Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of The Fox and the Wolf. Enjoy the 2800-word chapter. I do not own Seton Academy, Bungo, Cygames and a few others do.
Nova would consider himself many things. A liar, a cheat, a monstrous man who had been a part of things at the end of the day. Yet? He was still loyal to his family and he handled business as well as one could have now.
Yet. She would not be allowed to try and deal with it for now… There was too much to their little goal, for now, there was a lot of this.
"Still worried this plan of yours will fall apart?" Ferryl questioned as she frowned, looking to the ground.
"The more plans of this are going on? the more we can fail, and I know you, you love when I fail, you love when I screw up, because it's funny and because you know I don't often fail when it comes down to it." Nova stated before she paused to relax.
He sighed, too tired, too relaxed, cut off from what he had wanted… All it did? All this could do was make it so he did not seem to cut into his mind again and again and again.
All of it hurt, all of it seemed to be reminding him that it could be done and dusted. It was too impossible to deal with, it was too impossible to relax. All of it just seemed to make him want to scream as he realized what was coming and what would happen next, all it did was make him tire from it all.
All he wanted to do was scream and then vanish into the sky, he wished for some reprieve from it at the end and again and again… Then again? He had been too unwilling to have dealt with for now… And he would not have relented even if he wished to know when such was done in a desire to have been dealt with for now and for good.
He was too amused even at the end of the day… It was still too much to try and deal with for now.
It made him pause as he thought of the next idea and then he glanced downwards to the ground, ready for now and unfamiliar with such a thing… There was a lot more to have to try and deal with… Once more? He had not been able to try and feel it, he had not the ability to focus for now.
He had been too relaxed, too focused on the next move to let it all come down to it as he paused, letting it all come down to it once more, he had zero real ideas for now what he was growing on his mind.
"You have no real idea what was going on, do you? There is no real idea at the end of the day, is there?" Nova said before he sighed and then looked downwards.
He had not been able to try and deal with it… Not the way he needed to, not when there was so much to have to deal with for now, not once did he relax.
Ferryl was silent, she had always been silent as she had known what else was growing on his mind before he came down to it now, it had so much to have done for now.
He was too annoyed, too tired, too interested in his next move, in whatever was growing each second. She sighed to herself with very clear annoyance visible on her mind.
He held a lot of sadness and he looked at Nova before he smirked at her before he looked to the side.
He held no such idea and then looked to the side before he clicked his fingers before he hummed and then he paused to try and figure it all out, knowing what was going on before he relaxed.
He had held no such idea as he clicked his fingers as he paused to try and figure it out for now and for good reason… He seemed to be dealt with in waves and droves, knowing this… He could only appear to understand it for now as he clicked his fingers once more.
There were a lot of things that needed to be dealt with for now as he clicked his fingers before he seemed to try and deal with it once more as he clicked it into place.
There was a lot more to try and figure out as he seemed to try and figure it out as she paused to let it all come crash downwards.
He would not be able to try and figure it all out as he sighed… Not once did he wish to relax as he paused.
Nova seemed to try and relax, falling silent as he clicked his fingers against one another and then looked at her, curious as to how it would end… How little it would fall apart. There was very little as he clicked it into place.
"You should know before now what goes on. it will carry a lot more if we relax." Ferryl heard as she snorted.
She sighed to herself before he sighed. He clicked his fingers before he seemed to be tired and then looked to the ground before now.
There was a lot more to try and figure it all down when it was all said and done… He had no words for now as he paused to himself. There was so much more to it and so little as he clicked his fingers, making her tap her hands on her legs.
She knew what was expected… She knew the plans being made… And all it did? All it bothered her with? An uncertain plan might not even work the right way to begin with for now at the end of the day.
It was harder and harder to figure out for good, it was bad enough in his case until it had run aground…. Still? He had been willing to shift some things around and into the ground.
What little needed to be done, and what was not? Nova knew what needed to be done for now.
It did not help that he had a lot more to do and see now. He had a lot more to deal with for now. He had been unable to tread between it and willing to figure out something.
Whatever needed to be done would be done and whatever dusted? Would be dusted. Ferryl looked at him and he knew this woman, she did NOT like to lose, especially when the problems were to be counted in bodies over things like soldiers and such.
She kicked his foot head as they continued their improved version of Morse code.
"You know no matter who wins, we are not going to win, right? The second something goes wrong? They blame one of us, it is always us, it will always be us, it will never be." Nova stated before he sighed and looked to the side.
There were moments of silence where he almost seemed eager to figure out something… Anything, even if it was nothing? It served to vex and gripe her in ways she could not have allowed, for now, it would not bother her but it would bother them all.
He held such to be beyond what needed to be done. Ferryl frowned and she glared at him. something had to give and he knew it, he knew she could only continue to let this transpire.
She glared at him and then finally? She spoke, a few hushed words but she spoke nonetheless.
"I am willing to bow and let my parents have their victory…. So long as my sister is safe, all such things are secondary… As I have said. I will accept the marriage so long as it helps her, you would do the same for your young brother, no? Even I fall secondary to him, no?" Ferryl stated.
He had been willing to do something chaotic and odd. He had been too eager to deal with it since then, he had been unfamiliar with her softer side even if he knew it existed.
Why? Simple she was never one to show a softer side, not once understanding that this was something that had been forgotten so easily, discarded the second it was shown and dusted.
There was to be something to figure out, something to deal with for now. There was more to it than before it all came to a head, there was chaos to be had, and she?
She carried out very well for now, whatever was coming? She had a lot more to it and a lot more either way when push had come to shove, such was harder and harder.
It was clear such a lot had come from it and would come of it for now.
He had been relaxed, far too much for now, and unwilling to deal with it now…. Too much had gone on when it was all said and done.
Nova was not at all stupid when it came down to it, they had a lot more to do before could honestly see himself doing anything now.
He had been too disturbed, too thrown off by what his parents had wanted now, and for good reason.
She had been too eager to get on with her plan when it came down to it.
"You of all people know a dangerous game we play now with it all… Such was life… And life was good, it would remain good, but that does not make it easy." Nova stated before he sighed, too exhausted.
"You of all people should know that going against our parents is not easy. They do not like disruptions to the plans they put so long into making and they certainly do not enjoy the idea of being outplayed at all." Nova stated with a sigh as he did so.
Ferryl was silent, tapping her feet on the ground as if expecting something grander… She knew more and more with each passing second that if they acted against their parents? They invited retribution beyond the scope of their abilities.
The problem? Both were easily thought of when it came crashing down onto the ground.
"I will deal with them, as I have with the majority of it now and forever," Ferryl stated before she sighed and looked to the side.
She did not know what to expect from her parents, defying them was not something people had done before, and very rarely had it ended well enough for her to have a successful record.
"You know very well? That I can and will not believe you with that." Nova stated as Ferryl stopped her feet like a petulant child.
All of it seemed to be worthless to them both when it came to it now when it was all said and done. She wished to think of it now and for good reason.
Ferryl was aware of how ridiculous it sounded now, too unsure, and uncertain of where to go.
Ferryl resumed her stomping, her legs resembling fully grown worms or pistons, pounding the ground in a fashion he could intend to mimic now and for good reason.
Even if Nova knew her plan, she also knew he would object. Why? Because it was funny and because it was not going to help so much as cut away some of the small attempts to understand it now.
She could not stop her parents but she could cut away some of the bark covering it… Get something resembling amusement on her mind… It had been hard to figure out now and for good reason.
Even she pushed to her limits and knew that whatever came next would pale compared to the storm they were dealing with regularly.
It made Ferryl want to sigh and scream at being outwitted by it all now and too much as of now, they had a lot more to try and figure out.
Something about it all seemed to be easier said than done… She did not at all know what was growing on her mind, she did not at all end it all now, they had a lot more to deal with for now.
She did not even know it now when it was said and done. She did not know Nova to the same level it had to be held now. She was eager to think of an ending before it came crashing to the ground as it crashed.
She did not want to try and think of it… Ferryl hated it and she hated it as she tried to figure it all out now, all of it was growing for now on her mind.
Ferryl sighed as she realized Nova was really on the damn issue and it was becoming harder and harder for it all to be done.
She looked over at Nova who simply thought of it as of now, something about it all seemed to be done with it. She looked to the side and frowned.
"I hate admitting I need help… I need help and you know that you know exactly." Nova stated before she sighed and then looked to the side.
She did not even know of it and she did not know him at the being. Nova was growing fonder and fonder of such an issue at the time.
Oddly in her mind? Nova shrugged as if he understood. She held no real idea as to it… She held little to no idea how… Such an idea was going to break her.
"And I dislike asking you, want to trade notes or are we helping each other? We can either try and kill each other or we can help, because we argue this back and forth, back, and forth and forth and forth." Nova stated in a tone that was full of so much snark one could cut through it.
Granted? Ferryl loathed to admit he had a point, she had a LOT more on her mind, a LOT more than this when it was all said and done.
She hummed and leaned back, the leather crackling under her as she sighed, ready to scream and fall down the path she had chosen to walk.
It angered her that she had to admit that Nova had a point, simply because she knew of all people that he was trying to have a point and she wanted it all gone, she wanted nothing more than the point to be stricken from existing.
Still? It was going to be a very damn long day and one where nothing would go right at all, why? Because none of their problems could easily be solved and if they could?
Well, she had no way to cure them now. She had to cure them at the time before she clicked her fingers against one another.
Ferryl was all too interested in something else before long… It would not help well, not at all… Now? Now they held a lot more to deal with for now and for a good reason.
Something within him had been harder and harder with each little motive when it had been tumbling.
She almost stomped on his foot, crushing it as she knew, she knew he was trying his best to push her into a corner where she would have to relax… She knew that each little moment would be harder.
Something about Nova seemed to be annoying her more and more… Was it the fact they held no shortage of warriors on the end of it all before it had been done and dusted?
She sighed and then thought of it all as she glanced at him, watching as Nova shrugged.
"If you cared enough for an issue like this to be handled? You would be handling it." Nova stated in a way that implied a lot more about it than he had wished it… Something about it all had been harder and harder to deal with.
Something about it all had been harder and harder to understand. Nova would sigh if he could… But they would not have to deal with it for now and something that could relax for now… Something about it all had pushed her further and further down the path.
Nova was all too eager at the time being… All too eager to push her for now, something about it all
