Rosalie knew it had been too good to be true. Two weeks without being shot at or hunted like an animal was just too good to be true. It had been a matter of time before the other shoe dropped and now there it is. The other shoe is dropping and is dropping hard.

She had arrived at that planet earlier, the sun had just set and she had been looking forward to a warm meal and a good night's rest. After eating, she had decided to take a walk around the little town and map out possible escape routes, something she always did. And thank God that, despite being tired, she did.

Rosalie wakes up in the middle of the night due to a loud commotion on the main floor of the hostel she was staying at. At first, she thinks it may be the Wraith, but she doesn't hear the tell tale sounds of darts up above, so she discards it and assumes it's just some local troublemakers. That is until she looks out her window and sees them.

Genii soldiers. They were going door to door, collecting payments and threatening people. "Shit, not these guys.", she says to herself, knowing that if they find her, she's as good as dead. Especially after her last run in with them.

A few months before she had had an altercation with a couple of Genii soldiers and ended up having to kill two of them in self-defense. It had been a decision she hadn't taken lightly, but when you know that you're going to die if you don't do something, then it becomes a pretty easy one to make.

Rosalie grabs her things and makes a run through the back door, hoping that she can make it to the gate, or in the worst case, find a place to hide in the woods near the gate and wait until they leave. One thing she knows for certain, she can't let them find her.

Running through the woods, she can't shake the feeling that something ain't right. That's when she sees them, in a clearing just to her right. Three people, clearly fighting for their lives against a squad of Genii soldiers, while a forth is hiding behind a large boulder.

She has to give it to them, they were giving the Genii a run for their money, but when they are overpowered, it becomes clear to Rosalie that it just hadn't been enough. She hid behind a tree, debating on whether or not to intervene, not sure on what to do.

It isn't until Rosalie sees the Genii forcing them on their knees and preparing to execute three of them, that she knows she has to do something. After all, an enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?

Coming out from her hiding spot, she is quick in shooting two of the Genii down. Running straight at the other three, she hits two of them with her Staff, laying them flat on their backs, before shooting them as well, getting shot in the shoulder when she fails to see that the third one is still armed, all the while screaming at the group to stay down. Shooting the last one, she takes a deep breath and takes one last look to make sure these were the only ones there.

Once all the Genii are dead, she walks over to the group, pulling out a knife from her boot and starts getting them free.

-"We need to move. Get your weapons and follow me. I'm sure more of their friends are on the way." - Rosalie says, as she frees the last one. But when she stands up and turns around, she finds herself with a gun pointed at her face, being held by a rather large man. -"Whoa there, big guy. I'm not the enemy here. We need to get out of here and fast, otherwise I just got shot for nothing."

-"Stand down." - A shorter man tells the one holding the gun. -"Lead the way."

Rosalie cuts through the woods, leading the group to the gate, no one really talking. She has this feeling that she has seen the shorter man, who is clearly the leader, somewhere, but she can't quite place from where she knows him. Maybe they crossed paths on a different planet or maybe she's wrong and she had never seen him before. Truthfully, considering how dark it is, it would surprise Rosalie if she would be able to recognize her own mother.

Reaching the gate, they see that it is being guarded by three Genii. Taking them down from a distance with the help of the large man, she leads them to the DHD.

-"I'll take you to a safe planet where there are no Genii. From there, you can dial home and the Genii will never know where you went." - Rosalie tells them as they walk to the DHD.

-"Aren't you worried that they might come after you or your home?" - the only woman of the group asks her.

-"Well, there's no way they can follow me home because I can't go back."

-"Why not?"

-"My home is too far away. And for me to be able to go back, I need to find the one place no one seems to know the address to." - She says, just before she dials the gate.

Rosalie knows what the Genii are capable of. Sure, they may not be as bad as the Wraith, with all their life-sucking and treating people as cattle, but they are still pretty bad. She had seen on more than one occasion how they treat people they consider weaker than them and she doesn't wish that on anyone. If she can help even just one person to avoid bringing that fate to their people, then she will do it without a second of doubt or remorse for what she might need to do.

Walking through the gate, Rosalie can only hope that this group of four people can make it home and be reunited with their loved ones. But she isn't ready for what she is about to see once she reaches the other side.
