I had a sister, Leni, she was a bit of a ditz, but she had a good heart. She might be a bit retarded sometimes, but she's a sweetheart. She'd never hurt anyone, she's the type of person that will help you no matter what. I mean, she was a chronic arachnophobe, but she decided that she wanted to rescue a tarantula from getting killed by an exterminator. She was that kind of girl. If she were here today, I'm pretty sure the world would be a bit more positive. Sure it might be stupid sometimes, but a little goodness wouldn't hurt.

Day 2

We woke up that morning to the sound of the hatch being opened. I opened my eyes, and there I saw her. Leni was there up the stairs. She climbed out of the hatch, way before any of us could reach her. We saw her walking to dad's corpse through the monitor. Luna tried to untie herself to get to Leni. We couldn't get out. No, we wouldn't get out. We saw crouch in front of dad's body. We could hear her innocent voice, "Dad, wake up, it's almost time for breakfast," She said as she pulled on dad's shoulder. I was about to go to the ladders myself, when I saw the same creatures that killed that yesterday stab her through her heart. She couldn't even turn around, she just died there. Instantly.

"NO! LENI!" Lori yelled. She grabbed a pipe, and was about to march upstairs when Lynn tackled her. "LET ME GO LYNN!" Lori screamed. I didn't know what to do.

"NO! LORI CALM DOWN!" Lynn yelled back. "LINCOLN HELP ME HOLD HER DOWN!"

I couldn't do anything, so I obliged. I held Lori's legs as hard as I could. But I wasn't strong enough. She raged, and raged. Screaming, yelling, shouting, she basically did every single synonym of bawling. And we couldn't blame her.

"LORI ENOUGH!" Luna yelled, somehow that stopped her in her trance. She couldn't move because we tied her up, but at least now we know that she's got herself together. "WE ALREADY LOST DAD AND LENI, WE DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU TOO! SO HELP ME LORI LOUD, STAY THE FUCK INSIDE!" I saw Luna's eyes bubbling as she screamed. She wanted to go outside, but she knew she can't. As soon as that sentence finished, she looked down and curled her legs up to her chest. "Can someone please untie me?" She said softly.

Lana untied Luna and sat there beside her. Crying into Luna's arm. Lisa didn't do anything, she didn't want to do anything anymore. Lori, just laid there on the floor, crying. All of us were crying. Just another day I suppose. We didn't eat breakfast that day. We couldn't.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAH! LENI WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT THERE?! THAT'S PEAK COMEDY RIGHT THERE! HAHAHAHAH!" Luan laughed.

When mom got out of the toilet around 2 hours after Leni died on screen. I saw her already sad face destroy. She saw the monitor, and the next thing was her sitting on the floor with her back to the wall with her mouth open. I didn't know what to do. Lily crawled to mom but mom didn't even look. She just sat there. Her body was still there, but her mind was gone. The younger 5 tried to talk to mom, but they never got to her. Luan was insane, Luna was depressed, Lynn was keeping an eye on Lori, and I was useless. I just sat there, indulging the sorrow. As I sat longer and longer, I felt my swollen eye become heavy and heavier. And I fell asleep.

"Hey dude, wake up," Luna shook me up. "You're the only one that skipped all the meals. Here, I got you some food," Luna sat beside me, passing me an open smoking beige plastic bag with a spork in it. I looked at her face and I saw bags under her eyes. "Don't look at me like that bro, I don't what that is," She smiled. The MREs Lisa packed in the shelter were less than appetizing. It looked like freshly made paper mache, but who's complaining. I saw the monitor, I knew the sun was down because it was now in night vision mode.

"Thanks Luna," I said as I took a bite. It tasted okay I suppose. Surely is better than eating mutant meat, now I know that.

"No problemo lil bro," She said as she grabbed her acoustic guitar. "Any requests?" She asked looking at me.

"I'll take your recommendation," I told her as I chewed on the surprisingly acceptable mush. "Surprise me,"

"Sure thing," Luna said before strumming. It was Hotel California. "On a dark desert highway, cool winds in my hair, warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air,"

It was the only good thing so far. At that time, I didn't know listening to a live concert whilst eating mush out of a bag in an underground bunker was mood. My other sisters were already asleep, and mom is probably in the toilet. I just wish that the nightmare would end. How did things go this bad? I suppose listening to Luna singing Hotel California did help make me imagine a lesser evil. It was calm I suppose.

"How was that bro?" Luna asked as she sat her guitar down. The moment the song finished, my food was empty, so I put the bag down.

"It was good Luna,"

"Just good? or am I the best rock star in the world?" She asked.

"You're the best,"

"Thanks bro," Luna said as she raised her fist for a fist bump. I bumped it.

"Anytime sis,"

"So, do you want another song?" She asked with a weak smile.

"Yeah, that'll be fun," I told her.

"Alrighty!" She said as she picked the guitar back up.

We sat there, singing whatever song that came to mind as our eyes stared at the monitor, looking at everything that's happening around the bunker. It was our little slice of heaven after two regular pizzas of hell. It felt good.
