"Coffee for you, my lord," Tanny said.
"Well, thank you, my lady. You're way too kind," Drew said.

They both chuckled as she handed him a cup of coffee from the fancy machine in catering. They had been out on their breakfast date before arriving to the arena, and everything had gone amazing. He had always liked her but he liked her even more now. She was just so easy to talk to and charming to be around. It was like she let down all her walls and was her true self when she was with him. He loved seeing her like that.

"Who are you fighting tonight?" She asked.

His smile fell. There was no way around it. He had hoped getting through the morning without mentioning Roman's name but he wouldn't lie to her.

"Roman," he answered. "Quick build to the next PPV. I'm just a stepping stone for whatever plan they have next."
"I hope you win," she said.
"As if they're ever letting me take the title off him," he said.

She nodded and took a sip of her coffee.

"What about you? Who are you facing tonight?" He asked.
"I'm teaming with Zelina to go against Isla and Alba," she said.
"Are they making you into a real team?" He asked.
"I don't know. I don't think so. I have a suspicion they're gonna turn me heel to join The Unholy Union. Hunter mentioned something about how I would fit in with my red hair," she said.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" He asked.
"I think it's good. I love those two. They've always treated me good in the locker room. And it could be fun putting on a witch gimmick. I haven't done that before," she said.
"I know you'll slay at it," he said.

She tilted her head and smiled at him.

"You always have so much confidence in me," she said.
"That's because I know how good you are. I see you out there week after week. You're Charlotte Flair level of good, and she's one of the best in the business. If they don't put you in the line for the big title, teaming with Isla and Alba and maybe going for the tag titles will suit you well," he said.

She moved into his arms so fast that he almost spilled his coffee. He placed his free arm around her and enjoyed the hug.

"You're like my personal cheerleader," she said.
"I don't know if I can rock a mini skirt and pom poms but I'm willing to try for you," he said.

She burst out laughing and shook her head.

"Careful or I might hold you to that," she said.
"You got some weird sexual fantasies," he said.
"Drew!" She laughed harder.

He laughed too and winked at her. He loved being able to make her laugh that much.

"I wish I could stay and chat," he said.
"Find me later. I got room in my car if you need a ride," she said.
"I might let the Brawling Brutes know I won't ride with them tonight," he said.
"It's a date," she smiled. "I'll see you later."

He smiled back and nodded. Another date despite not being an actual date. He liked that idea. He left catering and went down to the locker room. Roman was sitting on a bench with his cousins close to him. He looked up at Drew and sneered.

"Someone saw you arrive with Tanny," Roman said.
"I did," Drew said.
"Why?" Roman asked.
"Because she offered me a ride after breakfast. It seemed really stupid if she left me there to walk here after having breakfast together," Drew said.

Roman stood up and bared his teeth in anger.

"Easy, Uce," Jey said.
"Breakfast?" Roman asked.
"Yeah, you know. The meal people usually eat in the morning," Drew said.
"Don't be such a fucking smartass!" Roman shouted. "Why did you go out with Tanny for breakfast?"
"Because I asked and she accepted. We were both hungry. It makes sense to eat when you're hungry, doesn't it?" Drew asked. "What is it to you anyway? It's not like you're interested in dating her anyway. You're not even her friend but I am. Isn't she allowed to have friends all of the sudden?"
"Careful, Roman. Don't get provoked," Jimmy said.
"You should listen to your cousins. They sound a whole lot smarter than you," Drew said.

Roman balled his fists and stepped up close to Drew. Drew wasn't backing down. If Roman wanted to throw punches, he would get his ass handed to him as well.

"Leave her alone!" Roman warned.
"She's a grown woman. She makes the choice of who she wants to spend her time with," Drew said.
"She will never fuck you!" Roman growled.
"I don't need her to," Drew said. "We're friends, Roman. A word you should look up in the dictionary since you clearly don't know the meaning of it."

Roman took a step back and let out a fake laugh.

"You had your fun. You got me. You made the top dog angry. Good job, Drew," Roman said.

Roman turned around and grabbed the t-shirt he would be wearing to the ring when he opened with a promo.

"It has nothing to do with you, Roman," Drew said.
"Everything has to do with me," Roman said.
"Inside that ring maybe, but you don't get a say when it comes to our personal lives," Drew said.

Roman turned around to look at Drew again.

"I'm driving with her again tonight," Drew said.
"He's trying to make you take a swing at him. Don't let him get inside your head," Solo said.
"I'm not trying anything. I'm being open and honest with you, just like I am with Tanny. I don't need to play games and use her for my own benefit. I'm not like you, Roman, nor do I wish to be. I actually like her. She's a cool person. Thank fuck you didn't manage to break her. We all know you tried," Drew said.
"I will end you!" Roman snarled.
"I bet she'll be the one at my hospital bed while I heal," Drew said.
"Shut up!" Roman screamed.
"Just fucking leave, Drew!" Jimmy yelled.

Drew held up his hands and backed towards the door.

"It doesn't need to get ugly," Drew said.
"But it will," Roman smirked. "Just wait for tonight. When you're on the road with her, I'm gonna call. I'm gonna have her moan in my ear with you right next to her, and you'll know what hotel room she'll go to once you reach the hotel."
"If that's what she wants, I can't stop her. Like I said, she's an adult making her own choices," Drew said.
"And you're nothing but her friend," Jey said.
"Again, your cousins are the smart ones," Drew pointed at Jey. "I'm Tanny's friend. I haven't claimed to be anything else during this weird conversation, yet you still seem to get pissed at the idea of me even talking to her. Are you jealous, Roman?"
"Get the fuck out!" Roman screamed.

Drew smirked, opened the door, and left the locker room. Seeing Roman this angry was enough for him. He had meant every word he had said. He was Tanny's friend and he would not try to cross her boundaries if she didn't want their friendship to go any further than that, but he had to admit it had been fun seeing Roman blow up like this. The truth hurt. Something Roman had just learned.
