I cannot believe that it has been two months since the previous update to this story. There are a lot of things that happened that caused the delay, but it was not supposed to be delayed by two months. Some of the stuff involved my personal life. While other things involved me having to rewrite several parts of this chapter several times. Even though the delay was massive, I still plan to go on a break once Volume 6 of this story is finished but I have a lot of concepts written out so once I start writing for Volume 7 and 8, I will know certain plot threads to cover. Since I will be doing a lot of diversions from canon.

Not to mention I need to work on my other stories. I will still find a way to give this story content that is not the main chapters. But nothing is set in stone, especially since Volume 6 is almost done.

Also to answer a few questions I've received

For the questions in Spanish, I will need more time to answer them since Spanish isn't my native language and I don't want to screw up a response. But rest assured it will be answered though you are welcomed to send me a PM.

The reason for Joan and Sin's appearance in the previous chapter is a big secret but what I can confirm is that it has NOTHING to do with Salem, Izanami, or Terumi. They were doing an investigation and their time is almost up. Though given the nature of Blazblue and various multiverses and timelines. Those two's life MAY or MAY NOT be the future of the characters in this story so don't think that anything is set in stone. Also don't expect them to appear again. Nothing is technically off the table but additional appearances by them should not be expected.

Using Ragna's infamy was an option but the problem is that the group still needs to get Ragna to Atlas too and if they find out Ragna is in either Argus or the Base. It could cause a panic which will bring in the Grimm or invite the wrath of Atlas on the group which is something they do not need. So Hazama's offer was everything they needed. Unfortunately for them, this is Terumi so it might not be as good as they thought.

At the time of this chapter's update it will be Halloween, It's not a themed chapter but given what a certain character will do in this chapter, a scream will be made.

Chapter 92 Chaotic Complications

(The City of Mantle)

It took a lot of time and hard work for Robyn and her happy Huntresses to not only bury the bodies they found in the Murakumo Lab. But also to make sure nobody caught wind of anything strange in the Dust mine and to ensure the lab was properly sealed up. Though once all the prep work was done. The results were very beneficial for the people of Mantle. The dust turnout have proved to go a long way to ensure that the dust went to the people that needed them and despite Jaques wanting to reclaim the dust mine upon hearing about the turnout. The official paperwork that proved his release made it easier for Robyn to rest easy knowing that the dust supply wouldn't be disturbed. Especially since the people are vigilantly guarding it.

Though there are some problems that Robyn is unable to solve despite her best wishes to do so. One of the biggest problems are the terrible working conditions that the dust miners are subjected to on a daily basis. Robyn knows that the people of Mantle need to work to bring in the needed income. However, she feels that despite all the hard work that the Miners have put into the Mines. The people that do the hard work get scraps compared to the Atlas nobles that benefit from the hard work and sacrifice. Adding to the frustration is that the Atlas nobles have shown too many times that they don't care about the people of Mantle. As long as their cash flow isn't affected in any way. Robyn doesn't like having to do unethical actions. But if its for the sake of the people of Mantle then she is willing to do whatever it takes for the betterment of the people.

As Robyn was walking through the streets of Mantle, thinking about possible options to ensure the City's stability. She noticed a kindly looking woman using her abilities to treat the Dust Mine workers for various injuries. Robyn knew full well what went on in those mines. Especially the specific mines where the Baratheon's infamous blonde heir flaunts and abuses his status. Robyn had wanted to do something about him for a long while. Unfortunately, without definite proof and the influence of his mother Cersei. Robyn's hands are firmly tied. So she appreciates anything that can make the lives of the workers more bearable by any means.

Normally, moments like this would give the impression that not all of the Atlas Nobles are bad and there are some nobles that truly do care about the people. Like the Yayoi's for example, who make frequent donations and send aid to Mantle for the people that needs them. Yet the image of a large metallic figure that's accompanying the woman like a guardian has gotten a good portion of Robyn's attention. Robyn is fully aware of the fact that people have weapons of all kinds in the world of Remnant. Yet there are too many similarities to Carl's own large mechanical doll that makes Robyn suspect that this is no coincidence.

"It's so sad isn't it?" Fiona said getting Robyn out of her train of thought.

"Oh, yeah, but I need you to be a bit specific Fiona." Robyn told Fiona

"These Mine workers, its bad enough that the people of Mantle have to endure such terrible hardships. But the Miners have to work in such dangerous conditions for too little pay. Now they have to deal with a noble who's actively abusing them and covering it up under Mining accidents." Fiona said in a somber tone

"I say we find that noble and teach him a lesson. The people have things hard enough as it is. Not to mention the Faunus who has to work in those mines." Joanne said voicing her frustration at the situation

"I know how you feel Joanne, but we need to remember something important. There is a big difference between knowing and proving and if we go after a noble recklessly. Then we won't be able to help anyone. I've heard the stories about what goes on in those mines. I've even heard more stories about the infamous Joffrey Baratheon. But we're not in a position to make an enemy of his family." Robyn told Joanne

"I know, but I just wish I can do something." Joanne said as she punched the nearby wall in frustration.

"At least that nice lady is helping the people by healing them. She's been coming for a couple of months now. It's good to see that not all Atlas nobles are bad." Fiona happily said while Robyn gave a concentrated gaze to the metallic doll. A gaze that May quickly noticed

"Your cautious of her too?" May asked Robyn

"It's too much of a coincidence May, a woman comes down from Atlas a couple of weeks ago and chooses to help the Miners asking for nothing in return. While accompanied by a mechanical doll. That's remarkably similar to the large doll of that that kid we met. When we were strong armed into participating in mission. It feels like we're being set up for something and I don't like it." Robyn voiced her frustrations and concerns regarding the situation

"Well why don't we just talk to her? I see what your saying Robyn, but she's helping a lot of people here by healing them. I can't explain it, but I have feeling that there is nothing malicious about her. At least by talking to her, we can put your worries about her to rest." Fiona suggested to Robyn

"That doesn't sound half bad. It'll at least show the nobles that we're trying to make an impression." Robyn said before the group started to approach Celica as the nun was finishing healing another Miner. Once the process was done Celica noticed the Happy Huntresses and greeted them with a smile

"Hello, are all of you coming back from a mission? I can spare a moment to heal you all if you want." Celica happily told the ladies

"We're fine, the reason we're here is because I'm a bit curious about you." Robyn told Celica

"Your curious about me?" Celica asked in a curious tone

"Its not often that someone from the Kingdom of Atlas comes to Mantle and help the people. Especially with what appears to be a healing semblance. We appreciate the additional help but we know nothing about you." Robyn told Celica causing the gentle woman to smile

"You remind me of one of my boys and I understand your caution. But rest assured, I am no threat to you or the people of Mantle. If anything, being here helping people makes me feel happy." Celica said before May spoke up

"You mentioned your boys just now. Do your kids stay in Atlas, what about your husband?" May asked Celica

"Oh, I'm not married, the kids that I'm talking about, I adopted them a long time ago. But I see them as my family and they are very important to me. Currently. only my daughter is in Atlas and she's in school right now. As for my boys, a few unfortunate circumstances have forced us to be separated. But I have hope that we'll be reunited as a family again." Celica explained to May while Robyn looked at the silver mechanical doll before she spoke up

"It's not often you see something like that large doll. Did you make it yourself?" Robyn asked

"No, it was a gift from my niece. We don't see eye to eye much but I do hear from her from time to time." Celica answered, causing Robyn to get closer to the doll. Before she got too close. Minerva reacted and generated electricity around its body.

"I don't see weapons line that very often. If I didn't know any better, it looks like it has a mind of its own." Robyn asked Celica in a curious tone

"Her name is Minerva, and she is pretty unique." Celica responded while on guard quickly realizing that Robyn is digging for answers. A brief second later, Fiona spoke up

"Thank you for taking time out of your day to help these miners. I wish there was some way we could repay you." Fiona told Celica in a grateful tone quickly changing the topic

"It's my pleasure, helping people always brings me joy and I take great delight in doing so. Seeing the people endure such terrible conditions makes my heart ache." Celica told Fiona with the other Huntresses nodding in agreement.

"We feel the same way, the people of Mantle needs us and it's infuriating to know that we can't do more to stop their suffering. Dangerous work conditions with pay that's not worth it. The people being exposed to danger all the time. Even the Atlas nobles showing too many times that they don't care about what happens to us." May explained to the group

"I know it's hard, but don't let your frustration consume your judgment. It may not look like it now, but knowing that you're helping the lives of the people here despite all the challenges. Makes things worth it now and again." Celica told the Huntresses

"Like the many times you've helped us heal for starters." A female Faunus said getting everyone's attention. While she was accompanied by Adam who is still in disguise.

"Welcome back, do you need me to heal you two?" Celica asked

"I'm good, but the usual suspect needs your healing." Tock told Celica as Adam stepped forward to get healed. While Adame was being healed, Tock noticed Robyn and the other Huntresses.

"So you're the Happy Huntresses I've heard so much about while we were working in the mines. The only ones who are doing something for the people of Mantle while standing against Atlas's actions." Tock told the Huntresses before she noticed May

"And you must be May Marigold. I never expected a noble to leave it all behind to stay with the rest of us." Tock told May

"Mantle needs me, and I don't like being compared to the Marigolds. So get this through your head, I am NOT their daughter." May replied in a frustrated tone

"My apologies, I was just curious and I meant no harm. Its just that we've had some bad experiences with nobles. Especially since one of the guards who is backed by a noble continued to attack us for every petty reason he can think of." Tock told the group

"Let me guess, the guard is backed by Joffrey." Robyn guessed in a tone that shows she knows

"Got it on the first guess. That Joffrey brat goes out of his way to make our work even harder. He even had his personal guard attack my buddy over there. Ever since that time, the supervising guard would attack us for petty reasons." Tock explained to the group which caused different reactions from the group. Fiona looked worried, while May and Joanna shared looks of frustrations.

"Things need to change, the nobles of the Atlas can't keep getting away with this." Robyn said voicing her frustration

"The problem is that the ones who can do something don't give a damn. Which makes things harder for all of us in Mantle." Joanna said in a frustrated tone before Celica was done healing another Miner. A few moments later, Ky was spotted as he started to approach the group. Once Ky was seen, Celica had a depressed look on her face.

"Oh no." Celica said before Ky reached the group

"Celica, its time for me to bring you back." Ky told Celica in a slightly worried tone

"Ky, I know the agreement is for me to be here for a few hours a day. But the people of Mantle need my help and I don't want to leave them like this." Celica said in a pleading tone

"I know how you feel, but please understand that this is for your safety. With everything that's been happening, you need to return to Atlas where you'll be safe." Ky told Celica with May speaking up

"Why does she need you to bring her back to Atlas? Unless the nobles don't trust us, which is a feeling that's very mutual." May told Ky

"I don't want any trouble from any of you. But if you must know, Celica is under General Ironwood's protection. Therefore, it was decided that I would serve as her escort. Besides, she has a terrible sense of direction and this is a good way to ensure that she will not get lost." Ky explained which got more of Robyn's attention

"Seems a little excessive for a humble woman. Surely you can tell me more than that." Robyn said as she reached out her hand

"I'm afraid that is all I can tell you. Besides, a friend of mine wouldn't forgive me if anything happened to her." Ky said before Celica spoke up

"I don't want to cause any trouble among us. I'll return to Atlas, I can just come back tomorrow." Celica told Robyn

"Thank you for your kindness and taking time help us Celica." Robyn said as she reached out her hand which Celica grabbed

"It's my pleasure." Celica said as she grabbed Robyn's hand before Ky could stop her. A brief second later, both ladies hands glowed light green which was quickly noticed

"Before I forget, I can't help but to be a little curious. Do you know if there are any large mechanical dolls like Minerva?' Robyn asked

"No, I can't say that there are." Celica answered causing Robyn's aura to have a reaction before Robyn let go.

"I'm sorry about that, I just wanted to see the condition of your aura. I know you want to come back tomorrow. But I don't want you to exert yourself. Fortunately, your green across the board, the only thing I picked up is that your nervous." Robyn told Celica

"Thank you for your concern, but I can assure you that I am perfectly capable of treating the people here. I see that your concerned for the people here but I am more than willing to help. Until tomorrow Robyn, I bid you and the other Huntresses a good day." Celica said before she left with Ky. A couple of minutes after they left, Robyn started to address the other Huntresses

"Find out whatever you can about that woman Celica." Robyn told the other Huntresses causing Fiona to give her a questioning look

"It looks like she wants to genuinely help us. What do you think is wrong with her?" Fiona asked in a concerned tone

"I see that she wants to help us. But there is something about her that doesn't seem right. For starters, why is it that a kind woman like her is under General Ironwood's protection? The only reason I can think of is that she is very important to someone in Atlas. In addition to that, her mechanical doll is too similar to that kid's from months ago." Robyn briefly explained to her group

"The very thing you think is an Aura Weapon?" Joanna asked

"Yes Joanna, you all heard and saw it. When I asked her about it directly when I was using my semblance, she lied about her knowledge of the weapon. So there's a decent chance that she's seen that purple mechanical doll. I don't want to think the worst of her, especially since she's helped the people of Mantle demanding nothing in return. But I can't carelessly put the people in danger. Especially since the Beast of Remnant is still out there." Robyn explained further to the group

"I understand, we'll investigate her as much as we can." Joanna told Robyn

"The dust we got from that mine deposit can't last forever. But the people of Mantle needs it and we're running out of options and time. My campaign is a big step in the right direction. But we still need to be careful, especially with Captain Hazama." Robyn told the group

"Did something happen?" Fiona asked in a curious tone

"Before Carl left us, his purple doll had a message for us. It told us to not trust Captain Hazama. Because that man is extremely dangerous. If that is true, then I can only imagine what we've gotten ourselves into." Robyn said before the group left. Unknown to them, Adam and Croc was watching them this entire time

"Think they'll be a problem?" Croc asked Adam

"No, from what I gather, the Happy Huntresses already have their hands full. As long as we don't draw attention to ourselves, then they won't be any problem for us." Adam told Croc

"That's good, but I noticed that you have your eyes on that kindly woman who's healing everyone. Think she has some kind of ulterior motive?" Croc asked in a teasing tone

"What else is there, no human in the world is that kind. Cruelty is human nature, the kinder the individual. The better they are at hiding it. They all need to pay for what they've done to us." Adam angrily said as he looked at himself in a reflection on a water puddle. While paying direct attention at the scar on his face

"I'm not arguing that point, its easy for people to forget the natural cruelty of humans when a few good humans come along." Croc told Adam

"That's because our Faunus brothers and sisters are misled by the humans. The humans need to pay for their crimes and learn their place. Which is beneath us, the superior species. With me leading the charge towards the new future for our kind." Adam explained to Croc

"Then explain why you're working with Terumi and my master? I don't care either way, but I want to know your train of thought. So I can know the best way to work with you." Croc told Adam

"A necessary compromise, nothing more than that. The plan is in motion and once the time to act has begun. Atlas shall fall and our triumph will be within reach." Adam stated to Croc

"Whose triumph, the Faunus, White Fang, or your revenge?" Croc asked earning Adam's glare

"The victory will be for the Faunus. Once Atlas fall, humanity won't be far behind. Then we will take our rightful place in the world." Adam told Croc

"Good conviction, just don't lose sight of it." Croc told Adam before the two left

(The Yard)

Once Hazama's offer was accepted, everyone made plans to get ready to go to Atlas early in the morning. Jaune was happy to know that with the captain's help, everyone will be able to travel to the Kingdom without any problems. Unfortunately, there is too much that's occupying Jaune's mind that's preventing him from sleeping. First are the details of how the war against Salem started and that Salem is immortal. He knew that the mission was not going to be easy. However, keeping such a major detail from those that trusted him rubbed him the wrong way. Which prevents them from trying to come up with a long-term solution with Salem's immortality taken into account. That doesn't involve being on the defensive for so long. Yet the more Jaune thought about it, the more he realized that a crucial fact was staring him in the face. Though before he could do anything, he woke up Makoto and brought her outside so they could be alone.

"This better be good Jaune. One of the silver linings to not being in school anymore is that I can get a full 8 hours of sleep without the stress of classes." Makoto said in a tired tone while rubbing her eyes

"I wouldn't have woken you up if it wasn't important. I just need your support in something I just realized." Jaune told Makoto

"Alright I'll bite, what did you realize?" Makoto asked while shaking off her drowsiness

"It's about Kokonoe, I've been thinking about everything Ruby told us. If my hunch is right, we might get some answers." Jaune said before he brought out his scroll

"Kokonoe, I don't have a way to call you but I know your listening in on me. I know everything and you do too, don't you?" Jaune said which got more of Makoto's attention

"What do you mean Jaune?" Makoto asked

"Every time I would speak with Kokonoe when she isn't ordering me around. She would always say not to trust Ozpin. At first, I couldn't fully understand why. But when I think about everything we've learned about Salem and how all this started. I realize that Kokonoe knew about his immortality. She always knew something that we didn't and this is a very big possibility." Jaune explained to Makoto before his scroll lit up

"So you finally pieced it together. I guess you do have something that passes for a brain." Kokonoe said over the scroll after hacking it

"If you knew all this, then why didn't you see it fit to tell us?" Makoto angrily asked the scientist

"Because I didn't want to and I don't owe you a damn thing." Kokonoe responded which angered Jaune and Makoto.

"Your going to give me some answers here and now." Jaune demanded in a bold tone

"Or what?" Kokonoe responded

"Or you will lose Lambda." Jaune responded while getting a surprised look from Makoto

"Stop bluffing, we both know you won't and can't do anything to her." Kokonoe responded

"That was before everything, but now everything is different and we will not tolerate this secrecy anymore. Especially since you need her." Jaune told Kokonoe

"What happens to Lambda doesn't affect me in the slightest." Kokonoe told Jaune

"But you still need her to keep an eye on Ragna. Because everyone on Remnant has their sights on Ragna. You need to be in a position where you can be given updates on him as frequent as possible. Lambda is your best chance at maintaining knowledge on him. But if you lose Lambda, then you lose your surveillance of Ragna. I hate to do it to Lambda, but I will not endanger my friends. Especially since you made it clear she is another one of your tools." Jaune explained to Kokonoe with a lingering silence before she spoke.

"Well, the knight has shown his blade. Okay, I concede, I'll give you an answer but nothing more than that." Kokonoe told Jaune before he spoke

"Are you an ally with Terumi?" Jaune asked oblivious the murderous aura from Kokonoe that's radiating from her at the mention of his name

"No, one of my long-term plans involves me killing that son of a bitch. I want him dead, not beaten, not hospitalized. I want him dead, I want him to suffer in unspeakable ways as he dies." Kokonoe angrily said that made Jaune and Makoto share a nervous look

"Then who could have altered the Relic?" Makoto asked getting Kokonoe's attention

"Altered the Relic, what are you talking about?" Kokonoe asked

"Ruby tried asking the lamp about Terumi. But when she did, the lamp couldn't tell her anything." Jaune told Kokonoe causing her to think for a moment before responding

"Wait a second, it should be impossible for Terumi to do something to the Relic. Unless he . . . damn it, so that's what he's planning." Kokonoe muttered before Jaune spoke up

"Do you know what's going on?" Jaune asked

"You gave me a big piece to this puzzle I'm trying to figure out. Now a few more things are starting to make sense. I don't know if it was dumb luck or a rare stroke of brilliance." Kokonoe told Jaune

"Does it have something to do with the Three Azures, the reason why Noel was attacked?" Makoto said in a frustrated tone at remembering what happened

"It does, but nothing is concrete. Still since you gave me good info and I have a lot to prepare for." Kokonoe said before she hung up

"Hey what do you . . . . and she's gone." Jaune told Makoto

"At least we learned something, its not much but its better than nothing. Still, I didn't think you had it in you to threaten her like that. Though I am glad it didn't come to that. Since she wouldn't have gone down without a fight." Makoto told Jaune before he looked at her with guilt

"Honestly, that was a bluff. I didn't think it would work and I'm glad she didn't catch it. But I didn't have any ideas so I just figured. What did we have to lose." Jaune answered

"Well played Jaune, now let's get back inside. I want to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere before we get to Atlas and that's another headache in its entirety." Makoto said before they went back to the house

(Kokonoe's Lab)

Upon hearing that the Relic has been altered, far too many pieces started to come together in Kokonoe's mind. While she doesn't have a concrete idea on what Terumi is after. She figured out enough details to know that potential targets. With Relius being part of Salem's inner circle and Terumi doing what he pleases. She realizes that as things stands, she needs to take immediate action or else everything will be for nothing.

"Tager!" Kokonoe said over a comm channel

"I can hear you loud and clear Kokonoe." Tager responded

"What is your current location?" Kokonoe asked

"I'm a few clicks away from Solitas, currently investigating the whereabouts of Dr. Merlot." Tager answered

"There's been a change of plans. That scientist is no longer a priority. You're going to make your way to Vacuo." Kokonoe told Tager

"Months ago, you were adamant on your interests in Atlas. Why the sudden change in directive?" Tager asked

"I learned something that informs me that if I maintain my interest in Atlas. A lot of things will be a bit problematic. So rather than try to fix a problem that's essentially dead in the water. I'm going to focus my time on fixing a problem that we can do something about right now. Before any of it bites us in the ass later down the road." Kokonoe explained

"I see, I apologize for being blunt but don't you think it's a bit premature to give up on Atlas before we can even do anything?" Tager asked in a concerned tone

"It is, but the problem is that a certain piece of shit I've been trying to kill has made his move. Unfortunately, the moves he made has been planned out thoroughly and he has help from someone I'm not ready for yet. If we fight it as things are now, we're going to lose . . . badly. So right now, I need to look at the big picture and do something now. Any other questions?" Kokonoe explained to Tager

"Just one, what will I do when I get to Vacuo?" Tager asked

"Your mission is to find the Summer Maiden. With everything that's happened, I imagine Shade's Headmaster Professor Theordore will want to secure the Maiden. Once you see her, I want you to give me frequent updates. If you see anything sketchy, secure her and bring her back to Sector Seven. As for what's sketchy, use your best judgment. Do you understand?" Kokonoe explained

"Roger, I am to go to Vacuo and identify the Summer Maiden and monitor the situation with both the Kingdom and the School. If something looks suspicious to the best of my judgment. I am to retrieve the Summer Maiden and bring her to Sector 7 at my discretion." Tager responded

"Good, the sooner you get there the better." Kokonoe said before she cuts off communication before she started to think about a few things

"The Relic of knowledge has been altered. I know who I saw when they were attacked but who were the other person. Terumi is capable of altering the Relic, but why erase their memories and leave them the Relic. Unless someone else can alter the Relic, damn it, I hate to admit it. But that little brat needs to know, she might have an idea as to who that person is. Though if my hunch is right, we're walking into an even bigger shitstorm." Kokonoe said to herself before she started to shout while glowing

"Hey Rachel, I know you can hear me you little brat. Get down here right now. I got some info that you need to hear!" Kokonoe yelled before she was teleported away in a black whirlwind of roses

(The Rose Garden)

Once Kokonoe appeared in the Rose Garden, she saw Rachel drinking tea with Valkenhayne and her familiars present with her. Kokonoe hated dealing with Rachel and the thought of having to go to her makes her sick to her stomach. Which is why if the Faunus is to ever interact with the Vampire, it will be on her terms and nothing else.

"You could have easily teleported to this location with your natural abilities. Do you truly hate magic that much that you would deny your own birthright?" Rachel asked while drinking her tea

"Better to deny it and create something better than to allow it to rule me. Maybe if you got off your damn high horse for once. You'll see how the world is instead of judging us. But wait, you have your head so far up your own ass you can't even do that." Kokonoe angrily responded which angered Valkenhayne

"Kokonoe, out of respect for your parents I will let that comment slide. However, I will not allow further disrespect towards Madame Rachel." Valkenhayne said in an angry tone

"It is fine Valkenhayne, given what Kokonoe has tossed aside. I can allow her to vent her bitterness. Still for her to demand an audience in such a crude manner. She must be desperate for aid, or bored beyond words." Rachel said

"Your right, I didn't come here for a migraine, I need to tell you something. I don't like repeating myself so listen up blood sucker." Kokonoe said before she continued

"You already know that Terumi made his move didn't you?" Kokonoe asked knowing the answer

"I did, he is working with Relius and Salem, though to what end I can only guess. Every attempts to observe him has been blocked. Though I know some extent of his activities, I don't know all of them." Rachel told Kokonoe

"Well this will be informative for you, the Relic of knowledge has been altered. To ensure that nobody can learn about Terumi." Kokonoe said causing Rachel to stop drinking her tea.

"Hmm, if that is true then you have provided me with crucial detail that is worth my time. I would thank you, but your reason for informing me of this is far from altruistic. Since you did this with the intent to further your plans for revenge." Rachel told Kokonoe which angered the Scientist

"Then tell me what you figured out, I'll get my revenge with or without your help!" Kokonoe yelled causing Valkenhayne to tense up before Rachel stopped him and started to speak

"As you suspect it is possible for Terumi to alter the Relic. However, it will not be in his interest to do so. Because if he does he will unintentionally destroy the Relic. There is another being that can alter it and ensure the Relic's survival. Which also explains the shift in balance between life and death. I strongly suspect it is the Goddess of Death, Izanami. I've had some suspicions that she's been active but I know nothing of her activities until you confirmed a different possibility. Now I'm certain as to why my attempts to observe has been blocked." Rachel briefly explained to Kokonoe

"Then why aren't you doing anything against her?" Kokonoe angrily asked

"Izanami's power easily surpasses my own. If I confront her, then it will not be a favorable outcome. Though I now see what the end goal is. Izanami wishes to bring the world to a state of eternal death. I believe she has established many means to do so. With Salem and Ozpin being among them. But before she can do anything she needs to remove a very powerful obstacle. How she plans to go about it is something I can only guess with no concrete facts. There is a lot for me to think about if a concrete strategy is to be formed." Rachel told Kokonoe

"Fine, you got what you need to know. Now send me back, unlike you I have to get back to work." Kokonoe told Rachel

"You will need more than your science to deal with the threats of this world." Rachel said before Kokonoe interrupted her

"Then that shows how little you know about science. I've done things with modern science than most morons on Remnant couldn't even imagine. Including but not limited to those vipers in Atlas and the Murakumo Labs. Magic is a crutch that we've been dependent on. Like a junkie looking for its next hit. Magic brought a lot of destruction and grief to our world and now everyone is paying the price. I will get my revenge, I will bring those bastards down and it will be done my way. Now send me back Rachel." Kokonoe said before she was sent back

"I am fully aware of the potential of science. But as long as you maintain your obsession with revenge. Then Science will be limited and serve as your crutch. Especially with your supposed trump card." Rachel said as she continued to drink her tea

(The path to the Base)

It is early in the morning and everyone is up and ready to go to the base and secure the airship thanks to Captain Hazama. As for the approach, it was agreed that Ragna, along with a small number of the group would wait near a cliff that's not too far from the base so he can be picked up. This would allow the large group to maintain the story of picking up the rest of their large group and do it without anyone knowing that Ragna was with the group. Once everyone was ready to go, the group left along with Saphron, Terra, and Cardin so they can be seen off. The fact that this is everything they need and more made everyone happy that after so many struggles, they will finally get a win. Unfortunately, not all of them are optimistic about this.

"Ruby, Jaune, are you two sure about this plan?" Amane asked in a concerned tone

"Of course we're sure, this is everything we need and more. After dealing with so many problems and set backs. We finally have a win under our belt." Ruby confidently responded

"I don't want to be a downer, but if something sounds too good to be true then it likely is. He doesn't know us that well and all of a sudden he gives us practically everything we want. An airship and a way to pick up Ragna without anyone getting suspicious. It is the very thing we needed and given to us in a timely manner. Doesn't this seem the least bit suspicious to any of you?" Amane asked in a concerned tone

"What are you trying to say Amane?" Jaune asked in a concerned tone

"For all we know, we could be walking into a trap. Its clear that he knew who was in the house. So don't you think its possible that he knows about Ragna and is setting us all up. I'm not fond of the plan to steal the airship. But there are times when its better to ask for forgiveness than permission." Amane explained his concerns to the group

"I know that Captain Hazama is creepy but he is not a liar. I've had to deal with all kinds of personnel from Atlas and a big irony is that Hazama is the only person who tells the truth." Terra told Amane

"Maybe he did know and wants to genuinely help us. It's easy to forget that there are kind and generous people in the world." Ruby added in

"Besides, Ragna is plenty strong and Qrow and the others with him. If something does happen I'm sure they can handle it." Jaune said causing Amane to begrudgingly accept the facts.

"Are you sure you don't want to come with us Cardin? We're dealing with a lot and I'm sure we could use the help." Jaune asked Cardin

"Nah, what you guys are dealing with is a bit over my head so I'll stick to what I know. Besides, more supplies are going to be sent to Vale and they'll need an escort. I'm going to see this through and continue to do some work with my team." Cardin said before Jaune spoke up

"Thanks again for helping back at Beacon. If you hadn't came then I would have . . . ." Jaune said before Cardin interrupted

"Don't worry about it, you did save me back at the Verivert Swamp and it's the least I can do." Cardin said before he was in deep thought for a moment

"I'm sorry about . . . . everything Jaune." Cardin said before Jaune touched his shoulder

"We've all made mistakes, some bigger than others. As long as we learn from them and be better. Then that is all that matters. If people don't forgive us for those mistakes, then we have to earn their forgiveness." Jaune told Cardin in a reassuring tone before all of them noticed that the base was within view.

"We're almost there, but where is captain Hazama?" Ren asked before a voice spoke up

"Right here waiting for all of you." Hazama said quickly getting everyone's attention

"All of you seem surprised, did you think I would leave you high and dry?" Hazama asked the group

"No, its just that you suddenly appeared and it just surprised us. We're all a bit on edge that's all." Ruby told Hazama causing the man to crack a smile

"Oh I understand, in this profession you have to be on guard all the time. One second of carelessness could mean your life. So don't feel bad about being cautious." Hazama said before he sent a brief glance to Amane that was unnoticed by everyone except Amane himself

"Can I assume the rest of your group are out getting supplies and will be picked up along the way?" Hazama asked knowing the answer

"Of course, we don't know what to expect so we can't be too careful." Ruby said in a nervous tone

"Well then, let us be on our way and get this show on the road." Hazama said as the group went towards the base

(Argus Military Base)

Once the group arrived at the base, all of them saw the twins Nubock dutifully standing guard at the entrance. A good portion of the group cringed at the thought of dealing with the commander of the base. However, Hazama remained calm and confident at the group's chances of success and started to approach them.

"Good morning, Captain Hazama." One of the Nubock Guard said

"How may we assist you?" The other Nubock guard said

"On this fine morning?" The twins said in perfect synch

"I'm glad to see you two doing your duty, but I am here on official business and I need to have a conversation with Specialist Cordovin." Hazama told the two causing them to briefly look at each other and spoke up

"We will get her." One of the Nubock guards said

"Please wait right here." The other guard said before they both went inside

"I hope this goes better than last time." Nora said

"Meow, especially when that cranky old lady is always mean and grumpy." Tao sad further

"Don't worry, I know just what to say to people like her." Hazama confidently said to the group

"How do you plan on convincing her to help us?" Jaune asked

"For starters, as Head of the intelligence department, my authority does outrank her. So it will be easy for me to use my authority to get her to comply. Fortunately for all of us, I have a more humbling way of doing this that won't require me to pull rank." Hazama briefly explained to the group

"So what way is that?" Nora asked in an impatient tone

"I'm going to use the rules against her. Because as it can be expected, I happen to know a few things about policy and procedure." Hazama said before the gates opened and Caroline Cordovin quickly appeared and smiled as she greeted the Head of the Intelligence Department

"Captain Hazama, what an unexpected and very pleasant surprise for you to pay our humble base a visit. Despite the questionable company that you have." Caroline said as she leaned to the side and saw the large group.

"While I appreciate the welcome, I am here on official business and it involves this particular group of travelers. It has come to my attention that this group has made a request to commandeer an airship to get too Atlas. Even though the border is closed, both Weiss Schnee and Jin Kisaragi are significant citizens of Atlas and as such would be allowed entry to return to their home Kingdom." Hazama explained to the Military specialist

"While I appreciate your presence, I believe that your misunderstanding the situation. I offered to allow only those two specific individuals entry to Atlas. With the border being closed, I can't possibly risk the security and safety of Atlas to those of questionable character." Cordovin responded causing Captain Hazama to make a deep sigh as he brought out his scroll. After spending a few seconds pressing a few buttons, he showed Caroline the scroll with some of the group seeing the contents. What is shown is team RWBY fighting in the tournament together.

"With all due respect Cordovin, if you did even a little bit of research. You could see that Weiss are teammates with these people. I also don't have to tell you the identity of Jin's teammates do I?" Hazama asked causing Caroline to look sideways in a bit of regret before Hazama continued

"Article V chapter 9 of the VIP clause clearly states that if an individual significant to Atlas wishes to return with individuals. Then they are free to do so under reasonable guidelines. I have been at Beacon for a bit and I can confirm that they are friends. So your suspicions are nothing short of paranoia. But since you refuse to accommodate them then I will give you a choice of scenarios which will end in one of two ways for you. First scenario, I can use my authority which surpasses your own to allow this large group to acquire an airship. While I file a report to the General which will have the heavy implications that you should retire. Costing you the position that you do have here. Or the second scenario, the official reports could say that you requested my assistance to put your caution to rest and showed that you did your due diligence while giving these heroes a chance to do good. Which will it be?" Hazama asked with a smirk causing the elderly woman to have a nervous look while Maria smiled at seeing the woman get put down by the very authority she wanted to please

"Well, when you put it that way. I suppose the latter scenario is more preferable." Cordovin nervously said before Hazama gave her a smile

"Excellent choice, I will be sure to inform the General your continued diligence. Oh and please remove Maria from the additional screening list, I believe 20 plus years is long enough to cover abnormalities don't you think so?" Hazama asked Cordovin causing Maria to have a grin on her face which Hazama noticed

"Maria, would you please not spend the rest of your time here agitating her? Technically speaking I know absolutely nothing about you and as such there is really no harm in me letting you stay here in Argus. So I recommend you act your age and be on your best behavior." Hazama said embarrassing the older woman. Before they went further into the base, Hazama turned to speak to Cordovin

"I know that the circumstances of your transfer here to Argus is less than preferable, but there are several silver linings that you should be grateful for. For starters, you are in charge of a Military Base. A position that many would kill for. Which shows that you are trusted a great deal to be the bridge of order between Atlas and Argus. Meanwhile, Atlas is a Kingdom filled with liars and due to the nature of my job. I have to deal with liars everyday, which very steadily gets on my nerves. Meanwhile you are in charge of a Military Base that serves to assist this humble little city with none of the headaches the Atlesian Nobles will bring. Some would say I want to switch jobs with you but we play the cards we're dealt with. So instead of wishing to be in a Kingdom that brings the worst out of people. You should be grateful for your blessings." Hazama explained to the Military Base Leader

"I see, I have much to think about Captain Hazama." Caroline said before she left

"Oh and one more thing, this group needs to make a pit stop to get the rest of their friends. But after that, it will be a straight trip to Atlas." Hazama told Caroline before she walked away with the Nubock Guards. Once Hazama was alone with the group, Hazama spoke to them.

"Consider the airship secured, the pit stop to pick up the rest of your friends is expected but as long as you don't do anything reckless you should be fine." Hazama told the group

"Well I guess this is goodbye." Saphron told Jaune in a somber tone while holding her son

"Yeah, I know staying is an option but I still need to see this mission through to the end. But I will still continue to do as much good as I can." Jaune told his older sister in an awkward tone

"I know, we all have our priorities. Just don't let our next reunion take such a long time. Remember, your always welcomed at my home." Saphron said as the two hugged each other

"I love you sis." Jaune told Saphron

"I love you too bro, next time you visit. You should introduce me to your girlfriend, who knows, she might even cook for us." Saphron said

"YOU DON'T WANT THAT!" Nora yelled before Jaune approached Cardin

"Hey Cardin, we never had the chance to talk ever since you helped us. I know its not much, but thank you." Jaune told Cardin

"Don't sweat it Jauney Boy, you saved me from that Grimm so I figured I should act like a hero too." Cardin said as he chuckled before he continued to talk

"Before I forget, I know you probably hate my guts. But for everything I've done to you at Beacon, I'm sorry." Cardin said before Jaune tapped his shoulder

"We all make mistakes some bigger than others. Next time, we should have a sparring match to show how much we've grown and improved." Jaune said before he left with the two on respectable terms

"I still have my own duties to fulfill, so this where we part ways. I wish you and your friends the best of luck. Remember, this path is not for the faint of heart. But I know you can do it." Hazama said before Ruby approached him

"Thank you for trusting us, you don't know how much we needed this." Ruby said in grateful tone

"Now don't worry your pretty little head about this. Just do what you believe is right to the absolute best of your abilities and that will be all the thanks I need. Now run along and believe in yourself." Hazama said before he left the group. It didn't take him long to get away from everyone and once he is out of sight and sound. Neo appeared near him with her arms crossed

"Patients Neo, in the stage of life. All the actors have to play their part. I merely needed to give them what they needed to get to Atlas. Though what my next role is will depend entirely on a reunion between siblings." Hazama said before he brought out his binoculars

(The Cliffs)

The moment the sun rose and a plan was formed, it was agreed that Qrow, Blake, Yang, and Lambda would be with Ragna while they wait for further updates. If all goes well, then it will be easy for the group to board an airship without drawing attention to themselves. Though if anything goes wrong, then they will be in a position to help the others with anything that could happen. As the group was waiting for an update, Ragna was deep in thought about everything he's learned recently. Along with the fact that in a few moments, Ragna will be reunited with Celica. The thought of being reunited with his adopted mother fills Ragna with a sense of worry. For starters, Ragna doesn't know if Celica has fully recovered or not. He also doesn't know what became of Jubei after he went with Winter. Adding to his worries is that he doesn't know how his younger sister Saya is doing. Though whether or not he should tell them what he learned is something he is still concerned about. Once Ragna makes it to the Kingdom, protecting his family will be his top priority. As Ragna was in deep thought, Qrow approached the group while putting his scroll in his pocket.

"For once, I have some good news for us. It looks like the head of the intelligence department has pulled through for us. Ruby and the others got an airship and soon they will be here to pick us up. It's going to be a bit but we won't have to wait too long." Qrow told the group

"Everything is going well for us. Which is honestly nice for once." Yang said before she took a concerned glance at Ragna while he is deep in thought

"What's the plan when we get to Atlas?" Blake asked

"We touch-base with General Ironwood, if he hasn't turned against us like Leo then we could secure the Relic and come up with a long-term plan. James recent decisions doesn't look good to the rest of Remnant. So I hope he knows what he's doing." Qrow briefly explained

"What do we do if he has turned against us?" Yang asked her uncle

"Then we better get ready to fight against an army. Though if the other Kingdoms decides to take action against Atlas. Then we could have another war on our hands. We won't know for certain until we make it to Atlas." Qrow said as he was thinking about the many possible scenarios that could occur

"How do you think he will react to the things you've learned?" Yang asked

"Honestly, I can only guess. But if he takes it well, then he will know that Noel needs to be protected since she has one of the three Azures. With two of the three Azures in Atlas. James will need to be cautious, since Terumi will catch wind of this sooner or later. Not to mention what Salem might try to do." Qrow told the group before he continued

"Along with the aforementioned problems, we still don't know how he will take to Ragna. Since the only thing we know is that he sent Winter to bring Ragna to Atlas." Qrow told the group

"If I knew that I was going to end up in Atlas after dealing with Cinder, I would have went along with Winter and saved myself the trouble. At least it beats being captured by Salem's lackeys." Ragna said Lambda felt a slight headache and a figure jumped down from a nearby tree. Once everyone saw who it was, they saw that it was Tyrian. At the sight of the scorpion Faunus, Everyone grabbed their weapons and was prepared to attack him

"I am honored to see that you remember me Beast of Remnant." Tyrian happily told the group

"Tyrian, did you come to avenge Cinder, or get your ass kicked? You'll wind up dead either way." Ragna said

"Cinder wishes I give enough of a damn about her to even entertain the notion of avenging her death. As for our little fight, remember that it was the enemy of the Goddess who has slain me. However, I have been granted an upgrade, so I am more than willing to follow our divine Savior's will. However, I did not come here to pick up where we left off. I am merely here for a humbling reunion. Most people would be pleased at the notion of seeing their siblings again." Tyrian said before a cloaked figure started to walk into view as it approached the group. At the sight of the figure, Ragna felt a strong pain within his chest and once the figure removed her cloak, it was revealed to be Nu.

"My Ragna, I knew we would be reunited again ever since Beacon." Nu happily said upon seeing Ragna. Though when she noticed the other people that's with him, she has a look of disinterest.

"Your also accompanied by people that are nothing more than delays from us becoming one. Even the one who tried to take you from me that day. I should have aimed for your neck when I cut off your arm." Nu said as she looked at Yang

"YOU!" Yang yelled as she tried to get to Nu with her red eyes, only to be held back by Qrow and Blake

"Yang, this is the last thing we need. I know what she did to you, but you have to calm down." Qrow told Yang in a pleading tone

"THIS MONSTER CUT OFF MY ARM! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT ME TO DO, LET IT GO!?" Yang angrily responded

"We still have a task to do, don't forget the others." Qrow told Yang which calmed her down upon remembering that the others will arrive soon

"This is your one chance to settle this Ragna." Yang stated to Ragna while maintaining a glare at Nu before Ragna stepped forward

"Nu, I know what you endured. I know you experienced pure hell in those labs and nobody was there to help you. Nobody gave a damn about you and you weren't save from that hell. You never had a chance at a normal life but I know its not too late. Please Nu, give me a chance to help you, I know there's blood on your hands but you deserve better than this. Come on Nu, give me a chance to save you." Ragna told Nu in a concerned tone, a few seconds later. Nu made a brief chuckle before she started to laugh

"Hehehehehehe, hahahahahaha. Oh I knew it. I always knew that my Ragna cared about me. But if your worried about what I've lived through in those labs. Then allow me to put you at ease, because those days doesn't matter anymore." Nu told the group causing some of them to be shocked before she continued to speak

"Not long after I destroyed that lab, I have come to a realization regarding the truth of this world. The truth is that life is ultimately meaningless. Especially in the face of the world itself." Nu bluntly said which shocked the group except for Tyrian before she continued

"When I endured those experiments back in that lab, everyone ignored my cries and pleas for help. The pain is unbearable and I have to remember those moments for as long as I live. Yet the only thing that kept me going is the thought of you Ragna. The visions of you has allowed me to endure those experiments and the memories that torments me to this very day. Yet when the visions have stopped, I realized that life is ultimately meaningless. Due in no small part to my experience." Nu explained before she continued to explain

"The world has allowed me to suffer for my entire life. The world still allows the Grimm to exist. Even the cause of my suffering has been allowed to exist by the world and my pain will continue for as long as I live. Yet the only thing that is worth living for is the chance to claim you, my precious Ragna. If I die, I will be free, yet once I claim you. Then I will have my ultimate reward, since the only thing that matters to me is you. You will be my reward for all that I've endured, if the world is destroyed in the process, then that's fine too. Because this world deserves to be punished, for allowing me to suffer. But I've learned to accept what happened, because it showed me that I need to have the will to get what I want and that is you." Nu finished explaining to the group

"Nu, there is more to the world than pain and suffering. You have to see that." Ragna told Nu which went ignored

"I realize now that their are others who will keep you from me. So I must do what I need to do, to ensure that you are mine. For my first target, I did say that I should have aimed for her neck." Nu said before she glanced at Yang and ran towards her in a blinding speed.

In a split second, Yang was able to notice Nu and was able to block an oncoming sword attack. Though the attack was blocked, Yang was knocked back a small distance and despite doing so, she was able to quickly regain her footing and proceeded to attack Nu with her rapid punches. Unfortunately, each of the punches were quickly and easily dodged and once Nu noticed an opening. She summoned another sword and tried to attack Yang at her torso.

Fortunately, Yang was prepared to block the attack this time and after blocking the sword attack. Yang proceeded to make several gauntlet blasts at the younger girl. Like before Nu proceeded to dodge the blasts though before anything could be done further. Nu instinctively side stepped to avoid an attack by Blake. After avoiding the attack, Nu stabbed Blake with her sword. Only for it to turn to ice and quickly froze Nu.

After seeing that Nu is frozen, Yang charged towards her with the intent to land a powerful punch against her. Unfortunately, Nu used her second semblance to summon a circle under Yang and her movements were heavily slowed down as a result. A split second later, Nu broke out of the ice and landed a direct sword attack against Yang which knocked her back. Luckily Yang was fine but knew that bringing her down is going to be a lot harder than they thought.

"Yang!" Qrow yelled in a concerned tone as he tried to get to his niece. Only for Tyrian to jump in front of him and attack him with his wrist-blades. Attacks which Qrow proceeded to avoid before wielding his sword

"Let's let them hash this out while we have our own fun." Tyrian said before he proceeded to attack Qrow with his tail. Forcing the veteran Huntsman to block the attacks and after doing so succeeded in kicking the Faunus which launched him back. Once distance was made between the two. Qrow proceeded to blast him with Harbinger, forcing Tyrian to avoid the gun shots and get closer to Qrow. Once he was close, the two clashed blades.

Nu found herself on the defensive avoiding Yang and Blake's attacks. Their coordination is not only keeping the younger girl off balance. But the strategy is clear, one would land attacks as much as possible while the other would focus on defending against Nu's attacks. With the added bonus of preventing her from attacking and limit her options. Because despite her skill and power, she does have limits. Though the question is how long can this be kept up?

A question that will soon have its answer, since Nu proceeded to summon several swords above them and forced them to make distance between them and Nu. Once distance was made, Nu focused on attacking Blake. Since her versatile semblance is a big problem. Blake quickly found herself on the defensive and it wouldn't be long until Yang made an attempt to attack Nu. Before Yang's attack could land, Nu launched several swords at her and succeeded in knocking her back. Immediately after Yang was knocked back, Nu landed several attacks against Blake and as a result she was knocked back as well. Before Nu could do anything further to either of them. Lambda attacked Nu and the two girls fought against each other with their respective weapons.

"I see you come from the labs as well. Let's see if you can be broken." Nu said before she increased the intensity of her attacks. Against Lambda which knocked her down. Shortly afterwards, she found herself blocking Ragna's attacks.

Nu held a euphoric look on her face as she was fighting against Ragna. Every second spent fighting Ragna fills Nu with nothing but pure joy and bliss. Yet despite the pure happiness that's evident on Nu's face, the young girl is holding her own against her older brother in terms of both strength and speed. Another thing that's clear upon closer inspection of the fight is that the both of them are holding back but for different reasons. Ragna's reason is that he doesn't want to draw additional attention to themselves since they all still need to get to Atlas. Nu's reason is that she wants to enjoy the seconds with Ragna as much as possible.

"This is how its supposed to be Ragna. Just you and me, only the two of us. Without anyone trying to get in the way. I will destroy anyone who will stand between us, like that wretched Cinder." Nu said which surprised Ragna

"What?" Ragna said in a questioning tone before the both of them jumped away from from each other

"I felt it when Cinder tried to kill you. She needed to pay for getting between us and I made sure of it. She screamed, pleaded for her life but I ended her existence. The appropriate price for those who will step between us. I will kill anyone who threatens that." Nu happily said to a shocked Ragna

"Damn it, how much damage did the labs do to make your mind broken? Hell, I didn't even kill Cinder." Ragna said before Nu quickly used her sword to block several blasts from Yang. After the blasts were blocked, Yang, Blake, and Lambda stood near Ragna which got him out of his train of thought

"Blake how much ice dust do you have left?" Ragna asked causing Yang to give him a surprised glare

"I have two cartridges left, but she can break out of the ice easily." Blake told Ragna

"At full strength she can break out of the ice. But if she's weakened and knocked out. It will make capturing her a lot easier." Ragna told Blake causing Yang to speak up

"You can't be serious Ragna, she made it clear she doesn't care about anything. So why are you still determined to save her. Don't forget that she took my arm and I can't let that go." Yang told Ragna

"You also saw what she endured, would you feel the same way if it was your sister. Remember, nobody was there for her when she needed it. Now I'm going to find a way to help her. Or I'll die trying, I already failed my family enough." Ragna told Yang in an intense and bold tone causing Yang to shake her head

"She's fixated on you, we can use that to our advantage. Continue to make pot shots and dwindle her aura. Once Nu's aura flickers, you and me will deliver a strong blow that will break her aura completely. After that Blake will use the ice dust to freeze her. If we're lucky we can do this before the others get here." Yang explained to the others

"We also have another advantage, like me she has a seal that suppresses her strength and aura. As long as she doesn't release it and armor up. We can keep up with her. But if she releases her seal, then we will draw a lot of attention to us." Ragna explained to the group

"Including the Grimm." Blake said while silently agreeing with the plan

"One more thing, we have to be careful not to kill Nu. Otherwise Ragna will get killed too." Yang stated with everyone nodding before dashing towards Nu.

As expected, Nu focused the majority of her attacks against Ragna. As a result of this, both Lambda and Blake fired at Nu while she was focused on Ragna. When Nu heard the gunshots. She attempted to bock the shots with her swords. Unfortunately for her, this allowed both Ragna and Yang to land several hits against Nu and this left her staggered. Nu attempted to recover and attack Yang, however this proved to be useless since Ragna blocked Nu's attacks and gave Yang a window to attack Nu with a barrage of attacks.

After Nu was knocked back due to the attack barrage, she summoned several swords and launched them at her attackers. This did give Nu a chance to recover but it didn't last since Ragna threw his weapon at Nu after transforming it into a scythe. Reacting quickly, Nu had to block the thrown weapon but after blocking it, this allowed Yang to hit her with a gauntlet blast and it knocked Nu back further. Ensuring that she won't take this chance to recover, both Lambda and Blake continued to fire on her forcing Nu to block with her swords. This didn't last too long, since both Ragna and Yang proceeded to attack and eventually overwhelm Nu. Once Nu was knocked back one more time. Yang stood above her.

"On the strength of Ragna, I am giving this one chance to surrender despite what you've done to me. Ragna wants to help you and you are outmatched. Surrender, there is nothing you can do now." Yang said while glaring at Nu causing the younger girl to chuckle

"Hahahaha, you'll be amazed at what I can do." Nu said before she summoned several swords beneath them, forcing them to jump back.

Once space was made, Nu summoned several swords at both Ragna and Yang and being unable to dodge them in time. They were forced to block the barrage of swords. While this happened, Nu quickly ran towards Blake and Lambda and proceeded to attack them at an intense speed. Both Blake and Lambda did the best they could to attack the unstable girl. However, Nu slowly proved to be too much for the two as she steadily overwhelmed them. Blake tried to use her semblance to distract Nu and catch her off guard. Unfortunately, Nu isn't the type of person to fall for the same trick twice so easily and once the duplicate was seen. Nu increased the intensity of her attacks against Lambda.

While Nu was fighting Lambda, Blake tried fore at Nu. Only for her to dodge the gunshots and dash towards Blake at an intense speed. Once Nu got close, she proceeded to attack with a powerful slash. Only for Blake to narrowly block the attack with her own weapon. Only for it to be broken shortly afterwards. Before Nu could attack Blake further, she moved out of the way of both Ragna's and Yang's consecutive attacks.

"I can still use my gun but the sword is no good now." Blake told the others. Before any of them could do anything, Lambda felt an immense headache and almost fell to the ground. When this was seen, Blake and Yang shared a concerned look. Yet Ragna remembered this happening before and the last time this did happen something unexpected happened.

"WE HAVE TO GO NOW! The last time Lambda felt like this is when . . . ." Ragna tried to warn before another voice was heard

"EMPTY SKY TRUE FORM!" The voice yelled before Ragna blocked the sword slash.

After blocking the attack, Ragna was knocked back but was forced to recover quickly at the sight of Hakumen dashing towards him with his sword. Reacting quickly, Ragna deflected Hakumen's attack with his own sword. Immediately afterwards, Ragna and Hakumen fought against each other with their swords. Shortly afterwards, they each held their ground against each other.

"Did you think you could escape me so easily beast?" Hakumen asked while locking blades against Ragna

"No you masked freak, if anything, I was wondering what took you so long." Ragna responded before pushing Hakumen's sword away pushed him away with a shoulder bash. Once Hakumen was pushed away, Ragna attempted to attack him with his sword. Only for Hakumen to easily block it and afterwards, he proceeded to hit Ragna with an uppercut punch and staggered Ragna. Once Ragna was staggered, Hakumen landed a strong horizontal slash against Ragna. Due to the attack, Ragna was knocked back but quickly had to use his sword to block a downward sword attack from Hakumen.

"The time for you to die has come Beast." Hakumen said as he increased his strength. Right when Ragna was about to take his chances and release his seal. Something unexpected happened. What happened was that Hakumen was given a direct hit by a fire blast. When everyone looked to see where it came from. They all saw that it came from Sol Badguy.

"Good thing I kept an eye on you guys." Sol said as he looked at Hakumen.

"Sol, am I glad to see you." Ragna happily said

"Same, but we'll catch up later." Sol said as he was focused on Hakumen after he recovered from the attack

"Who are you?" Hakumen asked

"Isn't obvious?" Sol said as he cracked his neck

"I'm the guy that's gonna kick your ass." Sol said s he charged towards Hakumen

Once the two got close, each sword attack that was made was met with either a parry and feint. Sol didn't back down from his attacks but neither did Hakumen. This continued for a few more seconds until they locked blades against each other. The blade lock lasted a few seconds until they took a quick step back and made a strong sword attack against each other. Only for the both of them to be disarmed as a result. Once both Sol and Hakumen was disarmed. They proceeded to fight against each other with their fists.

Sol succeeded in landing a few blows but this lasted for a few seconds. Afterwards, Hakumen blocked one of Sol's punches and landed a strong blow against Sol's stomach. Once the punch landed, Hakumen was able to land a strong kick against Sol and was able to knock him back. It didn't take long for both of them to reclaim their swords and once they did they each launched a sword wave against each other. The moment the attacks clashed, Hakumen quickly blocked Ragna's attack. Though when he did so, this gave Sol a window to attack Hakumen with his own sword and shortly afterwards. The White Void found himself on the defensive against both Sol and Ragna.

This lasted for a few seconds, since eventually. Hakumen was in a position where he can lock blades with both Sol and Ragna and once the blades were locked. Hakumen used a good deal of his strength to push their swords back and once he did so. Hakumen landed several intense sword attacks against both Ragna and Sol at an intense speed. Once the attack barrage stopped. Hakumen attacked the both of them at the same time and knocked them away.

Before Hakumen could do anything further, he wielded his sword and blocked a barrage of summoned swords that was aimed at him. The veteran warrior succeeded in blocking the attack. However, this also meant that he had gotten Nu's attention. Which is evident by the intense glare that the younger girl was giving him.

"I see, so you are the one who contains the other half of the Black Beast." Hakumen said as he returned the glare

"You are the one who put my Ragna in danger. I will kill you for getting in the way of me and my Ragna." Nu stated as she summoned her sword to wield it. Though before either of them could do anything, Yang stepped between them with the intent to address Hakumen. The blonde brawler knows who Hakumen really is, which means that there must be a chance that she can get through to him. No matter how small that chance is.

"Hakumen, I know you want Ragna dead, the entire world wants Ragna dead. But don't you think you owe to him to find another way to solve all of this. After all, don't you owe him that much as a brother, Jin." Yang said which got more of everyone's attention, including Sol and Tyrian

"So, you know my ties to the beast." Hakumen stated to Yang

"Ragna has made a lot of mistakes, I know that on a personal level. But shouldn't you at least give him a chance to do some good for the world. I don't think he had any say in getting the power that has. Such as Nu, your own younger sister didn't have any say in what she endured in the Murakumo Labs." Yang stated to Hakumen

"Listen well Yang Xiao-Long, if you believe that family ties will stay my blade. Then you know nothing about me. I will kill the beast and I will do it in service to the world. You are speaking as a child who does not know the true horror that the Black Beast is capable of. An experience that I have lived through and will see to it to ensure its death. And I will not let anyone stand in my way. Not even you." Hakumen said causing Yang to launch herself at Hakumen and proceeded to punch him

Hakumen proceeded to block the punches with ease and made several attempts to attack Yang. Reacting quickly, the brawler was able to avoid each of the sword attacks and attacked Hakumen whenever she could. Unfortunately, the White Void was able to both avoid and endure each of the punches. This lasted for a few seconds until Hakumen blocked one of Yang's punches and immediately afterwards, he kicked Yang away from him. Once Yang recovered, she stood on guard but quickly realized that she is without her prosthetic arm. Evident by the sight of Hakumen holding it. Before Yang could do anything, Hakumen crushed the prosthetic arm, utterly destroying it and making it useless now.

"Stand down Yang, you have fought valiantly. But for the sake of the world, the Beast must die. It doesn't matter to me whether its by killing Ragna or Nu. It is not my wish or intention to spill the blood of the innocent." Hakumen stated causing Yang to stand up and take up a fighting stance with her only arm

"I gave in to my rage and pain and turned my back on the people that needed me once. I'm not doing it again. Give me your best shot Hakumen." Yang stated to the warrior

"You misunderstand, you are not my target." Hakumen stated which made Yang realize what Hakumen plans to do

Immediately afterwards, Hakumen dashed towards Ragna. Sol attempted to stop Hakumen. Unfortunately, he was unable to do so and was quickly knocked away. Shortly afterwards, Hakumen was able to get closer to Ragna and was close to attacking him. Though before Hakumen could attack as Ragna braced to counter. An all too familiar glyph protected Ragna and a burst of roses moved Ragna away. A brief second later, Ruby brought Ragna closer to Yang and it was clear that despite the airship being far away despite being in sight. Ruby used her semblance to make it to them prepared to fight and help them.

"Are you alright sis, I'm sorry it took me so long to get here. The airship will get here soon." Ruby said as she gave Hakumen a focused glare that also hides some sympathy knowing who he truly is

"I'm fine sis, I just wish I had a moment to look cool in front of you." Yang said jokingly before they all saw the current threats. Tyrian who is currently fighting against Qrow, Hakumen and Nu who are determined to kill Ragna. Though Hakumen prefers not to kill unnecessarily, Nu does not have such restraints. Though when they saw that their friends have arrived, Ruby became confident in their chances at victory. But there is a part of her that wants to at least try to reason with the legendary hero. Though Ruby needed to watch her words, since many that are present doesn't know the full story.

"Hakumen, I know who you really are and where you came from. I know that you are determined to protect the world. but it doesn't have to be this way, we can work together and solve this. I know about the Three Azures, and I know the threat that Terumi represents. But you can't kill Ragna, him going berserk is not his fault and we're trying to stop the ones who are threatening this world." Ruby explained to Hakumen in a bold tone

"You hold strong ideals for the world Ruby Rose. Yet those ideals blind you to your naïve nature. Protected by your own flaws of arrogance and ignorance. A crucial flaw that has led you to your death." Hakumen stated which surprised everyone who heard it which infuriated Yang

"YOU WILL NOT KILL MY SISTER JIN!" Yang yelled which Tyrian heard as he was nearby

"Jin, Jin Kisaragi, now this has gotten very interesting." Tyrian said as he blocked Qrow's sword attack before Hakumen continued to speak

"In my timeline, it was not by my hands that Ruby was killed. But it does not matter since you do not need to know." Hakumen said as he took up a stance. Though before anything could be done. A chuckle has caught their attention

"So many people are determined to get in the way between me and my Ragna. While believing that life is to be protected. Not believing how meaningless it all is to the world itself. I see that I must help you understand this Ragna. A lesson before we can become one together. It doesn't matter whether or not you understand. But you will learn, a gift before I claim you, my Ragna." Nu said before her eye glowed which shocked everyone who saw it.

"It can't be, Nu is a Maiden." Ruby said in a shocked tone

"She said that she killed Cinder, could it be that . . . ." Ragna said with a sudden realization that not only did Nu kill Cinder but also claimed her Maiden powers.

"WE HAVE TO . . . .!" Qrow yelled before Nu who has been enhanced by her Maiden powers summoned a circle beneath everyone and intensified the gravity causing everyone except Tyrian to be stuck to the ground while they struggled to get up.

"Here is my gift Ragna, the futility of life." Nu said as she proceeded to summon several circles above the city of Argus. The townspeople were confused by the sightings but in a few seconds it didn't matter. Since after a brief second, many barrage of swords started to rain down on the city causing a great deal of destruction. Many of the people ran in fear, several were lucky enough to find cover and protection. Unfortunately, there were many who were not so lucky and were killed shortly after being stabbed by the raining blades that were summoned by Nu.

At the sight of this, Ruby was in tears at the chaos that Nu is bringing to the people. The sight of the swords raining down on the innocents caught in the middle of this problem was too much for anyone to take. Despite the distance from the distance, the screams and cries could still be heard and Ruby is unable to do anything as people are getting killed at random. Upon seeing Nu herself, the young Maiden has a look of satisfaction on her face. Making it clear that she does not hold life in high regard and the only thing that matters to Nu is Ragna. Who himself is looking on in horror at what is being done to the people of Argus. While being held down by the gravity seal, created by Nu's second semblance. All Ruby could do was scream despite the tears.

"NOOOOOOOO NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Ruby yelled with tears in her eyes as Nu continued her assault

(A/N)

Nu's dialogue may seem disturbing to read but that is the point. Given how utterly broken Nu's mind is in this story. If I was good at drawing or able to animate, the moment of Nu's laughing at Ragna would be the perfect picture that shows Nu as the perfect trope of cute but psycho.

Her dialogue made it clear that she doesn't care whether or not she lives or dies and that the only thing that is giving her life any meaning is Ragna. If she dies, she will be out of her misery. Though if she lives, it will be another chance for her to get Ragna. Since she sees Ragna as her ultimate reward for everything she endured in the labs. Her actions at the end of the chapter also shows that life aside from Ragna's means nothing to her. Once again due to the hell she endured in the labs and how broken her mind is. Soon the characters will be forced to question whether or not she could or should be saved.

As the creator of this story I know her ultimate fate, but we are not at that point yet.

For Yang, calling Hakumen by his real name. The people in the airship were too far so they still don't know since they didn't hear her.

There are a few other major reveals and events that happened in this chapter but I want you guys to speculate a bit. Since a lot of things in Volume 6 of this story set things up for Volume 7 and 8.
