention it. How'd she take it?" Naruto asked. Both of them looked over at Felicity who was talking with Laurel and Linda. She saw the two of them looking and gave Oliver a small smile which he returned in kind.

"Freaked out for sure and she rambled on like she usually does but…she was understanding. She was concerned as well, but we talked it over. Honestly, we'll only really be able to talk about this if we find out the truth." Oliver told him when they heard the analyzer beep before it printed out a small sheet of results.

"Well, you two have something to talk about. The Y chromosomes are a match." Naruto handed it to him so he could see it for himself. "You and Felicity take all the time you need to talk. We'll hold down the fort here."

"Thank you." Oliver was still processing the bombshell he just received. Naruto walked away and nodded to Felicity who walked over to Oliver. The two stepped out so they could talk in private. Caitlin was working on the anti-magic gauntlets with Barry and the others were doing what they could when Diggle returned. He had been absent from the meeting as Lyla's contact managed to track down a lead for them to use so he went to get it.

"What do you have?" Batman asked and Diggle held up an old Betamax tape.

"Wow, old school." Naruto remarked, quickly super speeding away and returning with a Betamax player. "Thank god Thawne was a packrat. Where'd you get it?"

"Lyla's contact came through." Diggle answered. Batman handed Naruto the tape and he hooked it all up to a monitor.

"The tape came from a conspiracy theory group that's interesting in Savage." Laurel said.

"This is all they have on Savage along with a CIA 1986 heavily redacted file on Savage." Diggle added as Naruto continued to get things set up. Thea went to get Carter, Kendra, and Cisco while Roy got Caitlin and Barry. "Where's Oliver and Felicity?"

"Handling something." Naruto answered, getting the setup finished. "Got it."

He hit play and they watched as a man appeared on tape wearing a three-piece academic suit. He had grey hair and glasses and was handling the Betamax recording camera like a testimonial. "Is this on? I hope so. My name is Dr. Aldus Boardman. I'm a professor at St. Roch University. The date is April 8th, 1975. I don't think anyone else knows this and those that do don't believe. He's a myth. An urban legend. He's been compared to Machiavelli and Nostradamus. He's gone by many names, but I know him as Vandal Savage, and he will be the death of the world. But I believe there is a way to stop him. Savage is an immortal Egyptian priest. His long life is the result of an unearthly calamity. I believe that any object associated with this calamity should be able to undo its effects and kill him. And I suspect that our precious fragile world may one day depend upon us doing so."

The video was cut out after that. "Well, that was foreboding." Linda remarked.

"You have any ideas what he meant by these objects? This calamity?" Diana asked Carter and Kendra.

"No, I-I don't recall a calamity." Carter answered.

"The staff…" Kendra said.

"The Staff of Horus?" Felicity asked.

"Yes. I think the staff belonged to Savage back in ancient Egypt." Kendra said.

"You remember?" Carter asked.

"A hunch." Kendra said but wasn't convincing Batman, Naruto, or Diana.

"We're trying to save your life, Ms. Saunders. Lying to us gets us nowhere." Batman warned her.

"He's right, Kendra. Whatever you think you remember you need to tell us. The more we know the more it could help us." Naruto added and she relented.

"I had a vision of our first life, I think. We were giving offerings to Horus to try and appease him. Something about celestial rocks, sky rocks. Savage was there and he was holding the Staff of Horus." Kendra told them.

"I've never been able to remember that far back. What else did you see?" Carter wondered.

"Nothing. Just that. Excuse me. I need some air." Kendra left to get some, and Carter went after her. Cisco watched but a comforting nod from Diana made him go after her as well.

"Ok, so if Savage had the Staff of Horus back then in ancient Egypt, then it would explain how's he's so good with it. It belonged to him. You think it did what it did back then?" Barry wondered.

"Well, if that's true than according to Professor Boardman the Staff could be used to end Savage's immortality." Caitlin suggested.

"Provided we can get it away from him in the first place. We tried that and it gave us nothing. It's energy shield protects it and I'm not sure if the gloves would work." Naruto said as he thought over what Professor Boardman said and what Kendra just informed them of. "Sky rocks…could they have meant meteorites?"

"The Middle kingdom era of ancient Egypt experienced a high level of meteorite activity, and the Egyptians were known to use the material in their craftsmanship. Perhaps they are the calamity Professor Boardman was talking about." Batman suggested so Naruto tapped his watch to get some more information.

"Gideon, bring up all the history of the middle kingdom period of Egypt." He said and she projected the information at super speed so he could speed read through it. "Ok, according to archaeologists and historians they believed that during the Middle Kingdom period it was possible that a great meteor shower destroyed part of the ruling kingdom. If this is the Calamity that Professor Boardman was talking about than the meteorites and the staff have to be connected."

"If the meteorites are what the staff is made up of then it could be the key to counteracting the staff and getting it away from Savage." Batman suggested. Seconds later Naruto super sped away and returned with a chunk of rock.

"Middle kingdom meteorite curtsey of the Keystone city Museum of Natural History. If our hunch is right this could be the key to our plan working." Naruto tossed it to Barry. "Let's get to work."

Naruto, Barry, Caitlin, and Batman worked on refining the meteorite into a compatible isotope which they could coat the gloves with. If Naruto and Batman's calculations were correct, this would make it so the staff saw the gloves as a similar item and not an external force like it must have when they attempted it from Savage before. Granted, this was all theoretical though Naruto's hunches were often good, and his super genius was working overtime on solving this problem. This one had the highest likelihood of success and thankfully their theories were sound as Cisco and Kendra returned with some good news. After some talking between the two where Cisco helped Kendra deal with some of the mental blocks, she was having she had a full vision of what happened during their first death. The calamity was the meteor shower and during it Savage made an oath/curse for his immortality while Kendra made a prayer to Horus for her and Carter's reincarnation. The meteor rocks glowed in proximity to one another adding onto Naruto's theory before about their connection as an advantage and also gave him a new idea to test. With it and Kendra's powers fully awakened they now had a viable plan.

"This is it. We have our plan. Everyone ready?" Naruto asked Batman, Oliver, Diana, Barry, Kendra, and Carter and got nods in response. "All right, suit up."

Line Break xxxxx

Green Arrow, Flash, and Impulse arrived in the warehouse. "Everyone in position?" Impulse radioed.

"Yup." Overwatch reported.

"Naruto, how sure are you of this plan?" Flash asked him.

"Sure enough." He replied in confidence, which was enough for him.

"All right, let's do this." Green Arrow said.

They led Kendra and Carter cuffed in chains into the warehouse. They kept walking until they saw Savage arrive. "You brought them. And dressed for the occasion, I see."

"We're only doing this because we have no choice." Impulse told him.

"In that case you are truly as wise as you are smart. There is no shame in admitting defeat when you have been outmaneuvered." Savage quipped before looking at Kendra and Carter. "It's been a lifetime. Still wearing those ridiculous outfits, I see. You don't need to be here for this. The culling has a tendency to be unsightly."

"Just do what you're gonna do." Carter told him only for Savage to look at Kendra.

"It's wonderful to see you again, my love."

"I will never be your love." Kendra said in defiance.

"I know…I know. Being immortal has given me much clarity on our relationship. I know that you will never love me as I love you…just as I know the true character of your friend…" Savage glanced over at Impulse. "…who would never let his friends be sacrificed!"

Savage created an energy shield around himself which protected him from the golden lasso of truth. He turned to see Wonder Woman standing behind him. "You thought you could deceive me!"

Savage pushed the energy field out and then fired an energy beam at her which knocked her back. "NOW!" Impulse shouted, racing forward and grabbing onto the staff before headbutting Savage and landing a vibrating punch to his stomach. Green Arrow shot him in the shoulder with an arrow and a batarangs hit him in the back, but Savage wasn't deterred and headbutted Impulse back before drawing his dagger and blasting him point blank in the chest with an energy beam. He flew through the air and crashed into some construction equipment in the warehouse while Savage spun around with his dagger, dragging the energy beam all around and causing the heroes to duck and scatter. Impulse's armor was brunt in the front but not destroyed. He had reinforced it to take the hit.

"I have been around long enough to learn your tricks, Impulse! You cannot fool me!" Savage pointed the staff at him, but nothing happened. That's when Savage saw the staff was covered in a grey-like metal that was inhibiting it's energy abilities. Naruto had another idea just in case they ran into a problem. Using his speed to do some quick experiments he theorized he might be able to neutralize the energy properties of the staff by creating an opposing, negative charge to the meteorite material. It would counteract the positive charge of the staff's gems and they would nullify one another. Granted it was a theory but one that seemed like a good idea to test so he made a sample and when he grabbed the staff and attacked Savage, he used his suit's nanotech to latch it onto the staff and cover it. And it seemed to be working if he wasn't getting blasted.

"What, you didn't think I'd have a few more tricks up my sleeve?! Carter, Kendra, now!"

Their chains came undone, and they sprouted their wings before flying forward, knocking Savage to the ground. The staff fell out of his hand to the side, but he tried to reach it only for Batman to swing down and kick him across the face. He and Green Arrow charged, fighting Savage hand to hand to distract him. Batman threw out a punch that was blocked only for Green Arrow to land a kick to his stomach. Savage then blocked a bow strike to the face allowing Batman to punch him in the side and then landed an uppercut before the two vigilantes kicked him in the stomach. Wonder Woman slammed her bracers together and the shockwave sent Savage crashing up into the ceiling.

Flash raced over and grabbed the Staff of Horus with the gloves coated in the meteorite material. The nanotech Impulse put on it quickly retreated into Flash's suit and the staff began to glow. "Get clear!" Flash shouted and the Staff of Horus fired a beam of energy at Savage who seemed to create a magical shield around himself to block it. The force did push him back, but he was protected for now. Green Arrow rushed over to help him stabilize the staff from the extreme force it was generating. "No, Oliver. Get yourself to safety!"

"I'm not leaving!" He told him as the energy feedback from the staff and Savage's shield began to get unstable. Arcs of energy shot out between the struggle as Savage managed to maneuver his dagger into the path of the beam to absorb the energy much like he did to Linda's light blast. That seemed to be working as it lessened the strain on him and his magical shield when a golden rope latched onto his dagger hand and pulled it out of the way. Savage turned and saw Impulse was using Wonder Woman's lasso to keep his dagger from absorbing the energy from the Staff of Horus.

"WE'RE NOT LEAVING!" Impulse shouted, pulling Savage's arm taut and working against his magically enhanced strength. Savage adjusted the aim of the dagger at Impulse, and it fired an energy beam at him only for Wonder Woman to block it with her bracers. Batman then got behind Impulse and pulled. Wonder Woman kept Impulse and Batman safe as they prevented Savage from using the dagger so the Staff of Horus could do its job. "ALMOST THERE!"

Green Arrow and Flash gave it all they got and soon the power became too much for Savage to take. The energy beam hit Savage and aged him into dust while the staff vanished in a flash of light. Impulse and Batman fell back when the lasso gave out but quickly got back to their feet. There was no body of Savage, just dust/ash remaining. Kendra and Carter rushed back over to see the results.

"Did we, do it? Did we stop Savage?" She asked.

"I think we did." Flash answered as all they saw was a large pile of dust.

"It's over." She breathed a sigh of relief.

"I knew you could do it." Carter told her.

"Just to be sure, I'll dump this in a volcano." Impulse pointed to the ashes, and they all agreed. "Well, this has definitely been a weird few days."

"I've seen weirder." Batman remarked as he walked away.

"Of course." Naruto muttered as the heroes left.

The next day…

Naruto was waiting outside the Hall of Justice for the others. They had said goodbye to Kendra and Carter who were heading out to ST. Wilkin. With Savage gone, the two now had their lives ahead of them but then again with what Naruto knew was gonna happen he had a feeling he'd see her again and somehow deal with Savage. Savage may be gone for now but according to Diana we time travel to help her deal with him in the past and give her information on him which she will later give to them so something was coming to make sure it wouldn't be a paradox. He had no idea what exactly but that would be a problem to worry about for the future. For now, Savage was gone, and their cities were safe. And luckily, Savage's ashes were resting in an active volcano so even if he did come back then it would take a while.

He saw a faint glow in the distance and Barry super sped over to him. "Hey."

"Hey." Naruto smiled. "How's Cisco?"

"Dealing. He definitely wants to go drinking tonight." Barry told him. "Naruto, I know we thought Savage was gone last night but if what Diana showed us about the photo and the time travel…"

"I know. He may be gone but for some reason we end up traveling in time to deal with him in the past. That's a problem for the future and I know more now than I did before when Diana first arrived so in actuality the retro-causality is playing out exactly as it should." Naruto pointed out.

"But what about after?" Barry wondered.

"That's for us to decide on how things end up. Isn't that the whole point of the future?" Naruto got philosophical and Barry chuckled when they heard the sound of engines. Oliver was driving up on his motorcycle, Diana in a rental car, and there was a Lamborghini joining them.

"By the way, what was going on with Oliver?"

"I may have helped him but that's his secret to tell. Sorry." Naruto answered and Barry nodded.

Oliver parked his bike and removed his helmet, Diana got out of her rental car in casual clothes, and Bruce Wayne got out of the Lamborghini. "Oh my god. Bruce Wayne is— "

Naruto covered Barry's mouth to stop him from freaking out. "Thanks for coming. Especially you, Bruce."

"What is it?" He asked.

"Well, with everything that's happened and the general craziness of our lives it probably won't be long before something crazier happens that brings us together again. We go work on our own and I'm not suggesting we all start patrolling together or live in a tower in New York but keeping in touch with each other so we can lend a hand when things get bad is a good idea." Naruto handed Oliver, Diana, and Bruce watches similar to the extra-dimensional communicator watches he's made but it wasn't the STAR labs logo on them. It was just a singular star inside a shield. "If something ever comes up than we have a way to stay in contact. They work anywhere on the planet. Still working on the range for the moon though. Consider them an early Christmas present."

"Thank you." Diana put hers on her wrist.

"There's something else, isn't there? You could have handed these to use before he left. Why did you want us here?" Oliver wondered.

"To show you guys something." Naruto led them into the Hall of Justice to the hangar. "Don't worry, if we come together again this place will be up and running full-time. Now that Barry knows about this place, we can get the work done twice as fast."

"What else do you have planned for this?" Diana wondered.

"A few things. VR training rooms, special laboratories and I'm sure Bruce has a few suggestions." Naruto said as they entered the hangar towards the clothed table which also had a container of Vibranium nanotech. "By the way, Bruce. Here."

Naruto tossed it to him, and he looked it over. "I figured you'd want to handle your own suit. I included the instructions and details on the tech plus a few adjustments I think you'll like."

Bruce nodded in thanks. "Is that it?"

"No, this is it. This is still a work in progress, but I've got enough done to show you guys." Naruto got to one end and grabbed the cloth. "During my time away, I spent some time on an earth similar to ours. With heroes…well, it's like looking into a mirror in some ways. That plus some advice from the future gave me the idea on this place and this is just to make it official."

He pulled the cloth off to reveal a large round black table with five chairs. In the center of the table was the same star and shield logo on the watches but it had the initials JL as well. Each of the five chairs had emblems on the back which were the symbols of the five heroes present. The Flash's yellow lightning bolt in a white circle, Green Arrow's green arrowhead, Batman's black bat symbol, Wonder Woman's two WW's, and Impulse's lightning bolt in a crimson circle.

"This is amazing!" Barry shouted gleefully like a kid on Christmas and even the stoic Oliver and Bruce were amazed.

"Well done, Naruto." Diana smiled as she stood behind her chair. Barry walked over to his, as did Oliver, and then Bruce before Naruto did the same.

"This is great." Oliver praised.

"A big round table with five chairs just for now." Naruto said.

"But room for more?" Bruce wondered and got a nod in response.

"But room for more." Naruto replied.

While it would be another year before the world knew they existed, this moment for the formation of a league of heroes would echo throughout the centuries. Their world was just going to get bigger and bigger.

Hey, everyone. Hope you enjoyed the chapter. The crossover set up for Legends is done and we've also had Naruto meet Vixen. Wonder Woman has arrived and Naruto has created the Hall of Justice and the foundations of the league have been planted. All of this will come into play as time goes on. With Naruto's existence, a lot has changed with the crossover but for the better. He helped Oliver handle his personal life and the sudden realization that he has a son better than in the show, and he's general intelligence prevented things from getting worse with Savage. And deal with Kendra's annoying attitude during the crossover when they're literally trying to protect her, and she keeps secrets. Diana will come back again and again as will Bruce. And Diana's past with the Legends will be revealed later and it won't be that one time they meet her. All will be revealed in time.
