Chapter 100

"I wanna get some food in my belly before we race." Grim cheered as he began to dig through the Sam's bag again.

"Good call, hey Odette is it cool if we bust out the snacks we brought?" Ace asked he picked up the bag, Grim and all.

"We should cut up the tart too. Through cutting slices for this many people might be tricky." Deuce said as he looked over to tart on the table.

"I'll handle that. You can take over tea duty." Jamil said to Deuce.

"Jamil I wanna help." Kalim volunteered.

"You just sit tight and actually why don't you get plates and forks for everyone." Jamil suggested cautiously.

"Sure, I can do that." Kalim grinned.

"Oh I brought some apple juice too would anyone like juice instead of tea?" Epel said as he pulled a large bottle out of his bag.

"I'll take some." Vil said.

'It's not the same but that's okay I think I might enjoy this life even more. I know I'll try to appreciate it more.' Odette thought as she looked around the room. "Idia would you mind helping us?" Odette asked as she picked up the tart.

"M-me?" Idia squeaked.

"Yes you." Odette chuckled as Ortho gave him a small shovel forward.

The four of them head down to the kitchen to cut up the tart and pour the juice. Someone had even filled the cupboards and fridge for Odette.

"You guys are so sweet." She smiled at Jamil and Kalim as she pulled out a few other snacks for the large group.

"New fridge meant you needed it filled." Kalim smiled back.

"Idia there should be popcorn in the pantry over there, would you mind putting in the microwave for me?" Odette asked pointing over to it as she fished down some glasses.

"Uh yeah." Idia muttered and did as he was told then found bowls to put the popcorn in.

"We'll be right up, just waiting on the last bag." Odette said as Jamil and Kalim finished their tasks of the tart and juice.

"Okay." Jamil agreed as he eyed Odette then pulled Kalim out of the room.

Once she was sure they were alone Odette pinned Idia to the wall in a kabedon. Her hands slapping the wall on neither side of him. "Listen to me Idia Shroud, I've thought about what I would say to you when I saw you again. I've wanted to yell at you but these weeks have given me time to cool off and think but all I want to say is, if you ever kidnap my friends again I will personal go back the Underworld and kick your ass, got it?" She hissed.

"Uh yeah!" He yipped as he blushed, even his hair turning a bit pink. As he stared down at her she saw her eyes shift to a solid hazel and her hair shift in color too.

"Good." She said as pulled back and looked his straight in the eye then asked. "Now that I have that out of my system, do you have any manga?"

"Ex-excuse me? What?" He coughed as she shook out her hands and she seem to return to her normal appearance.

"Manga, manhwa, graphic novels or do you just call them comic books here?" She asked.

"Manga? I have a collection of manga, why?" He asked finally compromising himself.

"Can I burrow some? I do really miss the ones I had. I figured you're the best person to ask about." She explained as she made her way to the microwave to pull put the last bag.

"You read manga?" He exclaimed.

"I use to in my old life but I wasn't sure if they were a thing here but now I know they are I would like to begin reading them again so can I burrow some?" She asked.

"Why not just burrow them from the library?" Idia asked as she handed him a bowel.

"Because I'm trying to extend a hand of friendship here and I think you'll have good recommendations." She retorted.

"Oh, you hung out with all these pretty guys so why me?" Idia asked.

"Because they don't read manga and you do. Now can I come over and burrow some manga on Thursday." Odette repeated.

"Ugh yeah I think I can manage that." Idia muttered.

"Good, I would like to think we can be good friends. You remind me of my friend Lee from my last life." Odette confessed as she popped open the door on the new microwave and took the bag out.

"Oh, wait I've heard you don't remember your past." Idia said.

"I remember some things." Odette shrugged as she poured the bag into a bowl. 'It's not entirely a lie, somethings are still fuzzy.' She thought as she picked the bowl up.

They headed back upstairs and handed out the popcorn. They both could feel all the eyes on them. Odette just brushed it off and smile at them.

'They wouldn't believe me even if I did tell them. They'll never believe I just threatened a classmate.' Odette thought.

Idia just blushed and looked down at the ground.

"What happened?" Epel asked as she took her piece if the tart.

"I was just asking Idia some questions." She lied with a shrug.

"Idia." Ortho whispered a little later after the snacks had been eaten.

"Hm?" Idia asked.

"We've had friends over to our place to play video games but today we've experienced hanging out at a friend's house and playing games with them there." Ortho smiled.

"Huh? What are you talking about? That's not what this is." Idia denied.

"Really? But we traveled to the residence of an acquaintance does that not count?" Ortho asked looking over to Idia.

"No not at all. It's as different as Elysium and well a local park. For one thing not all of these people are our friends and Ramshackle dorm isn't Odette's house The school owns the building and all of the land ergo this isn't a friend's house QED." Idia countered.

"You're getting hung up on technicalities, okay fine, we'll race to see who's right." Ortho complained then quickly offered.

"Ohoh, you wanna talk big to me? Fine, you're on, time to flex my gaming muscle." Idia gloated as they made their way to the couch.

"You best watch what you say Idia. Don't come crying to me of you embarrass yourself in front of everyone." Ortho teased.

"Alright we have our new competitors for the next race Idia and Ortho." Rook announced as he handed his controller to Ortho and Vil handed his to Idia.

"Okay then go!" Ortho cheered as he hit the start button.

"I still can't believe that when I pulled Grim out of the Underworld he had Ortho's memory card lodged in his throat. I suppose miracles really DO happen." Vil sighed as he and Rook went over to the fireplace.

"It may not have been a miracle." Rook remarked.

"What do you mean?" Vil asked raising an eyebrow.

"The king of the Underworld was incredibly diligent yes? I say it was turned away at the gate to avoid bringing the soul of a living being into the land of the dead." Rook suggested.

"You're suggesting that a memory card would be considered a soul?" Vil asked.

"Ortho's memory card is no mere mechanical competent it is the embodiment of his very essence. He or rather they chose to try and boost their brother up from the depths below to the skies above What do you call such love and affection if not a soul?" Rook asked.

"You make s good pint I'm inclined to agree." Vil smiled.

"Isn't that in itself a miracle? Maybe you're both right, neither way it's a miracle to be grateful for." Odette offered.

"Qui." Rook nodded with a large grin as they looked over to the two competing brothers.

Later than night in her room Odette was getting ready for bed and Grim was already fast asleep already sleep talking when she glanced over to the mirror over the fireplace.

"It's been so hectic that I never told the other about Mickey, and I should let him know Grim is back." She said as she stepped to the mirror. The mirror begins to glow.

"Hello? Odette are you there?" Mickey called out as his figured began to appear in the mirror, he began to come to focus but the rest of the mirror remained foggy.

'I can't believe I'm talking to the real Mickey Mouse.' Odette thought as she waved at him. "Ah there you are Odette finally! I haven't seen you since you went looking for your roommate I was worried you know. Did you find your friend?" He asked his face expressing all the emotions he was going through.

"Yup, sorry it took so long it's a really long story but everything is back to normal now." Odette informed him.

"Oh goodie." He giggled as Grim's snoozes got louder for second then he began to sleep talk again.

"Which one of you losers threw that item at me."

"Let me get him real quick." She said as she stepped away from the mirror to the bed and shook Grim awake.

"Man it was just getting good, mrah what's going on? Are those armored jerks back?" He asked as he snapped awake.

"No Grim wake up Mickey's in the mirror." She said as she pointed to the still glowing mirror, even from this distance she could still see his outline.

"Mickey? In the mirror what're you talkin about Odette? No one's there you're prolly still half asleep. Man, I was just about to beat Idia and Ortho in a race I'mma go back to sleep and finish that race." Grim grumbled as he closed his eyes and went back to sleep.

"Grim doesn't see Mickey?" Odette thought as she went back to the mirror. 'Can no one else see him either? Is it because I'm not from here?' She thought as she stepped back up to the glowing mirror.

"Odette? Is someone else there? Is it your roommate?" Mickey asked.

"Yes, he's here that was him talking." Odette answered.

"There's always a bunch of fog around you so I can't see anything but you, can you see anything on my end? There's a moving chair here, an ottoman that acts like a dog and a table with a walnut cracker on it? Do you see any of that?" He asked.

"Nope, I only see you, it's foggy for me too." She answered shaking her head. 'Where he is? A dog ottoman, that sounds like Beast's castle but what would he be there?' She wondered.

"That's strange, a shame too. It would been mighty nice if I could make even more friends in my dreams. Oh speaking of friends while you were out I saw a stranger in my dream room it was a boy with silver hair his eyes were the most unique color but he left so fast I couldn't get his name. Boy! Did that surprise me! I've never had a visitor here before it'd be swell if you could come and visit too Odette." Mickey explained.

Suddenly a loud alarm began to ring.

"Whuh oh! That means it's time for me to wake up see again Odette." Mickey said waving bye.

"There's a dream world through the mirror? Silver hair? Unusual eye color? Could it be Silver?" Odette wondered.

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. It was fun to write. I've always wanted to write a scene with my OC kabedon someone. I thought Idia would be a great target. I can't believe we've made it to a 100 chapters! Thank you all so much so sticking around. I didn't think I would get to 100 chapters.

We finally finished the Ignihyde Arc! (cries happy tears) I'm so glad I finished this. I feel like finishing this Arc and getting to 100 chapters is such a feat. I should reward myself. I'll figure what to do to celebrate later.

See ya next time.
