Marinette, the Knitting Fairy, was flying home from her job at the knitting factory, when she stopped with a flutter. What was that big round orange thing doing in one of her friends gardens?! Feeling curious, she flew down for a closer look.

Why, it was a pumpkin! A massive pumpkin, big enough to feed many people with yummy pie. Marinette's stomach rumbled just thinking about it. But then she heard a different sound. A sad sound, more like a sniffle.

She saw a long black tail sticking out of the bushes, and went over to investigate. Why, it was her friend Cat Noir! "Cat, why are you crying?" "Because," he sniffled, wiping his face with the back of a paw. "Its Halloween and I have no one to share my pumpkin with. My mother and I would go trick-or-treating and then we come home and make pie. But Mother's not around anymore."

"Oh, Cat," Marinette's heart fluttered with sympathy. "Cat Noir? Would you like a friend to go trick-or-treating and make pie?" "Who, Knitting Fairy?" "Me!" she smiled. "I'd love to, but I don't even have a costume!" "Your suit will do, and people love you no matter what you look like. Now, with a wave of my wand…." Two knitted pumpkin pails appeared. "Here's a candy pail for Halloween!"

So, the two friends went around the garden, collecting candy and having a wonderful time. While Marinette was working on the pie, Cat wandered out to his garden, and picked some flowers.

"Marinette?" He said, shyly, holding up the flowers. "These are for you. Candy is fun, but having a friend like you is even sweeter."

"Thank you, Cat. Now, let's have some yummy pie!"

The two friends enjoyed the delicious treat in Cat's house in the garden, and when the sun set they divided their candy pails and giggled as they ate their sweets!
