KatieMae77, who owns Katie, asked for this one. Here you go, Amiga! :) Enjoy! :)
Transformers G1 belongs to Hasbro. I only own Rachel and Linda.
Also, Pumpkin Jack is actually from a music video done by The Singing Walrus on YouTube. It's a cute, animated music video for Halloween and a very catchy song to boot. :) I highly suggest watching it. :)
On with the story! :)
The Magic Of A Sister's Bond
Rachel and Katie giggled as they walked into their classroom, both seven-year-olds dressed up for Halloween just like their classmates. Katie was dressed up as a blue butterfly and Rachel was a tiger. Their teacher smiled as she saw them. "What a beautiful butterfly and a cute tiger," she said.
"Thank you, ma'am," the sisters said politely.
"Alright everyone, let's gather at the door for the field trip."
The children all gathered together. It was not only their class but also another school too coming along and they were going to see some of the Halloween decorations and the giant pumpkin patch. "We might even get to go inside a haunted house," the teacher said as the kids all gathered. "So pick a buddy and remember to stick together."
Rachel held out her hand to Katie and the honey-haired girl took it, smiling. It wasn't long before they were all on the bus and headed towards town. The girls were amazed to see some of the houses decorated so amazingly, though one did startle them a bit as it had very spooky decorations. The teacher watched everyone get off the bus and they started walking around, some of the house owners allowing the kids to walk though the yards to look at the decorations.
One house was big and had spiderwebs and skeletons that were playing instruments while wearing silly hats. Rachel and Katie giggled at seeing this. "That's so silly," the blonde-haired girl giggled.
Katie giggled too. "Maybe later on when we're trick-or-treating, Daddy can take our picture with these?" She suggested.
"Let's go ask the family who owns the house."
The owner was absolutely delighted the girls wanted to have pictures taken with the silly skeletons and told the girls it was fine later on when they came by with their family. The girls happily went to join the rest of their classmates, eager to tell their family when they got home.
Rachel saw something up ahead and quickly stopped Katie as they both stopped near the edge of a large cellar with rotted doors. "We should go around this," the blonde-haired girl said, seeing it was a large hole.
"Good idea," her sister said as they walked around it and were about to continue to join their group when they felt someone push them suddenly, making them both scream as they fell in the cellar.
The teacher heard them cry out and turned in time to see some boys from the other school laughing and running off. She signaled the teacher for that school, who was wondering what the boys were laughing about and when she heard what happened, she was furious.
The girls' teacher looked down the cellar hole. "Rachel! Katie! Can you hear me?!" She called out, listening for the girls.
But there was no response.
Rachel had pulled Katie into a hug and both held onto each other tightly as they fell down the hole. After a bit, both girls landed on something that cushioned their fall, but knocked the wind out of them. They sat up and saw it was bags of fertilizer and seeds. Katie looked up but couldn't see the hole they had fallen into. "Where are we?" She asked.
"I don't know," Rachel said, standing up and helping her sister up. "Come on. Stay together."
Katie and her sister held hands as they began trying to find an escape, but as they walked and it got darker, they began to feel more scared and clung to each other as they tried not to cry, but a few tears fell. "Help!" Katie called out, hoping someone would hear her.
"Help!" Rachel cried out too.
Suddenly, they saw something light up and they saw it was jack-o-lanterns and one of them moved, holding out a paper to the girls. Rachel took it and both sisters read it with one of the jack-o-lanterns moving closer to provide light.
"'Rachel and Katie, follow the pumpkins and they'll get you to your family. I've already sent some pumpkins to warn your family about what happened and they are on their way as you read this. Don't be afraid. The Good Witch Linda,'" Rachel read aloud.
"Miss Linda?" Katie asked before she recognized the jack-o-lanterns. "I remember her! She helped us that time we fell into her home."
"I remember too," Rachel said. "Come on. "Let's follow them."
The jack-o-lanterns surrounded the girls like a shield as they led the way to the surface.
Outside, The Protectobots were also following Linda's jack-o-lanterns after the good witch had arrived at the ARK and warned them about the girls being shoved into an old cellar. "My jack-o-lanterns are helping them to get out of there," she said. "If you follow these jack-o-lanterns, they'll lead you to the girls."
Optimus at once ran out to follow the pumpkins with the Protectobots right behind him. Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Astrotrain saw them and landed. "What's going on?" Thundercracker asked.
"Rachel and Katie are trapped in an old cellar and a good witch is helping us find them," Hot Spot said.
"These jack-o-lanterns are leading us while the witch said some others were leading Rachel and Katie to safety," Blades said.
Upon hearing the girl they were so fond of was trapped, the three 'Cons joined them, all following the jack-o-lanterns to find the girls.
Rachel and Katie saw an exit up ahead of the tunnel as a jack-o-lanterns continued to lead them. Rachel crawled out first and reached out for her sister's hand. Katie took her sister's hand and climbed out with her help. She sniffled as she saw her dress was all dirty and dusty. Rachel wasn't happy that her tiger costume was all filthy too.
Just then, they heard screams and looked to see three familiar 'Cons had arrived and were scaring off the same boys that had pushed the girls into the cellar. "Katie! Rachel!" Optimus said as he ran up to them.
"Daddy!" Katie said, running up to him.
"Uncle Optimus!" Rachel said, also running up to the leader of the Autobots.
He scooped them both up into a hug, holding them as First Aid checked on them, seeing the girls just had a few bumps and bruises. "You girls okay?" Groove asked.
"Yeah," Katie said.
"How'd you find us?" Rachel asked.
"Your witch friend Linda came and warned us about what happened," Streetwise said.
"We rushed out at once and when Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Astrotrain heard what happened, they came with us to find you," Hot Spot said as the three 'Cons walked up.
"Katie. Rachel, are you both alright?" Skywarp asked.
Both girls nodded and Linda then appeared, smiling. "Glad to see you girls are alright," she said before noticing their costumes were filthy. "Oh, dear. Let me fix your costumes."
She sprinkled some sparkling dust on the girls and their costumes were soon brand new. "Much better," she said, smiling.
"Thank you, Miss Linda," Rachel said.
"Thank you," Katie echoed.
"You're welcome, dears," she said. "By the way, Optimus, you and the others should take the girls to the pumpkin patch. There's a game that's about to start that I think the girls will enjoy." She smiled. "And don't worry, my jack-o-lanterns will teach those rude boys a lesson."
As she said that, some jack-o-lanterns took off in the direction the bullies went and Optimus nodded. "Thank you for helping the girls," he said.
"My pleasure," she said before heading away.
"You girls feeling up to the pumpkin patch game?" Blades asked.
Both sisters nodded and Optimus chuckled. "To the pumpkin patch then," he said.
When they arrived, they saw a person by the entrance of the pumpkin patch that was dressed in a snappy black suit and black coat and had a jack-o-lantern for a head with a black hat on top. "Hello," he said warmly. "I am Pumpkin Jack. The game is about to start."
"What is the game?" Rachel asked curiously.
"There are small pumpkins hidden among the others here at the patch," he said. "And they have stars painted on them. Most of the stars are red, but only two have either a blue star or a green star."
"What do the stars mean?" Astrotrain asked curiously.
"A blue star means you win the first place prize," Pumpkin Jack replied. "A green star means you win the second place prize and the red star means you win a bag of candy."
"Everyone gets a prize," Skywarp said with a smile.
"Yes," the sharply-dressed being said, gesturing inside. "Go on inside and happy hunting, little ones."
The two sisters entered with the bots entering too to watch over them as the girls hunted for the small pumpkins. They soon selected their pumpkins, Katie finding a red star. "I found a red star," she said.
Rachel noticed her star was blue, but she looked at Katie before seeing Pumpkin Jack pop up near her and she motioned him to kneel down to her height. He did and she put a hand up to her mouth to indicate she wanted to say something quietly. "Is it okay if I swap my pumpkin with Katie's?" She asked in a whisper. "I want her to have the first place prize."
He smiled and motioned Linda over, whispering to her. She nodded and used her magic to swap the stars on the pumpkins. "Hey, Katie, check your pumpkin again, kiddo," Pumpkin Jack said.
Confused, she did so and was shocked to see a blue star. "You won the first place prize, kiddo!" He cheered and Optimus took Katie to the prize table, where she turned in her pumpkin and got a large smiling jack-o-lantern plushie and a bag of candy with a popcorn ball.
Rachel smiled. "Thank you, Pumpkin Jack. Thank you, Linda," she said.
They both smiled. "Check your pumpkin again, kiddo," the former said. "A good sister like you deserves a treat for being kind to your sister." He playfully booped her nose before vanishing along with Linda.
Rachel looked again and to her shock, there was a green star on the bottom of her pumpkin, meaning she had won the second place prize. "My star is green," she said in surprise.
"Let's go see what you won then," Blades said, taking her up to get her prize. The worker smiled and gave Rachel a cute little bunny plush with a black vampire cape and a bag of candy with a popcorn ball.
"Thank you," she said to the worker as the group came together, congratulating the girls.
As the girls, Autobots, and good 'Cons headed back for home, both Linda and Pumpkin Jack watched them leave. "Those two are good sisters," Linda said.
"They certainly have a strong bond that is unbreakable," her friend agreed.
"Something tells me it will stay that way for life," the witch said.
"No doubt," said Pumpkin Jack as they headed back, looking forward to next year.
Happy Halloween, everyone! :) Stay safe. :)
