Star 3: The Princess of Neptune

Gaia Prime(16 Years Ago)

The room was cold as he paced around the waiting area of the hospital. The 8 year old Prince of the Gaian empire couldn't sit still, not while his mother was in her hospital room having issues. His father had told him to stay out here and wait for him, but how could he just wait while his mother was trying to give birth to his new sibling.

He passed by a chair, where his friend Akari sat, crossing her arms, "Astra, all this pacing isn't going to do you any good, so just wait and relax." Prince Astra frowned, "How can I just relax Akari when my mom is in danger." Akari sighed, "Astra she's not in danger, your sibling just decided to come early so it's affecting her body. Now come sit down, Gaia Prime has the best medical technology in the universe, your mom won't die from giving birth."

Reluctantly, Astra sat down in a chair, frowning, "I don't want a sibling if it means losing my mom." Akari was about to say something when the doors opened, and out walked King Univeri, a smile on his face, "Astra come in here, there's someone we want to introduce you to." Astra gulped as he nodded, getting out of the chair and following his father into the hospital room.

There he saw his mother, several machines attached to her and slowly breathing. She was holding a blanket in her hands and she sat up and smiled at him, "Astra come here my son." Astra nodded and walked towards his mother's bed, seeing the blanket she was holding moving, "She's very fragile right now, but I want you to meet your little sister, Lia."

Astra looked down at the blanket, seeing the infant already wearing a breathing mask and taking slow, labored breaths. She was so small, so helpless, and he couldn't help but take note that she had barely opened her eyes. A small tuft of white hair on her head, but piercing white eyes stared at him.

Astra put a finger near her and somehow sensing it her tiny hand reached out, grabbing his finger. Looking at the tiny child, Astra smiled, this was his little sister, and to him she was the most important person in the universe at this moment, "Hello Lia, I'm Astra, I'm your big brother, and I'm going to be the best big brother I can possibly be to you."

It was that moment that all the thoughts of not wanting a sibling if it hurt his mother went away, replaced only by one desire. He would protect her, he would protect her no matter what, because that's what a big brother was supposed to do.

Japan(Present Day)

She let out a heavy breath as she swung her fist again, her opponent sidestepping her and sweeping her legs, knocking her down. She'd lost track of how many times she'd been knocked down while training but she'd keep getting up. Akari held out a hand to her, frowning as she helped her up, "Lia how many times are we going to do this today?"

Lia wiped the sweat from her forehead as she got ready to spar again, "Until you don't completely mop the floor with me." Noticing she was breathing heavily, Akari shook her head, "You're going to overdo it, and I don't want you to end up at the hospital. Let's stop for the day, there's something I need to look into anyway." Lia shook her head, "I need to prove to Astra I can get stronger."

Akari sighed, "Lia you can get stronger without physically getting stronger, Astra doesn't need you to be able to beat me into the ground." Lia swung at her, causing Akari to sidestep her again, causing the princess to fall down again. Akari raised an eyebrow at her as she struggled to get up, "I can still keep going." Before she could get up, the door to the garage opened, Astra entering, a quizzical look on his face, "And what seems to be going on here?"

Akari crossed her arms, "The princess is trying to overexert herself while training. We've been sparring for two hours and she's obviously worn out but keeps insisting on getting knocked down by me." Lia scowled at her, "I was just about to beat you, now come on let's go again before we have breakfast."

She struggled to get up, feeling more tired than she cared to admit, finding herself being helped up by her older brother, a blank look on his face, "You're obviously exhausted, go eat breakfast and rest Lia. I need Akari to work on something so she can't spar with you anymore." Lia shook her head, trying not to show how tired her body was, "I'm fine big brother, if she can't spar with me then why don't you?"

Astra frowned and put two fingers on her forehead, Lia backing down as it was his usual way of showing affection, "You've trained enough for today Little Star, you've earned a rest." Lia said nothing as he saw the look in his eyes, he was worried about her but didn't want to admit it himself, he was still the big bad ice prince of Gaia Prime, not just her brother.

Sighing reluctantly she nodded, "Fine, but Akari is going to train with me again tomorrow." The two watched her leave the garage, the group having been staying with the Ikari's for about a week now. Shin had been nice enough to open their home for them, and while Astra wasn't particularly a fan of it, it kept the boy from going off and talking about them being aliens, or what the humans would call aliens.

Astra wasn't interested in getting to know the boy, but he had his uses at least as they learned to navigate the Earth. Astra looked over at Akari, who was looking at him in confusion, "What is it Akari?" Akari frowned, "How long do you plan to allow her to push herself believing she needs to prove herself to you."

Astra crossed his arms, "Until she realizes I'm not the one she needs to prove herself to." Akari shook her head in disbelief, "You're being cryptic as usual, fine I'll trust that you know what you're doing. I assume you're here about the blueprints for that new Staruiser." Astra nodded, "According to Hositto it can be used as a new weapon for Cosmo-Jin, we need every bit of advantage we can get against the Terramis."

Akari smirked slightly, "Well it should be easy to build, now come on let's head over to the MarSaucer, before Lia drags me into training with her again." Astra nodded as the two left the garage, off to build the new weapon to give themselves an advantage in the battle against the Terramis.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Lia grunted in frustration as Akari shook her head, "What do you mean you won't train with me today? You had no problem with training with me yesterday." Akari frowned, "Two reasons, one, because you pushed yourself way too hard yesterday and I don't want you hurting yourself. Two, Astra has me developing a new Staruiser with Hositto so I can't train with you even if I wanted to."

Lia scowled, "Then what am I supposed to do? Astra refuses to train with me and you're working on this new project." Akari chuckled and patted her head, "You look like your brother with that scowl, and you could ask either of the other two but they might not go easy on you like I do."

She walked away as Lia sighed, as much as she preferred training with Akari, she may have to ask Haruki or Sho to spar with her. She walked towards the room where Haruki had been staying, sharing Shin's room with him. As she got near the door, Shin appeared behind her, "If you're about to knock I should warn you that Haruki is still asleep, he seems to like to sleep late."

Lia frowned, she wasn't going to be rude and wake him up then, he was her age, he probably needed all the rest he could get. She walked towards the kitchen, knowing that was where Sho had been spending most of his time, mostly to avoid being bossed around by Astra. She entered into the kitchen to find it a mess, food everywhere and it smelling burnt as Sho with a bandanna tied around his head looked over at her, "What do you want Princess?"

Lia scratched her cheek, "Uhhh are you busy?" Sho looked at her, holding a knife in one hand and some kind of vegetable she wasn't familiar with in another, "Nooooo I got nothing going one, why want to go grab a drink? Go see a movie? Ohhh I know we can gossip and exchange stories!" Lia blinked, "Oh I didn't want to do that, I just needed someone to train with."

Sho looked at her in confusion, "Princess do you not understand sarcasm? Even If I wasn't busy trying to learn how to cook Earth cuisine, I'm not training with you." Lia raised an eyebrow, "Why not? Do I really look that easy to beat?" Sho laughed for a moment, "You don't want me to answer that question. Besides I'm pretty sure if I even throw a punch at you, your guarddog of a brother would be on me so fast I'd be halfway to Saturn by the time I realized what was happening."

Lia frowned and exited the kitchen, nearly running into her brother, "Lia I thought I told you to relax today, but yet here you are asking everyone to train." Lia looked up at him, unsure if he was actually as annoyed as he sounded at her, "I know but I just want to be useful but you won't let me do anything so I thought I could be useful by training."

Astra crossed his arms, "And that desire to be useful is making you restless, so stop acting like a child and calm down for a moment. You'll get your training in when you learn to not push yourself too much." Lia was about to protest, but Shin appeared from the kitchen, an annoyed look on his face, "If Lia really wants to help out she can help me with going grocery shopping, Sho has used up all the food to create those monstrosities he calls meals."

Lia looked at Astra, a hopeful look on her face, "That sounds fun, can I go Astra, please can I?" Astra frowned and tried to look away, she had a habit of using puppy dog eyes that he couldn't resist, "Fine, but Ikari please don't keep her out too long, I want her back here and resting." Lia smiled and jumped up to hug him, "Yay! Thank you big brother!"

Astra mumbled a few things under his breath before walking away, trying to claim he had other things to attend to. Shin walked over to Lia and gave her a warm smile, "Shall we go then?" Lia nodded as the two headed out the door, Lia always excited to experience more of the city, and seemingly forgetting about wanting to find someone to train with.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Lia smiled as the two walked out of the grocery store, bags in hands as Shin followed behind her. Shin caught up to her, watching her enjoying walking down the street, "I don't think I've ever seen someone enjoy shopping for food so much." Lia nodded, "It was so much fun, trying to figure out what to pick, watching all the people around and all the interactions with the employees. I've never done anything like it."

Shin laughed, "I'm guessing you didn't do much like that back home being a princess and all." Lia nodded, "I didn't leave the palace much, but now on Earth I'm trying to do everything I can." Shin frowned, "Yeah I've noticed that you try to keep pretty active during the day, and I get that you want to experience stuff, but it has to get tiring. Why do you insist on doing so much during the day?"

Lia sighed, stopping walking as she looked at the people walking on the other side of the street, "Like I said I didn't leave the palace much, but it's more than that, I never even left the capital city. This is the first planet I've visited and I want to enjoy it all I can before I have to return to Gaia Prime."

Shin nodded slowly, "You know the way you talk and how your brother acts, it's like you're fragile and can't do much on your own." Lia frowned and nodded, "That's because you aren't wrong, and neither is Astra. Astra has his reasons for trying to keep me from doing too much. Even if he does get annoying sometimes with his insisting I'm going to overdo it."

Shin raised an eyebrow, "Why does he act like that? Because it kind of makes him more obnoxious with the way he treats you." Lia shook her head, "You can't hold that against him, he was traumatized from something that happened when I was 5 years old. You see Shin, I wasn't healthy as a child, in fact I was extremely fragile." Lia looked off into the distance, the experience from 11 years ago always fresh in her mind.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Gaia Prime(11 Years Ago)

A 13 year old Astra walked out into the main room of the palace, Akari waiting for him as he crossed his arms, "As much as I hate putting on commoner clothes, it will be easier to move around the city." Akari chuckled, "You were the one who wants to go explore the festival celebrating the victory in Terramis wars, so don't go complaining to me."

Astra frowned, "The only reason I want to go is because I want to revel in the celebration of the Terramis being put in their place, the prince can't be seen doing that." As the two prepared to leave, a 5 year old Lia, wrapped in a jacket much too big for her came running into the room, "Let me go too big brother, I want to see the festival." Behind her, King Univeri appeared, picking her up, "Lia what did I say, you aren't strong enough yet to leave the palace. Especially since you've just gotten over your previous illness."

Lia struggled to escape from his arms as she looked at Astra, "Please big brother can I go with you? I promise I'm feeling strong enough to go, I'll be fine." Astra frowned and tried to avoid her gaze, he wasn't able to say no to her, "Father, allow Lia to come with us, with both Akari and I there nothing will happen to her, I promise." King Univeri frowned, Lia still squirming in his arms as she gave him the same stare she had been giving Astra.

Letting out a sigh, he set her down, "Very well, but she is to stay in your sight at all times, and you must bring her back in an hour at the most." Lia frowned, "Awww only an hour?" Astra walked over to her, getting down to eye level with her, "Lia, Father is being kind enough to allow you to come with us, don't complain ok?"

Lia frowned but nodded, "Ok, thank you Papa!" King Univeri smiled as Akari walked over to her, grabbing Lia's hand, "Come on Lia, you can walk with me while your brother broods as always." Astra mumbled under his breath as the trio left, the two teens listening to Lia telling them whatever was on her mind, the two simply nodding at her comments.

As they got to the festival, Lia couldn't help but pause, she was starting to feel tired. Lia began to breathe heavily as Astra and Akari began to argue amongst themselves, "I don't want to just eat at those cheap booths Akari, I'd prefer to go to some place fancier." Akari scoffed at him, "Of course you'd say that, but you fail to realize that part of the charm of the festival is to eat at the booths."

The two finally broke from their argument as they heard a thud, from behind and someone running over to them, "Do you know this little girl? She's not breathing!" Astra turned around and saw an older man, at the side of a collapsed Lia, who as the man said, wasn't breathing. Astra felt everything freeze around him, no longer was it Lia on the ground in front of him, but his mother dying in his arms, her blood on his hands again.

He felt someone shaking him as he heard his friend's voice, "Astra what do we do? We need to do something." Astra's eyes looked back and forth, between Lia and a worried Akari, "I don't know." The older man, seeing Astra's breakdown, took matters into his own hands. He began to perform CPR on her, hoping he could at least get her to start breathing again.

Astra heard Akari contacting someone as the older man pressed on Lia's chest, desperately trying to save her. Finally the man pressed on her chest one more time, Lia's eyes opening wide as the 5 year old let out a massive breath. Astra ran to her side, falling onto his knees, hating how red her face was as he watched her trying to regain her senses.

Everything became a blur at that point as medical officers arrived, getting Lia to the medical quarters of the royal family. He wasn't sure when Akari had left, but at some point his Father had told her to go be with her family, leaving the two waiting in the waiting room, hoping that Lia would be alright.

As Astra sat there, King Univeri stood before him, arms crossed and a very rare scowl on his face, "I told you Astra, I told you that she wasn't strong enough to go out there. She didn't even last 15 minutes before collapsing, you should have listened to me." Astra nodded, avoiding direct eye contact with his father, "I know, I'm sorry Father, I just didn't want to say no to her."

The door opened as one of the doctors entered, a look of relief on her face, "King Univeri? The princess should be alright, she just went through shock of a new environment and her body was overwhelmed. However the good news is if you slowly allow her body to get stronger, then she should be able to overcome her fragileness with time."

King Univeri nodded and turned towards Astra, "I'm going to speak to the doctor, go be with Lia." Astra nodded, the teen entering into Lia's room and seeing her sleeping. He approached the bed and slowly ran a hand through her hair, hating himself for having frozen while she laid on the ground helpless. Slowly her eyes opened, a small smile appearing on her face, "Big brother? I'm sorry I ruined the festival for you and Akari, I really did try to be strong."

Astra shook his head, giving her a rare smile, "You didn't ruin anything ok? If anything it was my fault for not paying attention to you like I said I would." She smiled at him again before she closed her eyes, falling asleep again. King Univeri entered, Astra turning towards him, 'Father, I truly am sorry that I allowed this to happen, I just… I saw her collapse and I froze, I saw Mother dying and my body refused to do anything."

King Univeri's face softened, "Astra, It's ok my son, I understand." Astra shook his head, "No it's not ok, I was just focusing on being the best big brother I could be, I only considered what she wanted, not what was the best for her."

King Univeri walked over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder, "I forgive you Astra, you didn't know this would happen and I should not have yelled at you. This is an important lesson for you to remember, sometimes being a good older brother means doing what's best, not what she wants. Your sister isn't strong like you or me, we need to protect her until the day comes where she's strong enough to brave the world."

Astra nodded, "I will remember that Father, thank you." King Univeri leaves as Astra sat in the chair next to the bed, Lia eventually waking up and sitting up to face him, "Big brother, when I get better can I try going out with you and Akari again?" Astra was silent for a moment, holding back his inner urge to say yes to whatever she asked of him, "No Lia, you're not going to leave the palace for a while, I'm sorry."

Before she could react he got up, leaving the room and hoping that she would get some rest. He needed to protect her, and as he'd learned on this day, protecting her meant doing what was best, not what she wanted.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Japan(Present Day)

Lia finished recounting her story as Shin stood there in silence, frowning and finally speaking up, "After something like that I suppose I could see why he acts the way he does. He still acts like a jerk most of the time though."

Lia giggled at his remark, "I think most people would agree with that, I didn't tell you that to justify his personality Shin. I just think it's important that you understand the events that shaped him into the serious person you see before you. My brother has one goal, unfortunately he doesn't feel the need to be nice and appreciate the earth or you earthlings to achieve it."

Shin nodded, "Yeah well it would do him better to actually try to." Lia nodded in agreement, "My brother loves our people and planet even if he doesn't always show it. So hopefully once we can get the Terramis under control he can learn to like this planet and its people." Shin shook his head in disagreement, "Somehow I doubt he will, he just wants to take those guys down and leave here."

As the two continued to walk, a group of girls walked past them, each wearing a uniform. Lia watched them walk away, before turning to Shin in excitement, "Shin who were they? They looked like they were having so much fun just talking to each other." Shin looked back at the group of girls in confusion, "Them? They're high school girls, they're probably walking home from classes." Lia raised an eyebrow, "High School? Is that where you go to make friends? Do you go to high school too?"

Shin shook his head, "No I go to elementary school but I was off today but the high school wasn't. High school is for people your age I guess, and yeah they usually make friends there. At least some do."

Lia looked at him with excitement, "I want to go then, high school sounds so much fun. I can learn about the earth and make friends with human girls my age!" Shin looked at her as her mind was wandering, thinking about all the fun she could have, "Don't they have schools on Gaia Prime?"

Lia nodded slowly, "Well yeah, but I didn't go to one, I got home schooled at the palace. Astra and Akari went to school, but it was one for nobles and the royal family." Shin frowned as she stopped and began to cough slightly, feeling concerned now knowing about her condition, "I'm not sure school would be a good idea, you're coughing from just carrying groceries. You might not be able to handle the long days at school."

Lia waved him off as they kept walking, "Oh I'll be fine, I've felt fine since I've been on Earth. Now come on, let's get back so I can convince Astra on the idea." Shin frowned but nodded, following after her as they headed back to her school, already having a feeling Astra wouldn't be receptive to the idea.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Underground

The sound of screaming could be heard as President Liberellum slammed his nephew Judai against the wall, the younger man breathing heavily and covered in scratches. Judai struggled to move as Liberellum scowled, "Come now Judai, you insisted you could defeat CosmoMars oh so easily, yet you came back with your tail tucked between your legs and claiming you could've beaten him if he didn't use cheap tricks."

Judai frowned, "Uncle please forgive me, I know you're angry but I assure next time I'll defeat him now that I know what tricks he has up his sleeves." Liberellum smiled and shook his head, "Oh nephew I'm not angry, no I just want to ensure that you won't be defeated again. Trust me once I'm done here, CosmoMars won't be a problem for you ever again."

As he started to approach Judai to continue the training, the door opened and in walked Professor Insentia, "Sir, a moment of your time please." Liberellum frowned and turned towards her, "This best be important Insentia, I told you I didn't want to be disturbed while training my nephew." Insentia nodded, "I know you did, but I figured I'd inform you that my latest cryptid is finished."

Liberellum smirked, "Well that is good news, very well what's this one?" Insentia stepped aside and in stepped an anteater-like creature, its long nose going down to its chest with a dark blue crystal on its chest, "This is my newest child, Tapirior, its capable of absorbing any being he captures with its nose, becoming stronger as it does so. I figured we could have him absorb the Cosmogers when they show up to stop him."

Liberellum nodded, smiling at the news, "Excellent, you've outdone yourself with this one Professor. Though I would prefer you didn't refer to these creatures as your children." Insentia chuckled at his remark, "Well when you start making our soldiers then you can refer to them as however you wish. Until then I will be referring to all my beloved cryptids as my children."

Liberellum shook his head in disappointment before turning back to a recovering Judai, "Just make sure it does absorb the Cosmogers. Now leave us, and do not disturb us unless it's dire." Insentia nodded and exited the room with Tapirior, ignoring the screaming that once again began to come from the room.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Japan

There was a silence in the room, as Lia had just finished telling Astra her idea of attending school, the young princess trying to read her brother's emotions as he was stone faced. Lia tried smiling at him, "Please big brother, It could help me blend in on earth and learn more about the planet."

Astra scowled and crossed his arms, "No absolutely not, it's simply a waste of time that I refuse to even entertain." Sho smirked as he sat in a chair across from Astra, "I don't know, the princess going to school would be a lot better than her being around annoying me about things." Astra glared at him, "What have I told you about watching your tongue in speaking to us Fuuto?"

Sho ignored him as Haruki fiddled with his seat next to Sho, "I don't know, school sounds fun, maybe I can go too, that way the princess doesn't have to go alone." From her spot in the corner, Akari crossed her arms, "Astra it might be good for her, Lia never got to go to school. Getting to socialize with kids her age could benefit her."

Astra frowned as he looked at his sister, her eyes drooping as her legs were shaking, "Absolutely not, Lia you can try to hide it all you want but I can tell you're tired. You're already over exerting yourself just by going on an errand, you won't be able to handle going to this high school."

Lia scowled at him, feeling annoyed at him, "You can't keep not letting me do things because you think I could collapse again! It's not fair." Astra narrowed his eyes at her, "And I don't think it's fair that you're asking me to risk seeing you on the ground not breathing again! I'm not willing to risk you nearly dying again just so you can make friends with earth girls."

The room was silent as Astra realized he'd yelled at her, a regretful frown appearing on his face. Before he could say anything however, Hositto appeared in the room, "We got trouble! The Terramis have appeared and are attacking people!" Astra sighed and nodded, "Lia we can finish this conversation later, for now we need to deal with that." Lia reluctantly nodded, the team heading out in silence, no one wishing to make any further comments on the siblings' disagreement.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Civilians ran for their lives as Tapirior rampaged through the area, its nose expanding and absorbing people into it, glowing blue for each person it absorbed and trapped within the prison on its chest. As it was about to absorb a mother shielding her child, it was hit by several blasts of energy, sending it flying away from the two.

Lia appeared beside the two in disguise, putting a hand on the mother's shoulder, "You're safe now, so get away from here." The other four joined her as Tapirior got back up, growling at them. Astra readied his CosmoBlaster, "Let's be done with this quickly, the Terramis should know better than to send this trash up here."

The other four nodded as all of them brought out their AdventCapsules, "Mars!" "Neptune!" "Uranus!" "Venus!" "Mercury!" Each of them placed their capsule into the CosmoBlaster as it sprang to life, "LET'S PLAN-IT RIGHT!"

The techno music began to play as all 5 pointed their blasters at the enemies, pulling the trigger, "ADVENT REALIZE!" Each of them were bathed in their respective colors light as each of the announcements were made,

"COSMIC WARRIOR NOW LANDING!"

"COSMIC HEALER NOW LANDING!"

"COSMIC TRAVELER NOW LANDING!"

"COSMIC TRICKSTER NOW LANDING!"

"COSMIC RESEARCHER NOW LANDING!"

Emerging from the light, CosmoMars already had his sword of mars mode ready on his CosmoBlaster, "We'll end this quickly." The footsoldiers appeared, the Cosmogers charged at them, dealing with them easily as CosmoUranus charged at Tapirior, "Not sure what this thing is but it's goofy looking."

Tapirior growled at him as it punched him, sending him into a wall, "Ok so it's goofy and strong, who would've guessed." CosmoMercury shook her head and stood next to him, "We should look for its weakness, that way we can defeat it easier." CosmoUranus scoffed at her, readying his CosmoBlaster again, "Nah I'm good, I'm pretty sure all we need to do is hit it enough and it'll explode."

Tapirior growled at him as he charged at it again, "Me Tapirior and Mother said I need to absorb you." Before any of them could question what he meant, his nose expanded again, beginning to suck the air in front of CosmoUranus until he got pulled in as well, the yellow Cosmoger being absorbed by the cryptid. Tapirior chuckled as he glowed blue, "He tasted as bad as he was acting."

CosmoMercury shot at him, before turning to a preoccupied CosmoMars, "Mars we've got a problem, that thing seems to absorb people and it just got the idiot." CosmoMars slashed at a few foot soldiers, destroying them, "Well that's just great, avoid his nose then until we can figure out how to get Uranus back."

CosmoMercury nodded, taking aim at Tapirior, "The nose is precisely what I'm aiming for, destroy that and it won't be able to do anything." Assuming she was out of its range, CosmoMercury began to fire at it, hitting its nose several times but seemingly doing nothing. Tapirior turned towards her, his nose becoming longer, "You think I can't reach you over there, but you're wrong!"

Mercury didn't have time to react as before she knew she too was caught in the suction, getting absorbed as well. Noticing this, CosmoMars turned towards the other two remaining Cosmogers, "That thing seems to get stronger the more it absorbs, try to stay out of its way." The other two nodded as CosmoVenus jumped up onto a nearby roof, firing several shots at Tapirior, "Can't get me all the way up here."

Tapirior tried to reach for him, but his nose couldn't reach all the up there, growling before noticing someone else, "I'll just get the slower one." He turned towards CosmoNeptune, who in trying to get away from him, had collapsed and was beginning to cough as her body was giving out on her. As she continued to cough, Tapirior chuckled, "You're next bluey."

Neptune barely had time to react as Tapirior extended his nose towards her, however nothing happened as CosmoMars ran up and pushed her away, "Lia run!" As much as he tried to fight it, he too was soon caught in the suction as he was soon pulled towards Tapirior. CosmoNeptune tried to reach her hand out to him, "Big brother!" CosmoMars looked at her, almost being fully absorbed as she heard him speak one last time, "Lia, I believe in you."

With that he was fully absorbed as Tapirior glowed blue again, chuckling to himself, "Three pests down, two to go." However he suddenly stopped as CosmoVenus appeared by Neptune's side, unsure what was happening, "Uh oh, I guess I'm full, time to go back to Mother. I'll be back for you two later."

He jumped up and drilled his nose into the ground, disappearing underground leaving the remaining two Cosmogers standing there. CosmoVenus punched the ground in annoyance, "Dammit there he goes with our teammates." Both of them untransformed as Shin appeared, running up to them as Haruki went to try and help up Lia. She began to cough more, her mind still trying to get a grasp on what had happened.

Sho was gone, Akari was gone, and because of her Astra was gone. She felt so tired, so sleepy, she began to fall, her body finally giving out on her as her eyes closed. She could faintly hear Haruki yelling at Shin, "Shin call for help, she needs to get to a hospital right now!"

Shin nodded and took out his cellphone as Haruki tried to shake Lia awake, nothing working as the two just hoped that she'd be alright, not yet worrying about rescuing their three teammates.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

He punched the crystal-like structure they were contained in, it barely left a mark as he crossed his arms, scowling, "Well there goes all my attempts at escaping." Akari frowned as she leaned against the crystal walls of their prison, "Wow you punched it a few times and you've already given up hope, truly you thought of everything."

Sho scoffed at her, "Oh please Ms. Know it all, at least I tried, you've already given up hope it seems." Akari glared at him, "I haven't given up on anything, I just know punching won't solve our problems here. Of course we had to end up imprisoned together, why couldn't you end up with any of the civilians that got absorbed."

Sho prepared to fire back, but Astra who'd been meditating on the ground opened his eyes, "Enough both of you! Lia and Hoshi will rescue us." Sho scoffed again as he got down to Astra's level, "Oh please your highness, you don't even believe the spoiled princess can even go to school, but you really think she can rescue us."

Astra nodded, "Lia is very capable, she needs to stop believing that I need to tell her that and tell herself that. Until she realizes it I suggest you two save your energy, we'll need it when we're freed." Sho mumbled something under his breath before nodding reluctantly, leaning against the wall and hoping that for once the prince was right.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

She slowly began to open her eyes, the sound of hospital machines echoing in her ears. She heard someone scream, "Lia is awake!" She turned to her side to see Shin at her bedside, looking alarmed, "Shin? What happened?" Haruki appeared beside him, a look of concern on his face, "You passed out after the cryptid fled. Thankfully we got you to the hospital, good thing Hositto got those fake identities set up for us huh?"

Shin nodded in agreement, "The doctors said you just over exerted yourself, so you can go home whenever you've regained your strength." Lia frowned as she sat up, "Astra, my big brother is gone because I was pushing myself despite knowing I needed to rest more."

Haruki tried smiling at her, "Yeah but now that you're awake we can go try and rescue him and the others." Lia shook her head, "What can we even do? Even Astra got absorbed because of me, without him we're weak."

Shin gripped the side of the bed, anger welling up inside of the boy, "Would you just stop! All I've heard since you've been here is how great Astra is, how you'll never be as strong as him, and how you need to prove yourself to him! Lia you don't need to be as strong as Astra or equal to him, you only need to be strong as you can be. You can't be equal to anyone if you can't be equal to yourself."

Lia frowned as she looked at the angry boy, her brother's words echoing in her mind, what he said to her as he was absorbed, he believed in her. Her hands curled into fists as Lia nodded at Shin, "You're right Shin, I've spent so much time trying to prove my strength to him, I forgot that I need to prove it to myself. Physical strength isn't everything, I can find my own strength!"

Shin smiled at her and scratched the back of his head, "Oh that actually worked? I was really worried I was yelling at royalty for nothing." Lia nodded as she threw the blanket off of her, her body experiencing a new strength, even remembering where Akarai had been targeting the cryptid.

She looked at Haruki who gave her a thumbs up, "We're going to save my Brother, Akari and Sho, no matter what." The two boys nodded at her, the princess taking charge as she's found her inner strength.

Gaia Prime(Three Months Ago)

Princess Lia Marti entered into the throne room of the royal palace, her father seated in the throne. Lia bowed to him, "You summoned me Father?" King Univeri nodded, "Lia, the universe is about to reach an impasse, the Terramis are soon to break free from their prison on earth and if nothing is done then they'll be unleashed upon the galaxy.

To combat this we're bringing back the force that once helped us win the war, the Cosmogers, your brother of course has been chosen by the universe to lead them." Lia smiled and nodded, "Of course Astra would be chosen, if anyone should be leading the fight against the Terramis it should be him."

King Univeri frowned and nodded, "The universe has also chosen you to be a Cosmoger as well." Lia's eyes went wide as she approached her Father, "Father are you sure? I'm probably not the most suited to be fighting in a new conflict." King Univeri nodded in agreement and stroked his long beard, "While I don't necessarily disagree with you Lia, and would prefer to keep you safe, the universe doesn't make mistakes. If you've been chosen then it means you have a destiny that lies in being a Cosmoger."

Lia frowned and shook her head, "Father I don't think I can do this, I'm not strong enough, and Astra will certainly never accept it." King Univeri stood up from his throne, approaching his daughter, "Lia have I ever told you about your mother?" Lia shook her head, "Not really, you and Astra barely bring her up and I barely remember her face."

King Univeri put a hand on his daughter's shoulder, "You remind me a lot of Athezia, kind, brave and wise, and as pretty as a star. But despite everything that made her great, she still had her own doubts and fears that she had to overcome. But she eventually did become the great queen that everyone remembers today. You'll have your own hurdles to overcome but you're so much like her, I have no doubt you'll succeed."

Lia looked up at him, "You really think I'm like her?" King Univeri nodded, "As long as you can become fearless and filled with determination then I have no doubt you can find your own strength and become as great as she was." Hearing about her mother for the first time in years caused Lia to smile, her mind filling with determination as she pulled her Father into a hug, "I won't let you down Father, I can do this."

King Univeri chuckled as he patted her head, "I know you can Lia, now go." She nodded and left the throne room to begin her journey, King Univeri feeling pride in his daughter. A shiver however went up his spine as he remembered, the eventual call from Astra wasn't going to be pleasant.

Japan(Present Day)

Civilians continued to run as Tapirior had returned, once again trying to absorb anyone he could get his nose on. As he tried to absorb more, he was blasted by several energy blasts, Lia and Haruki running up to him. Tapirior looked at them and chuckled, "Well if it isn't the two remaining Cosmgers, here to get absorbed like you're friends?"

The two brought out their CosmoBlasters as Lia shook her head, "We're here to get them back actually." The two pulled out their AdventCapsules "NEPTUNE!" "VENUS!"

They placed them into the blasters as it sprang to life, "LET'S PLAN-IT RIGHT!" The techno music began to play as they pointed the blasters at Tapirior, "ADVENT REALIZE!" Both bathed in blue and white lights,

"COSMIC HEALER NOW LANDING!"

"COSMIC TRICKSTER NOW LANDING!"

CosmoNeptune and Venus emerged as Tapirior growled at them, "You can try to save them, but you'll end up failing." Neptune turned towards Venus and nodded at him, "We can do this, just keep moving and use teamwork and we'll get him." Venus nodded as both brought out an additional capsule, "Moon: HIPPOCAMP!", "Moon: NEITH!" They inserted the capsules and pulled the trigger, "ADVENT TECHNIQUE: FRIGID ICE OF NEPTUNE!" "ADVENT TECHNIQUE: METEOR SHOWERS OF VENUS!"

Tapirior launched his nose at them, CosmoVenus jumping out of the way and pulling the trigger on his CosmoBlaster, firing several small meteors at the nose, causing it not to reach him. CosmoNeptune fired a large sphere of ice between the meteors, the ice exploding and resulting in a larger explosion, Tapirior screeching in pain as he pulled his nose away from them. Venus laughed as Tapirior tried recovering, "Looks like Ms. Akari was right, his nose is his weakness."

Neptune nodded in agreement, "It's not just his nose we need to target, we need to break the crystal on his chest too, that's where he seems to keep people." Venus held up his CosmoBlaster, "I'm guessing you have a plan then/" Neptune nodded as she took out another capsule, "Cover me, I need to get close."

Venus nodded and fired several more meteors, Tapirior trying his best to destroy them as they kept coming at him, turning it into a meteor shower, CosmoVenus hitting him from all sides. CosmoNeptune slammed the new capsule into her CosmoBlaster, "MOON: Galatea!"

She began to run up to Tapirior, dodging the meteors, her blaster beginning to glow. Tapirior still noticed her however and turned around to face her, "I see you! Time to face my nose." His nose began to activate its suction, pulling Neptune in, causing her to smirk underneath her helmet, "Good, just what I wanted." Ice began to form out of her blasters as it came to life, "ADVENT TECHNIQUE:ICICLE EXPLOSION!"

As CosmoNeptune got as close as she could to Tapirior, she pulled the trigger, multiple icicles exploding from it, embedding themselves in his nose and the crystal. Tapirior roared in pain as light began to pour from his chest crystal.

CosmoVenus joined her side as three lights appeared next to them, the three older Cosmogers reforming as they looked around in confusion. CosmoUranus being the most surprised, "Wait we're free? You two actually managed to save us? I mean of course I knew you'd do it, totally never had any doubts."

CosmoMercury jabbed him in the ribs, "Totally never had any doubts, good job both of you." CosmoMars put a hand on his sister's shoulder and nodded at her, "I knew you could do it, I'm proud of you." CosmoNeptune wanted to enjoy the praise but upon hearing Tapirior growl again, she turned towards him, "Of course it was too much to hope that he'd stay down."

The five focused as Tapirior yelled at them, "You dare hurt me! Who do you think you are?" CosmoMars scoffed, "We'll tell you who we are." He held up his CosmoBlaster, "Burning Bright Star, CosmoMars!" CosmoNeptune twirled as she held up her CosmoBlaster, "Frigid Deep Space, CosmoNeptune!" CosmoUranus spun his Blaster around his finger, "Speeding Solar Flare, CosmoUranus!" CosmoVenus threw up his Blaster and caught it, "Soaring Meteor, CosmoVenus!" CosmoMercury, similar to Mars, simply held up her Blaster, "Planet-Wide Elements, CosmoMercury!"

The 5 posed as they finished their call, "Shooting across the night sky to save all worlds, ADVENT SENTAI COSMOGER!" CosmoNeptune stood in front of Mars, pointing her blaster at Tapirior, "We'll be sending you to the void of space now." CosmoMars shook his head, "Looks like you found your confidence in yourself, come on he's already injured so let's finish this in one attack."

The others nodded as they prepared their CosmoBlasters, all of them having energy pooling into the weapons, "COSMIC FINALE!" All five beams of energy hit Tapirior, causing him to scream before exploding, The Cosmogers all posing in victory. CosmoMars looked at the remains of Tapirior, "It's not over yet, he's gonna come back." Sure enough Tapirior's remains began to assemble itself as suddenly a building size Tapirior started to rise from the ground, The Cosmogers jumping back.

CosmoMars tapped his glove, "Hositto, summon the Staruisers." Soon enough the Staruisers appeared, each flying in as they all beamed up into their respective vehicles. The Staruisers began to combine as Hositto appeared as well, the vehicles all combined together, the Cosmogers appearing in the main cockpit, "REALIZED! COSMO-JIN READY!" Cosmo-Jin appeared in front of Tapirior, the cryptid growling at them, "Now that my nose is bigger I can absorb more!"

Cosmo-Jin raised both of its blasters, firing several shots that ended up being absorbed by the cryptid. CosmoMars sighed in annoyance, "It can absorb anything we fire at it, and we can't get close. Mercury, any ideas?" She nodded as she handed a capsule to CosmoNeptune, "The new Staruiser should be able to help, Lia. I linked it to your capsules, it's all yours." CosmoNeptune nodded as she placed the capsule into her CosmoBlaster, "Let's see what this can do then, come on Avastro!"

A smaller blue and purple UFO appeared from space, splitting apart and merging with Cosmo-Jin's two blasters, turning it into one large blaster, with Avastro appearing as the barrel of it. Tapirior tried extending his nose at them, causing Cosmo-Jin to pull the trigger on its new weapon, causing a large beam of ice to fire from it and freezing Tapirior's nose.

CosmoVenus laughed as Tapirior's nose shattered from being frozen solid, "Alright it's an ice cannon!" The Cosmogers began to initiate the final technique as they all inserted their capsules into the devices, "Cosmo-Jin: COSMIC CATACLYSM!" A large beam of ice came out of the ice cannon, completely freezing Tapirior solid as Cosmo-Jin approached him, shattering him with one kick. As Cosmo-Jin stood victorious, CosmoMars crossed his arms in his chair, "I knew you can do it Little Star, good job."

CosmoNeptune giggled from his praise as CosmoUranus looked over at him, "Wait, do you have a cute little nickname for your little sister? The big bad ice prince of Gaia Prime calls his sister little star? That is the funniest thing I've heard all day."

CosmoMars scoffed and pressed a button on his console, "And my tolerance for you Fuuto has ended for the day." Cosmo-Jin broke apart, MarSaucer flying back up into space, CosmoUranus's laughter still being heard as Mars was hoping that the universe had made a mistake in picking him.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

The group had arrived back at Shin's house, Astra now standing before his sister, almost having a look of pride on his face, "I knew you could do it Lia, it was never me you needed to prove yourself to it was…." Lia interrupted him, "Myself, I needed to prove my strength to myself and I did, because I realized it wasn't just physical strength that was important."

Astra nodded, "Yes that, I'm glad you could figure that out yourself." Lia smiled, 'Well Shin helped me a bit, but yes I figured out I was holding myself back." Astra crossed his arms, nodding at Shin, "Well I suppose the earthling can be good for some things." Shin raised an eyebrow, "That almost sounded like a compliment, I'll take it."

Lia looked at Astra, trying to hide her glee, "So since I proved myself, can I go to school? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Astra?" Astra tried to look away, Lia as usual using her puppy dog eyes on him, "Fine, I suppose it would be beneficial to you. However Hoshi does have to go with you."

Lia jumped in victory before jumping up to hug him, being lifted off the ground as she hugged him by the shoulders, "Yay! Thank you so much big brother, now come on if I'm going to go to school I must be prepared for when I make friends. Which means I need you to take me shopping." She grabbed him by the wrist and began to pull him out of the house, Astra only half trying to resist, "I did not agree to this Lia, I am not taking you shopping when we haven't even enrolled you in school yet!"

As Shin watched him be dragged out of the house he smirked, "Well I guess he does have a softer side when it comes to his sister, he's still a bit of a jerk though." A hand appeared on his shoulder as he turned to see Akari standing next to him, "Congratulations on forming the opinion that most have of Astra."

Shin looked at her in confusion as Sho appeared from the kitchen, "See I'm still trying to figure out why you tolerate him then, if you know he's a jerk as well." Akari shook her head, ignoring them as she began to leave the house as well, "Well I suppose they'll need someone with them that has better taste than Astra."

She left the house, following after the Marti siblings as Lia continued to drag Astra along the street, a smile on her face as things seemed to be settling down for them.

0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Unknown Location

The room was dark as the only light that could be seen was the drag of a cigarette, a man with an American accent speaking, "These Cosmogers, they seem to be dealing with whatever threats that are emerging but they cause collateral damage."

Another figure at the table nodded, passing over pictures captured of them. He spoke with a British accent, "They claim to be friendly but if they're really aliens how can we be sure?" This time a woman with a Japanese accent spoke up, "We've been investigating them but of course we're going to need the funding for it."

Another woman with a Russian accent nodded, "I'm more concerned with the other beings, they may be a threat to this alliance." A man with a French accent threw the photos on the table, scoffing, "Nothing has threatened the Harmonious Eight in the past hundred years, these supposed aliens won't start now."

Beside him, a man with a Chinese accent shook his head, "We should still be cautious about both of these groups." A woman with a spanish accent nodded in agreement, "Both seem to have technology to grow their fighters to larger size, we can't ignore that."

Finally a man with a middle eastern accent spoke, "So we're in agreement then, the Harmonious Eight will move both the so-called Cosmogers and these other beings into immediate threat status?"

The other seven leaders nodded in agreement as they continued with their meeting, all in agreement that the Earth was seemingly under the threat of these new beings coming from both space and below the Earth's crust.

Next time on Advent Sentai Cosmoger

Haruki is walking with Lia

"I want to be strong like your brother"

Astra is looking down at Haruki who'd been knocked on the ground

"Why did you agree to become a Cosmoger?"

Finally Haruki is looking at a necklace with a white stone on it

"It should've been you who was chosen, not me."

THE END!
