Megumi's Type
JJK/RWBY crossover fanfiction
AN: This is mostly just a random idea I had, and it's merely a part of a greater story I may write later, but this is mainly a birthday gift for RWBY's own Ruby Rose. It's not very polished yet; this is just bare bones part of a greater possible project.
And just know everyone: Happy Halloween! And Happy Birthday to Ruby Rose!

"Ugh! Still at a dead end! I gotta get Crescent Rose up and functioning by the Exchange Event otherwise I won't be as useful! Gosh, this is so frustrating!" Ruby complained to herself as she walked along the old stone walkways of Jujutsu High. It had been two weeks now that she was stalled in transforming her beloved sniper-scythe into a Cursed Tool, and she still wasn't close to completing it!
"Where the heck is Gojo-sensei anyways?" she grumbled as she stuffed her hands into her Jujutsu High jacket and glared at the trees around her. "He said he'd be around to help me whenever I needed help in converting Crescent Rose, but he hasn't been around the school at all!"
Not that she really had high expectations about her new instructor. Since Megumi introduced Ruby to 'the Strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer' in Japan, she had come to learn Gojo was…impossibly laid back for a teacher. Not that he wasn't good at it when he actually taught anything, but he was just…
Frustrating to deal with.
"Don't know. He's been MIA since…since Itadori died," Blake commented from Ruby's side. She looked down at the black cat at her feet and sighed.
"Can't be helped. Let's get back to Megumi and Nobara," the silver eyed teen said, offering her shoulder. Blake nodded and leapt easily up land and perch on Ruby's shoulder.
After getting situated the two set out. Ruby gave her sister in all but blood a side look. However, Blake noticed and dug her claws into Ruby's skin. Ruby yelped as she flinched. "You're doing it again," Blake accused.
Ruby glared at her. "Doing what again?"
"Blaming yourself for this," she said, gesturing to her current form. "You weren't the one who cursed me, Ruby."
"But you got dragged to Earth with me for trying to save me," she protested quietly. Again. Blake shook her head. Again.
"And if Weiss and Yang were with me, they'd be here with us. It's not your fault Cinder and her team were trying to incriminate you. Besides, we're a team, right? Sisters? We're supposed to help each other, right?" she asked, making Ruby sigh.
"Yeah…" Ruby opened her mouth to say something else when the two heard a loud BOOM in the distance. The two tensed and directed their attention towards the noise. "Trouble!"
"Let's go!" Blake quickly secured herself in Ruby's hood as the Huntress rushed forward, dispersing into rose petals.
Megumi cursed again as Todo suplexed him into the ground. This was what he was trying to avoid! But of course, his shitty luck kicked in and now he was getting his ass handed to him!
Megumi jumped up and tried to defend himself, but Todo was too fast for him. The second year Jujutsu Sorcerer from Kyoto punched him in the face, making him stumble backwards as he tried to create distance. Todo, however, wasn't letting him and pursued him relentlessly, easily getting past Megumi's defenses to land multiple strikes to the face. Megumi tried to backpedal, but Todo was on him again, grabbing his face. The second year grinned savagely and tensed up to sprint; Megumi tensed as well, expecting this next exchange to hurt.
What neither of them were expecting was a boot seemingly materializing on Todo's face.
Todo grunted as the foot on his face applied pressure, and he was thrown backwards by an intense gust of wind. He skidded across the ground as he tried to fight the wind. Megumi blinked in shock while the wind rushed around him. He briefly wondered why he wasn't flying as well until he finally registered hands leaving his right shoulder. He looked up to see black/red hair and a red cloak land in front of him. "Rose…?" he asked in confusion.
"What the heck do you think you're doing to Megumi?!" the diminutive Jujutsu Sorcerer shouted irately, silencing Megumi's inquiries. She started marching up to Todo, who was confused by her presence. Megumi's eyes widened.
"Rose, wait! Stop!" he yelled but it did no good.
Meanwhile, Mai Zenin was firing her revolver at Nobara, easily tearing through her tracksuit and leaving whelps on her skin. "Look at you!" she sneered at the first year. "I can't-"
She was interrupted by a clawed hand grabbing her hands and lifting them into the sky. "That's enough," a new voice growled from behind her. Nobara looked up and smiled.
"Belladona!" she exclaimed as Mai's head turned to her captor. Staring at her with catlike amber eyes was a tall, ebony haired beauty in a black and white yukata. The most striking features were the cat ears atop her head and the black tail swaying behind her.
Mai gritted her teeth. "A Cursed Corpse?!" she hissed in disbelief. Blake just frowned.
"Nope. Just Cursed," she informed as she easily threw the woman out into the sunlight.
Mai easily flipped and fired her last two shots, but Blake used Shadow Clone to dodge the bullets. She then pushed off the ground and appeared in front of Mai in a show of impressive speed. Mai cursed and tried to reload, but she soon found her hand pinned to the ground. She glared up at the cat girl, who just gave her a dull glare.
"Nice job, Belladonna!" Nobara exclaimed as she jogged up to them. Blake just smirked.
Todo, at the same time, was confused by this tiny girl's presence as she marched up to him. 'So, this is one of the two first years that were brought here from another reality thanks to that Special Grade from the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. I didn't sense any Cursed Energy from her until she was right in my face,' he thought. 'Even now, I can barely sense a trickle from her. Actually, I do sense something from her.' His eyes widened. 'Is…Is that Negative Cursed Energy?'
She finally reached Todo and pointed a finger at his face. "I don't know who you are, but I don't care! Stop hurting Megumi, or else I'll bury your face into the ground and drag you across campus and see how YOU like it!"
Todo and Megumi stared at the slip of a girl in shock as she turned away from the Kyoto second year in a huff and marched back to Megumi. Todo watched in bemusement as she stopped in front of Fushiguro.
"You ok, Megumi?" she asked. Megumi jolted back into reality for a moment and nodded.
"Y-Yeah, I'm good," he told her.
"Are you sure? You're losing a lot of blood!" she insisted. Megumi shook his head.
"Really, Rose, I'm fine," he insisted back. "All I need is a washcloth and some bandages, and I'll be square." She looked horribly upset with him.
"Megumi, did that oaf give you a concussion?" she asked.
The two started arguing after Megumi's health as Todo stood there transfixed. His eyes widened as he came to a sudden realization. "I see!"
The two stopped arguing and turned to Todo in confusion. The girls a few feet away immediately turned to him as well. He ignored all this walked over to Ruby and Megumi. They tensed before he stopped before them. He stared down Megumi intently, making the Ten Shadows user glare back at him.
"It would seem I was wrong about you, Fushiguro," Todo commented. "It's not that you're boring, it's that you are not a man to boast about his tastes."
Megumi gave the older teen a questioning look. "Uh…Ok…?"
"You don't have to say anything else, Fushiguro!" Todo exclaimed boldly. "I can see why you would wish to keep your relationship a secret!"
"Rel…ationship…?" Megumi was now completely confused. What was this idiot blabbing about now?
"Huh? What's he talking about?" Nobara asked.
"I don't know," Blake answered, staring at the man in confusion as Todo turned to Ruby and placed a surprisingly gentle hand on her shoulder.
"You've chosen a very interesting man, miss," he told her. She tilted her head at him in confusion.
"Huh?"
"Take good care of his heart, I ask of you, my friend!" he shouted as his eyes filled with tears. He turned around and continued, "I wish you two the best of luck in your relationship! Farewell!"
He proceeded to walk away, leaving Megumi, Ruby, and the others trying to comprehend his speech. However, once they finally realized what he was implying the world ended.
"H-H-HUUUUUHHHHHHH?!" Ruby stammered out shrilly, her face instantly turning atomic red.
"WWWHHAAAAA-?! FUSHIGURRRRROOOOOOOO!" Nobara screamed in shock. "HOW COME I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS, HUUUHHH?!" she demanded as she ran up to the spikey haired Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Said Sorcerer was wide eyed and slack-jawed, a light blush on his face. 'What the hell?! Where did that come from?!' he thought.
Mai was staring blankly at the scene as Todo walked past her. "Come on, Mai, we're done here," he told her, not even breaking his stride. She growled at him.
"I'm not done here!" she protested.
"I still need to shake hands with Takeda while she's here in Tokyo! And if I miss that, then someone's gonna die!" he explained. He looked to the ground and said, "Oh, my jacket!"
Meanwhile, Nobara was chomping at the bits for information. "RUBY! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU AND FUSHIGURO WERE A THING?! I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!" Nobara continued to scream and shake the girl.
"W-We're not dating!" Ruby objected. Nobara wasn't convinced. "We're not! Really!" The red-faced Rose turned to her sister and shouted, "Blake! Back me u-!"
"…and so the forbidden romance of the Bastard son of the Zenin clan and the last daughter of the warrior tribe of Rose was discovered by a most unlikely Sorcerer…" was the only words Ruby heard from Blake's lips as the cat girl wrote frantically into a notebook. Ruby's face turned to her namesake.
"BLLLLLAAAAAAAAKE!"
Megumi stood ramrod still as he took in the scene of Kugisaki demanding answers, Blake writing her smut, and Ruby overheating, which made his face burn a bit for some reason. He growled as he felt a vein pop on his head. 'Why is this my life?'
AN: Again, I hope everyone enjoyed it. It wasn't all that fleshed out, just a general idea, but I hope it was interesting, nonetheless.
