Summary: In which Remus has a very important talk with Lily.

The train clanked along, heading for Hogwarts. Remus left the guys for a few moments to find Lily. He tapped on the door before leaning in a bit. "Hi, Lily."

"Hi, Remus!" Lily seemed to be bouncing in her seat. "Did you see it?"

"Yeah," Remus said. "That's why I'm here to congratulate you on earning it."

Lily looked confused. "Earning it?"

"Head Girl," Remus said. "Jim just got back. He told me."

"Oh," Lily said. "Um, thanks. Yes, I'm a bit surprised about it."

"What were you talking about?" Remus asked.

"The movie!" Lily exclaimed. "It came out last May. Didn't you go see it?" After a blank stare, Lily all but screamed in excitement. "STAR WARS!"

That wiped the smile off Remus's face. "Why the hell would I go see that? For that matter, you shouldn't have, either. What is wrong with you?"

"Excuse me?" Lily stared at him. "I'm pretty sure I can go see whatever I want. You don't own me, Remus!"

"Oh, come on, Lily!" Remus shot back, heat rising to his cheeks which, unfortunately, made his facial scars gleam a little, but everyone was more shocked at the behaviour of the two, who were usually tight friends. "We are Star Trek fans! We've watched a few episodes together. Trek is much better than Wars. We aren't supposed to—I mean—how could—you traitor!" He slammed the door closed. After a short growl, he marched away, fists by sides.

"Why you!" Lily jumped to her feet, equally as angry. "Oh, it's gonna be like that, is it?" She shoved the door open so hard that it slammed shut once more right in her face. After a groan, she tried all that again before marching out after the werewolf puppy. "Of all the—get your tufted arse back here, you-you-you fleabag!" She used the same term James often called Remus.

"Moony, what's wrong?" James asked as Remus stomped into the compartment. Remus glared at him, eyes shining gold. "Whoa!" James stood up. "Your wolf's showing through! Calm down!"

But telling a grumpy werewolf puppy to calm down was about as wrong as telling an angry woman to calm down. Also, it doesn't work. In fact, it has the opposite effect.

"Calm down?" Remus growled. James took a step back. "CALM DOWN? Your girlfriend just made the ultimate betray—"

"Will you shut up?" Lily walked in on that precise moment. "You're being stupid, Remus! It's perfectly fine to like both."

"No, it isn't!" Remus snapped. "Either you like Trek or you like Wars. I know you like Trek since we watched reruns together. Lily, we went to a convention together. You have Shatner's autograph!"

"I have a huge crush on Shatner! Of course, I'll get his autograph!" Lily shrieked.

James's brow twitched at this information. "I thought you—"

"JAMES! BUTT OUT!"

That was from both of them. James just stared in shock. Sirius tried desperately not to laugh while Peter scurried out, claiming he was going to find the candy trolley.

"Fine," James muttered, dropping onto the bench. "I'll just sit here while you act like I don't exist, but don't think this conversation is over, Lily. How long has this crush been going on?"

"Oh, my God! It's a celebrity crush, Jim!" Lily shot at him. "No need to get jealous. Either get over yourself or die mad about it."

"Whoa! Fine!" James held up his hands.

"Miss Evans?"

Lily glanced around at whoever was calling her. "WHAT?" She screeched. "Wait. Sorry. What is it?"

"Uh, you're needed in the Prefect's lounge," said the moron interrupting a rather important discussion. "So is Mr. Potter. Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, thank you. Be there in a moment," Lily said as James pushed by her. She turned back to Remus. "I have plans to get an autograph from Harrison Ford in Star Wars as well."

"You do that!"

"Know what, little wolf?" Lily snarled enough to match a werewolf's grumblings. "You can bite me."

"Oh, yeah?"

"Yeah!"

Remus stepped up to her so that they were nose to nose. "Bend over. I will!"

"Oh!" Lily's jaw dropped as she gasped in utter revulsion. "FIFTY POINTS FROM GRYFFINDOR!"

"Nice try but I'm a Prefect!" Remus vehemently reminded her.

"I'm taking them from Sirius who's just sitting there," Lily yelled before storming away in a sour mood.

"What?" Sirius yelped but no one cared.

"It's worth it!" Remus yelled after her. "Traitor! I'm never watching Star Trek with you again!"

"Like I care!" Lily put up her hand over her had. Just before she crossed the threshold into the next car, her fingers made a V-sign, which was not only incredibly rude but also very unladylike.

"That's not very ladylike!" Remus shot at her before closing the door of his compartment.

"Can she do that?" Sirius asked. "We aren't even at the school yet."

"She'll make sure they're gone, don't worry!" Remus complained. He let out a loud growl of frustration that reverberated off the walls.

It still drove Sirius away as he claimed that he would go find Peter to help him stock up on candy.

The moment Lily entered the lounge car, James started to ask, "Are you—"

"Be quiet!" Lily ordered.

"Er, yes, dear." James gulped. What the hell was going on?

It wasn't until late that evening, after the meal was done, that James finally managed to find out. He waited for the common room to be mostly empty before approaching Lily. "So," he cautiously started. "What was all that about on the train?"

Lily regarded him for a moment. "I guess you wouldn't really know much about Star Trek or Star Wars, since you're a pureblood."

"I've heard bits about them," James said. "But not really gotten into either."

"Well," Lily sat back in her seat. "Maybe that's something I can show you, since Remus is being a toerag about it."

James stared at her before bursting out laughing. "I remember the days you used to call me that."

"Used to?" Lily teased. "I still do, just not to your face, anymore."

"Oh, is that it?" James said with a smile before asking, "So, who's Shatner? Is he in a different House?"

It was Lily's turn to laugh out loud. "No, no! He's a muggle actor. You do know what acting is, right? We do have some stage drama here, thanks to Flitwick."

"I get the gist of it," James admitted.

"So Shatner's in Star Trek," Lily explained. "That's what Remus meant when he mentioned my autograph from Shatner. I have it in my diary book." Lily bent over to dig around in her bag for a moment. She pulled out a framed picture of Captain Kirk from between the pages of her book, signed with Shatner's name. "That's him."

James took it. "What's he wearing?"

"A Starfleet uniform," Lily said. "I think Remus dressed up like that for Halloween." She sighed, visibly annoyed again at the mere mention of the werewolf's name. "I can't believe he's 'one of those' kinds of fans," she went on, making some air quotes with her fingers. "I thought he was decent."

"What does that mean: 'that' kind of fan?" James asked, handing the picture back.

"Why don't you join me in the Prefect's bath?" Lily asked as she put the picture away. "I can tell you all about it."

"Sounds like fun," James smiled slyly as he got up to lead the way.
