Yo friends of fanfiction, you know what time it is. It's special season! We're, of course, starting with a Halloween special. Much to say... other than,
R-and-R
Enjoy the story.
Ash Ketchum let out a yawn followed by a stretch, it was another normal October day, October 23 to be exact. The air had slight frosty nip to it and most everyone wore a nice fluffy coat or a cozy hoodie. Our hero exited his room and was greeted by his mother.
"Good morning, dear." Delia Ketchum greeted her son with an ever present smile.
Ash returned this with a grin of his own. "Good morning." He took a hefty whiff of the air and knew his mother cooked breakfast. "So, uh, whatcha making?"
Delia laughed at her son's shifty eyes, trying to hide the excitement he had for breakfast. "It's a surprise." She said, which made Ash slouch down but also get a little more excited. "How about, you go check the mail and by the time you get back, it'll be down."
Ash liked the sound of that! He flashed his mother a smile. "Got it!" The raven haired trainer dashed up to his room to grab his dark blue coat. Once up in his room, he looks around at his many achievements. The newest being, Alola champion. Ash could hardly believe it. He was a champ! One of the best trainers in the world, at least, that's what the news article that he had hung up said. It had a picture of Ash holding the champion cup with big bold letters above saying, "One of the best trainers in the world, now champion!" He wasn't sure if he was all that, but, it did feel good... He threw on his coat and, with a goodbye to his mother, started making his way to the post office.
Since Pallet town was so small, all mail went to a single location. It didn't matter who you were, the professor or a common citizen, you went to this one post office. Ash likes it, he has many fond memories here. Since everyone went to one place everyone knew everyone in this small town. The new champion really loved that. He loved simple things, he didn't mind the spotlight from time to time, but... There was just something about having that wonderful mix of both.
"Hey, you gonna stand there all day, or can I get my mail?!"
The sound of a familiar voice pulled Ash out of his thoughts. He turned and smiled when he saw the voices face. "Oh, sorry, Gary. Zoned out there."
"Yeah." The spiky-haired, newly appointed professor, walked past Ash with a smile and patted his on the shoulder. "I could tell." Gary made his way over to the box that had "Oak" on the front.
Ash sprinted over to the box labeled "Ketchum" and opened it up, but, looked to Gary. "Hey, man. My mom is making breakfast, if you want to come over."
Gary grabbed his mail and hummed as if he had to think it over. "Yeahhh." He smirked. "I guess I can come." Free food! Free food! He chanted in his head. Ever since his grandfather retired and went to his vacation home in Alola, Gary's been on his own. So, any chance for a home cooked meal, he was taking.
"Cool." Ash scooped up his mail and the two boys made their way over to Ash's home, talking all the while.
Ash opened the door and said. "I'm back!" and took off his shoes.
Gary followed suit with the shoes, but said. "Sorry for the intrusion."
Delia smiled seeing the young Pokémon professor. "Oh, no. Please, join us Gary." She hugged him, which caused Gary to flinch.
"Th-thank you, Ms. Ketchum." Gary hugged back.
Ash had a grin on his face as he watched the scene. Him and Gary may be rivals and have had their fights, but, he did see him as family, somewhat.
breakfast has come and pass and Delia had some shopping to do, so she went to viridian city to accomplish just that. Gary and Ash decided to pass the time with a little TV, while they sorted their mail. Ash's pile was mostly for his mother, but a few stray letters were for him. Now that he was a champion he was getting invite to all sorts of things. Parties, commercials, podcasts. The works. Our hero wasn't really interested in most things in that nature. But, there was one letter that caught his eye. It was orange, with a black spider web design on the edges and it also had a red masquerade mask front and center. The odd letter reminded him that Halloween was coming up.
"So, you got one too?" Gary's voice drew Ash's gaze upwards to see that his friend was holding an almost identical letter, except, Gary's had a blue mask instead of Ash's red.
"Yeah..." Ash mumbled. "What does this mean?" He asked, even though he knew Gary wouldn't have the answer.
"Let's open it." Gary said with an excited smile. He grabbed a letter opener that Delia conveniently had on the coffee table and carefully opened up the strange letter, so he didn't damage whatever was inside. The Pokémon professor opened it up and screamed.
"Wha-what is it!?" Ash yelled. "Is it a bomb!?"
Gary started laughing. "I got you!" He grabbed his stomach in laughter.
"That wasn't funny, man." Ash bopped Gary on the shoulder, with an unamused face.
Gary tried to calm his laughter with questionable success and actually pulled out the letter... and blue mask. He unfolded the paper and read what was written... which wasn't much. "Turn on the performance channel at eleven-am sharp, then you will understand that this is an invitation."
Ash opened his and it read the same, it also had a red mask with it. "What...?" Our hero was at a loss.
"Well, might as well listen to it..." Gary mumbled, switching the station to 122, the performance channel. "It's 10:58... So in two minutes..." Ash wordlessly nodded at Gary's words. Those two minutes felt like two hours... But then!
The TV went static. "Is this it?" Ash muttered, his eyes glued to the television. Soon, the static ceased and a masquerade mask, similar to the one of the letter, appeared on screen.
Then, a voice rang out. "Welcome, welcome." The voice was almost distorted, which gave it a scary sound. "If you are seeing this then... you are invited." The voice took a pause, Gary guessed for dramatic effect. "To what, you ask?" A figure was now on screen, quite an intimidating one at that. Both Ash and Gary gulp at the same time. The figure gripped their mask and... PULLED IT OFF?! "TO A PARTY!"
"WHAT?!" The two boys yell at the same time. The screen now shows a pink-haired girl dancing around with many back up dancers behind her.
"That's right! This was all a fun little game! Wasn't it fun?" The pink-haired girl asked.
"No!" Gary blurted out.
Ash hummed in thought. "I feel like I've seen that girl before..."
"You may already know, but I'm the Kalos queen, Aria!" She said with a bright smile and a somewhat flirty wink.
"THAT HOW I KNOW HER!" Ash yelled out.
Gary jumped at his rivals loudness. "Arceus, what the hell?!"
"Aria..."
"You know her...?"
Ash nodded, remembering the times he interacted with her during his Kalos journey. "Yeah. We've met a few times, you even call us friends."
Gary scoffed. "I guess that's why you got an invite."
Ash gave him a sideways glance. "You got one too..."
Aria's voice pulled the two back to the TV. "I bet you're wondering what this party is, right, right?" She was so energetic, the queen was almost bouncing. "Well," she began, tapping her finger on her chin in a cute way. "You see, this is a party for the best of the best. Champion's professors, gym leaders. Or anyone I think worthy." She added that last part with a wink.
"I guess that answers our question..." Gary muttered, followed with a sigh.
"Oh, but what's this!?" A mask was thrown at Aria and she pretended that she didn't expect it at all, like a true performer. "Oh! Right!" Aria acted like she just remembered and playfully bonked herself on the head in a cutesy manner. Ash and Gary would be lying if they said they weren't entranced by her performance. "You should've received a special mask in your letter, if you need help figuring it out, you will wear this mask, just I have now." Aria pointed to her pretty pink mask that covered her cute face. "At the party."
Both Gary and Ash picked up their respective masks and looked at them with curiosity.
"Perhaps you wanted to know the when and where of this party I keep bringing up?" Aria asked, once again with a playful wink, that no doubt was melting many people's hearts. "Well it will be held at Kalos châteaus and on the scary night of Halloween. BOO!" The queen did a playful "wah" action when she pretended to be a ghost. Once again, melting many hearts. "You can arrive at any time during the day." She flashed a wonderful smile. "I hope to see you there. BYE BYE!" Aria waved at the camera as it faded black and switched back to regular programming.
Gary and Ash looked at each other and both said the same thing. "What the hell?"
They paused to gather their thoughts, but, Ash was the first to speak up. "I'm going."
Gary was taken-aback by this. "Are you for real?!" He couldn't believe that Ash was thinking about going to a spooky party held by the cutesy idol. Okay... Maybe it wasn't that hard to believe.
"I am." Was all Ash said.
Gary just couldn't believe this! "You're going to the weird masquerade party held by a strangely flirty idol!?"
"I am." Ash repeated himself. "I know her. Aria, I mean."
"Really...?" Gary paused. "How...?
Ash closed his eyes, remembering the time Aria posed as Ariana and the time he danced with her. "I met her during my Kalos days."
"Wait. You met, supposedly, a famous person... on your Pokemon adventure."
Ash blinked a few times. He didn't realize that was actually quite the crazy part of his journey. "I never thought about it..."
Gary shook his head. "You're hopeless..."
Once the camera flicked off and the crew started to disperse or clean up, Aria let out a deep sigh, one she would never be able to show the public. The Kalos queen enjoyed her life, her job was definitely easier than most others, but... It was still hard. She wished on anything that someone would save and show her a normal life, a life she hasn't had since she won this damned title. Aria hated thinking the way she does, because so many young girls would dream to be in her shoes... Maybe they wouldn't if they knew how hard it was. But, she knew... Aria knew that if she left her idol life behind... That would be the scariest fright Halloween could give her.
It's been one week since the announcement, one day before the party and Aria decided to walk around Camphrier Town in her Ariana disguise. She had her hair down in two twin ponytails tied by yellow rings. She wears a white collared top with frills resembling sleeves, high-waisted ankle-length black pants, and black and white heeled shoes. Her shirt also has a large hole in the back, which exposes the black bra she wears underneath. For accessories, she wears a white hat with a pale orange ribbon, a light blue bracelet, black rectangular glasses, and a black necklace that has yellow, blue, and pink triangles. She also carries around a pale orange purse. Aria hadn't worn such a disguise in quite a while, she was always too busy, too busy to enjoy "common life." Wearing this outfit brought back some fond memories. Memories of when she met Ash, Serena and the others. She had that raven-haired man on her mind at late, ever since she heard about his victory in Alola. One of the reasons she wanted this party, outside of a PR move, was to maybe see him again... Aria hoped anyway.
Before she knew it, Aria had her head down as she walked, her glasses drooping slightly, not even looking at the spooky decorations that the town had set up. As she moved the queen bumped into something, something fairly firm and tough. She fell down to her round butt and moaned in pain as she hit the concrete.
"I'm sorry, are you alright?"
Aria looked out to see an outstretched hand and came to the conclusion that she had ran into a person, a man to be exact. "I'm fine, thank you." She took the hand and was pulled up by him. Once she got a look at his face, she was shocked. "Ash?!"
It was October 29 and Ash was in the Kanto airport ready to broad a plane to Kalos... and he wasn't alone. "Damn... I'm bored!" Gary whined, looking around the airport, even the scary, spooky stuff they had placed around peaked his interest.
Ash looked at his friend and shook his head. taking a seat next to him. "No one is forcing you to go. If anything, I'm surprised you're coming in the first place, with all the complaining you were doing."
"Hey, I'm letting you go see the cute idol without me!"
"That's not the only reason I'm going!"
Gary smirked. "But, it is a reason you're going."
Ash flinched, Gary got him good. "Gah! Shut up!"
"FLIGHT TO KALOS IS LEAVING IN FIVE MINUTES!" The intercom blarred.
"Whatever! Let's go." Ash said, grabbing his back and running.
Gary scoffed. "Saved by the bell..."
"Ash!?" Aria was in disbelief. The man she was just thinking about appeared in front of her. What joke was fate playing on her today?!
"Aria..." Ash mumbled, easily seeing through her disguise. The two looked at each other, as if in a trance.
That was until Gary cleared his throat and spoke. "I'm Gary, by the by."
The two were pulled out their trace and it became quite apparent to Ash that he was still holding Aria's hand. He let go, which made Aria's heart whine, she didn't want him to let go of her hand. "S-sorry about that!" Ash stuttered out, but, he wasn't really sure what he was apologizing for.
"Y-you're fine..." Aria mumbled, trying to hide her blush. She turned to Gary and put on her best smile. "Nice to meet you Gary, I'm Ariana."
Gary lightly chuckled. "Pssh, I already know you're Aria, the Kalos queen."
Aria playfully put her finger over her mouth and shushed him. "That's a secret!"
Ash laughed at this action and took a better look at her. Aria hasn't changed at all physically, she still had a wonderfully slender, petite body and her ass was catching Ash's gaze. He shook his head. "I shouldn't be thinking that!" Ash scolded himself in thought. Another thought that entered his mind that was less than favorable was... "Damn, she may not have the biggest boobs but, shit does her ASSets make up for it!" Luckily, Aria's voice pulled Ash's mind out of the gutter.
"I'm guessing you are here for the party, tomorrow." She asked, a beautiful smile ever present on her cute face.
Gary spoke first. "I know I am. Him on the other hand..." He pointed to Ash. "He might already be happy with his trip."
Aria tilted her head in confusion. "Huh, what do you mean?"
Gary was happy to explain it to her. "Ash has already enjoyed the fruits, perhaps a peach, of this trip of ours." He said, winking at Ash. Yeah, he saw his buddy checking out the idol.
"Shut up, man!" Ash tried to tackle Gary, but his spiky-haired friend just laughed.
"Too much protesting is suspicious!"
Aria had no clue what was going on... but it was quite funny. She started to giggle, the queen tried to stifle her laughter, to no avail. Ash watched her with a smile. Gary just sighed and mumbled. "Does he not even realize...?"
Aria was able to quell her giggles and said. "As much as I'd like to hang around, I've been gone too long." She then sighed and playfully knocked herself on the head. "My manager is gonna kill me..." Before either of the boys could comfort her in any way she perked up with a jump and did her iconic hand pose. "But, we'll see each other at the party!" Aria began to dash away, waving back at them. "Catch you later!"
Ash watched as she went and didn't say anything until he could see her no longer. "I wonder..."
"What you mumbling about?" Gary asked, flipping his hair about.
"I wonder if she wears a mask...?"
Gary laughed. "What? Like a masquerade party!?"
"Maybe..." Was all Ash said before making his way to their hotel.
"Huh?" Gary didn't expect to be taken seriously. "I-I was just joking!" He yelled, catching up to his friend.
Today is the day. The party was in full swing and Aria was quite nervous, after all, she was the guest of honor. She was to come down the stairs in the way of the princess... and she must pick one prince from the crowd to dance with her. She knew which one she wanted to dance with... Ash. But, the problem was, that everyone was wearing a mask. She had no idea which one was Ash, because she had no hand in the mask distribution, she was really only there for the marketing... All Aria was told was to be the cute idol, Kalos queen... and she did. The turn out was quite big, making it even harder to find the prince of her desires. Aria had on the same dress she wore back then at the first dance party with Ash in attendance, although, now she wore a pretty pink mask over her face, to fit the theme. Currently, Aria was waiting to be called upon in the dressing room, making sure she looked perfect. She, as she always did, is what most would say, but, as times gone on... she's gotten tired of their praise. "Maybe I'm tired of this title...?" She mumbled, but, before that thought could be ventured further, she was called.
Aria now stood in the side room right before the stairs, it was almost time for her grand entrance. She scanned the room, hoping to stop Ash or maybe even that Gary fellow, since she assumed they'd be together. But, it was as she feared, everyone had a mask on. She tried her best to maybe find his raven black hair, but, she saw the stage hand give her the sign to walk down the stairs. Her time was up...
The lights dimmed and all eyes went up to the spot light that was now on her, the only light in the whole castle. Even with her own mask on, everyone knew it was her, the Kalos queen. She made her way down the unnecessarily big stairs like a princess and an angel at the same time, if that were even possible. No, it didn't matter if it was possible, Aria achieved it. The announcer told the guest what Aria already knew, that she'd pick one of them to dance with her. All the men had dumb grins on their face and even the women cheeks flushed pink, because, it didn't matter who or what gender Aria picked, she will dance with them.
The queen scanned the room once more and saw two gentlemen not, practically undressing her with their disgusting eyes, but, just talking to each other. One had a blue mask and the other a red. Aria smiled, something inside her told her that that was Ash and his friend. All she had to do was take a look at their hair to tell who was who. She saw a head of spiky brown hair and knew that was Gary. She said "Sorry." In her thoughts and turned to the one next to him the raven hair she was looking for. "You, in the red mask with black, raven-like, messy hair!" Her voice boomed throughout the castle, mostly thanks to the microphone she had on her dress. The man turned and she could read his lips and he was clearly saying "me?"
The staff grabbed the man and it looked like the other one with him patted him on the back with a knowing smirk. Another group of workers cleared out an area for the two to dance, undisturbed. As Aria walked down the stair to meet her prince she could hear many dissatisfied and sad groans and mumbles. The queen made it in the circle before her king, but, she didn't have to wait long. The man she had picked made his way through the crowd, with the help of the staff, and it was now just the two of them in a circle just for them. Aria placed her hand on the man's shoulder and took his hand. The man fumbled a bit, but with help from his queen he found his place on her hip. Aria leaned in and whispered. "Ash... Is that you?"
The man looked at her in shock, well as much shock as the mask could show. "You can tell!?" Ash said, maybe a bit too loudly.
Aria shushed him lovingly. "You could say it was a lucky guess." The two waltzed happily, as if there was no one else.
Ash couldn't believe that he was really dancing with Aria. Sure he had done it before, but, back then... He didn't feel the way he does now. Hell, maybe he did feel it, and just wanted to ignore it. He firmly gripped her hip, fearing that his hand would slip to a much more suggestive area, even though he did kinda wanna know what she'd feel like down there. Instead of perverse thoughts, he leaned in and asked Aria a question that's been on his mind lately. "Do you want to run away with me, my queen?"
Aria slightly pulled back from the bizarre question, but they still danced like perfection. "What...?" She whispered, her hot breath hitting Ash's ear.
Ash leaned in, so she'd feel his breath on her neck. "You hate this, don't you? You're tired of being queen."
Aria could hardly believe it. How did he know that? And, his hot, sexy breath beating down her neck was getting her quite hot and bothered. "I am... Tired." She panted out.
"Then, how bout we leave together?" He offered, their dance never breaking. "Just you, me and a nice house somewhere." That sounded wonderful to Aria, but there was one more word that Ash added that made her his. "No press."
Aria couldn't help but moan at the idea. "Ohhh, yes."
"You want to run?"
Aria nodded into Ash's chest. "Yes, but, let's at least finish this dance..."
Ash rested his head on hers. "Can do."
Gary looked around the castle and laughed. "It's been an hour since their dance and the staff is going crazy..." He mumbled. He sighed and shook his head. "Damn, Ash didn't think you were so bold to steal the queen right under the royal guards noses." The man took off his mask and walked out of the castle. "Whatever, I better be best man and it should be a Halloween themed wedding!"
The end. I hope you enjoyed! I know this was quite different from the norm, but, eh, I really like KalosKingshipping! Well, see yea later, friends of fanfiction!
