I sat in a tavern in Mondstat, the Cats Tail was it called? I'm not sure. I swirled the juice in my glass, boredom overtaking my mind and numbing it thoroughly. I had been traveling for several years at this point. Aimlessly wandering around Teyvat, waiting for something to spark my interest. I had recently finished a turbulent errand for Acting Grandmaster Jean. Something along the lines of getting some rare dandelion from archons knows where. The door to the tavern opened with a loud creek and the thunderous sound of a single person's footsteps permeated my hearing. I turned to glimpse whomever had disturbed my brooding session and I never looked back.

He was tall, maybe 5'11. Dazzling red hair and these absolutely soul devouring light blue eyes that captured my attention perfectly. A rough 5 o'clock shadow gave him the appearance of a perfectly tousled adventurer. He took my breath away. He sauntered over to the nearby bar stool and ordered in a ruggedly handsome voice that made my heart work a thousand times faster. I wanted his perfectly long lips on mine. I wanted his attention, more importantly, I wanted his affection.

I slid up to his seat, "What are you drinking for tonight?" I asked, trying to look innocent but also desperately fuckable.

"Nothing in particular, should we find something to drink for?" His eyelashes fluttered as he winked at me. My brain ran wild like a cat on catnip.

"Hmmm… To two handsome men?" I raised my glass in question and watched as he gently clinked his glass of brandy against my juice glass. The sound sent shivers through my spine.

He raised an eyebrow, "Certainly, Darling".

I let out a laugh unexpectedly, his face flashed confusion "On to nicknames already? I don't even know your name, care to share?" I flashed him a smile

"Lavirsol, and you?"

His name was elegant like a white rose, definitely not from anywhere in this time period. I had half the mind to ask Lavisol why he had such a unique name, but I bit my tongue.

"Kadrehara Kazuha, but Kazuha is fine."

"I'll call you Kaz" My eyebrows raised at this, but anyone who was willing to establish a nickname for me that wasn't rude was good in my book.

I steadied myself and spoke quietly, almost whispering in his ear, "Would you like to accompany me outside, I think I forgot to grab something earlier." He nodded and we walked outside like civilized people.

We began to walk down deserted streets for a few minutes until reaching an mostly hidden alleyway. I couldn't stand this anymore and grabbed his collar to pull him into the alleyway, he looped an arm around my waist and pulled me in-

"What the fuck-" I closed the book with a crisp snap and just sat, engrossed in my thoughts. What on earth would Miko give me this book as my first assignment? Surely, she had no idea of its contents…right?

As I sat pondering the meaning of life, Miko appeared in front of me like the sneaky devil she is.

She bent down low to my eye level before speaking, "Enjoying the read so far?"

"It's strange. Almost as if it's the beginning of a love story. I still don't understand why you've given me the task of reading this book. It seems as if it's mostly surrounding Kazuha's infatuation with Lavirsol." I thought aloud.

"Interesting. I think you'll find it to be much deeper than a story of infatuation. Anyways, have a nice day cutie." With a swish of her tail, she had disappeared faster than ever. Leaving me with more questions than answers, I suppose these would all wait for tomorrow.
